About This Class

When it comes to running a successful blog, coming up with blog post ideas is half the battle. In fact, when people join my email list, in the first email, I ask them to reply and tell me their biggest blogging challenge. At least 25% of them say, "Coming up with blog post ideas," or "Knowing what to write about," or something similar.

That's what motivated me to write my book, Blogger's Quick Guide to Blog Post Ideas, and to then create this class.

The bottom line is that it truly is easier to write when you have an abundance of ideas rather than sitting there looking at a blank page, wondering what to write.

So in this class, I give you 30+ ways to generate blog post ideas. Many of them take 10 minutes or less and can give you an endless - YES, endless - supply of blog post ideas.

 The Project For This Class

For your class project, you'll pick one of the idea-generation methods in this class. Set a timer for 10 minutes, and using the method, see how many ideas you can come up with before the timer goes off. Share the method you used, along with your blog post ideas that you came up with with the rest of us.

Check Out These Companion Classes

By the way, as a companion to this course, be sure to check out these two classes as well:

1. Intro: Hello and welcome to Blood Post Idea Generation 30 plus ways to come up with Blood Post ideas. My name is Rebecca Livermore, and I am a full time author and blogger, and one of my books is the bloggers Quick guide to blood post ideas, set up systems, nurture creativity and never run out of block post ideas again. Here's why I decided to write that book and also why I decided to create a class on the subject of generating block post ideas. When people first joined my email list in my first email to them, I asked them to hit, reply and tell. May their biggest content creation challenge. At least 25% of them say coming up with block post ideas or knowing what to write about or something similar. So that's what motivated me to teach on this topic. The bottom line is that it truly is easier to write when you have an abundance of ideas, rather than sitting there looking at a blank page, wondering what to write. So in this class, I give you 30 plus ways to generate block post ideas, and many of them take 10 minutes or less If you implement even a few of these ideas, you'll have an endless supply of block post ideas for your class project. You'll pick one of the idea generation methods in this class. Set a timer for 10 minutes and using that method, see how many ideas you can come up with before the timer goes off. It doesn't get any easier than that. So what are we waiting for? Let's go ahead and die ban. 2. Brainstorming and Templates: brainstorm. When I first started off as a blogger, this was the on leeway that I came up with blonde post ideas. It's easy, and it requires no special tools, and it works. You can brainstorm by yourself or with a group. I personally find it far more effective and productive when I brainstorm alone. But do whatever works for you. Here's an important thing to keep in mind. Not all of the ideas need to be good, and in fact, the majority of them may be really bad. And that's OK. Sometimes you have to come up with a lot of bad ideas toe on Earth, some excellent ones. The method I use is to simply set a timer and jot down ideas as fast and furious as I can. I like using the Pomodoro technique. The way that this works is to set a timer for 25 minutes and write as many block post ideas as you can before the timer goes off. Do not, I repeat, do not judge any of the ideas. If they pop into your head, write them down when the timer goes off. Take a five minute break after your break set the timer for another 25 minutes and again jot down ideas as quickly as you can. Speed is important because it keeps you from judging any of the ideas too harshly. Remember, not all ideas will be good, and that's okay. You can cherry pick ideas for the block post. You'll actually right. Templates are the next way to come up with block post ideas in my skill share course. Five Secrets to Developing the blogging habit. One of the secrets that I share is to use templates now. Templates air great when it comes to helping you to write block post faster, but they can also help you come up with block Post ideas. Why? Because the templates are for different types of blood. Post, for instance, you may have a template that deals with mistakes just looking at the template and considering that type of post can bring common mistakes that your target audience makes to mind in the resource is pdf that you'll find in the class project area. I give you a link for an article I wrote and how to use block post templates, so be sure to check that out for more information 3. Speeches, Videos, Books: In this video, I get into how to use speeches, sermons, YouTube videos, podcast books and even skill share courses for generating block post ideas in the previous section on nurturing creativity. One of the things I mentioned is to be a lifelong learner. You can do that by simply taking in information, for instance, by listening to podcast when you're driving. When it comes to actually getting some block post ideas down, make a point of focusing more intently on the content you are taking in. One of the best ways to do that is to take copious notes. You could take notes in various ways. For instance, in addition to handwritten or typed notes, try sketch noting, which is simply writing notes in a more visual form. And, by the way, even if you don't fill your artistic give sketch, noting a try, even though I don't have an artistic bone in my body, I started sketch noting sermons, and that's really helped me to focus and remember the points that stood out to me after taking notes, take a moment to read and reflect on them. Are there any illustrations you could use in a future blood post. If so, add them, too. One note. Evernote or whatever system you've set up for capturing ideas. You can also make a practice of using this time to jot down at least five ideas for potential blood post related in some way to the information you just consumed. You can also apply the same methodology to reading as you do to listening to video sermons , podcast and courses. Instead of being in a big hurry to finish a book, take the time to jot down some notes from each chapter. If the book you reading is related to your industry, you can publish your reading notes as blood post. If you're not quite ready to publish your notes right away, add them together with any ideas the book has sparked for your block to your blonde post idea capture system. 