1. Introduction to Class: Hi everyone and welcome to my Skillshare class. Today I'm gonna be teaching you how to use chat GPT for copywriting. So today I'm gonna be taking you over my shoulder as I use GPT to create a whole bunch of different types of copy, you're gonna be able to see the exact prompts that I use in the results that I get in real time. And you're also going to be able to see the way I tweak my prompts when church EBT gives me something that isn't quite good enough. By the end of this class, you'll know exactly how to use chat GPT to streamline your writing process and get more done in less time. So without further ado, let's get into it. 2. Brainstorming Ideas: Alrighty. So in this first video, I'm going to show you how you can use chat GPT to shortcut the brainstorming process. So if you've got a client, Let's say you've got a client to write blog articles for. And they want you to come up with new ideas for new blog articles every month. Well, instead of using your brain to brainstorm the ideas, you can just ask chat GPT. It's as simple as just typing in a prompt. Like alright, let's go give me ten ideas for blog articles on physiotherapy. And then we'll see what chat GBT comes up with. Ten common myths about physio debunked the role of physio in injury prevention. How physio can help manage chronic pain, the benefits of physio for athletes. These are all pretty decent ideas for blog articles. Even if you didn't want to use these topics specifically, just having a list in front of you can help to spark some new ideas. But yeah, essentially, it's not just for blog articles. You can ask Jack GBT to generate ideas for pretty much anything. So let's give it another prompts. Let's go give me 15 ideas for Let's go e-commerce products. For health care. It's just see what it comes up with. Health monitoring devices, personal protective equipment, vitamins and supplements, skincare and beauty products. That's pretty good. To be honest. Yeah, you can use this for, for anything really, YouTube videos, any kind of content you want to create. As a copywriter, you're probably not looking to get into e-commerce, but it's just an example of what Chuck JVD can do. So yeah, next time you need to come up with some ideas for something. Why not plugging a prompt to check GPT? Alright, that's it for this one. And I'll see you in the next video. 3. Creating an Outline: Alrighty. In this next video, I'm gonna show you how you can use chat GPT to come up with a really good outline for one of the blog article ideas that we just came up with. So let's scroll back up. And we're going to pick one of these blogs. So how about we go ten common myths, seems like a good one. So I'm just going to copy that. Let's try again. And then we're gonna say to chat GPT, give me an outline for a 1,000 word blog article. Hovering the following topic and paste. Enter. Okay, So chapter EBIT is coming up with an outline for us. And I found I've been using chat deputy for the last few months. And I found it's really good at coming up with outlines. And it just gives you a really solid roadmap to follow when you are creating content. Points that usually comes up with pretty spot on. So what have we got here? Physio is painful. Physios and the effective for muscular musculoskeletal problems, physios and they use massage. You need a referral. See these all the myths that it's coming up with that we're going to debunk in this article, is too expensive. Myth number eight. So it's going to come up with ten. That's awesome. Evidence-based. You can do physio on your own at home. Cool. So this looks like a really solid outline for this blog article. So now it's just a matter of filling in, taking each section and filling it in and guess what? You can get touchy mutates do that as well. That is what I will show you in the next video. 4. Writing Blog Articles: Okay, So in this video, I am going to show you how to get to touch a BT to actually write your blog articles for you. So now that we've got our outline, it's simply a matter of taking H section and asking chat GBT to write it. So I'm going to copy this intro bit. And then we just say write a 150 word intro for covering the following. And then paste. And let's see what it comes up with. Therapy is a crucial field of health care that is often misunderstood and misrepresented. There are many myths and misconceptions about what physio entails and who can benefit. Yada, yada, yada, this looks pretty good. But let's say that perhaps the tone is a little too professional and formal for our clients. Let's say our client has like a friendly out, warmer brand. And so what we can do is we can just tell chat GBT to rewrite the above in a warm and friendly. Okay. Are you curious about physiotherapy but not quite sure what entails. You're not alone. There are many myths and misconceptions about this important field of health care. We want to help you out fact from fiction by debugging ten common myths about physiotherapy. Say, that's much friendlier and Walmart, I would say turn wise. Yeah, that's just another way you can tweak what GBT comes up with. And then it's just a matter of going through the outline section by section and getting a BT to write the article for you. So