1. Introductory Video: We all know that content is
revolutionizing the world, with videos being watched by more people than the
world population. And allowing creators to monetize channels with
insane amount of revenue. The issue I encountered once I started content creation was the insane prices of editing softwares that completely
stopped me from editing. However, there is
one software that stood out from the rest Pca, completely free with world
class level features allowing everyone to
create content for free. Mba, a content creator which has worked as
a video editor for the past months and recently started to create
videos for Youtube, getting over 20,000 views
in less than seven days. And all of that by using Capcut. That's why I've created
this course that will take a complete beginner which knows nothing about Pc through ten, easy to digest
lessons into a master in all the cap cut features to improve
as a content creator. This course starts with
the basic features. After that, we're
going to move onto everything that regards
effects, transitions, music and sound effects. And no, this is not going
to be just boring theory. We are then going to create three pieces of short
form content to dive deep into practical
workflow of content creation. We are then going to
end this course with an amazing 30 minute dedicated
master class on color grading by going from the absolute basics to
the advanced features. And as a bonus, you
will get access to make exclusive editing peg which
contains the sound effects, trending glowing icons, the overlays used for the
color grading in the course, and the most trending burn and a leap dial paper
style transitions. So ladies and gentlemen, I can't wait to see you in
the first lesson where you will learn everything regarding
Pca from start to finish.
2. Class project: Welcome to this class project. For this project, I
will ask you to create a short video of less
than 60 seconds. Use a ratio of nine by 16 as I will explain
later in the course, which can be of any
topic of your choice. As long as it's a short
video of around 60 seconds, You're then going to export it. And you're then going
to import it on Google Drive by right
clicking file upload. And as you can see
it's right here. You double click on
it and it's going to upload right here on the
bottom right corner. Once you are done uploading, you will see right here on
the bottom right corner, one upload complete, and then you will right
click on your video. Click Share once again. And then you will click
right here instead of restricted anyone
with the link. And then you're going to copy
Link and then paste this in the project's ambition part so that I can review
it personally. Now I wish you good learning.
3. Installation and interface breakdown: Welcome to this incredible in depth course about Cap Cut PC. In this course, you will learn everything regarding Capcut. In the first two lessons, you will learn
everything regarding the basic features such as the basic panels and
stuff like that. In the next features, we will jump right away into practice, creating shorts and explaining everything while
I'm creating stuff. Today you can see the
creative process. And I'm not a big fan of theory, but for the first two lessons, I will have to explain
the most basic tools, otherwise I can't really speak the cap cut
language with you. Let's get straight into it. First, let's start on
installing the software. If you already
have it installed, you can skip to the
number tech on screen. Otherwise you go on
the search bar on Google and you either
copy and paste this, or you check the Word
document that is in the attached file in this course and in
the Word Document, you will find the
exact steps to install the video editing software
and the links we enter. And we are now on the
cap cut interface. Now we can either
click download for Windows or if you
have you go up here, download for Windows or
mobile. If you're from mobile. If you're from mobile, you can also go in the Microsoft Store. Once you're on Microsoft Store, you search Pct and
you're right here. You find it, click
it, and it's free. Once you've completed
the installation, you will be created
with this interface. I highly suggest you
to log in right here. You can login with Google, Facebook, whatever
you want, E mail. I logged in with Google
so that I now have some spaces that I can
use to upload files. And this is a good feature that allows us to work directly on timelines without needing
to, every time, you know, export the video and then
upload it on Google Drive, download for Google Drive, and then edit it and re upload the Google Drive long process. Meanwhile, with this Space
feature, it's really easy. You can invite wherever you
want to just click here, copy and paste this link. And then you upload
other projects that you have or medias, which means assets, images, videos, stuff like that. Now we go back to the home here and to start a new project, we're going to simply
click on new projects. Once you start a new project, the first thing
that you need to do is on top you see this number, which is the month of the creation of the
project and the day. I highly suggest you to change this to whatever you prefer. Because once you will start
to have 102030 projects, it's going to be hard to
remember which one is which, if they're all named 2021, 2022, 2023, stuff like that. Once we have done
that, let's look at the panels that we
are presented with. So the first thing
that we will do is analyze how the media panel
work, which is the first one. So the first thing that we
can do is click on Import. I've chosen the clip
that I want to add. This is a 47 minute
from Alex or Mozi, which is a guide that
talks about business. And in this course, we're
going to edit a part of that video in order to gain some practice before
getting too specific. Let's talk about the timeline, which is this panel right
here, the one below. To show you how to use this, I will first drag
this clip right here, and this is how it works. So the first thing that we have is kind of tools
which is select, split, select, left
word and right word. Right now we are on select, which is the normal mouse icon. And what this
basically allows to do is to drag the stuff around. As you can see right here, I just select the
stuff and move it. The splitting tool allows you to split the clips in
different parts, and then if you want,
you can go back to the Select tool and move
it around as you prefer. And then we have the
select left word, which means that it selects
all the clip on the left from where I clicked or
the select right word which does the same
thing but for the right. As you can see. Now
out of these tools, the only tool that they
personally use is select. And sometimes, but it's really
rare because what you can do instead of having to switch and switch back
to the tool every time, you can use a shortcut,
which is control. And what control B does
is splitting your clip. As you can see, I highly
suggest you to learn control B. Then we have undo and redo, which I highly suggested
to learn as well. Because the amount of
time that you just click back space on accident is a lot. And since you don't want to ruin everything
that you've done, you just click control Z or
you can click the arrow. Same thing I highly
suggest you to learn. Control Z and boom. Everything is better, normal. And the things that suggest
to learn are control and control Z because
they will help low. There is now another set of
tools, so how do we use it? As you can see there
is the split tool, but as I remember you, you can simply learn
to click control B and you will never have to
reach out for these tools. Every time you have
to split a clip, then there is delete left, which let's say for
example, I'm at this frame, okay, when norms is
looking to the left. If I click delete left, it deletes the whole first part. And if I go at the
start, as you can see, we can find the frame where
Mozi was looking to the left. And then there is delete right, which does the same thing. But for the right
then there is delete, which deletes the whole clip. And for that you can simply
learn to use backspace, as it is really fast to
delete clips with backspace. And then you have another
five tools which allows you to create a steel frame of
the image as you can see. Then there is reverse,
which traverses the whole clip from the last
second to the first second. Then there is mirror.
Pay attention to the clip so you
can see what happens. It's as simple as that.
Then there is rotate, which allows you to rotate
by 90 degrees and then crop. If you crop, you can choose how much of the image
you want to show. For example, like this. Then there is a pro
fissure which is removed, feeler words, but it doesn't
really affect as much. And now let's finish talking
about the time line. There are three useful tools
right here on the left. The first one is log truck, which allows you to lock everything that
happens on the truck. So you cannot delete it, you cannot move it, you cannot do anything
to the truck. Then there is High
truck which basically hides audio and
video of the truck. And then there is mute clip
audio which allows you to show the clip but multi audio and to
finish of the timeline. There are another set
of tools right here. The first one is a record. If you want, you
can click Record, click the Thread button, and you will be able to record your voice over directly
in the editing software, the whole video if you want. There is also an echo
reduction box which you can turn on to
avoid echo, basically. Then there are
another four tubles. Let's start from the first one, track magnet on cap cut. There are two types
of timelines. The first one is this one below. Let me put a video there. This is the main timeline. It's always the lowest timeline. Okay? There is no such a thing as a timeline lower
than that one. As you can see, I'm trying to move it below, but
it doesn't happen. Another characteristic
of the main timeline is that it is always
on the background. So if you put a video on top, you will not be able to
see the thing below. Going back to the truck magnet, here is why this
information is useful when the truck magnet is
on. So it is blue. If I put a video on
the main time line, doesn't matter where I put it, it is always going to be
close to the first one. As you can see, I'm
trying to put it here, but it just gets warm. Instead, if I remove
this fissure, I can put my videos
wherever I want. If I turn it on again, Boom, everything goes together. The second fissure
here is auto snapping. Whenever autosnapping is not on, I am never sure if the clips
are close to each other. So for example, let's
move this clip close. As you can see, they look
like they're together. But if I zoom in, there is a black hole here and
we don't want it. That's why we turn
on auto snapping, which allows you to snap. You see it creates
that blue line that makes you understand that
the clips are now aligned, then we have turned
on or off Linkage. Linkage is the ability to link either clips or audio
to a certain clip. And I usually suggest to
this off, and here's why. If I remove this clip, I don't necessarily want
this text to go out, because maybe I need
it for something else. If the linkage is off and
they remove the clip, the text remains instead. If I turn on linkage
and remove the clip, the text is going to
disappear as you can see. So I usually leave
this off because I don't like the idea of text
disappearing with my video. And then we move on
to preview axis with previous axis on as a scrap
through the timeline. As you can see, the video is moving on top of
the player panel. Instead, if I turn this off, the yellow line disappears
and no video is shown. And this is a really
good feature, although if you have a
really bad hardware, a really bad PC like me, once you start to add color
correction, transitions, effects, text,
audios, everything, and the project
starts to become B. I suggest to turn this off
as it makes you Laugh, but you will figure it out on your own, Don't worry about it. And then we move on
to the player panel. In the player panel, click Play. You're going to see everything that is happening on the screen. You can also choose how much you want to zoom in or
zoom out the ratio. This is for example,
for a long form video, this is for a short video. You can even do
customized if you want. You can click here
and go full screen. And then you can also
click on the broker bar, where you get three options. The first one is
the color Ocilope, which I don't suggest if you
use because it is really advanced and it doesn't give you that useful
of any information. Anyway, then we have preview quality and you can
choose between two, the first one being
smoothness and the second one being
screen resolution. I usually go for
performance priority as a trier to clip, be smooth. And then we have export seal
frame, which if I click, will allow me to like
take a screenshot of this little screen here and save it in whatever
folder I want. Then we have our
inspector panel, which is extremely useful. But we're going to talk
about it in the next lesson.
