1. Creating a Juicy Trip Budget: Alright, guys. So let's talk budget. The first thing you need to do before you even start looking for flights. Looking for an awesome Airbnb looking for activities? The first thing you need to do is get crystal clear on your budget. You need to create a realistic budget that you'll stick to no matter what. So why is the budget important? A budget is important because I don't want your first solo trip to interrupt areas of your life. I still want you to be able to go out with your friends, go shopping and pay your bills on time. So how do you come up with this juicy budget? Two things. Think of how much money you can realistically save based on how much you're making at your job, your bills and even what are some things you can stop doing cut out from your budget so that you can put it towards your trip? And to how much money do you realistically feel comfortable spending on a trip like Let's be real. Not all of us feel comfortable spending like $5000 on a trip to Paris like I'm kind of cheap and sometimes I just don't want to spend a whole bunch of money on a trip. So how much money do you feel comfortable spending? You need to take some time and think about that now. Notice. I didn't tell you to go surfing the Web, jumping from block to block or even trip advisor to determine how much money you need it for your dream trip. That's because I wholeheartedly believe that's dramatic, I know, but I strongly believe that nobody where you want to go in the world Paris, Vietnam, Colombia, Guyana. It does not matter where you want to go on the world and your budget. You can make it happen. You can go anywhere in the world. I don't care what your budget is. A In this course, I show you how to plan a solo trip that's geared towards a newbie solo travelers. But I've included to block polls on how you can travel the world completely for free. Yes, you can travel for free. People are out here traveling the world completely for free. But that is not for newbie solo travelers. You have to do some things. OK, that sounds that but you have to sir, substitute certain things for another certain part of your trip to save some money, and I don't recommend that for a newbie solo travelers. But if you're adventurous, I mean, on my first solo trip, I lived with the whole family, and that helped me to save money. So if you are adventures, I included a block poles and how you can travel completely for free. Now you don't have to do everything that the bloc polls recommends or suggests you can substitute certain aspects of your trip. So check out that blawg if you're on a super duper tight budget, because it will give you some really awesome suggestions on how you can save money. But again, in this course, we are playing it safe and booking everything ourselves, which is completely cool. Now, just what you know. You should expect to pay between 50 to $200 per day when traveling, and that includes everything food, accommodations that includes everything. I spend both between 50 and $200 a day while traveling. It depends on how I feel, what I feel like doing. And of course, the destination has an impact. But again, like I said, just like I was just ranting about. You can go anywhere in the world. It does not matter your budget. It totally depends honestly on how you how much money you feel comfortable spending. So check out that article. Let's get into the nitty gritty areas that you will need to budget for. So here is the 10 part budgeting guide for your first solo trip, and you could find a template in the quite a travel trip planning workbook. So make sure you, Donald, that so in this course will go through all 10 parts of this budget, and by the end of the course, you'll have that completely you completely filled. 2. Choosing The Best Time To Travel : our guys. Let's talk about the best time to take you for a solo trip, so I can't stress this enough that it's so important that you're flexible with their travel dates. If you're on a budget and you want to catch some major deals, you need to be flexible. You need to travel when it's pretty much the cheapest time to travel. So what I recommend is to talk to your boss and make sure you have two weeks where you are able to travel. Just let your boss know. I mean, if you're cool with your boss, that you're Boston, all that you know what In. And for example, in the end of the end of September in the last two weeks of September, I'm planning on taking a trip. I don't know. The exact dates depends on how much the flights are and something such so that the no so that they can prepare for you to be gone to let them know that you are planning on taking a trip between during a two week period. So how do you pick the best two week period travel during low season so most Americans are traveling during the summer trying not to travel during the summer. Try not to travel during holidays. Everyone's traveling during those times, and flights and accommodations will be more expensive. I mean, it's supply and demand, right. And also check out the destination that you're interested in going to make sure that there aren't any holidays going on in that destination when you want to visit, because that will make everything expensive and even further. You need to be flexible with exact time. Time day, you fly exact day of the week you fly and such such and such. Because early morning flights and super late night fights tend to be cheaper because who wants supply that early in the middle of the week? Flights in the middle of weak like Tuesday and Wednesday tends to be cheaper because, really, who has the time to leave and go on vacation during the middle of the week? Most people are working, while flights on the weekend setting is in Sunday's tend to be more expensive. So my point as be as flexible as you can have two weeks where you are able to book your vacation and make sure you talk to your boss. Let them know that. Hey, in these two weeks, I'm planning on going on a vacation. I'll let you know the exact dates when I book everything so that your employer will be prepared as well. So take a minute and think and block out two weeks where you can travel. 