let's go with 11. And we're right, 200 words covering the following. Copy and paste. Scroll down. What myths that we have physiotherapy is only for athletes. So people who have suffered injuries. While physio is often used to treat injuries or conditions, it is also effective for a wide range of other health issues. Again, the tone of this is probably a bit too formal. So all you have to do is rewrite the above in a warm and friendly tone. And chat GBT will do that for you. There we go. Have you ever thought that physio is only for athletes and people with injuries? Well, we're here to tell you that it's simply not true. This is an incredibly versatile field of health care that can benefit people from all walks of life. There you go. Then you can literally copy and paste this blog article into a Google Doc. Change the formatting. Add some sub headlines, add some relevant links. Promote your client's products if that's appropriate. And just make sure you end with a call to action that is that suits your client. Yeah. I've been using chat j bt to help me with blog articles and it's literally half the time that normally would take me. So this can be a great way to cut down your time and produce more, more content more efficiently. Alright, that's it for now. I'll see you in the next video. 5. Writing Headlines : Okay, So in this video, I'm gonna show you how you can use chat GPC to come up with headlines and subheadings, not just for blog articles. You can also use this for sales pages, website copy, anyway, you need a headline. So I'm just going to stick with this blog article that we've started creating. And I'm just going to pop in, creates 15 headlines for the above article. And let's see what it comes up with. Okay, so it's assumed that we're just doing this one particular myth. That's probably my fault. But you can see it's coming up with a whole bunch of ideas and there's normally at least one or two good ones. So even if you use like say, the stock of one headline and the end tail end of another headline. Or you can mix and match, or if there's nothing good there, you can also ask it to regenerate. So it will come up with 15 completely new headlines. But usually there's like at least one or two decent ones. And I like to mix and match the start and the end of the headlines that it comes up with. One other thing I've noticed that it tends to come up with quite long headlines. And sometimes if you're uploading blokes into like say, WordPress or something. And doing the SEO titles, don't usually say that it's too long. So yeah, that's just something to be aware of. All right. That's it for this video and I'll see you in the next one. 6. Writing Email Campaigns: Alright, welcome back. In this video, we're going to shift gears a little bit now and have a look at email campaigns. So I'm just going to clear this conversation and we'll start with a blank slate. And let's say you have a client who is a business coach and they want you to come up with a welcome sequence for new subscribers. What you can do is actually just type in, create a three email welcome sequence. For a female business coach who helps women entrepreneurs scale to six figures. For instance, welcomes, whoops. Okay, So this answer, I'm thrilled to welcome you to names community I should probably should have put in the name. The female business coach who helps women end up as a female business coach who helps women entrepreneurs scale that businesses. I understand the unique challenges you face in this community. You will have email too. Let's get to know each other. So this is a pretty typical welcome sequence, like I probably could have gotten more specific in what I wanted actually included in HTML. But I think it's doing a pretty decent job of coming up with this with the bare bare bones information that I gave it. Setting goals and taking action. That's pretty relevant for a business coach. I mean, this is pretty generic copy, but I would say the tones pretty good. Lots of exclamation marks and stuff. I would say this is decent. But you were to get a better result. You would probably want to tell it specifically what you want included in each email. Again, you could use APTT, come up with an outline for the welcome sequence. Let's actually do that. Let's just see how it goes. So what I've written is create an outline for seven pot welcome sequence for this business coach. And let's see how it goes. Intro unwelcome says pretty much what it's just written. But again, you could come in and sort of tweak these points before you get APT to write the emails for you. Then if the terrain wasn't quite right, you could tweak the tone. If you don't like what it's come up with at all, you just click regenerate response and it will have another crack at it. Provide exclusive content, tips and strategies for growth, accountability, and support. These are all pretty relevant for a business coach. I would say. Next steps. Beautiful. That is how you use chat GPT for e-mail sequences and you can use it for any type of sequence. So if you're working with, say, e-commerce companies, you could use it for abandoned cart flows, back in stock flows, browse, abandonment, that sort of thing. Pretty much any kind of e-mail you want to write, even sales e-mails. But I will say that charge AVT is not very creative at coming up with angles for sales emails. So you're going to do a bit of work on that end. The other thing I will say is that if I'm doing a lot of flows for one particular brand, it does get a bit repetitive after awhile. So you do have to have a have a pretty good idea of what you want in each e-mail. And I hope that helps and I'll see you in the next video. 