1. Introduction Video: Yes. Hello and welcome to New York. Chilled zone, so to speak. This course is about how to connect creativity in South can, because I believe they can be connected very well if you do it right, and if you know some tips that I will share with you, this cost is for professional creatives as myself, and also for people who just use creativity as a, as a hobby in their free time. Everybody will benefit from this course. So I chose a very relaxed setting myself. This is just for you to listen to me and just to grab something to drink. And just enjoy these minutes in these mini, mini cost. 2. Lesson 1 – Time & Place & Generosity: So first of all, the first that I would like to make is to be creative and to relax at the same time. You should have a time and a place for it. So there should be a clear setting for it and you should, you shouldn't be in a hurry. Really, the worst thing that you could do to your creativity. So this is also, this can be a tricky one because the first step, trust me, it's very good to plan so that at least you know, you don't have to, you don't get into a hurry. So let's say for example, uh, you, you have anything to paint, something, right? So you have all your equipment ready, you have your paint to add to your Canvas, and then you need the time as well. So you can just plan to finish this into hours because this will put you under pressure from the beginning and this is like poison to your walk. So plan, plan, wall ties. If you are very quick, fast, then you might be somebody who can paint something in two hours. But in general, I would just take half a day for something that's slightly bigger or more depending on the format and the complexity of it. So yeah. Than double than twice as much time as your first guess would be because there's so much more to it. You just have to get everything ready. You have to put on the right music, maybe all you have to get The you'd have to get to the right place. I'll pick out the right place. If you let's say you're working outside off and you're not working in the same room all the time, especially now that they're in. So these are all things that take a little bit of time and that's why you should be very generous with time. And the second one that plays into this is the place. The place has to be correct for your work. So you can't, probably, you won't be able to be creative. Let's say super mini room with no windows or like a window, that's this big bet. So what I suggest, what I feel is important is you have a grade and that natural light. Even if that means to ask friends to come over to them, or using a co-working space or working outside from outside. And so, and so on. So try to plan this and try to arrange this so that you have a nice place to work and where their side, when you have fresh air, you can open a window or something. And you just feel just feel good about the place. You have everything you need, you can get something to drink and so on. So all your knee, your basic needs are met. Then the surrounding is makes you feel safe. And at the same time, like there are possibilities for you. You know what I mean? Sometimes the place feels like a dead end. It's very hard to put into words. And don't work in such a place that feels like at work in a place that feels like an open space. Because you will work with the company, the different energy there and then. 3. Lesson 2 – Shape Expectations: So the second bit is expectations. Especially now it's for everybody, not already if you're a professional, creative, it's, this goes for everybody. So I give a lot of workshops, drawing workshops, for example. And many people have high expectations of themselves. And at the same time they feel like they can't, can ever meet expectations. So like one example, I can't draw. I can't sing, I will never be able to do this and so on. So you have to, in order to be relaxed from the beginning and really to make your creativity is something that boosts your energy. But where you have more energy afterwards, then in the beginning. And instead of draining you, which we do not want. So in order to create energy for yourself and your creativity, your patients have to be very relaxed and they can be kind of super high so that you will inevitably disappoint yourself. So this has to be in check from the beginning. So what I suggest and what I like to do is just to do the end, to just do things without expecting any, any masterpiece to come out of it. Because then you are relaxed and then you can actually create something that really surprised us in how graded this after our water. Really. Of course, goal setting is important and all of that. But creativity is something that looks a little bit different than many other things. So for creativity, at least in my personal opinion, you have to be, to an extent you have to be open and receptive, right? You have to be like an open hand that's ready to receive something. And now, instead of trying to grab something all the time, You know what I mean? So you have to be laid back into it to a certain extent to really create something that you like and the end. And then it relaxes you if that makes sense. So what I like to do in the beginning, I do a drawing exercise when it's when your practices drawing. For other types of disciplines of creativity, this can be a different exercise. So for example, for drawing and just take a pencil and a large piece of paper and just do the motions with a colleague from my arm. That just intuitively happens. So I don't really plan to draw this, this and that. So it's, it's more about just setting dynamics free. And they can be different every day. Every day, your energy and your creativity is slightly different. This is what makes this so wonderful and surprising, but gives you the opportunity. Surprise yourself over and over again. So really start this with a relaxed mindset. Sit down with your equipment and remind yourself that you are doing this for yourself. And that you, you are trying, you doing this in order to relax and do this, do this exercise if you're drawing. So for example, if you are doing something else, if you're a photographer or a single, work with clay and try to mold something, then find the equivalent to this. So try to work with your materials without having to create something. And I'll do this as a warm up exercise. Because then you will get into the mode of not having to a farm. A certain thing. Because I just never, uncreativity is never an exact science. Most of the times it is. You always need this element of free expression in it in order to create something that inspires you and also can inspire. 4. Lesson 3 – Use Swarm Energy: Lesson is about maybe a little bit unexpected, but very powerful and I opinion and my experience. So if your work and if you can work completely alone, I'm allowing evil person myself. That's the reason why I'm sitting here on a sunny Sunday recording this course and just enjoying the fact that nobody is here. So that's out of the question than I really understand you. But if you're open to this, consider working in a space where there are other people, but they aren't focused on you and asking you things all the time. This is not the setting that I that I recommend. I would recommend setting where other people are working on their own staff. At the same time. Altogether, there is an atmosphere of creating and people doing their thing. This can be almost contagious so that you become more, I feel this become more productive to do my own stuff and to work creatively and to feel relaxed at the same time. When I'm in a room with people who are all focused on their own staff. So they're not trying to make conversation with me all the time. But there's this overall energy. And yeah, just just try this one out and please comment if you felt the same way as me about this, because I'm really interested about your perspectives on this one. To get into this energy of I create some stunning and everybody's creating stumped. 