1. Introduction: Hey guys, my name is Dmitry, and this cell already
has heard class. And they will be
dedicated to creating a cartoon effect in
Adobe Photoshop. For this class, you can use just a regular photo of
someone or yourself. Just make sure it's a
good quality photo. You'll need an
Adobe Photoshop CS free for newer for this effect. And as always, all
the photos that were used in the glass
will be attached. You can practice and it
repeats step-by-step. I would also like to mention
that all the photos I'm using in this class were
downloaded from Pexels.com. You can search for images there and download
them for free. One last thing I wanted
to mention is that I have two other classes you
might want to check out. I actually never expected that people who watch my classes. So thank you very
much, everyone. And let's begin.
2. Creating The Effect: We're all born with this
photo for a car to an effect. First of all, we need to
remove the background. And for that we have
a cool fewer shirt that was already used
in previous classes. Let's select subject
and masked it. As you can see, it
does a great job. Next step is to make a big head. So it looks like a
cartoon character. For that, we need to select their head and copy
it and paste it. I will use LSAT for that. Make sure that current
layer is selected because you won't be able to
copy the head from the mask. So now we have a new
layer with head, but we still don't
need the background. Let's just do the same
process and Select Subject. But this time,
instead of masking, it will go just deleted. Let's object, so lets the head. So if you'll press Delete now, it will do it the **** to do it, everything besides the head, we need to invert
this selection. Now you can press Delete
and control D to deselect. Now we finally can make a bigger Control T to
resize and ablaze the hat. There's not enough
space for this hand, so we will also name this
picture bigger using crop tool. Next step is to
liquid by the face. So it's not just big, but also looks like
a cartoon character. Liquefied doors indicates
all the parts o to face and allows you to
adjust those in size. I like to make big eyes and mouth and decreased
and no size a bit. You can play with settings and see what works best for you. After it's done, Let's figure head selection because
it's not accurate. Now we need to
liquefy the body too. After liquefying the body, we've got those unneeded
background parts into it, but that's fine. We can teach that in
less than ten seconds, the same way, we delete the
background from the head. We're getting closer
to the end effect. And for that we need to apply
an oil filter to the image. Once again, you can
play around with the settings and see
what works best for you. Now apply shadows and highlights to the head
sold hair looks better. Now we need to apply the oil paint effect
to the body too. And it's better to use the same settings you
applied for the head. Now it's freedom much done, but we don't have a background. So let's make one. For this one, I will
use a gradient effect. It's very simple, but in the
same time, it looks cool. You can use any color you want, but I like to use colors
that are already in there. So there's some logic
and it looks smoother. Of course. Let's
add a solid white. One last thing we need
to do is to as curves. It's finally done. Let me show you the
before and after. Now. I think the effect
of severity, cool.
3. Conclusion and Project Gallery: Now you should be able to create a cartoon effect on your own. If you found this
class interesting, I recommend you to go along
with me and try step-by-step. As I said in the beginning, I will attach this image I
have used in this class. We can try it yourself. And also, I would
highly appreciate few uploaded your results
in the project gallery. I will be more than happy to
see your results and also, don't forget to share
this class with people who are interested
in Adobe Photoshop. There are so many good tricks
you can do in this program. So let me know if you'd like this one and I will create
more classes for you. Have a good day. Bye.