4. Reviews: In addition to taking notes on the books she read, you can also write book reviews. While a book review may touch on some of the key points in the book, they are different from reading notes in that they also offer a sort of critique. For example, you may include things that you agree or disagree with in the review how the book compares to other similar books in the same genre, the quality of the research and writing and whether or not you recommend the book. You can also write reviews for products, services, events and more. In some cases, you can even monetize reviews if you're an affiliate for the product. The important thing to remember, however, is to make sure to be honest in your review, don't recommend a product just because you want to make a commission. Here's an example of this type of post lead pages versus Optimized Press Why I switched from lead pages to optimize press, and I'll add a link to this article to the resource is page in the project area of this class. To date, I've made $529.80 on this one article as an optimized press affiliate, and the key is that I really do use and love optimized press. Now. Obviously not all reviews have to be positive. It's important to share the truth about the product she review. My opinion is that unless you have a horribly negative experience with a product, it's not necessary to rake the creator of the product over the coals. Be honest, but treat them the way you'd want them to treat you next. Movie reviews in the same way that you can review books, you can also review movies with both books and movies. You can draw and present lessons from the characters and how they apply to your niche. Here's an exercise for you. Set a timer for 10 minutes and write down every single movie you can think of that you've seen in the past couple of years or beyond. Are there any lessons from the characters that could benefit your readers? What makes the characters in the movies, heroes or villains jot down those ideas and add them to your primary idea capture system 5. Heroes, Villains and Case Studies: of speaking of heroes and villains. In this video, I get into how you can use heroes and villains and case studies when it comes to heroes and villains. You can use book or movie characters as inspiration, but you can also use real life examples. Here's an example of a fictional character and a real life example for fiction. We can use Superman as an example, and a block post title would be what Superman can teach you about blank. Here's a nonfiction example. Donald Trump's biggest successes and failures and what bloggers can learn from them. Consider using current events for inspiration. But unless sets the focus of your blawg, don't overdo it. Now let's get into case studies. Case studies are one of the most valuable types of content you can create for your readers because they take abstract ideas and make it clear how to apply them. For example, I could write a case study about how I used specific methods for coming up with block post ideas in the case study. I could include the methods I used, the amount of time I spent working on the ideas and the number of ideas I came up with in that amount of time. I could also include any struggles that I had while using the technique, what worked and what didn't and how. Implementing the strategies impacted my overall site traffic. The great thing about case studies is that they don't have to be just successes. If you don't mind being vulnerable, share where you felt along with your successes. You can also do case studies related to other people or businesses as long as that information is available. Here's an example of how that would work. Let's say that a topic you want to write on has to do with building a successful brand on YouTube. There is a lot of information about YouTube channels that is publicly available. There are even free resource is out there, such as social blade dot com, where you can find out all kinds of information about other you tubers, pick the top 10 channels and comparing contrast what the channel did and the results when you present case studies give people takeaways that they can apply to their life or business 6. Successes, Failures, and Stories: in this video, I get into how to use your successes and failures and personal stories to inspire blonde post ideas. First, let's get into successes and failures. Think of sharing your successes and failures as a light version of a case study. Case studies often deal with hard facts and numbers. Successes and failures can involve a simple story that illustrates a point. Here are some possible titles for this type of post My top five blank, your industry or niche failures and what I learned from them about blank, my worst day as a blank. I can't believe how much blank happened when I did blank, and this could be good or bad. This surprisingly easy blank made me blank dollars. You get the idea when writing about your fellow years start off by answering. If I had it to do all over again, I would blank, for example, in my bloggers Quick Guide, Siri's The third book I wrote was the bloggers Quick guide to starting your first WordPress blawg. Did you catch that? This was 1/3 book in the series, and do you think that perhaps that should have been the first book in the series on blogging. Yeah, me too. The only problem is, I didn't think of it at the time. In fact, I didn't