Teaching design in my passion because in my early years as a designer I always wanted quick and easily tutorials through which I could learn design but there was no platform like Skillshare in that time. So, I took on the challenge to teach design with short and to-the-point tutorials here on Skillshare.

In terms of Design, I have been employee, employer, a failed business owner and now a successful teacher. Basically I have been in all the positions and I know exactly the problems people face in terms of design.

I'm located in Pakistan where there isn't value of design. So, I took on the challenge to educate the local audience but then ended up having thousands of students from all over the work.

Download Project Files: Hi guys. I hope you are doing great. So I thought before you start the course, I will tell you how to download project files. It is very simple, but a lot of you guys tend to skip this because you don't read what is written over here. But no problem there. That is a reason I thought I would make a video on this. So if you click on Projects and Resources over here or about, you will see the first line as kinda download the project files. So you can simply click on this or come over here and click on this. And it will take to you a page where you can download your project files for this specific course. And this file will not only have the source, source files of all the projects over here, but also the source files of all the tutorials in this clause. So yeah, you will be able to have all the resources and you will be able to follow along as I do all the tutorials. And while we're over here, I thought I would also tell you how to submit your projects on Skillshare. Because the disc is really important and I stress on this a lot. It is important and it's really important that you do all the projects and submit them to me so that I could give you feedback. Because if you don't do the projects and if you only watch the videos, you will learn everything. But two will eventually start to forget it. And the best way to make sure that you keep on remembering it. You do the projects. And not only these projects, but even after when you are done watching the course as you practice all of this again and again and again, you will definitely become a master of everything, at least Illustrator, okay, so how to submit your projects? You simply have to come over here and click on Project, Create, Project. And over here you will click on Project Titan and add a title and upload an image and click on Publish. And this way you will be able to share your files with me. And as you can see over here, a lot of other people have shared their projects as well. And by that I just sorry, just started up. So yeah, this is how you can share your projects with me and download portrait files. I thought I would make a quick would you own this as well? So I'll see you guys in the class. 3. Getting Started With Illustrator: Hello everyone. Welcome to Adobe Illustrator beginners course. And in this class I'm going to give you the basic introduction of Adobe Illustrator. So when you will open less data for the first time, this is the interface you will see. Don't worry, you don't have to know about everything. We will go over everything step-by-step. The first of all, like every other design program in the world, you have to create a file to work on it. So to create a new file, you will go up over here on the left top where it says file, and then click on new. There is also a Schottky for it, which is Control or Command N. Just click on it. And this panel will pop up for you. All of these would be empty. There were only one maybe. Since I've been using Illustrator for a long time. That is why I have a lot of pieces over here. Adobe has already made a lot of research for us. We can just click them and choose them. But that is more advanced. Four, No, I will simply click on the Recent. And here are some options that you could create a file in terms of point pixel, inches, feet, and so on. So I was let pixels. And the width and height, basically they are called the dimensions of a file. So I will set them to 1920. And height would be then AT basically these are the dimensions of a YouTube thumbnail. And this is the most commonly use file size for a screen. After setting the width and the height, I will screw or loner Little, heed the settings as same and click on Create. So Photoshop is open a new file for amino. There is one more thing for you. All of this would be different. So now I have a file over here, which I can do is to create a YouTube thumbnail. Similarly, I can go to file again, just click over here. And for the dimensions I can select 1000 by 1000, then just click on Create. And basically these are the dimensions of an Instagram post. So basically we have two files or documents over here, one for the Youtube and one for Instagram. And if you want to close one of them, we will simply go over here and click on this crossover here. So dat file or document has been closed. So the interface you are seeing over here that might be different for you. It's because since I've been using less data for a long time, there are tools and panels which I have adjusted according to my need. But let me reset it for you so that you could follow along easily. We will simply go over here, click on window, workspace, and over here just click on essentials. So basically all the panels are gone now, before teaching U-boat panels and tools, let me tell you what they are actually. Let me bring it to the middle. I will teach you about this later on to so basically at the left side and there are tools, you might be seeing them in this form like this. So if you wanted to see them in this form, all you have to do is simply click on the arrow over here. And then you will be able to see them in just one rule. At the left side, all of these are called tools. And at the right side, these are called Panels. Basically with the help of the panel we make or do things. And the panels have all the properties of those tools. Let me give you an example. So if I click on any of the tools like this one, you will see something changed over here. Basically every tool has a property, but this is the Properties panel. So if I click on any of the tools, you will see that properties are changing over here. So I can click on this one or maybe this one. And you can see the properties of all these tools are changing. In the older version of Illustrator, there was also a bar over here. So if you want to turn it on, all you have to do is go up to window. I click on control. But this is basically called a control panel. The control panel is basically same as the Properties panel just up over here. So I like to keep it on because it makes work much easier. So I would suggest that you do it. You can click on any independence and drag and drop it over here. So dad panel has been detached from the group. There is also a Layers panel. We will come back to it later on. We can also drag and drop it over here. Or we could also drag and bring it to the bottom and it will get snapped over here. You see that blue line over here. Simply drop it over here. And the panel has been snapped over here. So we can even make it bigger or smaller. We can bring back the Properties panel. Or you can also bring it over here and snap it to the side. So I have these panels over here, and the Properties panel is over here. So basically every designer rearrange these panels according to his or her needs. But since you guys are learning, I would recommend you guys to keep them the same way I have them. So they do could follow along easily. You could also close the panels, right? I can right-click on it and close. But debt panel has been gone now. So what can I do now? So all I have to do is just go to window again and oil dependence or over here. So I have to find the properties panel over here. So I will scroll down and find the Properties panel. Here it is, simply click on it and it is back over here. So as you can see that there are a lot of panels in Illustrator. So you can select any of them, for example, the gradient panel. So it is over here now. I can also group it with Properties panel or maybe with libraries. If I want to close it, I were simply right-click it and close. And if I wanted to bring it back, I will go to window again and then click on gradient in Palestine. But let me remove it for now. I will bring back the Properties panel over here, closer libraries. And we will start with this properties and layers. Because these are the two important words which you need to know right now. To make sure all of the settings are saved. I will go to Window Workspace and click on new workspace. Let's bring it over here. And I will rename it. Let's call it illustrator basics. And hit OK or press Enter on the keyboard. And in case you mess something up, you can always go to Window, Workspace and click on essentials. So our tools and panels are set and our workspace is saved and we are ready to work on illustrator. So I will see you guys in the next class. 4. How To Use Project Files: Welcome back guys, and I hope that you're ready to learn illustrator. But before we actually start to learn anything, let me tell you about the project files. Let me minimize this. So over here I have the project files folder, an intermediate file. You will see this file illustrator beginners costal Hubbard t. That is my name. You will get it in the form of zip file. When you will unzip it, you will get this file. Simply double-click on it. And over here you will see the project files of all the classes in this course. So in the next class we are going to learn about shapes. You can simply double-click on it and open up this file. And that way you will be able to follow along with I highly recommended to also practice all their tutorials nor just wash them. Of course, direct way you will actually remember what you have learned. So in the next class we are going to learn about shapes and their properties. But I hope to see you in it. 5. How To Make Basic Shapes In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So in this tutorial, we are going to learn about shapes. So I have this basic shifts over here. Let's learn how to make them to lead them first. Orbit, let me tell you how you can delete stuff. So if you want to lead anything, you can simply select it, just click on it, and press delete key on the keyboard. And also if you want to undo it, simply press Control or Command Z on the keyboard, and we simply unshaded. So again, if you want to delete it, simply press delete key on the keyboard. I can simply select this one and press delete key. That is another way you can do it. You can simply go to layers, open up the layers. But they are all the shifts over here. You can see that triangle, the Circle in the Square. Whenever sled the triangle, you will see that there is a circle over it. This one. That means I have selected this triangle. So I will simply click on it. And over here you can see your trash can or you can simply click and drag it and drop it over here. There's press control do to bring it back. Or you could also just simply click on it and click on this trash can overhear and read Lear has been deleted. And if I wanted to bring all of the changes back, I would press Control Z again and again, Control or Command Z. And they are all back. So I will delete them all for now. And let's make them from the start. So if you want to create shapes, there is a shared pool over here. I will go to the tools over here. And it is this rectangle tool. If I right-click on it, there are more tools over here and the star tool, polygon tool, Ellipse tool. But let me just click on rectangle. And let's create a simple shape over here. I am creating a rectangle over here. And as I have told you before, whenever do selector tool, you can see its properties over here. Similarly, you can also see the properties at the door. So since I created a rectangle over here, I can see all of its properties over here. So you don't only see the properties of the tools, you also see the properties of the objects over here. And similarly over here. Over here it is telling me the exact width and height of this rectangle. But we will get back to them later on. But there is one thing which every shape hairs and there is a fill and a stroke vertex men by a field or a stroke. So I created a rectangle over here, and as you can see that it is filled with black. A stroke is basically the line outside their cheap. So if I go over here and click on stroke, and let's just say I select this color, red. That did it, a stroke applied on it. I cannot see it because it is very thin. So to increase its width, I will simply click over here on this arrow. And as you can see that I'm increasing, it's weird. But this shear basically has a black filled and the red Stroke. You could also see the fill and the stroke award here. But this is the fill and ten stroke is the outside lane two, it is empty from inside. So this is the stroke. You could also change their cholesterol here. If I want to change the color of the fill, I will simply double-click on it and it will open up color, picker, alert, slept and lender color. I will select this blue over here and click on, Okay, so the color had been changed. Similarly, I can double-click on the red and let's make it pink. Okay? So it is a blue fill and pink stroke. But what if I want to invert these colors, like make the fill and the stroke blue. So if I come at the bottom left over here, you can see this double arrow over here. If I click on it, you will see the fill and the stroke has been inverted. Did is also a short key for it. You can simply press Shift and x on the keyboard, Shift plus x and the color and the Phil Libin inverted over here. So this is a rectangle. What if I want to make a square? I will simply select the rectangle do logo here. And I will start making a square root over here. But I don't have to eyeball it. If I want to make anything in our proportion, I was simply press shift on the keyboard. While holding Shift, I will make my sheep. And that way it will be created in a proper proportion. So I have a square root over here now, and this is a rectangle. And if I want to move any of the shapes, I will simply click on it and just move it over here so I can move them like this. Let us delete them. How can we delete them by simply pressing the Delete key there to go to the shifts again and select the ellipse tool. So if you've ever studied physics, you would note that our circle is actually an ellipse. And you don't read shape is basically coordinate ellipse. So this is an oval and overlies an ellipse, or maybe this shape or this shape. These are all ellipses to a circle is also an ellipse, but with proper proportion. Let me undo this. And while pressing shift on the keyboard, I will make an ellipse over here, basically a circle. Let's move it to the side, but I cannot move it. If I have thus shaped blue selected. If I try to move it, it will make another shape over here. To over here you will have to slit the selection tool. This is the first one. And now I can move my shapes or I can select them together. And President allude you to read them. But basically you get the idea. I can select any shaped will award here. And I can create a ship like this. So this is basically a hexagon having six aids, symptoms lifted. The polygon tool, I can get a share with as many edges as they want. So do be able to increase the edges. All you've to do is simply select the polygon tool, leadership. And while creating a shape, you can press the up arrow key to add edges and down arrow key to remove edges. So r squared is also a polygon. Similarly, our triangle is also a polygon. Similarly did is also A-star tool. I can simply create a star over here. But these were the basics of shifts English tutor. I hope it was easy for you guys. I will see you guys in the next class. 