1. 1. Intro: hi guys. Weapon to this course. In this course, you learn how to animate in for a shop. You will learn how to set up the video timeline, including many tips and tricks. You also learn how to use tools and for shop to your advantage. We will go to various examples falling, which you'll get a deeper understanding off animating in for show by the end of this course , Also show you how to use a free extension in for a shop, which will make your workflow much faster. And I'm also including a bonus lecture in this course by which you learn how to download and install that extension on your PC. But that said, I'll see in the next picture. 2. 2. Requirements+ Class Project: So in order to complete this course, she relayed a graphic tablet. And anyways, you know, photo shop CCU prefer, And if you don't have put a shop, you can go into about section off my class and click on this link to get free trial here. And if you want the extension, you can click on this link and you can download it from here. And if you have any difficulties installing this extension, you can refer to this link here Now. First, I want you to watch the course to the end and then for the class project I want you to anywhere, anything that comes in your mind. It could be an animal. It could be a smartphone or anything and share it here so that the other students can see them. I've also included the project file. Tear off the example I've shown in the course. I hope this hopes and I'll see you in the next picture. 3. 3. Let's Animate: So we all in for the show right now and let's make a new canvas. No, before we start now, before we start, I just want to show you these handy and very useful short cuts, which will make it easier for you to animate in for the show. If you press on your keyboard, you can rotate the whole canvas. Now this in particular will help you in drawing some of those tough lines. You might have difficulties in drawing at a certain angle. So to reset the view, you can click here to reset you and memories that that Ken was. Now the next one is you can use baseball to move your canvas around. If you didn't already know this, it's very useful. So now let's start animating and for the show not to enemy in for a show. You have to have a timeline so we can get that by going onto window. And if you drove down, here is the timeline. You can click it and this will appear. So click on Create leader timeline and you can see here we have ah, first layer, which is off five seconds. This is our Baghdad learned by the way. No, Before we start, you can see the frame rates off the timeline. It's 29.9 sound frames per second for now, but you can change that by going onto these three parallel lines here and said, Timeline frame rate. You can choose whatever friend you want to work on. You can choose 18. You can choose 50 but in my case, I'm going to pick 12 frame rates for second. Now, if you see here on the bottom, you can use this lighter with Low Mountain. I can't to zoom in and out on your layer. Now, If you want to add a new frame, you have to go to the bottom of the layers panel where you can see this little plus I can to get a new layer. Begin. Shrink is all the way down to one frame, and if you zoom in, you can see it's only one land frame here. And if you draw something here, let's draw the number one and get this marker to here. And if you play this, it only place this one frame, that's what, Adam your frame again. You get either click on the plus I can again. Oh, you can also press control shift and on your keyboard and you can get a new there. But now you can see this. Mueller, just sit on top of the previous one. You can do this if you want. You can make as many layers like this one and work on this if it suits you. But it was really still down your workflow. So I recommend doing is after making a new layer, you can split it by clicking clicking on this little Caesar. This little sees I can't and it's bit this layer to how many frames you won't and you can delete the rest. You can see it's still making these pyramid off leers here so you can solve this. But but looking on this frame and breath shit and click on this frame by violent pressing shift, and it will make even select these four layers here, and then you can dragon drop it along the first train. And now, if you make a new layer for a shop, will recognize your workflow and it will keep in keep keep it in this part. Let's see now it will no longer make those layer permits, and it will make this very a group. Now, on the first frame, we have this number one here and now will draw the arrest in the next layer. And no, if you play this back, you can see it's very fast. But you can see it's just the basics. I'm showing you here. Now let's see something else. Now. We'll get deeper into the tools and everything else. You know, Let's close this. Open a new canvas and we'll do the same thing. You. If you see I've made five frames here, let's zoom out. And by the way, if you drag this market to the end of your frames, the for show will only played that portion off your clip. Now, in this example, we're going to do a scribble effect. I'm sure you've probably seen them on INSTAGRAM or YouTube videos. By the way, you can drag and extend these frames if you want. Right now they're one frame each. You can drag the frame from the corner. I'm going to do this foot each frame. This is called animating in twos, and if you drawn a single frames that school once for this one of the animating own twos? No, I'll pick a color here and I have the first frame selected here. You can total through friends by using right and left arrow keys on your keyboard. And if that doesn't work on your PC, for some reason, you can go to the parallel lines again and enable the timeline Joker kids, this will enable all the people choke it. No, without wasting any time. That's good into it. Alright, sculpture here. Now, for this effect, you need to trace this every single friend. You don't need to read that exact. I'll show you know, but But if you moved to this next rain, you can't really see the previous one to trace on. No, to solve this, we use something going onion skins, and you can enable it from here. Now we can see this like a lower version off the previous frame so we can easily draw it. If you want to change the settings, you can go to the onion skin settings, and you can set how many frames before and after you want to say in the onion skins. You can also change the blend mode, multiply it is okay for them for most of the times. But you can also select between these depending on your project. Now, now, I will draw all these frames Now. Now, if you can see here, even after drawing two frames, you can see this scribble effect. Now draw the rest of the frames. I've drawn all the frames now, and if we scrub back and turn off the onion skin and here you can see this globally effect wobbly scribble effect. Now you can also cope Isam frames. If you want to extend the animation by pressing Ault and dragging the frame, let's do it this for now and here. This here's the scribble effect Very easy and very basic simple animation in for a show. Now you can also extend the frames if you want. You can extremely the trees or force or whatever you like. You can also change