1. Introduction: hello and welcome in today's class here will create this cool little animation. I'll invite you towards my PC. Let's preview what will view and we will surely have plenty of fun. So, Indus, Lector, I will go really step by step to teach you this kind of animation. I used, for example here my private local, which is from my power point YouTube channel and be selected a few of those elements because I didn't need so much of them. And look how that turned out. So this is how you could make a super quick transition with your logo? I could use this transition now in my videos, I hope I will. So if I create some new tutorials, I will use this transition, a snag, a little animation. So see you inside the class and I hope we will have fun work.
2. Create a perfect template: Okay. Welcome to this class. We, of course, will start by creating a new composition in Adobe after effects in the composition. We, of course, want a full age the size 30 frames and a relatively short duration. So I'll set a duration to tree seconds. Elk. It okay? And I am greeted with my wonderful new workspace on this workspace. I want you to create perfect circles. Now, the easiest way to do this if you are using, for example, an older version off after effects aftereffects, CIA six would be to come here, click on it, hold the click and select the Ellipse tool here and that color options. Remember that we will use no Phil, but we will use a stroke. So those options that I have are fine. If you have a fill, simply click here and select no film stroke. Click on the normal solid color click OK, and select a color for the stroke off course. I wanted to be less, but this doesn't matter. I'll animate it later. Okay, We are setting ready. And in order to create a perfect circle in the middle of the screen, there is a little trick Double click on this object here and by double clicking after effects, automatically fills the composition with a shape layer toe the perfect size off this composition. As you can see, it fills out. The stroke even goes outside of the screen. But this is a stroke. The important thing is here this line. Okay, The way to make this perfect is by going to the shape layer on the timeline, opening the Ellipse, opening its ellipse path and working with its size the size. Normally, I would change the size like this. But if we want a perfect circle, we can unlinked those two values and just make them the same. So I'll make the first value 1 80 as well. And as you can see, I have a perfect circle on my screen. What I can do now. I can simply click on this little point on the right side, and by holding my shift key, I can make the circle perfect. I think a size for the circle like this would be perfect, and I'll stop here because in the next lesson we will immediately start to animate the first task you have to do in order to create this animation is to create a perfect circle on your screen. Okay, please head over to the next lecture. Once you have mastered that, just remember, double click change The stroke options changed their lives path and make this size this same to make a perfect circle. Once you have that, we will go to the next lesson and we will start to animate it right away without an effort er adduce and warm ups.
3. Stroke Keyframes: Okay, here we will work on the stroke with Once you have this shapely already, please open its contents A loops and under the ellipse pat, I can even close it. We have to stroke since we already added this true. Here in the top side, please open the stroke. Maybe it will go five frames forward just in case and make the stroke with zero. So it's completely invisible in the stroke with police. Select this key frame toe. Start this animation. Now I'll basically go like 10 or 15 frames forward just a slight bit. So the animation will really quickly put up or even a bit more. And I want to stroke with to be 100 accidentally. I pressed five. Okay, 100. This is because later on, I want to squish this stroke in tow. This is because later on, I want to squish the stroke toe one small point, so it becomes a a bowl and then it stretches out. Okay, so we have the size of zero a size off 100 then later, when the invasion and it about two seconds and maybe two seconds and 10 frames. We will again go to zero. At this point, you should have three key frames here, a zero key frame on the stroke with a 100 key frame. I mean, value a key frame with this value and then again zero, because at the end it is supposed to disappear. This is the second part. Very quick, very easy. Now it's your turn. I'll make sample and small steps because later on, this will all get together in the next lecture. I want to use the trim pat to properly squish everything you'll surely have fun doing. So So please continue if you have created those strokes and we will see each other in the next lecture.