6. Selection In Adobe Illustrator: And all the i's. So now we are going to learn about the selection tool in Illustrator. And while doing so, we will also learn how to make this honeycomb. So let's make it from the start. I will simply select it and just press delete key on the keyboard. So I have my tools over here. Again, if you want to see them in this form, simply click over here to toggle them on and off. For the rest of the course, I will keep the tooth like this or did you won't get confused. So where does the ship too low? So in the last tutorial, the last thing I made was a star. That is why it has been changed to a star. So I will have to right click on it again and click on the Rectangle tool to bring it back. So in case you were ever launched in, can find any tools. I simply click on these tools and you will be able to find the tool you want. Overhead, I will right-click on it and click on the polygon tool because we want to create a hexagon. So a honeycomb is basically a bunch of hexagons. So I'll left click over here and drag to make hexagon. So last name when we created a hexagon, we created our triangle through it. But to make a hexagon, I will have to press the up key three more times. And now I have this hexagon over here. And to make it properly aligned, I will press Shift. So it is properly aligned over a year now. So in this tutorial, we are going to basically learn about the selection tool. Because selection is a very important thing in Illustrator. It is not as important in Photoshop, but in Illustrator we do most other things using the selection tool. So as I have told you before, I could read a shape over here and if I want to move it, I cannot move it with the ship dual because it will create another shape. Let's press Control or Command Z to undo it. And over here is the ship tool. And the short before it is V, I will simply click on it. So I had this shaped to lower here, the black arrow. There is also another selection tool, but we will discuss it later on. If I click on it, it is basically a white arrow. So make sure that you have selected the black arrow. And if I want to move it, I will click on it and drag it. But there is a lot more you can do with it. There's press Control or Command Z to bring it back to basically everything you do and illustrated it is a move. If I move it over here. So this is one step. If I press Control or Command Z, I will undo this step. If I click on it and make it bigger or smaller, but this is a step. And if I wanted to bring it back, I will press Control or Command Z to undo it. Ok, so back to the selection tool. As I was telling you, you can select things, you can move it. You could increase or decrease the size. If I want to decrease the size, I will simply click over here. If I move the cursor over here, you will see that it has been changed over, click over here and drag. It is getting smaller, but I want to make it small enough proper proportion to I will press Shift while doing so. It is getting smaller now, but in appropriate proportion. I can also rotate it. So if I move my cursor over here near the edge, you can see the cursor changing. So now I can click and rotate it. And again, if I want to bring it back to the original position, I will simply press Control or Command Z. It is bad to the original position. Now. Okay, so what if I wanted to duplicate this? I won't go through the Shape tool again, select the polygon tool and create another one over here. It will take so much time and it won't be accurate either. Like I will be making different sizes and there will be gaps between them. Let me show you a better way to do this. I will select the selection tool again, or press simply V on the keyboard. Let's let both of them and press delete key on the keyboard. I will select this one. And if I wanted to duplicate it, I will simply press Alt or option on the keyboard. And as you can see that the cursor has been changed. There is a double cursor over here. Now if I click on it and drag it, you will see that this is getting copied. So now I have a copy over here. Let's create another copy while pressing older option, just drag it. But as you can see that it is going here and there. To make sure that I created in a straight line, I will press Shift while doing so. So now I can move it anywhere I want and it will be copied in a straight line. But this is also not very efficient. I will have to do this again and again every time I want to make a copy. And there is a possibility that there are not proper gaps in between them. So let's select all of them. Let's delete, so they are gone. So let me show you what we can do. I will simply select it, press Alt or Option to copy it once. Since now have done it one time. I can do it multiple times by pressing Control or Command D on the keyboard. D4 donkey. So I will press Control or Command B, and it will do the same step over and over again. Let me repeat that again. I simply copied it ones. But this is one step. And if I want to repeat that step, I will press Control or Command D on the keyboard. And it has been repeated. Well, let's let them and make them smaller so that they are entered the canvas. And now I can also duplicate the whole thing. I will simply press Alt or Option on the keyboard and simply click and drag it. And now I have a copy of all of these. But let's put it over here. Like so. As you can see that this is becoming a start of a honeycomb nano. What if I want to copy all of this? Throughout this canvas? I will select all of this. Press Alt or Option on the keyboard. Simply click, left click and drag. And just leave it over here. Since I've done it one time, I can do it multiple times. I will press Control or Command D on the keyboard, and it is being copied multiple times. Symbol was dead. I will select the selection tool again. And if I want to leave any selection, I will simply click over here. So this part is basically outside the frame. So how can I see that? I will simply pest control or command minus on the keyboard. But this is the Remote Control or Command Minus. And you can zoom into them, Control or Command Plus controller command magnitudes, remote control and command plus to zoom in. But let's let all of this and make it smaller so that everything is inside the canvas. Elected again, and put it over here. So what if I want to select specific polygons over here? Let's just say I want to select this one and then this one. So how do I select them both? So after selecting this one, I will press Shift and click on this one. So as you can see that there is a rectangle around them. That means I have selected both of them. And while pressing Shift I will click over here. And not this has also been selected. And you can also see a blue line along them. But that means they are selected. But I can select this one, this one, this one. And let's just say I want to invert their stroke over, simply click over here again. And as you can see, that they're Phil has been inverted. So diddy a stroke has been inverted to fill. Similarly, if I want to delete any specific polygons, I was like this one and this one, maybe this one. And after slipped him them, I will press delete key on the keyboard and they are all deleted. This was actually a really simple tutorial, but are very important one because you have to know how to use the selection tool propylene illustrated. In the next tutorial, we are going to learn about colors and Swatches. So I will see you guys in debt one. 7. Colors & Swatches In Adobe Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn how to use colors nth watches in Illustrator. So in the previous tutorial, we learn how to use the selection tool and also learn how to make this honeycomb. But it's all black and white. Let's make it colorful. They'll have to allude this before. If you want do th colour of anything. Let's just say I want to change the fill of this polygon. I will double-click on the field, changes scholar who would read maybe and hit OK. So as we are dealing with colors now, you can see a color panel over here. It automatically opened when I change the color of this hexagon. To make sure it is always available to us, I can simply drag and robert over here. I can also right click on it and collapse two icons for this panel is now available to us over here. So Bag blue colors. So again, if I want to change the color of these, I can simply select them. Double-click on the fill, sorry, the stroke. And let's change it to read it again and hit okay. So they are all red. No. But let's press Control Z for now to undo all of this unless change killer of all of these. So I will select all of them. But there are custom marks over here. Why is it so? Well? Because I have selected some shapes which are filled and some have strokes. That is why it doesn't know what I want to do. But let's just see if I double-click on the film and I change its color to maybe read, then hit ok. So all the shifts are filled with red now. And the shift which already had fill their colored, it also changed a little, but they are only filled. I can also apply a stroke on them. So I will click on this shape to see what is the stroke size, which is ten. So I will select all of these shapes. Then select the color black over here for the stroke. And now I will change the stroke to ten points, but they also have a stroke null. So let's talk about the colors and the swatches panel. So this is the colour panel. Let us go to the window and come down over here. And here is the swatches panel. I will group it with the colour panel and close the rest. So what is the difference between the color and the swatches? Because they both have colors in them. So what is the difference between them? While using the color panel, you can select a shape and maybe change its color. These over here. If it you can change, you can even select the color form here. But the swatches panel is basically a selection of colors or swatch. You can see that there is a swatch over here. So our swatch is basically a collection of colors. But let's just say I made this green. I will change this one to maybe pink. And this one too, I guess blue. And maybe these are the three colors which I won't do use the most. So I can turn them into a swatch. First, I will create a folder over you. Simply click on it. New color group. Simply hit OK. You can also rename it. Then ever said this color. Click on the group. I click on plus icon, new swatch and hit okay. Similarly, I can click on this color. Select the group plus, okay. And same with this one. So basically now I have a group over here. And now I can refer to them anytime I won't. I will simply select on maybe these two colors, maybe these three polygons. And click on this pink. And the color has been changed. Similarly with these, or maybe these. So this is the difference between colors and Swatches. But all of this looks really weird. So let's make it a proper honeycomb. I will select all of this. Let's change the color of the field to something orange. Then I will double-click on the stroke. And let's change it to yellow and hit OK. So this is a proper honeycomb. No. You can also invert the colors. I will select all of them. I will click on this double arrow over here or press Shift X1, the keyboard, if x, when were the colors. So we have this honeycomb over here now. So this is how you can use colored dense watches in Illustrator. See you guys in the next tutorial. 8. Basic Drawing Using Shapes In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. And just now we are going to implement everything which we have learned so far. We have learned about shapes and colors for now and now we are going to implement them to make this little frog. And don't worry, it is going to be super easy. Let me do more first by pressing control or command minus. And then I will move this over here. Let me press Control or Command D rho to zoom in. And as you can see that I have already made this frog over here. You will see that DID is a log layer over here. Whenever I laid his logged, you cannot move things. Like if I unlock it, I will be able to move these. So let me lock it again. Basically we are going to use all of this as a reference and make sure that you click on this layer to work. You won't be able to work on this layer. Well, let's first come over here and select the ellipse tool. So first I will make a circle over here. Because if there is a problem over here and the problem is dead, I cannot see behind it. Well there too, because it's file's byte. So first I will click on it and remove the Phil. Let me impeded stroke too. So I will come over here and increase the stroke. So it is more visible now. Well, let me put this over here. And I will increase its size to mesh this circle. You can also use the arrow keys on the keyboard to match it. And I guess this is all right. After that I will go to elifs tool again, or I can simply copy this circle. I would click on it. Whereas older option and drag it. You make a copy of it and then simply resize it while pressing Shift. That way it will stay in proportion to I will bring this over here. Let's zoom in on it. And by pressing Control or Command plus. Let's put this over here. Like so. And then I will copy this using older option. After that, I will copy this. And let's make it smaller and invert the stroke and the fill. By doing so, we can create this eye. Let me make this smaller. And I guess this is all right. Well, let's copy this over here to let me zoom out. So we are left with this and this part, which is basically it's Billy. Over here. I will select the ellipse tool again. And let's make a circle over here. This time I'm not pressing Shift. That way I can make an ellipse of any shape I want. So we have to make this overall over here. Let me invert the stroke and the fill. And let's make it four points to go. Click on it and simply heresies it. We have to decide as a Chrome here too. And I guess this is alright. But we are left with this smile over here. Those like delivery tool. Let's clear this smiled and simply resize it. And I guess this is alright. Let me zoom in a little. Let's bring this down and bring this up. And while we're here, let's fix this too. So I guess this is properly aligned, but this mile is not exactly the way we wanted. Let me zoom out. And if I move it over here, you will see that this part is missing. So how you can make a proper smile like this? Well, it's easy. Let me press Control or Command Z. To bring this bag. Basically, after that, I will come over here, click on the Rectangle tool and simply create a rectangle over here, like so. And simply turn its color do white. Basically, I am turning the field White and hit OK. And remove the upstroke. Let me zoom in a little. And if I move it a little, you will see that this has to be over here. So I will move it over here. And over here. Basically this is acting like an invisible ship. And now we have debt smile. So let me zoom out a little. But basically now we just have to color it. So I will select all of this. When not all of this, I will select the ice and this part and the body. And we'll double-click over here. And let's let green. So everything is green. Now, I will select the belly part and let's make it yellow and hit OK. So we are done coloring our frog. And how easy was it to basically, you can make all kinds of thing using simple shifts in Illustrator. I hope this was fun for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 9. How To Draw With Shape Builder Tool In Adobe Illustrator: Hello everyone. So now we're going to learn one of the most important shared easiest tools in Illustrator and dad is the ship builder tool. So I have this shape over here, which is actually a puzzle piece. So let me show you how I made it. Let me just select it and deleted by pressing delete key. The first I will go over here and select the Rectangle tool. And let's create a square root over here. So to create a square, keep pressing shift so that it will be created in a proportion. After that, I will select the ellipse tool. And let's create a circle over here. Over here. Let's change its color. So there we would have a proper contrast. Make it a little smaller. And let's place it on the sides of our square. So where does this ship builder to actually do? Well, I will select all of this. And over here I will select the shape builder tool. It short key is Shift M. So I will simply click on it. So now if I hover over these shapes, you will see that you can see the intersecting points. Like all of this is one chip, and similarly this is one chip and so on. So let us just say I click on this part, simply clicked on it. Now if I move it, you will see that this part has been cut out from all of this. So this is a separate part. And this is separate because this was the intersecting point for both of them. Similarly, I can select all of this, like the shape will rule again. And if I click and drag across over here, this whole part, including the square, has been combined and we have plateaued over here. And similarly, if I select all of these, click the ship builder tool and start dragging from the middle end over here. All of this is combined. Now, let's combine all of this too, and all of this. So we can separate this. And we now have a puzzle piece over here. We can select it. It has a shape. We can also apply a fill on it. So let's change its color to pink. We can even apply a fill on it. Let's make it blue. So basically you can apply fill and stroke on any shape in Illustrator. So coming back to the shareholder tool, let's take another example. Let me delete all of this. So I will select the ellipse tool. Let's create a circle over here. You have to go with simple colors, black and without autofill. So if I copy this over here, they're just change your scholar to this. And if I sled what of them and select the ship builder tool, you can see that we can separate this part or this part, or we can even take out this part. Let me click over here. And now this part is separately form these two. So this ship will reduce is very fun and easy to use. And it is probably one of the most important and powerful tools in Illustrator. I hope this was fun. See you guys in the next class. 10. How To Color With Shape Builder Tool In Adobe Illustrator: Hello guys. So in the last tutorial, we learned how to use the ship builder tool. But in this one we are going to learn how you can use the shape builder tool to color your shapes. So as you can see that I had three circles over here, and I'm going to add them during the shape will reduce. Let me show you how you can do it to lets through more than it'll by pressing control or command minus. And let me just put it over here and told to come back to the canvas. So I will select the ellipse tool over here. And let's make a couple of circles over here. So I will make a red one. Let me just copy it like this and then copy it over here. So basically red, yellow, and blue are the three primary colors. So I already have read. I will turn this one to blue and this one to yellow. So now ever slept all of this slept the shape builder tool. After Daredevil, click on the color panel. And now I will simply select the color I want. The, we know that blue and yellow makes green. So I misled green over here and simply click over here. Similarly, red and blue makes purple. So I overslept purple overhead and simply click over here. And I guess red and yellow makes orange. Or select orange and click over here. And all of these makes indigo. So I guess this is something like Indigo. And just click over here. By simply setting the color and clicking over the object using the shareholder tool. You can also color it. Simple. But basically this is how you can call it anything using the ship builder dual. See you guys in the next class. 