can do with Adobe Express. There are some
examples of what you can create with Adobe Express. And there's the joint, the free Beta button. You want to click there. You're going to be met
with this sign-in screen. So if you've never used any

3. Exploring Adobe Express Interface: So when you first start
out and Adobe Express, you're met with this dashboard. Here you can see
different sections. Let's start with the one on top. On the very left, you can
see a button that will always take you to the
starting point, this homepage. Next to it, there's a search bar where you can search
everything from inspiration to examples of Design Step bit to
your specific needs. For example, let's type in
tennis and see what pops up. As you can see, there are
bunch of different options and bunch of different things
that we can choose from. There are some templates,
photos, videos, backgrounds, and Design acids, all related to tennis. On the left, you can
specify exactly what you're looking for. Files. This option searches through your files that you've
created an Adobe Express. Because we don't have
any files named tennis, nothing would actually
pop up right now, templates, this can be your starting point
when creating a design. Starting with a blank
canvas is always scary. So it's nice to have a template
to help you out photos. This option, you
can look through stock photos that you're
free to use in Your Designs. Libraries where you can create
your own collections of acids are colors that you can
reuse across your design. Because we don't have a
library named tennis. Nothing would actually
pop up brands. You can create brand kits
specific to your brand. You can add a custom logo, color palette, or Design acids, videos where you can
choose stock Videos, backgrounds after you variety of images that you can choose
from for your designs. Indesign acids,
individual pieces that will make up your
own unique design. As at the time
they're coordinating, this version of Adobe
Express is in beta. There's a give feedback
on Discord button. Next we have a
helper button that contains a link to
Adobe XD discord. A place where you
can report a bug and give feedback on the
translation of the pages. Next, we have our
notification center and a collection of all the
Adobe web apps and services. There's also a
help center button for what's new and support. Finally, we have a button that takes you to the
Adobe Cloud Center and your Account
button where you can go to your
settings or logout. Let's now go back
to the dashboard by using the top-left button. On the vertical bar on the left, there are few more
things that we can do. The very top one takes
you to the creation of your canvas a little lower. There's again a home button that we're already familiar with. Your stuff button contains all of your files
that you've created. An Adobe Express explore
button that takes you to many different designs
that others have creative for inspiration
and use as a template. This schedule button
where you can schedule your social media post
directly from Adobe Express. We will go into detail of each menu as the
course progresses. At the center, you
can see all of the options of what we can
create with Adobe Express. There's a personalized
for you tap that analyzes your likes and goals from what you
search and create. Social media, video, photo, document, marketing,
and generative AI. A little lower, you
can see it gets 30 section where
you're presented with various options from
different kinds of designs that we
just learned about, personalized to your needs. Your also presented with actions that utilize
Adobe Firefly. Adobe is very own AI that
assist you in Design Creation. We will explore these options
in the following chapters. Finally, there are some
suggested quick actions and featured templates so you can start exploring your options. You can also specify what size are kind of design
you're looking for. At the very bottom
of this green, you can see recent designs that you've created for easy access. Now that you've learned the
layout of the dashboard, you're ready to create
your own amazing Designs.
4. Practice: Create an Adobe Account: Your first assignment
is to create an account with Adobe Express. So this is your chance to pause the video and try it
out for yourself. And now I'm going
to do it myself. You can follow
along if you want. So I'm going to go to
adobe.com slash Express. Click the Join the free Beta. And then we're going
to create an account. So I can create an account
with Apple, Google, Facebook, or your own email. I'm going to choose Google. Once you choose
your credentials, you're going to be met with this dashboard and you're
done with the assignment
5. Adobe Express vs Canva: So, you know, Adobe Express. So you've probably researched a little bit about
graphic design and what kinds of simple
tools you can use to create your own designs. So you probably have
heard of Canva, the direct competitor
of Adobe Express. So in this video we're going to compare Canva and Adobe Express. And what's Canva missing and
what the differences are, what the pros and cons are. So without further ado,
let's get started. One of the biggest things
that Adobe Express stands out in from Canva is AI, Text to image generation
and Text Effects. This is just simply not
a feature in Canva. Canva has its own AI and it's
trying to make use of it. However, it's not as good as
Adobe Firefly at the moment. So let's look at AI in Canva. It's actually just your
personal assistant that has some features that
can help your workflow. So here you can
have magic, right? Which is brainstorming with AI. This is a peak feature, while in Adobe Express
Text to image generation and Text Effects are free
for everyone to use. You can add a textbox
or you can share. These are some of the actions
they can write in here. And AI will do for you. There are bunch of
different actions that AI can do for you. But for example, add
shape, add circle. You can also go to elements. And going here and add
a circle in two clicks. So I'm not sure how
useful AI is an cameras. Now, let's go to homepage and see the homepage and
compare it to Adobe Express. It's a little more graphic. There's just like on Adobe
Express selections for you. Docs, whiteboards,
presentations, social media, videos, websites, and more. And there's an endless amount of sizes and stuff that you
can create with Canva. And these, as you can see, a very similar to Adobe Express. I think it's a win-win
from both sides. And can see tabs
such as Projects, templates, brand hub, and apps. All of these are available
on Adobe Express. Other than that, Let's go into Instagram
story for example, and see what we have
available at hand. So here we straightaway
have the templates, just like an Adobe Express. You can also choose styles. This one is not really
available on Adobe Express. With this simplicity
that Canva offers. This is basically them
offering you brand gets in brand identities.
For your design. You can go to elements. The element tool is quite
bigger than Adobe Express, and you can search
elements here. There's some suggestions here. They're also, the photos and videos are not separated
firms elements here, so it's all in one place. There's also audio,
tables, charts, frames, and collections of elements, and special day photos. Let's go to Text. This is actually a very similar, There's just no Text Effects for the text and there's a
convenient brand hub tab. There's also Upload so you
can upload your elements. You can also draw on the canvas. And there are third party apps. The third party apps are also
available on Adobe Express. You go, here's some differences of Adobe Express and Canva. Adobe Express is
really nice because it's integrated with
the Adobe System. So you can easily import
your AI files and export them to get
easily import AI files. But at the moment, Canva is more widespread. But people are really becoming interested in Adobe
Express because of the AI. And how much more they simplified the process of
creating your own posts
6. Graphic Design Basics: Imagine a world without colours, logos, or even your
favorite apps Interface. Ray, enter the dynamic
world of graphic design. Today we'll dive into
its basic principles. First things first,
what is graphic design? It's DRM practice of
planning and projecting ideas and experiences with
visual and textual content. Let's break down
the core principles every aspiring designers should know, balance and alignment. Imagine a seesaw. Both sides need Way to
stay balanced, right? Similarly in Design, bounce ensures stability and structure, whether it's symmetrical
or asymmetrical, everything has its place. Contrast opposites
attract attention. In Design, contrast
can be achieved using colors, shapes, and sizes. It helps and emphasize
and drawing attention. Repetition. Repetition creates
rhythm and can establish authority
and consistency. Think of brands and
they're consistent use of colors, fonts, and logos. Proximity, things that are
related to stay close. Proximity helps and creating a relationship between
similar or related elements, making the design
feel organized. Hierarchy, which part do you want your audience
to look at first? Second, third, hierarchy guides the viewer's
eye across the design. Space. Space doesn't always
mean emptiness. It can highlight or give
breathing room to elements, making your Design
feel open and modern. Now with these
principles in mind, remember that tools are just as crucial while pencil and paper
can be a starting point, software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign have
become industry standards. Colors set the mood from the calming blues
tune energetic reds. Understanding color
theory is a must. Topography isn't just about
choosing pretty font, it's about legibility,
tone, an even spacing. And lastly, always keep
your audience in mind. A good design is
not just pretty, but functional and user-centric. So embark unit graphic
design journey. Remember, practice
makes perfect. Start with the basics. Stay curious, and
keep experimenting
7. Module Wrap Up: So I just wanted
to quickly come on here to review
what we learned in this chapter and tell you what we're going to learn
in the next module. In this module, we
learned how to create an account with Adobe Express
using different methods, such as Google, Facebook, Apple, or your own email. And we also learned about the dashboard over
Adobe Express. To navigate the
dashboard easily and go to our homepage and know
just where everything is. We even looked at some templates very briefly when we
searched up the tennis word. And now we know our options of what we can
create an Adobe Express. So let's actually get to it
and create all Flyer next. So in the next chapter we
will explore Flyer Design. Well, you might need to
know for Flyer Design what kind of assets you might
want to use in general, just tips of creating Flyer
Design in Adobe Express.