3. Picking The Best Destination: Let's talk about picking the best destination for your first solo trip. I'm sure you already have a destination in mind, but in case you don't let's talk about how you can pick the best destination for your first trip. So here's what I recommend. I recommends it that you take your first solar ship to somewhere in Western Europe. Now that is completely my opinion. I mean, if you talk to another solo traveler will probably tell you to go somewhere in the Caribbean or Australia, where this is completely my opinion. I recommend somewhere in Western Europe because it's well traveled. There's a ton of town of block holes and information on it, that area of the world and also because most of us we've studied the languages in Western Europe in high school and even college, so we're very familiar with, you know, Spanish friendship, Spanish and French. It'll be easier for you to communicate with people, but this is completely my opinion again. Now, the second thing you need to think about is the safety off off the destination you're interested in. What we need to do is go to travel that state that Govett to get all the juicy info on destination to make sure it's cool for us to go, because I want you guys to be safe and happy in your destination. Sorry, you go to travel dot state dot gov and you quick international travel and you scroll down quick country information. And let's say you want to go to Paris. You do not type in power as you type in France. Sorry, can I spoke? Let's say you want to go to France, Paris And then here's all this juicy information on the safety of your destination. I recommend you read this through and determine if you feel comfortable going to that country and basically so you could be up to date and know what the heck's going on in the country you're visiting and do not cause this page cause we need a There's some bits of information here that we still need. Take a minute, read through in the section. Where's the safety and Security and just make sure that you feel comfortable going to that destination. All right, so you're cool with the country. You're cool with the destination. Great. So let's move on. So some other costs that you need to include in your trip budget in template is visa and vaccination. So some countries require that you have a certain vaccination or else they literally will not allow you to enter the country. So every single country has the same quicks, quick backs area. So no matter what country you're going to, you'll see vaccinations and they'll have to have the vaccination or the have the word none right here. So say you were going to France. In your budget and template, you will write zero because you do not need a vaccination. Next you need to look at if you need a tourist visa. According to the quick fax, you do not need a tourist visa to enter France. So in your budgeting template, you would write $0 not need a visa, a tourist visa to enter France. Finally, the last thing you need to budget for is an exit B or departure fee. Some countries require that you pay a departure fee when you're leaving. Honestly, I don't know why I know court. Costa Rica does it. Um, I think Jamaica does it. I think I'm not sure, but you have to pay a fee when exiting the country. So to determine if you need to pay an exit fee, you'll look at this section right here with his entry exit and user requirements. Are you guys so determine If you need to pay an exit B and whatever that be is right it in your in your budgeting template, and I would recommend you go through each section because it's filled with, like, juicy information on travel and transportation laws. Embassies. This is important. This is important. Stops would take some time and review the page. Here we have assistance for US citizens, emergency information and such and such. And if you are not a US citizen, I included in the Resource is part of the choir traveler trip Planning workbook includes some sites that you can determine if you need a vaccination, and if you need a tourist visa based on the country you're from. So you guys go through this website. It's full. Would fill with juicy information that you need to plan your trip and play it super duper safe, because now we're moving on to some in country expenses 4. Create a Food Budget: All right, let's talk about some in country expenses because you wanna have a good idea of how much money you'll expect to spend while in country, so the first thing is a food. Let's create a budget for food. Now. You probably have no idea how much money a typical meal will cost in your destination, so it's kind of impossible to create a budget when you just really don't know right, so you'll use this website. I've been using this website four years. Notice how it looks like it's been It was built in like 1999. I've used this for years and number geo dot com