1. Introduction: Hello and welcome to carve magic, the complete course. In this course, I've included not only all the slides and moves you need to know, but also ten professional routines from my Req Ta. I've also included videos teaching you all the tips and tricks for how to perform like a professional magician. I hope you enjoyed the course. Lets get started.
2. How to Practice Correctly: I have a question for you. If you were guaranteed to get exactly the same results, would you rather practice for two hours or 30 minutes from Bain series? Which one would you choose? Either exactly which one I choose? 13 minutes. With called magic will double the amount of time you put in is important. It's not so much the hours you put in, but how smart the hours that you put it. Let me explain. When I first got started. I put in hours and hours and hours a day, sometimes up to six hours and cinco de a few months. I didn't improve nearly as much as I should have. Why? Because I wasn't practicing the correct things that would elevate my skills. I was focusing my time in the wrong hair is I'm trying to learn as many tricks as possible. If you want to progress false, focus on the basics and most of them. I'll say that again. If you want to progress fast, focus on the basics, on lost to them. I mean, really perfect them until you can perform everything in this cools blind folded. I promise you this will accelerate your learning drastically. By current students, learn what I learned in a month, in four hours. This is because I teach them what I've told you and I understand how to practice and to focus on. With that said, you still need to put in the work. Magic is not easy. If it was, everyone would be Dig, hey, is the exact structure my top students follow to accelerate their results like crazy. At the beginning of each week, pick a slight over retained to practice. Only choose one. But that wake, this is the only thing you'll practice. Depending how busy you all choose an amount of time you're willing to practice each day and write it down. I'd pass. We chose two hours. But you could pick one hour, 30 minutes, or even 15 minutes if you want to. It's up to you how good you want to get and how quickly you won't get that. Each day of the week. Practice, the trick will slide for the exact amount of time you wrote down each and every single day practice with that amount of time. It sounds simple, but you'll be amazed how false you progress using this method. Now that you've picked a move and practiced it for a week, it's time to perform. This is the scary part of the coals I'm program, but I would argue is the most important. Going out and performing the moves will show you if you're good enough, and show you if you've practiced enough, try and perform it to a few pico each week and see how they react. Did they seem relaxed with enjoying themselves while they filled? These are all questions you need to consider when performing at and after you finish performing price-performance. If you have any questions regarding any of the moves or routines in the schools, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me. Send me an email at LAX at maximum Qishan decadal UK. And I'll be very happy to help me work out some little needles in your practice are and really get you performing to a really high level.
3. 7-Week Plan Walk Through: Okay, this is going to be a run-through of the seven week plan. So mostly these are quite self-explanatory. But some of them I will just drive, just known as confused. So obsolete ones, easy Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I say on the performance sections, that will always be Friday. Basically, I would suggest just performing maybe for the first two or three weeks, just your family or your friends. This way it just gets you used to the idea of going up someone saying it was a trick and then maybe the trigger or the trick. And really well, see you need to sort of acclimatize yourself to actually performing because your hands might shake each tip. And it will just get you more used to what it's like performing. So these are very easy tricks on myself working. So that's why I pick these four, the first performances. And in the end of week Goals section, this is really what you should be able to do if you've done all the time for each of the tricks. Now, if you can't do on days, that's fine. Just make a note which one you can't do. So maybe you can't get break and hold it without dropping the break. Maybe next week. You can print this out and then you can make it look nice. Next Monday or Tuesday. Add in holding a break and you choose how long you want to practice for until you've got it so that you can't do any the end weight goals, just making note of which move she couldn't do. And then you can work on that next week. So the next week goals, you'll have completely finished. Ok, so also, I've put rough estimates. Well, I think you should be practicing for this just I've two hours for a whole week. That's not very much compared to our yesterday or today, about 2.5 hours, three hours a day. So I used to be doing minimum so six hours a week. But that's completely up to you if you're going to get to the overhand shuffle. But dust, I did five minutes for one minute and think, well, I'm good enough or that our work from the dove left for another 15 minutes or 20 minutes? Yes, just a guide. You've got something to say. Week one, let's go to A2. So it's slightly more practice in S1 control card with the overhand shuffle. Basically you would just put a cloud on the top of the deck and remember the card. And then you will shuffle it to the bottom of the deck. Retain at the bottom by pinching it and then shuffle it right back to the top without losing it, without lucky hands, without dropping any canals. That's why I made this one. Again, same thing on Tuesday. Double lift or getting a break. That's basically a combination of the two. So you won't be able to get a break and then do double left straight away. And that's what I mean by doubling the carrot controller cannot be have hand and then do it, I've left. So this one is, you want to control workout with the iPod Shuffle. Say maybe goes on top. Then you shuffle it to blossom, then back to the top. And then straight away, you're going to get a break and do a double lift. So yes, starting so link Uber moves together, which is what this plan basically helps you to do to actually use all tools you glad to create tricks. These are two tricks. This trip is basically what I've described here, but I should tell you how to link you properly. Then Friday we've got the two performances. So when it says times Ts, you can do on the same bus and twice or they're on two different people of G. And we goals. You get the idea. If it just says a trick and anyway goes, you should build to perform trig May five times in a row without messing up or forgetting it. 32 as practice. Nowhere much. Israel self-explanatory. And a on Friday we've got perform any other trick. So when you see this, any of the trick that makes any trick you've done in the past two weeks. So you could do criss-cross all the jokes, sandwich, copycat, or double lift review. So you can do three times we wanted. And we goals should be confident in performing both the false cuts. So you should be able to do mouth dropping any colds and always controlling the code. So you never asked domain, then we fall. Cotton mouth control us. Good one. Again. It any of these you struggle with. So maybe struggled with the classic color change. Don't blindly follow this. Set ten minutes there. Just as a rough guide, it you'll really struggling with it. Do 20 minutes or do you half an hour? You know, you've got to work out for yourself. Which, which ones you find easy and which ones you find a bit more difficult. Here we go. Dutch Days, Australia has already good one. These two have really found these to practice these, you lost 20 minutes there. And if you want one of these, move the other day, ten minutes. So this one that you missed, this one or the other way round up to any kind of any number, e to two people or just two times. And any other trick you've done in the past up to you. And we goals should be able to do all of those. If you cannot. You cannot do all these on Friday and Friday practices over the weekend as well. Okay. We five these rule self-explanatory practice, this one a lot here than there is probably going to be your favorite trick. It's my favorite trick. And I recommend getting really, really good at this trick. If you don't get any others to get super good at, you should pick this one, because this one is going to be the one that gets you the best reactions. So that's on the low side. Yeah, you should be doing 40-odd minutes on this to get a good friday, perform data, practicing again, say moon 15 minutes, this is a minimum. Should be able to do these become a weekend you get there either week six. Week six, we're getting into sort of more advanced tricks now. And so this is the bare minimum practice you should be doing if you want to get good, this is only a plan if you're really trying to get good fast, even already bought it. Follow it to a few minutes. So it's basically just going to hide all the tricks we've done so far and took up Monte number one. That's really good. Now for the double lift in here again, because in this one, we're going to be doing, I don't know, maybe five or six doublets. So you just might want to practice how quickly you can actually get a break and DOW left if you go to skip this one. Tick of Monte. Now, ambitious card, this is a big one. This is the second trick, each practice more than anybody else. So here and the ambitious card should be your priorities. That's when it's on the low side up to you, you decide what you wanna do. By day. We've got to form says, hey, I also got to practice sessions of damage Scott and to government. At the end of the week, you should be able to delete confidently without messing up, without dropping accounts, without feeling to do over the weekend again. And now we come to week seven, which is the last week in the plan. This is basically just going to be a recap of old tricks we've done so far. So go ahead and double lift per video. Skype surprise anyhow, any number? Ambitious God. And now, after all of these weeks, you should know which ones get the best reactions. You should know which ones you're good at. It should know which ones are your favorite. So when you do all of these and perhaps them, you should be better at this than you all maybe this, because we've practices a lot more. And you should be better at this. And you heard this because we've done this a lot more and it's a lot easier to almost self working. So you should be able to see a really huge improvement and how you perform and how you've handled cards at week seven compared to week two or three, maybe. These are actually the tricks I perform when I'm a peg show. So these are the best of the best the i found it all mapped forming is does their performance on thursday who just go from any trick to a stranger? Literally any trick, the one that your best app or the one you actually most confident app. The 100 days, if you're not competent and if the tricky ones, lobby zones, just do any car, any number or WE for real, or even the first criss-cross trick. It's gotta be a trick, your conflict forming, that's the whole point. If you're not confident the tricks not gonna come across well. And if you notice that open to enjoy the tricks much. Now, this is a fun one. Create your own trick using the MOOC you've lived. So what I mean by this is How to overhand shuffle you black postcards. You've learned double and triple left. You've learned how to force a cloud. You've learned how to control accounts, you've learned how to predict a card. Using all of these different components, you should be able to create your own trick. It doesn't have to be complicated. You know, you could force someone to coud, have it replaced in the middle, control to the top, do double lift, puts it in their hand. Say, oh, I think it's a black card is a spade. It was the three slides. And you've predicted the card, and then they can shake the card in the hand turnover. And it's also just transformed into blackout. I just took that up off the top my head. I'm sure there's a 100 different combinations. You can come up with. This just for fun. Say absolutely today. Ambitious card again, minimum ten minutes. And Friday. It's the last day of the plan. If you haven't already go wild with the bonus tricks. Say there are coin tricks as a trick with an elastic band, a trait with a finger ring, and a trick with some paper as well, I think. So. Have fun with those. Up to you. How much you practice those the plan is basically fall Cal magic. So if you want to skip ahead, have look at the bonus tricks. See we think that's fine with me. Just add them into the plan, maybe print this out out it down on Monday. I put every lot. And the last thing on the whole plan is to perform any two different tricks to strangers. Now, when you walk up to a stranger, you want to have your pack got up. And I might say to them, I woke up to the site. Hi, I'm Max on magician and I just wanted to practice to see how good I've got this trick. You say, okay, well show you really quickly. Let me take two minutes. Most of the time they'll say yes because everyone loves magic. You could go up and say, hello. D like magic tricks. I've just learned one. I just wanted to perform it to someone I didn't know. Can I show you? And if you say that, a lot of people will say yeah, of course, they would say yeah, it's not because of your delivery or how you went up to them because they are probably in a rush. They've got something else to do is to have nothing to do with you. So if you go up and get rejected five times, don't take it personally. They've probably got a lot going on in their lives and it's got nothing to do with the, they didn't want to say trick. So passivate and bind to different people, showed him the check and afterwards they almost sued them and say, Yes, last week, how do they go? What do you think? I could have done better? Will you impressed? Is it good? What level do you think cannot get some feedback? And that will help you get better a lot faster than I can ever do with this PDF. And so at the end of the week or the end of the plan, you should be able to do the ambitious call routing, which is probably the most difficult trick in the whole course and should have competence to go up to a complete stranger. Asked them showed metric. Do the trick without messing up. Again, should be attrit your comfort with, without messing up and with the confidence to say to them, How do you think it went? How was the trick? And get some feedback? And the movie did if the idea is with your friends, Liberty, nervous to do two stranger, create urine. We cake plan. And make that. We had just going up to new people or new friends that you haven't done a trick. And that way you'll get a lot better than just practicing in a mirror watching my videos. Again, that's the way you get really good actually performing, getting a trait wrong. Then once you get it wrong, if I do a triple lift instead of double lift, every time I do the double lift from then onwards, I'm going to be worried about lab. And then I'm going to know, made the same mistake because I'm thinking about it in my head. So that's how I got really good, is I just performed law. Got it wrong a lot of times. But hybridity washed level goals and you've gone through it, gone to his plan, even roughly. You shouldn't make any mistakes, you should have practiced enough. And that is just to run through. Of course, say, if you want to make it 40 minutes, 20 minutes, five minutes, that's fine. This is all just a guide. Say you've got something to work towards each week. And I hope that was clear. And I hope you've enjoyed the course.
4. The Different Grips You Will Need: The first thing we're going to work on is the mechanics and the bit of grit. Now these are very simple things, but it's essentially most of them. So you progress quickly and smoothly. So first off, we're going to start with the mechanics grip. And the mechanics grit is what you can see here. It's very simply just how to hold the pack of cards in your hand in a stable position. Now from, from the mechanics grip, I could cut the cards down to the table like that. I could switch to the bidder grip, which we're going to learn in a minute. I could switch to a bit of grip and then do a strike cut. I could shuffle the cards from the mechanic script. You can literally go anyway. So how you do is you have your hand, your left hand in a relaxed position. And you're going to place the cards, not this, but at a slight angle. So you'll find is loosely CAL over the pack and your thumb can move on to the cod or onto the edge. Everything should be relaxed and the codes should be grip tightly enough that they don't fall out your hand if you move it around. That is the mechanic script. Now we are going to look at the bidder grip as well. The middle grip is slightly different in that instead of holding cults from below, we're going to hold them from above. Now, the whites do this is you take your right hand, you tell your right thumb on place along the bottom edge of the pack. And you take your second, third finger and place it over the top edge of the pack. You're gonna grip these two together. And with the left hand, you're going to let go. You can see that I'm holding all the cards and they are completely square on every side. You'll write finger can either go next to the others or it can call loosely on top. So to recap, the mechanics grip is in your left hand, palm facing up, fingers relaxed. And then to go over to the middle grip, your right hand is going to place the thumb on the back, the two middle fingers on the top edge, grip and then lift up. These are the two main grips that we need to learn when we learn in cotton logic. So that's about it for the two grips. Go away and practice those, make sure we've perfected them. And now we can move on to the rest of the basics.
