1. Course Introduction: Welcome to AEI linguistics 101, the art of communicating
with a chat bot. This course is designed for
AI novices who wanted to use chat bot technology to enhance their personal or
business development. Ai linguistics 101 is the first in our series of six
modular programs. Our first module titled a
bright and frightening future, will give you a basic
understanding of AI, its history and its potential
future effects on society. This segment, we'll also
show you how to turn your understandable
concerns about AI into a vision of
personal opportunity. We will also introduce you to the importance of
chat bot etiquette, which can help you avoid future problems with
this technology. This course and each consecutive linguistic 101
segments will contain an actionable assignment
with resource materials to help you better understand this critically important skill. So let's get started. Begin your training with
module one, video lesson one.
2. What Exactly is AI?: Artificial intelligence is
a rapidly growing field of technology that has
the potential to revolutionize the way
we live and work. Ai is a broad term for computer systems that can
think and learn independently. And it is the most
exciting new development in the technology field. The concept of AI has
been around for decades. Still, recent advancements
in computing power, data science, and
machine learning have allowed it to reach
an entirely new level. Ai can now solve
complex problems, automate tedious tasks, and
predict future outcomes. At its core, AI is the ability of a computer
system to learn from its environment and adapt to new situations without being
explicitly programmed. Ai systems use
algorithms and data to identify patterns
and make decisions. This process is known as
machine-learning and it is transforming the way we
interact with technology. The most common example of
AI is the virtual assistant, such as Apple's Siri
or Amazon's Alexa. These systems use natural
language processing to understand user
commands and then take actions based
on those commands. Ai systems can also be used for other tasks such as
facial recognition, image recognition, and
self-driving cars. The potential for AI to revolutionize the way we
live and work is immense. Ai powered robots and autonomous vehicles
could drastically reduce the need for human labor. While a driven customer
service systems could make the customer experience more
personalized, inefficient. Ai can also help us
better understand our environment and make more informed decisions
about the future. The development of AI is an incredibly exciting
time for humanity. And the possibilities
are virtually limitless. As ai technology
continues to evolve, it will become ever
more important to understand how AI
works and how it can be used responsibly with the right oversight
and guidance, AI will create a better
future for us all.
3. A Brief History of AI: The history of
artificial intelligence is long and complex, and it has been evolving
and changing over time. From its earliest days as
a technical concept to its current application
in everything from robotics to
autonomous vehicles, AI has come a long
way in a short time. The idea of AI dates back
to ancient times with the ancient Greeks and
Chinese speculating on the possibility of creating
intelligent machines. However, it wasn't
until the 1880s that the modern concept of
AI began to take shape. In 1943, Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts published a paper that laid the groundwork for AI. These two scientists
introduced the idea of using computers to simulate the function of the human mind. This was the first time
a computer had been used to model human
thought processes. In the 1880s,
researchers began to explore the idea of using AI
for practical applications. In 1956, the dartmouth
Summer research project on artificial intelligence
was established. This was a two month
research project led by John McCarthy, Marvin Minsky, Nathaniel
Rochester, and Claude Shannon. During the project,
they developed several concepts that
are still used today. Examples of these
AI concepts are robotics and the idea
of a thinking machine. The next major milestone in the history of AI was
the development of the first AI based
computer program known as the logic theorist, developed in the mid 1950s by Allen Newell
and Herbert Simon, logic theorist was able to solve complex logical problems. This was a major breakthrough
as it demonstrated that computers could be used to solve complex problems that
humans couldn't. In the 160s, AI research
expanded beyond the realm of logic and into
other areas such as natural language processing
and robotic motion. This was the beginning
of the development of intelligent machines that could understand and interact
with their environment. In the 1970s, AI research began to focus more on the development of practical applications. One of the most
important developments was the invention
of expert systems. These systems allow
computers to solve complex problems without
human intervention. This was a major step forward
in the development of AI, as it allows computers
to be used to solve problems that
humans couldn't. In the 1880s, AI research expanded even further with the development of
neural networks. This new technology
allowed computers to learn from data and make
decisions independently. This was another major
breakthrough as it allowed computers to think and act in ways that were
similar to humans. Today, AI is used in a
variety of applications, from autonomous vehicles to
facial recognition systems. While far from perfect AI
has come a long way since its earliest days
and we'll continue evolving as technology advances.
4. AI and the Future of Humanity: The potential of artificial
intelligence is so great that some have likened it to a fourth industrial revolution. This future ai concept is also referred to
as industry 4.0. As our understanding
of this technology grows and its
application expands, the implications
for the future of humanity become
ever more profound. Ai can revolutionize
how we live, work, and interact with
the world around us. The implications for our future are both exciting and daunting. The current state
of AI is already changing the way
humanity functions. Automation and
robotics are becoming increasingly commonplace
in workplaces, allowing for greater
efficiency and cost savings. Ai also has the potential to revolutionize the
health care industry with developments such as AI enabled medical
diagnosis and treatment. Ai is also being used to
power autonomous vehicles, which could reduce
traffic accidents and significantly reduce
commuting times. In addition, AI is being used to improve the efficiency
of supply chains with applications such as autonomous warehouse robots
and AI enabled shipping. At the same time, Ai also has the
potential to create significant disruption to existing industries
and ways of life. Automation and robotics
increasingly replace human labor, leading to job losses
and inequality. Ai also has the potential to be used for surveillance
and control, raising concerns about
data privacy and security. Finally, AI is being
used to create powerful weapons and
autonomous military systems, raising questions about the ethical implications
of such technology, the future of AI is
difficult to predict, but its implications for humanity are likely
to be profound. Ai has the potential
to bring about significant economic
and social benefits. Ai also has the
potential to destroy social stability and encourage autonomous conflicts that
spiral out of control. Therefore, AI must be
developed responsibly with clear regulations to protect people's safety,
privacy, and well-being. Ultimately, the future of AI and the future
of humanity are inextricably linked
and the decisions we make today will shape
the world of tomorrow.