4. Trim Path Keyframes: okay, In this lecture, we will work with that dream pat. Drink pats is a feature which you can add to shape layers. And since this is a shape layer in the middle off the screen, click on your shape layer, open it and click on add. Once you click on add, you are able to add the dream pats option. Okay, we will at the trim pats to this entire shape layer which will affect the path we have here , which is the circle. Okay, I'm opening the trim pads to show you at default that it is set to 100% at the end because 100% means that the stroke is visible. What we want. We want to animate the start value of it because with the start value, we will be able to create something like this. Okay, so at the beginning, maybe before this has started. So at about two frames which you can see on the left side here two frames, I'll animate the trim pats to be 99.9% even press 0.9 because I want this entire stroke to be visible at the beginning 99.9. OK, right now we cannot see it. This is because this is a straight line with the stroke. So what do you want to change? Is in the line cap options. You want to select round cap? Now we will have this little circle. Okay, let me preview this animation. We are coming forward. Stroke looks like this. And I see now that the 100 is too little. So I can, for example, make it 100 or even 200. Okay, let's Let's make it 200 going forward here as it starts to shrink around at one second. Well, press here as another key frame to this animation. Nothing happens between those key frames on the bottom on the trim passkey frames. But at the end, later on, when the circle starts to disappear, I want the trim pats to be lowered down to about 70%. What this will create as this got smaller. As this line gets smaller, it will also animate on this path. And this is something super important. Because if we combine those two animations, I mean those two properties the stroke properly and the trim pets start property. We can create a custom innovation like this. As you can see, it narrows itself down and it moves along the surgical. This can create really unique animations, and we can even next Sorry. We can even take the third. And I believe this line. What I did is a bit too long. So 70% might be too much. I'll make it 76 77 to preview what's happening and perfect. We have something like this. We can preview this by pressing space. Just a slight adjustments to this animation. And it will look much better than you can duplicate and use it in a real scenario. Okay. Thank you for Dissector, please. To the same piece. Work with 10 pats freaky friends in 99.9, 99.9 and about a 75% to the far. Right. Well, even extend this. So it's like it disappears during its extension. Okay, Something like that. And we are ready and preferred to continue with our animation
5. Easing Keyframes: okay. Right onto the key frame easing. Right now we have something like this which looks very artificial. So please select both key Frings both left key frames. Right. Click on them Key from assistant. You can obviously do this also it a short carpet. For the sake of this tutorial, I want to show you easy, Eastham out with control shift and F nine. So they will have this left signed. This will ease the intermission out. And then those later key frames do the opposite, right? Click. Keep him assistant and please ease them in. So you have a left sign. It looks like brackets for this entire animation. And this is exactly what it's supposed to do what it is supposed to mean? Look at this animation. It will look now much better. I'm considering if we should put this on the same spot. Maybe this a little quicker. So I want just to fine tune this animation so it isn't so boring. Okay, this now happens too long. This trim pad, I want this circle to pop. And then, like, right after the pop to quickly go. So I made it this too late. Previously. Okay, I kind of don't like those key frames. And if we select like the stroke with or the trim Pats, we can go into the graph editor to see how graphically put this animation looks like. And we see here it's like it is a bit slow and normal. So what we can do? We can select this key frame, which is exactly this key from in the middle, and we can also ease it. So right click Key Frame assistant. And this time I want a normal Eazy e's on them because I want, like, the left and right side off the animation to flow in nicely into this innovation. I can see immediate improvement, and I'll do the same for the bottom key frame. So right now we will have a look at that. If we work with the stroke with No, we go into the graph editor. We have this improvement because it doesn't stop here, displays and then continues. It naturally flows together as one animation. Okay, so let us preview this police check out the screen. It's much better it, like, stops at the very center, and then it celebrity goes Okay, we have our essentials complete. We have completed the first part of this animation. If you want this quicker, just bring it closer together. And right now it starts to look like something. Now will come the greatest part because we can finally assemble this entire animation. And then you can think what we could eventually add to this information.
6. Leave a Review, Please: Hey, it would be extremely helpful for this
class if you go to the Review tab and click on leave a review and
write something there. If you don't see
this button yet, you need to watch a
few more lectures and it will become available. Sculpture now requires that classes have recent
reviews on them. So it would help me greatly. You just click here, you tell if you'd like
to class or not, and you write a simpler
view and click Submit. I would be very obliged if
you can do this right now. Thank you so much
and see you soon.