11. Draw An Animal With Shape Builder Tool: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make this minimal yet very cool looking fish in Illustrator. So over simply select it and press did lead Q2 diluted and dislike. Therefore AKI tutorial, I have already made the outline of my fish. So if I go to the Layers panel, so here is my reference image, and I am going to draw the fish on top of it. The first I will select the ellipse tool. And let's create a circle over here in a circle and just tried to align it on the fish like this a little bit over here. You can also use the arrow keys to adjust it. And now we will simply copy it by pressing oiled or option. I will put it over here and bring it up a little. Let's copy it again and covert this part. Basically we are making the whole body like so. And it doesn't have to be perfect. Because the image below is just a guide for us. Let's copy it again and put it over here. So I will select all of this and select the shape will reduce. If you already know, if we click on apart, it will get separated from the rest of the image. But there is one more thing you could do with the shape will return if you want to remove any part of the image. But you can do is simply press on the keyboard. Let's just say I want to remove this part. And you can see that there is a minus with the arrow. Now, if I click over here or click and drag, you will see that this part is removed null. Though I don't want all of this. I will simply drag it along. And all of this part has been removed. Similarly over here. And over here, this was the body of my fish. So I will combine all of this while not pressing order option. So the body of our fish is ready. Let me select the ellipse tool again. And now we will cover these parts. And the fin. Dollars, make another circle and put it over here. Resize it a little. I guess this is alright. Now copy it and resize it again. And I guess this is alright. Let's do modal. It'll copy it and place it over here. Let's copy it again and place it over here. We also need to discover this part server. Simply drag and copy it and simply place it over here. I know there are a lot of circles and it looks a little confusing. But you only have to follow these lanes. Overslept all of this. Like the shareholder tool. But this is the fin of my fish that were simply click over here. And this is the body of the fish in blue click over here. And all of this is the extra part. So I will press art and drag along all of this. The all of that part has been removed. All of this is also an extra simply plus order option and remove this. And all of this is also extra. Let's zoom in a little. There are some very small extra part two order option and remove them. And all of this is the same. The simply combine them. We need to remove this small B2. Let's zoom in and simply combine all of this. And I guess this is all right plus oiled and just drag to remove it for my in this too. And I guess our fish is ready. But there are some extra small parts which we have to remove. This one. So we can simply click on it and drag it. And they are gone. And when early, I guess there are a few over here. And click, click and drag them. And they are gone. Here are fishes ready? There's Click on it and move it up a little so that we don't get confused. Let me just turn this one off. The basically we have separate shifts over here now and we can color them individually, like this one and this one. So I will select this part and double-click on it and maybe select this blue. Are darker blue for this one. Let's select like something link see green for this. And some actual green. Maybe teal for this one. Simple. And I guess all of this will look better with a stroke. Overslept all of this. Look on the stroke and simply click on none. And our fisheries ready? And how simple was dead. So basically you can clear it on with the sheer builder tool and make some amazing shapes and animals or whatever you want. I hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial. See you guys in the next one. 12. Project 1 - Draw An Animal With Shape Builder Tool: Hello guys. So who's ready for a project to make sure there to implement virtual learning? I haven't, you've written projects in this course. And trust me, if you do all of these projects, you will learn much faster than the larger total I taught you how you can make this fish using shapes and shareholder tool. So basically now you have to do the same on this image. I have already made a sketch for you. And now all you have to do is simply drawn it using shapes and convert those shifts into this bird using the ship builder tool. Don't forget to share your drawings, Whitney, I hope to see you guys in the next tutorial. 13. How To Use Layers In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to properly learn about layers in Illustrator. I know we have already covered layers a little bit. But to make sure that you understand them properly, I have made this tutorial for you. So as you can see that I have three shifts over here. This black circle, a red one and a blue one. Let's press Control Z to bring them back to their position. So why is the black circle at the very behind, then the red one is on top of it and the blue one is on top of both of them. Well, it's because of the layers. If you open up layer one over here, you will see that the blue one is at the top, the red one is behind it and the black one is behind that one. If I simply select the black one and bring it up, you will see that the black one is at the top. And that is why we are seeing dad one. So if I click over here, I will select all of them and then I can move them. So this is not the only way through which you can arrange the layers. Like I can also click on the black circle, right-click on it, and then go to arrange and send to back. So now it is at the very bottom. Let me right click on it again. Range. But there is N2 back, send backward, bring forward, and bring to front. What is the difference between all of them? Just member, dare bring do friend means that it will bring it above everything else in the Canvas. If I click on it, it is at the very top. Similarly, right-click arrange, send to back. So it is at the very back. But if I right-click on it again, arrange and bring forward. So it will only bring it up one step. So it is only above the red one. Similarly, if I want to bring the blue one at the very bottom, I will click on it, right lik a range and send to back. It is at the very back. But all of this will only work inside this layer. If I close this. And let's just say I create another layer and move all of this to the left. Let's create a couple of more shifts over here. So I will select the layer two over here, then select the ellipse tool. Let's create a circle over here. Let's copy it and change its color. Or pete again and change its color again. So we have three more shapes over here. So as you can see that this green one is at the very top. I can right-click on it a range and send to back. Now it is at the very bottom, but it will always be on top of all of this. Why? Because this is on lead to, let me show you how. If I select all of this and bring it over here, you will see dead. This is below the green one, because this whole layer is on top of this one. And if I rearrange it, and if I bring up layer one on top of layer two, you can see that everything inside layer one is on top of layer two, and also a few layers look really small. You can go over here, click on Panel Options, and click on large. And it ok. So they are a little bigger now, you can even make them further bigger by going over here, pen and options. Click on other and set the pixel size to maybe 50 and hit okay. So they are quite big now. You can see everything over here. But this was a little tutorial on how to use layers in Illustrator. I hope you guys like this. See you guys in the next tutorial. 14. How To Align Things In Illustrator: Hello everyone. So today we are going to learn how to align things in Illustrator. Ok, so as you can see that I have four circles over here. And I basically wanted to align them. But to be able to align them, I will first bring in the elaine panel. To do so, I will go to Window. And over here I will click on the aligned Benner. So I have a couple of panels over here now. I will separate the elaine penalty from them in disclosed the rest. The Align panel over here. I can also right click on it and collapse to ICANN. And also bringing it in like this. This way I will have the elaine pennant over here and it is also not taking a lot of space. Okay, so if I select all of these shapes over here, using the Align panel Eigen basically align them horizontally or vertically. Let's start with horizontal and vertical alignment. So if I click on Vertical Alliance center, you will see that all the circles that are aligned vertically and that is according to their centers. Let's press Control D to bring them back to their position. Okay, but if I want to align them horizontally, so here is the horizontal align center. If I click on it, you will see that they are all aligned horizontally. I will undo it. Alerts you bring this one over here, this one here, and this one over here. So a select all of them and click on horizontal line. So basically you get the idea. Similarly, I can click on Horizontal Align Left, but nothing is happening. Why? So for that, let me introduce another circle over here. I will bring this one over here, and let's remove this one. So now if I select all of them and click on Horizontal Align center. So they are aligned according to the air enters. And if I click on Horizontal Align Left. Now you'll get the idea there being aligned according to their left boundaries. And similarly on the right. Similarly, I can do them vertically. Let's put them like this. Now if I select all of them, vertical center, vertical top, and vertical boredom. And if you look over here it says align objects. And at the bottom it says distributed objects. The vertices are different between them. So as we have already seen, clicking on any of the elaine objet options, it aligns them but distribute basically adjust the space between all the objects. Will let me introduce this one back over here. Let's just say this one is over here and this one is over here. And like this. And if I slept all of them and align them. But you can see that the gap between them are not proper. So if I click on the horizontal distribute option, you will see that they will get distributed horizontally. But the gap between them is proper now. And they are being distributed according to their centers. You can want to distribute them according to their tops, bottoms left or right. But I think that is a little advanced for null. We will end editorial with align objects and horizontal and vertical distribute with centers. I hope you guys understood the idea. See you guys in the next tutorial. 15. How To Make Gradients In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn about gradients in Illustrator. So in one of the previous tutorials, we learned how to make this minimal fish. Let me zoom out a little. This was the fish females. But in this tutorial we're going to learn how to apply gradients. Let me zoom in. If you don't remember, if you want to zoom in into the Canvas, just press Control or Command on the keyboard. So I will delete this for now and nurse learn about gradients. You can basically apply a gradient on anything. It could be a shape or even untouched. But let's start with the shape. I will go over here and select one of the shapes. Let's let an ellipse, and let's create a circle over here. So I've told this to you before. By default, every shape has a fill, an upstroke, but let's apply a fill on it. But if you go at the bottom over here, you will see none filled. And a gradient. Instead of a color, I can apply a gradient on it. Let's click on this. You can see that it has applied a wide to black gradient on the circle. If you don't know where that gradient is, Gideon is basically a blend between two colors. But let me make it more clear for you. When we applied the gradient on this shape, a gradient panel automatically popped up over here. Let's click and drag it over here. Now if you click on it, you will see all the gradient Panel Options. So firstly, misled the type of the gradient. So in simple, there are basically three types of gradients, linear, radial and free form. For now we will only cover linear and radial. So as I have told you before, our gradient is basically a blend between two colors. Two basically we have a right over here and a black. If I want to change the color of this fight over here, I will double-click on it and Swatches will open up Eigen select read from here. So now we basically have a red to black gradient. I can also double-click on black. And let's let maybe orange. So this is a red to orange gradient. Then we can understand the direction of the gradient. So basically this is from left to right. And over here we also have a Gradient tool. So if I click on it, you will see that it is showing me the actual gradient over here. I can also click over here and drag. And I can adjust the gradient accordingly. So basically I'm adjusting the direction of it. And over here from the middle, I can adjust which color I want more. So now we're getting more of orange. So this is same as this one. So I can adjust it from here too. I will bring in the red. So basically this is a linear gradient because it is in a single line. That is also an option for a radial gradient. If I click over here on the radial gradient, you will see that it is starting from the middle. So if I move the slider over here, you will see that we have more of red over here. Now. Let me just delete it and we will learn it with an example. Let's zoom out again. And I will simply bringing this fish over here. First Control or Command euro to zoom in into the Canvas. So let's apply gradient on this. Now. Let's start from here. And I will click on the linear gradient. Let me press Control Z to undo it. And first let's make a copy of all of this. Overstepped, all of this, press Alt, and then drag to make a copy of it. And let's put a copy over here so that we could refer its colors. So now I will click over here. Click on the gradient. So only negligent from white to black has been applied over here. And if I want to change the color of white one, I will click over here. Click on the color picker, and click over here. To our gradient from this color to black has been applied over here. Similarly, I can apply gradient on all of these shapes. So I will click over here, apply a gradient on it. And I will copy color form this one. And do the same for the rest of them. Liked ingredient multicolored and copy this color. And similarly with the last one. Now we can also let their directions. So I will select this one, click on the gradient panel and never click from top to bottom. Like so. Similarly for this one, I will click on the gradient panel and apply a gradient like this. So I guess this looks fine. Basically, this is how you can apply a gradient on anything. You can also apply gradient on text, but we will cover it later in the course. So I hope this was easy for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 16. How To Write Text In Adobe Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn how to write text in Illustrator. So as you can see that I have some text over here and let me show you how I wrote it. Let me just select all of this and press delete key to delete it. After that, I will go to the tools over here. And over here you will see this t. It's called the Type Tool. I will click on it. And if I click anywhere, you will see some text over here. But it is very small right now. Whenever you write some text, you will see the properties panel changing. So over here we have a lot of options. And in the Character panel, you can change your size from here. So if I click on this arrow, you will see the size is increasing. I can click and hold to make it very big. So right now the font I have is called Myriad Pro. It is basically the default font for all Adobe products. So I can change the font. If I click on this arrow over here, you will see a dropdown. So from here I can select different phones. You can even write the name of the font over here. So there is a form which I really like. It's called bison. So I will simply click over here, backspace it. And right by sin. Let's click on bison regular. So I have this bond over here now. I can increase its size from over here. Like so what I can even just simply dragon make it bigger like this. Basically Harvey were making shapes are bigger and smaller. I really like this font, but I wanted to be a little bolder. I was simply click on it. Before clicking I press