If you're ready, let's get started with the first lesson. 2. Getting Started With Canva: Welcome. In this video, I want to give you guys an introduction to the Canva platform. Canva is a graphic design tool that you can use to create social media content, presentations, and other types of designs. Canvas, 100% free to get started with. As you can see right here, I have a free account right here, but Cava does offer a 30 day trial of the app version where you're going to get access to all the tools, including the paid tools. Once you create an account with Canva, then you log in. This is what you're going to see right here, right here for you. You can see canvas suggesting some of the designs that we can create. Right here, as you can see right here, you can create documents, whiteboards, presentations, social media content, videos and websites. You can create landing pages and designs related to websites. If you scroll down here, let me just come right here and scroll down, you can see some of the designs that are made. Right here says recent designs. If you watch the introduction of this course right here, you can see that this is the presentation that I used. I use Campa for all my online courses and creating the presentations for them. This right here is a Youtube terminal. You can scroll down here, You can see this right here is a terminal for my online courses, another Youtube Uminol. This is a Pinterest design. I haven't created a vision board using Canva. This right here is an earbook that I'm working on. I literally use Cava for all my designs. Right here, when you come over here to Cava and you want to create a design, the first thing you want to do is come over here and click on Create a Design. Click there. Right here. You want to search for your design. Let's search for Instagram. Right here. Instagram, okay. So you can see we have some results right here. We have the Instagram portrait mode. You can see the dimensions right here. Right here, we have this Instagram Post square, this is the one we're going to be using. So we have Instagram video, Instagram profile picture, Instagram real, and all these other designs you can create for Instagram. Let's go ahead and select this one right here was Instagram post to select that, just go ahead and click on it and it's going to open up in a new tab. Okay, we're right here in the editor on the left designs, you can find the templates. Some of these templates are really good. They can help you in the creation process of your post. Let's go ahead and select the template. Let's select this one. And you're going to see it's going to show up right here on our post right here over here. You can edit all the elements in this. Let's go ahead and edit this, for example. So you can double click in there and you can type in whatever you want. If you want to remove an element, click on the element. Then on your keyboard you want to click Delete or Back Space. Once you do that, you're able to delete an element from your post. You can select everything, double click on your mouse, select everything backspace, or delete to remove everything. The same thing with your background. So you can click on your background, You can either delete or you can change it right there. Let's go ahead and delete. To change the color of your background. Want to click anywhere within this box? And come ver here, it says background color. Click there and you want to select your color. Right here, you can select your color. Or you can find a new color. Right here where it says Add a new color. Let's go to select black. Okay, The background of a post is now black. Okay, now to come back here on the left, right here where it says elements. Let's click there. All right, right here under elements, you can find all different types of designs, graphics, images that you can use for a post. Let's say you want to add a post related to, let's say, food. You can come back here to the search bar where it says search element right here. Click there and type in your keyword. So let's guide and search for food. And click Enter on your keyboard to search. All right, so as you can see, we have some results right here. So let's compare here to graphics. Click there. Right here, we can see all different types of graphics that we can use for our post. Another thing I want to mention right here is that every time you see this crown where it says Pro, that means that specific graphic is only available for members who've got the Pro version of Canva. But Canva has a lot of free designs that you can use. You can see this one right here. It doesn't have the crown. So if you want to add that to your post, click on that element and it's going to show up right here on your post. Let's say you want to move this around so you can double click there and you can move it anywhere on your post. If you come back here, Photos, click on Photos. Right here on photos is pretty much the same thing. You want to find a photo that you want to use for your posts. Just go ahead and click on this photo. When you click there, it's going to show up on your post right here. Again, you can double click. You finally change the size. Come here to the corners. Click, drag the corners to make this bigger or smaller. Just like that. To remove an element, just make sure selected, click on it, backspace or delete. And that's how you get rid of an element. That's how you find elements right here, just convert it to elements. Search for a keyword, you can find graphics photos. You can also find videos, shops, and more. Okay, now that you guys know how to add your graphics, let's go ahead and add some text on the left. Right here, under elements you can find text and we have our text right here. You can go ahead and add a heading. So click there. We have a heading right here, so we can say, you can come the double