7. Writing Product Descriptions: All righty. So in this video, I'm going to show you how you can use chat GPT to come up with a product description. So I've just gone on to Amazon and just found a random product. So let's go write a 200 words product description. For a yoga mat. Features include sweat, wicking, customizable. Most of all. Yes, I'm a writer and available in 20 different colors. Alright, let's see what it goes. Sweat working yoga mat will that is not a very sexy name, is. High-quality, eco-friendly materials is designed to help you achieve maximum comfort and stability during your practice. This is pretty ****. Sorry, excuse my language. I'm sorry. We're going to see if we can make it better in a warmer tone. And include bullet points of the benefits. Looking for yoga mat that, that will make your practice more comfortable and enjoyable. Look no further than the sweat wicking yoga mat. So I'd probably change that open up because that's not great. Amazing. Matt is designed with your needs in mind. That's not great either. I like the bullet points, that's it's pretty good. It's got the feature and then it's what? The benefit. Yep, that's good. Sorry, the second half of it, it's good. But the first bit is not great. So maybe we'll just take this bit and we'll ask it to rewrite. Make it punchier. Oh, actually, no, make it warmer and friendly. Are you tired of using a yoga mat that doesn't provide the confidence of what you need during your practice. Then look no further because the sweat working yoga mat is here to elevate your yoga practice to the next level. We know that your yoga practice is important to you, which is why we've designed this amazing mat with your needs in mind. Again, it's okay. I would probably rewrite this in a bit, but I would definitely keep these bullet points. And I'd probably only slightly tweak this n bit here. That's okay. But yeah, I just, personally, I don't think this introduction is very strong. I would probably take this as a base and then edit. It's quite significantly. So I'm glad that you can see the chat JVD isn't like the most amazing technology. It's not going to do all the work for you. It's good to say its weaknesses as well. 8. Writing Press Releases: Alright, welcome back. In this video, I'm going to show you how to use chat GBT to create a press release. So basically I'm just going to input the basics. So write a 500 word press release for a four. Let's go with dentists for ABC, dentists who have just introduced telehealth appointments. That patients okay. For immediate release. Maybe see densest introduces telehealth appointments for convenient dental consultations. Not the most amazing headline, but it is very clear and concise and sort of what you would expect in a press release. So I don't think that's too bad. I'm just scanning through it. The, This looks pretty good. Now, you can see that it's cheap. Tea is creating a fake court. You definitely don't want to be putting fake quotes in your coffee. So I would definitely replace that with a real client. This is what you're writing. But otherwise, I think it's pretty good. Clear, concise, sort of what you want in a press release really. We've got a little paragraph about ABC dentists, the contact information. And they've also included a call-to-action that F for more information, visit ABC dentists online. Yeah. This is really good. I would say I would replace the courts and then fill in the blanks for the the appropriate details for this particular client. And you could pretty much almost just send that through to be honest. Obviously, read through it and make sure it's all accurate and correct. But otherwise, I think that's really good. Chat, Jamie, tape press releases. Big thumbs up. Alright, that's it for this video. I'll see you in the next one. 9. Writing Website Copy: Alright, in this video, I want to show you how you can use chat GPT to help you with website Copy. Now, I'm just going to be up front. I haven't had a huge amount of success with website copy. It is good for generating parts of, say, a homepage, e.g. but if I ask it to create our Homepage straight up, It's normally pretty average. Let's start with that and let's just see how it goes. I'm just going to clear this conversation. And I'm just gonna use myself as an example, as an example. Alright, so we'll go create a homepage for copywriter, help small business owners create more cells. Just as an example, let's see what it does. Welcome to Rachel. Oh, copywriting. Well, I sure as heck wouldn't start with that opener. I have found it likes to do this sort of pattern with website copy. You're looking for bubble blah will look no further. So that's some yeah. Probably not. Spit isn't too bad. Then saying what I do, which is correct. Here are just a few reasons. Choose