5. Overhand Shuffle: This lesson is about the overhand shuffle. It's one of the most important modes you can learn in Card Magic. And one that I really chose to perfect when I first started it. It has a huge variety of applications. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have. Now we're going to learn the overhand shuffle. This is probably the most important shuffle you can learn in code logic is very simple, but it's the first thing I always teach my students. So we start with the cards in our mechanics grip, like you just lent, hopefully. And you're going to take the cards into your right hand at an angle just like this. And you can see my three fingers on my right hand along the short top edge of the codes. And my thumb is along the left short edge at the cult. Now, to perform the shuffle, you simply going to liftoff clumps of cards on top of each other. There are two different ways of doing this. So you can either do clumps, you can see me doing now, or you can do it one card at a time, which looks like this. Both of these are important for alcohol magic. So practice both ways to do the first method, which is clumps of cards. And we're going to hold the cause, like I said earlier. And you're going to your left hand, make a suite of cradle. And you're gonna come underneath the pack. And with your thumb will going to pay off a small packet of five or ten cards and let them fall into your Hide. You'll then going to, because in the left-hand and you're going to come up again and peel off another soon packet and let them fall on top of the first packet. Just like that. You will then go into repeat the action really slowly when you're starting out. So you get the mechanics correct. Five or ten cards at a time until you've gone through the whole pack. Just square that backup, simply going to tap the edges and squeeze the sides. The second method for the overhand shuffle is one way you only shuffle one card at a time. It looks like this. And once you practice, you didn't really get quite quick for this. Start off, you have cause in the same grip as mentioned before. But instead of peeling a few cars off, you're just going to put your thumb on the top card, pushed down and pay it off. Then simply going to repeat for the next card and the next card and the next card and slowly build up your speed until you can do it. About this quick with confidence. I'm now going to give you an example of why the overhand shuffle is so important. Let's say we have a card on top, false. I'm going to place that column top and give the cows have really good shuffle and mix. Now you probably get confused whether to have houses. I've completely kept control on the two of hearts is still on top. How would I do that? Well, I shuffled the two falls to the bottom of the pack. Easily a 100 shuffle. So I peeled off just the two of hearts, and then I shuffled all of the codes on top. So you can see the two faults is currently on the bottom. I then shuffled the pack again in clumps. And when I saw that I was guessing near the bottom of the pack whether to have heart says, I started shuffling the cards just one-by-one. And I kept shuffling one-by-one until I've reached right to the bottom of the pack. Thus pushing the two files right back on top. I'm going to do this with the two faults facing up now so you can get an idea of where the two have halts moves. So we start with the two of hearts on top. I shuffle it to the bottom and shuffle the rest of the calls on top. Then I'm going to shuffle the rest of the deck in clumps until I get close to the bottom, which is about now. And then do one column at a time. Until I've reached the very last card, which is the two of hearts. That is one very easy and simple application of the overhand shuffle. That was the overhand shuffle. It's one of the most important moves to I've come across. So I practice it hard and make sure you can do it with your eyes closed. Onto the next lesson.
6. Straight Cut : This is the video lesson for the stripe cut. Very simple, basic move, Brits, essential email strip. And it really helps you look like, you know, you're dealing with a pack of cards. And straight cut is a very simple move, which looks like this. And you can also do it with multiple packets and did with lots of packets if you wanted to. Start off, we're just going to learn a two packet straight cut site. Start off with, we are going to hold the cards in middle grip. Like I told in the first lesson. So you have your two things on the edge and thumb, black. Now, you'll first finger is going to do all the work. You'll first finger is going to lift up half of the calls. So you can see it's sort of split, split packet that, and now your left hand is going to pinch this packet between the thumb and first finger. It's gonna pinch that packet, Take it off, relax, and then this one's going to get dropped on top. Go through it again. So you're going to hold the cards and bit o Grip. You're gonna use your first finger. And it's going to pivot a portion of cards up, as you can see. And the left hand is then going to pinch this packet between the first finger and the thumb at this left hand is suddenly going to relax. And the packet gets placed on top. That is the straight cut with two packets. Now, if you wanted to D3, it's very simple. It's the same method, but you're going to, instead of causing half the cards at a time, you're just gonna do a small pockets, so maybe that money. So you lift up a small packet, ie pinch. We're going to lift up another packet. I know going to pinch it in the same manner. And another packet. And then the last one gets dropped on top. So to recap, you stop with the calleds in bit of grip. Usual first finger. To pivot half the calls up. You pinch them in your left hand between the first finger and thumb and then drop the Boston half back on top. This is a nice way to cut the cards. Especially when most people would just cut them, something like that. Oh, it's a nice flashy weights cut the cards and if you really practice, you can get, you can get quick doing it with multiple packets. That was the lesson to the straight cut. It's very important you master it as it's one of the basics, makes you look like, you know, we deal with a pack of cards and its usual move on to the next.
7. Double Undercut : This is the video lesson for the double to cout. It's one of the first controls Island, and it's a nice simple way to control, uh, caught from the middle to the tough the deck Without the spectators knowing. The double undercut is the first coloured control we are going to use today. So we're gonna use to, to have halts. In this example. We imagine that the spectator will pick a cod sensitive hops. They will have the two of hearts and then have it replaced in the middle of the pack. I was square up the cards, cut the cards twice. And now you can see that you have hots is back on top. And how do we do that? Well, we start by having the spectators pick any counts, and let's pretend Institute of Hobbes, we ask them to place the cod back as we lift up half of the cards and they will put it back by that, you're going to get pinky break above the two faults like that. And you're going to place the top half on top of that pinky break and square up so everything looks flushed from the front. But when looking from the back, you can see there is that pinky regular. This is that cod. And now, so it doesn't look too of this. What we do is we change to a middle grip whilst maintaining the break. That. And what we do is we lift up half of the bottom packet. I lift it around to the top. And then we lift up the remaining cards in the break and place them on top. Again, placing two hops back on top. I'm going to do that again, but really slowly. So you can see. So spectate pixel COD. You lift up half of the deck and asked them to replace the cod. They place that two hops back, you get your pinky break. You place the other half on top of the codes, square them up at the front and keep your pinky break at the back. You switch to your Bedel grip whilst maintaining the break. As you can see, you're going to lift off half of the Boston packet and place it on top. And then the remaining half of the Boston packet, I'm placed on top. You have now controlled the two false to the top without them having any idea. Full speed. This is what it would look like. Spectator would pick any college. In this example, it's the king of hearts. You says then please place it back in the middle. I put that cop that I say, we're going to mix the cards up a bit. Slit that. And I have controlled the king of hearts to the top without them that that was the lesson for the double undercut, its very useful move and a very simple move to perfect. However, it is essential that you really practice it so it looks smooth and the spectators can never detect a thing.
8. How To Hold a Break: This is the video for the holding a break move. It's a little bit Nokia at first, but it's really importantly persevere and learn this move while, as it is the foundation of the double and triple left, which we're going to learn later. Housing a break is one of the most important moves in carp logic. It's one of the most simple if you look at it, but it's very hard to detect and it goes over everyone's heads. So what how do you break? It looks like is this as AZ stuff? Now, what I actually did that is I lifted up off cards. I put my pinky finger onto this cod, sticking in a bit and then I replaced the rest of the pack on top. Now from the front you can see a very slight gap. If I cover that with my index finger. I don't really see much at all. However, when looking from the back, you can clearly see that there is a big break in the clouds. We used pinky break as a Malacca. So we can always keep track of the cards or a set and called, someone might select it. Say for example, if someone selected this called the jack faults, they placed it back. I would keep my pinky that as I put the calls on top. And from the front, it would seem like the Jack files is lost from the back. I know. I can I can cut to this caught just like that and I will have to Jack files back on top. So too did the pinky break. All you need to do is to lift up half of the cards. Make sure that these three fingers are not involved. The pinky is just going to be treated a little bit. Not not too much. You don't want it like that or anything. But not too little. You don't want to just poking out. You want it just about that. And your way to slowly place these chords on top, making sure your pinky is holding a break in the cards. And that from the front, you might need a mirror for this. From the front there isn't a huge gap. You don't want anything like this at all. You want to almost perfectly flush at the front. And then you can also use your index finger to help hide it. Now, this is the first type of pinky break. The other one we're going to look at is keeping a pinky break under maybe one or two cards. You're not gonna keep your full pinky inks. That's quite obvious as you can see from the front. You're just going to have just a bit of flesh of your pinky sticking in that from the front. E can't see anything. But from the back we can also see it as a little break. There is going to be very useful in the following videos where I teach you to double lift. So to practice this move, or what I would suggest is you lift up half if your deck put your pinkie in, put the cards back on top, square up, and then check that it's all flush at the top. And there isn't too much of a gap from any of the angles, would then drop your break. Left up half again. Pinky that, square it up. And then do your checks. Make sure everything looks good from every angle. And then you can let go of the deck and then repeat as necessary. I would practice this move a lot. Make sure you can do it with any amount of cards. A few calls on the top. Lots of cards on the Boston minutes always nice and flush at the top and a small break at the back. That was the video for holding a break. As I said, it's a little bit tricky and a bit nasty to get it fast. But once you understand it and get your muscles you used to the action of that, it will become second nature. See you in the next video.
9. Swivel Cut : This is the swivel cut video. It's a really flashy way to cut the cards and spectators always love it when I perform this may've This video is going to be explaining the swivel count, which can look either like this or like this, or even maybe not. So the silver cup is a fancy way of casting the Collins Inhofe. Now earlier we learnt the straight Cup, which just looks like this. The swivel cut is a variation on this MOOC site. The first variation we are going to learn is the one where the thumb comes on the back as swivels around. So you have to call it Middle grip to stop. You'll going to act as if you were doing your strike cup first. So you lift up half of the calls with your index finger on the right hand. And you take the thumb of the left hand and you place it just on the back of the call, too much shortened. As you do this, you'll going to swivel The pack a 180 degrees and have it land in your left hand. You then put the other half on top to complete the cut. So in slow motion, this is what it looks like. You cut off off. You'll thumb meets with your other thumb and it just swivels a 180 degrees, lands in your left hand and then the other half gets dropped on top, just like that. The next version of this MOOC is the same thing, but in the other direction. So Snelson from the top, it starts the same by the index finger lifting up half of the gods. And then instead of your thumb going on this edge, attached again to move around to the top edge. And the motion that is going to happen is let this. So he gets lifted up and your hands are gonna move. Let that rot hand is simply moving forward and rotating the packet as it guys. So in slave I should again, the thumb goes on the top edge and it rotates around the other thumb. And when it gets to hit, you drop it and place it on the half on top. Now, the last version of the circuit is using the index finger of the left hand, which looks like this. This is my personal favorite, is I think it looks the fanciest site today. This last version, you stop the same as a ways lifting up the two halfs and you take your index finger and you're going to put it next to the thumb of the right-hand. You'll go into then rotate. We deal to index fingers 180 degrees until it lands in your left hand. You then complete the cut. In slave I should again, you left hands. First finger goes that rotates around and catches the pack in the left-hand. Now, if you want to get really fancy, you can combine these costs together. So you could start like this, then do a thumb, and then do another thumb. Or you could do a thumb. And then to top. It really doesn't make any difference which old you do them and they look really fancy. Whichever way you did. To end the cut, hays is nice. Move the ID. I do my cut or cuts. And then with this right-hand packet, I simply turn it face up and then flip it Iowa. I simply do to move the other move and then I turn it face up and flip it over. And when you do this at speed, looks really good. And that is the swivel cut. That was the video for the swivel cut. It's a really fancy way of casting a pack of cards on spectators are always impressed.
10. Key Card Method: This is the video for the key collared method. It's a very simple method for locating where someone's chosen card is. It shouldn't take you long to perfect. The key called method is one of my favorite ways of determining which card a spectator picked without them having any idea that I've done it. So I'm gonna do a quick demonstration and then I'll get into the explanation. We've tend the spectator chooses a card. So let's pretend it's the two diamonds. As example. I ask them to place it on top of the pack and then cut the pack into and then complete the cutter bearing that two of diamonds in the middle. Obviously, I wouldn't know which card they picked yet. However, if I did look through the deck, I would be able to tell you that the two of diamonds is the Coptic picked. Now, how, how do you do that? Well, hey, is a slow walk through of how you would use this move. I would remember the Boston cod and pack the seven of hearts. And the spectator would reach in and select any count they like. It's three of clubs in this example, I would not be allowed to see this color in the trick that I would place the three on top. And now nights when I cut the three into the middle of the pack gets head. You can see that the cloud I'm a member on the Boston, the seven files is actually going to be placed right next to that, caught in the middle. Now what so clever about this is the I can spread through the deck and I can actually look through and find the seven of hearts. I remember. Here it is. And I know that the code on the right of the seven of hearts will be the cod that they selected so that the three of clubs ready to go through that again with another example. We're gonna use the nine of hearts on the Boston. I spread through. They pick any count they like would be the ace of clubs out Austin to place it on the top of the pack. And then I kept the pack into leaving that cod halfway in the middle. And when I play stays on top, you notice the nine faults is going right next to the cloud apex in the middle. All I have to do is to look through the cards. And I would be able to see that the code closest to the bottom of the deck, This is the Boston misses. The top. Closest to the bottom of the deck is going to be that called the ace of clubs. Now, if I was going to spread these in my hand instead of on the table, I would be spreading through from left to right in my hands with my pink. He's on the bottom kicking the cards in line. And when I see the cart, the, I remembered the nine of hearts. I know that the closest card to me is going to be that card. So I know that God is now the ace of clubs. That was the key card method video. I hope you enjoyed it. It's a very nice, simple way to locate a spectators chosen card without them having any idea what you're doing.
11. The Glide: In this video, I'm going to be teaching you the glide. The client is one of the first moves I learned when I first started and got lots of utilities. So it's really important you learn this as you can use it for loads of different tricks. The move the I'll teach you in this video is called the glide. The glide is very simple move, which basically allows you to take the bottom card, put it on the table, and with a click of the fingers, you can see that it's changed. I could have any card I like on the Boston, have however many cards I count out. The king always stays in my control. How do you do it? Well, firstly, you are going to have a slightly modified mechanics grip in your right side or left hand, thus more comfortable out being your left. And I did it in my right. Let us what you do is use these fingers on your right hand to peel down the cod. Just let that lets you can send as peeling down the code. I'm sort of I'm squeezing the pack with my fingers and pulling down my thumb and index finger and move the pack up slightly as well. And what this does is this creates a little lip on the back. And this is how I can pull as many Kozol's I like without ever moving the king. So this is obviously an exposed view. However done from the bottom. I show the king, I do the glide. Now I can pull out as many co-design like. And whenever I went to retrieve it, I simply reached slightly further back. And then I pull out the king is the slightly Nike move. And it took me to loyal to learn. So make sure you stop early slowly. You have your thumb on the long edge of the deck. You have your other fingers on the other edge of the deck. These three fingers hair, color around the pack and make contact with the face of the card. And slowly pull the countdown. So it leaves about half an inch of the protruding. What it looks like from all angles. When you perform this, makes sure that it's completely parallel to the ground. You don't want any flashing corners appear to anyone who might be looking down. You want to keep the pack completely parallel. Pull out the cards as necessary. And when you need to, you can reach completely on the pull out the selected card. And that would be that called. I'm going to teach a trick which uses this move later in the course. But it's good to have an understanding of this basic move and the applications of it as well. That was the video lesson for the glide. Hope you enjoyed it and learned it well. It's worth practicing this move as you can use it for many, many different tricks. And it always confuses the spectators.
