this link or you can even click on
this download link. And now we have
the three options. We have the Windows, we have the Mac, and
we have the Linux. So I'm using the window, so I'm going to select
the video option. And it will give you the
option of 64-bit and 32-bit. And it will automatically
give you the download option. So I'm going to save this. And it will download
my EXE file. And now you have to
open the folder. And now we have this file. So you have to
double-click on this file. Now you have to allow this. Yes. Select your language. Click on Next, click on
Next, select the path. Click on Next and click
the Next and install, and it will install the file. It is as simple as it. Now you have to click on
Next and click on Finish, and it will launch your old St. So now click on the Okay, and we have this
Audacity interface. So guys, this is how you
can download and install the audacity in your
operating system.
3. Overview: So now guys, we are
inside Audacity. Now if you want to record your audio all you
have to do this. Click on this record button and it will now
record your audio. This is the dB of your audio, and this is the
waveform of your audio. So now if you want to stop
this recording audio, all you have to do just click on Install button and it
will stop your audio. And now if you want
to play this audio, you have to click on
this Play button. And you can pose display
audio from this pole butter. Now, if you want to record
your audio from this end, all you have to do
this click here. And now we have this vertical
black line at the end. And now you have to click
on this record button and it will now record
your audio from here. And you can even pause
your recording audio from this pause button. As you can see, this is the representation of
the dB off my audio. And now my audio
recording is top. Now if you want to continue
with the recording, all you have to do just click
on this pause button again, and it will now record
your audio once again. Now let's stop the audio. And we have this wave form. So now if I play the
audio and it will record, we have this from here, a volume and you can even pull, this is the blood volume. And this is the
code. Once again. Now if your audio is an
art according in Audacity, you have to select
the right input from this drop-down menu. For example, if I select this microphone and now
press the record button, as you can see, we
have the flat line. It is now not
recording my audio. And as you can see in this
microphone DB recording level, we don't have a level. So I can stop this
audio and now select the right input and now record. And now it is now
recording my audio. And as you can see, we have
this audio recording level. Then we have this
audio waveform that indicating that your audio
is now being recorded. Now stop the audio. And now if you want
to do this junk, all you have to do
just double-click, press backspace, double-click
and press backspace. And now it will
delete that chunk. Now if you want to
listen to the audio, all you have to do this, select your output from here. As you can see, I'm
using my headphones, so I'm going to
select the speaker at Florida Tech from
this drop-down menu. Now guys, let's go
to the menu bar. Now in the menu bar
first, we have our file. Now in the file you can create a new project and you can use
the shortcut key control. And you can open a project or a file using shortcut
key control. Or you can click on open. You can open recent file
from this drop-down menu. You can close this project or using the shortcut
key Control W. You can save this project and use the shortcut
key Control plus S. You can finally explored your audio indifferent extension
in this drop-down menu. Now let's go to the edit. Now, in edit you can
undo your action. For example, I delete a chunk of audio in this section
so I can undo this. And you can redo your action. And it will delete this again. Now in the gut, you can drag this chunk of an audio
and you can click on gut, or you can use the
shortcut key Control X. So I'm going to use the
control key, Control X. And now you can paste your audio by using the
shortcut key control. And you can delete this by
using the shortcut key lead. And now we have the copy. You can use the Control C to copy and you can paste
this junk in here. If I press control C, control V, as you can see, this is the same audio. And now you can also, in the boundaries, you can
split and join the audio. So how do you do that? So let me just show
you, for example, if I want to split
this audio into parts, so I'm going to click here
just simple click here, vertical black line will appear. So go to the audio, God with the clip boundary
and users control I shortcut. Or you can just click Split
and it will split your claim. Or if you want to join this
clip, all you have to do it. Just, just select this area, go to the Edit, go to
the clay boundaries, and just click on Join or
Control Z to undo my action. Or you can just simply click this line and it will
automatically join your audio. Now let's go to select. And in this slide we have a feature that even I don't use. So let's go to the view. In the view we have the
Zoom in, Zoom normal, zoom out, zoom to
selection, and zoom toggle. And we have the
shortcut key as well. And now we have attracts. So how do you do that? You have to press Control one, it will zoom in control to it resumed normal control three, we have this zoom out. And now if you want to