8. Introduction to Flyer Design: We're going to unravel
the Art of Flyer Design, the pivotal role of Adobe
Express and creating captivating Flyers
and a sneak peek of what we're going to
learn in this module. Flyers have been an integral
part of marketing for decades and they continued to hold their ground
in the digital era. But what makes them
Flyer truly effective? Well, there are
five key elements. The headline, visuals, Content, call-to-action, and
contact information. Your headline is your hook. It must be catchy
and informative. It's what pulls the reader in. Visuals are crucial
for engagement. They attract attention and set the mood for the
information that follows. The content must
be clear, concise, and it should convey your
message effectively. The call to action guys, your reader on what
they should do next, like visit a website
or make it purchased. Lastly, your contact
information. Let's your reader know where
to go or who to contact for more information or to act
upon the call to action. Now that we've laid
out the basics, let's talk about a tool that makes it Flyer
Creation, a breeze. Adobe Express. It's a powerful, user-friendly designed tool that
doesn't require you to be Graphic Designer to create professional and
compelling Flyers. Adobe Express offers
an assortment of templates that catered to
various themes and occasions. It's packed with a
variety of fonts, color palettes, and even a
library of free to use photos. Moreover, it provides a simple
drag-and-drop interface, which makes it a hit among beginners and
professionals alike. You may be wondering
my Adobe Express. More. With Adobe Express, you have all the necessary tools
at your fingertips. It allows you to focus on
the creative aspect of your design without worrying
about the technical details. Its versatility
allows it to be used for both personal and
business purposes, making it a favorite among
many with the combination of the basic elements of Flyer Design and the
use of Adobe Express, you have the potential
to create stunning, eye-catching Flyers
that can captivate your audience and effectively
deliver your message
9. Step by Step Guide to Designing Flyers Part 1: So now that you have a
basic understanding of Adobe Express and what
we can do with it, it's time to actually
create our very own Flyer. So to start off, you can see the
Flyer option here. It even gives you the
dimension of the Flyer. But first we want to
look at some inspiration just to have an idea of what
we might want to create. In order to familiarize
ourselves with all the tools for Flyers that
Adobe Express has to offer. We're actually going to create a flyer for our inspiration. Let's search Up Tennis
and see what pops up. So we can see straight
away that these are all different sizes. So these might not all
work for the Flyer. But we can see some
inspiration and the vibe that most of the tennis
Flyers and graphics give off. So let's look. So for
example, I like this one. I think this is the Flyer size. So we can see that most of it is green and has a
rounded kind of font. It has something to do with the tennis court and the ball. So I think this is
enough inspiration for us to have a go at it ourselves. So now let's go back to our homepage by clicking
the top left button. And let's go to Flyer. If you want, you can
create from scratch, but we're going to
browse templates and look for one that we might want to
use as a starting point. So you can straightaway
see that all of these are about
different topics, but all of these
are all one size and they're all Flyer size. So you can see these are all
different kinds of topics. And we can actually use these as a starting point for
our tennis Flyer. But it might be a little
more complicated and complex to bring it to the
tennis theme that we want. So instead of just scrolling
through and hoping that you will bump into
something tennis related, we can click Search Flyer here. We can type in tennis. And you can filter. You can use a
filter to filter by price and the type
of the graphic. We want to use free. Because it's a Flyer. We don't actually want an animated template
or a video template. And because it's a single Flyer, we don't want multiple pages. So let's see here. All of these kind of have
the same kind of vibe. So for example, here they use some texture as well as here. Most of these, like some
of them are very graphic. These Graphic ones have
the same kind of layout. All of these Graphic ones have same kind of
similar kind of vibe. Like tennis rackets and balls. Them the kids one's
mostly have photos. I like this one. I think I like the stars, I liked the layout. We'll change it up a little bit. But I feel like this would be a good starting point
for our design. And you're free to
create anything. We'll just explore some
options that I want to show you to really widen your
tool set in Adobe Express. So first, for example, these stars are grouped, rate, want them to be
individual elements because I like them
as individual stars, but I don't want
both of them, right. So I will delete these ones. I will only leave these two. These are now usable
as separate stars. So let's leave these
aside for a second. They're going to come in
handy a little later. So what I recommend is to start from the Broad and really narrowed down
to details later. So the biggest element here, the most eye-catching
thing here is the photo. This photo is really nice, but I want to change it. I click on the image. And let's go to Media. Here you can see a bunch
of different photos, stock photos that you can freely use an olive Your Designs, and actually post
them to Social Media Here you can see these are free with the premium, Adobe Express. All the rest of these are free. And you can see these are
divided by categories. So like seasonal people,
flat lays, etcetera. So again, we can't see our
own category right now. If we're actually tennis, to not spend hours trying to find something
tennis related. Research Up Tennis here. And look at that. There are bunch of free
options and some premium ones, but the free ones, they're
really decent ones, right? So here, if we wanted
to go with a photo, here we can, here you
can choose a photo. So for example, if I wanted
to change it to this, I can click here. I click on the photo, right, and I click on Replace
page background. This photo is a little too big. You can try to place it by
double-clicking the photo. Let me show that again. By double-clicking, you open the options again of
the background photo. But you can see it's a little
too big for our design. So let's go with
something else. For that. We go to elements and we actually have the
backgrounds option. We've talked about
this previously, but it basically is a
bunch of images again, but they're mostly graphic and specifically designed
to be a background. So again, we search Up Tennis. You can see these are much
more suitable for our design. I feel like because they're
not to attention grabbing, but they're also,
they look kinda cool. So let's go with a graphic here. Let's go with this one. And it automatically
replaces the background. And I will click twice to reposition the image.