think at all about how the different books in the series might fit together or what they would even be before I started writing the first book. And so if I had it to do all over again, I would have planned out the main topics for the Siri's before writing the first book. Writing about failures is pretty easy. And, you know, I think that most people like to read about people's failures more than their successes, successes, air, good to write about as well, because people can learn from what you did right, and they could also inspire people. But they could be a little bit tricky because it can seem like you're bragging. So when you write about your successes, be sure to Sprinkle in a healthy dose of humility as well has. No one likes someone who brags all the time. Now let's talk about stories, collect stories on a regular basis. You never know when the story may come in handy. Things that happened to you, that air seemingly unrelated to your niche often make the best stories to use in your block post. For example, as a young Army wife, I was pulled over on base for a random inspection. As part of the inspection, they went through the contents of my trunk. Later that day, I was horrified to discover that there were photos of naked, amazing, hated men in the trunk of my car. I always knew that one day I would use that story somewhere, and I ended up using it in the post What I learned about blogging from the naked man in the trunk of my car, which I've linked to in the Resource is PdF in the project area of this course. Here's another example. As a young woman, I over packed for a trip to Europe. The heavy suitcases got the best of me at a train station. I use that story to illustrate what happens when you overload your life. I've included that story on a pdf in the project area of this course as usual, jack down the story in your blood post idea capture system, and when you add the stories to your idea capture system, jot down some potential ways that you can use the story. And by the way, if you haven't done this in the past, I think back to some funny, sad or crazy things that have happened to you in the past and write them down in your idea capture system. 7. Your Own Blog: in this video, I get into how to use your own blawg as inspiration for more blonde post ideas. Sometimes the best place to find block post ideas this right underneath your nose on your own blawg. One way to do this is to write a spinoff post. By doing this exercise, you should be able to come up with at least 10 blonde post ideas. Here's how it works. Number one First, grab a piece of paper, a whiteboard, a notebook or something else to write on. Across the middle of the page. Draw five circles in the circles, right, the titles of the Last Five Blood Post you've written. Next, Take one block post title at a time and see how many different spin off block post you can write that are in some way related to the original post. For example, write a post based on a question left by one of your readers. Take a post that is theoretical and write an article that helps people implement the theory right. Oppose? That presents the opposite point of view for every idea that you come up withdrawal a line from the original circle to a rectangle and jot your idea in the rectangle. And when you do this exercise, haven't anything goes type of attitude. Remember, just because you John an idea down doesn't mean you need to use it. Let's say that you do this exercise starting with five Original Blonde Post. Remember, he started by drawing five circles on your paper. Let's say that you come up with five potential spinoff block post ideas for each one that would be 25 blogged post ideas. And remember that the challenge that I'm presenting to you is to come up with only 10 blonde post ideas. That means you can eliminate 15 of the ideas and still have plenty of ideas now. Admittedly, this method works best for established bloggers, but I do have a temp for newer bloggers. If you haven't yet written a lot of blood post Instead of doing this with your blonde post , use your blonde post categories as your source of inspiration. 8. Holidays, Special Events, Questions: In this video, I get into how to use holidays and special events as well as clients, customers and block readers questions. When working on coming up with block post ideas, be sure to consider the various holidays. Here are a couple of examples of the types of post that holidays can inspire. First Martin Luther King Day This holiday can inspire block post about perseverance, peaceful resistance, how to be a history maker or someone people in your industry remember forever for this particular holiday. You can also write about things more specific to the holiday, such as prejudice and racial inequality. If those topics fit with the overall theme of your blawg for Christmas, you can write gift giving guides the greatest gift of all. How to deal with family relationships and went to recipes and Halloween time. You can write about the scariest moments in business at Easter, you can write about how to resurrect a dying business. Relationships a garden at New Year's. You could write a post, such as why every blank deserves a fresh start. How to start the new year off with a bang, how to set goals for the New Year and so on. For each of these, I simply thought of what the holiday represents and then thought about how that could relate to Block Post. Next, let's get into how to use questions. People ask you to come up with blonde post ideas. This is a method of coming up with block Post ideas that was made popular by Marcus Sheridan. In fact, he's written a book on the topic. Marcus conducts workshops for business owners who need to come up with blood content. Among other things, he has everyone with the company write down questions that customers and prospective customers have asked. They generally come up with more than 100 ideas at a time. Now, you may not have a team, and that's fine. You can do this exercise by yourself as well. Simply