12. Hindu Shuffle : This lesson is going to teach you the Hindu shuffle. This is one of the first shuffles, Ireland, and it's one of the more basic shuffles Econ Lab, there are variety of applications which I'll get into and already suggests perfecting this move as a lot of fun and looks pretty cool. The next shuffle we're going to learn is the Hindu shuffle. This is what it looks like. So it's a relatively simple shuffle compared to the riffle shuffle. However, it has many uses and you can use it to control the cod or to enforce someone's pick account. So let's get right into it. Starts off, the cards are in mechanics grip. With your right hand, you're going to pick up the calleds. Just let IS your thumb is gonna go along the left edge of the packet. And your middle fingers are going in the same place on the other low edge. So this is what it looks like. The grip. Your left hand is then going to be held out in front with the palm facing outputs. You're going to come over. And with the thumb and middle finger, you're going to pinch a small portion of the cards from the top. Your right hand is then going to move backwards, leaving those cons in that position. Then getting to release your fingers and let them fall into your power. You're going to repeat. So you're gonna take another single packet of your right hand, pulls away and the cons get dropped. Thumb and middle finger grip the packet on the top. It doesn't really matter how many cards they grip. The right-hand pulls away and the counts drop. You can do this with the left hand during the movement. I really prefer this method because I think it looks more fluid. Time looks more normal. That is the basic mechanics of the Hindu shuffle. It's quite a simple one in comparison to the others. However, getting the right time in the right speed can be tricky. So I'd suggest starting off very slowly and just making sure you can consistently grab a few cards off the top. Keeping it neat in the left hand, you don't want all the cards slipping about. Nice and controlled and nice and neat when you first start off. Now how do we use this to force a cloud? Let's set the jack halts. For example, I'm going to keep the Jack files on the bottom of the pack. And what I would do is I would say to the spectator, ion, we shuffle the cards. I'd like you just to tell me stop whenever you like. I'm going to then perform the Hindu shuffle. And whenever he says stop. So maybe here you can say it's going to be the jack faults because the Jack files on the bottom and it's not moving when I'm taking the calls off from above it. So I could shuffle mole, stop, stop, stop. Stop. So whenever He says stop, it's always going to be the Jack files. So really powerful move because of this reason. So they could say stop here and it would be the Jack, say stop, way down here. And it's always going to be the Jack files. This is the main reason that I would practice this shuffle, not to actually shuffle the cards, but as a really good technique to force someone's pick out. That was the video lesson for the Hindu shuffle. It's a nice, simple, basic move, but there are many applications, as you'll see in the following tricks.
13. Push Over Get Ready: In this lesson, I'm going to teach you how to do the pushover, get ready, which is my personal favorite way of getting a break on the two cards, can also be used to get a break under three cards. We'll maybe even want. It may seem a little bit inaccurate fast by promise, if you persevere and practice, you'll get this move in now to the push over Get Ready is my personal favorite method for getting a break under two cards, which would be very important when we move on to the double lift in the following lessons. This is what the push ever get ready looks like. So I've done that is I've actually now got a break on the two codes, the two top calls to very simple move. But we'll go over everyone's heads if DOM, with the right time. So basically the move is me pushing over two cards and then pulling back whilst making sure my pinky stays in that gap, the site. How do we do this move? Well, first, I would like each practice just with one caught. So you're going to help your coats in mechanics grip, like I have had. And with your left down, you're going to call it up, put it on the edge of the cod and you'll simply just going to push it out over until you can feel the cod. Clearing your three fingers there. As you can see from all my angles, it's cleared the fingers. And I can now do is if I push these fingers up and killed them in Tibet, you can see there is actually a little break forming underneath that. Well, I'm gonna do now is place my pinky finger in, break as best I can. But it is very slowly so you can see all the mechanics of it. I push over with my thumb, clears the fingers. I pinky then goes into that little gap and the fingers come round off the top. So this is this is a break under one card. We're actually looking for break under two calls. So to do two cards, you're gonna start the same. Instead of starting around here on the cloud. It wouldn't move your thumb away over to the edge. And you're gonna push over till you feel 12 cards come off. You can say it as you did it. And it should read like this from the bottom. With this thumb, you won't know to pull back and keep your pinkie in. And these two fingers here helped to square the cards against them. Now, that's a slightly more difficult version. The way that I think you should start off is you push over. And then the right-hand actually assists the left by putting your thumb on the back edge, back short edge of the two cards here. And your middle finger on the top short edge of the cards here. So you'd, you'd put it there, put it there. And I could pick these two cards up if you want it. But what I'd like you to do is push these cards against the fleshy bit of your thumb there. And to push them. As you square them up, you will have an opportunity to place your pinky and just like that. Now, but move at full speed. Looks like this. I push I of a, grab them square up and I have my break. This is the way I personally use to get my break under two cards. It's quick, it's easy. It's unnoticeable. And unnoticeable is exactly what we want with this move site to practice this, first, I suggest learning with one card and squaring up, getting your break. And then when you're comfortable with that and you can do that confidently without looking for whenever you need to. You can push over two cards just like that and likely pick them up, square them. And as your scurrying them, you get your pinky underneath. Now you have your break under two cards and you can perform no double lift from the house to push over, get ready. I hope you've understood oh, instructions. When learning a pushover, get ready. It's really important that you start slowly and build your way up to fight or move for the double left, which you'll get onto in the following lessons.
14. Double Lift : The double lift, one of the most important moves you can learn all of card magic, many considered to be even the most important. This may requires a lot of practice. And as I said before, you need to take this really slowly. Make sure you watch the video a few times, rewind it, and watch it again if you need to. Play it slowly through and understand all the mechanics of what makes us move so powerful. We can see the top card is the ace of spades. We take the eight turns over, give it a flick. You can see it's changed to four files. How did I do that? The double lift is probably the most useful move in all of card magic. It's the reason I told either push out, get ready earlier. It allows you to be able to turn over card back IVR and advocate change. Now, how I'm doing this is very simple. I am getting a break under the two codes, the two top calleds. When my pinkie there at the back. And I'm taking two cards as one. So this is to Caltech because you can say have a width practice. You can make it look like a single card. And then you can use this turn over. And you can see it changes. Set left. I'm going to teach today is as full as you can see, the eight on top, ten IF I added changes. So to start with, you do your push over, get ready to get a break under the top two cards. As you can see from the back angle that next what you're gonna do is take your right hand and you're going to take your thumb and place it on the back right corner of the two cards. On the fleshy part of your thumb note on the tip like this, not in the middle like desperate arrives on the fleshy bit there on the pad. And from the front angle, you can say I'm going to put my middle finger on the top right hand corner. In the same way, it just on the padded bit of my finger. So the thumb goes on the back, the middle finger goes on the top. And you're going to slightly lift these cards up from the deck. It's very important that you don't lift these too high because people will see the called split at the front or the back. So you're going to only lift it a few centimeters. And then the thumb on your left hand is going to act as a pivot point. And you're going to rotate this card by moving the right hand towards the left. Once the cod is fully rotated and in view, you're going to place it on top of your pinky, maintaining a pinky break. So you just hand over to cots as one. Once you have put your thumb or your finger that rotated it around the thumb and got your break. You're going to display the cards for everyone to see, to turn it back over. It is the exact same procedure. So the thumb goes on the right corner, the middle finger goes on the top right corner and pivots around the left thumb. Just let that come. The cow gets placed on top of the deck. And depending on the use for this wave, you could then maybe put the top cod in the middle of the pack and have it jump straight back up to the top. Or you could maybe turn over the top cowed and turn it back and say that you're called. The spectate would say no, you say watch damaging wave. And then you can see it has changed. This move requires a lot of practice. It's the one move I would recommend practicing more than any other may've, as the uses are basically unlimited. So just to recap, you push over to get your break, keeping you out of the pinkie in that. You can see that from the back, as you can see from the front angle, it's completely invisible. You take your right thumb, place it on the back right corner of the two cards here. As you can see, there are two. Making sure all the corners are nice and flush and square. Before doing so, you place your right hand, done that. Your middle finger goes on the top corner. And you're gonna use your thumb here to rotate it. By moving your right hand tools, you're left. You move your thumb out of the way. Place the card on top, making sure to maintain your pinky break from the back. You would ask them if this is that code, for example, then they would say no. You say hold your hand up please. As you do so you turn the car back? I have a rotating it just like we turned to either take the top card off and then you could just do it live and say what was your card? They would answer. And you can see that as now change that code. That was double lift. There are many other ways to learn this, but I think this is the best way when you're starting out and you can move on to this next way after you've affected the Fest. The second way to do a double lift is similar to the first. You get your break in the same way and you keep it that way the pinky. And instead of holding both edges, you're actually just going to put both your first two fingers on your right hand. Under the corner. You're going to put your thumb on top. You can have grip tightly. And you're going to turn the card over. Lot. You are turning the page of a book and you can see now I've turned that over to cards. So you have your break. You put your two fingers that you pinch nice and tightly so that it's split. Drag it to the edge of the deck. You flip it over, making sure the cards don't split like that. You will not completely flush. And you maintain a break always with both the methods. Once you'd have a you can say is that you'll call they would also know you put your fingers under the deck, pinch to flip it back over just like you did before, making sure way to split. And then you could turn the cauda at the top showing that it is now changed. Practice these moves more than any other move in this course, and they'll serve you very well when you come to use them. I hope you've enjoyed the double lift video. And like I said in the intro, this is one of the most important moves you can learn. It is absolutely vital that you spend the right time and the slave and perfect it. You use a mirror if you need to practice in the mirror and make sure all your angles get. And after some time you will be doing this move perfectly. With no one has any idea what's going on.
15. False Cut 1: This is the video for the first of the false cuts I'm going to teach you. It looks like this. And it's a great way for maintaining the top card of the deck. This is the first of the two false cuts I'm going to teach you. This is what it looks like. So as you can see, it looks like I'm mixing the cards up. When in reality, I'm actually keeping the ten of clubs, all the ten of diamonds on top. This is what it looks like again in slow motion, the ten starts from the top. Say how we do this is we start with a straight cut. So what I told The Stray Cat, I taught you to lift up about half at a time. But in this MOOC, we're actually going to lift up about a third. So about that much yearning to transfer that just like normal into your left hand. And you're gonna prepare your pinkie here to get a pinky break. You're going to cut up the remaining half of the cards in the right hand and you're going to transfer it onto the left. However, this time, we're gonna keep your pinkie in so you can see what a pinky break from the back and from the fronts that shouldn't be any gaps. With the right-hand packet. You're gonna simply place it down on the table. You're gonna reach either pickup the packet at the break, drop it on top, and then draw up the remaining left-hand packet on top. In doing that, you will have retained the top card. I'll go over it again once more. So you start with maybe a selected card on top and he saves the spectators. Ok, I'm going to mix the cards up of it. You cut once, get your break, cut twice. Keep your pinky break. Put the other packet down, pick up at the break, drop it under the remaining one on top. When full speed, this is what it should look like. Now, if you want to get a little bit more advanced, this is why I suggest you do cut up about a quarter of the calls, as you can see. And then keep your break above that cell top called Quito break above the top cod. But casa ever going to be 123 more packets before dropping the righthand back it down to the table. Then gonna lift off small packets at a time from the left-hand. I'm dropping on top. So we might go 12345 and we still have our ten on top. That's a slightly more advanced version, which I really suggest you land. And it's extremely deceptive. Atlas false cut number one. It's really important, moved inland so that you can convince the spectators that you're mixing the cards.
16. False Cut 2 : This is the second of the false cuts. It's slightly more fancy than the first one. But I think it's really nice, flashy way of convincing everyone. Do you actually make some cards? When in reality, you're not a little bit more flashy than the first one. So I'd recommend learning as the dike needed table for we can do just in your hands. This is what it looks like. And again, psi. We do this by starting with the cards in a modified mechanics grip and say, this is your normal mechanic script. You're just going to put your thumb on the edge and lift up. So it's sort of struggled in your fingers lattice. You're then going to take you little finger and your thumb on the right hand. And you're going to come to the edge closest to you of the deck. And you're gonna pinch the side like that with the thumb and pitch and aside, let that with middle finger. You're going to bring out about a third of the cults by this. And once you do, you're going to move this packet. So it's a right angle to the large packet in the left hand. The thumb of the right hand branch on the edge is going to contact the back edge of this packet. So you pull this out and the thumb is going to contact the back edge. Now, this middle finger is then going to switch from the first to the first finger. And the middle finger is going to pull up the half a Thurman packet. So you should be holding packets just like this. With the middle finger and the thumb. How would one packet and the thumb and first finger holding the other packet. You then going to move the right hand under the left. And you're going to place the top packet of the right hand underneath the left-hand pocket. E. Then grip the packet between left-hand base of the thumb and fingers. And then the right-hand packet simply goes on top. You've retained your six diamonds. Can sky do that again, this time, slightly quicker. So you start with the cause in your strategy, grip on the left hand or your right hand comes under, lifts off a third of the cards. The thumb and middle finger then grip the packet as the fingers switch. You lift up. The packet, then comes underneath the left-hand packet, and the right-hand packet gets dropped on top. And you can see six is stuck onto. What's great about this movie is it retains complete odour of all of the cults. And this means that you can do the cut as many times as you like. And you can even combine it with the one we learned earlier. And all the cards will always stay in the exact order that you started. That is why these two false counts as so important to learn. That's the second false cut. So really flashy move, which I think you should add to your repertoire.