The way I want it. I want the ball a little bit closer to the center
and not this much. But somewhere around here, maybe taken the
shadow a little bit. And this has good, I
think maybe a little more in there's a little
more space here, right? So I feel like tennis net
and this rectangle clash. You're going to select the rectangle and
click on ungroup. And now we have this rectangle separately and we're going to delete it by pressing Delete. And now you can see the
font is clashing with the background because it's
black on very dark blue. Let's change the color
of the font by clicking on the text and selecting
a different fill. I will select the
weight one for now. So we want to
ungroup this because there's a rectangle element. We don't want that. And there's some
more texts grouped. And you can only change the color of each
individual element. So you need to ungroup them. So just select every single
one and change the color. So I just selected all of these. I'm going to bring it down here. And I think we need we play both doubles and
single mattress text. So I will just delete that. And let's say here, it needs to be centered this, and this needs to be centered
to this, just like this. So all of these need to be
centered to each other. So for now, let's
take these stars over here and feel like
the ball is low, too much in the center. I feel like this is
better for Flyer. Let's make this smaller and will continue
working on our Flyer. And the next lesson
10. Step by Step Guide to Designing Flyers Part2: Let's just center
everything to each other, starting from tennis club. So here we go. Now we can just select
both of these elements because they're already
centered to each other. You can see this
line right here, that this is centered to this. We need to actually
check that is centered to here as well. Right now you can
see that it is. You can also see
that the height is the same height from the
elements from tennis club to the games every
Sunday at 07:00 P.M. is the same distance from
bringing your own equipment. So now that we've
established that, it's very nitpicking, almost. The location goes a
little below that. It's also center it and
bringing it closer. Right now it's a little bit
too cramped up for my liking, because this is a header and the headline should actually
separate a little bit. And this announcement bring your own equipment should
be a little more separate. Just like this. I like this. I will leave it like this. And finally, we'll
grab these stars. We can put them
wherever we want. So I think put them here to fill up the
space a little bit. And this is my Flyer. So pretty much everything
that you need to know is grabbing and selecting elements that might fit your design. And it's all about trying and seeing what works
and what doesn't. And you can always
change up here, Design
11. Practice: Create Your Flyer: For this assignment, you have to create your very own Flyer. It can be Flyer about
just about everything. It can be something about space. It can be some event
in your neighborhood. It can be real or it
can be fictional. It's totally up to you. I just want you to
experiment with the elements and stuff we
learned in the previous lesson. So you can either
create one from a template or create
one from scratch. Right now, you can pause the video and try it
out for yourself. Or we can continue together and create a totally
FUN Flyer together. So for that, I'm going
to click on Create from scratch because I feel like
this could be very FUN. Just to start off, we're going to go to
elements and just to gain some inspiration or just to see what our starting
point can be. We're going to type in space into backgrounds and
see what's out there. So let's see, these
are pretty cool. All these are really nice. Very many options. I just want to see if
there's something less busy, not too many distractions that will take away
from the announcement. So you can see, the more you scroll down, the less related it is to space. It can be some totally
random themes, but there's also sometimes base. So I think I'm gonna go with one of these right here on top. Really like this one. It's kinda like minimalistic but also like
something about it. Screams Flyer to me. So I'm just going to
double-click on here to adjust the space, the Image. And I want the astronaut to be a little bit on the right
one, it right weighted. So because I'm thinking
the textual goes here. So I want the astronaut to counterbalance the texts
that it's gonna go here. So maybe, maybe just like this, you can always tweak it. You can always come back to it. So now let's add some text. This is going to be a
basketball game in space, so we want to add text. These are generated
Text Effects, and we're going to explore this in one of the next modules. This utilizes Adobe Firefly. The Adobe is very own AI. This is actually very FUN, but let's go to your
add your text button. And let's add the
name of our event. That's going to be basketball. And I'm going to
put it right here. I'm going to option click
drag to have another tech, to have another textbox. Alright, going to
write in space. Right now, it's
very not contrast the blends in with the background and you
can't see anything. So we're going to make it white. So let's go here. And again, you need to select every single textbox
individually. Make it a little smaller. Maybe let's select
them more funky font. Let's see if it offers
us anything here. Let's see maybe here, really like this one. I feel like it's kinda funky, kind of futuristic, cartoony. Just what we need
for this Flyer. Once make both of
them this font. On the left, you can see
the name of the font. I just copied it by
clicking Command C, and I pasted by
selecting the text, and I press Command V. Then we can select the font. Right here. This is an extra outline,
it's kinda thick. We can just do this, make it a little bigger, maybe, maybe a little smaller
because this.in the graphic, kinda wanna utilize it. Take basketball little to
the right, right about. There is kind of nice like
that will do for now. Am going to option click drag. And we're going to write
the date of our event is going to be totally a made-up event to try
and show up, please. So I feel like this
font is kind of funky. You can see just by clicking on the text or bunch of
recommended fonts. And every time
there are different And I kinda like this one, but it's kinda like too much and doesn't go well
with this font. I think I'm just going
to stick with this. You can also press View All
to look through these fonts. And then you can press here to see similar fonts that
are like that font. For example, this
one's kinda nice. Thin. Maybe we can bold it. Maybe like this. Oh, this is actually nice. Maybe we will go with this one. Let's see. I'm just trying to align it. And to align it, you click here. He selects left
alignment because I want them to be
all aligned here. Whoops, I accidentally
grabbed it. So to undo that, I wanted to press Command Z. Right now, all evenly spaced. And we have our gate here. I think I'm going to make
it a little smaller. And let's have a call to action. Let's add it by option
clicking, dragging. And let's try it
for reservations. Give us a satellite call. Because you know,
a made-up event, you might as well go full out. So let's select a
different font though. I feel like that's
a little too much. This is a little to
condense for my liking. I just want something simple. Maybe this, this
could work well. Let's separate this here. Press Enter. Here's our call to action and see if this is all
evenly spaced. Yes. And let's add the bottom. Have a little side note with
a very small font size. Like, you know, the
classic fine print. That's what it is. Fine print. I keep forgetting
the word for it. Here. We can say, Bring
Your Own water. And then let's give
them very fine print, saying that the event will
actually run in 2044. But make Your very small, so very small amount of
people can actually see that. So maybe a little bigger. Let's center it to
the text first. And then let's center it. Let's group this by
clicking Group on the left. And then we want to
align it to the center. You can align it here by
clicking this button. And as you can see,
it's already centered. And you can also
double-check this by just grabbing and dragging it. And if you see this pink line at the center running through
the entire canvas, this means it's centered. So I'm just going to
leave it like this. I'm pretty happy
with this design. To export it, you just click
Download on the top-right. You're served with
these options. Png, JPEG, and PDF. Pdf is best for documents, as it says here. It's also really
good for printing. That's how you usually receive
your printing document. Jpeg. Jpegs are smaller and P&G's, this is the way we
want to Export, usually for social
media posts and just for digital documents that you're not going to print. So you can select between PNG and PDF if you're actually
going to print Your Flyer, I really recommend
selecting PDF and you just click download and
it's there to download. And after waiting a little bit, you have your own design, your own Flyer, just right here. I'm pretty happy
with this design. Again, you can keep playing
around with the fonts, with the spacing, with, you know, the text and
what you want to write. It's all in Your hands. I just wanted to show
you a quick examples of what you can create
in just a short, quick assignment, and I'll
see you in the recap video.
12. Module Wrap Up: In this module that
you've learned all about Flyer Design and Flyer
Design and Adobe Express. And little tips on spacings
of the texts, the fonts, the design elements, choosing a stock photo or
choosing a background. What's the difference
is between those two? Just having FUN with the Flyer, Design yourself in
the assignment. So next up we're going to focus on Video Editing
and Adobe Express. And I hope to see you there.
13. Introduction to Video Editing: In this module, we're
going to be exploring Video Editing and Adobe Express. So to start, you can select the size of the video you want and what you
want to create. Or either you can use this option to start creating your video
from the very Scratch. So there are standard
videos and social videos. And below that, you have your quick actions where you can trim Video, re-size Video, convert to Jeff, and many
other options that you can do without going
into editing at all. Below that, you can also
see the feature templates. This can really help
when you're just starting out with video editing, especially because it can
be really overwhelming. So Adobe Express offers many, many good options that
you can choose from. And just below that,
there's a feature to Adobe Stock videos just to
have a look at what kind of material you can have
and you can use without actually importing your
own videos. To wrap it up. In this module,
we're going to learn all about Video
Editing, Adobe Express. Well how to trim, how
to put things together, how to add Effects, how to add text and animated. So yeah, I'll see you
in the next lesson.