jot down every single question that people have asked you related to your business. Many times people ask me a question via email. I use that as inspiration for my next block post. I write and publish the post and then send the person who emailed the question to me. A link to the post on the Resource is PdF in the project area of this class. I'd linked to an example of what time I used a question sent via email as inspiration for a block post, so be sure to check that out. 9. Use (Almost) Any Object: in this video, I get into how to come up with block post ideas using almost any object. When you look for blood post ideas, you'll find that ideas air everywhere and in fact they're probably sitting right in front of you. Here's some tips for finding block post ideas using almost any object you see at any given time. First, pick an object any object. Don't think to malignant heart about it. Just select any object that pops into your head or that you see in front of you for the sake of example. The object all use is a car. Jot down the parts of the object as an example of car has tyres. Steering wheel breaks mirrors an engine, etcetera. Next, make a quick list of uses for the object again using a car as an example, Car is used to transport. People could be used to get you to work, to take a vacation to visit a friend, etcetera. Next, jot down problems associated with the object. Car problems include things such as costing money, breaking down, potentially causing damage to objects and injury to people etcetera. Then list out all the possible ways that what you've written relates to your topic. Whatever you do in this step, have an open mind, even if you think that the object you've chosen doesn't relate to your topic at all. To prove it to you, I'll continue using a car's example. And please note that when I originally wrote this, I had no idea where I was heading with it. Car parts and how they relate to blogging. First, the steering wheel here, some blood post ideas inspired by the steering wheel. What direction are you heading with your blawg? Or how about how to know it's time to change the direction of your blawg brakes? Now let's look at what ideas you can get from breaks. What is slowing down the progress of your blog's? How about things you need to stop doing for your blawg to succeed? Next safety belts. Five WordPress Plug ins to protect your blawg. How to keep your blood from being hacked. How to avoid blogger burnout The engine. How to fuel Blonde Post ideas. How to give your blawg a tune up the body of a car. Sleek, blogged design elements blog's themes that will turn heads the horn ways to get people to notice your block without annoying the crap out of them. I could keep going and come up with numerous ideas using each of the starter ideas I mentioned earlier. But I think you most like we already have the idea and can apply this same thinking related to any object to your niche. 10. Blog a Book: in this video, I get into how to block a book if you've ever thought about writing the book but feel overwhelmed by it or if you feel like you don't have time to write a book. And Blawg blocking a book is a way to kill two birds with one stone. I won't say this is easy, because you essentially have to come up with an extensive outline for an entire book. But once you do, you'll have blocked post ideas to keep you going for a long time. As an example, let's say you're going to write a 30,000 word book and your block post are roughly 500 words each. And that would be enough content for 60 block post, since it's a good idea to make some of the content exclusive to the book. If you held back 10 of those posts and then a road a few extra things for the book, you'd have enough blood post toe last a year if you published one a week. One thing to be aware of is that if you blogged your book while you can publish it on Amazon, your book won't be eligible for KDP select. Now, the purpose of this class isn't to get into the ends and out of KDP select. So rather than explain what it is all linked to the KDP, select terms and conditions in the resource is pdf found in the project area of this course , one work around when it comes to blogging. Your book and the KDP Select restrictions is to write your book one block post at a time. But wait until your book has been live for 90 days before publishing the blood post. The reason for this is because your commitment to K two B select last for 90 days. If you decide to go this route, just make sure to un enroll from KDP Select before your commitment renews for an additional 90 days. If you're interested in blogging a block, I recommend the book How to Block a Book by Nina Amir 11. Other People's Content: in this video, I get into how to use other people's content for blood post ideas. Now, when I say to use other people's content for block post ideas, I don't mean blatantly ripping off their content. However, you can read blonde post by your competitors and think about how you could write on similar topics. But from a different perspective. For example, you might have a completely different opinion and write a rebuttal to someone else's post. If you do this, be sure to link to the original post. The best way to get ideas for block post from your competition is to spy on your competition. As mentioned earlier, Spying isn't the same thing as stealing. Look for inspiration. But don't simply rewrite what another blogger has published. Now that I have that out of the way, here's how to go about getting blocked. Post ideas by spying on your competition. Do a Google search for a top your niche blog's, and obviously you would fill in your niche and take out the little arrow things when you do the search. For example, if your industry is the dental industry and you want to see how other dentists are using content marketing. You would type into Google Top Dental Blog's look at several of the blog's and bookmark any that look especially good. What you're doing here is creating an idea resource library. Once you've