4. Inspector essentials: So here we are. I've chosen 5 minutes of the whole
presentation from Alex. And we're going to
edit this part. And in this lesson,
we are going to learn how to use
this player panel, which is the inspector. I'd like to clarify a couple
of things that I didn't say in the last lesson
because I simply forgot. Which are out to zoom in
and out of the timeline. And the command to
do it is you all control or command if you're from Mac and you use
your scroll wheel, and that allows you
to do it quicker. So I'll do that a
bunch of times, and then if you ever
forget about a shortcut, you can find it right here. There is an entire list and you can also change
them if you want. I highly suggest you
to leave everything on default because if you have the same shortcuts as default, doesn't matter what PC or
editing on or Web version, you will not have to
reset every time, all the shortcuts, et
cetera, et cetera. Therefore, I highly suggest you to leave
everything on default. And now let's get on this Spector panel on the first part, the video part, you can see
four options right here. So let's start with the
first one on Basic. You can see the scale, so how much the image is
zoomed in the position, how far to the right, left, top or bottom the image is. And you can always change
these numbers also by using the handles right here or by moving
the image like this. For the rotate, you
can either use this one or one, or type a number. You can also use keyframes. Keyframes are a way to save a certain statistic of the
image at a certain second. For example, at second zero, the scale of the clip is
100% Then if I go forward, it can be 404. If I play this through, this
is going to slowly increase over and over until it
reaches the second key frame. Or it is 404. If you want a complete keyframe
breakdown with how to use these kind of
graphs and stuff like that, I hardly suggested to
check my course on my profile page and you will find it is
called key frame mastery. But back to the inspector. After the position and size, we have the blend mode. To show you the blend mode, I've bring in a couple of gradients and here's
how they work. When you use the blend mode, you basically decide how you
want your image or video, in this case image, to interact with the
other videos of image. So if the blend mode is normal, this is going to show
normally above it. Nothing changes, but you also
have a lot of more options. For example, brighten,
which basically allows the white light
from the image to come, but the black light is ignored. You can do the
opposite with darken. As you can see, the dark light comes and the white
one is ignored. The best blending
modes are overlay, which is really good
for color grading and we'll get to that later. And then also screen the screen blend mode is useful if for example you
have something like this, a black screen and in the center of the image there is
an image or a video. You basically it screen and all the black
stuff disappears. So you can put the art, for
example, on the bottom. And this is what it looks like simply by blending
it on screen mode. And then you can also find other ways of
blending your image. But they are not really
necessary for anything, so I'll just keep them. We have also opacity that we can use depending on how much
we want to show our image. Zero being not showy. And you can play with this
to create some fade ins, for example, with
also key frames. Then we have to stabilize. What this does is removing the camera shakes
that might be there because the cameramen was an amateur or the camera was
unstable and it was moving. There are three
different levels, from a medium to a minimum to the most stable
you can decide, but in most cases
you don't need this. Then we have some pro features which we're not
going to go into. We have motion blur
that allows you to blur to a moving image. This is a really good
addition that just got added. You can see while it's moving
that there is some blur. And if I toklet off, you can see clearly disappears. This is a really good
addition by cap cut. And then we have canvas that
is a really useful feature. If for example your clip
is on a nine by 16, but your clip is 16 by nine, what you can do is
you apply canvas. Let's choose this one. And as you can see, you have a playing clip in the background
which is blurred out. You can decide how
much you want it blur. And I want to make clear
that this feature is only available for the clips
in the main timeline. If I have this other clip, for example, and I
go at the bottom, I will not see the
Canvas option, but I will see layers. And let me explain what
layers are real quick. To show how layers work, I got three different
colored screen so that you can clearly
see the difference. The third layer is
the one that you see. If I want to move
this layer backwards, I will click either two or one, and another one is going
to be on layer three. Right now, the red screen is on layer three as you can see. If I put this in layer two, the white screen
is going to go on layer three. That's
as simple as that. If I put this in layer one, the red screen is going to
appear, as you can see. Now, since the yellow
is in layer two. If I go on the red screen
and put layer two, it is going to switch
with a yellow. That's as simple as that. You can use this feature If
for example you want to put a smaller screen and a larger
screen on the background. So if right here I wanted to put this kind of image
as a face cam, for example, Like this, I simply could, and the rest of the video could be the image. Or if I'm making a gaming video, it could be the gaming gameplay. And on the top you
can see the face cam. Now that we've moved into, now that we've covered every single feature of the basics, let's
go on the cutout. In the cutout you can find
some really good features. The first one is chromaky. Chromaky is really
useful if, for example, you want to remove
a green screen, which are clips that
are specifically designed for this feature. And you can find them
for free on Internet, on Youtube for example. I usually look them up there. You click on the green screen and then you choose
your strength. And if you have some parts
where as you can see, it's getting kind of ruined, You can apply a bit of shadow and play with the controls
until we have what you want. And now as you can see, we have a complete image with the background removed,
which is perfect. If we don't have a green screen, we can also use auto cut out, which only works for people. So if I click on it, it will
process and as you can see, we have the same results. Although I usually
prefer the green screen, because as you can
see, there are some parts which aren't perfect. We can now move on
to the masking. How does masking work? It's fairly simple. You click on the masking option that
you prefer for logos. It is usually circle to
give you an example. But just for the
sake of doing this, I'll click on Horizontal. And this basically allows you to cancel a certain
part of the clip. For example, if I want only
to show the first part. And then you can use a bit of feather to smooth things out. As you can see, you can also create a really cool
effect with this. If you put it all the way
below and you apply feather, you're going to
create this kind of effect where it is
slightly black. And this is really used
in content creation, especially short form content. And also when subtitles
appear from the bottom, there is usually this
kind of feather effect. You can also use this
normally to, for example, split a clip perfectly
in the middle and make, for example, a comparison. There are also other
kind of masks, you can also use the circle. For example, four face
comes if you want. As you can see, you can do whatever you want with
this kind of masks. You also, if you want to cut out a specific
part of the image, for example, I have this end, but I don't want it to show. I can click on a
reverse mask and it is going to show
everything but the end. I can move it and as you can
see it as hit in the end. I could use it, for example,
for something like this. As you can see there is a mask, is the character in the middle. And then we have enhance, which allows you to enhance
the faces, your image. For example, this one was identified and you can
choose smoothness. Brightness can also
change the face, make it slimer, bigger. You can shorten the face. There are also a lot of
controls for the body. For example, you see
slimming the neck. I don't usually play
with this as I like to keep the people that
are talking real. I don't like to modify
their physical appearance. I don't think it's right, but you can do
whatever you want. Of course. Let's talk about the rest of the parts
of the inspector tool. The second function
here is the audio. Now, the audio is pretty
self explanatory. You can raise it,
you can lower it. You can use key frames
to add custom volume. You can fade the audio in
as you can see right here, or fade it out as
you can see here. You can use noise reduction even though it doesn't
work really well. I highly suggest to
use Adobe podcast. It's a free software that allows you to announce
every single audio. You can use vocal isolation even though it's a paid fissure. You can use this
feature. For example, there is someone talking
over some kind of music. You can use this feature
to type Keep vocal. And it's basically
going to remove the music and keep the
voice, or vice versa. If you click Remove Vocal, you cannot export the video
if you use this fissure. But you can re record
your screen using a software like OBS and then
re import what you recorded. And then we have channels which is a fissure that
we want to use. Let me go on speed and this
is a pretty important part. So when it comes to speed, there are three ways to
control the speed of a clip. First, using this handle. So by making it faster or
slower, as you can see, the clip gets bigger if
it goes slower of course, and smaller if it goes faster. You can go up to 100 x. Usually the max you
should go is ten x because otherwise you can't really see
what's happening. And then there is
another way to control the speed if you want it to
fit an exact time frame. For example, if you want
it exactly 5 seconds, you can use this arrow right
here and it is going to tell you the exact speed that you need to have a
clip that is long, 5 seconds, in this
case it's 7.8 speed. You can also change
the voice stone so that it doesn't sound weird,
but that's up to you. And then the third way
to control the speed, which is the best
one, is by going on curve and choosing a speed ramp. Regarding speed
ramping, there are these six pre made presets
which are pretty good. I usually use this one and
modify it if I need to. For example, I can go
with something like this and they've created
something like this, Ero time. As you can see, it's
completely customizable. What this does is,
as you can see, the speed goes up here
and then it slows down. And it's currently slowed down. And then it slowly keeps going and keeps improving his speed until it gets to
one speed again. And this is normal
speed. This is really useful for transitions
and stuff like that. Just make sure to use moth slow motion because
as you can see here, it looks like it's
frame lagging. You see instead, if you
use a smooth slow motion, especially optical flow, it
is going to be way smoother. Here's what it looks like
with some optimal flow. As you can see, there
is this kind of motion blower and it
looks way smoother. And now let's move
on to animation. Animation is one of
the most useful parts of the inspector tool as it allows you to
have in transitions, out transitions, and
especially combo transitions. We will use them later to create some cool graphics, so
don't worry about this. We'll come back to them. Regarding the in and
out transitions, there are some like the fade in. You can decide its length, and once you put the fade in, this is what happens
to the clip. It slowly fades in. And it's of course the same for the fade out combo transition. Basically happen for
as much as you want. If I were, for example, to choose this flip forward transition from the combo ones. As you can see it is
doing this kind of thing and it doesn't really work out for long
videos like this. Now here, there is a part
for motion tracking. I've tried to use
this multiple times when you start to
track an object, either with text or you try
and make the position truck. But I've never had success with this as it doesn't
really work great, it doesn't follow
what you tell him. To my suggestion, if you don't know how
to try quick keyframes, again, I made a
course on keyframes. They're one of the most
useful tools ever. And then we get to adjustment. And in the adjustment panel, there is all kind of
color correction. At the end of this
course, there is a specific section that is
reserved to color correction. So I'll get on touch
on that later.
5. Text, media importation, start of the first project: Without boring you with theory, let's now get into action. So I've chosen a clip here that is around 30 seconds long. And I'm going to
edit in order to implement some of the
media that I've chosen, some from Google, some
from my asset pack, and some text that he'll
explain while create. So let's get started and
let's watch this video. We describe someone identity. We say hey, he's honest, he's hard working, he's
a real estate agent. That's how we describe them.
So let's translate those. He's honest, he states the
facts, he's hardworking. You complete tasks as faster, faster than expectations you agree to the real estate agent, Someone who
represents buyers and resellers in real
estate transactions. All right, that's the identity, but everything that
we used to describe the identity or things
the person does, we will now use this clip. And to do that, I'll first import all the media
that I've chosen. I have now gone ahead and sync all the media that
I have to the clip. What I want to do now
is extract the audio. To do that, you right click, and here you click extract Odio, and you will have the
audio audio panel. For now, we will
leave it like that. The only reason I'm doing
that is because I want to cut some parts of the clip so that we can see
the glowing icon. Look at this, he
states the facts. I'll do it right here as well, and this is what it looks
like. It's hard working. You complete tasks as fast or faster than the
real estate agent, somebody who
represents buyers and sellers in real
estate transactions. What they will do now is
caption this whole thing. To do this, I will highlight
the rest of the timeline. Right click on one of the clips and then
click Deactivate Clip. You can also use V, which will deactivate the clip. This function basically tells editing software that
there's nothing here. So that now when we click
on text and simply click on auto captions and it is going to capture
the whole video. Not the part that
is deactivated. Now let's customize the text. Whenever I'm creating
a new video, I always make a different text. Right here, I will
click upper case, so that old letters
become upper case. Then I will add a bit of stroke. I will go with a black one
and make it like that. I will also increase
the size of the text. Then I don't really want
a background because I don't think it fits really
well. I'll just remove it. I could add a bit of glow white one go with low intensity
and lower range, I don't want it to
be too evident. Then I'll add a shadow because I really like shadows on text. As you can see, it's really smooth and almost unnoticeable. I will leave the opacity on 80. I will slightly improve the
distance, and that's it. There's also another
option which is curve. But I don't like it as it doesn't look
pretty professional. Therefore, I won't
use it if you want. There are plenty of
effects which are primate text and
you can use them. For example, if I
choose this one, I can then go in the basic
and then tweak them. So I can tweak the glow. I cannot add strokes or shadows because the preset
doesn't allow me to. But I can use some curve if I want or do something
along the headline. I usually make my own text. And if it comes out great. I can also save it as a preset so that I
can use it later. Another thing that I forgot
to do is change the font. I think I will go
with this, Monsra. Because I really
like this. I don't need to highlight all the text. Because since I've
used auto captions, all the text is linked together. And I just need to tick
this box, apply to all. As you can see, the font changed for every single subtitle. Before doing anything, I
will save this as a preset. I will click the right
space and click Okay. And now every time I want
to use this kind of phone, I will find it just by going on a text presets. And
it's right here. There are some captions
that are not ideal. As you can see, this one goes
out of the screen and there are multiple ways to
avoid this issue. One of them being remaking all the captions manually,
which is the longest. And I don't suggest
one of the fastest one that allows you more
control is going on captions. And then you simply left
click and then Enter. And you do it until
you have either made one word subtitles
or you may want to do three word subtitles,
whatever you want. This allows you more control. As you can see, a
faster way to do this is either going on
templates and choosing one template that
has this kind of text showing word by word
or whatever you prefer. Or you can go on animation. You go on captions and
click on Bands Out. And the Fsino can put
this in the middle. It's a real estate agent.
