Intro and Planning Art of Professional Portrait Retouching : Welcome to the intro and planning of this course. In this lecture, we will outline what are the things that we need to walk or what are the things we need to do on, on this portrait? It means because we are going to take this portrait and we're going to rehearse this image. So first of all, as you can see, this image is not properly exposed. Over here. We have lots of shadows and it is not properly exposed at underexposed, so we are going to fix the exposure. Okay. I think. Okay. Let me take this red color. Okay. So first of all, we are going to fix the exposures, some highlights, some shadows. You're going to open up the shadows on this side and on this side. And we're going to fix some details. We're going to fix the lens distortion. As you can see over here, we have some lens to associate. Maybe you are not able to see it, but lens distortion is always there. So since this is a raw file, so we can easily fix the lens distortion on this. And by the way, you can go to the last section and download this, this role image. And you can walk along and practice what you learn from this course. And all of these basic adjustment we are willing to do in the Adobe Lightroom. And then we're going to take this image in Adobe Photoshop. And there was, first of all, what we're going to do, we will fix some skin flows. Let me, I think we are not able to see it. So there are so many skin dots which we need to fix. Okay? So we are going to fix all of those, okay, using the clone stamp tool. And once we are done with that, what thereafter, we are going to smooth out the skin using dy, frequency separation technique. And frequency separation technique is very easy and a very effective technique using a which we can easily smooth out the skin and at the very same time we can keep the textures of the skin intact. So that gives you the profession results. So almost all the professional editors or the professional photographs, photographs, they always use the frequency separation technique to smooth out the skin and to keep the textures in Dhaka. Uh, so basically for the model, beauty shots and the fashion shots, it is always the frequencies have ration which is being used. However, there are other options as well, but frequency separation is what you can do within the Photoshop itself and you don't need any third party plug-in. However, if you want, you can use the third party plugin such as the portraiture and Nick color effects pro for. And in that there is one filter which is called the dynamic skin soft node. You can use that as well to smooth out the skin, though they are very far, but the cost to you a little bit money, but I am going to show you the simple way using which you can do this within the Photoshop and you don't need any third party plug-in, okay? And thereafter, we will enhance the eyes you can see at this moment. We have the, I guess it's very, very small. So we are going to enhance those eye catches and we will add more life and more more interest in the eyes using the catch. And this is a very simple technique and you would love this technique. I apply this technique to almost all of my portrayed amazes. And then we are going to fix some length lips as well. So v are going to make them little red and we will sharpen the eyes, okay, and sharpen the lips. A hand here, you can see over here. And thereafter, we will calibrate this image. And for this purpose we will be using the color effects for which is a third party plugin. And but it gives you a lot more control. And Is very fast to use, so that's why I'm going to use the neck color effects row four, so you can use that. And thereafter I'll show you how you can even color grading using the Goes adjustment layer so you don't need a third party plug-in. Okay, So I've shown you the techniques using the third party plug-in as well as how to color grade the image within the Photoshop itself. And thereafter we'll finally fix this background. You can see the speculum and is not consistent on this side, we have lots of color. On this side we have less, It's less saturated, it's too much saturated. And thereafter, we will add some light that convert light source on this site. As you can see, we have the light coming from this side, but this area is little darker, so we are going to fix them. For that purpose, we will use some light source or some lights over here. So we'll add some artificial light on. We can fake the light over here in the Photoshop. And thereafter or thereafter we will also SON dozing and burning. So we will chose and burn. And if you don't know what is those and bond and let me tell you then dosing and burning is basically darkening the shadows. I had lightening the highlights so you can see wherever you see the lights or the highlights, this lighter area, we're going to make it more lighter. And wherever you see the dark color, dark shadows, dark hills and everything. So we are going to bake them even more darker. And that fee, we can easily bring automobiles. And you can see once we are done with the losing end burning, you will see that now the image and God, more interest and more death. So there are so many techniques to those and bone, but I'm going to show you how you can do and bony using the curves adjustment because it's more easy and more flexible. And you can also download my amazing Photoshop actions, which has lots of actions and edge. So you have the dose and bone action as well. So you just need to press Play button and with just one click, it dosing and burning layers are ready to work on. And it has the sharpening actions, it has the SDR options. It has so many other, at, so many other actions as well which are very useful for the portrait retouching. So you can use all of that, but I'm not sure on how to use them in this lecture because I have shown you how you can do it from the scratch so that you know, you should know how you can do that. And if you want to, then once you know how how it is done, then you can use the Photoshop action to save the time. So all of this are going to achieve in this lecture and at anytime, any point of time, during or after the lecture. If you have any quotient, you can directly ask me in the question answer section, or in the comments section, or you can mail me at harsh at the rate, harsh weather than our two.com. So thank you so much. See you in the next lecture and let's dive in and start editing this image. 