bookmarked them, you can go back to them multiple times. As you do your research. Check out the types of content they create. Do they have written content podcast interviews? F ake use tutorials? What types of topics do they write about John down the main subject areas? One quick way to do this is to look at their blood categories. You can also quickly skim through their recent blood post to get a feel for the topics they cover. For example, in the blogging itch, I may see that some of my competitors right about how to make money blogging affiliate marketing, WordPress tips, etcetera. Next, look for popular content, for example, which content has a lot of comments in social media shares jot down ideas for how you could write on similar topics in a different way. One key way to keep from ripping off other people's ideas is to make a couple of notes regarding ideas that come to you as you scan the blog's of your competition. In other words, don't write detailed notes from someone else's blood post. Instead, simply make a note of the ideas someone else's content brings to mind. Keep it sparse. 12. Curation: Another way to use other people's content is to write curated articles. When you curate content, the best way to do it is to write a post where you linked to the other content. You can write a summary of the other post and then add your own thoughts about the topic. As a bonus, you can use this as an opportunity to reach out to someone else in your niche and let them know you linked to their article. Most bloggers appreciate this, and while you shouldn't expect anything in return, they may share the article with their followers. You never know how our relationship may develop from this approach. Feebly is a great tool to use for getting block post ideas, subscribed to blog's in your niche using feed Lee and then regularly scan your feet. Lee feed for post in your niche. Those post can give you ideas for your blogged, and you can also use some of the articles as references in your content. I recommend sending articles that stand out to you and feed Lee toe either one note or ever note for future inspiration and reference. I've included a link to an article and how to send content from feed Lito. One note in the resource is PdF in the project area For this class bus sumo is a great place to come up with ideas for Block Post. It's another way to use other people's content as a source of inspiration. Essentially, the way that it works is to type in your keyword or a keyword phrase, and it will bring up the articles with the most social media shares for that topic. What I recommend is looking at the articles and studying them. For example, What type of titles generate a lot of buzz? How long are the articles? What else about the articles may have caused the article to perform well? Can you improve on what they wrote, for instance, that they leave out some key points on the topic? Could you add some images? Video, audio and so on to the article? Also scan any comments on the article as they may give you some ideas as well. There is a paid version of Buzz Sumo, but for free you can do a limited number of searches in the same way that you curate other people's content. You can also curate your own content. This works best once you have a good number of block post on similar topics. For example, once you have at least 5 to 10 post in a category, you can look at the possibility of curating it. The key with this method is to find related post and then linked to them in a new post. Use the title of the original post as headings in The New Post and hyperlink to the original post under each heading right a summary of each post for this curated content, you can use titles such as The Ultimate Guy to Blake or My Top Post on Blank. 13. Content Repurposing and Guest Contributors: in this video, I get into content repurpose ing and using guest contributors, I dive deep into the topic of content repurpose ing. In my book content repurpose ing made easy, and I also planned to publish a skill share class on that topic, so be sure to check those out. Here's the basic idea of how that works. Take content that you've previously created and either add to it update it or put it into a different form. For example, you can take a block post and use the content in it as material for a podcast. Or you can take one of your videos and create a written blonde post using the information in the video. And now let's talk about interviews. Interviews are an excellent way to have other people create content for you. Naturally, you need to prepare for the interview by coming up with good questions to ask. Sometimes that takes some research into the person or company. The interview can be. Audio, video or written written form is the least demanding for you, since all you have to do is come up with the questions and then edit and upload the written answers. Return to you. Template available on my site via Opt in. Ah. Linked to that in the resource is pdf in the project area of this class 14. Series and Trends: In this video, I get into Siri's articles and trends. Serious articles are an excellent way to create content That Google loves. The basic way it works is to keep adding to a previously published post and then republish it. Keep the same your URL as the original article. Each time you republish the article with new content, you can let your email subscribers and social media followers know that you updated the content. This is a great way to end up with a blood post that's an ultimate guide to something in your industry. For example, let's say that the original article has 800 words at 800 more words to it a few weeks later and re publisher article that is now 1600 words. When you had another 800 words to it, the article is then 2400 words, and so on. Depending on how far you want to take this, you could end up with 10,000 words for more on this one article. Not only will this be a great resource for your readers, assuming it's a quality article, it will likely also be shared