is a website you used to get the cost of living for destinations all over the world over 8000 cities. Okay, so what you do is you had to the search for here. You can search or type in your country on leave. Let me just type it in. So what you'll see is how much it costs. Eat at restaurants, shopping, the market, public transportation, and you won't need the rest of these cause you're just a tourist visiting. But this is this is gold up. First of all this changed the currency. Let's change the current. Let's go back to whatever currency you're using. If you're using euros, you can leave it. But for us, Americans changed the currency. You super quick. $2000. Okay, so first, let's talk about who Let's create a food budget. Most of you eat three meals of the breakfast, lunch and dinner. You need to create a budget for each of those. Now what I recommend is you cook one meal and you go out to eat for the other two mills, or you can cook all three meals. It's up to you, but that's what I recommend if you're on a budget. And plus, I don't particularly like getting up early just to go out to have breakfast. I'd rather just make it at home. So if you're like me and you like toe, make breakfast at home, check out the prices of different items at the market and come up with a budget for your breakfast for the total of seven days. Next, look at the cost of food at a typical restaurant. An inexpensive meal is about $17 in Paris, and Amelia McDonald's is about $10 in Paris beer and so on. This information is gold because it will help you prepare for how much money you're you're spending in country. So guys use this information here and come up with a realistic food budget and enter it in your budgeting template. 5. Creating a Transportation Budget: Now let's move on to transportation. How are you planning on traveling? Getting around in your destination? Are you renting a car? Are you sobering it? Boobery are using uber or doing taxis? Or are you relying on public transportation? I almost always rely on public transportation when visiting a new country because honestly is just fun for me, and it saves me a lot of money. So whatever transportation. So whatever mode of transportation you decide on, you can use a section here to help you budget in Paris. A one way ticket would be about two about 2 50 so I would I would say so well everyday. I should expect to spend about $5 a day on transportation, and then I would enter that in my trip planning work. But just to know, guys, if you decide to use a public transportation no matter where you go in the world, there's definitely some kind of discount past you can purchase, especially if you're there. Just for about seven days of a new in New York City that used to do something called The Fun Pass 23 $7 you have unlimited access to public transportation. You can ride all day just for $7. So do your research. If we choosing toe, rely on public transportation because I almost guarantee that there is a discount card or a discount pass whatever it's called in the country or visiting two guys, go ahead, right, your food budget and your transportation budget in your trip planning workbook, and then we move on to the next part off planning your first solo trip. 6. One Super-Duper Awesome Activity : the next thing you need to do. If the decide on one super duper awesome activity that you do in country, you'll have that one big activity, the thing even dreaming, wrongdoing. And then you also rather other that one big activity with other free, free or low cost activities. Now, why do you need to do this? Having a goal in country will help you to plan out your trip to choose your accommodation at. It'll basically help you toe organize that your trip. So, for example, say you were going to Paris. Your goal is to go to the Moulin Rouge. Forgive me if I didn't. If I said that wrong, say, that's your goal to go see a show there. What you'll do is your find somewhere to stay like an Airbnb or hotel or whatever you'll find somewhere to stay. That's easy access to the Moulin Rouge. You'll make sure your budget for a show there and then you. You even do research to find activities near the Milan Rouge, and also you can check out if there are city passes, discount passes or tourist passes that you can use A that includes that one activity and other activities that you want to dio just to be clear. A. CityPass. There's many different titles for it, but it is basically a past, a certain amount of money you pay to gain access to a bunch of attractions. If you were going to Paris, that would be, you know, access to the Eiffel Tower. Um, DeLuca. It's a way of for tourists to save money when in the city. So having one big activity is a great way toe. Organize your first solo trip and honestly for my trips and help me to avoid feeling like loneliness or home feeling homesick because I know that tomorrow I am doing X, y and Z the next day after I'm doing this and that. So I have something to look forward to. So you confined your one big juicy activity from trip advisor dot com. Like literally, Trip Advisor is the best website to use when planning your trip. When looking for activities, are you confined? Tours, classes, uh, museums, monuments, its endless You can find a ton of activities to do so. Yes, Trip advisor. And this is the site you used to find fun things to do I'm sure a lot of you are aware off trip advisor. But for some of you that aren't you click on things to Dio already have Paris here. So you click find things to do and you go. And