T. T is for type tool. So if you simply click on it, you will select it and you can move it. And if you want to change it, first you have to select the Type tool and then click on it. You will see this cursor. So I can select all of this. And then if I go back to the character panel, you will see some other options over here. And if I click on this drop-down, you will see different variations of this phone. So I want to select the bold one. And now if I want to change it, I will simply click anywhere where we select all of this again and write something else. But let's write Happy Birthday. Formal. Gamal is basically the name of my wife. So let's select all of this and move it over here. We can even make it bigger like this inverter. If you want to change its color, we can simply click on it. Like to read, or maybe white. And just like any shape, you can see that every text also has a fill and a stroke. If I click on this arrow, you will see that Phil has become the stroke. And I can increase it stroke. To get this outline kind of effect. Let's invert it for now. If I wanted to write a whole paragraph, I will select the textual again. It's actually called the Type Tool. I call it the text tool. So select the Type tool. And all you have to do is just click and drag to make a box. So I will make a box over here. And as you can see, that box has been filled with text. Let me change its font. Let's set it to lotto. It is also a very good font. And let's make it smaller because we're not using it for a heading. Well, I guess this is alright. And if I want to copy this text, I can simply select all of these press Control or Command Z on the keyboard. Let's give some space. First Control or Command V and R. We have a copy of eta, e precede Control-V to make more copies. And if you want to change its color, simply go over here and select the color. Ok there it's not right. If you want to change color, if anything, first you have to select the text. I will click on it, then press Control or Command a two slit it oil. Then go over here and change the color to the color is changed, no. Okay. There are also some alignment options. Let me show you how you can align text. So as you can see that this text is currently left aligned. But if I want to center line it or right align it, I will first select the Type tool, or I can press T on the keyboard, T4 Tiger. After data, we click on it. And as you can see that there are some options over here. And similarly, those options out over here to you currently, you can see that all of my text is left in line. If I wanted to write a line it, I will click on this one. Okay, this only work for this one. Left align all of the text. You will have to select all of it. So I will press Control or Command Z first, you undo it. Then I will select all of this using control or command a. Now if I click on it, all of this has been right-aligned, sorry, left aligned. Similarly, I can select all of this again. Click over here. So all of this is middle Elaine, no center aligned. And basically this is how you can align text in Illustrator. And basically these were the alignment options. There are a lot of other options over here, but for now I think you don't need to know about all of them. Since this is a beginner scores, you just need to know about the basics. And trust me, even with just these options, you can do a lot. So this is how you can write text in Illustrator. I hope you guys like this. See you guys in the next clue. 17. Make Basic Logos Using Shapes In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make this logo a basically I made this logo using some shapes, gradients, and some text over here. Let's make it from the start, I was selected and deleted. So first I will go over here and select the ellipse tool. After that, I will make a circle in the middle. Okay, so i cannot see the circle over here because the field is white and the background is also white. I can simply double-click on it. Let's let black and hit OK. So I don't need the fill, I need a stroke. I can simply click over here and invert the fill and stroke after they had ever slept the Selection tool. So that I could make it a little bigger. Because I have already told you if you want to make a copy of anything, all you've to do is press oil or option on the keyboard and then drag their chip. And all we have a copy of it. There is another way you can do it. Let me delete it. You can select it, rest Control or Command Z on the keyboard and then press Control or Command V. But what if you want to make a copy in the same place? Let me show you how I will delete it. I will select this, then press Control or Command C. And now I have a copy of it. And after that I will press Control or Command Shift. We basically I copied and pasted it in the same place. If I move this, you will see that we already have two copies. I would press Control or Command Z to bring it back. That is the undue key. And let's make it a little smaller. And while making it smaller, I will press Shift and Alt or shifted option. After that, I will make a copy of it again. First control or command c to copy it. Then press Control or Command Shift V2 paste in place. Now let's make it bigger. And while making it bigger, I will press shift. And you can see a pink line over here. This issuing debt, both of these circles are aligned. After that I will select all of them. Go to the Align panel and vertical aligned center. You can also see the Align panel options over here. Whenever you slept anything using the selection tool, the property spending basically shows the related panels. But we'll come back over here. I will select this circle, whereas older option on the keyboard and then drag it, will make a copy of it. Then select both of these circles. First controller command C to copy them. And control and command shift V2, paste them in place, and simply rotate them while pressing Shift. Then select all of this. What would the shape builder tool and simply combine all of these shapes. Let me show you how. I will start from here. And I will start combining all of these shapes until I reach over here. It's like a curve. Similarly, I will do over here. Simply combine them. So we have this shape over here. Now, let's zoom alternative. Now I will select all of this and do the copying thing again. Control C to copy, controller command C to copy and Control or Command Shift V2 patient place, and then rotate it like this. Let us do it one more time. Based Andrew data. Basically we have these worlds and all, but we have to combine them. Let zoom in by pressing Control or Command 0. Over all of this, go to the shape builder tool. And I will simply click on all of these parts. I will start from here. There's dab on them once. The basically all of these are separate shapes. Now, if I click on any one of them and move them, you will see that these are separate shapes. And now I can apply a gradient on them. I will select all of them to go to the gradient panel. And let's let this gradient, ok, so there is a problem over here. We have a circle in the middle. So I will simply select it and remove it. I guess there are a couple of them. So we will have to remove all of them. But basically all of the circles were automatically created because of the shape builder tool. So we will simply select them and delete them. Let's zoom in again, let TO shape and let's remove the stroke. So here you go. We have dared to old tape logo over here. No. Let me close these panels. You can write them down over here if you like, or leave it like this. And you can even change its color. So I will select all of this, go to the gradient tool and click on the gradient. Let's change its color. And let's make it blue. And this other one in magenta. So yeah, I guess this looks good too. And basically this is how you can make a swirl tape logo in Illustrator. I hope this was fun for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 18. Project 2 - Create A Basic Logo: Welcome back guys, and now it's time for another project. And the larger Turiel, I taught you how to make this logo. So basically now you have to make something like this. You can make something like this or maybe exactly this. That is totally up to you. You can wait to see what you guys come up with. See you guys in the next tutorial. 19. How To Draw With Curvature Tool In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn about the curvature doodle. You might have heard about the Pen tool. It is one of the most important tools in Photoshop and Illustrator. And we're going to learn that in the next tutorial. But similar to Penn dual, there is also a curvature tool which we are going to learn right now. If you go to the tools over here, you will see along with the pen tool, there is a curvature tool. And we click on it. And we will basically trace these shapes using the curvature dual. If I go to the layers over here, you will see that I have already made all of these shapes and they are on a separate layer, and I have logged data layer. Now we can simply trace it on the upper layer. How the curvature tool actually works. So if I click over here, I will put up a point. And now if I click anywhere else, you will see a line. But if I create another point, you will see that it is automatically curving. Depending upon the highs and lows, it actually determines it where the curve will go. Let me delete it. So let's put dare to practice. So I will start with this shape. First, I will place a point over here. And then I will click on the highest point of this curve. So this is the highest point. I will click over here. Right now you're just seeing a line. But when I will move this over here, you will see this converting into a complete curve. And we click over here. And now we have a proper curve. But what if I want to compute this part and the shape? If I click over here, you will see this converting into a weird shape. Let's press Control or Command Z. Instead of creating a curve, if you want to create an edge, you have to double-click on this. I will double click over here. You can see that this is an edge now, but this part is still curving. But don't worry if you've already made it, just double-click on it and it will convert into an edge. Simple. Now, let's try over here on the ship. So I will click over here that this, she basically has all the highs. There are no laws. I will click on the highest part. This is the highest part. After that, this is the highest part. Similarly, S1. I will keep on clicking on these. And as you can see that this is converting into a spiral. Similarly over here. Then over here, the highest part of all this is this one over click over here. And similarly over here. Basically I have a spiral over here now. But as you can see, that curve tool is not dead perfect. You can adjust the curves by letting them then sled the reflection tool and you can adjust these curves. But in the next tutorial, we are going to learn about the Pen tool. Which is we're more accurate. But if you want to do a quick job, both tool is your friend. So this is perfect. Now, let's make these curves are little ticker. Looks like the curve tool again. And try on this one. So I will put a point over here. Okay? So what is the highest point of all of this? This is a small little curve. Let me zoom in a little. The highest point of all of this is this part. I will click over here. After the advert is the highest point of all of this. All of this is one. So we click over here. Similarly, the highest point of this whole part is this. And after that I want to make an edge over here, so I will double-click over here. But the highest point of all of this is this part. And after that it is this part. And similarly this one. And I want to make this an edge. So I will double-click over here. Again. It is not perfect, but it basically gets the job done. You can adjust these later on with the direct selection tool. Let's do mode that the curvature tool again. And let's try on this. Basically these are all edges. So I will click over here. And if I click over here and then over here it will make a curve. Instead, I will simply double-click over here, then double-click over here, double-click, double-click, and we'll click and so on. You get the idea. I don't have to complete it, I guess. Let's end our tutorial with this one. Select the curvature tool. Basically have to click on the highest and the lowest. Let me zoom in a little. While. I will start from here. After that, I will click over here because this is the highest part. And then this is the lowest part. And this is the highest. And highest again. Then highest, then lowest. There are basically three highs and then a low. And over here, this is a low, then there is this high I, i, and then a low. And so on. All I'm doing is just clicking on these parts. And it is automatically creating a curve over here. And just like that, we have created our ship. Obviously again, this is not perfect. If I move it over here, you will see that this is not exactly same as this one. But like I told you before, curvature to it basically gets the job done. And you can then select it and go to the direct selection tool and adjust these points later on. So this was the introduction to curvature tool. I hope you guys learned a lot. You guys, in the next tutorial, we are going to learn about depend tool. 20. How To Use Pen Tool In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. And now we are going to learn about the Pen tool. Append to list basically curvature dwell on steroids. And it is basically one of the most important tools to learn in Illustrator. So in the previous tutorial, we create all of these shapes using the curvature tool. But now we're going to do the same using the pen tool. And you will know the difference. But I will go over here. And along with the curvature tool, there is the Pen tool. I will just click on it. But the Pen tool basically gives you more power and more control. Let me show you how. Well, let me zoom in a little over here. Now we click over here and similarly ever click on the highest point over here. But instead of making a curvature forming itself, it allows me to make a curve. Just like Dad I have, go over here now. And then I will come down over here. And depending upon the anchor points, it does certainly make a curve. This is the point enumerated and there is no curve. It is known that Amy may occur straight lane. So we click over here. And now if I wanted to see if my ship is preferred or not, I can simply drag it where it is not. I will click on it. Direct Selection tool, and now I can adjust this. Let's do it on another example. Let's select the Pen tool again. And let's do it over here. Double click over here. Click on the highest point, maker gov. Similarly overhead. Gesture to Little. Similarly over here. Basically it is a manual way to do things, but it gives you a lot of power and you can make the shape according to your need. And again, the pen tool is very difficult to master. But once you get the hang of it, it is a lifesaver to, as you can see, it is not as perfect as the richer tool. But later on I can adjust everything. And just like dead, the shape is complete. And again, if I wanted to adjust these, I can simply click on it, it Direct Selection tool and adjust these points. Let's make these Technion, I guess 40 points. Let's try on this one. By the way, the short key or pen tool is p. So I will click on b. We flip the Pen tool, click over here, and let's make a small curve over here. Zoom in a little booklet a curve over here, like so. Again. Then let's make one over here. Similarly over here. Goes it over here. And this was an ending point. There is no curve. So I can make the next point easily, though. A cube over here. Then over here. And similarly over here. This point is a little weird. We will adjust it later on. When I will click over here, you will get this weird curve. What you can do is simply select the Direct Selection Tool. Click over here. And I can bring in this anchor point like this. Similarly, I can adjust this one. And I guess a little bit over here is this one. So we have this perfect shape now and been there to do it on this one. And tool, click, click, click, click, click. It's dead simple. All you have to do is just click and you don't have to do book lake like the curvature tool requires dependable, basically makes a straight line. If you just click like this symbol, the alerts try it on the final shape, I will click over here. And just like before, I will click and drag on the highest and the lowest. I guess you guys get the idea basically. So this is how you can use the pen tool. The pen tool is very, very, very useful if you have to create anything. Data's a lot more you can do with depend tool. But for now, I will leave it over here. And probably in the advanced course, I will teach you the advanced applications of the Pen tool. I hope this was nice and easy for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 21. Easily Manipulate Shapes In Adobe Illustrator: And our guys welcome, and today we are going to learn how to manipulate shifts in Illustrator. So as you can see that I have couple of shifts over there. And this one looks like a diamond. This looks like a normal star Angel kind of thing. And this one looks like in our Ricardo or maybe an egg. So yeah, let's make these. I will select all of these n, delete them. So which one should I make first? Let start with the avocado. I will select the ellipse tool over here. And simply may