14. Editing Videos with Adobe Express Part 1: So let's start looking
at the features of Video Editing and Adobe Express and what we can do with it, and maybe even create
our own little edit. So I want to create an
Instagram real for today. So we can either browse templates
or create from scratch. I want to create my
video from a template. As we can see on the left, we have the templates opened
up for us and we can choose from any of that we want just to use it as a starting point. You can also filter your
templates by price and by type. The price is all
free or premium. And the types are
animated templates, multiple pages and
Video templates. And we want to look at Video
templates for this one. Let's see. We want to create a fashion view that will show off different fashion elements, maybe something like this. So we might want
to look around for something that really
stands out to us. This is very interesting, but this doesn't fit our theme. I think I'm gonna go with
this one on the very top. And when you click on it, you can see a larger window. You can either add as pages to this existing
project that we just created or we can create a new project that we
will import it into. We want to add it as
pages to this project. So let's look at the template right here
as well in the timeline. Just to see how it plays. This window might be a
little overwhelming, but because we already are familiarized with Adobe Express, it should feel familiar. So here you have
your main canvas. This is where you're
going to be viewing your video and you're
going to see your result. Next you have your timeline. Here. You can see the video clip
here on top separately. Here you can see
the video with all of the effects and the
text that's on there. You can play the video by
pressing the Play button. And this little line shows
where you are in the video. You can also add a scene here. Here on the right. You can extend the
timeline or shorten it, does just makes it easier. If you're looking for
a specific frame. Here you have your scale option. You can also choose to
display or to hide layers. Next on the left, we have the Video Details. This is just like
the image details or element details
just for the video. So here you can replace it. You can duplicate it, you can delete it, can change the order. Source info, crop. Change the volume or muted. If you don't want any sound, you can speed it up
or slow it down. You can choose the opacity. For example, in this template, it was turned down a little
bit. Let's turn it up. You can choose the blend mode. The blend mode helps you blend the layers better
together because we have only one layer here is not actually
going to change anything. You can also flip it both ways. You can also fit the
video to your Canvas or fill the video tier
Canvas and didn't Effects. You have bunch of different
effects to choose from. Just changes the
color of your video. So next, we can color
graded as well. Here you have your classic
photo editing options, and then next you can choose
an animation for your video. This is mostly used for when
you're adding elements, but you can also animate
your own videos. So this was just an
introduction to your workspace just to get you familiar with
the Video Editing aspect. Because I know it can be scary and I know it can
be overwhelming. So I just wanted to give you
a little tutorial before we actually start and edit
the video together.
15. Editing Videos with Adobe Express Part 2: So now that we're familiar
with our layout and have an understanding of
our workflow a little bit. Let's actually start
and edit our real. So just like we said in
the previous lesson, we're going to make
it about fashion. So let's see, we already
have one video here. I don't think I'm going
to leave this text, but let's leave it just for now. And let's focus on
choosing the clips that we want to
use in this video. So let's go to elements. So let's go to Media. You can see a bunch of options
for stock videos. Here. As always, you might already be familiar with the
concept at how it works. So here you can see a
bunch of categories, small business,
fashion and beauty, food and drink,
outdoors, etcetera. So as we decided, are going to focus on
fashion and beauty. So let's click on View All
and see what's out there. So as you can see, there are 227 videos in total that
we can choose from. So let's see here. So these are about makeup. Some of these are shot
in the studio solid. These are more natural and
I want to go with a low, more natural look for this one. It might take a little longer to low because these are videos and they're usually high-quality and they're usually in for
K as stock videos. So let's go with this
one as our second clip. And so to add this as a new, we click on Add Scene. And we have a black screen here. We can click on this and
add the video in here. So let's see what we have here. You can see there's
a little jump cut. And let's actually
make this shorter. So because Instagram
Reels are usually 15 s, we are going to want
to cut it to 15 s. Let's see. It goes from here. Let's actually delete the
text while we're added. Let's select the text, just clicking and
then shift clicking. The wrong thing. Here we go. Now, we don't have any texts, we don't have any animation. We can make this clip
a little shorter. So let's see. For a shortcut, you can actually press space for the video
to start playing. So here it goes from this video and just
jump cuts to here. Pretty simple, pretty easy, in a good start. So here you can
press on plus just to add a scene in-between
these two videos. If you want to do that. You can also
rearrange your clips. So let's actually make
this a little shorter. And see, make it the same time. Maybe. Here we go. It goes
from here to here. And I'm pretty happy with that. Let's find a few
more clips to use. So let's add a scene. I think I'm going
to use this one. Let's choose it. Let's shorten it to maybe 2.3 s. And in total, we
can see the time. The video is. The video at the
moment is 5 s long. We want it to be these
12 s, ideally 15 s. So let's add a new scene. Let's select the video. So you can see the
video is horizontal. So we can scale it up. Here we go and reposition it just by clicking
and dragging. You can play the video to check. Let's see, maybe we want to
use this part of the video. So let's see where that part is. So here we can trim the
clip Up to this point. And now in our real is
going to start here. And I think you'd go and she goes out of
frame a little bit. And this is where
I'm going to cut it. So now our real is 7 s. Let's see a few more. Let's add this clip. Let's see. Let's trim it. Make shorter. Let's add another one. Make this one a little smaller. And so let's select a last clip. That's going to be our ending. I think I'm gonna
go with this one. Let's make it a little shorter. Here we go, and here
is our entire real. Let's see, Let's
play from the start. Here we go, our 12 second real. And in this video, we just edited the video. In the next lesson, we're going to add some texts, some animations, and some
Effects to spice up your real
16. Editing Videos with Adobe Express Part 3: So now that we have
our real for Video to add some FUN
things to our video. Let's go to the start. Let's go to the first clip. And let's imagine
this is a real that a fashion brand has created selling their clothes
on Instagram. So let's add some text
and let's write shop. Now, let's select a
more luxury font. For example. Maybe this one, this
one looks good. Let's position it
below the model. Let's make it a little bigger. Then let's select maybe
a different color. Let's try it. Maybe a
little bluish color. And this panel is just
your classic panel, just like we saw in
the previous module. Here you have the
font, the size font. If you want to underline
the alignments, the bullet points,
the line spacing. Here below, this is what
we're interested in, deer, you can add the animation. Add a shape, outline
to your text, add a shadow or