a lot and rank well in Google and other search is studying trends is another way to get blocked post ideas unless you have a site that needs frequent updates such as celebrity, gossip, sports or new site. I generally recommend writing evergreen content in case you're unfamiliar with the term evergreen content, its content that is still valuable in the days, weeks, months and, in some cases, even years to come. But there's something to be said for writing about trending topics. For example, in the election season, blocking about any of the candidates may bring some new traffic your direction. The traffic may be short lived, but if you write post well and provided links to some of your other content, it may be a way for people to sign up for your email list and so on. You may just gained new fans. Just be sure that the way you spend the topic fits with the overall topic of your blawg. You confined trending topics on Facebook and Twitter and Google trends 15. Themes and Lists: in this video, I get into how to use themes and list. If you've ever been responsible for planning and preparing your family's meals, you know how challenging it could be to come up with ideas week in and week out. One of the best things I ever did that made this easier was to come up with themes for different nights of the week. For example, cooking Italian food on Monday, Mexican on Tuesday and soups or stews in the winter or main just salads in the summer. Every Wednesday, I still had to plan, but just having those themes in place made my life easier. For example, I knew that on Tuesday we'd have either tacos, tamales, enchiladas, fajitas or nachos. It seems on your block can also provide a framework that makes coming up with ideas easier . For instance, you may have a motivational Monday video every Monday, a regular blonde post on Wednesdays and a case study every Friday. Or if you block just once a week and you have four main categories on your block, you could publish an article related toe one category the first week on article related to another category, the second week and so on. Now let's talk about Ultimate List Post ultimate list Post are often very popular, and our shared a lot because they are a great resource for people. Here are some examples of titles for Ultimate List Post the top 10 Honeymoon Destinations. The Ultimate Guide to Blank The 50 Best Resource is for blank the top 25 books for Blank. The point of these posts is that they help people find what they need on a particular topic . For example, if you were looking for a great place to go for your honeymoon, ah, Block Post that had 10 honeymoon destinations would help you out tremendously because someone already did a lot of the research for you, as is always the case. In addition to just listing the items and linking to them, be sure to add at least a few sentences for each item explaining why it's the best or what your readers congee gain from the specific resource is or items you recommend. Now let's talk about dividing post. Have you ever noticed how conversations sometimes meander? You start off talking about one thing, and before you know it, you've talked about several other things as well. This meandering also happens at times when we write the thoughts, maybe good ones, but perhaps a bit off from the original intent and topic of the post. If you find this happening, instead of deleting the off topic portion of a post draft cousin, paste it into a new document and use it as a basis for a new post. 16. Researcher, Comments and Experiences: in this video, I get into how to use the researcher option inward comments and experiences of friends and family for blood post ideas. First is the researcher option in Microsoft Word. And depending on the version of Microsoft Word that you have, you may or may not have this option to see if you dio up at the top of your word document where it says, Tell me what you want to do. Type in researcher if you have it. When you do so, it will bring up a area in the right side bar where you can search for research materials. It includes excitable sources, quotes and even images, and it will even build a bibliography for you so you can use it not just for blonde post ideas, but for content to help you create the post. As an example of how this helped me come up with an idea I never would have come up with on my own, when I typed in the word blogging in this tool, one of the things that came up was an article on blogging in Iran. Among other things, it gave the history of blogging and Iran, and how when, following a crackdown on media and Iran, blogging was away that people could provide and find political news. I could use this article not just to write about blogging and Iran, but how Blogging gives people a voice. You never know what you might find through this tool, but be sure to check it out to see if it's available in your version of Microsoft Word. Now let's talk about comments on block posts, YouTube videos and in Facebook groups. I previously mentioned getting inspiration for blood Post from comments on articles you find on Buzz Sumo. You can also do this in other places, such as on YouTube videos in forums and private Facebook groups related to your industry, and so on. The comments that people leave, which often includes questions or frustrations, are a great way to discover ideas for content that will help your target audience. One. Kavita is to not use the comment verbatim without permission. Sometimes the experiences of friends and family members will give you great ideas for blood post. There are a couple of things to be aware of here. The first is to respect the privacy and dignity of others for example, if your child does something that would provide a great illustration on a block post but could embarrass them if you share it, be sure to ask them for permission first. As an alternative, you can use the basics of the real event and then change some of the details, such as gender, name and other identifying information to protect the identity of the person that is the star of the story. 