17. Card to mouth control : This is the Calit2 mouth control. It's one of the more fun and exciting controls to perform. And you can also use it as a trick if you want to. This is one of my favorite controls today. As you can use it to control the selected card to the top, or it can be used as a trick on its side. This is what it looks like. You shed spectator that Chinese and COD and you say watched four of clubs. You can say, I'm going to put the full in the middle of the deck. And then this middle is going in the middle of that metal. You can see it gets squared up. And just like that, you can see it jumps straight to the top. Now, how you do this is not too difficult technically, but it is important that you do the image at the right time so the spectators don't see what you do. Say the spectator has selected decode. It might be on top, all they might be holding it. You'll get into caught on top. And with your left index finger, you're going to co, pilot round and place it on the Boston College on the corner. You'll then getting to move the edge. Just let that so you can see the columns actually buckling. Now. I'm from the back. You can see that there is a visible gap where the code is being buckled. So when you're talking when you'll explain what you're about to do, you just put your finger there and you're just gonna simply leave it back. As you can see, the cod bends from the front and bends from the back. You're going to put your pinkie in that gap and get pancake right under the Boltzmann column. This is the advanced version of this move storm I personally, so I would just get the break lie that and now I've got it. If you're not confident using this method. Another one is just basically to ruffle, ruffle up. One card from the Bolsa, get your pinky. And and then like I this is the method I would I would use if you're just starting out. So instead of buckling it, like I you simply just refill up one COD. Just like that. And you put your pinky then now you've got your break. Next is you're going to transfer this sprite into a bit of grip. So the bitter grit which we learned earlier looks like this. And as you can see, my thumb is maintaining that break. From the front. You can see that there is nothing to be seen. So so let's recap what we've just gone over. You refill up from the bottom and see that I go to cause boxed and this is why I use the buckle, get ready instead. I riffle down, get one called. My pinky guys that my thumb then comes over and goes on the short edge of the deck, maintaining the bright and my middle finger is going along the top, my left-hand. Then let's go. Now from here, you are going to do the swing cut, which looks like this. We're going to lift over the packet and we're going to push the top card of this left-hand packet over using the right-hand packet, Hey, you're just going to flip it. So everyone can see the face of the cloud. I'm gonna go over that again. So you get you'll break underneath. You go into your bit of grip, maintaining the break with the thumb. E, straight cut the packet over to the left hand. You push over the cod. And when this packet tonight with the cod. And when it gets to about, hey, you wanna move this thumb on the left hand out of the way. So the Comic-Con full flush on top of the deck. And willing to cite them. This is your column, this is the king. And you'll then I'm gonna do the same move, flipping it over. So that's now face down. The right-hand packet is then going to move over the left. And these fingers on the right hand, the pads of these fingers on the edge, as you can see, all going to go in the middle of this cloud. So they're gonna go like that. And now the right hand is going to simply move up until the break at the back lines up with this edge of the deck. So as you can see, the called Stop, the college start like this. And you're going to keep pushing food until the two edges line up. Say, right that. Now what you do is you're going to let go of the break with your thumb and just lift up the top packet. And this next move is very important that you perfect. You want to, with your left hand go completely palm down, showing the king. Now in reality, you've actually dropped a cod. The college that we had in the break. You've dropped a color on top of the can put because you're sharing it from this angle. The spectators have got no idea. So again, quickly. So you've got your break. You've got that King. Hey, you've just shown it. You said, okay, what's your king? You're going to square it up. You're gonna drop your break at the back, dropping it on top and said they'd, I'd see this code. You're just going to move your left wrist down. The psi k. Let watch the king. With the right, with the pointer finger of the left hand. You're going to squeeze the king in. The risk turns round. And you're gonna push off the top COD. I know I'm going to place it on top of this packet here. And then the left-hand packet is gonna go on top. So what this looks like is you've just turn up the cod, shout it to everyone, puts it in the middle of the deck. You can square it inlet lab click, and it will be on the top. So just to go over again, super slow motion, you get you'll break. We feel pain qui e transfer to a bit of grip. Maintaining the bright and that's very important. You swing over half of the cards. You're going to show you that caught by flipping over makes you a thumb moves out the way. You say that's your code. The king of hots. Ten it back IVR. And you think is on the right hand are gonna get in the middle of that cod. And you're going to just push up until by the next line up, you're going to let go of your break. Dropping the card on top side, they don't see this. You're willing to move your left wrist down. Say that's you're called The King of halt. So we're going to put it in the middle. Square it up. As this moves round the top card, you can pin it in place with this finger here. And then the other guys on top, you say what your code is gonna get in the middle. Then you can snap your fingers and it's still on top. So if full speed, this is what it looks like. Let's say, okay, hey Joe called The King of halts. We're going to place this in the middle. Ow.ly that click. The thing is, it's back on top. Now, I did mention that you can use this in a trick. If you want to. This is what you can do. Psi, you go bounce it the same way you get your brake. You share that called The King of outs. You tend to either push up, let go of the break, flip Iowa. You say, OK, let watch the king. And then you split this right-hand packet using strikeout. You put the king halfway in. And as he gesture for them to push it in, you say, can you push the king in? This left-hand, is gonna get up towards your mouth. And you're going to pinch this code between your teeth in your mouth. So you've pinched that up that, and this hand comes by down when they're pushing the code and they will not nice that you've done this. And that sounds very bold. I've done this hundreds of times. I've never been cooled. So how it would look in real-time, they would see that sets the HFiles. Tonight. I want you to push your eyes faults in the middle for me. This goes up to my mouth. They push it in and you say, okay, watch. And then you point up to your mouth and it will be high enough for them to say. That is the Collatz mouth control. It's a little bit complicated. However, it's a really, really good control, even if you want to just get to get the CO2 at the top. I don't know two bullet about doing the call to mouth routine. Hope you enjoyed the call to mouth control video. This is a brilliant control because it's a master class in misdirection and how the spectators minds walk.
18. Triple Lift : In this lesson, I'm going to teach you the triple left. In the previous lesson, we learned the double lift, which is one of my favorite moves. The triple left is very, very similar, but it's slightly different in that you'll hold him more cards at a time. So there's a higher chance that someone might see something. It's not too hard technically. But it is important that again, you use mirror when you're practicing so you can see if you flash and you have any bad angles. Very similar to the double f, the triple left is a move that is not used as frequently. However, it is important that you name it so you can meet yourself out with sticky situation. The triple left, looks just like this. You can see the jack of clubs is on top. If I take off the cod, gave it a flick, you can see it's changed into the ten. And if you look at the second code as well, you can see it's actually the eight. Now. Well, I did that was I lifted up three cards instead of the normal tape. Side status. It's very similar to the double Left. However, instead of pushing over and getting a break on the two, and that she gonna push in the three counts. And then I'm going to get my break, as you can see, back three calls on toga. I'm going to perform it very similarly. So my right thumb goes on the back right edge, my middle finger, guys on the top right edge. Now I lift up a little bit. I rotate slowly around my left thumb. When the code is in full v, my thumb moves out away. Because get placed back on top, making sure that I keep my little pinky break that. So I dropped calls to turn it back over. It's exactly the same. My thumb goes on the corner. My middle finger, you guys on the top edge, I rotate around the thumb. Thumb moves out the way. I drew up all of the cards. And now you can see at the top and the second cod have changed. That was the video for the triple lift. This move is not too dissimilar from the double lift. However, there is a slight change in the mechanics of the mayor said, make sure you practice that as well using a mirror. Onto the next lesson.
19. Riffle Shuffle: This is the video lesson for the riffle shuffle. The riffle shuffle is probably one of the most flashy ways you can shuffle cards on one of the most well-known. It's surprisingly not too hard once you get the lack of it. The riffle shuffle is one of my favorite ways to shuffle a deck of cards. This is what it looks like. So it's Percy fancy and you've probably seen someone do it at some point. And this is more advanced and doing the conventional overhand shuffle, like I told you earlier. But he gets to college really mixed and it's really quick today. So the first, first step is you are going to start in your mechanics grip like normal. You're then going to come over to your right hand and you're gonna place your right thumb on the back edge of the card slot as you're going to place your two middle fingers on the other shortage. But this time on the front. You are going to now use this finger to bend the pack, as you can see there. And bending the cards against this bit of my finger walls, also pulling back with my thumb. So I'm bending the cards back. You can see as big bow in the cults from where I've been. And now, as you can see, my thumb is contacting all of the codes on this, this edge here. What you're actually going to do is you're gonna slowly pull back in one color to time. You're gonna riffle down using your thumb. So you're using your first finger to bow the counts. And your thumb is slowly just pushing down and down and down. And the calls going by one at a time. So you're gonna get to halfway. And you're going to take this off and you're going to place it on the fingers of the left hand. This is very helpful in slow motion. And you're going to peel off and flip them up to the thumb of the left hand. Let me do that again in slow motion. So you can see from both angles, would it looks like. Ok, once you've got to this stage. You're going to have you buy, you're going to have both thumbs on the show edges, the inside short edges, and by inner fingers on the outside edges, your middle fingers can either Colin earlier or what I prefer to do is have them on the outside. You'll first index fingers, they are acting as a Bowen. So for help to bow the counselor S, C, You want to play studies either hair, all that. And now with your thumbs, you're just going to simply go up. I'll tell you feel codes start to flip out one at a time. Ideas just by moving your thumbs up and up and up until you can feel the count starts guy. And when you first start, it might look something like this. Or even drop them that's like, Hey, this is a very, very hard move to learn. You need to get to really slowly and following the steps. So we're in this position. We've both the counts and you're going to move the two packs together so that when you release a cod, they will actually overlap together. So when you release all the colors at the same time, you can see that actually link and I am now intertwined with each other. The second step in this is called the bridge. And the bridge is once you got into this position, you're going to place your thumbs together. In the middle of the two packets. Your fingers are going to grip really tightly. So there's a lot of pressure going only you can see the columns have bending and you'll go into Quito. Thumbs really steady is strong as you bend the pack down with us. You'll think is then released. And if I moved my fulfilling my all my fingers away from each other because we'll start to spring. As you can see that one more time. So you do, you'll riffle e, transfer the pocket. You start to bend. And one column at a time. You shuffle them together. Push the minute a little bit. Your thumbs go really close together. On the top. E, bend down, your fingers, move out the way and is slowly move my hands apart whilst keeping my thumbs on the top. You can see the counts shuffled together. And that's a completed riffle shuffle. I would suggest you practice one step at a time with this move. So start first with just being able to do this over time very comfortably. You're struggling with that. Just switch grips slightly, maybe your hands maybe more to one side or move your thumb over to the corner. Yeah, just experiment with it and try and work out what works best for you. Say P o by cough. E, transfer it. As you can see, my fingers, hey, helping to push the packet up, transfer the packet. You can square the packets up like this by hitting them together and making sure the edges and less than shop e then move them close enough so that when you release they would lake E push them in a bit so they didn't fall out. Your thumbs go on the top, you'll fingers go on the bottom. Nice and strong. Bend down. And then as soon as I release my hands, they will link just like that. It's very complicated. Move. It's hard one to learn file. It says definitely worth it if you put the allison as spectators. Always really impressed when I do this. I hope you enjoyed the lesson for the riffle shuffle. It's a little bit tricky when you first get started. But if you take it slowly and really work on the mechanics of the MOOC, I now you'll get it.
20. Riffle Force: This is the video fully riffle force. It was to fast caught fullest the i7 allowed. And for that reason, it holds a special place in my heart. It's one of my favorites for a reason. It's quick, it's easy, and it always goes past the spectators. Hope you enjoy it. The riffle force is one of my favorite ways to make sure that someone picks the card that I want them to. This is what it looks like. Someone would call out, stop. Stop. And say, OK, have a look at the code. You just said Stop app. They would have a lip and I would know that it is the isis bytes in this example. Now, I did that by ruffling down halfway. And when I got to where they say Stop, instead of just lifting this packet off. Well, I actually do is I use these three fingers head to really push how down on this top card? I use my thumb and index finger to pull up the packet. And because I'm pressing, so how'd you can see at the top caught actually slips onto left-hand packet. So they say stop. And you can see the called slips from the top onto the left-hand packet. Now when I did, that speed is not very deceptive obviously. So to make it really deceptive, This is what we did. Riffle down. They say stop. And instead of just pulling up, at this point, you're actually going to twist your wrist a little bit. So the cards are parallel to the ground. You're gonna pull up as you squeeze with these fingers. Nice and quickly. And as you do so, the left wrist is going to turn the palm up to display the cod that they just said stuff out in full space. This is what the refund full slips like. Stop. Have a look at the code and it's the one that I already NIH. How you would use this method in a trick is you would remember the top caught the eye spite. You would then write ace of spades onto a piece of paper. And you would fold up really small so no one can see what it says. And then you'd give that to someone and say just put that in your pocket. That's a prediction. Don't look at that until I say set E then off the bus and say Stop. Stop. You do your method is a slip the called twist your wrist. And you say have, you stopped up? They will have a look and it will be the ace of spades. Say, put the callback in the middle of the pack on top. We say, now I'd like you to have a look at the prediction I gave you earlier that will unfold it. And lo and behold, it says the ace of spades and you have predicted the future. How's the video for the roof of false? I Have you enjoyed it? It's one of my favorite forces. So make sure you practice this one and it'll serve you really well.
21. Shape Shifter Colour Change: The shape shifter color change is probably the color change I used more than any other. And for good reason it looks absolutely fantastic. The closest thing to real magic of MSA, and the reason the shape shifter is one of my favorite color changes is because it's really quick, really simple. And it looks like the cards a visually morphing into one another. We start by taking two cards of the deck. And you want to line them up together back-to-back. So you can see you've got a double faced code. You're going to place your right thumb on the bottom right-hand corner next to the k of the King. You're gonna place your middle finger in the top left corner. Also an x to the k. And now you're going to bend down slightly so that you can see as a bio in the calleds. Next step is you're going to use your first finger to contact the edge of the king right next to where the heart is. And you're actually going to pull towards you with that Banga. As nice as the cod rotates around, revealing the current behind it. So you start with two cards back to back them up. Make sure they're nice and neat. Thumb guys, Nikkei, middle finger. And slowly with your first index finger, you just rotate all the way around until you can see the other color. What you need to practice is doing this at reasonable speed. So instead of doing it slowly, like I have just that you need to be able to do it quicker and quicker and quicker. And once you can do it about this quick, you're ready for the next step. Second step is to do the move. But instead of doing it stationary, you're actually going to start moving your arm and your wrist backwards and forwards. As you do so you're going to perform a may've. As you say, it changes, the bigger action hides the smaller action. So if you want to make sure that no one's ever going to say it, you shake your arm lots and very fast. And in the middle of the shaking you rotate and revealed that it has in fact changed. You can then put this code on top of the deck, take it off the back, and know, have any idea what you've done. How you would use this in a trick is you would take a spectators god. So let's pretend it's the king of hearts. You would control it to the top 0s and one of the controls that I've taught. So let's pretend we're using this one. It goes into the middle. And you say to them, say Stop fully. They say stop at this card. It's the queen of diamonds. You say was this show College, they'll say night. You take the queen and the simple shake. You can sit tons into the king. But it's slides today that you need to control that call to the top. And once you have that colored on the top, you're going to get a break underneath it. Easy Marla methods I've taught. Once you've got your break, you can take a random caught up the middle. And you're gonna place this card on top, blacks back. You'll then use square them up so you've got two cards with a brake underneath them. Your thumb goes next to the number, your middle finger goes next to the other number. Take the two calls off as one, making sure you bend them so they don't split. You start shaking them. As you do with your index finger. You write, type the code round to reveal that it has changed into the kingdom. You then place both of these cards on top of the deck. Take up the top one, show it on the back, and that is your trick, complete. There's one color change the art practice, it would be this one. Shape shifter is a fantastic color change. And when done correctly, you just can't see how it's done. It looks like the card is completely melting into another one.