add Text Effects, which is a Firefly
feature that we're going to explore in
the next module. So let's keep it like this. And I want to add an
animation to this text. So let's add an animation. And here you have a variety of animations that
you can choose from. So let's choose drift. And this just means
it's going to drift away from our scene. Here. You can see their
options for the animation. There's a duration, which means how long the
animation will play. So usually, usually 2.5 is
nice and slow and steady. Just to have that smooth effect. You can also have a personality
for your animation. You can do soft, smooth, strong,
energetic, or loud. Let's keep it an energetic, and you can select the
direction of the drift. It's also keep it to the right because we're
going to the right and it kind of almost takes us to the next clip
like an arrow. Here. I want to add another Text. Want to write limited
availability. Let's choose another font. For example, this one. I like how this one looks, and it's the same one
that we use previously. So it adds a nice
continuation in a nice flow because this text
is hard to see right now. Because the background
is kinda busy with the dress and with the
background being uneven. I want to add a shape
around the text. And I want to add a rectangle. And let's Click it one
more time to select the shape size and select
a different shape fill. So I'm pretty happy with that. Let's also select an animation. I think we want in an animation. So remember we had the
drift to the right. So I think we, if we have something
coming from the left, it will add a nice
transition for the Text. Let's see. Let's
actually select drift. And it already selected the direction of the clip of the transition to make it nicer. So one more question that
might arise here is, how do I have the
same Text here? Translate this clip. Well, one of the
limitations with Adobe Express is you
can't just extend here. So it goes onto here and it's just the same texts because
it's different scenes. You actually need to create
the same thing here. So what we're gonna
do is we're going to select limited availability. And we're going to go here, paste, make this the
duration of the scene. And let's just remove the animation just so
it stays right there. And it's all
seemingly one thing, but it's actually two
different elements. Let's move on to the next clip. Here, I want to add
some element that will add some more movement
to this video. So let's see, maybe this
ribbon could be nice. Let's see, maybe we put it here. It matches her hair,
matches the ribbon. Let's make this a
little smaller. Here we go. It maybe we can add an animation We can add a looping animation, which means it's going to play the entire
duration of the clip. So let's see what we might want. And I think I'm going
to go with jitter, but I'm going to make this
element a little bigger. Here would go. And you have it. And it's almost like a
cartoony kind of vibe. I think I want to remove it. So it disappears when the
face crosses over the line. So let's select the element. And let's cut it right here. It's just going to disappear. And actually when that happens, I think I want another
element to come in. So I want this one to come in, going to make it
a little bigger, going to turn it around. Put it right here. I'm going to option, click, drag and
rotate it around. Let's select, let's select
each element one by one. And let's select the
pulse animation. And let's actually
speed it down. Just so it's not overwhelming
to the, I select. This animation is well, let's like pulse, slow it down. Let's see how it plays. And we want this
to come in later. After, after this pink element, this appears. So here we wanted to
put it here. Let's see. Here we go. Maybe a little even closer here. Here we go. Let's select the other element and
do the same thing. Just click and
drag and place it. Here we go. Think I'm pretty happy with this real I don't want
to overwhelm it. So I think I'm just going
to leave it like this. Let's watch the entire thing just to see if we're
happy with it. And think I'm happy with it. Yes, I think I like it. So I'll see you in
the assignment three
17. Make Your Own Video: So for this assignment, I just want you to
experiment with Effects, with some texts,
with some animation. And add those, and add those things to a video of your favorite
season of the year. It can be either Your
Own Video or it can be stocked Video for him. Adobe Express, it
doesn't matter, I just want you to experiment
and how foam with it. So now is your chance to try it out for yourself
and pause the video. Or we're just going to get started and you
can do it with me, and we can do it together. So for this one, I want to create
a YouTube video. I'm going to create
from scratch. So let's see. My favorite time of
the year is summer. So here to here, I'm going to search up summer. And we're just going
to see what pops up. For example, these
vertical videos or no, because they're vertical
and they're not suitable for a YouTube video. Here we have some good options. I like surfing, so this
might be an option. We've got some
classic lagoon vibes. And let's see. I think I'm
gonna go with this one, this surfing one because
it hits close to home. So I'm going to click
on fill the video, just so it fills
the entire frame. Let's play the video. Let's see, this is just
surfers catching the wave. Want to add some
text to this video. So let's click on
texts and add texts, and I'm going to write summary. Let's select a more
summer vibe kind of font. For example, this one. I wanted to change the
color of the text to probably some shade
of yellow just to represent the classic
sun, yellow blues. And let's go to elements. Let's write in summer
and see what pops up. I actually like these to think I'm gonna
go with this one. I'm going to change the summers font color
just to match this one. Going to do this with
a color picker tool. I'm going to click
here and go here. So let's see, dragged
down Summer little bit. Let's center the Sun. Puts summer text underneath it. And here we go. Let's add an
animation to our Sun. I want it to be a
looping animation, and I wanted to spin. Again. There are different
options of animation. Let me show you by
upping the intensity, the difference between these. You can see this one has a momentum in the
beginning, then slows down. This one's a little
more aggressive. And they all just wary by
the type of animation. So this one, for example, swinging back-and-forth
from the energy, would think I'm going to go with the soft one and I'm going to bring down the
intensity a lot. I think this is kind of good, maybe a little slower even. You can, of course change
the direction of your spin. But I'm happy with
the clockwise spin. So let's see, let's add an animation to our
summer as well. Let's add an animation. Let's make it pop. And let's see what
that looks like. Here we go. I'm going to select an
animation for this one. Selected out animation,
and let's select drop. And what this is gonna do is
going to create an effect that makes it seem like the sun is triggering
the summer to pop. As you can see, the sun goes down and that
triggers this summer. Here we go. Here's your assignment. I can't wait to see
what you create, what your favorite seasons are. And I'll see you in
the recap video.
18. Module Wrap Up: So congrats on finishing
another module. This module we learned all about Adobe Express and Video Editing. How to edit your
own little real. How to add Effects, how to add elements, how to add some
animations to your video, and how to put
everything together and create a nice looking video. So in the next video, we'll look at Adobe Express
with Adobe Firefly. What Firefly is, how it's used, what kind of features
are available in Adobe Express that come
from Adobe Firefly, such as Text to image
generation and Text Effects. And we'll look at
the power of AI. You apply it to graphic design. I'll see you in the next module.