zoom customize yours, all you have to do this
press Control and use your mouse wheel to zoom
in or zoom out the audio. And in the view, we
have our track size. As you can see, we
have attract size. So all you have to do this. Come right here and
press Control and use your mouse key and it will
zoom your audio wave form. So this is a shortcut
way to do that. So now let's go
to the transport. Now in the transport you can
play store with the space. You can place job
and sad cursor. By using the X. You can play once and store by
using the Shift Space. And you can pause your
audio by using the P, or you can use these buttons. And now in the recording,
we have the record, we have the record
new drug by using the Shift R. So if
I press Shift R, So now it will record, recording my audio
in a new track. Let's delete this track. Now in transport, next
we have our scrub ruler. We have our scrub. If I press this, we have
this line of parity. As you can see, if I drag
my cursor to the right, it will play my audio
to do died side. If I drag my cursor to the left, it will simply
follow the cursor. I'm just going to uncheck this. And now we have a cursor
select to the star, to the end, et cetera. And we have our loping all
you have to do just press it and it will locally
or audio, for example, if I play my audio
of your audio, your audio, and this
is the waveform. This is a looping code, your audio section,
all of your audio. So now it will play
only this part over and over again in a loop. So if you don't want to use the lobe, all
you have to do this. Click on this button. Now in the drag we have
add new mono track. You can add new tracks. You can mix drag, you can remove drag. You can mute or unmute, or you can use this
button right here. Then we have other
option as well. So guys finally go to
the effects and you can add the effects from
this drop-down menu. If you want to apply the effect,
all you have to do this, select your audio, go to the
Effect and select effect. So for example, I'm going
to select this echo effect. And you can also
preview this effect. Now I'm going to
apply this effect. Now, our effect is
applied only in this area and you can
even pause your body. So guys, you may be
wondering why I skipped select 200 analyze tool and effect is because you
don't need to understand everything about the audacity
to improve your audio. Even I don't understand
these action and I still can improve my audio and
sound like a professional. And now finally we have a drag. Drag. You can name your track. For example, I'm going to name this track one and it
will appear right here. So now we can also multi-view. You can undo this. You can use this spectrum, or you can use the waveform. And now we have a color. For example, if you have a multiple audio about
different things, all you have to do is select the audio and give it a color. We have a four color. And now we can swap
stadio general. We can split audio stereo track. You can stay steadier to mono. And we have these formats. Now we have this, the RDB of the audio. You can also decrease
this, integrates this, or you can set this to 0, which is the normal dB. And you can change
your channel from left to right to the emitter. And then this arrow, you can
just minimize your audio. Guys if you want to
clear these bars. If you want to refresh
your Audacity, all you have to do this. Go to the View, go
to the toolbar. And we have this reset toolbar. For example, if you
change something, like press this button,
press this button, or you can just drag
this right here and drag right this area
and drag this writers. So if you want to fix this,
all you have to do this. Go to the View, go to the
toolbar and press reset. And it will reset
your interface. If you want to clear
this low barrier, all you have to do
this right-click. You can use this
by clicking here, or you can right-click and clear the looping agent
and it will clear this. And if you don't need these things and you want
to hire these things, all you have to go to the View, go to the toolbar. And you can just uncheck these and it will
remove that area. As you can see, I'm
removing these. And now we have this. If you want to just really excited these
all you have to do it as click on Reset and it will
reset all your interface.
4. Compressor: So now guys, let's
edit our audio. So first I'm going to drag
this audio in Audacity. I'm going to zoom out and
first listen to them. My name is present. And we are going to
improve this audio. Now guys, I'm going to remove the background noise
and improve this audio. So all you have to do
it as double-click. Select your audio track, go to the Effects. First, select the compressor. If you have this waveform, select the compressor, we
need to compress this audio. First, we need to tweak
some settings here. Select the compressor
based on beaks. Change the threshold
to minus 12 db, Jane the noise floor to minus 40 dB and
gender ratio to 1.11. Now January attack
time to 0.20 seconds. And Jane the release
time to 1 seconds. And now click on Okay, and it will compress our audio. Now if you listen to the audio, hi guys, My name is present. You can clearly listen to me and you can listen to
the background noise. So this is how you can apply the compressor in a right way.