3. Basic Adjustments-Portrait Image Retouching : So we are going to retouch this image, and this is the Adobe Lightroom CC, the latest version. So we're going to add it, this image into this. So first of all, I'll go for the auto option which is over here. You can see right now, oh, here. Let me zoom in to show you. So this is the Autobahn. So I can admit for us and to undo and if I press auto, it automatically adjust all these sliders for us and try to give us the best result. Alright? So OBS. And though the auto has already fixed most of the problems, but we are going to just do some adjustments according to our own liking. So I will do bring down the contrast a little bit and increase the exposure a little bit. And let me bring down the highlights a little bit and open up the shadows little bit more. Okay? And let's add little bit black. And let's add a little bit white, okay? And that way we'll get some more exposure on this image. And then on the clarity, I'll increase the clarity a little bit. Maybe like 55 is just fine. And I will increase the saturation a little bit. Not that much, Okay. So that we get some richer, warmer tone in the skin. Alright? And basically this has been short with the 85 homelands. At me show you the stat. So it has been short to 85 MM Nicole F1 bind eight lens. And it has been short by one by 1 sixth of the second and aperture F1 bind eight and the ISO 100. So if you press I on your keyboard, you will see the stat name and then the camera stat. So you need to best 2 times on your keyboard to get these stats for any image in the Adobe Lightroom. Okay, and now let's come over here in the detail Spanner. And in detail Spanner will work on the sharpening and noise reduction. And before we should work on this, we need to join in this image so that we get to see what we are doing. So over here, we can increase the sharpening. You can see now the image has been sharpened way too much, which is not good. So it's always good to keep it under 50, alright? And then there is the option of masking, don't touch the radius and details because of the radius and the details, you can adjust how much details you want to, okay? So if you can increase, you will get more details and similarly with the radius as well. Okay? But what I found that the default setting is best and it works with almost every image. Okay, and now I'll increase the masking. So I need to press Alt or option on my keyboard and drag this slider. So that way you will see this mosque option. So what this masking does is basically it shows me or it shows me that where the sharpening would be applied. And it also has a me to limit my sharpening or on the area where I want to apply the shopping. So basically, using this technique, you can just limit the sharpening only on the as-is. So now, if I zoom in and show you if I bring down this masking, let me bring it over here and bring down the masking. You can see everything is sharp and you can see on the skin tone everything. But if I move this slider up, you can see now our skin tone remains intact. Skin is intact. It has not sharpen, whereas the eyes and all these edges are sharp and okay. And then we have the noise reduction options. So using this, we can reduce the noise. As you can see, it has some greens, it has noise. So if I just increase this noise reduction, you can see how small to the skin has become an IT has taken away all those grains. But be careful while you can because that also take away the details from your resumes so little bit green is fine, but too much grain is not. Okay. So if you have much of green, you must deduce that because that will not lowered. But if you increase this luminance slider to wait. Your skin would look, as you can see, that would look fake, doesn't look good. All right, so it's always good to keep intact from the skin and as at the same time, you'll make it smoother, Okay? And you can adjust the US and play with DTT options. So Details panel is basically shows you that at the moment its activity. So it shows that you can keep the detail or it's telling the Lightroom that you keep the details to 50 percent and remove the noise from rest of the 50 percent details. Alright? And you have a soup can and colors. So if you have sum is then can be helpful. Did that. Similarly, it also has the same details and smoothness option. So if there is a color noise, specifically, as we don't have here, then you can just remove that the scholar often, okay? But, um, that, I'll get something like this already. And then we'll come to the lens correction. Okay, so let me zoom in to show you as you can see here, we have some this green fringe or green distortion or chromatic aberration. So we need to remove this. So for that purpose, we need to come over here on the lens correction option and just check this one. Remove chromatic aberration. And most of the time it works. And though it has worked, but it has still left certain fringes over here. So we can fix that later on and then check this Enable Profile Corrections, okay? And what this would do, it would automatically detect your Lens Correction. Lens, which lends you have used. And you can see at the moment it has elected the new icon profile. And this lens, nikon F, 85 MM mm Hg lens and profile as well. And then it has fixed the distortion and the vignette. You can see the vignette effect on the, as is, is, has been removed by this option. Okay? So now you can see the chromatic aberration is not completely removed on this image. So what we can do, we need to come over here in the manual option, which is over here. And once we'll pass that here, we have all these options. So we can distort it. We can differentiate with the help of this IP kernel color picker tool or color selector tool. So we'll take this tool and we are going to make a selection on this green color. Okay? And the moment we have selected, you can see it has taken away that color. All right, so just by clicking, you can take care of that chromatic fish or that French very easily. Okay? So, and once you are happy with the result, you just press it once again and you are good to go. Okay, now we don't have that purple fringe. All right, and now let's come to the effects