19. Introduction to Firefly: In this module, we're going
to focus on Adobe Firefly and what features you can use Adobe
Firefly in Adobe Express. So to start off, I want to tell you a little
about Adobe Firefly itself. The service itself, not within Adobe Express, but
independently, just to see its
possibilities and to have some contexts when you
use it in Adobe Express. So Adobe Firefly,
it is trained on a dataset of Adobe Stock along with openly licensed work in public domain content where
it copyright has expired. So basically it's not
stealing any Art. And it is all licensed. Along with that to give
you a little context of what's going to
happen in the future with Adobe if there
are any concerns that you might have with
the use of Adobe Firefly, Adobe will introduce did not train tag for creators who do not want their content
used in model training, the tag will remained
associated with Content wherever it is used,
published, or stored. So anything you create
with these tools that we're going to learn
about belong to you. And it will not be used to train the AI if
you don't want to. What can you actually
do in Adobe Firefly? So right now, the features
that are available in Adobe Express are Text
Effects and Text to image. There are also
available on Adobe. Firefly is on page. What isn't available on Adobe
Express is generative fill, which allows you
to use a brush to remove objects or painting
new ones from test it. Text descriptions. For example, you can see here, they took out the
coat with a brush. They selected the area
that the code was in. And they can select this area. And actually right at
text prompt that will change this area into
something that you want. Next. We also have generative
re-color and you can recolor your artwork really
easily with this feature. What isn't available but will
be in the future hopefully, is 3D to image, which is basically texturizing your 3D models and creates a 3D scene
using a text prompt. And extend image where
you can select an area. It will extend the image for you and it matches really well. And This feature is actually available in Photoshop AI
if that's something that you're interested in
or you can wait for an access later when Adobe
Firefly releases it. So now that you know what we can do with just Adobe Firefly, let's go back to Text To
Image and Text Effects. Text to Image means you can
write a text prompt and the AI will actually generate an image according to
that text description. Or where Text Effects
means you can apply styles and texturize your text in
real time with a text prompt. So let's now get back to Adobe Express and
to our dashboard. If we scroll down
actually you can see these features
are right here, text to Image and Text Effects. So in this module,
we will learn about both and how to apply those to your design and how
you can really get creative with these
Adobe Firefly features in Adobe Express
20. Text to Image Feature Overview: Let's first look into
Text to image generation in Adobe Express
using Adobe Firefly. So here you can straight
away see the prompt window here where you can generate your own images right
from your dashboard. You can also see what
other users have created. You can see their exact
text brahms that they used. For example, this
text prompt is really specific and the image
quality is really, really nice as well. So let's see a bunch
of different prompts. In of course, if you put in the same exact text
prompt as these, it is not guaranteed
that the text to Image generator will create
the exact same version. It will always create
some variation of it. So let's try our
own text prompt. Let's write a futuristic city that is taken over by aliens. And let's see what it generates. We just click Generate and
wait for it to appear here. Here we go. We can see this is clearly matching the
text prompt really well. And you can see different
variations of this. On the left. You can click on Load more for it to
generate more images. So this one is the most
accurate one I feel like because we said aliens and we can see some creatures here. We can also see these. This one has an alien, I think, like a classic
stereotypical one. Here we only see ruins. So you can choose, you
can keep exploring, and you can keep on generating
more and more stuff. Let's go back here and we
can choose the content-type. So it will generate
different kinds of styles for the content
that you describe. For example, a photo. It looks a little
more like a photo. You can also create
a graphic one. So the graphic is more cartoony. And let's try out Art. And you can see these
are all kinds of variations of the
style we chose. And I think I want to go
back to the original one. And we can also choose a style. For example, synth wave. Let's see what that does. It gives off more of a
neon '80s kind of vibe. And it also changes the style of all of the images that
were generated before. So feel free to play
around with this. There are bunch of
different kinds of styles. You can use this as
a starting point. You can also enhance your
texts from, for example, a futuristic city that has taken over by aliens is
not enough for you. I also want to see flying cars. I know we saw some
flying cars in the generated images
by one to be specific. And I want them to be in
every single text prompts. So I write and
flying retro cars. Why not? Let's wait and see
what it generates. And here we go. These are not
really flying cars. There's one. Okay. There's a few more, I think because we
said retro cars, maybe that doesn't really
match the reality. It wasn't able to recreate it. But let's go with this one. And we can actually see that not only are
there these options, they're also really, really
different styles that really can change the
entire field of the image. For example, steampunk
should generate something really different
and out-of-the-box. So, yeah, see, it's all golden. It's more steam punk. So feel free to experiment
with this text to Image and be really
specific with your prompt. And makes sure to
specify what exactly you want and feel free to tweak
around the text prompts. And I'll see you in the next video where we will
talk about Text Effects.
21. Practical Guide to Text To Image: Let's first look into
Text to image generation in Adobe Express
using Adobe Firefly. So here you can straight
away see the prompt window here where you can generate your own images right
from your dashboard. You can also see what

around the text prompts. And I'll see you in the next video where we will
talk about Text Effects.
22. Understanding Text Effects: So now that we've learned about
Text to image generation, it's time to move
on to Text Effects. So here we can see
some examples. Just as usual. We can see different
textures, such as sand. We can see the text prompts that give really detailed problems. For example, let's
read this one, shiny light pink
velvet fabric cushion, and it gave exactly that. So let's learn to create
our own Text Effects. So here we have our
texts generator window. So we can describe the
text effect that we want. I want to create
something like this. I want to see how it looks on Text because I feel
like it could be PFK-1. So let's actually try this. So let's write Eastern carpet. And let's see what it generates. This is actually a
really good attempt. Let's see some
different variations. Let's see here, this kind of removed some elements
of the letters. So I like this for
this text prompt, but let's explore
some different kind of customizations that you
can do with this text. So you can choose the
font that you apply, the Text Effect two, you have many different
fonts to choose from here. You can also change how your texture is applied
to the letters itself. So for example, this is loose. If we take it too tight, it will regenerate the image. So it will generate
something a little more different with the
same text prompt. Here you can see that
the print is actually a little tighter as the, as the description said. And this actually might give us a little more cleaner look. We're not limited
by only one print. There are also
sample Effects that you can try out for yourself. There are already pre-made. So let's look what's in here. So for example, if
you like chunky knit, you can just select it from
already made Text Effects. And here we go. It just
generates the text effect for you without needing to
write another text prompt. So in the next video, we'll
actually explore on how to implement this
in your design. How to maybe mix
different styles and Use Text Effects
to its full potential.
23. Applying Text Effects in Your Designs: Now that you have a good
understanding of Text Effects, Let's actually learn
how to apply it to Your Designs
in Adobe Express. So first, let's
select a design that we want to add Text Effects to. So I'm going to use
our assignment poster. I'm going to click on it. So after we open
the project here, we click on Text to add
some new Text Effects. So we click here
and we select from the Text Effects are already
available and premade. So let's see. As this is a poster about space, I want something futuristic. For example. Let's select glitch. This might be too much
for this graphic. So let's select and
write it ourselves. So let's ripe space. But in cartoon style and
see what it comes up with. So we can see there are really futuristic looking
ones on the left. For example, this
one and this one. It's in cartoon style, so it pulled that off. Well, I really liked this one. I want to check this one out. I really like, I
really liked this one. I want to check this
one out. So let's see. Okay. And by double-clicking,
I can change the text. For example, I can
read basketball. Instead of that
font that we chose. Basketball is going
to be written in this font with the
text effect applied. That's how easy you
can change and great, even your own font, but in a very creative way. So let's put it
instead of this Text, and let's Command X
to cut the object. And we can select and delete this one and paste in
place with Command plus V. So next, I want to involve
multiple Text Effects. So let's actually
create something else. Maybe we can select, this, will double-click to
select individual Text. And then we'll go to Text
Effects and write a prompt. So I want this
text to be kind of like glass that you
can see through. So let's say this is glass. You can see it's
kind of giving us a metallic look on the left. But I think this is not bad. I feel like this one. This one is that bad. We can change the opacity of this text just to
make it see-through. Because this is glass
that's important. And here we go. We blended
it with the scene. And right now we have to Text Effects in
this Flyer poster. But as always, feel free to
experiment and keep trying new things and see what stuff
look like for yourself. Because every text
prompt is unique. After every text prompt, the generated image that AI has produced might not
ever be recreated. So I'll see you in
assignment four
24. Practice: Use Text Effects and Text to Image: So for this assignment, I want you to utilize what we learned in this
module to its fullest. So the assignment is to
Use Text Effects and Text to image generation to
create your own graphic. So it can be any image, any, can be any effect. There doesn't need to be any technical placement
of the elements. I just want you to create them
and put them on the canvas and see what they look like and see if you're happy
with your result. Now is the opportunity to pause your video and try
it out for yourself. Or you can join me and we can do this assignment together. Right now. I'm going to go down here. And I want to start out with
Text to image generation. Just because then I'll have a better idea of what
I want my text to be. So I want to create a
graphic for furniture store. So I will start out by
writing of furniture. Furniture store. Next, I want to be a
little more specific. So let's actually say bright furniture
store just to make sure it's a bright store
with good lighting, just to make sure it's a
bright and name graphic. It's also indicate that
we want pastel colors. Dry pastel. Let's write also high-end, luxurious brands. So I think I'm happy
with this prompt and let's just go for it. Let's see what it generates. So let's see, this is
a nice generation, but the pastel colors, I feel like it focused more on the pink elements
of the pastels, whereas I was more imagining
very neutral colors, everything is beige and shades of different
pastel colors. And this is a little too
vibrant for my liking. So let's see some more
different options. So let's actually, I think we
should specify that we want neutral colors, pastel,
neutral colors. And let's regenerate. So this is much better and it includes many different shades of different pastel colors. So I'm happy with that. We can also see some
other generations. This is nice. This is nice as well. I like this one as well. I, but I think but I think I'm
going to go with this one. And so to finish
our assignment of we just need to
create some texts, any Text using Text Effects. So let's see. Let's select the cushion moon. I feel like this
would be fitting because it's a furniture store. So let's write furniture store. Now. Open. As you can see. And as you can see, it generates the text. It generates the texture that the effect right on top
of it in real time. And I think I'm going to change the font for not is now open. Going to make this smaller. And let's select this rectangle. Rectangle, drag it
onto the canvas. Accidentally added
two, we just need one. So let's make this
image a little bigger. So the floor areas a little bigger so the text fits nicer. You don't have to
do this because the ultimate goal is
just essentially you playing around with
the Effects and Adobe Firefly in Adobe Express. But I just wanted to
make a proper example. So I am trying to make
sure that it's perfect. So I'm going to
option click drag. And we want a different font for the end of the announcement. So let's write now
open and let's command a select the text. And let's select
the font and turn off the effect by
clicking Remove effect. So instead now we
have the basic text. We can make it a little smaller. And I think this is good. The texture is kind of show
that it's a furniture store. The letters are
literally pillows. So I think I'm happy with that. So this was our assignment
for this module. And I'll see you in
the recap video.