occur circled over here. Like so. Okay, so basically we are going to learn about the direct selection tool. How the direct selection tool basically works. Along with the selection tool, there is direct selection do I will click on it. The every time you make a shape, you will see that there are some points over here. Let me zoom in a little. But these points are called anchors. Anchors or anchor points. With the symbol selection tool, you cannot select these points. You cannot manipulate them. But with the direct selection tool, you can select individual points and then move them like so. How cool is this? Let me press Control Z. But basically I will select this point and I will move it up like this. Let's make another ellipse inside it. And now we have an avocado. How simple was dead? You can give it a green color and brown in-situ Millikan avocado, or maybe jello and vital make an egg. Let's zoom out a little. Let's come over here. I will go over here and select the Rectangle tool. Let's create rectangle over here, a square basically. After their diverse led the selection rule. Let's rotate it a little. Again. I will select the direct selection tool and I want to manipulate this point left zoom-in a little. Though, I will select this point and simply move it up a little while doing so, just press Shift to doubt you don't move it around like this while holding Shift and moved it up. And now we have this, I don't know, pendant or diamond kind of shape. Let's make another one. I'm over here. We'll do the shapes again. And let's let the star tool. And I will create a star over here. Simple. Now I misled direct collection tool over here. And you can simply select a point and move it like this. Similarly, this one. And our simple was dead. You can select any point you like. You can select multiple points to. The, if I select both of these points by making a square, i can move both of them. Let me show you over here too. So I can select both of these points. And I can move them like this. Or may be select this one. We append down. I can make an arrow like this. The possibilities are endless. So you get the idea. You can do a lot with the direct selection tool. So I hope this was nice and easy for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 22. How To Write Text In A Shape In Illustrator: And our guys. So now we're going to learn how to write text in a circle. So I made this simple little badge over here. It's called Bertie's pizza parties. My last name. You will fight for every byte. Let me delete it and let's make it from the start. Ok, first, let me tell you what a part is. I will select the lift to lower here, and I will create a circle over here. We have a circle. So every shape initiative is also a part. Let me show you how I will remove. It's filled with this year, doesn't has a stroke or a fill. Where do you see a blue line over here? Basically this is called a path. If I go over here and click on the Type Tool and click on type on path tool. So I will come over here and you will see that the cursor is changed. No. So let's click over here. And it has automatically return some text over here. So let's try something else over here. You will fight. So it is inverted. Now, the Whenever you will select the selection tool, you will automatically see all the other options for using this handle. You can move your text. So I will put it in the middle over here. After that, I will make a copy of it. I was selected rest controller command c to copy it. And control and command shift V2, paste it. So we have two copies of it now. So now I will bring it to the bottom. But it is upside down. I wanted to be just like the top text. So I will simply move it inside the go like this. And it is inside now, just let go. But there is a problem. This text is outside the path, the circle basically. And this is inside the while selecting this, I will go to type and type on path options. Let's click on preview so that we could see what's going on. And over here, we will change it to a sender and simply hit ok. So it is outside. Now, let's write some text over here. I will select the normal type tool. Let's click over here. Alerts, right? But these, let's change its form. I will select my favorite one, bison and make it bigger and put it over here. So basically we have a very nice badge over here. Okay? And this should have been doing it for every byte that we can change this. Let's change it to for every bite. I guess this is good now. But basically this is how you can write text in a shape and not just circle. You can write it in any shape you like. Let me show you how. Let's make it smaller and put it over here. But let's just say I create a rectangle over here. Like so. Let's remove its fill. And now I will select the Type tool, not the type tool. I will select the type on path tool. Now if I click over here, you will see that it is writing the text in a square. Similarly, while you are here, let me show you another thing. Let me select the Pen tool. I will lick over here and create a path. Let's remove its fill. Like the type on part two. Let's click over here. And we have text inner path over here. In simple words, you can write text in any shape you want. I hope you guys are having fun in the course. See you guys in the next tutorial. 23. Project 3 - Create A Badge: Welcome back, guys. Sue is their default unwritten project. So in that we visit ordeal I taught to how you can write text in any shape you want. I will keep the design the way it is, and I will simply delete these. Employee select them and hit Delete on the keyboard. Let me move this up a little so that I could teach about strokes over here. First I will go over here and select the Shape tool, lips tool. And I will create a shape over here, basically a circle. Let's give it a stroke. Double-click on the stroke vector color and hit OK. Let's increase the stroke width. So as I've told you before, whenever you deflect something, you can see its option on the top. And the Properties panel. This is called the control panel, and this is called the Properties panel. Let me D2, but a simple stroke first, let me just delete this circle. Sorry. Let me just delete it. Then I was lead the pen tool and I will make a simple line or warhead. And maybe like this, I will select the selection tool to let go of it. And let's increase the stroke. As you can see if I zoom in over here, you will see that the corner has an edge. And the lines basically have a boxy type of touch. But this is where the stroke options will come in. Let me deselect this lecture. I will select this shape. Look on the stroke. And now if I click on the cap, you will see that these are rounded. No. Let me zoom in a manner. Lee, If I select it again, we'll do the stroke. And if I click on the corner to the corners are rounded. No. Is the before and the after. Similarly, you can make a strobe dashed. If I click on dashed line, you will see that it is dashed. No, no. If I go to shock options again and teach their capital, this one, you will see that they are all a geno. Basically these are all elder care been corner options. Let me do motor, it'll varying the stroke options. Here are also arrowheads. Here it is the left phone and here is the right one. But let me click on it. And I can select any arrowhead DYAMAND over here. Maybe this one or maybe this one. You can also decrease the size of the arrowhead by simply clicking over here. Let me uncheck the dashed one and make the arrowhead none. Let me show you some other options. Let me just delete this. I will let the pen tool and make an arc over here like this. Let's increase the stroke. If I go over here, or maybe in the stroke, you will see profile. So instead of uniform, if I asserted to this one, you will see that it looks like an arc. There are some other options. And we click over here. This one, maybe this one, or maybe this one. The discipline looks like an eyelash. Basically using these options, you can make a lot of different things. Let me just delete this, zoom out on, it'll bring this down. And let's make those lines. First, I will select the ellipse tool and create a circle over here. Let's destroy to black. And it OK. Nursing research too little. Okay, so I have already told you about the direct selection rule. Led me bring this down and written. Basically I want just this part of the circle. So I will select all of this, then select the Direct Selection Tool over here. And I can slit 1 and simply deleted. Simple. After that, I will go to stroke. Let's make it dashed. The arrowhead to something, maybe this one. And let's put it over here. I can copy it by pressing older option and simply drag it. I can also invert this. Let me show you how. Let me make a copy of it first. I will drag it and make a copy of it. Then I will right-click on it as form reflect. And i will reflect it horizontally and hit ok. So it is horizontal. I can place it over here and copy it over here. Alerts or just easily written. And I guess this looks alright. Let me put it up on it and bring all of this to the middle. And basically this is how you can make lined or strokes in Illustrator. I hope this was helpful to you guys in the next tutorial. 25. Let me show you how a myriad. Let me zoom out a little. Let me first show you with an example. Over here I heard him with an image. Let me zoom in. Basically, I put this Emit inside a circle. Let me delete it first so that I could show you from the start an alternatives. That means read their circle. Okay? So I have this image over here. We'll create a shape on top of it. But let's just say instead of a circle, I will create a polygon over here. Like so. And let's give it a fill. Maybe white. Basically I have this shape and this image. Remember, the shape has to be on top of the image for this to work. Now you will select both of them. Right click on them and make clipping mask. And just like debt, debt images inside debt shape now. And if you want to release it all, if you do, just click on it again, right-click M release clipping mask. Basically this is called a clipping mask. So let's delete it and apply it on Dexter. Though I will bring in an image over here. Let's just say this one. Let me resize it because it is really big. And let's write some text over here. Let me make it bigger. Bison. And looks right. Third finger over here. Make it bigger like this. And again, make sure that 2D image is behind the textual ship. Would this is behind our text. I will simply make it bigger. Okay, so I don't know what is behind this, but we'll be able to see behind the text. I will click on it and reduce you to passage over here. Instead of a 100, let's make it 50. And now I can see below it. Let's make the text a little Saudi, the image a little bigger. And place it in a way that we could see the guy's face. But this is the part which is going to get clipped. So now I will select all of this. Let me make that textural smaller. Okay? Now I will select all of these right-click clipping mask. Let's zoom out a little. So as you can see, that the image is entire detection. We can even apply a stroke on it like we did over here. So I will click on the stroke, alerts like white and increase the stroke a little, maybe u3 points. I guess this is all right. Zoom-in et al. There is one more thing we can do with it. Basically I applied a shared over here. This is called a drop shadow. So we'll come back over here, click on it. So I will go to Effect delays and drop shadow and simply hit ok. You can even play around with the settings, but for now I will simply hit OK. And if I zoom in over here, you will see that there is a shared over here. Basically I made a simple posters using this shape and some text over here. So I will bring these over here. And now we have a very simple little water over here that this is a surfing competition. And the winning price is $400. So let's bring it with the middle. The basically this is how you can put an image entailed, attached or a shape in English tutor. Did you guys in the next tutorial? 27. Project 4 - Create A Simple Poster: Hello guys. So who is dirty for another project? Basically in the last tutorial, we learn how to put an image inside, attached or a shape. For now you have to do the same. You can select any image you want, write some text and simply put that image inside their text or maybe apply it on a ship. It's extremely easy and it is not going to take any more than two minutes. But don't forget to share your work with me. And I will see you guys in the next tutorial. 28. Easily Make Curvy Lines Using The Width Tool: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make curvy lines using the width tool. Does you can see that I have couple of leaves over here. And you can see that they have different widths. Let me show you how I made them. Let me delete them. Let me zoom out a little. And I have already made this. Let's zoom in. So I made the simple lines using the pen tool. If I select the Pen tool, you can make these lines two like this. Simple. Basically I made all of this using the pen tool. It's extremely easy. But we are interested in having those words in these lanes. Let me show you how you can do it. Let me zoom in a little. Alert. Start with this line. If you come over here, you will see this width tool. It is probably one of the most fun to well-done illustrator. So I have this simple line over here, as you can see. And let's just say I want to increase the width form over here. So I can click and drag. And you will see the advertising released. How good is this lettering press Control Z. Let me zoom in a little and let us start from here. So I will, I will bring this out. And we have this line over here. I can even do it from the middle. So I can click over here and drag it out. And as you can see, that this is similarly over here. And how simple is this? That we basically have a leave no. Let's do it on these two. Simply click and drag and wonder where do much. Let's zoom in a little and do it over here. And similarly over here. Let's do mode. So basically this is how you can make leaves. You can create any lane using the pen tool, like so. And after that I was like the width tool, literally covered here and simply drag it. Basically, you can even make an eyelash using this. You can invert it like this, make a copy of it. Then inverter like this. And maybe make an i out of this. Let's make this a task I won't do to make an eye using David to. I hope this was easy for you guys. You guys in the next tutorial. 29. Create Fun Effects WIth Liquify Tools: Hi guys. So now we're going to learn about the liquefy tools. If I come over here where I selected the width tool, if I right-click on it, you will see some other options over here. Tom other tools, I guess bid tool is also one of them. These all are basically called liquefied rules. Or let me delete all of this. Let me keep this cone for reference. So let's make this cone first, I will select the ellipse tool. The short key for elifs tool is L. And I will make a circle over here. Press I had the eyedropper tool and simply click over here. And this color has been copied. Now, after that, I will select the Pen tool by pressing p. Simply click anywhere over here. Then click over here and here. And closed apart. Press, I do get the eyedropper tool and simply copy this color. And this has to be behind it. So I will click on it, right-click and arrange send to back. Let's bring it down a little. So we have December little corner over here. No. You can even make highlight like this, but we will keep it like this. Ordinal or lead sled both of them and press Control or Command G to group them. Now they are in the same group now. So let's make a couple of copies of it to three. Now select all of these and make the more copies. So let's start with the first liquefied tool. I will right-click on the width tool and get the warp tool. You can make this brush little bigger by pressing Shift and art. And then right-click and drag. Again. Shift loves art. Right-click and drag left and right. And let's see what this does. The, using this tool, you can bench top like this example. Let's go to the another one told tool, this is a fun one. So if I click on it, it will start whirling the whole image. I will is this. Let me go to the next one, which is the pucker tool. Or if I click over here, it big silly brings in all of the image that click over here. It brings all of this in. Let me press Control Z. And I guess the blur tool is opposite of this. It brings out the things that I click over here. It will bring out and everything. And, but in right-click Elop tool. And it basically gives the crystallize kind of affect. So click over here. And you can see that it is giving the chalets kind of effect. Right-click crystallize tool. And similarly over here, though the scalar pool is just like catalase to a, but in reverse. It brings in the crystals and this brings out the crystalline form. And lastly, we have the wrinkle tool. Lets try this over here. So it basically creates wrinkles. Let me apply this ONE whole image that this mix wrinkles. But these are just funded and tools to play around with. But if you are really creative and use them properly, you can make some funders are inducing them. I hope you guys liked editorial. See you guys in the next one. 30. Make Self Repeating Shapes In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now I have a very fun little tutorial for you. And we are going to make the self-refuting shapes. Let me show you what I mean by