panel and add some lenient because I like the vignette effect around the image so that our focus remains on the model itself. So bring down the rhenium a little bit or let it be this way. We'll add that in the Adobe Photoshop, okay? And then we have this option of calibration. So using this weekend edges, the tints and hue or saturation of different colors. Okay? So let me just add, change the hue of red. So let me make it little bit redness in the skin. I zoom in to show you. If I drag it into the cell and see the skin has now started getting dead. If I do the right side, it becomes a law. Okay. So let me bring it down. Not that much. Little bit red. So I think minus five is fine. Can add it to the image. Okay? And then we have the green hue so we can adjust all of these. Basically have x2 to get some gross processing or where you want to give some cinematic effect where shadows are of different color using the this split toning, using the split toning panel, which is over here. But I'm not going to do this over here. I'll take this image to the light or to the Photoshop. And then I'm going to do rest of the editing over there. Okay? Now this one is just fine and let me right-click and select edit in Adobe Photoshop. So what is now adobe Lightroom is doing. It is going to launch the Adobe Photoshop, as you can see. And it is going to launch it over there and bought the programs would be connected with each other. So whatever editing I would do in Adobe Photoshop, that would be reflected over here. So that's the workflow where you can work in Adobe Lightroom and in the photo show. 4. Skin Retouching Removing skin Flaws Portrait Image Retouching Masterclass : All right, so now you can see that it has known as the Photoshop and has opened this image into the Photoshop. So first of all, we are going to fix some skin flows, basic inflows from the image. So for that purpose, I'll create a new blank layer over here. And then I would go over here in the spot healing brush tool. So you can simply press J S with and make sure you click on this sample, all layers otherwise. Otherwise this is not going to war. So let me zoom in by pressing space and with my mouse I can zoom in and start painting wherever I see the flows or notes or any sports which I want to remove, I just have to paint over that. And it's going to take care of that very quickly. And it moves the hairs as well. So this is very easy to work with. You can easily remove all these sports and flows from the skin. 5. Skin Retouching frequency Separation Portrait Image Retouching Masterclass : Now I'll zoom in and you can see by turning this on and off the before and after. So we have successfully removed all these stains and flows from the skin or from the face. Let's create a stamp copy or the most popular of all of this by pressing Control Alt Shift E or Command Option Shift E if you're using the Mac and then create two more copies by pressing Control J or Command J. So refer to rename the bottom one as the law and the toe phone as the high frequency. So we are going to do the frequency separation on this image. So we're going to smooth out the skin. So we've done all of the high, first of all, and select the layer, which is over here. And then we'll go to the Filter blur and the Jews, the laws in blur. And Gaussian blur will choose a radius where we don't see much details in the eyes or on the face. So you need to increase the radius until you don't see the final details in the face or on the face and press. Okay. And now let's zoom in. You can see now we have made the entire maze blurry. Now we need to turn on the highly on. So we'll select on this little icon, icon and it's going to be visible now. And then we'll go to the image. And we will select the Apply Image. And from this source, we will select to the from this layer, select the law. And from the Blending Mode option, we'll select these, subtract. And we'll choose the scale to 20 and the offset is 128. And then we will press, Okay. And this is the default value which you can have. And then we'll press Okay, and then we need to change the layer blend mode to Linear Light, vivid light. So we'll go for the linear light and the movement will do this. You can see now we are back with our original image. So we'll group them together by pressing Shift and Control or Command G. And we'll rename it as skin. And we'll zoom in. And you can see now there is no difference between the previous one and this one. But we are now going to walk on this. So we need to select the lower layer, and then we will choose the Lasso tool from here. So we create a duplicate copy of the lower layer by pressing Control J and select the Lasso tool from here. Or you can simply press L on your keyboard to have the x's to the lasso tool. And make sure the feeder is around 10 percent or ten pixels. That we will not have these sharp edges. And now we need to select the area which we want to make smoother. So we'll make a selection and then go to the Filter Blur and choose Gaussian Blur. And we can choose the radius, which we like. So if you want to make the skin more smoother, we can increase it. And if you want to the skin to less smoother so we can decrease it then similarly, you need to select the certain other parts of the skin or the face. And then again, repeat the process. Choose Filter blur and Gaussian blur, and choose any radius you want or how much, depending on how much, finer or smooth you want the skin. So this process go, it takes a little bit of time, but it gives you the best, better result. Reason being that this is frequency separation and it keeps the texture intact. It makes the skin smoother, but it doesn't look fake at the very same time. So now you have to sometimes work. Since I am actually started using the pen tablet and I am not yet used to it. So that's why This is the problem I'm facing. So initially you need to spend little bit more time if you're using the pen tablet and thereafter make the selection. Let me quickly do all of this and all of the phase. I have quickly done this. And you can see by turning it on and off, we have smooth out the skin and at the very same time we have kept the textures intact. So if you are watching in full HD, then you might be able to notice the difference. 