25. Module Wrap Up: In this module, you
have learned how to use Text to image
generation and generate your own images and Text Effects to apply on your texts
in Your Designs. So in the next module, we're going to learn how to
create an Instagram Post. Utilize Adobe Express to its fullest potential when
creating an Instagram Post. And how to schedule your
own design directly into your social media
account for it to post automatically at
your desired time. I'll see you in the next module.
26. Creating an Instagram Post Part 1: So in our last module of
our Adobe Express course, you will learn all about Instagram Post creation
and scheduling. So let's get started. You want to go to
Social Media tab. We can actually see different kinds of
social media posts. On the very top you have
the popular tab, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and all the
different social platforms. So in this module, we're interested in
the Instagram tab. And here you can see all of
the different options for Instagram and what you
can create for Instagram. So in this module,
we're going to create an Instagram square Post. You can also create an
Instagram story, real carousel, a story add, just a basic, add a portrait Post
or a landscape Post. And all of these, as you hover over, you can see this size
at the very bottom. And you don't even
have to Google it. It just tells you right here. Once you click on here, as usual, create from
scratch or browse templates. Once you click, it will
automatically create the canvas size just
to fit that Post. And you can start
creating straight away.
27. Creating an Instagram Post Part 2: We can actually start
creating our Instagram Post. For some inspiration,
let's go to templates and see
what we can make. Let's see, There's all
kinds of templates for any kind of social media
posts that you would need. So let's see. We've
already did fashion in another module and we already
did space and sports. So let's maybe do a party. So I want to use this
template as a base. And I'm just going
to delete a couple of things that maybe I
don't really want to use. So it's going to
be a night party. I think we can leave
this text right here. Actually, instead of that, I'm going to Text. Actually instead of that, we're going to leave this text, but we can, but we will
also apply a Text Effect. Let's see, as this is the party. As a party, I want to
be a little funky. So I'm going to
select balloon should give us a balloon
effect on this text. So you can see it transformed. I was hoping for a different kind of vibe and
also the night turned it, the end turned into an H. So let's try a
disco ball instead. I'd kinda like the texture
better, but again, it turned the n's to x's. So maybe it's
because of the font. So let's do Command Z. Command Z again, maybe select a different font that will
be easier for the generator. So let's see. Let's try disco ball
again. Here we go. This produces a
very nice result, much nicer than the one
we previously tried. This is because the
text effect doesn't actually see it as a font. It transforms it into a shape and it just
outlines the shapes. So in that case, it was hard because the
end was really close. Like the left and right lines were really close and
it was kinda weird. So actually having a wider font makes it better for
the text effect. So okay, I like this and
think I'm just going to make this text white
and put it underneath, make it a little
smaller so it matches. Also, let's change
the background because this kind of
clashes right now. Let's make this something
a little more neutral. Let's see, maybe, let's see actually in the media maybe there's something there for us. Let's type in party. And I don't think I
want to use a photo. So let's see, let's
go into backgrounds. Let's type in party. Maybe there's some nice
graphic that we could use. Maybe this one, maybe
be a little busy. Yeah. Let's see. This is all kind of beach vibe. I don't know if I wanted
to go for it yet. This might be nice. Yes, I like this. This is kind of synth wave, matches the 80s with this font. Let's make this bigger. And it matches this
grid perfectly. And I think I'm just
going to leave these, I'm going to delete the x's. And I kinda like this layout. So I think I'm just going
to leave it as it is. Let's select the text, make it a little bigger. Let's take this down a notch. Take this here. Honestly, just playing
around with it right now. Might wanna do this
ticket up a little. And I'm happy with that. Let's delete this sex. Delete this because it
doesn't really match. I'll leave DJ Jennifer, I'll leave the date. I'm pretty satisfied with this. So now that we have
this Instagram Post, we actually want to schedule it. So in order to schedule it, you click on Share, you click on Schedule Post. Here you have a bunch
of different options. You can either schedule it, you can select the
date and the time, and those social media posts
will go live at this time. Or you can publish now, which will publish it immediately to your
social media page. And here you can
select the channel. And you can connect
your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,
Pinterest, or LinkedIn. And we're interested
in Instagram for now. Here you have the option
to connect to Instagram, which will take you to
this pop-up screen. And the profile that
you want to post two has to be a business profile for the scheduling feature to work. And by clicking
connect via Facebook, you are prompted to
login to your Facebook. Then you can go through the steps to connect
your Instagram. So once you connect
your Instagram, you can add your caption here. And it can be any caption
within 2,200 characters. You can also write
Up first comment, which will be your very first
comment under your post. So there's no competition. Rush to be the first
comment and you have the same options
for the schedule. It will just schedule at the certain time
that you select. You also have the option
to save it as a draft. And you can preview
your Post right here. You can also add multiple
images for it to be a castle, but this is not what
we wanna do right now. Click on Save as a draft, and let's save it
as a draft for now. Here you go. Here you go. Now learn how to create your very own Instagram Post and how to schedule
it to Social Media
28. Adobe Express Add-ons: So in this lesson, I just wanted to quickly show you what are Add-ons
in Adobe Express. For that, I will go into one of our designs that we
have created together. So Add-ons are basically kind of like apps
for Adobe Express. And you can discover them
right here on the left tab. So let's explore some
of them together. We've got to
colorblindness simulator. You can connect to
Dropbox One Drive for easy file-sharing
and saving. You can also discover
artworks for Your Designs. There's also a 3D library
which is very powerful. There's shapes and
patterns that you can use, their many, many different apps. You can convert your
designs into N of T's. You also have a helping hand in colors where you can
generate tints and shades. Attention insight as well. That analyzes your design. Let's see, Let's start with
the colorblindness simulator. I click on it, and
I click on Add. And let's see what
it looks like. For a colorblind person. If there's enough contrast
and if it's legible, maybe bring your own
water is unreadable. So we would have to change this to have a larger contrast. Next. It can look through different
kinds of colorblindness, especially here, you
can't read this at all. So this means we
would need to change, bring your own water Text. So next, let's explore
onDraw and just click on it. And I click on Add a can explore all different kinds of illustrations that are
already made for you to use. You can also change the color
of the vector if you want. So maybe make it purplish. You can just add
it to your design. In it is right here. So next, let's see one of this. So here we have different
collections that we can use. Squiggles, hand
gestures, social icons, different special days, and different inflatable
letters, abstract. And you can see
there are a bunch of different options they can add to your design and
in different colors as well. So next, let's see motives. And you have here a bunch of settings to create
your own pattern. So for example, I'm
happy with this. Click on Add to page. It automatically adds
the element right here. Maybe even we could put it
right here on the moon. Why not? Next? Couple of more
things that I want to look at is
clipping mask probe, which is extremely
useful in Adobe Express because this is not a
feature like it is in Canva. But in Canva you have
also your limitations. In terms of what kinds
of frames you can have. Here. You just upload an image and you select a mask that you
want that image to fit. Two some really
creative options. And feel free to
explore it by yourself. There are really
some funky ones. Yeah, this is really useful. You can also create your own
clipping mask right here. So one more that I want to
look at is color designer. This basically aid you in choosing your colors
for your design. For example, it
grabbed the orange. You can look at the
shades of this color. Look at the color harmonies, which is really useful
when you're trying to choose your color
palette for your design. So it's going to
offer you that match the certain rules and graphic design when
you're choosing colors. So yeah, feel free to explore all of these Add-ons by
yourself in your own time. These are just the ones
that are really useful for me that I use personally. And I really hope
you take the time to explore all of the
rest of the Add-ons. And I'll see you
in the next video.