this is what I'm talking about. Sightseeing tickets and passes. So take a look at this website and determine how much money you need for activities. And if you have some other activities in mind, be sure to enter it to 7. Book Your International Flight: 3 Key Strategies : are right. Let's talk about booking a super duper cheap international flight. Now chief for you might be different for cheap for me, right in my It's different for the two of us. But for me, a good a good old cheap flight is $600. That's a great flight for me now. I came up with that amount based on how much I've paid for flights over the last nine years . I don't feel comfortable paying more than $600 for a flight, because, honestly, there's just too many ways. To many ways of saving money on flights, you can travel hack, which I recommend you get into, which is basically just using loyalty and reward programs to get cheap, to get reduced or free flights. That's how I got my $12 flight to Puerto Rico round trip. It's It's very simple, but also not necessary. You don't have to travel hack to get a great flight. You just need to use these three strategies I'm about to tell you right now, but in the resource is portion off the quiet travel trip planning workbook. You'll you'll see what I recommend. You can read nomadic mats Travel hacking guide. It's like 111 pages and full of ways to travel Hack. It's crazy. If you want to travel, travel, start traveling for completely free. You want to get free flights, then it is possible you can use those methods, but for now, you don't have to. You can get a flight for $600 or less. It's easy, trust me. So here three strategies that I used to get super duper cheapflights. So the first thing is you need to use a quality quality search engine. There are a lot of sucky search engines out there, and I understand it's a business, since each of those websites they make money on commission. So obviously they can charge whatever they want for flight. But you need to focus on quality search engines. Alright, guys. The second strategy is to fly when no one else is flying, meaning to fly off season of a waiter. The summertime avoid holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Memorial Day of Oita, all times when everyone else is traveling because guess what, Everything will be way more expensive. The flight will be more expensive. Your accommodations will be more expensive and you won't get as many cool deals at restaurants when you fly during peak season. So not only am I talking about the time of the year, I'm also talking about the time of day, super early morning flights and super late night flights. No one wants to take that, and those tend to be cheap. Cheaper flights, also flying in the middle of the week, tend to be cheaper to finally strategy. Three. Book your flight 6 to 12 weeks before departure. Then no, this one is super duper obvious. But, you know, I just have to make sure you know, Please don't book your flight less Danna. Four weeks before departure, you might be able to get away with five, but do not push it to four weeks. After four weeks, the airlines see this. This person might be a little desperate for flight. Let me let me bunk that price of because Americans aren't traveling that much anyway. So if someone is looking for international fight 3 to 4 weeks before departure, something's up right? They might be desperate for a flight. I've tested this myself. Trust me, I've tested this this myself tracking flights over the course of 12 weeks and noticed that at about four weeks it gets it increases by the hundreds, trust me. So be safe, played safe and book your flights at least eight weeks before you need to travel. And guys, of course, is not set in stone. I've bought international tickets four weeks before departure, and it wasn't that much money we just played safe. This is your first solo trip. It should be fun and not stressful. 8. Tutorial: How To Book An International Flight Under $600: are right guy. So this is the fun part. Let's book that international trip. So let's pretend that I am going. Teoh Paris one week in Paris at the end of September, not September is definitely offseason. Who's taking a vacation in September? Well, I am, and I'm open to leaving during the middle of the week. I'm open to flying any time during the day and told my boss during the last two weeks of September, I'm traveling sometime between those two weeks. So here's what I do. The first thing you need to do is open up a private window. So here's a private window on safari. So how you do it on a Mac is, um, file new private window and it pops up. And the first website I'll go to an all three website that that I use Onley throughout sides they use and what I recommend you use. I have it in the resource is portion off the workbook. So the first thing I do is I started sky scanner dot com, and then a type in New York is already usually highlighted here. I time in New York. It's not there and I know for sure. I want to go to Paris, and then I look at the whole month of you. I got a whole month, September and I click September depart in September, return in September because I want to see the whole month, so loading. Okay, does just double checking. I have Paris here because this is so cheap. All right, so here we go. Here's the results. And I want to leave somewhere between the 16th and the 29th. Um, so whatever do is, uh, highlight the first day of the week and see for seven days. By the way, this is traveling to Paris for seventies and see what? How much it is leaving the 16th and coming back. The 23rd that street 52. Amazing. Like that's totally amazing. But let's keep going. If maybe we'll find something cheaper. If we leave on the 18th it's 1 60 going and one week later will be the 25th. Oh, this is amazing. 