6. Enhancing Eyes and Lips & Fixing Eye Bags Portrait Image Retouching Masterclass : Now let's work on the eyes and lips. So create a blank layer and zoom in on the eyes. And choose the brush tool. And it must be soft edge brush with 100% opacity and 100% flow. And make sure the foreground color is the white. If it is not, press T on your keyboard to turn it to the default one and press X to flip them between the foreground and the background color. So now we have the white as our foreground color. So we'll zoom in on the eyes and we'll paint wherever you see the highlights. And you can make the size of the brush smaller or the bigger with the left bracket or the right bracket, as for the need. So similarly for the right eye, Israel, paint wherever you see the light. And you can see now the eyes look super scary, but don't worry, we are going to fix it. And to fix it, It's very simple. All you have to come, you would do is come over here and select the overlay blend mode. So now you can see, now eyes are looking more alive and super amazing. You can see the difference by turning them on and off. Now let's work on the lips. So we'll make it a little bit red. So create a new blank layer, again, soft edge brush with the foreground color as the read. So go to the swatches on this top and select the orange color, the red color, as it is not. Then go to the Windows and select swatches, okay? And start bending on the lips. And you can see this result is really pathetic. You might be wondering that why we are ruining this image, but we are not ruining this image. We are going to fix it very soon. So stay tuned. We are waiting to fix it. And it's not that pathetic, believe me. So let me just first finish this and then we need to simply change this layer blend mode to soft light. And now you can see we have got the natural lizards. So zoom in and you can even change this layer blend mode to overlay. Or soft light, looks good and paint on this area and this is left. And thereafter you can lower down its opacity for how much in density of the scholar you want on the lips. So I like it a little bit natural. So something like this is okay. And you can see by turning this on and off. And now let's fix these eye bags. You can see we have dark circles under the eyes, so we need to fix them. So for that purpose, we'll create a new blank layer and choose the clone stamp tool from here. Or you can simply press S on your keyboard to have the x's to the clone stamp tool and make the opacity to 30 percent. So you can use your keyboard to change the opacity. If you press 1 on your keyboard, this is going to be 10 percent and up to nine, it's going to be 90 percent if you press 223 for 35, 40, 45, or 50. So similarly up to 90, you can turn it to 90 percent. And if you want it to be 100% breaths 0 on your keyboard and it is going to be 100%. So let me press three because I want the 30 percent opacity for this tool. Always go for 30 percent opacity or clone stamp tool. And the second thing which is most important, which we are going to do is change this mode to the Lighten. So that way we are going to lighten these. He begs for the eyes and dark circle because we don't want them to completely go because that way it's going to look unnatural. So we need to press all to sample from the area and start painting over these docs. And as you can see by turning this on and off, nothing is happening. So what's the reason? Reason is this? So over here we have selected the current layer, so we need to make it to the whole list. Otherwise, this is not going to work. So that way it is going to assemble from all the layers below it. And now again press Alt or Option, and they dissemble and start painting on the eyes. On that pay weekend. Lower down this dark circle or we can lighten these dark circular, the dark areas. So let me quickly do this. And now create another blank layer for the second eye or for the right eye. And similarly, again, we'll do the same thing, press Alt or Option, the sample and start bending on these dark circles, all these lines. So you have to be a little patient because we have the 30 percent opacity. So that way it is going to work or give us the natural desert. Though it's going to work slowly, but yes, it is going to give us the better result. So for here, as we'll press Alt and take dissemble and start painting on this area as well. And you can make the size of the brush smaller or bigger with the left bracket and the right bracket. So let me show you. I'll select both of these, show you and press Control G or Command G to group them together. And you can see by this Dunning, this eye icon on and off or clicking on this I icon. And if you want, you can lower down its opacity as well that we will be having the natural Buddhism. So now you can see the difference. We have successfully lighten those dark circles or the dark areas. 7. Color Grading with NIk Color Efex Pro & Curves Portrait Image Retouching Masterclass : Now let's create a stamp copy by pressing Control Alt Shift E or Command Option Shift E. So that way we can create a copy of all these layers which are visible. We are going to collaborate this image. And for that purpose, we'll go to the filter and choose nick collection and choose the color effects pro for. If you have not downloaded the nickel section, go ahead and download it. Unfortunately, this plugin is now no longer free. This has been bought by the dx, so optics and now they are selling it for, I think 39 or $49. So you can download it because this tool is really amazing. It has lots of tools which will help you to take your photograph or photos to the next level. So make sure you download this. It's very, very, very useful and very creative because I use it for almost all of my mazes. As you can see, it hasn't been launched. And now let me show you. It has lots of presets or the filters which you can use. They have been categorized with the landscape, nature's, wedding or traits. Architecture show travelled short. So all of these are going to help you to create the amazing, amazing amazes. And over here we have these filters. So we can change the filter. So I have, I can create one more filter by clicking over here, I can close those filters. So I can no longer will have any filter. So I can press this button to zoom in to 100%. And if I click on this arrow, I have different options. I can zoom into 403%, 100% to 