My name is good for a new your instructor. Today I'm going to teach you how to import a row voice over into the Adobe Audition CC, and also how to trim unwanted parts in an audio file. For example, removing filler words, such as in that podcast file. Now to start, we need to create a workspace. And it created a workspace, you just have to located a foul button at the top left corner of the software. So you get to new and then you select audio. Here we go. You just have to name it podcasts. Thus the name I'm giving my. Then you click on Okay. So you have your workspace now. It's now time to locate where your file is so you can import into the software. So I've created my foul on desktop. That is podcast editing, tutorial, raw file. So you just left-click hold and drag it into the Adobe Audition CC software. And here we are. Yes, we've got our foul ready and loaded. Let's take a listen to this file now. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, host and I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super great for everybody listening tonight. Okay, so you've heard the audio file and obviously there are some filler words in there. For example, this and this and this. Now we need to remove them. We need to get rid of them. And in doing so, firstly, you need to zoom in, okay, So that's you know, exactly where you need to target the filler word and gets rid of it. So in zooming in those Zoom bar here, okay, top here, where the QSR is, thus the zoom bar. So you just located the tip of the zoom bar. Okay? You'll click on it. And then you zoom in. You click on it, drag into the left, is zooms in. You can do same. Click here. Drag it to the right, is zooms in. So now let's zoom in and locate where the floats are. Zooming in and then you need to drug it. Okay? And in Dragon aids, same way, you just left-click on the zoom bar and then you drag it to the left or to the right. Serbia boots to locate where the particular filler word is. So let's see. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, the host. Okay, so there's one filler word here. Right? We need to get rid of it. So let's zoom in. Zoom in. Okay. So you're located the edge of the zoom bar and then you left click hold and drag it to the left. You can zoom in to get into the details of where the filler word is. Okay. And I'm along. So in getting rid of a silhouette, it's also important for you to locate where the next sentence starts from. So with this particular phrase, and I am along on this journey, the next sentence starts from, and I'm alone on this journey. Okay? So you locate, you put your red marker like this, and then you left-click hold and drag. Where the filler word is. Give it to play. Yeah, we are We have our fellow at town for us to cut it out because we don't need it. Okay, so in keto-enol to just have to click on Delete button. And then we're good to go. So filler word is out. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, the host. And I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super grateful for it. Okay, So there's another filler word here, grave, using the same method. Okay, so you locate where the next phrase start from. That is at the back of that filler word. So you just have to make sure that you don't cut through the freeze. So you need to zoom in. Then you drag it. Zoom in. So you see where the cursor is. If we should cut it now, it will eat into the next sentence, which of course will make it sound fake. So you locate where you can cut. All right, so there's what I read because ice and there's our filler word. We left-click hold a new drug. Then you hit the Delete button, then it's gone. Let's take a listen or super brave for everybody listening. Okay. Raven for bravery for everybody listening, right? So there's another filler word and some unwanted noise here tonight. Tonight. So you apply the same method. You left-click, okay, you locate word and white and next sentence starts from you left-click. You hold, you drag to the left, then you hit the delete button. And the same applies if you are working on an audio file and maybe there are some repetitive words, you can use the same method to get rid of them. All right? And there's an unwanted noise here. You just hit the delete button and it's gone. So basically that's how you import a raw voiceover into the Adobe Audition CC and also gets rid of unwanted part in that audio file by way of removing filler words, such as in that podcast. 3. Reducing Background Noise & Breath Removal: Hi, Welcome to the podcast editing course. My name is good for a new your instructor. Today I'm going to teach you how to reduce background noise and also how to remove breath from that audio file. So let's get to it. In reducing the background noise. First, you need to locate a blank space, okay? And in our previous teachings, I taught you how to zoom in to locate a particular space. So let's locate a blank space. There's a blank space here. Okay? You left-click hold and you drag to the right. So you can select or highlight that space. Then let's take a listen. So there's breath. Okay? Now, there is breath together with noise. And in this case, we are reducing the background noise. Okay, so if you are editing your podcast and you want to reduce background noise, this is the exact process or method you need to use. Let's get here after highlight in the blank space or select and our blank space. You get to the Effects button, you click on it. You come to noise reduction and restoration. It opens up another window and then you