that. Let me zoom out. And I will put them over here. And let's make them from the start. So first I will go to the shape tool and maybe slept the star tool over here. And let's create our star over here, a simple little star. And then ever press ion the keyboard and then simply copy this gradient. And just, the eyedropper tool doesn't just copy colours, it also copies gradients. So if I select it, press ion the keyboard simply click over here. I will copy this gradient. Alerts press Control Z. So I will press Control or Command D rho to zoom into the canvas. Let's make this bigger like this. So what you have to do now, Right-click fast form and transform each. Simply team the horizontal and vertical scale to 90 and change the angle to, I guess 30. So the star is little bit smaller now and it has changed the angle. After that I was simply click on copy. So instead it created a copy. But this is the last thing which I did. So if I press Control D, it will do it again. And if I keep pressing Control D, it will start to beating itself and making it smaller. And how cool is this? There was sourcing Bernadette soften DMAIC. Let's try with the mother ship. Let me put this over here. Let me create another star over here. This time I will copy this color. And I will do one more thing. Let me zoom in a little. I was selected enable, Select the direct selection tool. And if you look over here, there are some so-called warrior small circles. So if I bring one of them in, I will bring all of the points. I am basically bringing in all the edges I am giving them. I guess this is alright. Let's make it bigger. And similarly, I will right-click on it. Swarm, swarm each 1990 and angle it is already there. Simply hit a copy and keep on pressing Control or Command D. And we have this finite and InDesign nimble. And let's make this one. I will select the ellipse tool and create an overlay over here like this. Let's copy this color. After that, I will make a copy of it by pressing Control or Command C and then control and command v. And simply make it like this. Let's say that both of them press Control or Command G to group them. I will make it bigger. Right-click, transform, transform each. The settings are already saved, implicate copy, and then simply press Control or Command D. And we have this fundamental design now. Basically this is how you can make self-feeding designs in Illustrator. I hope this was fun for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 31. Make Handrawn Designs With Brushes In Illustrator: I guys. So now we're going to learn how to make hand-drawn designed using brush strokes. Though, as you can see that these are simple strokes, but they look like they have this brush stroke kind of effect. Let me delete all of them. The first, let me tell you about the Pentium dual. I will go over here and click this pencil tool. And I can simply draw apart using it. It is just like the pen tool, but it is free hand. Symbol. Over. Let me delete these though. How can I get the brushes? I will go over here and window and go to brush Diabetes. And I will click on arrows. Arrows underscore special. Doesn't matter which menu click on, because you can later on see the retrofit them using this arrow. So if I click on it, I can simply switch between all of them. Over here. I can maybe select this one, then select up until tool and draw our design. If this doesn't work properly, alerts, let this one, okay. You can see that the little brush stroke on it deleted. That depends on dual again. And let's make art over here, a very bare looking one. And then click on it. And let's bring this over here. There's another heart and simply click on it. Maybe I can select this one later on, though I will make them guarantee is over here, like this one. And similarly over here, and then this one. But there are a lot of brushes over here which you can use to make different kinds of designs. I hope this was fun part. You see you guys in the next tutorial. 32. How To Copy Anything In A Circle: Welcome back guys. And today we are going to learn how to copy anything in a circle. So I have couple of shifts over here and you can see that they are in a circle. So how did I do that? But today we are going to learn how to do that. Let me zoom out a little and let's put all of these over here. I would press Control or Command D to zoom in into the Canvas. Okay, so first I will go over here and select the ellipse tool. And let's create a circle over here in the middle. Let's keep it blue. After that, I will go over here like the polygon tool. And let's create our triangle. If you want to create a triangle, simply hit the down key. And it will remove all the edges. Though I have this triangle over here. Now, let's make it a little bigger and change its color maybe. Okay. So let's put it in the middle. Basically, I want this triangle to be around this circle. There are two ways I can do it. Number 1. First, I can make a copy of it and bring it down over here. Then I can inverted like this. Then I can select both of these, make another copy and put them like this. Then I will select all of these. Make another copy and put them like this. Okay, I have to admit this was the way I used to do it too. But this is not the proper way to do it. First of all, it takes a lot of time. What if I want to put exactly 29 of these? So how will I calculate the gap between them? So let me delete all of these and we will make it from the start. Okay? So first I will select this triangle obviously. And after that, I will go to rotate to lower here. This is called the rotate tool and the short key is R. I will simply click on it. And you can see a point over here. Okay? So basically we can adjust it. I will come down over here in the middle of the circle. And while pressing older option, I will simply click over here. But the rotate tool has opened now. And over here I can set up our angle. Let's just say I want 30 degree angle. And now if I press copy, it has been copied 30 degrees to this one. And now I can press Control or Command D to make multiple copies. And now we have a lot of copies over here. And that was so quick. But what if I want a specific amount of triangles over here? How do I do that? Very simple. Let me press Control or Command Z. I have selected the rotate tool. I will press all option and simply click in the middle. But we all know that our circle has 360 degrees. So I will press 360 over here and then divide it by the number of triangles I want. Let's just say I won't exactly 17 triangles. This is also an art and a prime number and this is really hurting me. But I will address. You over here. And now when I will press control or command, it will make exactly 17 copies. You can calculate them if you want. The how cool is this? Let's try on something else. I will put this one over here. So let's try making this one. Controller command 0 to zoom in. Let's create our star over here. After that, I will come over here and create an ellipse. Let's create a one over here. Let's change its color, maybe, I guess green. And simply put it over here. I am putting it in the middle like this. Ok? So I want to circle Doobie exactly on these sides. Again, one way is dead. I again do this and this, and this. But obviously, this is gonna take a lot of time and it is not very efficient either. I will press Control Z o. What I will do is simply click on the rotate tool. And in the middle, I will press Alt or option and click over here. So I want to make five copies of it, 12345. So I will press 360 divided by five and hit okay. Not okay. I had to click on Copy, press Alt or Option again, click over here. Three is 60 divided by five, and I will click on copy. Rest controller command D. And we have exactly five copies over here. Simple. Let's zoom out for this one over here. And let's make this one. So how did I make this one? Let me put this one over here so you could see it properly. It is actually very simple. Let me show you how. Let me put this one over here. So first I will select the ellipse tool, and let's create an ellipse like this one. After that, I will select the Direct Selection Tool. And you can simply manipulate it like I can click on this anchor point and maybe put it like this, or maybe click on this one and rotate it like this. I can, I can do this, but there are multiple things you can do with it. And let me keep it like this. Let me bring it to the middle. Though I will click on the rotate tool. So I wanted to rotate from this point. I will press Alt or option and click over here. And let us just put 30 degrees and here don't copy. Just press Control or Command D. And we have this very nice pattern nor the pattern, but our flour like shape. So basically this is how you can mutate anything in Illustrator. I hope this was fun for you. See you guys in the next tutorial. 33. How To Make Patterns In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make patterns in Illustrator. So as you can see that I have two patterns over here and we're going to learn how to make them. Let me zoom out a little. And I will simply delete them. So I have this polygon over here. So you might remember in the beginning of the course, we learned how to make a honeycomb effect. Basically a honeycomb pattern. So how did we make it? We made a copy of it like this. And then this. And then we copied all of this. You can totally do this, but it is gonna take a lot of time. But if you want to make a honeycomb of thousand polygons, it, it's gonna take ages. But let me delete all of this and let me tell you the proper way to do it. So I will bring this one in the middle. After that, I will go to object, overhead pattern and click on Make, lick, okay. To basically these are pattern options. It is already showing me the potential patterns which I can make. Over here. There is great brick by brick by column by column. And Hex by rho. Let me just say text by column. And you can see I already have a pattern over here. Though. I also have the width and height options over here. So I will click on it and I will move the most growlers. So you can see the gaps over here now. Similarly, I can do with the height. I can also change the copies. Let me set it to nine by nine. So I have a bigger sample size. No. After I'm done with the settings, I will simply come over here and click on Done. Let me zoom alternative. I can bring this over here. And in the swatches panel, if you don't see the swatches panel, simply go to Windows. And if you scroll loner at l, you will see the swatches panel. Here is the swatches panel. Simply click on it. So I have this over here. Let me put this one over here and I will close the rest. So over here you see there is a new pattern. Simply click on it. And now you can create any shape with dislike or fill or a gradient. You can also make a pattern. And now if I select I shape over here, let's just see an ellipse. Let me remove the fill so dead you don't get confused. And now if I create an ellipse over here, you will see the pattern. I can also create a rectangle over here. And it will create a pattern over here. Basically. How cool is this? Let me delete it like this again. Go to object, then pattern and make. We can make a new burden about x by column or Hex by rho. And we can adjust the width and the height. I will make something like this. And simply click on Done. And now I will select it from the Swatches over here and we simply click on it new patterns seven and set it to the fill. So now I can create a shape over here, maybe our rectangle. And I have that pattern. How simple is this? Let me press Control Z for now. Okay, so you can practically make a pattern out of anything you want. So I have these cones over here, which I made in the last tutorial. Maybe the one before it. Or what if I want to create a pattern out of them? Let me make them smaller. Like so. Then I will go to object pattern and make it okay. But you can already see the potential, pardon? You can adjust it by grid and row and column. So I guess this is all right. I can adjust the width and the height. Let me bring them closer. And when you're done, implicate, OK. Let me move these to the side. And I can create a polygon over here and maybe, and I will select this. Make sure that it is not as a stroke, it should be as a fill. So I will create a polygon over here. Our triangle may be, let me do this again. A triangle like this. I don't think this is looking good. Let me create ellipse and we have ice creams. And basically this is how you can easily create burdens in Illustrator. I hope this was fun for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 34. Project 5 - Create A Pattern: Welcome back guys suggests you have guessed it right. You have to do a project now. And I am repeating this again. You don't have to do the projects. But those of you who will do the projects, they are going to be way better than the ones who don't. My job is to tell you that we have to compute the projects and give you something to do. But the rest is up to you. Again, we have a very simple kind of project over here. All you have to do is rewrite an illustration like this, or maybe a shape. You can even create a star like this and maybe manipulate a little using the direct selection tool. I'm talking like this. Do you? And then make a baton out of it, simply select it and go to object and then make the rest. Can be to see your projects. See you guys in the next tutorial. 35. How To Break Apart Text In Adobe Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to manipulate or break apart text in Illustrator. Or as you can see that I have some text over here. But this was not the actual forums. And let me show you the real ones. Let me take these over here and bring this one over here. But this was the original one. I turned it into this one. Similarly, this one is a gentleman and a actually ended this part. So how did I do it? Let me zoom in. So let's do this 1 first. Let me make this one red because it is supposed to be scary though this color. Ok. So there is a tin foil making outlines in Illustrator. By making outlines, you can basically edit individual elements. Let me show you how. If I slept all of this and I click on the direct selection tool, I cannot add it individual anchor point. Because this is a text. You'll be able to edit it. I will first have outlines of it. And the short before it is Control or Command Shift or the basically we made outlines of our text nor we can right-click on it and ungroup it. So all of these are individual elements nor they are and original parts. And we can edit them individually, like Request Control or Command Z. We sent all of these are individual elements. Now I can click the direct selection tool. And if I click on any one of them, I can see their anchor points. Let me zoom into this. But let's just say I want to edit this part. I can simply click on this anchor point and bring it down like this. And similarly, I can click on this one and bring it down. Let's do it with a2. Simply bringer, don't let me bring these points instead. It's totally up to you how you want to make it. And similarly, this one, I can also update the inner parts. I can click over here and bring this one over here. Who bring delta G Luke. And similarly for the C. And we have this Charaka enough text now. And similarly you can edit entailed other text2. Let's just say I want to read this part. I can simply click on it and bring it down like this. Or I can even select all of these anchor points. Let me zoom in so that you could see properly. I can click on this anchor point, this one and this one. Since DC-3 unmaking this part, and I will press Delete on the keyboard and the Argonne. You can even bring them in like this. Like so. Totally up to you. You can do a lot of stuff using this. Similarly, I can come over here. I can split this part and this part and maybe bring it in a little. Like Eigen totally destroyed this texture. Though. Let me zoom out a little and let's try with this one. Let's bring this one over here. And let's work on this one. So we are going to work on this fancy one. Again. First you have to click on it, then press Control or Command. Shift O. O for all. I think I didn't select it properly. Control and command. It's controlled for Windows and command for Mac to Control or Command Shift O. We have outlines nor the now I can select the Direct Selection Tool. Come over here. Okay, so if I want to move all of this part, I will have to select all of them. I cannot select just one anchor point. Let me show you what I mean by that. If I select this one, anchor point, maybe this one, and if I move it, it will get moved like this. This is not bad actually, it looks like a needle. Let reverse controller command z. So I will select all of this, I guess, till this anchor point, or maybe till this one. Let me zoom out a little. And now I can stretch all of data like this. I can gesture it maybe till the end. And how cool is this? If I want, I can even edit this. Eigen slept all of this. I guess all this part may be this two. And I can extend this simple. Maybe I want to make this a little edgy. So I can select this, I guess, these anchor points and I can bring them in. Ok, this doesn't make much sense, but you get the idea. You can totally play around with all of this. May be something like this. Basically you can do whatever, whether do Lake and using this technique, you can basically make a different kind of texts act. You can even make your own phone. So I hope this was fun for you guys and you guys are learning. See you guys in the next tutorial. 