100 percent, and I can go for 50 percent. So we have whole bunch of options over here. So we can easily zoom in to amazed to see the final details. So here we have the Blub bulb option. So by pressing this so we can change the background to white, grape or the black. And with this option, we can close this tab. If you click again, it's come back. And similarly for this one as well, we can close it or we can open it. And by pressing this, we can see the side-by-side view or these lines before and after. And at the moment we don't have any filter, so you won't see it. If you press, press this, you can see the side-by-side option. And if you press compare is going to show you the before and after. And once you are happy you can press Okay or you can cancel it. So this is a basic interface. So let me select the gross processing 0 from here. And over here you can see I have different options for Eigen breast compare this button and it's going to show me the before and after. Once we release it. Or you can simply click on this too or drag this line to see the before and after. And you can even see the side-by-side view. So here is before and after. And you can change the blend mode or if you press this Mac against single-view. And if you click on this little arrow or the triangle, it will show you some more presets. So you just need to hover your mouse over any of these and it's going to show you the real preview of those on how it is going to affect your image. So you can go for the different one and choose any one you like. So for this, well, first let me just browse all of that and let's see which one I like. Maybe this one or this one. So this basically has the color grading process very easily, or this makes it very fast and easy. So let me select this one and rest, compare and see. And I can increase this transform here. Or I can lower down in strength as well with this slider. So let me go for something like this maybe. And I can change the shadows, whether to open up the shadows or not. So I can drag these sliders of the shadows. Or Eigen, low noun the highlights as well or compress the highlights with these two sliders. And let me choose another one, maybe something like this. Increase the strength. And trends compare before and after reserved. Or let's try another one. Okay, this one is also looking good. And. Adjust the strength slider to your liking. And here we have some control options. So if I click on this arrow, it is going to open up the control options. So at the moment, the opacities 100%. So that means it is going to affect the entire image. But if we want it on the certain parts, then we have these two options. So if you have press the Plus icon and I can drag it anywhere. So it is going to affect only that area where I press it. And you can see we have this control point and control point number one. And if I check this, it is going to show us the mass. So wherever there is a white-collar, this filter is affecting, and wherever there is a black color, it is not affecting it. So you can drag it to anywhere you want as well with your mouse. And if you uncheck it, it is not going to show you. That isn't. Okay. And you can uncheck it from here as well. And we can increase the size with this slider. So we can load on its opacity, notes eyes. So we can lower down its opacity. So how much you want this two effect on certain area? And with this slider, we can increase its size. So we can lower down the size, make it smaller, effect the smaller area. Or we can increase the size to affect the larger areas. And if you press Delete, we can delete that as well. So that way we, it is going to affect the entire image. And once you're happy, press Okay. And you can see the difference, but turning this on and off your before and after. So let me zoom in to see what else we can do. So over here, this background doesn't look good. So we'll go to the adjustment and select this curves adjustment from here. And here you can see we can change the blend mode to multiply so that the image would be darker. And we can create a vignette effect using this one and with the softest brush with 100% opacity. With the black color, we can increase the size. Foreground color should be the black because we are going to remove it from the face or the model. So that way, it is not going to affect the modal, but it goings to create a dark circle around the maze. So that way, the whole focus remains or goes back or directed to the main model. You can see by turning it on and off, we have grated slightest of dark circles or the dog as is. And you can paint on certain parts with the byte code if you want them to be more darker. So let me paint over here so that the background would look more consistent. And with the black color Eigen press X to switch it to back to the black color. And I can paint to remove it from the area where I don't want and I can even lower down its opacity if I want to. If I don't want that dark result, I can do that as well. And then again, go to the adjustment layer, select one more curves adjustment layer. And this time, what we're going to do, we are going to select the red color or from this, or read gentle from here. By clicking on this icon. Again, choose the red general by default, RGB selected. And then we'll click on the highlighted area of this, top of this and drag it little bit to add the red colored and drag it down from the bottom. And then choose the green channel. And if we click and drag, it is going to affect the shadows. Because bottom part is the shadows. Middle is for midtone, and the top part is for the highlights. So we can add the green color in the highlights or we can remove it if v1, and let's add the blue color in the shadows. So I can drag this little bit up and read this from the doubt to remove it from the highlights so you can see the difference before and after. And go to the adjustment. And you can see this one, the layer which we have created a vignette effect with. So this is not looking good. So I need to work on this little bit because this is not consistent in the background, doesn't look consistent. So I need to work on this. So I'm painting with the white color to add more of this dark as is on the areas which are left out. So that we will be having a consistent may ground and that way the background look, would look much