About This Class

Creating content isn't an easy task, it might not be as physically hard as carry rocks for living, but it is DEFINITELY as mentally tough as establishing a successful nuclear fusion, or something around that area!

Content creation is hard, is difficult, you have to take many aspects into consideration when creating your content, whether you are procrastinating from making tiktok videos, procrastinating as a youtube from creating youtube videos, procrastinating as a designer from creating your next design, it is always hard!

For example, when it comes to procrastination for me as a youtube, I always procrastinate from scripting my videos, I mean they are only about 3 pages long of words, but I have to take too many aspects into consideration, how I am going to edit that part, how I am going to film that part, if that shot is possible, the sound design, too much, it is just too much for me not to procrastinate.

The helpless feeling of not being able to bring yourself to get out of bed to finish the work, you promised yourself to complete...

I'm Gamica, a YouTuber, and an online teacher, and I also struggled with making youtube content, figuring out what I was doing wrong and how to fix it, and I made this skillshare account to share with you my faults, and how you can avoid falling into the same traps.

I started my YouTube journey in 2015, making making skit videos copying my favorite youtubers. I then went on to creating 8 different youtube channels and 600 videos all over YouTube.

Welcome To The Class!: A Day in The Life of a Procrastinator waking up 2 hours later, Than you promised yourself to. convincing yourself to quickly check TikTok for 5 minutes, which quickly adds up to an entire hour of waste. Slowly, After your morning routine, you are in your desk ready for work. But like, I mean, hey a few of your favorite youtubers just post the new video. I mean, they are only three videos. Then we can get back to work. Wow He did what. Oh, I've got to see that. Okay. Now I'm going with youtube. It's time for me to continue writing my load with our, oh twitter, I forgot to check Twitter. Let me just see what's up ,3 hours later. It's five pm. I mean, it's like already pretty late. I will just skip workday and we can start fresh tomorrow. But you never do. do you? you just wake up every day repeating the same routine. It takes you like ten days to put in 10 hours of pure work. Procrastination. Procrastination is a problem that lots of creators suffer from. Like I mean, who is going to punish you if you didn't post that video. If you didn't take that freelance job, if you didn't finish that design, if you delay your study to the next day, if you delay your work, to the next week. I know how you feel, the guilt Dragging you down. I knew how hard it can be because I have been there, like 6 months ago, I was falling into the depth of procrastination every day and every night until like one day, I decided to delay all the work and problems I need to face just for me to face my biggest problem, Procrastination. I read books and articles on procrastination. What should hundreds of videos try? hundreds of strategies applied hundreds of tips. And in this class I will walk you through. 1- the psychology behind Procrastination. and why you procrastinate. And 2- the systems to use to win over Procrastination. hopefully decided that you are going to stick throughout this class because I can promise you there is a lot waiting for you. 00:01:54.890 --> 00:01:57.935 I genually spent 50 days creating this class. coming up with examples and short stories to help my points across making the class as short and as concise as possible. So that you don't have to go through the same struggles that I already went through. 2. The Procrastination Scale : You are not allowed to get up from the chair. You are not allowed to sleep. I got busy and so the distracted me from my primary goal, deleting something you wanted to do that you know, you need to do from one day to the next, from one week, there is an x. One day throughout my procrastination was learning 3D animation. I was talking to a friend of mine about me wanting to run this 3D animation. You lost me a random question that actually struck an extreme amount of motivation in me. He asked me, how long is the glass and it just hit me is a class in total which just like 5 h of learning material, let's say 10 h. If I need to keep your brain lessons every now and z, let's say z as the hours equals, I will need to practice the material while I'm watching the class. I can learn how to create 3D animations. Pause : Organize, Prioritize: I had a very bad habits and was devastating to my football career when I was a kid. Once I get the ball from my teammates or you would just keep running and running towards the goal. I wouldn't disturb until I'm near the goal, Xin, I will take my shot. You can make a new life. You get sure towards his own motivation throughout your months. Today, you might be able to hold yourself accountable to only 4 h of distractions at the end of the day. But the next week, you might not be as motivated to do so. You might have woken up with a headache, with a bad email for more and you find that your air conditioner is not working in this situation, you will probably fall back to your old habits. You will be vulnerable and your inner urges can easily take control and decide for you if you want to do work or not. But Jamaica alive, who is our short there? Don't go watch and tick box over 6 h. If you want to be heavy, schedule a holiday with your friends at the end. Months, don't go watch in 400 episodes of animate if you want to be having a schedule, a day off in your mind, who are you rewatch the Harry Potter series when you first started your career is like Zen of beautifully woody. They will be off the fifths as well. But the hundreds, they will be much easier. This system is an investment in your future, is the same way as going to the gym.