3 36 That's amazing. All right, so I'm sold on 3 36 I probably wouldn't even continue looking anymore. Actually, maybe I would, But maybe you should continue looking more, but for the sake of this tutorial, this video let's stick with 3 36 as our price for our Ah seven day trip to Paris, leaving the 18th and coming back the 25th. Then we would quick show flights and see what we get, because now we want to see the exact time of day were leaving. But, um, here we go here, here are the results and actually the prices went up about about $10. But that's cool. So we have it as 3 46 So let me just make sure. Yeah, it's it's, um it's sorted by the cheapest price. So 3 46 and this is actually leaving from New Jersey, which is about a Knauer away from me, which I'm cool with, Um, but let's see from JFK, which is what I would prefer to leave from. This is more money. So actually I would probably stick to this flight here. So leaving with no no region air returning at the same, departing and returning the same airport for 3 46 So let's get the details leaving at 12:30 a.m. That's super early in the morning. See, that's what I said you have to be flexible. And the cheapest flights tend to be random times in the day, which this is Ah, Early in the mornings, I would be at the airport, probably about 10 p.m. But anyway, yeah, so here goes and then returning a 8:30 p.m. And I arrived in a New Jersey, the New Jersey New York area at 10:30 p.m. So I am cool with this fight. This is definitely a flight I would buy, but we're not done yet. We need to double check that. This is, in fact, the best flight on the Web. So I'm cool, skyscanner. And now let's go to my second Draper website, which is kayak dot com. Then we searching here in New York to Paris. I'm gonna make this quick, guys, I promise you here to Paris and let's get the whole month view month. You want to stay there for seven days in a September Hello? And let's search. Um, the dates we seen, which was a bullet it again, the 18th to the 2015 18 returning actually was sleeping like that. It's more money here, the process. So if we leave the 18th. If we leave in 19 car keys telling me the cheapest time to leave us in 19 and two and cheapest time since it's a week, if we leave the 19 that and come back to 26 it's 3 66 If we were traveling for a seven day period, this is the cheapest time. Kayak is telling us to travel the 19th to the 26 for 3 66 compared to three three 46 that we found on sky scanner dot com. So it's roughly the same $20 difference. So OK, so Sky Scanner, of course, is the winner. But last thing I do is go to Google flights, google dot com just lights. And this is the last website check because you know I want the cheapest deal. Want to save as much money as possible so that we can continue flying to New York to Paris , Paris, France and we will check. And what's cool about Google flights is that it shows you the price of each day on the map on the calendar. So let's go to September and say we want to and we can play around with it and let's check the 18th cheap it is. Look at that on the 60 this three. Oh, it went away, but it was three something. And in returning it is a 16 to we're six seats of the 23rd. It's 3 80 That's pretty good. And then we would play around that. See the 17th to the 24th. 3 39 Well, that's cheaper. And sky scanner. Oh, the 18th to the 20 fifth is 3 38 and so on. And we you would keep checking for the cheapest date or whenever you or whenever you find a date and price combination that you're happy with. It's all about what you're happy with. So, actually, I'm kind of feeling Google flights their flights here because it's cheaper. So the 16th when did again the 16th to the 23rd in his 3 80 total? That's quick, Donna and took out the price. The DSR in other parts, that exact times We're leaving. It's floating. Okay, guys. So it seems like I clicked the wrong dates. The best travel insurance company I recommend for you is world, no matter. It's perfect for solo travelers, and I've never had to file a claim, but I hear that it's quick. It's easy to file a claim now. I included in the research portion of the workbook, a site you can go to to check out some other travel insurance companies. But honestly, I recommend you stick with world nomads and I'll show you exactly what the what their plans has to offer. So you will go to the website world nomads dot com type in your destination. So we're going to friends. We type in France. We're from the U. S. A. The New York Jets type New York. And the dates were what was it again September 18th to the 25th. So one week and the age of it, let's say we're 27 So make sure all that is filled out. What it would it end, didn't I dio it's fixed up New York in search. So here's what World Nomad has toe offer. Here's the standard plan and the Explorer plan so that you would take some time and then determine which one you feel comfortable with. I usually just get the standard plan because I feel like it offers a lot of offers enough for me, so I usually just get the standard planet, which is about 80 bucks for the week. Finding an Accommodation You'll Love: that's fine. You somewhere to stay that you will absolutely love. It's so important to pick an accommodation type and