better. And you can see now by turning this on and off, so lighting is now consistent. And go to the adjustment layer once again and select the selective color. And from this dropdown menu, Let's zoom in and let's change these skin color. We have selected the red color and we have different sliders. So at the moment we're sliding or adjusting the cyan color. And similarly, we can walk with the magenta, yellow, and black. So this is how we can fix the skin tones very easily. And from this drop-down menu, we can select the neutral color. And that way we can collaborate it even further if we want to. So let's adjusted to get the different look. So color selective color adjustment layer is very, very helpful. You can create whole bunch of options with the help of this one. So let me quickly do this and come back. You can see by turning this on and off. Now let's create our stamp copy by pressing Control Alt Shift to you or Command Option Shift T and change this layer blend mode to Linear Light and go to the Filter other and choose the high pass to make it sharper. So we're going to add lots of detail in the maze. And for the people amazes, you choose the radius of one by two, that's fine. So press Okay. So that way you will not have some bending effects. If you increase it, you will get some ugly fix. But with the one buying two radius, you will get the better result. So you can turn it on and off. You can see it has added a little bit extra texture to the skin as well. And it has made the entire amaze look very sharp and crisp. And if you want, you can even lower down its opacity if you think that this effect is too much for your taste or you can change this layer blend mode to overlay, to have the less sharpening or the soft light. So you can go for anything you want. You can see the difference by turning it on and off. Now let's create a duplicate copy of it by pressing Control J. And you can see now the sharpening effect is now double. And let's create a mask with it. And by pressing Alt or option, we can read a black mask. So that way the entire layer would not affect the image. So we'll select the mask. As you can see, we have all the black mask. If you don't press and hold the Alt or option, it's going to create the white mask. But if you want the black mass press Alt or Option to grade the black mask. And now with the brush tool is the softest brush. White color. Start bending on the eyes to make the eyes more sharp. So it has to be solved as brush with 100% opacity. Or you can go for the 50 percent opacity whichever you like. And the flow to be 100%. And start bending on the eyes. Because it's very important to have these sharp eyes. The more details you are going to have in the eyes. You are MAs or your portrait would look much, much amazing. Because it's successful. Portrayed has two things, sharp eyes and the amazing I catch. So you need to have both of these. It's very important. And you can paint on the lips as well to make them even sharper and on the hairs. So since it's 50 percent opacity, you need to paint twice to get the exact result. Or you can paint on the dress as well if you want. And you can see the difference by zooming in, by turning this on and off. If you are watching in full Azure AD, then you might be able to see the difference. It has made a slightest of difference. And let's change this layer blend mode to vivid light or the linear light so that we, we'll have more sharpening. And if you want, you can lower down its opacity. And you can see over here we have some problem on the lips. So let's fix it, create a new blank layer, and choose the clone stamp tool from here. And make sure the blend blending mode is normal and opacity, Let's make it 30 percent opacity. Oops. Okay. And now make sure some below layer is selected. And press Alt or Option to take dissemble from this area and start bending on this site. Assembled from the top lips, upper limb, and bend over here. So we need to assemble from many videos. Again, the perfect desert. And let me quickly do this. And over here you can see we have some problem over here. So let me fix that as well by pressing all to take the sample from this video and being slowly over here. And now you can see we have fixed overhead is going. So you can zoom in and zoom out to see. Maybe you need to work on. 8. Fixing Background in Lightroom Portrait Image Retouching Masterclass : And now you can see we have sync to all of our result over here as well in the Lightroom. So this was the before, and this is after we have done the editing. But now our over here, I realized that this part of the image is little darker and this one is lighter. So this one is not looking much better to me, so I'll try to fix it. So for that book was what we'll do. We'll come over here and select this adjustment brush, which is all over here. So you can have the x's to it by pressing K on your keyboard. And then you can paint anywhere. And that's going to create a mass for us. So we can paint anywhere and we can do some local adjustment or selective adjustment on that area. So we can adjust the exposure of that area so we can make it darker or lighter. So let me make it lighter little bit something like this. And lower down the saturation which is over here. So that it looks something similar to this one. And let's add the temperature, warm temperature, and let's add some tint of green. And let's open up the exposure a little bit and lower down the contrast. And open up the highlights. A little bit more, and open up the shadows. And it's lower down the saturation a little bit more. And let's add yellow or the vomer temperature. Let's try to add little bit more green. Ok, and now this one is looking much better. That may increase the exposure a little bit more. Something like this. So now we have got this kind of a result. We have fixed it and both of the side now looks much better. So if you want to see how it looks with and without it, you need to press this little button, which is over here. So this is a little switch. So if you press this, it is going to turn this off. And you press it. Once again, it is going to turn it on. So let's see the result with and without. So this is before and this is after, okay? And before and after. Okay? And I think now this one is looking much better, but it is also effecting little bit