22. Snap Colour Change : This is the video for a snap color change. So one of the fastest, most stunning color changes either I've come across nasa, I want to teach it G today. This is the snap change. Take cards you shut. And with a simple snap, it changes into another cloud. It's probably the quickest color change I know of. And this, along with the shape-shifter change, my favorite color changes to perform as they get the best reactions. So the snap color change is very similar to the shake. Well as set if the shake to change it, you're actually going to pigment called round and have it change just flat out. Say start with, you're going to get your break under your two cards. You'll then going to turn off the top called maintaining the brake on the wall. And just like the previous change, you're going to square root of the cards up. So you've now got a break under two with two cards back to back. You put your thumb in the index corner where the numbers and you input your middle finger in the other index corner, just let out the bend. The cults dislike the shape change. And now the fingers of the left hand are going to be doing all the work. So thumb and the middle figure all going to be contacting the edges. You can see the middle finger guys on the other edge here. And the thumb goes on the other edge here. And in slow motion, they pinging the cod rounds to slide out. And slow motion, they are going to move together like this until the edges of the college snap out. And that's what's called the snap change. Say you're gonna move your middle finger and your thumb together until the thumb releases. And the middle finger brings the cob round in full space. This is what it looks like. I can help these fingers by gently moving your right hand up when this motion happens. So instead of just that, I can actually move this hand up little bit. And that helps the cards to rotate a little bit faster. As you can see when you do it with both waves, it really looks like the cars or just melting into one another. So the best color changes other let say, how do we get into this position? Well, you would have the spectators select a card. So let's pretend that it's the king of clubs. You say to them, Okay, we're gonna take the king and we're going to lose it in the middle of the deck. Using a control. You're actually controlling it to the top. And you would say, is this your card? They would obviously say no, as I call it was the King. You're gonna get break under the top god, which is that called the Came clubs. You're gonna take the seven. We're going to place it on top, square everything up. And you're gonna put your thumb in the corner, your middle finger in the other corner. And it would have been recalled so they didn't split at the edges. Thumb's gonna go on the corner next to the other thumb. And I'm going to finger's gonna go on the other corner and you're just going to the move that we just practiced. So the right hand moves up. That's the left-hand leaves away and squeezes together about this change in the Qing. You're going to then drop both calls on top of the pack. Take the king off, show the back and say was that yoke. And this move can take quite a long time to effect. However, it's one that I would personally spend a lot of time on because the reaction to psi fantastic. When you get it Mouse did you spend the cards? You don't want them to flap, otherwise, it's a lot harder to rotate. We can append the cards and using your left hand, you're going to squeeze together as your right-hand moves up. And the college should change. And that is the snap change out. The video for this step change. It's one of my favorites, as you can probably tell. And it's one of the best ones I've found to really quickly changing cowed into another.
23. Classic Colour Change : The classic color change is one that I think every magician you should use and perfect. It was one of the first color changes I have alot and I've got fantastic reactions where that, whenever I perform it, the classic color change is one of the first kind of changes I have a lot. It's, it's a bit of a classic of calm logic for very good reason. This what it looks like. The classic color change is not too technically difficult. But you can see all the cards properly. You need to, you need to have relatively big hands and just perform it in a really smooth slick action so that even if your hands all slightly small and you come on Cape Cod and your hands like this. Spectators while scouting out. Sight is what it looks like again tonight for the a. So I would say is that you'll call it, say no. And little wave, you can see that it changes into the non-default psi. This is how you do that. You get two cards and you get a break. So I've got the ace and the nine, get a break underneath them. You're going to perform a double lift. The mechanics of the move that the top caught moves forward. We call underneath it, then moves back, under your hand, gets pushed back forward. And then the nine gets lined up again, and then it will have changed. That's what's happening underneath my hand. So I push the colored fluid It's called is then going to become taxing the pads of my hand. My hand moves back. Cod is currently in my hand like this. And this front finger, you can see wiggling leaves the ice back as my right-hand leaves the cards together and forward, then my right hand can simply wife. That's what it looks like Islam, I should say. You start off by getting you break into two using any of the methods I've taught edu double lift. And we do right hand y1 to line your pinky finger up with the edge of the cards. So I put line let out. Your fingers need to be completely together as even any gaps, spectators will seal this guy on CPU Pinky that. And you're going to move forward probably about half of an inch. And the top caught, the nine will move with your hand. You'll then again to use the bowl of your thumb to contact the ace of clubs. As you can see, when my right-hand reads back, it will actually snap out of the nine. And from all angles you can't see there is a card in my hand. You'll then get to square the nine back. I'm at the right hand. You're just going to move forward. And you're going to wait until this edge of the ice hits this finger. So I'm going to go about, this is an exposed view. Youtube hits that finger. And then you can wave, say, unexposed v. You push the cart forward, the bool of your thumb hits the nine. For that, I'm going to move up as you square the calls together. And when the cod hits that finger, you can let go and it fills fade. It can tell you nine, and change it just to the ice. You would then ruffle up to get a break under the two cards again and perform you double left town in Iowa. That was the classic color change. It's a little bit tricky when you combust, okay. Now's the classic color change. It's a little bit tricky when you first get started. But passivate really studied the mechanics, rewatch the video if you need to. I promise you'll get it in no time.
24. Charlier Cut : This is the video for the shallowly I cut really nice, fancy, one handed way of casting the cards, which spectators are always impressed by. The chalet cout is one of my favorite manage today in magic. It's really quick show wave, but I really recommend you learn it as really looks like showing off when you can cut the college with one hand. To do the move, you're going to stop in a modified mechanics grip. So slightly raised up. And very simply we're going to, we will thumb. Do this with your thumb. You're gonna bend in notes. As you bend inwards gently. You can see that the cod stocks full. Now when you've dropped about half of the cards into your palm, your first finger is going to contact the edge of the packet where the T packets made. It's then going to push up all the way. And when it gets the top your thumb releases. It's really healthy slyly. And he let guy and the packets should folks together. Here's what it looks like from my angle. Say the cards full. The middle finger pushes up. And then you simply use the thumb to push back down. You might want to watch that again and rewatch it. Say understanding mechanics. It's a bit of Inaki moved yet it fast, but once you've got, it just clicks. And you'll be able to do every single time you start hay and let the counts drop. Your first finger, pushes up and when your hands feeling a bit stretched, you just let go with your thumb. And then he let gravity lifting thresh the packet. That is the Shelly I cut. That was the shallowly I cut video lesson. It's a really cool way of casting the cows with one hand, which really makes you look like, you know what you're doing.
25. Card Spring : This is the video fool the counts. Frank. Possibly the most difficult move in the Holocaust. But I would say one of the most impressive called Spring. Now there are many different ways of doing this. I'm gonna teach you the way that I've found most easy. I'm gonna play that in slow motion. So you can see I start with my thumb getting almost on the edge but not quite at the bottom left-hand corner. So you don't want to have it completely on the edge like that. You want to have it just on the last sort of fee centimeters of this short end. The spotlight lab, IIT then are going to have this point of the cards. And it's gonna go in-between the MIT, the middle and third thing. So it's gonna go like that. And your thumb guys, like I described earlier, you'll first finger is going to go next to the middle finger on the short top edge. This is what your grip should look like. Now you're going to make sure that the cards are really in your hand. So close to your palm as opposed to on the edge as you won't be able to get much power out of your fingertips. You want to write, as you can see, the cards already starting to bend. By squeezing your hands like this. You get the cost depend properly. And as you can see, these cards small, straight when these ones, this is because they are closest to the end of the thumb. To get them to spring off, you're simply going to push down with your thumb and move backwards like this. I did all of that just with my thumb, these fingers and not doing anything. My thumb is doing all of the work and spending down. As you can see, it's pushing down towards this middle finger. Practice doing is really slowly at first like I just did. As you really need to get a feel for how quickly the Cold Spring. And to catch them, you're just going to hold your left hand as wide as physically possible. And pretty much for the poem, we deal thumb, wherever your thumb is going. That's why they call 2K. So I'm a and with my thumb. And that's why the Collins guy. As you get better, you can build up today from y the distance and stuffs enough. It might even be easier to stop going directly down and doing it like that. That's not really much more I can teach you on the cards rate somatize moves, it's really tricky, but once you get it looks absolutely brilliant. Re-watch the video if you need to, and I'll see you in the next one. That was the video, fool the cult Spring. I'd really recommend taking your time with this move as it's one of the more difficult ones, is really flashy, looks really cool, and you always get people screaming whenever we perform this.
26. Chris Cross Prediction: This is the crisscross prediction trick. This is the first trick I always teach my new students. As you can learn it in literally five minutes. And it's a really powerful prediction which the spectators will never be able to work out. This is what it looks like. You can shed specs hate is that all the cards are shuffled and they're all different. E then turn the PPACA and you ask spectator to cut the code's in half wherever they like. So let's say they cut them just like this. You say to them, Okay, well, we're going to mark the position where you cut. And now you ask them a few questions. So you say d think that college was shuffled? I'll say yes. Do you think I forced you to cut the calleds in this position and soul or anything like that? They'll say no. So they had a completely free choice. They could have cut anywhere. They like all the cars were mixed up. And this is where they cut. If they had cut a few cards different, they would've cut to the two of hearts, will maybe seven spades. They could have cut to any of these cause they liked. But in actual fact, they cut to this on site. They have a look at this card that they cut to. A can place it back. You can put that in the middle of the deck. You can shuffle them. Do whatever you like. And you can say Now before we started, I put blue card down that let's all have a look at the blue card. And as you turn over, you can see that they actually match. Now, how we do this is we first make a prediction. So it can be in the form of another playing card for maybe different kinda back. You could write a little prediction down. So I could write king of spades on piece of paper and then give it to them, but all scrunched up so they can't read it yet. You could take patria of playing God on your phone and then show them your phone after they have picked the card. You know, it's up to you which way you want to predict it. I liked doing a call to personally. So I have this card face down, maybe my pocket before the TRC styles. Next, I need to find the code that matches that in this deck. So I'm gonna go through and find the king of spades. Here it is. And ongoing to place the king of spades on the top of the pack. Now, as I told you earlier, we are going to use the overhand shuffle to make it look like we make some cards when they were actually keeping the king on top. So you're going to go into overhand shuffle. You're gonna peel off the top card, the Qing, and even shuffle all the rest on top. You'll then going to shuffle the king. Brought back to the tough, like I told you in the basic section. So you still have alkene on top. We're going to show the spectator that all the cards are in a different order and that all mixed up. You'll then your into place the deck down on the table and ask them to simply cut the college and health. If they cut what's obviously not quite half this amount of cards, you want to ask them to do it again because this is not going to walk. You need the packets to be as close to equal as possible. So they cut the cards off. Now, hair's all came. What we're gonna do is instead of letting them pick up this called, which is the actual middle. So that's the actual middle of the deck. This the top. What we're gonna do is take the middle packet. And then we're going to place it at my angle on the top of the top packet. So I'll King is now this Godhead. Now, what is psi deceptive about This is after you lost the spectators are few questions. They will actually forget which one was the top and which one was the middle. And this is what we used to our advantage. We say to them. Is it fair to say that you cut the deck wherever you want to tell, say yes. You say, well, the calls completely mixed up and shuffled before we started. The I'll agree with you. And the third question, you're going to pick up the top packet like this. And you're going to spread them out in your hands. And you're going to say, and do you agree that if you'd have cut the cards, 11, apple, one below, you could have cut to maybe one of these cards, and you could have had one of these. I'll agree with you. By this time, they've completely forgotten which vacuoles, which with these cards spread out, you simply say, but you actually cut to this one, didn't you? By making them agree with you, you get them to reinforced, though, in their own mind, this was a completely free choice. They will then have a look at that code, which we already know is the king. The awesome place to count back and remember it. You can then place these on top. And now you can do a bit of acting. You can say, is that any way? Anyway until the INI, which called depict, they'll say nine. It says that any way I could have even predicted before we started which card you are going to pick. I'll say no and you say, Well, it's very strange because the COD I've put down here happens to be the exact card that you cut to. That is the crisscrossed prediction and trick. You can obviously predict any card you like. You can create any prediction that you liked as well. I know it sounds quite bold doing in this method where you just simply replaced the packets. I promise you this guys, I've everyone's had no-one ever suspects that thing. And if you do your questions, like I said, in the middle, that will ensure that it always goes really smoothly. It's come time misdirection. And I'll talk about time misdirection later in the course. This is a perfect example of how to use it to your advantage.
27. The Sandwich : The second trick we're going to learn is the Jaiku sandwich. I've chosen to include this trick as it was the first check, the I-equivalent When I first started many years ago, i'm gonna show you performance and then we'll get into the explanation. Say, first, I'm going to ask my spectator just to reach in and take a card. They have a look at that and remember it. I'm now going to ask them to place it on top of the deck. And I'm going to cut that code right into the middle. So it's completely and oscillate lost. Now, I'm going to find two helpers to help me with this trick. So I'm gonna go through and find two cars that can help me. I think I'm going to use the two red queens. So you've got the Queen of hearts and the queen a dominance. The Queen of Diamonds is gonna face up on top. And the queen of hearts is gonna get a face up on the bottom. So you can see how that out of all of these cards, one code is the selected card. Hopefully these queens will be able to heavily by finding one card, which is the chosen color. The ace of spades. Site, it's a pretty fun trick today. As you can see from that last may've we use something like earlier to do this. We use the key cowed method. So I used thoughts as my key card. And that's how I located the selected card. I'm going to walk through it slowly. And so you really understand the mechanics of how everything works. So it firstly, the spectator picks a cult. And this example is the six of clubs of a slide. We can see this journey performance. This is just fully explanation. So the spectators chosen this x clubs. I need to have a little look at the bottom card of the deck. So in this case it's the ace files. I'm going to remember that called. Next. I asked the spectator place that count backwards off the deck. And you can ask them to cut the pack into just like this. And notice that when we place this packet back on top, we're actually placing the Ace right next to the selected card. So we drop that on there. And as you can see, it's completely lost in the middle. I'm going to then find that card. But I'm going to say I'm actually finding the two helpers as an excuse. I'm ready to spread the cards from left to right one at a time. And all I'm looking for is the ace of hearts. So once I find the AC thoughts, just to, I know that that code is the next code on the right. All the code that's closest to me. So I know that that chord is the six of clubs. When I get to this code, I'm going to place my left thumb on the six. I'm gonna lift the packet with the six up. I'm place it places to me. Just like that. It's very important. The spectator doesn't see that cod. But it's okay if they see making the cars, they wouldn't think anything of it. Once you have that called on the face, you can say it, you're going to go through and actually find your to help us. So in the example, I think I used it to Queens. So let's go through and we'll fund to cause that look similar. So to read tends to black tends to read sixes to write Queens to black six is yet the ITA tend to pack down, being very careful that they don't see the six. You have the cards in your mechanics grip and you're going to place the first of the two helpers face up on the top of the deck. So you can say this is what it looks like. You're then going to switch to a bit of grip and you're going to put the other ten on the Boston, just poking out about half of an inch. Again today in exposure V for you now so you can see what's going on underneath. You switch grips again, having your left hand palm up and gripping on the bottom, just like this. And now you'll index finger is gonna go on any section of that cod where you'll middle finger is going to go anywhere on the upper called the ten of us, on the back of the ten. And your thumb is going to grip the front of the other ten. This is what the grip should look like. Gripping Hey, I'm gripping hay. And I'm obviously when you do this, you'll just be holding it like this and they won't be able to see what's going on underneath. Always make sure you keep the deck parallel to the ground. Now this is the exciting bit. All you're gonna do is you're going to move your hand from right to left to right together pretty quickly. So it's gonna be a lot less as you do. So you're going to let the deck foal out of the two cards and catch it in this hand. So I'm gonna do it in slow motion, fully fast. It comes from the right over to the left, and then right again. And you will be able to catch the code as your finger is still touching it. This is a Nike thing. To learn a first, you need to experiment with how tightly you holding the cards and how quickly and we know which direction you move your arm. So you might want to start doing it fairly quickly, but not gripping that lightly. So you want to create a little bit lighter. And then when you do it, you'll see that the cod actually sticks to your finger. It's all about pressure and the speed at which you're moving your arm. It's I just practice really going over it. Trying to work out the perfect amount of pressure on the perfect way to throw it costs. This can take a little while to lambda, it's definitely worth it. I think it looks really cool. So this is your grip. This is how it looks. And you're simply going to move across the neuron, hand moves back. Catching that code. You can then say what was your cloud plays. They'll say six of clubs, time. Showing the six. And that is your trick, complete.