click. You can type it, anything. I'll just say food is good, just like that. You can double click right there. You can move this anywhere on your post to make this bigger. Again, you can come here, drag the corners to increase the size or to use the size. If you come by here, you can see the text is in bold, can select everything, and you can change. As you can see, it changes. If you want to make this boat come by here, click there, and it becomes bold. Let's move that on the middle, right there. Let's make this bigger. Drag the corners, and you can add some more text. You can add a side heading right here, and you can write anything you want right here. Let's say nutrition, nutrition, sorry. Okay. We don't want this to be bold. Double click or highlight the text and come here and do that, okay? You can literally type in whatever you want to right here. It doesn't really matter. That's how you add your text and you can move this anywhere on your post. Okay, that's how you add text to your post. Over here on the left under, you can click. Then over here you'll be able to app files you want to use for post. You can applad images, videos, and audio files to apply the file just come here, says upload file. Click the right here. You're able to select your file. Select this image right here and open the upload is going to begin. You can strike here, there's a progress box. Go ahead and click on the image. Just like that. We have the image on our post right here. Let me just show you guys how easy it is to create a post. Let me just go ahead and move this to the side. Move this on top. Double click in there, and just say how to find you. So mate, let's go ahead and drag the corners to use the size. Let's double click to move it right there on the mid, sorry, let's move this on the mid, double click. Okay, right there. Let's remove this text in the middle. We can drag the corners, make this bigger, drag the corners that, something like that. You can make this smaller up there. Just like that. We have a simple post in Campbell. As you can see guys, it's really easy to create posts with Campbell. It's a drag and drop software and it's really perfect for beginners who want to get started with a graphic design and creating social media content. In the next video, I'm going to dive deeper and show you guys how to create instag posts from scratch. Hope find some value in this video. See you guys in the next one. 3. Designing Instagram Posts: In this video, we're going to start designing some Instagram posts. The first thing you want to do is open up the editor. If you remember in the previous video, we came over here to canva search for Instagram and open this post right here. But you don't always have to do that when you want to create Instagram posts. In fact, what I suggest you do is once you open up your post right here, we created this post, What you want to do is have all your Instagram posts in one place. It's going to be much easier for you to access your content and create new content. By doing that, what you want to do to create a new post is come back here and just add a new page. When you click on a page, you can see we have two pages right here, So the first one and a new blank page. Another thing you can do is just duplicate this page. Come back here, says Duplicate Page. Once you click that, you can see we have two variations of the same post. We have this post right here and this one right here. You can start editing the second one. You can leave this one the way it is if you want to. That's how you create new posts within the same editor, on the same page. Now we have this page right here. What you want to do is click on the page you want to edit. The first post we're going to create is a quote post. What I'm going to do now is come here to design. On top right here, click there. You can sight here says if you want, you can search for a quote right here. But I'll just click right here. It's going to give me some templates that I can use for my quotes. You can see all these different templates that you can use for a post. Let's scroll down here and find a template that I really like. Let's scroll down here. See, you can literally use any of these. I'll go with this one right here. I'll click there. You can see there's a template right there. Okay, What you can do is we can start editing our post. First of all, I'll go ahead and write my quote right here. Click in there, then go ahead and select the text. I'll just replace it with my own text. Add my own, I'll just say never lose. Two days, we say never lose today's happiness. Never lose today's happiness by thinking about yesterday's pain. So today's pain. So we can drag the corner to make this smaller. And let's move that on the med just like that. Now, I don't know where this quote is from. Won't add the name right there, but if you do, you can add that down there. I'll make this big. You can move things around. What I'm going to do is I'll double click on the side and select the text plus the back one right here. If I want to make both bigger, I can drag the sides just like that. Let's see. Move that to the middle right here. Then we can move these symbols. Click the, move it up there. And I'll do the same with this one. Click, Move it down here. Just like that. We have our court post. As you can see guys, it's so easy to create content with Canva. Okay, now we're going to go to our next post. The next post is going to be about personal development or something like that. What do, Go ahead and add the new page page, then come over here, change the background to black, black. Then we can start adding our content. Come here to the text and add the heading right there. Then I'll say three, let's say three investments. Make this bigger. Let's see. Okay, I want to change the alignment. So to do that, you can come over here. What