That's how we describe them. And as you can see, just by putting that kind of animation, we have one word subtitles. So let's translate.
This only applies to the subtitle that we
apply the animation to. If I want the effect to be
applied to the whole captions, I can highlight all of them. Animation punts out and this is what it looks
like. He states the facts. I am not going to use
the bands out though, because I don't want
one word subtitles. I want combinations
that are more engaging. So I'll go ahead and click
on None, go back on. Captions make around
two words subtitle. Now that we have the
subtitles made of two words, Max, what I'm going to do is go ahead and cut all the role. I forgot to explain
what the Errol is. The role is the main
footage, in this case, Alex talking with
his presentation where there is the presentation
and there isn't Alex. I'm using the left and right
keys to move frame by frame. I'll just cut, go
forward and there we go. We now have only these
three parts of role. Therefore, we will have to fill this space and this space. Meanwhile, for this space
is a bit easier because we have this kind of media
for this one, we don't. Let's start from the
first seconds here. We have to say he's honest, he's hard working, he
is a real estate agent. The way we're going to fill this black space is going to
be by adding a background. And then I will slightly
modify this text. So the first thing
to do is uncheck, Apply to all so that we don't throw in
the whole captions. And now we click one point so that it looks like it's the
first thing on the list. We put it here. And then I think a good color for
honest is green, since it is a good quality. So we put honest. We can also change the color of
the one if we want to. Let's see if we managed
to find something good. I think I changed my mind
and I'm going to keep the one colored yellow and
the quality is colored white. So let's stick
with that for now. Then we move this upwards and we make it long until
the end of the clip. Then we have hard working. We do this, we go right
here in the captions. And they go together
by eating back space. We put it in the center, we make it bigger, the two. And then to copy the same
yellow that we used before, we go right here, we
highlight the one. We copy this number right
here. Then we go back. We go on two and we
have the same yellow. Then I also want to
make them aligned. So I'll do something like this, make this a bit bigger. I will also move the upwards and make it,
as long as the clip, I will also remove
E's because it's a verb and it doesn't
really fit well. We also is a real estate agent. Let's go with this. Let's
remove this part right here. We have only real estate agent. We make it bigger. This text three fine
and put it right here. We highlight the three. We don't color, copy, and paste, and we
have the same three. So this is what we had. He's
artist, he's hard working. He's a real estate
agent. That's how we describe them, which is perfect. The only thing that I'd
add is an animation when the text enters and now
we need to add an animation. Let's try with slide up.
I think it might work. Well, let's see
how it turned out. Artist. He's hard working.
He's a real estate agent. I'd say it's honestly perfect. I am now questioning
the yellow dough. Let's see if a green
could work well here. I actually think that
green works better here. So I will copy this number and then go on the
other numbers. Let's look at the final result. Hey, he's artist,
he's hardworking, he's a real estate agent that's, we'd describe them,
which is perfect. And now we have to add
the Translate here. I will remove these and add the Google Translate
when he says translate. And the way I'll do
it is by putting scale to the minimum at the
start so it's invisible. We put a key frame,
then we go forward, put another key frame, we put the scale to around 35. Then we go a bit forward and we reduce the
scale once again. And let's see these looks, so let's translate those. He's artist perfect. It has created this
cool pop effect. Let's watch it once again.
So let's translate those. Okay, now we have put the Google Translate
here. He is, honest. And now we have to create
this bureau in a better way. Let's copy and paste
this background because I love it honestly. So that we give a
background to this stuff, let's put honesty in the middle. Let's make sure that it's
completely at the bottom. At the start, we put a keyframe. And then we go forward
and we move it upwards more than
where it should be. It will create a
keyframe automatically. Then we move a bit
forward once again, and we go slightly below.
Let's see how this looks like. He states the facts decent, but we can make this better. So let's open these graphs
by using alt K. Again, if you didn't watch my
course on key frames, I highly suggest this because it allows you
to make radical intros. I will move this slightly
afterwards and then click Auto curve on every
single one of them. And let's see how this
looks like now he states the facts, it's good. The only issue is that I've
changed the x and not the y. Let's change this right away. And what I mean by this is that the x should
always be zero. I only want it to move
vertically, not horizontally. And the X is deter means
the horizontal movement. The Y is deter means
the vertical movement. Now let's go on the y and click auto curve on
every single key frame. Let's this looks like
he states the facts. Perfect. Now a
really good intro. Now once is done here, saying that he states the facts, I want him to start
moving to the left. Let's hit a keyframe
on everything. Then we go forward and we
make him slightly smaller. Right here. Let's
this looks like. States the facts, it's
hard work perfect. And now we want this to
pop up from the bottom. Since I don't want to
recreate the animation, since I really like this one, there is no need to recreate another one that
is the exact same. What I will do is click on the animation here on the graph, then I will cook you
on the first keyframe. Then by holding control, or if you're a Mac command, you click on every
single keyframe so that all of them
are highlighted. Then you eat control plus
C so that you copy them. Then you go at the start
of the clip and you paste, and you have the
exact same animation. Now the only thing that I
want is to go to this side, and to do that I just remove this minus and it ends on the
right side of the screen. I don't want this to disappear. Let's see how this looks like
now he states the facts. It's hard working. You complete
tasks, that's perfect. I just want this to happen a bit sooner. Let's look at it. He states the facts. It's hard working you complete tasks. This is absolutely perfect. Now we want this to
be interaged until the end of the clip We
are going to eat Ok, so that the keyframe
animation disappears. And now we have to
do the same thing for the real estate agent, which is a bit harder
because the image is lower quality and it's not as good as the ones
in my assets bag. So to do that, I will
make this smaller, I will go forward and
make it pop right here. Keyframe is created. I go a bit further
and I put it down. Let's see what this
looks like and you agree to the real estate. Let's go on the
keyframe animation. Let's go on the Y, which is the one that
we use the most, because Y again, represents
vertical movement. The click on auto curve on every key frame and this
shouldn't be a waste moder. Let's see patents. You agree to the
real estate agent, someone who
represents buyers and resellers in real
estate transactions. This is all perfect, but the image is looking a
bit static towards the end. So what they will do is alight every clip and click Alt G. This will create
a compound clip. And for this clip I
will be able to add later some effects that
will add movement. But since effects are
for the next lesson, let's stick to
text and graphics. Okay, okay, let's look
at this once more. Updates the facts.
It's hard working. You complete tasks as fast
or faster than expectations. You agree to the
real estate agent, someone who
represents buyers and sellers in real
estate transactions. All right, that's the identity, but everything that
we used to describe the identity or things
the person does. For the lesson, you have learned how to create
text animations, how to create your own text, how to create your
own text presets, how to create compound clips
animations with key frames. The basics. And how to caption videos in a
matter of seconds. You have also learned how to
use templates and effects.
6. Effects and masks in detail: In this lesson, we'll
talk about stickers. Stickers are either
PNGs or gifts, so little animations I
can add them like this. It is going to
quickly download it, and as you can see,
there is, for example, this one, there are
a lot of stickers, but they aren't
usually too good. They're subdivided
into sections, and I've never
found anything that is good or that can
be used on a video, except sometimes some arrows, but it's really rare. Usually finding assets
online is better. Even these emogies
are in the best. I don't see myself using an emogule like this
in a serious video. Not at all. Of course, you're free to check
out all the stickers. And if you find
something that you like, you can add it to your
favorites if you're signed in. But I didn't find anything good. So let's move on to effects. Effects are a really
good section. It is subdivided into sections. Again, I believe that the
best section is the lens one. As you can find, a
lot of blur motion, blur that is often used
in content creation. There is also this really
cool effect which is edge glow and we will
use it right now. What edge clothes as you can see it is going to affect mainly
our real estate here. As you can see, there isn't a glow around the PNG because we imported
it from the Internet. But if I go on the edge
glow as you can see, this is now glowing as well. Therefore, I will go here at the start of
the compound clip, I will zoom in to make sure
that I am at the start. There we go. And then I
will try it all the way. And this is what it looks like. As you can see, it
is adding glow to every single sticker or PNG or whatever you
want to call it. And also to the real estate one, so they're all the same. You can also modify how much
you want the glow to be. You can make it lower,
you can make it higher, usually leave it around. Default, you could
also, if you want, add key frames, make a glow of 25 here and
a glow of 100 here. As you can see, it
is slowly improving and becomes bigger and bigger
and bigger until it's x. I will not do that though, because I just like it
to keep it on default. Then I will also show you how to blur stuff from your image. Let's say for example, I
wanted to blur his face. All right, this is not what
we want to do in this video. I'm just showing you a
practical example to use Blur. So the first thing that I will
first thing that I will do is control C and control clip
so that they've copied it. Next thing that I'll do is use the knowledge that
we used before for the mask and go
in circle because that's the shape that most
resonates with a face. Then I will disable the one below so that I can
see the face here. I will shape it correctly. I think this is good enough. Then before adding the blower, what I will do is make
sure to track the mask. What I can do is going
at the first frame, it's a keyframe on position, then move forward and move this, and it's going to create
another key frame. Then I do the same thing again until I have tracked
the whole image Perfect. Now that we track
the whole image, let's see if it's good
and it should be. As you can see,
the face is always strike. Now what do we do? Well, we simply add the
blur effect to this image. We can choose how much intensity do we want to think with
something like this. Then we enable this one. As you can see, the
final result in this 11 of the ways to use it is
not with faces of course, but one of the best
ways is, for example, you're opening a folder and
you want to blur it out. Or if you want to blur out
your personal information, once you're signing
in a website, you can use this kind of stuff. Usually, if you
want to do this for a website or personal
information, rectangle is the option
that works the best because you can easily select a rectangle of
personal information. For example, if there is your
E mail here on a website. What I could do to
smooth out this blower is apply some feather,
for example, two. As you can see,
without a feather, you can clearly see the edges. Instead, with a
feather of even two, you can already see that
it's more smooth and better. You can also adjust the
feather with this handle, but I suggest using this number right here
because it's easier. I just highlighted all the text. I will now move it lower. To move it lower, you move it wherever you want.