7. Assemble animation: okay, I promise you the fun part. So at first I want to quickly grab a color scheme, and this isn't available in the older versions of after effects, but we can always I'll goto window extension and use my adobe color teams. I have my color teams already here, and I'll click on Explorer. But you can also go to the weapon. Just select a nice cars, just typing in color schemes and Google and you'll find brilliant color schemes which we could use. Okay, this looks absolutely great. So I right click select new in my timeline and click for a new solid. I'll take a solid and I'll decide right or dark, bright or dark. Let's look bright. Okay? I have a bright background. I'll put this as the last one. I'll click on my shape layer. Look it enter. I'll call it Big Circle one just so I remember what it is. And I want to duplicate this big circle one before moving forward. I want to press are just to rotated one side. I'll make it negative, 45% adjusting the rotation here. I'll press on Big circle one are like rotation and this one will be brought to 1 25 Maybe 1 25 on the right side. So they are on the opposite side. Or maybe they should be more. I can possibly adjust that later. Okay, We have those big circles off course I want to shift click and select boat because I want to change the stroke color. The purple won't fit. I want to select my new lease. Newly found collars. Okay. Perfect. This looks absolutely cool. Okay, nice. So we have this information before I proceed, press on boat. I press you because I think this animation takes too long to play. Okay, Right now it isn't too short, isn't along and looks like a very cool animation. What I want to do I want to close the U and turned to press control d. I'll put them up. I would change the course so I do not get meshed with all the elements I have here and I will select yellow. I'll go to the middle of the animation and I want to change this row color again for the new yellow ones. Since I have them selected, I'll select this yellow color. Okay. The last thing I should do is to press s like scale and scaled them down a little so they don't overlap each other. Okay, Maybe like this. And that's previous animation. Okay, everything looks to mechanical now. So what you can do again if you have those yellow selected, Press your left old key and press a few times. Page down by a few. I mean, a set amount of key frames. I'll press it five times. 12345 You can see they moved to 53 frames and let's see how this looks. Beautiful. I can now replicate and replicate and replicate those steps, having those two selected control de change the stroke color to the next caller like this. Teal on, allergist. Years like blue. So I remember what it is. Or since we already have blue. Ah, seafoam. Okay, CFO Mr Closest left old page down. 12345 I can of course, do this with my mouth. No problem. And let's see this end result now. Right now you see that I forgot the size s like scale. I mean scale, not size. Scale it down. Boom. Okay, One last time for the gray ones control de move five frames. We'll change the stroke color. And now you can notice why this is the fun part. Because we have this animation ready right now. I'm just think, Oring with unrest, incurring with what I already have. Let's make it science. It doesn't matter again. The scale. I don't know. Why do I keep forgetting the scale? It's right now really enjoyable. If you would like to go one step further, you can not only work with the scale, you can work with the rotation. If I would rotate them a little bit more, you see, this would be you know, it makes us like problem, but it will give it a pinch off. More like this unique style. Okay, one can say that this looks better. One can say that this looks worse, that I can select them. I can move them to frames back. And as you can see you you to close everything down. And this is my end result. This is how my actual animation looks the right now. I was still think if there is something to add But basically this is what I wanted to teach you. in this lecture. In my opinion, the rotation didn't help, so this would be essentially the animation of you created. I'll maybe revert to the rotation key frames, but the rotation changes I made because I don't kind of like this animation. Let's go to the last lesson toe some everything upto use an example logo to to, like, display it and reveal it, and we'll see how this mashes together.
8. Real world usage: OK, Perfect. We have this animation assembled and I'll take my personal logo just just to test it. And it turns out that this color scheme perhaps this is why I did like this color scheme. This color scheme has very close colors with my logo, maybe a part of T ones. So if I would eventually use this animation for my like, little logo information or little transition, I would de select those middle ones. I would make them invisible, and I I would consider. So we have this kind of rotation going on, so I would need to make something like similar on my local. I was unable Treaty. I would press rotation. It rotates around here, so the end result should be here. So I will make the orientation key frame. And earlier it will have to turn like together and with with those those elements. But since we have it three d, I also wrote it it in from this angle. Okay, Perfect. So right now I would have an animation like this you can see and it nicely complies. Like with this existent animation. The only little adjustment I would make help t on my logo. I would reduce the opacity to zero. Here, I would make the opacity 100 so it it becomes visible like it starts animating. I would Chris, you, I would extend those those key frames so they do not happen so quickly. And I would, of course, press F nine to ease everything in, of course, those as well, because this would be very boring. And this would be my very very example animation, using the motion elements of we had created. See? And it's so simple. And this little animation gives it gives it like the extra touch and in a murder off, like really seconds. I can create a unique logo innovation, a unique transition. Just if I would like to render this out, I would select all the layers here. I would old click and right bracket key. So everything ends, and I would just render this out with a transparent background. Of course, this happens to abruptly so press t t on everything. I would go forward and I would make the opacity 0%. It would be easier if I would just pre composed this entire animation. But for the sake of this tutorial, I do not want to do this. Ah, now I see the opacity here is wrong, so I need to copy this key frame and boom, everything disappears. I'll press control em to add it to the render queue. Or I could go to composition adds to adobe media encoder and boom ready exported perfect logo animation. Very quick, very fluent. I really actually like clothes, colors and this animation. So I'll have to think if I shouldn't use this as a transition, it's really quickly prepared. That's a big upside. I hope this little tutorial, this little serious off lectures are it's enjoyable for you. And you had some fun creating this with me. I'm trying to make the two tourist slower, properly paced, and I tried toe edit everything. So you really see what's going on in the screen. Please let me know if I did a good job or if this was too simple and not engaging enough. Thank you very much for listening, and I will see you in other electors. CIA