says alignment? Click. It's coming from the left to the right. I duplicate this text. What you want to do is click on the text. Then you want to say duplicate. Right here. Click duplicate. We have this right here. We say three investments, then I duplicate this as well. I'll click on the text. Every time you see this symbol right here, it means you can duplicate it from there without clicking on the three dots. Go ahead and duplicate this. Regret, just say regret. The click anywhere within the pulse and click there again, and duplicate. Just say making. Then you can double click, select text. And you can, you can move this on the middle like that. You can make this bigger if you want to, but I think that's the size I'm looking for. Okay. Now what I'm going to do is a, I can add some color. Click there. Come over here to color and select maybe this right here. The color right there as well. Three investments you never regret making. Let's add a graphic right here. Other graphic. Come back here to elements. Click that right here you want to search for, Let's say we can say something like investments or personal development. Okay, we'll see what's going to come out. Let's first say personal development. We have some results right here. Let's click on Graphics. We have some graphics right here, so we can select one that looks really good. Let's try this one out. Let's see. Let's try to find a different one. Okay, I found this graphic right here. I try this one out, let's click that, drag the corners to reduce the size. Let's move it right here. It just fit it in that space right here. This looks okay. Another thing you can do, if you want to see how different graphics would look, you can duplicate this page. You can delete this and try different graphic. Let's go ahead and drag the corners let's and you can compare the two and see which one you think looks better. Once you've decided, you can decide to go with one of these. Remove this one. I'll go with this one right here. You can change things around to adjust things. So let's say you want to reduce the space between the text. You can just move this, You can do the same with this, this as well. You can edit your content depending on how you like it to be. It doesn't really matter. Go ahead and I'll just leave it like that. Let me click there, make this a bit bigger. Okay. What I'll do is now I'll add the content to this post. It says three investments you never regret making. Let's go ahead and duplicate this remove. Let's remove these two. Right here, right here will say this is going to be the first investment that you will never regret. The first one is going to be books. Obviously. Conver here to elements on top here you can search for books. You want to find an element or a graphic related to books. Comver here and search for books and press. Enter on your keyboard to search for that. We have some graphics right here. Let's select this, move it right here. Then add some text down here. We can to create some space right there. And you can make this a bit smaller compared to the rest. Nothing we can do come over here and we do not need this to be boiled. We can change that like that. Now we can start adding our content right there. We're going to the cons make this small. Click. Bring it down here. Okay. Just look that. You can just try to see how it turns out. And if you don't like it the way it looks, you can change it. As for me, I think it looks okay. So go ahead and duplicate this. Okay. This is a Carsl post. People will see this. Then after the swipe, they'll see this right here. After the swipe, see this second tip right here. What you're going to see right here is two source, the second investment, we're going to say the gym, drag that like that. Then we're going to add a different, we're going to say working out or work out or something like that. Right here, we can go through the content. Let's scroll down here and we can add this. Click that we can remove the book, replace it. Delete the book and replace it with this. We can make this a bit bigger, just like that. Okay, so now we can add our text. Okay, so just like that, we're down with the second post. So you can go ahead and add a third post. As you can see on top says three investments. You can go ahead and, and make a third one, but I don't want to boy, you guys repeating the same thing over and over again. You kind of get the point. I'll just go ahead and applod this on my Instagram page. Investments, you never regret making. You can make this bigger, Let's that. Okay. What I'll do now is go ahead and download these three posts, in fact, including this one right here. To download your content, what you want to do is going to look at the number of the page right here, says page two. This is the second page. So let's say you want to download this post right here you want to do is come here to share. Click there and a comp here says Download. Click there. Once you select PNG, you want to come down here, we say Select Pages. Right here, it says all pages. If you select all pages, you can click on download. And you'll be able to download all your pages in one file, like a zip file. Then you can expand the zip file and get your content. But I just want to download one image right here. I'll select the P right here. It says page two. I make sure only this page is selected. What I do is a compare says all pages, then I'll unselect all pages. Then I'll go ahead and select page two. Then then go ahead and download. Just like that, we've started downloading this page. You want to repeat the same process with all the content right here. Okay guys, once you download your content, you can go ahead and upload your content on Instagram. Now I want to show you guys how to upload posts. I'll just show you guys how to do that. Once you download your images, you want to come over