For example, here. Then it doesn't
apply to every text. Of course, because it
didn't click Apply to All. But I don't want to apply to all because these
are also captions. And all of these texts would go on the same
position as well. What I will do is just move one of the text
wherever I want, then I'll go low to position. And then I want to put the Y of the text at the same
amount of this one. So I will cook here,
it's this number. I will copy it. I will highlight
everything once again. And then I will
copy it right here. As you can see now the scale
is applied to all the texts. I will also add the feather
I was talking about. We go on the media panel and there is this little
thing called library. On library, there are a lot of assets that you
can use for free. What I'm using right
now is a blood screen. This thing only lasts 5 seconds. So what you can do is go with the player head
wherever you want. Click Edit, Freeze, And now
you have a frozen screen. You remove the text. You can expand this
as much as you like. Once you have your
frozen screen, you go wherever you have
your background with the paper and you make
the length like that. We also copy it right here. We will use this by creating
a mask which is horizontal, flipping it and then going around right here and
applying a lot of feather. I'd say like this is enough where there
is this background. As you can see there
is a little black here that helps the text to
stick out from the macron. I will also copy this
and past state right here so I don't have to
recreate the effect actually. There we go. As you can see, it is what it looks like. I could also apply this
to the whole video, but since Altro Moos has this kind of
black thing already, you cannot really see, therefore I'm not
going to do it. I will also show you some
other really good effects, first one being neon outline. Basically, it creates a
neon outline like this. I will show you the
right way to use this because if you
use it like this, only it doesn't look too great. The best way they found to
use this is to go on a clip. For example, this one you apply the effect that you
disable all the rest. You export the clip
as an MP four. Once we've exported the project, what we're going to do is bring the exported
version right here. Then we're going to
cut it once it ends, which should be here, we remove the effect since
we don't need it anymore. Now we go on adjustment. We will get on color
grading later. But just as a quick
tap, saturation, all the way to the bottom -50
is black and white images. That's all we need
to know for now. And with this knowledge, we can make this effect
black and white. Then we go on video, we leave
the blend mode to normal. We reduce the opacity to's 40. And then since we don't want
the background highlighted, we only want the character. We're going to go on
cut out, auto cut out. And as you can see now, the only one that is highlighted is the character I don't really like his face
because as you can see, it looks like his
eyes are never open. So what I will go
ahead and do is go on video mask horizontal. Turn the undred 80 degrees
and remove its face. So this is what it
should look like. Perfect. I will also fade it a bit because if
you pay attention, you can see that the bird
has two different colors. Let's see. Now, now
it's way better. This shirt is all
shiny. I like that. That is a way to use the
neon outline effect. Another function that I want to mention is this section
here, body effect. All the body effect can be
found in the video effects, but if you're
looking for effects, especially for bodies, this
is the right section to search in as they're all here. There is one that I really like, you can sort them again by
these sections right here. One of my favorite
ones is this one. It basically does an outline
around the character. I really like it
when I'm creating edits and there are a lot
of ways to customize it. How much you want the
environment to be black. I usually turn this
all the way down to zero or a little bit. Then if you want the stroke
to be a certain color, you can decide the strength. You can decide how
long is the line, as you can see right
here, is really long. You can choose the size. I usually leave it
around here at 30, lower the range,
the strength around 80 because the strength
is just how bright it is. So as you can see at
100, it's really right. At zero, it's not right, so I usually leave it at
around 80, 90 depends. And then you can choose
how fast it moves. I usually make it pretty quick. Also, ideally you want
it to only, you know, stop once it's done a circle
or maybe full circle, you don't want it to continue. So you could do
something like this. There we go. That's perfect. That's a really cool effect. I Aly suggested to use it. The last effect that I want to talk about is rebounds wing. And that's because,
as you can see, if we play this clip,
it's pretty static. You know, everyone
is standing still and there is this effect
which is really good, which is called rebounds wing. That if you apply to
the compound clip is going to animate the iphones. So as you can see here in the player panel,
they're moving now. We don't want them to be synchronized as
they are right now because it doesn't look
really good as you can see. In order to make the
movement not synchronized, what we're going to do is undo compound clip
and as you can see, all the clips are alone. Now we're now going
to cut at around here at their key frame where they go in
their last position. Right here we go a couple of frames forward
and we cut the clip. And we do the same
for all of them. There we go. And
then we're going to apply the rebound swing
effect to each one. Singularly, they're
not synchronized, but they still go
at the same speed. What they will do is put the playerhead where there
are all of the clips. Click on the special
effect, click on the clip. Go right here where there
is written, effects modify. And I'll reduce the size and
speed of every single one, but I will make sure that
numbers are slightly different. Something is a bit quicker, is a bit slower.
Stuff like that. They're all moving
a bit too slow. I'll put the size and speed
up of all the effects. There we go. Let's
say this look Sound. As you can see there
is a bit of movement now and the background
is changing as well. It's pretty good.
In this lesson, you have learned some of the main effects
that you will use, such as edge glow, rebounds wing, and also this
really cool finger stroke. And also the neon outline to create this
effect on the shirt. And in the next lesson, we're going to talk about audio.
7. Audio, music and sound effects explained: In this lesson, we
will talk about audio and everything
that has to do with it. So music, sound effects, and all that kind of stuff. But before starting,
let's look at what we have created until now. Say hey, he's artist, he's hard working, he's
a real estate agent. That's how we describe them, so let's translate those. He's artist, he states the
facts. He's hard working. You complete tasks as
faster or faster than expectations you agree to
the real estate agent, someone who
represents buyers and resellers in real
estate transactions. All right, that's the identity, but everything that we used
to describe the identity or things the person
does perfect. I'd say we've done a
really good job until now. So before really getting
into this part of the audio, let's highlight one of
the audios that we have. Let's go here in this section. As you can see,
there are a lot of options that I've
already explained here. Then there is the voice. Now here's what the
voice changer does. It's pretty simple. It
basically changes the voice. I don't usually use it, but for example here how it
sounds with a deep voice. It sounds like one of
those kidnappers in the Netflix movies West say, hey, you can change the timber. Honest. He's hard working, he's a real estate agent
or the pitch, and that's the way
I've described them. There are also other ways
of changing the voice. I don't usually use them, but if you're creating
some kind of documentary and you want this kind of
voice, you can create it. So these are the voice changers. There is also an AI application
that has this feature, which is really good, and it is called 11 Labs. I highly suggest you to try it. If you're interested
in voice changers, it is currently the
best one in the market. And then there is
pitch two song, which basically transforms whatever he's
saying into a song. But it's not really
good and most of the options are a pro feature, so we're not going to use them. And then we have speed. There is a pretty good option
when it comes to speed. So for example, if I speed up the audio at 1.5 as you can. Hearts, hardworking, it's real estated, that's
what I've described it. The audio is kind of messed up. So what you can do is click
on voice, tone change, and voice is going to be
kind of like a young kid. I'm going to let you hear it. He's honest, he's hardworking,
he's real estated enough. I usually don't suggest to
change the voice of audio if you have a problem
because an audio is too fast or too short,
just re record it. There is nothing else to do. You cannot really modify
the length of an audio because it is going to affect
negatively the voice tone. Now let's get into music, sound effects and all
this kind of stuff. So first thing first here, you can check for songs. There is a really cool
song that they like, so I can look it up. I just type it in
the search bar. It enter and I'll
find it right here. And you probably know
it if I'll play it. The check check if I like this, I'll add it to the timeline and it is going to be
added as an MP three. In this case, the
volume is too high. As you can see there
are the orange bars, so you would like to
take it down like this. Or if you want, you can go in
Basic and modify it as much as you want with these
arrows or with this handle. Since it is a song, you usually want to fade it in
and fade it out, as you can see right here. Although most songs
are already faded in and out by default,
it's personal preference. The music section is also
divided in subsections. As you can see, you can
find Christmas songs, you can find travel songs, pop songs, beats,
whatever you want. And then we move on
to sound effects, which is again subdivided
into sections. If you need some transition
sound effects, for example, you can find them
here, or you can always search them up here. If, for example I'm
looking for a riser, I can, for example, take this one, put
it right here. I will reduce the volume a bit, as I don't want any orange because it means it's too
high. And I'll play it. As you've heard, we
have our sun effect. I can of course, look for every
sound effect that I want. Then we have the
copyright subsection where you can check
your whole video to check if you have copyrighted music for Tiktok and Youtube. Of course. Then there
is extracted audios, which basically allows
you to click Import, and then you choose File, and it is going to extract the audio and add
it to the timeline. Then there is Tiktok, which
is a section where you can link your Tiktok account and
post directly on Tiktok. And then there is brand music. When it comes to brand music, there's also a section of
brand assets at the start. And in this section, you can Either audios or in this case, videos in the space which
only works, of course, if you're signed in and
you can always access your assets from every PC
anywhere in the world, from the web app, mobile, wherever you want. You will not find
every single song of the world in this library. That's why I suggest to go on media local and
import some music. If you want, you can
download them from Google because that is
going to help you out. I've gone ahead and taken a
music and sound effect from my assets pack that you
can find in this course. I'm now going to
add the song first. Then I'll reduce the volume
because as you can see, there is orange, which means
the volume is too high. I'll go even lower
because I want, or Mozi to speak
louder than the song. I will cut the song
here, remove the rest, and I will put the
fade out until here, where the new part
of the song starts. So this is what we had. We describe someone,
a Denny, we say, hey, he's honest, he's hard working,
he's a real estate agent. That's how we describe them, so let's translate those. He's honest, he
states the facts. He's hard working. You complete tasks as faster, faster
than expectations. You agree to the
real estate agent. Someone who represents
buyers and, or sellers in real
estate transactions. All right, that's the identity. But everything that we used
to describe the identity or things the person does, perfect. Let's now add some
sound effects. I've got in some paper effects for the paper that we
have here and here. And then we also have a wooh, a couple of bulbs and a riser. So let's add those in and
let's place them correctly. I've gone ahead and put all
the sound effects here. Since this is the
same sound effect repeated over and over. I will go ahead and create a compound clip so
that they can reduce the volume of every sound effect just by reducing it
of the compound clip. I will add a fade out because I think
it fits pretty well. I will reduce this pop sound a bit and then I
will let you here, keep in mind that here we
have a riser at the start. Risers are usually
used in the hook. You will recognize this sound
effect as soon as it plays. Then we have some
paper crumble effect. Every time a subtitle comes in, we have a woh for
this light effect. We have a pop for
the will translate. And then we have this
crumbling paper for the paper in the background
right here. Let's play these. We describe someone's identity. We say, hey, he's honest, he's hard working, he's
a real estate agent. That's how we describe them. So let's translate those. He's honest, He
states the facts. He's hard working. You
complete tasks as faster, faster than expectations you agree to the real estate agent. Someone who represents
buyers and, or sellers in real
estate transactions. All right, that's the identity. But everything that we used
to describe the identity or things the person
does, perfect. We now have our audio set up, our song, and our sound defects. Therefore, we can move
onto transitions.