the, this area. Okay? So for that purpose, let me just remove this mask from that area. And for that purpose we need to select D. It is. So there is an option of it is select the, IT IS option from here. And you can paint over here. Oops. So we can remove it from the skin and we can even know along its flow. And over here, making changes, temperature, the relative Obama on we can invest it in as well. Something like this. And plus four on New and just went lush or new wind and wind on this site. And we can adjust you accordingly. We can vote with the temperature and the tint to match it with the background or the overall image. We can even both in the saturation at all. We have all bunch of options. So we can ingest any of them to get the result we want. And being on the arm. And if you want me going, it is, it comes out and bought it. We don't want that result. And once you're happy press Done. And we can induce this vignette. In fact, we can keep more we need from here. And this is our final lizard. So this was before and the after. We have done the portrait retouching. 9. Adding Light in Photoshop Pofessional Portrait Retouching : Welcome to this lecture. In this lecture, we are going to fix this Beck known as you can see in the previous lecture, we have tried to face this background, but still there is some problem. This color and this color does not match. So for that purpose, we are going to add a simple light over here so that it just gets mixed with the background. And so, and this is a very easy and fastest way to fix it. So we'll create a new blank layer by coming over here on this Layer icon. So we'll click on this page, lichen, and it's going to lead a new layer over here. And thereafter we will come over here. On the brush tool, will select the brush tool, or you can simply press the B on your keyboard to have the access to the brush tool. And thereafter we need to select these soft edge brush from the top. If you click over here on this little arrow and you can select the soft round brush and make sure the opacity is 100% and the flow is also 100%. And make sure this foreground color is white. So if it is not, as you can see in my case, so I need to press D on my keyboard to turn this into the default one. And thereafter I need to press X on my keyboard to flip these colors. So I will make this foreground color as the white. And thereafter, I'll come over here and increase the size of the brush using the right bracket. Or I can decrease the size by pressing the left bracket. So I'll make it something like this. And I will paint over here months as you can see, now this is not looking good, but don't worry, we are going to fix it. And to fix it will press Control D or Command D. And now we are going to have the x's to transform tool. So this is how we can transform any Lear. So if you press Control T or Command T, you will have the x's to transform option. And now I will press Shift and press Alt or Option, and click on one of the corner and drag it. So if I do this, it's going to scale it from the center. And if I simply press Shift, it is going to scale it from the corner. Okay? So I want it to scale from the center. So I'll press Alt or Option and Shift. And I will make it something like this. And I will drag it maybe over here and press Enter or this checkmark. And thereafter, I will come over here and change this layer blend mode to soft light. And you can see now we have added the deliberate light and we will expand it to the side as well. So we'll press Control D. Command D once again. Press control space and old. And with your mouse you can zoom out to see the top part of it and drag it, maybe something like this. And drag it a little bit on this site and press Enter. And now you can see this one is looking much better. This was before, and this is after we have added this light source on this summation. So this is fixed. So thank you so much. See you in the next lecture. In the next lecture, we are going to learn how to dose and bond the image in Photoshop. 10. Dodging & Burning in Photoshop Pofessional Portrait Retouching : Welcome to this lecture. In this lecture we are going to dose and bone this image and using the symbol goes adjustment in Photoshop. And however, if you have downloaded the Photoshop action, then you can use the Photoshop action as well to create these dose and Burn layers. So if you have downloaded the Photoshop action, my amazing photo, and then so Photoshop action, which comes free with this course, go ahead and download it and install it, and how to install it. You need to just first of all, go to the Windows and select the actions. So if you check this actions, somewhat this kind of obeys would open. And thereafter you need to come over here on this little menu options. And you need to click over here. And thereafter you need to select D Load Actions, auction, which is all here, Load Actions. And click on this and browse the ATN file, which is something like this amazing photo and answer, harsher than ADH. So you need to just click it and load it. And, and thereafter it would be loaded over here. And you will see all these bunch of options over here. So let me first show you how you can use this Photoshop action to create the dose and bone layer. So there is action which is called those and burn over here. So you just need to select this one. And thereafter you need to press this Play button. And once the play button is played, you will see this option. And it shows you that start painting with 10 percent opacity with white color on those and bone layers. Once done, press Play button again, okay? And then you need to press Stop. And once you are done, you can use this Photoshop actions. Again. I'll play this action again or you don't need to use it. So now you can see we have created three layers. So 14, the bond, 140 those, and this is the black and white layer. So how you can use it? Let me show you first select this black and white layer and you can adjust it setting from the properties. You will see properties maybe over here, but I am read them over here. This option, you might see it over here. Okay? So let me show you this way. And you can make this image a little darker to something like this so that you can properly see the lights and shadows. Some people have little problem seeing the highlights and the