5. Removing Background Noise: Now guys, we applied the
compressor to this voice. Now we're going to remove
the background noise. To remove the
background noise first, we need to get the
background noise. So I have a background noise
right here, this area. And we have these area as well. So before you record your audio, you need to store for a five to ten seconds
to get the noise. As you can tell, I have
these 2 second noise. So I'm going to select this area and now
go to the Effects, go to the Noise Reduction. And first we have our
noise reduction value 12. So if you increase this value above 12 and get
the noise profile. Now, if you select all
the audio and now go to the effect that the
noise click Okay, now as you can tell, we have removed our
background noise completely, but I'm sound like a
robot in this audio. If you listen to
the audio, hi guys, My name is present and we are
going to how to fix this. So select the noise, go to the Effect, go to the Noise Reduction and set the noise
reduction dB to 12. Saturday sensitivity to 6100. So we can see the smoking ban 23 and now check the reduce. Now get the noise and now
select all the tracks or audio. Go to reduction again. And now click Okay. Hi guys, My name is present. And we are going to
improve this audio. Now as you can tell, we
removed our background noise, but we are not
completely done yet. Now we apply the noise
reduction to our audio. Now we are going to
apply the filter EQ. So first you need to
select the audio, go to the Effects, and select the Filter curve AQ. And as you can tell, we have this graph. So I'm going to set this to default and tell you how you
can draw this graph first, we need to increase this. And now we need to go to the one hundred five hundred hertz, sorry, and set a
point right here. Now we need to go to the 100 hertz and set
a point right here, and then drag this
point to six dB. We are adding a
base to our audio. Now in the 4 thousand hertz, we need to set up
what here as well. And now we need to add a
point beside 6100 hertz. So right here. And then drag these 26 db. Now click Okay. So now our filter
curve is applied. So now as you can tell, we have a beggar noise as well. So I'm going to select
the background noise. Again, go to the
Noise Reduction, get the noise profile, select the audio,
go to the Effects, and now applies reduction. Hi guys, My name is present. And now our noise
reduction is applied. So if I select my
noise right here, you can tell in
the playback level we have a background noise. So how do we fix this? How do we remove all
the background noise? So select the audio, go to the Effect, and
select the noise gate. And we need to tweak some
settings right here. So I'm going to Jane my
gear threshold to minus 30. And now I'm going to change my level reduction
to minus 30 as well. Now finally, we need to
change the decay to 230. And now click Okay. And now as you can tell, our background noise
is completely removed. Well, if I play, my
name is based on and we are going to
improve this audio. So as you can tell, we don't
have a background noise. We completely removed
our background noise.
6. Graphic EQ & Limiter: So now guys, we're going
to add FAQ to our roles. So select the audio, go to the Effects and
go to the graph EQ. And in the graph EQ, we're going to add a
base to our audio. So go to the Manage, go to the factory reset and
select the baseball's first. And now click on. Okay. Now let's go to the
Effect and go to the graphic you once again and this time go to the
Manage Factory. Pretty sad, and select
the treble boost. And now click, Okay, Hi guys, My name is face-on. And we are going to
improve this audio. So as you can tell, we
apply the graphic if we add a base to our audio. Now guys, we apply the
graphic you to our voice. But if you listen to this part, we add a base to our voice. But if I play the part in
the playback level 80, I guide, which mean it
is crushing our air. So how do we fix this? So all you have to
do SAT element. So select the audio, go to the Effect, and go to the limiter. And now in delimiter, all you have to do just Jane, the minus three to minus
ten. And we are done. Hi guys. My name is face-on. And we are going to
improve this audio. So now if I copy this, press Control C and
paste the new audio. And now if I press the solo, it will only play this audio. Hi guys, My name is face-on. And now if I play this audio, you can listen to the
changes that we made. Hi guys, My name is Visine. So clearly this audio is
better than this fall. So guys, this is
how you can apply the effect to our audio
to improve our audio. Now if you want to delete this blank space, all
you have to do this. Select, press, Delete,
select press Delete, and then select this area
plus lead. And we are done. My name is bizarre. Hi guys. My name is face-on and we are going to improve this audio.
7. Audio Effects: So guys, we have some
other useful effects as well that you can
use in your audio. So select your audio, go to the Effect. And
you can select it. If I preview this. Hi guys, My name is Visine. Hi guys. My name is Visine. So it will solve your audio and it will add audio to your audio. As you can tell, we haven't got a playback value at minus 24. So if you want to fix this, all you have to do this, go to the Effect and now
select the normalized set. Check the remote DC, check the normalized peak, uncheck the normalized stereo. And Saturday V2 minus three. And now click Okay, Hi guys, My name is face-on and
we are going to improve this audio via some
other effect as well. So if I select my audio, go to the Effect, we have the low-pass filter. If I preview this, Hi guys, My name is based on it. Add a base to our voice. Hi guys, My name is based on and we are going to
improve this audio. We have some other
fun effect as well. For example, we have an EQ effect and we
have changed the speed, change the pitch effect. If you drag this
to the left side, it will dance your voice. And if you drag this to the right side than you
sound like achievements. Me just set this right here. Oh wow, wow, wow. These are the fact that you
can apply it to your voices.