8. CapCut and viral transitions: We have now almost
completed this creation. We now just need to add the
transitions in this lesson. In fact, you're going to
learn all the ways to add transitions to your videos
and some of the best ones. Let's get straight into it. There are three ways
to add transitions. First one is going into
the transition panel. Here you can choose between
hundreds of animations. Some of the best ones are
in the clitch section, for example, if you add
something like color glitch, this is what happens, please. We say hey, he's honest, he's, and I think I'll
actually keep it. I'll maybe turn duration to
0.3 Let's se how this looks. We say, hey, he's honest,
I really like this. There are also a lot of other bleach transitions
which I really like for now. Let's stick to the other way of adding transitions is by
clicking on the clip, going on animation, then
adding animations in or out. So for example, if I want to
add a faith animation here, I have two ways to do it. One is going on the
black faith animation right here in the
transition panel. So this is what it looks like, that's how we describe
that, just so. Or the other way is
to go on the clip. Animation out, fade out. And there you go
on the next clip, a Ada fade in. And this
is what it looks like. A stadent, that's how
we described that. As you can see, the
text doesn't fade out. If I wanted to fade out, I would have to go
on animation out. Remove the animation as I have
click on this background, go on the text by
holding control. I'll highlight all of the text. Then highlight this
thing as well, always by holding control. Then click G, so I
create a compound clip. Now if I go on
animation and click Fade out, this is
what it looks like. It's hard working. He's
a real estate agent. That's how we act. As you can see,
everything is fading out. And the third way to add animations is by
doing it manually. By manually, I mean you
go right here in the clip and you play with
opacity keyframe so that it slowly disappears. You can, again, recreate
the compound clip. And this doesn't only
apply to opacity, but also to these other kind of transitions that
I will actually use. Now these transitions are going crazy on Tiktok
and Instagram. Everyone is using them. They're
called burn transitions. I have I think around 40 in my editing pack and 40 paper style transitions
like Alia Dal. I highly suggest to check them out and download
everything that you can, and basically you add these
in between the clips. There is already the sound and this is
what it looks like, estate agent, That's
how we describe them. So let's try. Perfect. I will make
a compound clip. I will make a compound clip
of this thing as well, so that the burn
transition goes on top. He's a real estate
agent. That's how we describe them.
So let's translate. That's perfect. We have the burn transition
plus the wooh effect. Now we move onto the paper. I will add another
burn transition. So I'll go again and create
a compound clip right here. I like everything that we have, especially at the start, I'll create a compound clip. And let's see how
this looks like. Honest, he states the
facts, he's hard working. You complete tasks
as fast or faster. Actually, I'll change the burn
transition to another one. I actually realized
I have to lower this a bit. Let's see how
this looks like. Now he's honest, He
states the facts. He's hard working you
complete, perfect. And at the end, I don't think
I will let the transition, I'll let you see sellers in
real estate transactions. All right, that's the identity. But everything that
we used to describe the identity or things
the person does, you don't need any
transition here. You can simply live and hard cut and it's
completely fine. Therefore, we have now analyzed to create a video from scratch. Use text effects, sound effects, audio out to monify audio, fade in, fade outs, transitions. All that kind of good stuff. And I would get into
color grading right away. But I don't want to overwhelm
you with information. And that's why I believe
it's better if we now create another
short from scratch. And I'll create a short
that will directly upload on my Instagram
for everyone to see. And I'll go a little
bit more in depth. And at the end of that,
I will color grade everything and explain to
you how everything works. It is not too hard, you will get it right away. I believe color
grading is one of the most fun things that
there is in video editing. Honestly, I actually love doing color grading and I
think you will too. So, without further ado, let's get into the
second short creation.
9. Another video, media, audio , text and creative thought explained: In this lesson, we will start
creating another short. In this lesson, I
will only present the shorts and the footage
that we have as of right now. And that will leave the
rest to the other lessons. The first thing
that we will do to create a short is click on the nine by 16
aspect ratio so that we have the vertical
format for this subject. I've chosen Luke Belmar that created this interview
slash podcast on a boat. The issue in this
boat was the sound, because as you can hear, there is noise in the
background, it's pretty bad. What is biohacking? Bio
means life packing. Your ability to find your
way around something, your way to find. And we do not like that. What I've done is
exported the audio. Put it in Adobe podcast, which is an AI tool that
is completely free. You just look it
up. Adobe podcast, and it will announce
your audio lites. And now I have this
audio which is completely announced without
any background noise. What is biohacking? Bio
means life packing. Your ability to find your
way around something. Your way to find glitches. So as you can hear, the
audio is now clean. Removed the silences
and stuff like that. And we now have a
42 minute video. First thing that we will
do is resize the clip. So I'll go ahead and scale the clip and put
Belmar in the center. And I'll do this
for all the clips. This process would have
been way easier if you did it before
cutting the clip. However, it's not
that long anyway. You cannot create a compound
clip to reduce the length of the process
because you will lose some quality of the clip. I've just tried, I don't
know why Pka does that. But regardless, we
are now here with the completed zoom
in so that now we have always look
Belmar in the center. And now let's restart
the editing process. The first thing that we're
going to do is go on text auto captions create. I'm now going to go
on text presets. And that we'll use
the texts that I use, as you can see, text for IG
reels. That's what I use. I'll add it and then
I'll manually change the phones and all the
statistics of the subtitles. Just make sure that you're
apply to all so you don't have to do it again
that we uppercase, make it a bit bigger. We add a stroke which is not going to be really
important in this specific short as look belmar as a black shirt so you won't be
able to see it really well. And then we add a low. And as you can see now if
I put them side to side, they're basically the same. I'll go on captions and
I'll make sure that there's only two
words per subtitles. Just by clicking
and pressing Enter. I have now divided the text
into three words, Max. And I'll quickly
show you what we have right now and
what I want to do. What is biohacking? Bio
means life packing. Your ability to find your
way around something. Your way to climb glitches
in the system of bla. What do you do with
these 30 minutes that you stop interacting
with your father? Walk into a 711, go see the type of individuals
that walk in there, what they buy and what they do, and you're going to realize that their habits dictate
their appearance, because those are not the habits of winning successful people. Now do the opposite. Go the next day and
spend those 30 minutes observing people that
you want to resemble. People have winning qualities. Always have that golden
touch and dissect them. Observe them. What is it that
they do that causes this? So here's what I see. When he says bio means life, I will probably
create a little plant that grows in an
animation style. When it gets to acking, I will show either one of
those screens from like enter tap when he says about
the main tricks that kind of stuff or something
relating to clitch, maybe with clitch effects or transitions here when he says, what do you do with
the 30 minutes that they stop interacting
with your phone? I will show a clock spinning
that resembles 30 minutes. And probably a phone getting
away or something similar. When he says walk into a 711, I'll probably show some irreal and maybe an animated person entering here. When he talks about the type of individuals that
look into a 711, I will show probably
a barrel of a fat guy generated with AI because
that's what Balmer means. He's saying that
people don't have good Ebits while
walking into a 711. And when he says what they
buy and what they do, I will make sure that the
fat guy generated by the AI, either as popcorn or Coca Cola, or foods that are usually
linked with bad Ebits, Netflix, stuff like that. Then he says, now
do the opposite. So I'll probably flick
an image of maybe a 711. When he says about
that golden touch, I am thinking about doing something really cool
with color grading, which is getting a finger or a hand basically with the
finger tip that is golden. And then it touches
look Belmar and it becomes completely yellow gold. That color, I think that
would be really great. Dissect them, observe them. What is it that they
do that causes this? You know that we have our ideas. Let's get straight to work. What I usually do with shorts, I first fix the video, so I get all the
clips and then I put music and sound effects
only afterwards.
10. B-roll and pacing of the short: I've gotten the clip set I will use before starting
to add everything, I want to give you a
quick tip If you want to do something like me where you take a clip from a podcast. I highly suggest you, once you have cut the
clip and announced the audio to export whatever you have like I did and then re import it so it's a 43 second video instead
of an hour podcast. Because otherwise your PC is
going to lag unless you have a really good hardware and
this is going to smooth in and make your
work flow faster. We said that here we're
going to add a plant clip. This plant clip was created
using an AI image generator. If you're interested in
learning more about this, I've created a course about a free AI image generator
called Leonard. I, it's on my profile. And then I've taken this image
and put it into Kyber AI, which is another software that creates videos out of images. This is what it created. I do not want to use
this whole video. I want to use it
until around here. So I will cut it and
remove the rest. And then I will check when
I need to make it start. And then right here, look
Belmar says hacking. And that's where this Ic
screen enters in place. I will check for a moment where there is a lot
of stuff written on screen because I don't really like this part where
it's still right. I'll go around here. Control control. I'll take a big chunk. 12 seconds, remove
everything else, make this bigger centered. Then I will click on
the blend mode screen. The black part of the
screen isn't shown. I will add a fade in
animation of about 1 second. Bio means life packing, your ability to find your
way around something. This is good. I want the
text to go faster though, so I'll put the speed
at around three X. Then I want it to end when the plant scene ends right here. Bio means life packing. Your ability to find
your way around something here where
it says glitches, I will create a
really cool effect, which you will see in a second. So first we import this amazing green
screen of the matrix. Then I will put
screen once again. Then I will copy this clip
and paste it right above. I will go on cut out
and click auto cut out. The cup cut automatically cuts out the person
in the screen, for example, Balmer
in this case. And then I will put this
above the matrix clip. And let's see how this
looks like on wait to find glitches in
the system of bla. Do you, do I want this
to fade in as well? I think 1 second
is think you wait to find glitches
in the system Ab. I think this is perfect.