29. Create your Instagram Post: So for this assignment, our goal is to create an Instagram square Post and schedule it to your
own social media. So this is the time
when you can pause the video and try it
out for yourself. Or you can keep watching. And we'll create
an Instagram Post together and schedule it. So in order to start, we're going to
create from scratch. And for the background, I actually want to Use
Text to image generation. And let's select
Image size square. And let's type in Bob
Ross style background. Let's click on Generate. This Instagram post
is going to be an invitation to
a painting night. So that's why I wanted to go
with something well-known, maybe a well-known style. We'll see what it degenerate. That's great. That's actually
exactly what I want. It. It's a background,
it's not too busy. It has very nice colors. There's actually a
little bit of a space for us to put in our text. Let's see if you more options. But I think this one is
actually the best one. So let's go with this one. So next, I'll look
at the templates. Just for some inspiration. Let's type in pink night. Maybe something will pop up. Not really. So let's
type in something else. Let's just make it a little
broader and type in pain. You go, there's a workshop. And I don't actually see
like the vision that I want. Maybe this one looks
like what I want. I think it's best if
I just do it from scratch myself and
execute my vision. So, and never be afraid to try that and to
actually experiment. If you don't see something
in the templates, just go for it and see
what you come up with. So let's see, let's go to Text and maybe we'll look through
the logos a little bit. Maybe there's some logo type five that wiki use
for this invitation. Let's go into seasonal. Maybe not in seasonal, but maybe this one. Let's ungroup this. Let's delete this. And we can do this. And let's type in paint. Night. I actually liked this font, so I'll keep it like that. Let's change the
text color to white. Prairie here has kinda nice. Let's make Your bigger, right? And let's option click drag
and lots writing the date, and let's write in the date. So for example, those 606, 2023, that sixth of June. Let's select a
different kind of font. I like this. Yes. Kind of like a
painting style vibe. It's actually put a night
a little closer to paint. Put this maybe right here, maybe somewhere here. Let's align this. Let's align this to the
right line, this tonight. Let's also make this
a little bigger. To make this a little bigger
to fill in the Canvas alone more really like the placement. Maybe it's not too bad. Yeah, I'll leave it like that. Let's look at some elements. Let's look at some
Design assets. Just to fill in the
Canvas a little bit. Not this kind of vibe. Maybe a red and pink
brush painting. Here we have a different
element that kind of fit. It's better. Why not? Just having FUN? So this could be it. Let's look at some
more elements. And if we can't find anything, that's okay because I'm
pretty satisfied with this. Maybe we could make this work. No, this is already
too much. Here we go. This might be nice. This is very nice. Here we go. This was the missing piece. There's always, when
something's not clicking, Just keep looking. You'll find the thing that
makes it Click for sure. Take this all higher. Make this smaller than here. I'm going to command
X, Command V, just to take it in the, in front of this layer. Go take this whole higher. I'm pretty happy with this. So now to schedule it
with Click on Share, click on scheduled Post. And let's select a channel. Select Instagram, and
let's select the date. So I want it to go live on the first August of 2023 at 01:00 P.M. let's
write a caption. Let's say you're invited to paint night DM us
for reservations. And more info. Here we go. That's my caption. I want to leave
first comment empty. So let's preview the Post. This is what it's going to
look like on Instagram. And instead of the schedule
button being grayed out, you will actually be able to click on it and
schedule your posts. So you go, this was
your assignment. I'm really excited to see
what you come up with and what kind of social media
posts you will come up with. Again, it doesn't have
to be an invitation. It's just what I came up with. It can be about anything, can be ON awareness Post. It can be about you. It can be about nature, about cats, dogs,
whatever you would like. So I will see you
in the recap video
30. Skillshare Course Project: Welcome to your capstone for your skillshare Course and
for your final assignment, Your task is to
create a poster about your favorite musician using Text to image generation
and templates. So I just want you to, as always, have FUN with it. Don't take it too seriously. We're just here to
learn and experiment and can be something
really basic. I just want you to use those tools in any
way that you want to. Now is the chance
for you to pause your last assignment video
and try it out for yourself. Or we can go ahead
and do it together. So to start, I'm going
to go to the for you tab and click on Flyer
and browse templates. So let's see. Let's type
in music to templates. Here we go, we have a bunch
of different options. I want to choose something with a photo so I
can add my photo. And my favorite musician
at this point is Peggy Gu. I'm going to go and
search up on Google. And let's choose a photo
to use on the Flyer. I'm going to copy Image. Go back and I'm going to
press Command V to press, to paste the image. I want your place, this image. So let's see. I want to ungroup this to leave this element
going to command X, command V to put over Peggy, I'm going to delete this
image in this text. Here you go, Let's put it back. I'm going to press here
and say Move to back. In the back of everything. Let's do this. Here we go. Put the nice pattern over it. I'm happy with this. Make this a little bigger with, let's also move this back. Move backward. So it's not over any of the other elements
but just Peggy. Sound going. So I'm going to
leave all of these. So I'm going to leave all
these musician names. I'm going to leave the date, the location, and where
people can buy tickets from. I'm just going to generate an
image using Text to image. Let's create a park background and see what it comes up with. So this is actually
what I want it. So let's imagine this
is the web Lee Park, and let's put this to the back. Let's delete this
purple background. By ungrouping. Move the pattern,
just delete this. Put back the pattern, crop the image a little bit, just so it's not over
the park, not too much. Let's actually put
this to the back. Let's put back the
pattern here as well. Center this here, the
pattern is perfect. Right here. That's fine. Here we go. We have our posterior
using Text to image generation and templates. So thank you for joining
me in this course, and I really hope
you enjoyed it.