here and click on Create. And you want to select your files from your computer. Select your files from your computer right here. You want to select your files in order. You want to select the first, the first image, then you want to click on Control, Select the second one and the third one. If you have more, you can continue in that order. Once you're done, click on Open. There's a first post, our first image right here. Then we can scroll to a second image, our third. Just like that in that order. Just make sure you get that right and you can go ahead and applod your content. Let's go ahead and do that real quick. Our post has been published, so let's go ahead and check our content out. Refresh the page. Okay, let's check out our content. Scroll down here, there's our code post. As you can see, it looks perfect. And we literally made this in less than a minute. That's a huge time saver right there. Let's check out our second post, our Carol post. As you can see, there's the first image investments you never regret making. We have the books right here and the gym, as you can see, that's how you create a Carso post. Just like that. Engagement Through Visuals: In this video, I'm going to talk about how to engage your audience through visuals with your Instagram posts. The tips I'm going to give you in this video will help you understand how to create better content that gets high engagement and attracts a big audience. The first tip is using high quality images. Using high quality images is the best approach to creating visually appealing and engaging content on Instagram. It's crucial to understand the elements that contribute to the quality of an image. Let's talk about those. Firstly, is resolution and clarity. High resolution images with sharp details are essential. Low resolution images can appear pixelated or grainy when viewed on larger screens or zoomed in. Make sure that all your images are high resolution so that they can appear clear on all devices. Secondly is understanding editing tools. You have to familiarize yourself with photo editing software or apps to fine tune your images. Adjusting exposure, contrast, and color balance can help you achieve a desired look. Canva does have all the basic photo editing features you need. All you have to do is practice and learn how to use Canva to edit your photos. Third is consistency. Maintaining a consistent level of image quality throughout your Instagram feed is vital for brand consistency and audience expectations. Okay, The second tip on how to visually engage your audience on Instagram is storytelling through imagery. Visual storytelling is about using images to convey a message or evoke emotions or take your audience on a journey. Here are some key elements of storytelling through imagery. First is themes and concepts. Start with the clear concept or theme for your visual story. What are you trying to communicate? Share, then develop a narrative around this. Second is subjects and elements. Choose subjects and elements that are relevant to your story. Each element in the image should contribute to the narrative. Third is emotions and mood. The choice of colors, lighting, and composition can influence the mood of your image. Consider how these elements can express the emotions you want to convey. The third power for you guys on how to engage your audience is to writing captivating captions. Captions play a significant role in complementing your imagery and can be a powerful tool for engagement. So here's how to craft captivating captions. First is keep your captions concise and to the point Instagram users often skim through the feeds, so make sure your message is clear and easily digestible. Second is to be specific in your captions. Instead of generic statements. Provide details or insights that are depth to your image. Third is being authentic. You need to show your personality and authenticity in your captions. Sharing personal experiences or thoughts can create a strong connection with your audience. And lastly, is story telling. Your caption can continue the story initiated by your image, Share the backstory, explain the context, or express the emotions associated with the image in your post. Okay, those are all the tips that I have for you guys in this video. And hopefully these tips will help you guys improve your content and increase your engagement rate. Thanks watching guys and I'll see you in the next video. 5. Content Creation Tips: In this video, I have some Instagram content creation tips to help you step up your game and have the right approach to your Instagram content creation journey. Let's dive right in. The first thing is to know your niche. What are you passionate about? Your content should reflect your interests and expertise. Are you into fashion, travel, food, fitness, or something else? Finding your niche, we hope you attract a more engaged and targeted audience. The second tape is quality over quantity. It's not about how often you post, but the quality of your content. Take your time to design great content or capture amazing shots. So make sure you write compelling captions and engage with your audience. A few high quality posts per week are often more effective than daily mediocre content. The third tape power for you guys is to engage with your audience. Do not be a silent poster. Interact with your followers, respond to comments, engage with their posts, and use interactive features like pause and QN A to get them involved. Building a community is key. The final tip here for you guys is to plan your content. Do not post randomly, create a content calendar. This ensures you have a steady stream of content, maintains consistency, and prevents last minute rashes. Hope these tips will help you create better content and come up with a better content strategy. Thank you fortune guys. Peace. 6.