28. Do As I Do : This trick is cooled, do as I do, and it's one of my favorites as it gets the spectator involved as well. This is the performance and then I'll do the explanation afterwards. So could you pick deck plays red or blue? And I'd like you to shuffle those cards. And when you have pages placed the deck back on the table. And now going to swap the x and I'm going to spread these out. Now. It's going to pick a code. So I'm going to move my finger over the pack whenever you like, you tell me stop. So I'm going to remember this as my one ie reach in and take any ecology like remember that. Like to place your caught on the top of the pack for me. And I'm going to do the same. We're now going to cut our codes into the middle of the deck, completely leaving them in the middle. We got a swap packs again. And I'd like you to take the pack, look through it and find the called the aegis picked. Once you've done that place called face down on the table. And I'm gonna do the same. Now. We shuffled the cards before we started. You told me which card to pick. You picked a card all of your free well, and what's really weird is the cost that we picked match. That is do as I do. It's one of my favorite tricks to perform. Let's get on to the explanation. So for this trick you need two packs of cards. It can be any color, any shape, size, just two packs of cards. And you're going to start by asking the spectator to pick a deck. It doesn't matter which one we pick. Let's say they picked blue. You're going to ask them to shuffle the deck until they're happy and you're gonna do decide. You're going to actually shuffled the cards until they stop. And just before you put your cards down, you're going to have it, it'll peak at the bottom COD. It's the cane clumps in this example. And you will put your deck on the table. They're gonna do the sign. You then instruct them to swap packets with the. So you're going to swap dx just like this. And you're going to spread the costs out as best you can for yourself. And for them. Now, you know the Boston card of that deck is the cane clubs. And so you say to them, Tell me when to stop as you move your finger over the deck. Whenever they say stop it, it doesn't really matter. Let's say it's this one. You are going to look at the card, but do not remember it. This card has no significance at all to the TRC. Do not remember this color. You're going to pretend you're remembering. So you look at it and say, okay, this is my one. And I'm gonna put that code on the side. You ask them to reach into the middle of that packet and take out any cafe like in this example is the six faults. Obviously I wouldn't say it in the TRC. Six faults. You then tell them together that clouds up. Just like this. And you do the same. Both of you now put your cards on the tough the deck. Remember, don't remember your cloud. It's not important. I only remember the king of clubs, boson crowded that deck. They put that code on top. And using the key KAB method. As I told earlier. As they cut the deck that placing the king on TOEFL dicot. You'll then gonna say stem. Okay, we're going to switch to X again. Now. They take the blue and you take the red. Now you say to them, I'd like you to look through this tech guy, find the collar the aegis picked, and put it face down on the table. So I can't say it. They are going to go through the deck and they're going to find they Six of hearts. Here it is. And I'm going to put it face down. All your gonna do is go through the deck. Following the king of clubs, as you remembered earlier. And as soon as you get to the king of clubs, a cloud on the right, old called closest to you is going to be that cloud. As you can see, the six spots going to put that down and say This is my cod. And simply for their reveal, you say what a coincidence. It would be both cards matched. And that is do as I say, it's a little bit complicated in the method. So I recommend that you re-watch the video a few times to understand the steps and practice this trick as it's a really good one which involves a spectator which they always really enjoy.
29. Designed For Laughter : This check is co-designed for laughter. It's nice, simple trick which uses one of the moves you learned earlier in the course. This is the performance. Spectator reaches in and takes a code. That's the column that I going to take and say, OK, it's going to go right in the middle. And I'm going to mix the cards up, leaving give them a shuffle. Now. Spectator, Can you please cut the pack into three piles? Accounts like this and like this side. Now, if you'd have cut to your card on the buzzer in any of the Pax, would you be impressed? They'll say yes. So I say, OK, keep a pike faced. I doubt tell me if I'm right or wrong until I've gone through all of the cards. Is that your card? I don't think so. I don't think that's your Chordata. Last one. I don't think that's your code either. Trademark gone wrong Actually. Could you could you name a number between 124, me 18. Okay. Hopefully from the Boston. If I deal down 18 cards, it should be your cart. 123456789101112131415161718. Now, if this 18th colors your card, would you be impressed? Yes. All right. And now you can see if we turn all of these over, your card has vanished. Say that is designed for laughter. It's a nice quick trick which sort of makes it look like you've got it wrong. And then when I color is actually at the 18th position at the end, everyone always laughs and is really amazed. So this is how we did the trick. Someone reached in and takes out the three hops. We need to control this to the bottom of the deck. So what I did in the example was I'd put it, kept a break and then I did a double undercut. And then I did an overhand shuffle to get their cowed. Writes The Boston. Now you place the deck down and you also the spectator to cut two packets of the top. One to unite, i call it is on the bottom of this packet. So you're gonna start from the right. And you're going to hold cards in your Glide position. You're going to say to them. Now I think it's on the bottom of one of these, but I don't know which one. Doubt. Tell me anything until I ask you. You're gonna say, I don't think it's this sudden turn, I've seven and place it down. You then place this packet on top of the next one. You pick up this packet in exactly the same way. You say. I don't think it's the Jackie either. And he turn either, put the jack down, you place this remaining packet on top. And now when you turn this over, this is actually going to be that cod. However, you're going to pretend that you don't think it is. You're going to get ready for the glide. You're gonna say three of hearts. Not, I think not sit either as you turn your hand either. You're going to pull it back. Expunged v Here, ready for the glide and you're going to take out the next caught, the one that's not less. So you say three if halts. I'd I think not see you and say you're actually posing a different one down. A three is now on the bottom. You will see that. And they think you've now got the trick wrong. So they might be giggling or something, but don't pay any attention to it. Pretend that you'll completely oblivious. You say, oh, I think I might have got the wrong. Could you name a number between 120, let's say their name ten. You say, now, would you be impressed if your colleges tenth position from the bottom? And they might say yes or they're going to try and be nice to you. They might be honest and say no because they know that counts down that. So you carry on anyway, you are going to perform a glide for having many codes they name, say you perform glide like this and you're gonna be a one, 23456789. And then you pull out that code for 1010. And you say now this tenth card, hopefully this is yours. Would you be impressed? And they'll say, Yes, we'll also know, Ysaye, LET watch three thoughts. And this will be a huge reaction as they really believed iit got it wrong and that code is down here. There'll be reaching this card straight away to see that it has in fact changed. And that is designed for laughter.
30. Double Lift Reveal : This is the double lift reveal trick. It's a very simple and very short, but I found that gets some of the best your actions out of old tricks I take. Here's the performance. Someone reaches in and selects any cut. The stone will, using this example. I then place this card in the middle like that. He has in the middle. In the middle, again, completely lost in the middle. I would then ask them to ounce. We honestly yes or no. Is this top one eels? They would say no, that's probably wrong. Turn this I ever say how would you handout, please put their hands where you watch to shake the card for me. Name, you'll count out loud. They would say the name and ta-da, it's changed. That's the first version. The second version of this trick. Looks like this. Have any card you like, they reach in and take on. It goes in the middle. As you can say, just give these a shuffle. I then say let watch. In the middle of the books. I take out this card. I can actually show you that is your cloud. So those are the two variations on the trick. I really loved them because they really show snappy and really to the point where the fantastic reaction at the end. So how we do it is very simple. Someone reaches in and select the three of spades.edu, a coloured control to get this out to the top. So you could do something like a double undercut, for example, which I told you earlier. So 12 cards now on top, you're going to get a break. If you're double lift, you're gonna do your double lift. Ask them if that was it. That of course say no three Spades. You're gonna turn this back over. But before you do so, I asked them to hold the handout flat. You turn this double over, put the card in their hand. And then Hindu magical move. If you want to. You say what was your card for the first time? Through spades. You say have a look in your hand. They'll turn over and it's changed. This is really powerful because it happens in their hand. And that's always the most powerful touch of magic you can perform. The next variation on this trick is pretty similar. You start with any random code and you put it in the cowpox and close it OK. So they can't say for the books just on the side. You don't need to mention it until you get them to select a card that says clubs. Again, same thing. You put in the middle and you control it to the top using one of the methods of earlier. Say, if I could get as columns that box, would you be impressed? They'll say yes, obviously. As you're saying this, you're going to get an a break on the one card slot that, that the black. You can then shake the box. And there'll be outta here. There's one card inside. You're going to place the box in this orientation. And you're going to place the books on tough the deck and put your thumb on top, pinning books down. Well then you're not open the flap. Being careful not to show the face discard. Pull the card out, drop the box, and you're gonna place this card on top of your break, square it all up, and then do your double lift to show their card has actually traveled into the middle of the box. All you need to do now is to get another break by ruffling up. You can then time is called either. And if you wanted to add an extra bits on the end of the trick, you could say, okay, let watch your card is gonna go in the middle of the deck. I'm cuz that was a double lift. You can then snap your fingers. And I call it jumped straight to the top. And that is the double lift reveal trick. It's nice and quick and simple and relatively easy. So make sure you practice your double lift and you'll controls. And you'll be performing this one in nighttime.
31. Any Card at Any Number: This is any card at any number. It's one of the most famous plots. And then we've caught logic. And for good reason, it's a fantastic trick which always amazes spectators whenever I perform it. Here's a quick performance. Spectator will name any card they lock. So let's say it's the cave sites. So I would say to them, well, why, why did you name the king of spades out of blue cards? And they might say, oh, well I just, if I just let the cold night particular reason and I'll say, okay, this is what we're going to do. I would like you to name any number only between 152. But don't make it too high. You don't have to count. All comes out. So the spectator would name 15. For example. I would say I K 5123456789101112131415. Now you could have named the 16th cowed, or you could have named the 14th God, and it would have been either of these two. But you actually named the 15th. Now for the first time, say out loud what you'll count was king of spades. And they can look at the 15th cod and it will be the king of spades. This trick is accomplished by very simple technique that I'm very fond of. It simply a way to get account from the middle to the top without them knowing what you've done. This is what we're going to start with. So someone names account, let's say it's the isis bites. A full day name it, this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to have the deck half spread out. A full by name that called. This means I've got half a DEC had stopped before they save, they name all the ones that I can see hey, unfinished on straight to the point of going to the toe. However, if they name a card and then I have to start very, very right from the beginning. It's gonna take me a lot longer than if I'd have started in this position. So you're gonna start hay and then you say to them name account. If they named them that you can see here. This is what ED, let's say the name Queen files. You're gonna spread to the Queen of hearts. And you're going to use these fingers to contact the back of the Queen of hearts. So he pushed the claim until your fingers are on the back of it. You're then going to take this whole packet on the right and simply move it under the left-hand packet. And then ten, the deck IVR. And you will have the queen pallets on top. So you start in this position. Let us say the name Jeff clubs. You go through and you just ask him a question and say, why did you name the jack of clubs, for example, you get your fingers on the back of the jack. And as you're gesturing while you're talking and asking them the question, you simply places from back here. And now you're ready to go. Ask them any question about why they pick the code, or is it that favorite or anything to distract them for a few seconds. Once you call it on top, you can put the deck down or just keep the deck in your hand and say, please name a number between 152. But don't make it really low down, make it really high. You won't learn today's something between 1030. Let's pretend the name 16. This is very important now you say to them, and you don't want 17, and they'll say no. Let me say and you don't want 15. They'll say no. Whatever number they name. I asked him if they want the number above or below it. This will be useful in a minute when we get to counting the cards out. So you don't want 17? Nope. You don't want 15? No. You won't. 16? Yes. Okay. You're going to count the cards out into your right-hand, one on top of the other. So 12345678910111213141516. Now that code is actually on the bottom of this packet. You're going to kill your fingers just like this. And you're going to push out like that. As soon as you've counted, you're gonna kill your fingers and push out. Curl your fingers and push out. You'll then flip this left-hand top card over, saying, you could have had 60, sorry, e could have had 17. So you push it over halfway. Your thumb leaves out, and then you flip the card RAM MATLAB. You then take that out, which is protruding hair. And halfway up the queen. You place it and put your thumb on top, pinning it in place. You then take the right-hand packet, tenet palm down, and pin the eight on top of that cow to do left-hand cell. And you say you could have had 15 as well. You can now put these cards on the table and they can count them out again if they like, you know, 123456789101112, that in 14-15. And this is the 16th code they named, which is the jack of clubs. You can let them take that card out and see that clubs. So a quick recap of the trick. If you didn't understand any of that, please go back and watch it and really pay attention to each step. They name any card, let's say king of hearts. So I have this outlet, this before they, they let King apart sits right, that I take this king to the top. You don't mention this, so you just keep token. Name number plays 15116 and that you don't want 14. None. I want 1558123456789101112131415. My fingers curl up the bustle and I push out. You could have had six and if you wanted, you could've had the six of Darwin's. You could've picked 14 if you wanted, and it would have been the seven of diamonds, but you picked 15. What Carl did you know at the start, king of hearts. And here we are. The king of hearts, number 15. And that is any card at any number.