I've also gone ahead and added a bit of fade out
so that it's more smooth. The ending and the key
frame at the start on the scale at 03:17 and at
the end at five under. So this is the final
effect way to find glitches in the system of
Blake, as you can see. Constantly zooms in, Fades
in and fades out perfect. And now Luke says, what do
you do with this 30 minutes? So we will add the clock here. I will make it really
big and I will read the same thing when a copy
paste the clip cut out, auto cut out so that the
clock is behind him. And I will also add a screen so that the clock
doesn't cover the couch. So this is what it
looks like with these 30 minutes that you stop interacting
with your phone, which is decent, but I don't like how it
appears from nowhere. What we will do is make the clips slightly longer
and start a bit earlier. We add a key frame at the start. We put it down here. We also put a key frame
monopasity at 50. And then we go right here. I want a key frame
monopasity at 100. A bit further. I want the
clock to be right here. Then I will click out
K to open the graphs. Again, if you want a detailed
course on key frames, I made one specifically, we go on position and size. We go on the Y, which is the
main thing that we changed. We click on Potter
Curve, here and here, and this is what it looks like, too bad, as you can see,
comes from the bottom. But I also wanted to
get out like that. I will copy this key frame and go at the end
and add it here. Then I will also
copy this keyframe, and I will add it around here
when I wanted to disappear. Let's see how this looks. Interrupt, I'd say it's perfect. In fact, I'll also
move this interrupt. This is good. I just
wanted to start a bit earlier and this is
the final result. A bla. What do you do with
these 30 minutes that you stop interacting with your
phone, which is pretty good? I will now close again
with Alt K. You can also, if you want, click right here with the right click and click, click this, whatever you prefer. And now he says
walking to a 711, I got a 711 right here. Then here at the 711, I will zoom completely
at the left here, all the key frames
again and go at the end and another frame, but this time it's going
to be on the right. So this is what it looks like. Walk it to a 711, it goes two fast. I'll go right here
again in the graphs. And smoothing it
out so that it's more smooth at the, at the end. At the start, it should
be faster in the middle. Let's see, dear father,
walk it to a 711. Go see that looks way better. I'll close this key firm
animation once again. And now when he says the type of individuals that walk
in there, what they buy. And here I have prepared this
image again, thanks to AI. I will zoom in like
this so that you can't really see this remote which was generated on accident. I will put a keyframe right
here on the position scale. And I will move it
like this around here. I've created this key frame. I will go around here and create another key frame which these times is
completely on the right. So this is what it looks like. Go see the type of individuals
that walk in there. What they buy a
smooth the animation with this auto core feature 11, Go see the type of individuals
that walk in there. Perfect, I will close it. And then from right here it says what they buy
and what they do. I have two other images
that are created. One which is a burger which will replace pasta here like this, and another one which is a cook. Regarding the first image, it was created on Leonardo where you can remove
backgrounds freely. That's why it doesn't
have background. This one, unfortunately,
it was created on Dali, which cannot remove backgrounds. However, I asked for a green
screen so that we can use the chroma key feature and
remove this green right here, which can give us
a decent result. I will put it right here. I will go right here
where Luke says by right here will add a
keyframe on everything. And then I'll go
backwards and add a keyframe on everything
but make the burger small. And here what it will look like this as you, so it gets big. I also want to add a key
frame a bit later and then make this one with a bit of a bigger scale
so that it has a pulp. That doesn't mean looks better. We are going to have to once again open the
keyframe animation. As you can see here we are
on the scale function. I will click auto
curve on everything. But this time I think I will
need to modify it by end. Let's see, I walk in there, what they buy and what I mean, it's decent, but
it's not the best. So first thing that I will do is remove every key frame
regarding position. And let's see how this look down walk in there, what they buy. Okay, it's not too bad,
but I want to change it. So I will modify this endle, I will move this key
frame a bit closer. Okay, I will go right
here where there is key frame actually
I'll move it a bit and then I will
add opacity to zero keyframe and
the plasty to 100. And this should look better
now that walk in there, what they buy and what, It's a bit fast right here, he says by, whenever he says by the burger appears individuals
that walk in there, what they buy and
what they do and now I just need to
sink to do do that. It's pretty simple. I
will go right here. Copy all of the key
frames so that I don't have to do the
animation by holding control and then eating C and then going at
the first frame of the ring paste and
then adding it. Whenever he says
two, which is here, I will sink it. Then I will simply change
the position so it's there. Also I need to change the scale. Will raise this and raise this. And raise the
position around here. Raise the scale a bit more. They do a bit of certs, check it out what they do. Okay, this shouldn't be good. So I will close the
keyframe animation. Let's take a look. You
will that walk in there. What they buy and what they do. Okay, I think it's pretty good. I'll reduce the duration
of the clips so. They don't go and look
Val Mar's face here where he says their habits
dictate their behavior. I will add the Netflix
hand here and then I will do the same trick
again with the auto cut out. I will lower the volume
of the Netflix here, add the screen overlay so
that the black disappears. And then I'm also going
to make this longer, is that their habits
dictate their appearance. Because those are
not the habits of. I don't want the Netflix
logo to be this long, actually, so I'll cut it. Their habits dictate their
appearance around here. And then I will add
a fade out as well. Appearance, their appearance,
which is perfect on 0.5 I will cut these instead of needed here
where it says winning, I will add this glowing icon which I have in my editing pack. I will remove something, title of winning
successful people. As soon as you sing opposite, I will cut the clip
and right where he finishes I will
mirror the clip. So this is what happens now. Do the opposite
as clip mirrored. And actually I want this
to be a bit longer. So I will remove
this and increase it for the next effect. I've downloaded this video from Youtube of a hand
topping a fake screen, and you can use that to
touch look in this case. And once he gets
touched by this end, which I will make sure that
appears from nowhere here, I will make sure that
it becomes gold. Once a touch happens, which is right here, which is right here,
this is the frame. I will cut the clip. Cut the clip right here as well. And then I will put this above. I will put a copy of
this clip here as well. And then I will freeze the
clip in this exact spot. There we go, just like this. And then I will get to
color grading and making this yellow to make
look of a gold color. The first thing that I'll
do since I've frozen the clip is the activate
the one that is below. Otherwise, as you can
see right here there is a double look
that is slightly moving in the backgroum and we don't want that,
I'll disable this. How do I change
this color to gold? Well, it is not too hard. The first thing that I'll do
is go Cut Out and click on Auto Cut Out so that the
color only applies to him. Then I will copy the
clip and paste it and remove the auto
cut out from this one. And keep the auto cut out here. Then the activate this one
since it is not needed. What happens is here I
have the full clip here. I only have Luke as you can see, full clip on Luke right
here here is full clip. I put this finger on the top layer so
that it can be seen. Then I need to
change the color of look to yellow
because it's gold. I want to export the clip and analyze it in a
different project. But in order to do that, I will need to remove this hand, which is the end
of the other guy that is Ming, a podcast. To do that, I will
highlight everything here and zoom in Look, and do the same right here. I will zoom in at 01:40 as
I did with the other clips. So this is what happens. As you can see the end appears. He clicks and he stops. I will remove the subtitle
as it is interfering. Now I will remove the background by removing these two
clips so that there is sport steel frame
because it's only an image. And export then I only want to export to Lou as a
black and white image. To do that, I will disable the rest of
the images and videos. I will go on adjustment and
remove all the colors again. I will go in the details
of color grading later. As of right now, you
just need to know this. And then I will export steel frame as a black
and white image export. I will now re import, Make sure that it is below the hand video and the
layer this one, okay? And then I will
add this gradient, reduces length, scale it
up and click on Overlay. This basically makes him yellow. Although I want to improve this by improving the
yellow here and here. I have gone ahead and
reactivated the backgrounds. And now we'll go
ahead and create a compound clip with
the overlay and look so that the end
remains of pink color. I will click it once again, the layer two, and
as you can see now, the end is of a normal color and look becomes yellow perfect. I can also add a
background here. I will auto cut out once again. I will now add this
gold background. I will make it slightly
smaller like this. I will put it in the last layer, actually in the middle, and
this is what it looks like. Always have that golden
touch and dissect them, have that golden touch. I will also add this
great background. I will click on screen so
that the black disappears, reduce its opacity, and put it between Luke and
the gold right here. So we now have Luke
the grade and gold. I will also add an
effect to the goal. I think normal blur
will be good enough. Reduce it a bit and let's
see how this looks like. Always have that golden
touch grid is moving, and I don't think I
really like that. So I will click Freeze. Remove the rest I need
to layer correctly. Once again, this hand, so this is what it looks like. In the end, you
want to resemble. Always have that golden touch and dissect them.
Observe them. What is? I think it's pretty
good. Now, last thing that I want to add
is something here, as there are almost 10 seconds without anything for this part, I've gone ahead and
taken an icon from icons eight.com which is one of the best sites
for free icons. I'll put it above the subtitle Observing people that
you want to resemble. In this lesson, we added all
the media that we needed. In the next one, we're
going to add music, sound effects,
transitions, effects. Afterwards, there will be the
color grading masterclass.
11. Music, sound effect, transitions and effects : In this lesson, we
will fix the text, add music, sound effects, transitions, and overall do everything except color
grading. Let's get into it. Let's now fix the text. By fixing the text, I mean changing
most of the colors of the text because
white text is boring. But before doing that,
we will check that every single text is
synced correctly. How do we do that?
It's pretty simple. We go at the start of
the text and we check if you look is saying bio, for example, in this
case right away. And it doesn't wait.
Boman perfect. And now we check for Life. Life perfect. Again, hacking packing. I'll do this for
every single text and then we'll start
changing colors. I've gone ahead and
sync every text, and now let's look at
what we have until now. What is biohacking? Bio
means life packing. Your ability to find your
way around something, your way to climb, glitches in the system of life. What do you do with
these 30 minutes that you stop interacting
with your phone? Walk into a 711, go see the type of individuals
that walk in there, what they buy and what they do. And you're going to realize that their habits dictate
their appearance, because those are not the habits of winning successful people. Now do the opposite. Go the next day and
spend those 30 minutes observing people that
you want to resemble. Always have that golden
touch and dissect them. Observe them. What is it that
they do that causes this? Okay, this is what we have. Now let's get to
working on the text. We'll work on the
transitions later. So first we go on text. And to change the
colors of simple words, you simply light them, go on color, and change
it to whatever you want. I will change Bayaking to aqua color because I think
it fits pretty well. And I will change Bayo to
the same color of the aqua. I will go here, copy the X of the color with control
C. Then go right here, Highlight this going
color and copy the X. We have the same
bo here, and here. I've done that. I will now
remove the Apply to All. Because if I were to click
Apply to All and change the color of this text
to whatever color, it would affect all the
colors of the video. And I don't want that happening. So click control
Z, which is undo, Remove applies to all and go on the green color because
life has that green color. Then King I will use a
red color for acking, as I think that could work well in order to create
contrast with the green. When I say glitches in, I will not change any color. But I will add an animation
on the text loop. Means that happens the whole time that the text is on screen. What better animation
than the color glitch? Let's, looks like you climb glitches in
the system of black. What do you That's really good. Then once it says the system, I will change the
system color to orange. I will change once
again, life to green. I will use the same green
that I used before. I will copy this and then
go right here and copy it. I'll change phone to Cy black. I think I'll go with this color. Yep, I will change individuals to pink because I
think it can fit well. I will remove this text and this one as a stuff is
appearing on screen. And also this one, I will change Ab red because the
abbits are negative, and red is usually red colored. There's also the Netflix. Then I will change
habits to Aqua. It doesn't need to be the exact same that I've used before. Then I will change dissect. I'm thinking of something like
below which we didn't use. Let's see how this look.
Slow, it's not too bad. I'll stick with it. Now let's change this kind of
icons that we have used. Let's improve them. I now want to add the angel
effect to this icon. But if I do it like this, it is going to
apply also to look, and if I merge them together
as a compound clip, it is not going to apply. What I will do is it control Z. Then I will copy them and
paste them right here. I'll reduce the strength of the angel effect
that around here. And then I will
export seal frame. And then I will reimport
it exactly here, The screen blend mode, so that all the black
thing disappears. And remove this one. And now we have this cool
light effect perfect. Now let's add a bit
of edge glue to this icon with the edge glow
effect strength of the max. And we are good. So this is what we have now
with the colored subtitles. What is biohacking? Bio
means life packing. Your ability to find
your way around something way to find glitches
in the system of bla. What do you do with these
30 minutes that you stop interacting with your
phone? Walk into a 711. Go see the type of individuals
that walk in there, what they buy and what they do. And you're going to realize that their habits dictate
their appearance, because those are not the habits of winning successful people. Now do the opposite. Go the next day and
spend those 30 minutes observing people that
you want to resemble. Always have that golden
touch and dissect them. Observe them. What is it that
they do that causes this? I believe that this is perfect. And now we'll move all the
captions below Luke's chain because I think it's the best
spot to take them and copy the position for all of them. Now that you have set
up the subtitles, let's move onto the transitions and then we'll move
onto the audio here. I will add a burn transition, find your way around here. I will go into transition panel, go in glitch, and add
a color transition. To do that though, I will have to remove the truck of magnet, reduce the length of this
clip, put it right here, and add the color glitch
like this means life. As you can see, this happens. I will also add a
glitch effect right here with the king
and this stuff. And the effect is called fuzzy. Like this packing. Your ability to is too strong, though I will reduce the
strength a bit and the speed. I will leave colors, which is called
chromatic aberration. The same packing,
your ability to find your way around something
way to find glitches. I will also add a bit
of color glitch here. Packbility, I will add the fuzzy effect right here when
he says glitches. And also add the color glitch
effect to find glitches. To create that glitch effect, I will now add another
effect which is called rebounds wing to
this glowing icon. So as you can see, it moves
of winning successful people. I now want to create a
compound clip with everything, but I cannot because there
is already a compound clip. What I will do is copy
this compound clip, paste it at the end. Then go right here. Click
Export steel frame. And then I will re import it. Remove the other one,
the auto cut outs. And then I will delete this one. Now as you can see,
the auto cut didn't do a good job as it deleted this
part, but it's no problem. Since we're going
to add another clip without even removing
the background, we're simply going on mask horizontal and flipping
this like this. Now I still need to put
this on the fifth layer. Now everything should look good. Always have that golden touch. I can now finally create a
compound clip with everything. I will also create
a compound clip before remove this part, move this upwards, and then at the transition straight
with the color glitch. And this is what it looks like. Always have that golden
touch and perfect. We can now move onto
the audio part. I've gone ahead and
chosen the music. This is a song that you hear pretty often,
these kind videos. What is biohacking? Bio means life. You
probably know it. I will go with a volume around 19.5 after listening to it all. There is only a slight
issue right here where the Netflix logo sings
with a beat drop. That's a problem.