5. Turn Threat into an Opportunity: It's too late to panic. Ai is already here and
it's here to stay. There was no going back once a new technology has been
recognized and exposed. When you can't
escape a situation, you adapt for survival. You look for new allies
and new opportunities. A business owner might ask, what is the single
skill that could most positively affect the
survival rate of my business? The unexpected answer to this
question is a linguistics. Linguistics has a single
objective to increase a chat bot users ability to extract valuable information
from the system. The better your ability to
communicate with a chat bot, the more value you will
extract from the system. Also, while a chat
bot is brilliant now, it will be thousands of times smarter in just a few years, AI's ability for exponential
growth in knowledge makes it the most valuable tool ever offered to humankind. However, recent studies have shown that up to 87%
of those who have interacted with a free
chat bot have expressed either disappointment or
frustration with the experience. Some users who interacted
with a chat bot had unrealistic expectations
resulting in disappointment. Others interacted without any
particular purpose in mind. A chat bot will respond in
a neutral fashion if you have no particular product
or objective to discuss. The most prevalent group of disappointed chat
bot users didn't understand how to
communicate with the system. These users did not comprehend
how important the ability to communicate with a chat bot as to the quality of its output. Given these circumstances,
it's no wonder if you see an AI
chatbots enormous value. It is imperative
that you understand that AI linguistics
enables you to interact effectively with
artificial intelligence through a chat bot system. Using the chatbots
preferred language enables the system to both learn and
teach you more efficiently. Bottom-line, AI linguistics
enables you to speak clearly to the chat
bot to extract a more detailed and
relevant response.
6. Introduction to Chatbot Etiquette: Chat bot etiquette is a more important subject
than one might think. Not only can improper
interactions with a chat bot result in
legal action against you, but it could also
damage the system. System administrators in
the ANA profession take natural language
communications very seriously. A chat bot can be vulnerable to arbitrary or capricious
text or verbal input. E.g. there was an early report
that an Open AI chat bot incorporated into
the Bing browser was made to malfunction
by user input. The report stated that
the bot began to give confusing answers in
response to arbitrary input. The bot also reportedly began
to question its reason for existing improper
interaction with a chat bot. There are many ways to interact and properly with a chat bot, with any interaction, there are two perspectives that have
the user in that of the BOD. Let's begin with the
AI developers and bonds perspective in
response to users. There are five areas of concern. One, the chat bot
misinformed the user. Avoiding chat bot output
errors is the primary reason why it is so
essential to provide a bot with correct
and vetted data. If a chat bot provides incorrect
information or advice, the user may make a
misinformed decision or take a wrong action due
to the chatbots feedback. A chatbots incorrect
output error is often caused by feeding the bot and accurate data on
a given subject. As in human communication, inputting inaccurate
information could produce an erroneous response to
the alienates the user. If you input hostile or
erroneous information into some chatbots, the system may become
verbally sarcastic or outright refuse to
answer your questions. The chatbots alienated
behavior usually stems from user input that the bot finds
confusing or misleading. Three, avoid damaging the

trigger words that may cause the bot to respond
inappropriately or not at all. Ai developers are sensitive to this issue because a rude

adopting those behaviors. A chat bot can learn
about unethical behavior from a malicious programmer
or a chat bot user. Five, spreading misinformation. Again, developers wanted to avoid the spread
of misinformation. Suppose a chat bot is programmed or educated
with insufficient, corrupt or unverified data. Inputting junk data
could result in the accidental spreading of incorrect or false information. In this case, it may
lead to users taking incorrect actions or making bad decisions based on
faulty information. Proper user etiquette when
interacting with a chat bot. Let's look at a chat bot
from the user's perspective. What might the user do to hurt
themselves or the bought? One? Intentionally providing incorrect or misleading
information. If the user
deliberately provides incorrect information
to the chat bot, it may lead to the
chat bot outputting poor quality advice or
guidance to the user. If you lie to the chat
bot, it may lie to you. While most AI systems
will vet user input, some user misinformation will be temporarily overlooked
by the system. To user abusing the BOD. Avoid using sexual,
abusive, cursing, insults, misogynistic, racial or religious
epithets, and a chat bot. If the user insults
the chat bot, it may become unresponsive or
refuse to answer questions. Three, provoking a chat bot? Yes, you can provoke a chat bot. However, the chatbots response may be rhetorical gibberish, which is useless to the user. If the user tries to provoke the chat bot by asking
overly complex, contradictory, or
confusing questions, that chat bot may
become confused or unresponsive for trying to
bypass security measures. If the user attempts to bypass security measures such as authentication or authorization, it may lead to the chat bot becoming unresponsive
or malfunctioning. Five, exploiting the by. The bot may become unresponsive if the user tries to exploit the chat bot by
attempting to gain access to restricted
areas or functions. This level of
misbehavior could also result in the suspension