me experience strategy, collaboration results. So I could replace those with more accurate ones. Yes. It's not. Right. But I have found more success with going through the format of the page or the outline of the page, sort of step-by-step. So I would say, as an example, I would say Create 15 taglines. For your auto. Crafting words itself. You'll small business, your voice, your story, your sales. Let's copy that connects and converts. That's pretty generic. Writing words that work for you. I also haven't said anything about what my brand is. If I put in more detail about the tone that I'm looking for, more specifics about my target market, it would probably come up with something better. But I mean, this isn't awful. Like I could go through this and perhaps come up with something new or just regenerate and see if it comes up with anything better. These are all pretty bog standard taglines for copyright or there's nothing that stands out to me. Yeah. But yeah, sometimes just starting with a list can sort of help to spark new ideas. I can also try being more specific. This isn't true. I'm just saying what it comes up with. Alright, so you don't have to do for my keyboard to your success, where every word counts. Copywriting that helps you stand out in a good way. Ten years a copywriting, that's a lot of words. Let's different. Yeah, So I think I would say these are marginally better than the first slot that we came up with. Sometimes it's just a matter of tweaking your prompts and giving more detail to get a better result from chats APT. In terms of writing a full homepage, again, I would probably go section by section, so I would have like an outline to follow. And then I would just go section by section. So the hero section, then, why work with me? Call-to-action, that sort of thing. Experience like obviously trach APT is not going to know my experience or your client's experience. So you've got to give it a bit more information for website copy. Alright, that's it for this video, and I'll see you in the next one. 10. Editing Copy with ChatGPT: Okay, welcome back. In this video, I'm gonna show you how you can use chat GPT for editing. I've got some text here from another writer. And it was my job to edit it. It's not full text, but it's just a wooded a bit strangely, and it's just not super easy to follow. So all I need to do is come into chat GPT and I'm going to write, rewrite. For clarity. I'm going to copy paste that text in. And we'll see what it comes up with. The first line here, I've got the question of when you should take breaks, when you make a schedule is a very important one. Not the best sentence. So chat GBT has changed it to taking breaks while scheduling is a critical consideration. That's better. It's more clear, but it's also not amazing. Pomodoro technique gives a clear structure of break time to add to your schedule. And I've written the Pomodoro technique provides a clear framework for incorporating break times into your schedule. Yada, yada, yada. So it's definitely clear up, but let's say that I don't want hipaa formal tone. So I'm going to write, rewrite the above in a friendly tone. And I can already see that this is like 1,000 times better. When it comes to planning a schedule, it's super important to think about when you should take breaks. Luckily, the Pomodoro Technique is head help. This technique gives you a clear structure of scheduling and break times and it's been proven to Bruce energy levels. He is how it works. This is a lot clearer, a lot easier to read. I've broken it up into shorter paragraphs. The tone is a lot friendlier, and it's just miles ahead of what we started with. So let's use the other paragraph I've got and we'll just do it again, see how it goes. Alright, so rewrite clarity and write in a friendly get started. Let's just see if you can do both at once. Probably not, but you never know. Hey, there. Probably delete that. Okay. Good. Excellent. So what did we have initially? It is not uncommon for scheduling issues to arise due to time sinks. Scheduling can be a real pain, especially when things take longer than you expect. Sometimes we think we've only spent 15 min on something, but it turns out we've been scrolling through emails for twice as long. And what did the initial router right? It's easy to think he spent 15 min on a mundane task and reality you've been reading emails with twice that time? Yeah. I think Jack deputies made it easy to follow are definitely a friendly its own. And I'm quite happy with this, to be honest, I think this is much better than what we started with. So this is how you can use chat GBT to edit text. Make it much clearer to read, more concise, friendly, and grammatically correct as well. Yeah, that's I use GPT to edit text. 11. Wrapping it up: Okay, so that brings us to the end of the class. I hope you enjoyed it and got some value out of it. If you enjoyed it, I would really appreciate it. If you left a quick review. If you've still got any questions, feel free to drop a comment and I'd be happy to continue adding to the course as the feedback comes in. So you should now have a better understanding of how to use chat GPT for copywriting. Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.