the position of these frames. I think you get the idea. No, by the way, you can also use the textile. To achieve this effect, you can write any text and changes, position every word in every friend, and it will do the job. No, we'll move onto the next example. Now, in this one, we're going to create a bouncing boat by using the tools in for a show. Well, said the timeline family to tell here and do the same thing again. By the way, I forgot to mention before that when you drag all the frames on one sport, it creates a video group. As you can see in your layer panel, you can control every layer under the video group. You can also create several video groups if you like. But for now, we'll stick with this one. Now, first on the background. Let me draw a line here on the background layer. Now we'll draw something like a bull with a face. Now say, if you want to enlarge the circle or make some changes, you don't have to do it again. If you only have this circle drawn in this there, you can press control tree. You can press control T to bring up the transformation to you can change this size, and if you press shift while holding, you can change injured aspect ratio to, and if you right click on it, you can rotate it. You can distort it. You can hope it. You can flip it horizontally and vertically. Basically, you can do anything with this tool to give the upset your desire chip. And now we want to show this ball bouncing in its place so I can either do it by traditional method by drawing each frame and spending my time. Or instead, I can simply copy the first frame and use the transformation. Tool it. Let's turn on onion skin first and using control T. I can simply squash it a little. I can simply squash it a little here. And by the way, if you want to learn the principles off animation like Score Shin Stretch walk cycles acceptable, I highly recommend you to read this book called The Animators Survival Kit by Richard Williams. It's a great book, and it covers all the fundamentals and principles off animation. You can see all the things you need here, the book cycles and everything. You can either buy this book from the Amazon, or you can find the PdF off this book for free on the Internet. Either way, leg it down in the about section off my class. So do take it out now as you can see the bouncing ball be made. Using the transform to is looking good for now. Now I want to show you another important too. Say, if we have some other object in the same layer and you want to transform it or you gotta do is select the less 02 and select the object and press control T. Now you can move the selected object within the layer without affecting anything else. So now let's move on to the next example. I'll make a new cameras here. Let me set the resolution real quick. Now, in this one, I will use an extension called anim, destined to I'll write it here and then destine to and I have included a link in the about section where you can see how to install this extension to get the extension here to get the extension here on the timeline. The mirror is this. First you have to go on here to the window, drop down to the extension and click on an M. Doesn't too. You can easily change this pollution to whatever you like. I like to work with this when it's on top of my timeline, so I'll do that here. Now. What this does is you can see all these different icons here altered the timeline friendly first. Now you don't have to do that long. Process off creating a frame every time you can just click on here on one if you're animating anyone's, but you still have to do this. If you want to create a video, then you can get as many frames as you want, but only a single click. You can also create two friends by clicking on the two Aiken. As you can see here, you can also do the framed by clicking on this garbage I can. You can extend their framed by clicking on this place Aiken, and you can add as many frames as you want. You can also some threat, and by taking on this folder I can. You can make an entirely new video group, which I was talking about earlier. So now let's do something here. I will work on these two friends first, and I'll draw to keep poses. I really create some sort of blinking I I want to make it slightly unique, so I am drawing it as some sort of Ah, reptilian I now on to the next frame and to turn on the onion skin. It's very simple. You just have to click on this. I can hear you can turn it on and off easily, which saves so much time. And you can open up the onion skin settings from here and from these two icons here, you can change the position off the market easily so you don't have to go all the way back here. I actually want to extend both these frames. Also keep in mind these are only the key poses I'm drawing here. We can do the in betweens later. Now I will draw the clothes I hear I'll have to rotate this so I so I can draw easily. So now let's reset the view. Let's turn the onion skin off. And now, if you see this, these are my mean to keep poses. Now we have two atom in betweens to make the animation looks smoother. That's at a new frame here and turn on the onion skin again, and we'll have to change the settings, though Now we have to draw something in between this. These true friends, something like this. - Let's played now as you can see it slightly easier the animation. But you still have to draw some more friends to get a smoother animation here. I'm not going to draw more frames for now. Now back to the extension. I wanted to show you what these color squares do. These are very useful. And by the way, these are the things I personally use in my work flows that I'm showing you hear what these colored squares do is that if you select a layer and click on these, it will add a color overlay to your drawings and the layers, which is very useful when creating big projects. I personally used them in every project and if you click on this half gross square ever removed the color overlay, it will remove the color overlay. So now, to render all this, you can either do it from here Timeline panel to rent a video. So select the folder here, huh? And click on render. And if you want to make it a gift, you have to go into the file export safe for Web, then sumo Tina. Now you can see all these options here. Give J pack bien GHB and 24 WB empty will select the GIF option you and you just have to set the looping options to forever. And if you want to preview this, you can click on this play. I can hear this little play I can hear and you can preview your animation. And also one thing I forgot to tell you the if you want to apply an effect which lies toe these layers under the 1,000,000,000 group, you can select the video group and press control T to Reese ice giving your desired look. You can also copy the video groups like so by pressing control J. You can see here we have two video groups. We just Koppett our previous animation. You can make as many of these as you want, so that's about it. For this course, I really hope you enjoy this and you learn something new from this course. Make sure to leave a review and make sure to read this book here. If you want to get into the animation, it will help you so much. Make sure to follow me on sculpture and I'll see you in the next course