5. Lesson 4 – Create Your Rituals: So next, what I find very important is to have my rituals. So I recommend you have your rituals. When you're doing your creative, have everything that creates this for you. For me, it's music. So I have my noise canceling headphones that really create this capsule around me. And you can just completely focused on everything and try to try to find the right music for yourself. Don't try only one music, Sharon, and conclude that it's not for you. Try to try different ones. So I love to listen to span music while I'm working. I also love to listen to ASMR videos and sounds. So this is, for example, when somebody is your headphones make it appear as though somebody is giving you my head massage, scalp massage or something. Maybe you find this very freaky, but I find it very useful. Really creates this, yeah, this ritual feeling for me in which my creativity flows. And I feel very charged with energy when I've finished. So I can work for hours and hours by doing this without feeling exhausted. Also, let me know. If you're trying this tip for the first time. Of course, you can light a candle. If you're working during the day, you can still light a candle. You can put on some essential oils. So for me, what works best? Citrus, like lemon and lime oil, orange oil. And sometimes I put it into a bowl with water or I just put it into my wrists, one drop each. So make sure you're not having an allergy or like a reaction to this. My skin kind of total writes. It's not like if your skin is very sensitive, you can also put it on just some, some, some tissue paper and put it next to you, then this will evaporate the essential ions. So what else can make it shorter? So we've already spoken about music, Nitin to send. Which time of the day you're working. If you're a professional artist and you're working at all times of the day. But there are some times that are better types of things that you're doing. So experiment with that and try this out. What can I do best in the evening? What can I do best early in the morning? And really organize your day according to this so that you have the optimal situation. And of course also here don't add too much because it shouldn't be like a number of beauty. Ideally, it shouldn't be such a strict schedule for you. There should be some space. Go outside. You don't drink enough or have enough exercise, which will take me to the next font. Just to have the mind space for creativity in the end, because there's really takes a lot of space literally. And you can kind of press it into a strict schedule. So keep it to Spacey and stick to your rituals. As soon as you know if, if they lack. 6. Lesson 5 – Make Your Moves: Next time is we'll physical state. So I'm not here to kind of tell you what, how, what spots to do and all that. But your physical state is very important for creativity leave. You couldn't, you couldn't always do need it. So if I want to be productive as an artist, I'm really, really make sure that I have my activity every day. So you get what you can do. What I recommend is do some yoga in the morning. Even ten to 15 minutes, really helps. Because then your whole body will do more smooth and you will be able to sit longer. If you have a sitting at creativity, if you're expressing your creativity while you are sitting and for example, drawing on doing something on your computer or whatever it is. And also have a data structure where you have to walk some distances every day. Because while working, while walking, you have the best. You oftentimes you have the best ideas when you're not really working on it. But you're just walking somewhere to get food or to walk your dog or something else. And you're, in this time your mind is kind of running free and a little bit. And I can tell you enough how much is like a catalyst for good ideas. That being said, I enjoy activities. I recommend doing yoga and walking or running every day, even if it's only for a short amount of time, it just makes it. 7. Lesson 6 – Recharge: My last point is to get enough sleep. Again, I don't want to be the teacher that kind of tells you what to do. But if you want to have my advice, then really make sure that you have your eight hours of sleep every night. You can also wear like sleep tracker, smart, ResNet, or you have an app on your phone. They're also available for free. That kind of tracks your sleep phases. Because what I recently found out is that when I plan eight hours and I go to bed eight hours before I have to get up, then my sleep time isn't eight hours. It will be way less because every night I awake for about one hour. So my my bracelet told me this. I hope it's right. I hope it's true. You have to plan one hour or more. Actually, if you're like me, maybe usually like a stone and if you go to bed at eight hours before you have to get you have your eight hours. Who knows? But just make sure maybe find a way to find this out or just simply take one hour or more of time to sleep. I know for everybody is busy, very busy. Nice that this may sound very difficult. But then again, if I'm honest, I just have to watch one episode last of the series are just switch off my phone and my social media at one hour earlier than I have. So maybe in the end, it's it's doable and really try to take one more hour, one hour more of sleep each night and to kind of protect the snooping time for other things that feel that you have to do. And just awake, refreshed in the morning and see how well this works for your creativity, for your well-being at the same time. So I hope you liked my mini workshop, so to speak. I hope you could take some notes and watch it again. Take a hold of everything that I shared with you, some fat. If you like this workshop, please like it. I'm very happy to have your comments as well, your questions. Just place them underneath and not just get back to you as soon as I can. And also let me know if you find this type of workshop interesting. Because now I've just made creative workshops completely about creativity itself, about drawing. And for example. Now I'm just trying to kind of bring the things that I find interesting and that I find relevant together a little bit more. To connect this. Yeah, this overall well-being, self-care and creativity, because in my personal belief, you can only be a good creative if you take care of yourself. So this is a very, very different opinion to the old believes the artists always have to suffer in order to create good at, in order to be at their full potential. So I've really covered so far to say the opposite is true. And to be a good artist, you just have to take care of yourself. Altogether. This system S decision for your grade.