then choose the best combination for yourself based on your personality, because you it sucks to stay somewhere that you're not happy with, especially after a long day of traveling, of being out and about walking, sweating and all that jazz. And it's very important to stay somewhere that you love and some where you can relax, unwind and just overall, Just relax and feel comfortable so you have three different options in accommodation. You have a hostile hostels. You have apartment rentals or a B and B and, of course, hotels. First, let's talk about hostels. Ah, hostile is a budget friendly accommodation. Think of it as like the uber pool off accommodation. There's a space that you and a bunch of other people are renting. It's cheaper because everyone is chipping in to rent the property. The thing is, the other people are complete strangers. But the cool thing about hostels is not the cheaper price, the price, the fact that it's so cheap. It's the fact that you could meet people from all over the world and The thing about hostels is that it's meant to be a social environment you meant to meet. Other solo travelers hear their stories talk and connect. Most hostels are geared towards solo travelers, so they have a lot of fun events that bring the other travelers the guests together, a happy hour, free walking tours and a month and a bunch of other fun events. So give hostiles a chance. Forget what you know about hostels. Forget what you've seen on TV. Forget what you heard from friends and family. Do your own research and make your own judgment. They were geared towards young budget travellers travellers in their early twenties late teens, and that didn't have a lot of money. And honestly, they just wanted to party, have a good time and meet other young travel of travelers to go wild with. Yeah, it was like that. But nowadays it hostels are fancy shmancy year decked out accommodations like some hostels , are better than hotels. Trust me. Expect to pay between 15 to $40 for a hostile for a night. It's different all over the world. In Thailand. UPI $10 a night for hostile, while in Japan I paid $26 a night for a hostile. The next type of accommodation is an apartment rental, or Airbnb. An Airbnb is a property that you rent. You can, either. Renta Ah, private room in someone's apartment, house, condo cabin. Or you can rent the entire space and even more. You can rent abed in someone's room, similar to a hostile similar to hostile. So just like hostels, you can find all different types of Airbnb za. So I have so many Airbnb goals, and I won't. I won't talk about right now, because this video will be like 20 minutes. But there's so many different type of properties you can rent on. Airbnb is you got your, you know, your traditional. Like I said, a apartment rental or an entire home you can rent. But you also have Airstreams. You can rent a room in a castle again, a cabin. There's so many cool types of properties that you can rent on Airbnb dot com, and we'll check some of that out. We'll we'll check out the you know, the good old regular type of properties you're gonna rent on Airbnb. But I just wanted to let you know that there's this some fun to be had on Airbnb dot com. Expect to pay between 45 to $75 per night for a private room in an Airbnb. And again, this is a rough price range, so it depends on your destination. That's my point. Completely depends on your destination. Obviously, in Europe it will be more expensive to rent an entire apartment than in, say, Thailand. But since you're traveling solo, I recommend if you choose Airbnb to rent a room in somebody's home so that you can, you know, save money and not have to rent an entire apartment. But also you can have ah ah local to tell you about your destination and basically to have someone to to conversant with. That's a local. And finally you have your hotel. I won't get into detail about hotels. I'm sure you guys are clear on what the hotel is and what you can expect in hotels. I think a decent hotel you confined is about $100 night, and it goes up after that. So these are three types of accommodation we're going to go through to find the best combination in Paris for each of these. And then from there you'll do the same and decided the best type of accommodation hostile Airbnb or hotel, and then choose the best one. You find it when you do your search. 11. Tutorial: How To Find The Best Hostel: our guys. So let's start looking for accommodation. In this example, I'll use Paris. So since we've been using Paris so far, But when you search, of course, search for your destination. So let's first look at hostels will go from hostels to Airbnb to hotels. So let's first look at Hostel. So what we do, you go to a hostile world dot com. This is a website I've used from the get go to find hostels, the hostile little dot com and they're doing this cool promotion with Mariah Carey, which is pretty cool. But yet so they have 36 36,000 properties all over the world, 100 and 70 countries. And so it's legit. So we're looking for Paris, so we type in power issue typing your destiny. Tiana and the dates we found those cheap plane tickets are September. What was it again? Sept. 18 to 2050? Let's plug that in, and then we are doing it solo. So we talked to pick one guest, and it's cool because they have free cancellation. And there we quick, let's go. Let's see what we have. Make sure your currency is correct and you're in for here is correct. So notice we have 162 hostels and powers and only 124 available. All