32. Dr Dayley's Last Trick: This is Dr. Dali's last check. It's a trick that only uses four different cards, the four aces, and only has to move so that here is the performance. So I have four ice is too slow up. We take first read ice and place it down. Then you'll take the second read ice, the stuns its next to the fast one. Now watch the two black basis. See, it actually swapped. And now we have two black Aces. I ahead. So it's very quick. Simple trick. We need to do is get full cards, preferably the aces. They really can be anything. And E to set them up in this older red, black, red black, or black, red, black, red. So it just needs to be alternating. Doesn't matter which way around. Anything, just make sure they're not clumped together. Let this happen in this older. You show them to the spectators. You say, I've only got four cards. You can turn them over and sharing the faces. As you turn them back around the two cards in your left hand again and get squeezed together. Almost as if you're doing a double lift. And you're going to a pinky break with your little finger. And we're gonna take these two top ones and you're gonna slide them on top. Guessing your break of two cults. You'll then gonna perform a double left thumb, middle finger. And you push around a new displayed fast ice. Make sure you keep this finger on the front so that you can't see any gaps. You says then this is the first red Ice-T ace of diamonds. You then turn a Saddam's over and place it down on the table or in that flat hand. Then going to grab all three cards in your double lift grip. So thumb and middle finger on both co-owners little band and then you let go. Go going to peel off the top card using your thumb and first finger. And then you're going to keep it in your mechanics grip. You'll then I'm gonna do a double lift with the remaining two cards to show the ace of hearts, which is the other Red Cloud. E, then ten ace of hops back. I ever placed the top one next to the other one on the table or in their hand. And now in your hand you actually have to write a thesis. So you can be a bit theatrical hair and wave them around. And suddenly you can see it changed the red aces and the black aces. And now on the table that is doped, Dali's last trick. Doesn't take long to learn. If you need to go back over the moves to make sure you understand it well. And yeah, that's that's it for doctors, they're useless trick is one of my favorites because it's so quick and snappy. Enjoy.
33. Chicago Surprise: In this lesson, I'm going to teach you one of my favorite tricks, which has a really nice ending, as well as a revelation in the middle. So this is what it looks like. Someone reached in and picks out there. Let's say it's this one that caught bend gets replaced into the middle of the deck. And with a wave my hand, you can see that one code actually turns Blair. Now, what are the chances? What are the chances that the one blue cod actually happens to be the call to the selected. Now we're going to take place it down that we're gonna do it again. This is your chance to try and catch me out. Now tell me Stop. Okay. Remember the cloud? The cloud is going to go in the middle again. And the wave my hand. You can see, well there aren't any blue cards. And key see any bleak halt, any blue calls anyway? This one. This was your first card, wasn't it? What was your second? Tended to have a look and you can see it has changed. Okay, so what you need for this trick is called with a different color back to the pack that you're gonna be using. So I'm going to be using a blue caught with my red deck. And what you need to do is find the other code which matches with your different back. So in my case, I bought the ten add-ons. First, you'll go into place. You'll read back ten of diamonds on the bottom of the deck. And you'll then get a place, the blue backs tendons next to that. So the blue College will be on the bottom. You start by having a spectator select any code they like, but be careful, don't spread to fog. He don't want them to see this called. So you're gonna spread through, let them select any count they look. So let's say it's actually a spit similar. Let's ease that. Jack faults. You'll going to place the top off of the deck on the table. And you're going to all stem to place that call back in the middle and either bury that colored in the middle. It wouldn't wave your hand or your fingers will say be like, and you're doing it in your hands. You can spread through like this people using a table. It's a really nice big ribbon spread to show you that that is a blue card. You're going to put your thumb on the blue cowed. Lift up all the Collatz beloved. Place this packet on top and then gather up all the costs. You'll then going to perform a double lift. So how I did it in performance is I took a blue caught off. I go a break with my left hand. And I came back, place the blue count that and then perform a double lift showing that the blue cod is actually copy picked. That going to be amazed at this point. Say you say, look, I won't eat God, this called this blue card. And what you're going to do is turn the cauda Iowa. I am going to put the code on the left foot. Now. We put it on the third, say that they can't turn it over. If it was in their hand, they might look at it and then they realize that it's changed. But under that foot, they would actually have to reach down, take the foot off it, and then turn around. No one app does that. So this guy's on the foot and you're now going to force the bottom card using the Hindi force. Say, you run off cards and you say, tell me Stop. They can stop wherever they like. You are going to show them the ten diamonds. It, we're going to show that it has a red back. And you've gotta put a middle. Pretending that you're gonna make it change blue again. Wave your hand or your fingers. And when he spread out, now you could act disappointed because it hasn't turned blade. You can let them go through and say, well, can you see any Billy cots? And they'll say No of just you'll then get a repeat question. Say, can you see any blue cards anywhere? And normally people get the hint that you're referring to the bottom of the foot. And you say, well, if that was your first card, wasn't it? What was your second coat? And they'll save ten of diamonds. And at this point you can just say have a look and they will reach down, have a look and see that the cloud is actually changed again from underneath effort. And that is the trick. So hope you enjoy it. And yet today.
34. The Biddle Trick : This next trick I'm gonna teach you is cooled the middle trick, and it's one of the bus contracts Island, and it always gets really good reactions. I'm gonna show you the performance first and then I'll teach it. Set. Spectator reaches then takes any caught. They lucky that you remember this code. A cod thing goes on the top of the deck. And I'm gonna get, cause good shuffle. Moves are going to get the codes. Some cuts. Now, which packet direction you're causing the swamp. You'll gonna keep God over this code. This packet. If you'll call is on top of this packet, for example, would not very impressive. Yes. Okay. Well, I'm not like it. It's not on the top, but I think but maybe in a telephone calls would be impressive to do. Great. Okay, cool. I don't want you to tell me which one you call it. I just want you to remember if you see your code in the top five, okay, say 12345. So look, feel calm, but don't say anything. 12345 now wasn't in these five? Yes. Okay. Cool. So I've got 12345 cards here, I think. Was your code the eight hugs. Yes, Brilliant. Okay. Watch the eight. Do you see what happened? Now in my hand, I have 123 full calls. Now, if we take the deck, spread it face up, you can actually see one called facing the wrong way. Ite faults. You'll Khot Guy is the performance at the trick. So as you can tell it to really nice ending where the cauda teleport over to the pilot calls from your hands. To start with, you'll gonna get spectators to reach in, select anyhow they like. So let's say I go to clubs. Cod gets placed at the top of the deck. And you're going to perform an overhand shuffle. You're gonna perform it by shuffling to calleds on top of that cod fest. So you're gonna go one t. Now you're gonna do the joke move. So you're going to shuffle the next caught about an inch in jokes down from the rest of the cards. You're gonna then shuffle all the other cards as randomly as she lost. As you can see, you've still got that break where you did binge. Ok. So what we're gonna do is you're going to deal thumb, push up. You'll gonna grab all the cards underneath that and place those on top. So essentially what you've done is shuffled to random cards on top of that called the two of clubs site in real time, this is what it looks like. That called guests replaced to the top of the deck. You shuffle E1 to EN joke fully other calls to the spec eyes, this looks random. And then with the joke at the back, e, push up, grab all the chords underneath it, and then dropped. Oh, now you split that into two piles. Remember which is the top Paul, this is important, say T1, T2. And then you just say it's the spectator. Which packet I can call this in. Whatever they say, it doesn't make a difference. Let's say this one. What we're gonna do is given the pack and just say, okay, hold this for a second. And I said this one. You say, OK, let's watch this and then carry out, will you need to do is pick up the top packet and say, now if I can get it to the top card, and I'll be really impressive as I shuffle the cards and everything. And I agree with you. At this point, he'd say, well, I'm not that good, I haven't practiced enough. So it's not on top. However, if I could get it maybe top five without still be impressive. I figure I'll say yes. And you need to tell them at this point, please keep Pike suffice. Don't tell me which called. You'll remember it. It's in the top five. But don't actually say anything out loud. After this you hope cause in your grip slats and your right hand. And you're gonna peel off one by one the top five cards using your left hand. And so you're gonna go 12345. It will then get a flip. These chords, place them back on top. You'll now going to perform a add-on cult. You're going to go through them slowly and keeping the pack really flat so they can't say any edges or any Colonists are gonna keep it flat to the ground. And you're gonna do 12. Now we notice that called two clubs. So you're going to get a little pinky break. So when you peel the two of you break, now, as you pull this seven spades off, you'll actually get to replace the two underneath this packet as you pull it off and complete the count. You're gonna do this by sliding mu2 underneath the packets. So we've got a bright k, you get a, you go to three and you're going to slow if this packet along the two. And as you can see, my thumb is actually going to contact at here. When the packets of flush, your thumb goes in the gap, pulls off the next one as a counter full and impose on seven as accounts five. This right-hand packet then goes straight on top of the packet, which means that God will actually be face up in the middle. I'm gonna go if that once more. So the two of clubs is at number three. You're gonna go 12. They show yet pinky break theory. And you're gonna slide the packet along you till the edges line up. Thumb guys in that picking up the 245 and the right-hand packet goes on top the other cards. Now, they believe there are five colors here. They are wrong. Or any full, you're going to count them like this. You're gonna get one. Add this onto the bottom. 2345. When you use quickly, looks like now I'll actually five cuts. So if 12345 and you're gonna take top card and you need to remember that code from earlier. So you will take, took out, look at it and say was it the tail clubs? And they're going to be amazed because they think, well, how could he know unless he's looking at it? They didn't use guessed. You're then going to take it and place it at an angle over the left-hand packet like this. And when this hand comes over to cover it, you're just going to make your thumb up. Very slightly said, cout falls. So that's all your thumb is dead. As Johann comes over the front, it looks like your looks like you're taking the code when actually you're just dropping it from the back. Looks like ice. You're going to pretend to scrunched up whatever, throw it into the deck, and then count 123. Full. Everyone's gonna react to this moment. Next, you tell the specs Asia tend to pack God's face up and spread through them and try and find you'll call it. They'll spread through and they will come across one, call it facing the wrong direction. And of course it will be called the chapped lips. And that's it. So I know the add-on move, spit Inaki, and a bit tricky, but I would recommend practicing it really slowly until you can do it. And rhythm and biorhythms. E101. Oh, okay. Rhythm, I mean, doing each move the same speed. So you do 12345 and I've added the code on that. So practice until you can do it in a rhythm. So it looks really natural. Say where it suspects to anything is going on. I hope you enjoy the trick and I'll see you in the next video.
35. Here Then There : This is head than that. My favorite trick. I'm going to show you a performance of head in there fast. And then I'm going to teach you two different variations which I found Get the best reactions. Here's the performance. Someone reaches in and takes any code they like. It really can be any cloud. It's completely free choice. And they can sign it with the pen if they want to. It doesn't make any difference. When you take the king. However, now we're going to look at the next top called on the PAG is six defaults. If you watch the six spots closely, you can see that it actually changes into the king of spades. And down here I'm table is analysis files. This is the second performance of hidden that someone selects any hard they like. We take the jack tonight. And now we're going to look at the next top card, which happens to be the six of hearts, would take the six. And just the way that I've the top say actually changes, brought into the jack analysis is on the table. Those are the two performances of Hayden back. I'm gonna teach you the second version first, and then we'll get on to the second version. After that. Say, secret to this trick is T6. So you need to find a path cuts that matches another pack of cards. You have said they have the same kind of back. I need to find T cause the identical. I'm going to use to six volts for this example. You start with these cards on the top of the pack. Next, what you do is you ask the spectator to reach in and take out. As they reach in. You won't say stem. Don't look at your code yet and you try and guess what it is. Today, take that code. And while holding their code, you're gonna say right, if you evacuate guests, your code, would you be impressed? As you're saying this, what you're gonna do is you're gonna push off the top cod fest six files. And they're going to lower your own next your leg. If you're standing up and you're just going to imagine your leg is the table. And they're just going to flip it around. So it's now face up. And you need to get break under this cloud as well. So you have and push it around and keep a pinky break underneath as well. And this is a bit of a bold move today. But you really need to just be confident with and when you ask the question, just let your hand full by aside during the marriage without looking at it. And then you ready. Once you've done this move is really important that this vector h is don't see this college. Such Do you Davis made effectively, you're gonna keep your wrist facing you. Palm facing a, so you can see the six, but from the front they can't see anything. This is the V0 should have from the back. You say to them, Okay, well, I know it would be good if I could guess your college, but unfortunately I count. Can you shine replace? They'll show everyone the cod. You say queen of clubs has great caught. I'm going to try and do some limit this. You hold out your hand and you take the queen back. Still conceding the six. And you're going to place the queen right on top of the six. Line is up, keep your pinky break, which is now two cards. You're going to then bring your hand down so they can see it and say, okay, this is your CoiledCoin defaults. I'd like you to place both hands out, flap lie, this fool me. Don't do anything until both the hands flat. You're gonna deal with WEF to turn over queen. And it will replace the top card, which is now six in one of the hands. You then take the other hand and flip it on top. Say that sandwiching that count, tell them don't let anyone get that Dinah, anyone see that? Next we need to do is get a break for double lift. Say yet you'll 2k outbreak. You say, let's have a look at the next top called Six of halts. 610 it either. And you say watch the six. And you can do it, will move. Can say magic words, whatever you like. Just tack it on my hands. And then slowly you turn either to reveal the nafta Queen. And in the hands is the six. That is the first version of heads. In the second version is my personal favorite, stopped in exactly the same way. So they reach in and pick out the psi dot, looked at it yet, I'm gonna try and guess it. As you say that you'll go into spread of two counts, two sixes. And instead of flipping just one, either, you actually going to flip both of them. I feel confident with this. I've got away with just holding the cause like that and doing that wave. So I hold them like double lift a little bit the deck, I just tend the deck face down and then grab them. Once again in slow motion. And again you're gonna keep them can sailed with the six facing you. So no one out Hayek and say you Austin for that coud, you make sure everyone can see it too. Spades. You take the t back and you line it up with the six. Before Larry your hand shut everyone. You then take the two and you say hold your hands out flat, Foley. Thank you. Take it, flip it over the top caught in our hands and make sure they Sam J again. You then take the top card, tenant IVR and say, look, the top card is the six of hearts. You want to get a break under this next top card by pushing over and pulling back. And now you're going to perform one of two moves. Either the shape shifter change or snap change. Whichever one you're more confident with, that's the one you should do. I personally did a shape-shifter as I think it looks really much Cu and you would have the hands salmon slap this and you'd go under their hands. So they can still see the code. You say watch the six and I slay you start with you rotate it and then you just pulls. This is an amazing moment for them that I've just seen a college completely melt into another. And it's about to get even better. You take the two, drop it on the top and say look in your hand. The looks on their face when they turn this code, I'll see that it's actually swapped with the card in the hand is priceless. That's the second version of head than that with a shape-shifter or snap change. So let's recap. Today the trick you need to duplicate. They start on top of the deck. The simple version of heaven that you're only gonna flip one card. You save the spectator, reach in and take heart for me. They take one. Look at it yet, so they will not know what it is you say, if I can guess it, would you be impressed? As you say this, you can simply turn this one over by using the Live. Keep it right facing your chest so they can't say it. You're going to take the code back from them, say all ten of hearts, okay, hold both hands out like this for me, please. You take the ten e perform WFD and he put the top card in their hands. You salvage the hands on top and make sure they don't look at it. You then get ready for double lift. And you say look at the next top card. We have the six files. Watch the six. Top cod off again. Do move and show that it's actually changed with the card in the hat. That's the first version. Second version. You ask them to reach in and take one. I take it you say don't look at it yet on your try and guess. Has your talking to them you say right. Is it red or black as you're saying this, he just casually how the pack and just flip it around. This in a moment of laughter or the when no one's looking, choose your moment wisely. You've got your 26 is on top with a pinky break and they're facing you so no one can see them. Ask for that, call back. You look at it through the clubs. You come back, lines up perfectly square up, and then show them you say three of clubs. That's your code. Hold your hands out like this forming. You then ten in either, place it in the first of the hands and sandwich it. You then take top card off as you get a break under the next TAT card. You say six faults. The next TO crowd. We're going to use this. Watch the six. And now you perform either your shape shifter or your snap change. It is right under their hand. So you can say six faults watch. And it changes into the three. Then you can let them look in their hands. And it will be the six files. And that is head.