I'll let you hear it. You're going to realize
that their habits, she starts singing,
it's not the best. Therefore, what I'll
do is go around here. Place a key frame at the drop. Place another key frame when the Netflix
sound effect ends, and a another key frame. Then make this a bit quieter so that the volume
here is at a certain value. It goes a bit down and
then it goes up again and it's pretty smoth as
you can hear walk in there, what they buy and what they do. And you're going to realize
that their habits dictate their appearance
because those are not the habits which is perfect. And now we just have to
insert sound effects. I've gone ahead and
imported sound effects, now you can find them
all in my assets pack. I will start by
adding a glitch right here where there is the
glitch transitions. O means life packing, your ability to find your work. I've also gotten this
sound effect from Youtube. I have downloaded a video that add the sound
effect for free. There's plenty of these
sounds on Youtube. I will lower the volume a lot. Here is some what it
sounds like to find glitches in the system of life. What do you do with
which is perfect, since there are all
these green letters? I will now add a fast Woohre, which fits with the going
up with these 30 minutes A. And then I'll copy
and paste it here. Once it goes down stop, I will add a normal wooh
here for the 72711. Go see the T. I will then add two
pop sound effects for the burger and
soda appearing, what they buy and what
they do for this gleache. Once again, I will copy the sound effect that I had
at the start right here. Just have that golden touch and dissect them, observe them. What is it that they
do that causes this? Then as a final touch, I will add this
gear sound effect, which is one of the greatest
sound effects ever. I will add it at the start. What is biohacking? It always fits well here. I'll add another transition because I believe it fits well, even though I didn't had it before when I was
doing transitions. I'll add a camera shutter here, which is the noise of camera
once it takes a photo. Then I'll add a white
screen right here, a fade out animation. I'll scale it up. I will put it above
everything here, and this is how it
looks like they do and you're going to
realize that their habits. Then I will add a bone
crux sound effect right here when
it says resemble. And even though
this sound effect doesn't fit with the narrative, he says that it
should impersonate someone and you're using a
bone crack sound effect. This is one of
those sound effects that doesn't really
matter where you put it and it is going
to be a good addition. You want to resemble, always have that golden touch. As you heard, it fits well because it's a bone
cracking sound. And bo crack is such a
general sound effect when it comes to video editing that fits well in
every scenario. It may also be because we
got used to it because of the usage on Tiktok and
Instagram and stuff like that. But the fact remains it works. In the next lesson, we are going to get into color grading. It is going to be really in depth lesson
on color grading. We will not only do color
grading for this video, but we will also do color grading for other
images and videos. Because the color grading
Pca features are amazing, both filters and manual
adjustments. I'll see you there.
12. Color grading Masterclass 1: The basics of adjustment layers and filters: Let's now talk about
color grading. In cap Cut, you
achieve color grading with two tools which are
adjustment and filters. Let's focus on adjustment first. Let's go over, for
example, the first clip. You can add an adjustment and change the colors of
this clip in two ways. One, by creating an
adjustment like this, an adjustment layer
which is yellow, or by clicking on the clip
and going on adjustment. Let's start by creating an adjustment layer.
What's the difference? Well, the difference is that
if you adjust right here, the only thing that
is going to get affected is this exact video. Instead, the adjustment layer, every clip below the adjustment
layer will be affected. Let me give you a quick example. If I reduce the saturation of this picture down to -50 the image becomes
black and white. This image right here, the
plant is still colorful. Instead, if I put the
saturation back up, and instead I put down the saturation of the
adjustment layer. As you can see, the clip once again becomes
black and white and the plant also
becomes black and white as it is below
the adjustment layer. It. Let me disable this quick. It is the same for the things
that are written here. Although they were green, they are below the adjustment layers. They will have this black
and white effect instead. If I go right here, the
image becomes colorful again and the written things
become colorful again. And now we get onto
the second part. Why is color grading important? Well, color grading
is especially important for barrels
like this one. In this case, Luke Balmer was on a boat with not a
good of a lighting. And probably if you're recording some footage as
well in your house, you do not have a
professional light set up if you do props to you, but most people don't, and there is no need for expensive cameras and light
when you have color grading. So here's how I would
modify this image. First, I would not modify this image only as I
have to add the same amount of color correction
to this image and to all these other images as they are the same footage
from the same boat, that they require the
same corrections. So to do that, I will
create an adjustment layer. Let's start from
the basic panel of the adjustment layer and let me explain to
you how this works. I will make the player panel bigger so that you can see better the corrections
that I'm going to do. Let's start with
the temperature. The temperature defines if you want the colors
in your image warmer, so you pull it to the
yellow or colder, the hue simply gives more
purple or green to the image. This is not a feature
that is commonly used. Then there is saturation, which is a really
useful feature. First, if you want to make
your images black and white, of course, But also to add color as you
can see right here. I don't want to
exaggerate too much. I think something like
this works for his image. The way I suggest you
to learn color grading, apart from a lot of practice, I sometimes don't remember what a precise feature does
because I confuse them. Sometimes what I do is I simply put it to the max and
they remember what it does. For example, the
brightness is pretty easy. It increases the brightness
of your image As you can see. In this case, there is no really need.
Maybe a slight bit. Then there is contrast which improves the
contrast on your image. But in this case,
I will not use it because this is a
dark environment. And in dark environment, this is what happens where you use contrast is pretty bad. Even using a bit, it doesn't really work out. Then there is highlight
which doesn't change much the
picture or the video, it just changes a
bit. The lightning. As you can see, I usually
link this default. Then there is shadow,
which allows you to remove shadows and
make the image brighter, or improve shadows and
make the image darker. Then there is illumination, which is slightly
different than brightness. Because as you can see,
brightness works on subjects. Meanwhile, illumination
works on the whole picture. As you can see,
there are effects. Sharpening is one
of the best effects of the whole color
correction panel. It sharpens the corners and
the lines As you can see, if you remove it, all of a sudden it looks like the
image is blurred out. Usually I put this
even up to 35, 50, something like that. Then there are particles,
which, as you can see, add this kind of noise to the image, which
I'd already want. Then there is fade,
which basically adds this layer as you
can see the image. Then the vignette,
as you can see, vignette around, If you
pull it to the right, it's a black vignette. If you pull it to the left, it's a white vignette. And this is the basics of
this adjustment panel. For now, I will
regulate that once you're done with your
color corrections. If you want, you can
save it as a preset. Therefore, if you're creating videos for your
Youtube channel and you always record with the
same lightning set up, the preset is going to
save you a bunch of time, and then we move on to HSL. Hsl allows you to modify every
single color individually. For example, if it is short, I don't want the red color. I can turn it down,
and as you can see, everything that has a shade
of red is disappeared. If I do the same with orange, the image is going to
become black and white. Because the main colors,
as you can see here, the main colors are
Orange in the face, Red on the lips here is a
bit of red here as well. Instead, if I remove the blue, the only thing that
is going to get affected is the
shirt that was blue. Meanwhile, if I remove the
green, nothing really changes. You can also modify the
other values for each color, but they're not
really that useful. Then we have curves, which looks really scary. I know I will get
more into detail in curves later as we
don't need them right now. Then there are color wheels
which are a pro feature, so I will not explain them, although they are really
complicated and even though they give more freedom than the
basic and core spanel, you can do basically everything
with curves and basics. I'll also spend a second
talking about LUTs. Luts are pre made
adjustment layers basically that you can import from Google or wherever you
want to download them. I don't personally have any. I usually make all the color corrections myself
for two reasons. First, most of the
LUTs aren't free. Second, I genuinely like to
color or correct videos, therefore I just do it myself. Now let's reduce this once
again to the normal height. What I will do here is create a big compound clip for
the audio so that it doesn't take too much space in my timeline and we can
work on the video. Now, let's modify
this a bit further. Usually the best way
to color correct is to try and see if it works. For example, if I
improve the temperature. Do I like how it looks?
I'm not sure about it. Therefore, I'll go
back to the original. But I don't like this either. I think this is now too cold. What I will do is I will find a way in the middle around here, and in fact is a
really good color. I will also add a
little bit of vignette, as I really like
this effect here, just like this, you
cannot see it on the top, of course, and that's because there is
already the black sky. Now I think I'm
satisfied with this. I cannot really do much more because contrast
ruins everything. I will improve the
highlighting a bit so that his
arm is more clear. And then I think
I'm done with this. Therefore, I will make it the
length of the whole video. There we go. Now that I
have my adjustment layer, I will go ahead and
cut it right here. And then he remove this part because
there is no look here. Then here where
there are two looks, I will copy and paste.
Because I will need to. Then I will also
need two right here. I will also copy. Then I will cut
it here and here. One more cut here and
then remove this part. Will now highlight this and all the
adjustments which have the Luke Belmar on
the main timeline. There we go. And
then highlight all of these always by
holding control. And then click I
have my compound. I will do the same right here. Hold control Al, here, here. I will lose my transition. I will add it once again. And then here we have
already a compound clip. I will uncompound clip
this and then I will compound everything
together. Now it's perfect. Every look Belmar has the color correction
as you can see. Now to finish this
lesson on the basics, I will talk to you
about filters. Filters are basically pre made adjustment
layers from cap cut. These ones are really good. I will give you a couple
that are the best ones. Clear two is my favorite one when it comes to
making stuff warm. As you can see there is more saturation and stuff like that. You can use this and adjust the strength as you
like even with key frame. Then there is a black and white which is in my opinion,
better than saturation. I will use the black and
white on the fat guy because on Luke Belmar you
can't really see the black and white as most of
the images already black. But here as you can see
there is the black. But there's also these kind of shadows which are different from a normal black and white filter like
black and white tree. As you can see, this is
normal black and white. Instead with black
and white one, you can see that the stuff
is more highlighted, the black is more enhanced. I really like this
black and white, and I highly suggest you
to use this instead of a normal saturation
to zero like this. This doesn't look the best. I will also give you an amazing filter for cold
colors, which is conifer. Con, conifer cone is
absolutely amazing. I will use this filter on the
fat guy and look at this. This is without the filter. This is with the filter. As you can see, the
blue and cold colors are really, really enhanced. Meanwhile, the other colors
aren't really that good. But if you have a picture or a video where you
have a lot of blue, green, especially purple,
these kind of colors, it is going to be an
amazing filter for that. If you have a majority
of word colors, I suggest you to use clear tube, the one I showed earlier. If you want to make
something black and white, black and white
one works amazing. These are my top three filters
they use for everything. I will wait for you with the gradient and
overlay color grading, which is a bit more advanced. But I will guide
you, don't worry.