right, so see, this is what we have. And I told you, hostels are fancy these days. Look at this. Hostile. This is a bit pricey, but look at this. Hostile. This is fancy. So anyway, so let's start a few things to keep in mind. Is that one activity we talked about? So when looking for your accommodation, you want to make sure that you have easy access to the activity. All right, So the first thing you should do is sort your accommodation by rating because we want to see the best of the best. And then we'll decide based on the price, the rate, the reviews and the distance from our super duper awesome activity that we're doing. Then we'll decide what hostile is best for us. So we will sort of our rating. So this has a 10 rating of 10 a. But it's $83. No way. Let's keep going until we find a price that we are happy with. I'm going to see. I wouldn't pay more than 30 40 35 to $40 a night in a hostile because, um, it's a hostile and because it's in Paris, Paris is more is a more expensive city. So let's look at this one. This is in the range. It has these bunk beds, though not too happy with those bunk beds. Oh, this looks pretty cool. And it's $43 a night. You know, I look school because of the photos, and it's deep opponents. Apparently, it's diva proof. Let's see it. Let's look at the pictures. So what I would do is look at the pictures, and if I'm happy with the pictures, then I look at the location. It is 20 minutes in the Latin Quarter, the loop and the Eiffel Tower, the dorm situation. So it's a sick. What we have is a six better female dorm at $43 per night. And then after that I would take a look at the reviews, reading through the reviews to make sure that ah, lot of people aren't commenting on something that I hate, like the noise level and the cloning cleanliness off the hostile, I would read through at least 10 the 1st 10 reviews to make sure that I'm happy what people are saying, because you can look at the pictures and you can read the property description. But what really matters is what rail people are saying about the hostile. So what I want you to do is go through the searches. The search results read the reviews. Make sure that it is sorry did me too quick that check out what amenities the hostel offers makes you see if there's a free breakfast. Check out the location of the hostile If if it's near the activity that you want to take part off, I would be super happy if my goal was go to the loo and see the Eiffel Tower because it's only 20 minutes, and from there I would be super happy. Actually, I would be happy. 20 minutes is not 20 minutes is it is a bit of a way, actually, so I would probably look for a different hostile Hello, Can I go back? So take your time, look through each and every hostile and find one that's in your price range offers the things you like like a free breakfast, and me just meets your standards. Okay, guys, After looking for about a minute of two or two, I didn't want to record that. And, you know, make this video support super long, but I've been looking for about a minute or two. I I would probably choose this hostile here because it looks clean and chic. Look at this and look at these beds there, like sturdy, strong Bethany. Offer a curtain here to have some privacy, and it looks super clean. I would probably pick this hostile here, and it's about 50 bucks a night, which is pretty pricey, but I'm actually sold on on the property. And if we check out the facilities for your WiFi for Internet access, free sitting maps, there's a bar. There's a caffeine, then all for free breakfast. Breakfast is three euros per day, so yet, so let's hold off. Let's hold this accommodation and then we'll look at, um, Airbnb 12. Tutorial: How To Find The Best Airbnb: Okay, let's go to Airbnb dot com, which is where I find all my, um, home rentals. So first you click homes and Paris is actually here, but you would type in it right here. Your destination. I'll just quick Paris just to save some time. And now we have to filter it based on our dates. Let's go to our day, which was September. Our flight is September of 18 to 2050. Click 18 to 2050 and to your dates, so that's filtered. The number of guests is one and home type will choose private room because an entire place is actually more money. And I think as a new soul, travel your you'll be fine ranching a room at an Airbnb property price. Let's see the plight. Let's leave the price. Um, yes, so now one more filter will use is based on that one big activity you decided on earlier in the class. Let's go toe filters. So first you would find out where that one big activity is happening. Like where is one neighborhood? It's Anna, and then you would scroll down to neighborhood new puts here, and then you would find the neighborhood These are all the neighborhoods in Paris. So say, for example, that one big activity in powers wanted to do was see, see a show at the Moulin Rouge. So the neighborhood that's in, I believe, is a month, month mark trade. I can't speak French guys. Some do notice. I believe it's that anyone I'm 98% sure so look like that. And now these results are the best results for us. You can filter even some more based on beds. Obviously need a bit right, better amenities and, like you need a most Airbnb Z. Have all this stuff kitchen A kitchen, of course. But, sir, in many of these, like breakfast you might not find. But we need WiFi definitely, and you can look through it and determine other things. Let's show results. All right, so these results here are the best