8. Improve Mobile Audio: So guys, this is the audio that I recorded in my mobile phone. I want you to focus
on this level. We have the left level and
we have the right level. Hi guys, My name is Jason and I am recording this
audio in my mobile. So as you can tell, they are two different level. How do we fix this? First, you need to go
to the track and then go to the mix and then
make stereo down to mono. And now if we listen
to the audio, hi guys might have the same
level, left and right. So now how do we
add it, this audio? So guys, I'm going
to edit this audio and I will make this sound
like a professional audio. So I'm giving you a sequence. If you apply this sequence
to any of your audio, then you sound like
a professional. So first we need to apply
the noise reduction. Then we need to apply
the filter curve EQ. And then again select
the background noise. You get the noise profile, select all the audio, and then apply the noise
reduction once again. Then we have a slightly
background noise Alvarez. To remove that, we need
to apply the noise gate. And then we need to
go to the graph EQ. And now go to the Manage. And in factory preset, we need to select
the bass boost. And now go to the graph EQ again and apply this
time treble boost. Now go to the Effect
and apply limiter. Now you may be wondering
why I don't use this time compressor
is because the, my audio is already compressed. It is because it is
recorded in a mobile phone. So now if I play
my audio, hi guys, My name is Dan and I am recording this
audio in my mobile. Hi, guys. My name is Dan and I'm regarding this
audio in my mobile. So my background noise
is completely to move, but this is not a
background noise. This is my mouth. Air noise. So you can't
really move this. Hi guys. My name is Jason and I am recording this
audio in my mobile. But if we add our
Audio, our audio, and compare this
to our new audio, then you can tell the
difference that we made so far. Now if we listened to
the original Hi guys, My name is Dan and I'm recording
this audio in my mobile. Now listen to our edited audio. Hi guys, My name is Dan, and I'm recording this
audio in my mobile. So guys, this is how you
can improve your audio. This is how you can improve your mobile audio in Audacity.
9. Multiple Audio: So suppose if you have
a multiple voices, multiple audio, how you can add it to multiple
audio at once. But before we added
multiple audio at once, you need to understand
one thing that your voice is recorded
in a same place. For example, if you
record an audio in indoor and if you record
an audio and outdoor, you can add it that
audio in one place, you need to edit
them separately. But if you added them
in the same place, in a same background noise, you can then added that
voice in one place. You can add multiple
voices in one place. For example, I'm indoors, so I'm going to record my audio. So guys, this is audio one. And now if I right-click, Add a stereotype and now
record another audio. Hi guys, This is
audio number two. Hi guys, This is audio. Now I can add it this
audio in one place, but if I record this audio in different
places, for example, this audio, if I record
this audio in one place, in second place and third place, then I can add these
audio in one place. So if you want to edit this, all you have to do this. First, I'm going to
do select noise. Then Control a to
select all the audio, and then go to the
Noise Reduction and apply the noise
to all the audio. Now I'm going to apply the
compressor for example. And now it will apply the compressor to all
of my audio guide. This is how you can add
multiple audio in one place.
10. Export: Now I'm going to
export our audio. So there is a two way
to export our audio. First, you can right-click here, and then export your
audio from here. You can set your file
name and you can change the extension
from this dropdown menu. And you can go to the
File, go to Export. And now you can set
your extension right here and give your file a name. Now, click on save, and it will save your audio. Guys. Suppose you have
multiple audiences, how you can export
multiple audio files at once instead of exporting
them individually. So go to File and
go to the export. If you want to export
a single audio, you have to select audio. So for example, if I need
to export this audio, all I have to do is
select this audio, go to the file, and then export selected audio. I selected this audio. So I can export this. But if you want to export
these all audios at once, you need to go to the File, go to Export, and then
select the export multiple. Now here you can
change your file, but you can select a folder. You can change the format. So I'm going to select
my format to wave form. And now click on Export. And now this is audio
number one click okay. This is order number to click. Okay. This is the
information that it gives you that this
audio is now being X4. So now click Okay, and now our three audio
is export at once. So I'm going to go
to this folder. So now guys, this
is the audio number one or number two
and number three, as you can tell, we
have a number 123. And if I go to the
right-click Properties, we have this property, this is export in 16 June. So guys, this is
how you can export single or multiple
audiences in Audacity.
11. CONCLUSION: So if you apply these
effects in a sequence, then you can improve your voice and sound like a professional. First we have compressor. If your voice is not compressed, then you can use this fact. But if your voice is
already compressed, then you can skip this effect. Now we have noise reduction. Then we have filter curve EQ, and then we have noise
reduction again. And then in the fifth
number we have noise gate. Now we have graph EQ bass boost, and now graph EQ, treble boost. And finally, we have limiter. So these are the
sequence effect. If you apply these effects, then you can improve your voice.