13. Color grading Masterclass 2: Curves and gradients: Let's get to color correction. This is an old edit that I had created for one
of my old channels. Basically, I had
to color correct some clips from to
this for example, which as you can see,
looks way cleaner. There is the black fade here, the shirt is way better. In the second picture, overall, the brightness and the
contrast is way better. You can see how the
characteristics from the background
that is blurred out. And then also going to this, where as you can see, the colors are insane compared to this one. And I'll show you
live how to do this. And to do this we will
use gradient overlays. You can find this in my pack. I have around 18. I'm pretty sure I found them on canvas and I just use them all. How do these overlays work? The overlay is nothing but
this kind of shape where on one side it's darker and
on one side is brighter. You can scale it up
to your preference. If you scale it up like
this, for example, you will have a
very dark section here and a very
bright section here. If you scale it up more, it's going to be more balanced. If you move this down, it's going to be darker. That's the basic concept
behind gradients, but we do them for
color correction. Well, it's fairly simple. You click here and
you use overlay. That's why they're
called overlays. And as you can see, it goes from something like this to
something like this with darker contrast on the bottom and brighter
light on the top. Which is really good compared
to something like this. You see the difference
which is getting already closer to what
we had already here. To improve this, we will
not only use the overlay, that's just going to
help, we also need to change in the adjustment
section settings. For example, in this case I will raise the contrast a
bit and the brightness. And as you can
see, we're already getting closer to
what we have here. But the face, as
you can see here, is colder than here. Here, it looks brighter,
more saturated. And in fact, we have to reduce the saturation by around ten. And as you can see,
it looks way better. But we will also reduce
the temperature, which really helps when
you have the cold colors. As you can see, it's already
looking almost the same. I also like to add sharpness
as it sharpens edges, as you can see the end and all the lines in the
shirt look defined now. And then to add the final touch to make the colors
darker, For example, the hair that here is darker and all the
colors in general, we will use a filter that
I've talked to you about. Conifer con. I usually
put the strength around alpha because
if you exaggerate, as you can see, the atmosphere
becomes really dark. Instead, like this, the
atmosphere is brighter. And to finally adjust
the brightness, we will play with the curves. To understand and explain stuff like this,
which are curves. I usually explain it with extremes so that it's
easy to understand. If you put this
curve to the top, it becomes really bright. If you put it to the bottom, it becomes really dark. Therefore, if you tweak
it a bit like this, you're going to get
brighter points, darker points, and
brighter points. However, for our
color correction, we don't want something bright, but we want something dark. What we will do is go
dark, bright, dark. I will reduce the
brightness here. Announce the dark.
As you can see, we have basically
the same image. This is slightly
darker because we went a bit farther
with the lines. There we go. Now
it looks better. Now let's move on to the
other color correction. This one transformed this
image into this one. For this one, I've
gone ahead and taken the exact
same frame so that we can recreate the
exact same color grade and liquid it with this one. Because these two instances were taken from the same video, but in different moments, the light was
slightly different. Instead here it's
completely the same. So we'll recreate
it step by step. We will restart with the
overlay just like this, and then I will simply
add the Conifer con. As you can see, I
would have gone ahead and changed temperature
and such like this, maybe like we did
on the other image, but there isn't really a reason
because I think this one looks better with
the face more red. I'll go ahead and click
undo on both the changes. And as you can see, the image
is exactly the same here. We don't even need to go into the adjustment
panel to do anything. We could add some
sharpened edges like this, which would make it
look a bit better. But as you can see, the hair, I don't really like it. I think it's too bright. Sharpen the edges, therefore I prefer something like this. Here I have taken some of
the backgrounds that I have in my editing pack because
we will edit them right now, as I want to show you how to change color of any
background to anything. To do this, we will use
gradients once again. Again, everything that I'm using can be found in my editing pack, so don't worry about it.
So how do we do this? We have, for example, this black and white background, okay? And we want to add our red
pink slash orange overly. How do we blend it correctly? Well, it depends
on what we want. For example, if we want simply the lines of the
background to be orange, we can click this overlay. Although the better way to do
this is clicking on screen, which will create orange
and here red lines. Meanwhile, if we want to give
also color to the white, we can use the darken feature. A darken feature takes
every color that is darker in this image and
puts it on this one. In fact, as you can see,
all the black lines are still here because they are darker than the
red orange background. Meanwhile, since the white is
lighter than those colors, it is going to disappear. Once we have done that, we
maybe don't like how it looks. We can zoom in so
that there is more orange or we could
reduce the opacity so, so that you can notice it less, for example,
something like this. Or you could also
use a steel color, like an image of pink. In this case, for example, we can use a blue gradient
for this other one. Again, you could use the dark end feature to do
something like this. Although you can
always play with all the features and find
out which one works best. And you can reduce the
opacity if you want, or you can zoom in because
maybe you want in more blue like this or more
black, you can decide. And then we move on to the kind of backgrounds and we'll also add a grid for this kind of backgrounds we can use,
for example, overlay. And as you can see, we will have our gold background like this. I suggest to zoom in and
make it more yellow. I believe that these
yellow backgrounds are absolutely beautiful. And then we move on to the grid, which I've used also in one
of my introductory videos, where basically you
can add the overlay, and as you can see it
becomes golden, dark. You can zoom in, zoom out, make it yellow, make it
darker, whatever you want. And that's how you use
overlay ingredients to color grade if you want. You could also export the video, and in this case the
only exported a frame, but it's the same
with the video, and basically you
go on adjustment. Once the clip is exported, you can play with the color
grading and add saturation. Remove it some pink. Maybe since the
background is pink, you can maybe add
some temperature, make it brighter, make it dark, curved, whatever you like. With this kind of knowledge, you can create
infinite backgrounds which are completely
custom and unique. Because you can
change all the colors with every gradient, everything. And then the next lesson, we will also explore the black and white features and overall just give a revise
of the whole color grading.
14. Color grading Masterclass 3: Black and White color grading, 3rd short creation: Now create together a type of short form content which has been extremely viral
in the last months, especially on Instagram reels. This video is from Wvosen. He currently has 1
million followers and his reels are motivational. How does he do them? Well,
it's extremely simple. It's an AI. Voice recorded
some music in the background, auto captions and stock
footage color corrected. Only thing that you need
to learn for these videos are color correction in
black and white basically. And I will explain
to you right now. But first I want you to watch the video so you know
what we are talking about. This is a motivational reel. If you start today in two weeks, you'll feel stronger
in one month. You'll notice changes
in two months. Your family and friends will notice in three to four months. Everyone will notice
in five to six months. Everyone will ask how. Let's start with the captions. Let's go with some
auto captions Create. I will now go ahead
and choose Single, which is the font that
is used by this guy. I will put subtitles
in the middle, reduce the font size a bit, and then disable the real quick to see if everything works. This is perfect. Now I'll extract the audio
so that we have to audio remove the clips and
I will import some clips. I've now gone ahead and added some clips which are
free stop footage found online mostly on Pexels.com but also on Youtube
and other platforms. Therefore, we currently
have a video which is this one with the auto captions. The footage we just
need to color, create everything to do that. I'll start by going on
filters and getting the filter I talked about earlier which is
black and white one. I will adjust the strength
before setting any clip, I will create an adjustment
layer which will remove all the saturation
of the whole video. Why? Because we do
not want any color. Because if I start to reduce the black and white
intensity of the filter, there is going to be some color. However, I don't want any. Regardless of how much the filter adds contrast
and stuff like that, I do not want any color. Therefore, I will create this adjustment layer that goes throughout the whole video and I'll start
editing from there. Now this black and
white looks good. However, I want to reduce the intensity. I
think around here. Let's see if we can
also do something in the adjustment to optimize
this even further. Of course, any of the U, temperature or saturation
will not work because we have created this
adjustment layer. Therefore, we can focus
on the brightness. I'll add a bit and a
bit of illumination. I'll also add some shadows, and not much contrast in the image as the filter
is already giving it. I will sharpen
around 25 I think, which looks perfect, and
move on to the next image. Let's try and add this
filter and see how it looks. It is probably going to
look good, in fact it does. Now let's add a bit of brightness and
illumination as we did earlier and make a bit more shadows
and sharpen everything. I'd say still around 25. Then we go on to
the next clip and create this black
and white again. I will again at some brightness
and some illumination. And then turn the shadow down. I will keep the sharpness
a bit lower this time because I think
it's too much. If I is it I'll keep
it to around 15. Then I'll move on to the
next one, black and white. It's better with the filter. And then I'll go right here
at the bit of brightness. Bit of illumination
and the shadow, and a slight bit of contrast. Now we'll move on to
the sharp En not much. I just want to see a bit of
highlight here on the edge. Then let's move on
to the next clip. Filter looks good again. I will add a bit of brightness
again and illumination. And then reduce the shadows. Too much illumination. Okay, then I'll add
a bit of sharpness. I think I can add more on this. Yeah, I really like how it looks on the street
compared to this. I think all the
lights look better. Then I'll go here, a filter once again,
which looks good. Just brightness,
illumination and the shadow, then just a bit of sharpness to see a bit of white on the edges. I think here you can
notice it slightly, but I don't want to exaggerate. Then, there is the last one. Let's try and make this, well, let's play this one, because
there are lightnings. I'd like to improve the brightness so that we
can see the lightnings, not the illumination,
the only brightness. Let's see how this
looks. How this looks, absolutely beautiful. Then I will create
another adjustment layer which uses the vignette effect. I will see on which
clips it looks good. Usually looks good on
almost every clip, but I'll keep it at 25 here. I don't really like it. I'll move to the next one here. I do actually like it, therefore I'll keep it here. I don't like it
because otherwise the lights don't have that much brightness
as you can see. Therefore, I will cut
it here and remove it. Let's check here. I
really like it here. Otherwise the image
will be too bright. I'll keep it here. Let's
go on the next one here. It is not too bad, but at the same time I
like some light. What I will do is reduce it to around ten so that you
can slightly see it, but it's not too much. Now, move onto this one where
I don't actually like it. I'd rather not having
it because I like the bright sky here
as we are going towards the end and there
are about to be lightnings. And then at the end, we will leave it
without, of course, because there are the lightnings
exploding in brightness. And I want the
image to be divided between the bright side
and the dark side, which I believe creates
a really cool effect. And that's how you
create a posing edit.
15. Congratulations for completing the course, here's more!: Congratulations on
finishing this course. I just want you to know that now you are really good at cap Cut. If you've watched
the whole course, this means that you've
enjoyed this course. That's why I want to let
you know that I have also another two courses that you can see on screen which
are on cap cut. One is a short masterclass
on key frames, and I also have an amazing, extremely
advanced masterclass. We will talk about trade
and all of that cool stuff. Now, before you
move on on one of those amazing courses as well, it would be in the
world if I could leave a review to let me know what was good about this course and if there is something
that could have improved. So feel free to do that, and I wish you an
amazing learning.