select noise reduction process. Here we are. Okay? So there is a box here, the DB box. You can actually control the level of reduction being aids given its higher number of dB. But mind you, the higher the DB, the poorer the quality of the audio file becomes. So you can just click on it and then change the numbers, clear it by using the backspace. And then key in the number that you want it, that 1720. But I prefer 15 before because 15 is more like standard, okay? So use 15 and then you come here. Sharma is print. So we captured a noise print shows in the wave here. Then you apply. Okay? So now you see it's love with only the breadth, the noise is totally gone. Alright? You apply the same method by clicking on effects, coming to noise reduction and restoration noise reduction process. And then this time you get to select entire file because you want to apply effects to all the file, okay, so you click on apply. Now it's been applied to all the file. Alright, here we go. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, host and I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super. Okay, so let's get to where we can remove the breadth. I think there are some breath here. Now host. Okay, now let's zoom in. Zoom in. Drug the zoom bar locates wider breadth is okay, so this is where the breath is. Okay? So use a red marker. You left-click hold and drag to the right. You can also left click here, hold and drag to the left. Whichever way. Let's take a listen. So that's the breath right? That you've heard it. Okay. It's time for us to remove that address. So in removing the breadth, you see there's a control volume here. I just amplitude. Here is how to lower the DB to negative down dB, negative 000 dB. They inhibit. The breath is gone. It was like this. And after reducing or removing the breath, sounds like this. Dead. Okay. Let's take a look. I'm along. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, host and I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super. Alright. So basically that is that how you can remove breath and also reduce background noise in an audio file class simple, Let's try it here as to how we can remove the breadth, or probably any unnecessary noise right here. Okay. So you just have to lower the DB to negative 000, give it a plate. It's gone. Alright, so basically that's it. That's how you can reduce background noise and also remove breath from that particular audio file. My name is good for you. I'm your instructor. 4. Voice Processing: Hi, Welcome to the podcast editing course. My name is good for INO, your instructor. Today I'm going to teach you how to process that's row voiceover to make it better sound quality and fantastic. If you could remember, we used this same file as the Raphael, who are able to cut out a necessary part in the audio file by removing fill awaits. Then we came to reduce in background noise and also removing breaths. Now it's time for us to process the voice and make it sound fantastic. Let's give it to play. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson and host. And I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super, okay. Now, in process in it, you come to effects. There is this possible effects that you can use. That is amplitude and compression. Okay? Amplitude and compression, you come too hard. Limiter had limiter because ice SI unit to click on it. Then you get to the window here. I mean, you can have the folds distorted, heavy light limit to negative one dB in the maze to negative three dB and all of that. But medium is actually the standard because it doesn't make the sound blast or this taught, right? So you should be, I select medium and then you apply. Okay, so far has been boosted. Let's come into play. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, the host. And I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super. Okay. So now let's get to how we can actually add some other effects. And remember, when you are processing a voice-over, don't overlap process it. Don't add unnecessary EQs or effect. It's cool, make it distort and it will make it sound red. Now let's get into our other effects. There is this effect especial. Okay? Now you select special, then you get to mastery. Click on mastering. There are lots of effects here, but I prefer Club master because it makes us sound heavy. And Claire, click on it, then you apply. Here we go. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, the host. And I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super, okay, Right now, it's time for us to apply one more effects that will make it sound more beautiful. Okay, So let's see, there is another effect here that's the parameter parametric equalizer. So you click on the parametric equalizer, top on it. It has more effect here, acoustic guitar, beefy snow for resets, generic high-pass, but loudness maximizer gives it more stereo, okay, gives it more tutors. Makes us sound super Claire to the air. So that's what I usually use. Then you apply. Okay. Let's take a listen. All right, welcome back to another recording of pencil leadership. I'm Chris Anderson, the host. And I am along on this journey to learn, just like you all are so super okay, So here we go. You've been able to process our voice-over now, and of course, it sounds fantastic. So therefore, if you want to process your voiceover or your podcast episode to sound fantastic. Well, I know now you have a clue and you have all the details about how to do it. My name is good for a new and I'm your instructor.