36. How To Warp Shapes And Text In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to walk text or shapes in illustrator. Who, as you can see that I have these weird-looking Wolpe kindof shapes and text over here. So we are going to learn how to make these. Well, let me delete all of these and I will keep this one the same. So how did I make this? Basically, these are just three lines. Will go over here. Retired rectangle over here like this. Press on the keyboard to get the eyedropper tool and simply click over here. Similarly, I can make another copy of it, and then another one, like this one. Copy this color. And similarly select this one and copy this color. Ok? So I have this little flag, the kind of thing. Now, let me make it smaller and just delete this. Let's let all of this impulse control or command G, we simply grouped them obviously. So now if I move one of them, I am moving all of them. Simple. Okay, so let me just make a couple of copies of them. 1236, sorry. X. Again, if you want to copy anything, just let it rest all dot option on the keyboard and drag it and it will get copied. Okay, so now we are going to learn about doo-wop. Simply select the shape or text you want. Then go to Effect. And over here you will see warp. Let me just click on the first option, which is called arc. So here are the warp options and there are a lot of options over here. So currently I have selected arc. I can select a lower arc apart, OK. Arch, then bulge, and so on. Like there are a lot of them. Let me just like the first one over here, immobile and hit okay. Similarly I can click the second one, go to Effect bob and may be select this flag. It okay. Would affect again, warp and maybe select this wave. And again, there are also a lot of options over here. So you can, in the settings, you can also change them horizontally and vertically. And basically you can warp your shifts in different kinds of ways. Similarly, let's do it with this one. Warp and they're lower. And simply play around with the settings. Like it's totally up to you and your doctor. I guess I don't have to do all of them. You get the idea. And let me show you how you can do this with x2. So I will select the x2. How did I do that? I simply press T on the keyboard, T4 Tiger, and I will click over here and I have some texture warrior. Let's make it bigger. Simply press T again, and let all of this go to properties and it's changed the text. I have this text score, who barrier, which already like. So let's make it bold. And let's write a low, which make it bigger. So just like any shape, you can apply all of this on our text too. So I have selected this, I will go to Effect and then warp. Click on OK. Let me reset these so that we will have a proper effect. Ok, so we have this protection and OK. We can even do this, I guess I really like this one and simply hit OK. And now you can even edit it. Let's just see if I click on it. And I say hello. So I have dysfunctional. How cool is this? Let me press Control or Command Z to bring it back. Okay, so there's one more thing you can do. I have this Hello over here. Let me select the Rectangle tool. And let's create a rectangle over here. Let's change its color to this one. And it is at the top of the text. If I wanted to send it back, I will right-click on it, arrange and send to back him. But now I can do the effect on both of them to either select both of them, press Control or Command G to group them. Then go to Effect warp and arc. Or maybe our upper or lower. I guess this looks good. So if you are making a design on a banner or a pamphlet, you can totally use all of these settings. So basically this is how you can use warped to make squiggly little kind of designs. If you guys are having fun in the course, don't forget, do review it. See you in the next tutorial. 37. How To Vectorize Images In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to vectorize any image in Illustrator. Though I had this image over here. Let me bring it into Illustrator. And you can see this was the original image. And then I convert it into something like this. The vestibular disorder vector now, and I can edit it. But let me show you how you can make this two. Let me simply delete all of this. And we will make the same effect on this one. Currently, this is an image, we cannot edit any of its parts. But we've vectorized an image in Illustrator debt is a very cool option. Simply click on this, then go to Window, and then find imagery. So realising mysteries, okay, so here is the image Trace. Simply click on it and you will get this image trace panel. Let me simply docket over here. So I can click on it and get all the settings. Okay, sometimes it takes a lot of time depending on the image. So if I click on preview, okay, so currently I just have two colors, black and white. Now, it actually vectorize the whole image in black and white. But there are a lot of other options too. If you go to presets, you can create a high-fidelity photo. It will basically create the same image, seem colours. It will vectorize it. The whole screen went black. But the whole image will be vectorized. And they can say depending on the image, it can take a lot of time. 30 sticking way longer than expected. I guess it is done. Okay. So as you can see that it looks the same, pretty much bird, the whole image is vectorized. Now, you can see some blurry areas because let me show you what I mean by that. Let me close this. And if I right-click on it, sorry, first click on it, then go to Properties, and then click on expand. The whole image is divided into little bits and pieces and they are all vector. Let me show you what I mean by that. So if I select this junk, I will have to ungroup it first. And now if I let this chunk, I can move it. Because these are all pixels. These are actual vectorized pixels. I can select all of them and I can change their color to, but this is not what we won't let me go back. I will speed up all of this. Basically, I'm undoing a wilting, which I did. Okay, so we're back to the original image. First, select the image, then go to image trace. And instead of high-fidelity, I will click on because it basically vectorized the whole image, but industry colors. Similarly, you can select six or maybe 16, or you can also select all these other options. So I will keep it to three. Ok, so now I can click on it and then click on expand. So all of these are separate parts. Now, let me ungroup it first. Let me zoom out a little. Though. This is a separate part. Similarly, this is a separate part. So I can select one of these parts and change its color like this. But what if I want to slide this part and then this part and the other parts two. And there are a lot of small bits and pieces to how can I select all of them? Let me show you how will I overslept just one color, this one. Then I will go over here and the top and click on select similar objects. But now it's selected everything of DAD color. I can simply double-click on it and maybe select this light blue and hit OK symbol. Similarly, eigenstate this color. Go to flex similar objects. And maybe make it a little darker blue. And maybe same with discipline. Or we can leave it like this to, I guess I will do this one to this colored, select similar colors. And let's make it something very blue or dark blue. Let us remote. And how cool is this? We basically vectorized the image and we can even change its colors. So I hope this was nice and easy for you guys to you guys in the next tutorial. 38. How To Create Glitch Effect In Illustrator: Hi guys. So now we're going to learn how to make this really cool glitch tech defect. It is very simple, so let's get started. Let me simply delete it. I already have the text over here, so I will bring it down. Let me see what the font is. So the font is bison, bold, italic. Okay, so let me zoom in here. It'll basically we will have to make our length of the text like I mentioned in the previous tutorial. For debt, I will press Control or Command Shift O, though I have it'ss outlines now. And basically I will make two copies of it. No. So I will select this press alter option that keyboard and simply drag it left, like so. And I will change its color to pink or magenta or something like that. And it ok. And currently this text is at the top. Basically this pink one is at the top. I have to send it back to. I will right-click on it, arrange and send to back. And now I will copy this pink one employee selected, press Alt or Option and simply drag it to the right. Like this. And I will change its color to blue. And hit OK. After that, I will select the Rectangle tool, Rectangle Tool, and simply make three lines over here. Let me show you how. So let's create a line over here like this. Let's make it white. Or maybe something which we can distinguish. I guess yellow is all right. I will make another copy of it over here and then maybe another one. Like so. Let me move this down a little. And when you're done pacing the lines, there is a new tool. We're going to use a new panel. Basically. I will go to window over here and find Pathfinder, like on Pathfinder over here. And simply drag an docket over here. Let me just remove this. So we have the path 100 pendant over here. But before using it, I will select all of these three lines. Right click on them and send to back. After that, select all of this, go to the Pathfinder and click on divide. What basically happened rate. Now, let me close it. And if I click on it, you will see that there are different sections over here now. And if I move one of them, I will move all of it. This is basically a group. And if I right-click on it and ungroup it, you will see that all of these are divided into different parts. And now we can slide just the yellow one. Go to collect similar objects and simply press delete key. But the yellow parts are born, but they left us with these parts. So what we can do with them, we can simply select all of this. You will have to eyeball it, risk control or command G to group it. Similarly, I will have to check over here. So this is the line I will start from here, plus control or command G0. Similarly, I can check over here. So this is the part, and I can drag Risk Control or Command G. So we basically have three groups over here now. So I will select the first one, and let's move it to the left a little. Not too much. Similarly, I can select this one, this one to the right a little. And similarly this one and this one to the left a little or maybe right. I guess I messed this up and it'll who I will move it. Let me zoom in. And I guess this is on rate. So we have this glitched extra factor o symbol was dead. If you want that to be a little more accurate, makes sure these lines are thin. I made these line thick on purpose. So now I will click on this text and I will make sure that it is on the top. It is not on the top. So I will right-click on it a range and sent to front. And now I will bring it down and place it over here. And just like that we have this long shadow kind of effect. I can go to View and trim view so that we could just see inside the canvas. And this is how you can easily create a long shadow in Illustrator. I hope this was nice and easy for you guys to you guys in the next tutorial. 51. How To Use Free Form Gradients In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. And now we are going to learn about free-form gradients. As you can see that I have a very nice gradient over here. Let me zoom out a little. And basically I've made a clipping mask out of it. So I will click on it then right-click and release clipping mask. But this was the original gradient and let me delete this text. So how did I make this gradient? If I go to the gradient panel over here, and if I click on it, you will see that I have selected this third option. We have already used a linear gradient, the radial one. This one is called free form gradient. So what is a free-form Gideon? Basically, let me delete this and we can make it from the start. The first, I will create a shape over here, and we'll create a rectangle like so. Then I was led to free-form ingredient. So it has automatically created a religion for me. Though what is happening over here? Basically, there are points which you can control. You can even move them in or out, and altered genes or colors. Basically, this is a free form gradient. Though I can double-click on it. Vector color. And just like that, I have a color over here. Let's let one over here, a yellow one maybe. Over here, I will set something green maybe, or maybe blue. And over here, let's make it purple. And you can simply click on one of them and drag them like this. To create a free form gradient. You can adjust them whatever way you like. If you want to delete a point, you can simply select it and press delete key on the keyboard and it will be deleted. Or you can click anywhere. And the point has been placed and you can change its color. There's one more thing you can do. Instead of placing points, you can place lines. So I will click on the lane over here. Lines, click once and you will get this pen tool kind of thing. You can click anywhere and they sit like this and now you can bend it. So I have this bendy kind of gradient over here. To be honest, we don't use it very often, but it is there if you needed. So I will select the gradient tool again. And let me just undo all of this. I guess this is alright though I will bring my text over here. Always make sure that it is at the front. If you want to make a clipping mask, I will bring it over here. I will select this and this right-click may clipping mask. And I have disputable gradient on this text over here. Simple. I hope this was easy for you guys to see you guys in the next tutorial. 52. How To Make Doughnut In Illustrator: Hello everyone. So now we are going to learn how to make a donut in Illustrator. But let's detail so that I can make it from the start. The first I will go over here and select the ellipse tool. And let's create a circle over here, like so. After that, I will go to Effect 3D and revolve. Ok, so too did evolve with a very advanced topic. And I will be covering it in detail in the advanced course. But for now, I thought you would know what it does and how fun it is. So this is the 2D revolve options. Once you create an object, this shows you the 3D options and you can even revolve it if you want. And there is the offset. You can click on it and make the whole over here a little bigger. Like this. You can adjust it whatever way you like. You can even see it from the bottom. Let's keep it like this. And you can also select the shading. So there is no shading. Then diffuse shading and plastic sheeting. But let's make it diffuse, I guess. Or I guess plastic is all right. And when you're done, simply hit OK. And now if I make the circle bigger, you will see that might donate is getting bigger. And if you want to edit it, you have to go to windows and click on appearance. We will get this appendix panel. Let's dock it over here. Simply click on it, and over here you will see 3D revolve options. Click on it, and now you can edit it. I can edit the direction if I want. Like this. I guess this is all right. And simply hit OK. I can even change the color if I want. No alerts make brownish, kind off orangeish kind of doughnut. This is yellow. We can even make it blue, totally up to you. So basically this is how you can use to do reward to create a doughnut in Illustrator. You can make 3D to all, to make all kinds of things in Illustrator. But data is a little advanced for you right now. And we will cover it in their Gua scores. And I will see you guys in the next tutorial. 53. Convert Anything Into 3D In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. And now we are going to learn how to convert anything into 3D in Illustrator. But you can see that I have detrital logo over here, which is in 3D, and some shapes in 3D. So how did I do it? Let me zoom out a little. Why do I have this over here? Let's delete all of this. And we have these shapes over here. So let's start with this star over here. I will zoom back in. Sorry. Okay, so simply select it. Then go to Effect 3D and extrude and Bevel. And just like dead, we already have a 3D effect. You can increase the depth if you want. So this is getting deeper and deeper. I will keep it to something like one 30-something from 23 and hit OK. And just like debt, we have this star in 2D. Simple. Let's try it with this router logo n next. Yes, you can apply it on text2. What will happen if I apply the 3D on both of them together? Let me check. We will go to Effect 3D extruded unwell. Ok, so it is applying on both of them. And just like that, we can increase the extrude, review and hit OK. So the logo and the text is in 2D. Simple. Let's try on this one too. Okay, so for dad, I will have to use the shareholder tool, but I will come over here and simply combine all of this so that I can delete it. Let's bring them over here. As women go to Effect VD and extrude NB. Well, let's keep it like this and hit OK. So basically this is how you can easily convert anything into 3D in Illustrator. I hope this was nice and simple for you guys to you guys in the next tutorial. 