17. Amazon: next is Amazon. Amazon is a treasure trove of ideas for blood. Post. First check to see what books are selling best in your niche. I've included a link to the Amazon bestseller list. On the Resource is PdF in the project area of this class. While books are different from Block Post, scanning through the best sours can give you a hint about which topics air doing well. Next, read through the table of contents of books to see the types of things covered in the books . As always, you want to use this information not to copy, but for inspiration. Finally, the reviews also gives some insights into the types of things that people like about the book or even better, what they don't. Sometimes the negative reviews give insight into what people really want to have covered in that niche. To give you an example of how this works, I picked a topic outside of my niche and spent 10 minutes on Amazon to see what I could come up with. I decided to look at the best sellers in health, fitness and dieting, and in 10 minutes I came up with more than 25 ideas for blood post titles. Here's a small sampling. Number one is the whole 30 Diet A scam number two is the whole 30 Diet healthy Number three . What is the whole 30 Diet number four. What are negative calories Number five. How to develop healthy Eating Habits Number six Top 10 Green Smoothie Recipes Number seven European Secrets Toe Happy Living Number eight How Toe Have Joy in Any Circumstance Number nine Pregnancy Myths and Fairy Tales Number 10. I came up with a dozen more ideas in 10 minutes, but you get the idea. I know that I chose this topic on a whim, but even so, I was able to come up with some potential block post ideas very quickly. And, as is always the case after evaluating them, I would perhaps choose not to write some of them. But I'm sure several of them would work 18. Title Generators, Jargon, Negativity: in this video, I get into title generators, jargon, keyword tools and negativity first blogged post title generators, and I have to admit that I offer this suggestion with a bit of trepidation because it has some real drawbacks. At the same time, when used correctly, it provides some excellent block post ideas. The way that block post titled Generators Work, is that you plug in a topic related to your blogged, and the block post titled Generator Will has the name implies generate block post titles. The good news is that it's easy. The bad news is that sometimes the titles generated are well, amusing at best and horrible at worst. For example, when I typed in block post titles into it, the first suggestion was why Block post titles are scarier than Tyra Banks. Somehow, I don't think that's quite right. Let's try another one. Why Mom was right about Block post titles. Now this one has possibilities, since it would start curiosity, that is, of course, assuming that things my mom or a typical mom says could apply to block post titles, Here's another one. How Block post titles changed. How we think about Death. Wow, this one is even worse than that. Higher Banks one. Let's try just one more What experts are saying about Block post titles. Okay, this one is the best one yet. So here's the deal. I shared these computer generated titles with you to make a point. Nothing replaces the human mind when it comes right down to it. This little title generator doesn't understand my topic or my audience. What it does, however, is spark some ideas to which I can add a human touch. If you decide to use a block post titled Generator, check out the three I'd like to. In the resource is PDF in the project area of this class. Next is jargon. Most industries have industry specific jargon. Make a list of the jargon in your industry. You can then write a glossary post that explains all the jargon, or you can devote individual block post for each term. For example, in the blogging industry, C T A, which means call to action, is a common acronym. I could write a blood post about how to write a compelling call to action. Next, our keyword tools he were tools such as being or Google are great ways to find blood. Post ideas is a basic way that they work is the type in a keyword related to your industry and see what comes up. As is always the case, not all the ideas are worth using, but many of them are. One of the wonderful things about using he word tools is that you can see how many people search for those keywords which can help you evaluate whether or not they are worth using. I've linked to two keyword tools, and the resource is pdf in the project area of this class, so be sure to check that out. Next be negative. I am a super positive person, so it kind of rubs me the wrong way to suggest that you use negativity to come up with blood post ideas. But regardless of your industry, there is some negativity. For example, if you have a natural health blawg. You know, some people think natural health is a sham, and instead of being defensive about it, address the criticisms head on right about the concerns and what to do about them. Do your best to present the information in a balanced manner, and you just may win over some of the naysayers. Here's another example. Let's say you own an appliance company, and one of your products is glass topped stoves. You can write an article about the five top problems with glass tops stoves. You can then, of course, include information on what to do about the problems. One reason why these types of posts are so effective is that people look for negative information on something before making a commitment. If your article address that issue and yet assured me that the problems were not wants to be overly concerned with, or that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages that would encourage me to buy one, hopefully from you. So the bottom line is don't shy away from writing about the negative aspects of your product or industry. This honesty will help make you a trusted source that people will go to again and again 19.