36. Two card Monte : The trick I'm going to teach in this video is one of the first checks I ever saw performed. There was performed by David Blaine on his first TV special. But in 2 thousand, It's a really, really, really fooling trick as everything happens one step ahead. So by the time they realize what's happened, you're ready miles, miles ahead. And as never Charleston working it out. So this is what it looks like in performance. So we're gonna play again. It is basically chase the ace of hearts. Okay? So you need to always keep an eye on it where the x pulses. So we're just going to imagine that this is spectators had. So ice falls, what call the holding base false. Ok. You can check. Yep. Ice calls. That's the X files. This is the ace of diamonds. Now, I can take the ace of diamonds and I'm going to swap it with the X-Files. Okay. So I've got the X Files and e-books LIGO? Yes, times now. And the slope at once move so quickly, you know, even say it. Now. Which do you think is on top? The Haas School, the diamonds, hearts, diamonds. Well, if you have a look, you'll actually see that it is the king and queen of clubs. And the ice is, know it to be safe. So that's the trick. Really cool. Really get transposition. And now I'm going to teach it. So you need a few moves for this, which I've been told yet. So this might take a little while. First one, you're going to do a trick lift. Easy, triplet S1. What is not so easy is actually controlling the person to not time cards over before you're ready. What I like to do is I say, hold your hands out astronomy. You don't want the hand, palm down like this. This is very easy to turn the god ICBA, right? Very easy. If the holding like this, I come up, turn it this way. That way is a bit painful. Don't see that way. They can't see it themselves. So I have to twist their shoulder. So this is a lot harder for them to turn off the car than it was just like this. Okay. So you hold the spectator is called unless you say copy main, outlaw this, you're going to start with the cause in this older ace, queen, king or queen, that doesn't make a difference. This goes on top of the deck and you get a break on the UFO council. So I have a full caught break here. You're gonna turn, I've put up one, say let ice halts. You need to follow these faults. Hold your hand out, at least for me. You give it to them in their fingers like this. And you say to them Don't tonight either. But what card directing eat gold. Actually, I'll say these faults. And you say, I have a look if you want to or if you trust me, you don't have to look. Now as they're looking or not looking, you're gonna deal triple lift. So you've got break on the three. Same as ever lift. You put your thumb, hair, middle finger, that flip I and you say you've got the halls. I built the duns, and I'm going to swap it. So you take the diamonds, kinda take over the top cod, which Slaird different one that King. And we're going to swap it in effect, it hands and fingers. Don't let them tell I've discovered, so you turn over this ice, we say, look, I've got the hearts, diamonds. You will then I'm gonna come back and do a top change, which is a new IV. It basically looks like this. I've changed the code in the action of just moving my hands Apollo, together. Okay. Looks pretty good. You come back with the ice and you're going to push out of the top crowd slides I've to tell. And your thumb then moves to the eighth. And your fingers on the Boston. Contact the queen. As your left hand, then moves away. Don't want your right hand to be doing a lot of movement. You don't want this. That doesn't look good. You won't buy cans to move. Minimal amount, but your left hand to be doing most block. See you hands come together, swap, and then left hand moves away. Face up. It would look like this. The ice comes back. And you can see it's green. It's at the top change. And you're gonna do this in a moment of laughter or obstruction. So you want to tell a joke, all se nella ANOVA is hungry. Practice much, but let's try it east to strap them as you talk. So you could say, I've got the hearts, but the diamonds, I've got no idea one day, let's try it anyway. Then you obviously do the top change. And you'll take this card. And you're gonna put on top. The card said that now holding T, S and you sell it watch, they're gonna switch. Which one's your icons on top. Now this point they might say halts, they might say diamonds. You record it. And then say what they said. But the upsets you, I reckon it's helped some top we didn't recognize diamonds on top. I'll say now the sailor flip your hand over. Hand is point. They'll flip their hand. Realize it's two different cards and probably scream. So that is two called Monte. I would recommend practicing the top change a lot in the mirror before you attempt to do this. The triple EFT is pretty easy. It's just a doublet for with three cards. But yet practiced this in a mirror and really work on the top change getting it summaries. So you can do it just as your hands come together naturally, and that will ensure that you never get cold. So this has been to garb on T, which was a trick. David Blaine did say, it's good enough for him. I think it's good enough for us.
37. Ambitious Card Routine: This is any card at any number.
38. The Best Tricks for Parties : In this video, I'm going to show you my two favorite tricks to perform polities or any social event or gathering. The first of these tricks is head in there with a little variation on the end. I'm going to explain it and then I'll get on to the second trick. Say for this new version of hair than there, you need not only one set of duplicates, but two. And as you'll notice, one of the six is signed my name. This is the setup. You're going to place the first Clean six on top. Next one with my name. And then the two falls on top. This is how it looks. So someone would reach in and take out, let's say six clips. We're going to do the same thing as we always do. And hey, than that often the question. And as we do so we're just going to flip the top one round without them say the Oscar six back. And you then show them, you say hold your hands up formula this 10-6 over, I'm placing a hand. You then do your double lift and say watch the full. But you can take it. And everyone watch now. And see that it's actually changed into the six have look in your hand as that's having decided. Oh, you're gonna do is lift up half the deck. And you're gonna put your thumb on the top card. And you're just gonna slide that top card, which is the full. The other fall into the middle. I'm going to drop the deck on top. So just look at this. You pick up, slide the top one's the middle, and then drop the rest of the deck. You just do this well that reactor, they would then turn over a full and everyone's laughing and say, how did you do that? How did you do that? While this is happening, you take the full back from them and you ask them to take a pen and hold it set can be sharpie or any other marker. Once they've reacted to the calleds being turn round and they can see that it's all swapped and everything. They're gonna be saying, how did he do that? Do it again, do it again. Well, you're going to do is just turn if the first card and get your brick. This is the one with the signature. We're going to ask them to sign their name across the six. So they would sign their name. You then say hold your hand out again, the six guys in their hands. And you can ask other people to squeeze the hands and squeeze the house. You loads of hands on top of each other, all squeezing down on the card. You're then gonna do a double lift to show the blank six. You say, okay, I'm gonna assign this six. And you sign it as identically as possible to the six that we did earlier. So you do the same orientation, same font that you sign it yourself. You say this is my colleague Eve, what your cloud? E then ten over this double. And give it a little. Wave under their hands and show slowly. That is changed into their signed card. And now in their hands, they have assigned Six of hearts. And that is the first trick I really like doing at parties. 1000 tool confusing. Go back and watch the hair than their explanation video, and then come back to this. And it should all make sense. This is the second trick for parties. It's cooled, jokers wild. I'm gonna do a quick performance and then I'll get straight into the explanation. The Joker is a very special card in the pack because it can turn into any code it wants to be. I'll show you what I mean. Two volunteers each pick account, please say you can have this one. And even at the solid, so two cards have been selected. The first one goes in the middle. And I'm going to shuffle these cards up even more. And the second one goes on top. I'm going to cut these, mixed them up so that completely lost in the middle. Now, I mentioned earlier that the Jager can turn into any card it likes. This is what I made. The thing that was your card and I think that was your cloud. But let what should I take the seven? I can just 107 IFA. Give it a little flick and say actually changes right back into the Jagger. And that's Jaiku swot. Say, you need to get your Joker pack for this one. And next what you do, you get two people to pick out. This was a great part is can you can have multiple people get involved. So two cards, I'll selected 67 of diamonds. You need to control them both to the top of the deck. What I suggest is, first you get the six, keep break in the middle. And then you do the double undercut as taught earlier to get the six. So the top. You then say, OK, let the seven is going to go and talk now. And you perform one of the false cuts, those taught earlier. And I cut down until both cards and now on top. Now you get a break. No one card, the top one. And you say, okay, let watch the joker. You take the Joker and you're going to perform the snap change first. They say watch the Joker, it changes into the first card. You will then get a, get a break under the top card. And you're gonna place the two cards on top, square it all up. So you've now got a break under three. And you're going to perform the shape shift to change, to change it into the six. You then come back maintaining your break. And you're just gonna peel up one cut and then let go of that card and keep the break only under two cards. Now, the jug and the six. You then say hold your hand out for me. You sell it, what should you take your six? Then you put that in your hand. You can say watch. You take that six. It actually transforms right back to the Joker. And that is Joe because wild.
39. My Top Performance Tips: The number one performance tip I can give you is to relax. What I mean by this is when you'll perform the trick, really tried to focus on entertaining them. Instead of getting caught out, the audience will fail how you feel. So be happy, upbeat. I always remember to be enthusiastic. The audience who's sense that you are worried and nervous? Do you want get cooled out? They might not react as well as they could have if you'd been chilled and relaxed. The best magic happens when they are caught off God. So do your best to make them feel at ease. And you aren't trying to fool them, but simply entertain them. You won't, they won't you'll side. So have a love, cracks and jokes. Austin questions about themselves have some bound to with them. I would also recommend that you speak up more often than not, when performing to a group of three or more, someone in that group will not be able to hear properly. Speak from your stomach and not for me. All right. Do your best to project your voice so that everyone in the group can Hey, another tip. Make sure your angles are covered when you're performing two group of three or more people. What I mean by this is make sure someone called sees something that I shouldn't be saying. Maybe a little angle from the side or anything similar. My final performance tip is to practice. I know that's not what you want, but it's the truth. By having confidence and you'll much gullibility. You'll naturally be more confident as a person and come across more possible in your magic. Well, I haven't confidence and you'll scale is that nothing will go wrong.o file, you will naturally come across more relaxed. And because of that, your audience will be too. These are some of the things I've learned throughout my years as a professional magician. So trust me on this one. 40. How To Use Misdirection : The best entertainment value feel much convex. It is vital to lead to control everything going on during your performance. Factors include where your audience is positioned, where and when they look at that, I think came out. In a nutshell. Misdirection is making sure that the audience stay sufficiently entertained by your act to stay focused on the magic. And don't get distracted enough to start trying to figure out how the trick is done. This is not usually a problem as more often than not, audience, a completely oblivious to the actual workings of a trick. Things as subtle as running your fingers through your head can be enough. Ask him drawing attention to a member of the audience with a cheeky comment to distract your guests without them realizing this. An example of some Mr. action that I use all the time. He's all sing this back sight of what color by Codd was. Just as I do a secret move. People often look up as a charge, remember, and this is the perfect time to execute the slide ultimate. However, the absolute best time to do a move is when painful allow often, they are completely caught off guard. I will not be expecting anything. This is the best bit of advice I can give you regarding this direction. Always make them love. Time misdirection is one of the best types, Mr. action. This is why you leave a little time to pause between the actual deception move and the photo revelation. A classic example, let time this direction is successful, is the crisscross retained a total earlier? One of the most simple and effective colored forces there is the crisscross is a masterclass in times direction. Try and think of ways to incorporate it into your performance to get you on the right six S.
41. How To Deal With Hecklers: I wanted to include this in the bonus module, as I've never seen it TO anyway. And I believe it's very important for new performers to have the right tools net belt for when they need them. When you perform your trick for someone or a group, you will occasionally come across someone who's tries to work out the tricks. All tries to maybe be a spouse. Now, they're not doing it because they don't like you as simply doing it because they don't understand the trick. This is how they react to that. Over my career, I've encountered hundreds of hecklers. Purely James, the amount of time that I've been performing foil, the best ways I've found to deal with Akhil is, is to make them into your friends. Let me explain. Let's imagine I'm performing for a group of four people and three the people really enjoying it. But as one who is so confused, he doesn't know how to act apart from trying to reveal the trick shot for if you don't know what to say when he pipes up, the conversation, might go something like this. Amazing trick happens and I find is called. He says, now you didn't. Yeah, you've walked actually. Now, this is not the type of interaction we want when we're performing our tricks. Instead, this is the way we should handle Haeckel's. He would say DG. Well, you must have a very K9 then. Well done. Would you like to pick a new color? I'll do special trick just for you. This is one of my favorite lines to use in such a situation. It doesn't sound defensive in any way. It makes him feel clever. And you offer him a special trick which he really likes. This line is what one does for me over the years. Memorize it and have it ready to go whenever you need it. Now of course, every Haeckel will not be the same. And you might say, you turned over to calleds there or you didn't actually put my code in the middle. However, the principle is the same. Make them feel clever and flatten them. The phrase, kill them with kindness comes to mind. I'll include some of my other favorite responses so you can be prepared for when it happens. In most cases, simply ignoring them will be enough. When they persist, however, ease any of the lines I describe and shut them down. But in a nice way. Say them with a smile or smug and never, ever be confrontational about it makes you look bad and it shows that the heckle effected you. Nevertheless, anyone ever throw you during your performance? So they might say, yeah, yeah, something like that. Would you like to pick out going into that fund? They might say you obviously have a good argument, friend, would you might help me out with the next trick. He might say, he's got this guy's good. He might be magician tape. He wants to pick a card. Next. Is the best way I've found to deal with hackles.