shadows. So using this black and white, you can easily see the shadows and highlights, all right? And you can make them a little bit darker, something like this, so that you can see where is the shadows and where is the highlight. And once you do this, you'll do adjustment. You need to select this Burn layer and come to the brush tool. Again, softest brush with 10 percent opacity. And to turn the opacity to 10 percent brands one on your keyboard. And if you press too on your keyboard is going to be 20 percent, 34, 34, 14, and up to nine, it's 90 percent. And if you wanted back to 100% breast GTL, okay, So I'll go for 10 percent opacity and flow to be 100% and make sure that this color is white. And as you can see, first of all, we are going to work on the bone image. So we'll, we'll zoom in a little bit and we will start painting wherever B, C, D, doc site, okay. Or the dark shadows. Okay. And you can keep on doing it. So I'm just going to be doing if you do it slowly, we're not so pay attention. Then you get the better doesn't mean again, go down the size of the brush to paint on these smaller areas. And once you are done. You can done all of those black and white and done all these. I can see the before and after. We again see this is before and this is often we have just done legals and similarly normally done on the black and white image and live indoors. And so incidentally those layer, and this time we win those on oil paint, on the highlights. Submit a bill, you see the lights, just paint all of that with make sure 10% opacity. And I'm sure you will haul you, include these layers at your own without difficult job action. So sum all. If you haven't downloaded it all, you don't want to use it. Showing you how you can use them as well. But before, let me finish with this mosaic and bullying. You can even paint on the main found out. All right, so you can see that result and turning it on and off. And the most useful part of using this curves adjustment to those and burn is that if you somehow, somehow commits domestic, so as you can see over here, it's too much and it's not looking good. So I need to just switch my back, switch my foreground color to the black, and to switch it back, I need to press X, and then I need to paint on that area. So what it is going to do, it is going to paint on this mosque with the black color. So going to hide that effect for me. So I don't need to use the eraser or something else to fix it. And now, only this can easily fix for me. And now you can see the difference. I still have some problems, so I'm going to paint a little bit more. Let's remove it from here. Okay? And you can see by turning it on before and after. And that is little problem on this side as well. So let me fix this as well. And thereafter, always, always low down its opacity. So for that purpose, select this folder and lower down its opacity to something like this, okay? So that we get the natural result and we doesn't get all those finer details. Okay? And you can see now this is before and after we have added more depth and interest in the image. So those and bone is very, very essential for the portrait. Macs do this, do apply the dose and burn techniques. And if you want to learn more about the dose and burn techniques, I have a separate course on dosing and burning techniques. It has covered all the possible dose and burn techniques of which professionals and muchos use for their illnesses. So if you want to learn more about those in Bern, go check out that course as well, which is called the dose and bone-mass to class. Go ahead and check that out. And now let me show you how you can create all of these options at your own. But before that, I need to press Play option on this Photoshop action. So if I press Play, you can see it basically deletes the black and white layer. Now you can see we no longer have that black and white layer. So if you don't want just done that black and white layer off and you are good to go. And now let me show you how you can create these dose and bone layers at your own without using the Photoshop action. So let me just turn this off. Select the background layer, come to the adjustment options, which is over here, and select the curves adjustment from here. And you will open, it is going to open this adjustment layer. And first of all, let me create. Those layer. So we need to click in the middle and drag it up. So it is going to add lots of light. So using this, we can use those, the MA, so we'll press SQL, select this layer mask over here, and press Control or Command I to invert it. And you can see it's not affecting anywhere unless I paint it with the white color. So if I paint with the brush tool and with the white color, it's going to make it lighter. So we are basically dosing with this layer. Okay, Let me undo it and rename this layer as the dose layer. So just double-click on this name and name it as those. And then once again, oops, come over here in the curves adjustment and click on this curves adjustment layer. And this time we are going to burn it. So we'll click in the middle and drag it inside to make it darker. So we're going to use it for burning. Okay? And then we'll press Control or Command I to invert the mask. And once again, we'll click on the name. We'll just double-click it and rename it as inborn. And thereafter we will come over here once again in the adjustment layers and select this black and white adjustment layer, which looks something like this, half black and white. So click on this and using this now, we can make it darker or lighter as per our own lacking so that we can clearly see the shadows and the highlights in the image. And thereafter, what you need to do, you need to select all these three layers by pressing Shift. So you can check this. So I click on any of the layer and press Shift and click on the last layer, and then press Control G or Command G to group them together and rename it as the and be on B, those or one, whatever you want. And this layer has all of our layers. And once we are done, we can just turn this off. So this is how we can do the those in Bern though we have already done it. And thereafter we need to select all the layers and press Control E or Command E to merge them together. So now we have got the citizens. So this is our final result. You can see right now.