Airbnb. He's for us, based on our dates on private room and neighborhood. So let's take a look. What you need to look out for is the number of reviews and the amount of stars need the highest amount of reviews, and the highest model Star gold are the best of the best. Let's go through. So I like my Airbnb used to sheik clean and a little fancy shmancy. I do. I'm not gonna lie. So let's truth wants the you'll choose Wanna? Based on your needs, your preferences. Okay, so look through you look through through each of these a lot. Here, you look through each of these and pick and Airbnb based on your needs and what you like. So let me see what I would choose. So this one here, this is great. And it's only $42 up, but it has six reviews. Hold out with that. You know, in this case, because there's so many properties, let's filter it by price, there's just too many to look. Look who I'm gonna say. We don't want to pay more than $70 a night, and if we see, a lot of sucky ones will raise it. But this one here is $50 a night free cancellation in 182. But it was so dark and gloomy. That's not may continue. This is a hostile some there. Some hospital on this. This one here back at work. This is his $55 a night That's a pullout bed. No thing. This one here was cool. Let's click on it. We looked through the pictures. It's all right. 50 bucks a night. Your access to a kitchen. It's all a I'm not in love with it. Or for a weekend powers. $339 isn't so bad. So what, you would make sure what you would check out is to make to Rita the House rules cancellation policy and, most importantly, their reviews. You need to hear what people are saying. Like I said about hostels, this dude over here, you can put whatever he wants, whatever pictures he wants and the description he can write whatever he wants. But what's important is what actual real humans are saying. Go through the results and pick the best Airbnb, and then we'll move on to hotels. After for now, I'm going to stick with this one here, even though it has only six reviews for the sake of time. So we'll have that open. We still have our ever hostel. Now we have our baby, and now let's do hotel 13. Tutorial: How To Book The Best Hotel: so hotels combined is awesome because it searches some major hotel websites all in one. So booking dot com used to be my site. Like I used to always find hotels on booking dot com. Until I found this site, it searches booking dot com Expedia and a pagoda. I don't really know what to say that, but these two websites are the best places to find hotels and all types of accommodation, actually, and this one website searches all of those and more. Plus hello, no booking feet. And if you school all the way down best price guarantee, nobody we know mark up. That's how palms Julia. Yeah, yeah, but it has the best price guarantee. If you click here, you'll see. Where does this final Ori. If you find a lower weight on another site that we didn't offer offer, you let us know so that there's a best price guarantee, so that's pretty cool. Anyhoo, let's look for our hotel in a hurry. Taipower's type your destination. Take the course states 18 then one of jobs. Our guys who hear the results for Paris from Sept 15 to the 2015 1 adult. So right now, it's so it's sorted by the number of stars, but they're just too many results. Here is let's filter it some more. So what? You would do your go down to the price range so we'll select, um, 100 dollars. Don't $59 a night, and then we will filter it some more based on the neighborhood we want to stand. Remember, we're pretending like our dream is to this year's show with the Milan Luger. So let's go down to that. That is, um, here, Marty, When Mark Tree does, this will make it easier for us. So let's see how maney Now we have 80 properties and it's in our price range, so we won't be searching, you know, forever. Actually, this is not selective. Yes, it was taking off. Okay, so now, now we're good price range in the neighborhood we need. So let's see you have the best Western here. Kind of like this, actually, $2000 for the total off seventies. Not too bad. I mean, I would stick to my Airbnb, But what I have that big K feel then a hotel is for you. This one here, This is well This is another best Western hotel on March 3. This that's pretty cool. This is pretty cool here. So what you would do is go through each of the search results each page. Make sure you filter it cause you would be reviewing for days. Make sure you feel trip. Filter it. You can also select the number of stars as well. I chose not three, but you can and you pick the best hotel based on your needs and your budget. Our guys, for the sake of time. I looked through some of the results, and I found out I found that this is the best option. The best Western based on the price in the neighborhood and the reviews. Its 7.6 and 404 reviews. That's pretty good. So this will be my choice in hotels. So now you have three different option. You should have three different options hostile, this fancy hostile over here on Airbnb and a hotel. Now it's your job to pick one of these accommodations, one that you see yourself coming coming in after a long day of traveling completely, feeling relaxed and happy with to pick one of these and whatever you, whatever you choose, make sure you write it in your budgeting template 14. Sign Up To Smart Traveler Enrollment Program : our guys, and now that you know your exact location, you'll be in country. Now you can sign up for the Smart Traveler Involvement program.