54. Move Design With Puppet Pen Tool: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn one of the most fun tools in Illustrator. And there, there's the Puppet Warp tool. As you can see that I have couple of characters over here. I simply made them using a circle and a couple of lines. And it seems like the ad fighting. So how did I do that? If I come over here, there is the peppered Warp tool. And using it, I can practically move them. Okay, so first you have to select them. And then under the Puppet Warp tool. And as you can see that I can move it for Similarly, I can select this one. I can click the Popper Warp tool and yes, I again make them dance. Oh, let me move to the side. I have this very simple little looking guy over here. So how did I make him, what hurt? Anybody? I was like the Ellipse tool and create a circle over here. After their employees, like the dangled a long line like this. And similarly, you can make another line like this and rotate it just like that. Similarly, you can copy it, rotated again. You got the idea. You can copy it again, rotate it, and similarly rotated again. So basically this is how you can create a simple-looking collector. Let's delete this. We are going to use this one. And just I also group them. So if I ungroup it, these are separate elements. Though I selected all of them, then press Control or Command G on the keyboard. So they are all grouped. And now I will go here like the Puppet Warp tool. Never do select the proper Warp tool. It will automatically put some points on your object. And point over here, one over here is basically guessing it. You have to adjust the point yourself. Though I will put a point over here. I can also move the point. I can select it and deleted. Okay. You're gonna remove it like this. You have to select n. Believe it, though, there is a point over here, one over here. I will put one over here and delete this one. And put one over here. Basically, these will act as nice. And similarly these will act as elbows. And maybe one over here and one over here for the neck. Basically you can move these points. So if I select one of them and I can move it like this, since there is a point over here, I can move it and rotate it. So I can set it up like this. That up opposition if I want. And just laid there. We have a position over here. I was unbelief doubt less Control or Command Z to bring it back. Reflected again, like the Popper Warp tool. Now we know how to move different body parts. So let's hit it. This is how you can make your Creator dance in Illustrator. You get the idea now, basically you can move different parts using the Puppet Warp tool. Let me show you another example. Let's create our star over here, like this. And if I select the Puppet Warp tool, you can see that there are different points over here. Willowbrook and put a point over here. And now I can make a dance to whom? You can different parts. Using this. You can even make animations like you can set up the whole scenario using Illustrator and later on any muting aftereffects. This is how I used the Puppet Warp dueling illustrated. I hope this was fun. See you guys in the next tutorial. 55. Make Fun Designs Using Tilde Key In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to make some really fun designs using that to laggy in Illustrator. So what is the two Leckie? Let me do that first. I will move these up over here. Let me zoom back in. Let me select the Text tool. Make this bigger. Let's turn it white. Okay, so where does the two lucky? But you're lucky is the one which is on the left side of number one on the keyboard. But this one is that. I don't know where it is on the Mac. But you can search it up. And this is dirty Leckie, let me move this over here so there you could refer it if you want. The word to Lake, you basically do. Let me select the lift to lower here. Let's change its color to pink. So if I create a shape over here, it will basically care at a simple circuit like that, is it Burt? And if I select the lift tool again, and while making the circle, if I hold the two lucky, this will happen. Let's see what we made. But this looks like a tornado or something like that. So if you do anything while holding the two lucky in basically repeated set. So I have selected the lift to lower here. And while making the left, if I hold it till Dickey, it will basically repeat the movement. I can even do all of this. And it is emitting everything. Let me just delete this. Let me show you another example. I can select the star tool. Maybe let's change the color to something like this. It ok. So if I make a star, it is just a star. And winemaking a star, if I hold that too leaky. Now you will see that it is making some really interesting patterns. How cool is this? Let me move this to the side. Let's put it over here. I cannot reflect the polygon tool alerts in color. And guess orange. And simply, while making the design process to lucky. And this is how you can make some really fun designs. How cool is this? This is totally abstract. I didn't plan any of this. You will see that these are different than this one and this one. But as you can see that you can make really fun designs using a leaky. I hope you guys learned something fun. See you guys in the next tutorial. 56. How To Make Blends In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn about blends in illustrator. And when over the previous tutorials in which I taught you how to make a long shadow. I taught it to you by making a blend. The basically we are going to cover blend in a little detail. Let me just move this to the side so that I could teach you how i made these. But let's first make a circle over here, a simple circle. Let's copy this color. Okay? So I didn't just make this circle, then made another one, a little bigger one, and so on. That would take a lot of time. So basically using the blend, you can do a lot of turf. Let me make this smaller. I will copy this, make this bigger. So this is the bigger one and this is the smaller one. I can select. Both of them. Go to object, blend, blend options. Let's set the specified steps to, I guess 15 and hit OK. Now I will go to object again and blend NMAC. So basically there are 15 versions between them, and each one is a little bigger than the other. Coming up to this point. Similarly, you can make another circle over here, and one over here that changes color to yellow. And now I can select both of them, can go to object, blend and make that basically it made a gradient out of them. I can also set both of them go to object blend and blend options. Instead of 15, I can set it to one hundred and ten hundred is the max number and hit OK. But this is a smooth gradient null. What was the last one? Okay, so this one, the alerts create a circle over here and change its color to something like magenta. Okay, let's put our stroke on it too. Just for fun. And if I copy it over here, I can select it and go to object, blend and make. And we have multiple copies of it null. So Blend dual is extremely powerful. And in the advanced course you are going to learn some very cool stuff which you can make the Dublin dual. See you guys in the next tutorial. 57. Create Tube Text Effect: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn how to make this really cool tube texture effect. Let me zoom out a little and place it over here. And bring this circle over here. Let me zoom in. So if I select the circle and go to the gradient panel, okay? You have to first select the field because this is a fill. Otherwise you won't be able to see it. That was like the fill over here. And you can see the gradient, basically this yellow, a little darker yellow and then yellow mean. So it gives a little goldfish kind of effect. Let me close this. First. I will put this over here and make a copy of it. I will select both of them. Then go to Effect. Sorry. You will have to go to object, blend and make. This is not smooth, but you will go to object again, blend and blend options and set the specified steps to 1 thousand and hit OK. But this is very smooth. No. After that, I will select the pencil tool and let's create an S-shape over here. You can create whatever shape you like. But every letter you like basically. So I have this path over here. Let me give it a color soda and you could see. But this is a part. So there is one amazing thing that you can do with the blend. You can select a blend and apart and place this blend on this part. Let me show you how it will go to object blend and replaced by this one. If I click on it, there blend has been applied on the part. Let me zoom out a little. You can see this S, i didn't make this one properly. Let's let this one over here and bring this one over here. Zoom in. And and I will set both of them, go to object, blend and play a spine. And this is how you can make some really nice duplex defect in Illustrator. You can try it with different colors if you want. And you can also try it on different letters. I hope you guys like this. See you guys in the next tutorial. 58. How To Recolor Art Work In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn how to recolor artwork in Illustrator. But these are artworks from previous tutorials and I actually record them. Let me zoom out. Let me delete these and bring these over here. But these were the original artworks. But you don't have to change color of every element individually. Let me show you how you can select all of this. Then go to Edit, Edit Colors and recolor artwork. You might be seeing this, or you might be seeing advanced options like this. So in case you're seeing this, all you have to do is simply click on edit. And over here, make sure that you check this. Basically this will link the harmony of the colors. Okay, I actually unlinked did. So I have to link it again. So now if I move one of the colors like this, you will see these changing. If I change this one colour, it will adjust rest of them accordingly. How cool is this? So I guess this is all right. Simply hit OK. And we have changed the color of this artwork. We don't have to select and change the color individually of everything. And when only I can't let this go to Edit, Edit Colors, recolor artwork. So I have this open already and I can simply move one of them. And it will change the corner of everything. I guess this is all right. Employee click anywhere else. And we have changed color of DES. And basically this is how you can recolor artwork in Illustrator. I hope this was nice and easy for you guys. See you guys in the next tutorial. 59. Easily Make Curves Smooth In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make smooth curves in Illustrator. So this is dare to plexi fight we made in the previous tutorial, but it is a little demented. I actually edited the curve alittle. Similarly, I have the shape over here. So I want to make it very smooth. I can select it. And overhead where the pencil tool is, there is this smooth tool. Simply click on it. So it is already showing me all the anchor points. So I can simply click and draw over here. And it will start making everything smoother. Similarly over here and here. So using this, I can make things smoother and it add or remove anchor points accordingly. I guess this is all right. But the whole thing with mood now, let me zoom out a little. Let's put this one over here and let's make a copy of it so we could see the before and after two. Let me zoom in by was let this one go to the smooth tool. And now I can smooth all of this like so. So you can see that it is making everything smooth. It could take you a little bit of time, but it makes everything much smoother. So I guess this is better a little bit over here and you can see the difference. So this was the before and after. So you don't have to select and then go to the direct selection tool and edit each and every anchor point. There is a very nice bedroom routines, but sometimes it can take a lot of time. So if you want to update a simple curve, you can simply select the Move Tool and agitator. These are some very basic yet very powerful things. So you need to know about these. See you guys in the next tutorial. 60. Create Neon Text Effect In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to make this really nice neon tax effect in Illustrator. Let me delete all of this and let's make it from the start. Let me zoom alternative so that I could bring in this text. And let's change its color to white so that we could see it properly. Let's zoom in. What is the font we have over here? I will press T on the keyboard to get the Type Tool and simply click over here. And this font is called barriers. Though I will change the color of the text. I want something pink though. I will make it very light pink. It okay. After that I will make a copy of it. First Control C and then control shift v. So I have a copy of it over here. I guess I will put it over here. And I will change the color of this one to something very bright. Let me change its warmness. Let's make it bold, or I guess regular, which is a little bolder than this. After that I will go into effect blur N Schindler. Let's decrease it and increase it a little more. Like so, and hit OK. Now I can select this one and bring it down over here. And how cool is this? And if you want a little bit more spread, bring this up, that this one, go to the business panel and Gaussian Blur and increase it a little. And I guess this is alright and hit okay. Let's bring this down. And we have this really nice neon tax effect. I can bring it up and copy it. And as we have learned before, we can go to Edit, Edit Colors, recolor artwork, and select whatever color we want. So I guess I will make this bluish greenish green is or right click anywhere. And we have this really nice neon tax effect. And it was so easy to make, do, try making it. It is very simple and easy to make. See you guys in the next tutorial. 61. How To Freely Transform Objects In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how to fully transform of Gerson illustrator. There, as you can see, I have this flower over here. This is the one we made in one of the previous tutorials. And I actually transformed it. Does for maintains in Photoshop is actually very simple. But in illustratively it is somewhat difficult. Let me delete this and let me show you how you can make these. So I will make a copy of it, maybe three copies. Let's zoom in. So I will select one of them. And where the purple warp dual is, there is this free-form tool. I will select this and you will get this panel over here. And if you hover over any of them, you will see different options, free-form, respective distort, we distort. So let me take the Fourier transform and using it, you will see that the cursor has changed. I can basically transform the shape like this. I can even transform it from over here. Let's try it on the second one. Like the free transform again. And let's let the perspective restored. So using this, you can distort the perspective of any object. You can do it horizontally or vertically. Alerts like the last one. You transform and like this for you distort the, using this, you can distort anything like so. Basically these are very simple tools, bird, they can come in really handy. And again, this is one of those tools which are lot to professional during normal mode. So I hope this was fun. See you guys in the next tutorial. 62. Easily Calculate In Illustrator For Designing: And our guys. So now we're going to learn how you can easily do calculations in Illustrator. To I have a couple of squares over here. This one represents the size and this one stroke and this one blur. So I have told you before, whenever you click on something, for example, if I click on this one, you can see this dog over here. And you can basically look at latrines in every field in Illustrator. Let me show you how. So this one has a stroke 16. Let's just say I apply a stroke of 16 on this one too. Okay? Well, let's just say I want to multiply the stroke. I want it to be double this one. So I will simply come over here. I will put up the multiply sign and then multiply by two and I will press enter. You will see that this stroke is Teddy to know, which is 15 times two. Similarly, if I click on this one and go to Appearance panel, I can see the blur value, but here it is 18. So I will come over here. Let's apply a blur on this one. Go to Effect equation blur, blur, Gaussian blur. And it is 18 over here. Let me hit okay. So it is blurred like this one. And if I want to edit it, I will come over here. Let's just say I want to do it 18 minus eight. So I will put minus eight over here. Let's enter. And now its value is ten. Simple. Similarly, you can change the values of the length and width, basically the size. So I can click on this one. And this one is I guess 250 to 50. So let's make this 050 by 50. Okay, it is the same size as this one. And let's just say I want to double it. So I can put multiplied by two and similarly multiply by two. And whenever click away, it is double this size. In short, if there is a field in Illustrator, you can put calculations into it. Last minus multiply, divide an oldest of. Let's try it right over here. Let's divide this by two. And similarly divide this one by two. It is back to its original size. And this is how you can easily do calculations in Illustrator. I hope you guys will find this useful. See you guys in the next tutorial. 63. Draw Logos With Golden Ratio In Illustrator: Hello everyone. So today we are going to learn how to make logos using golden ratio in Illustrator. Let me zoom out a little. And I will put this over here. Then press Control or Command 0 to zoom in or get to. Before we learn how to make a logo using golden ratio, we need to make the golden circles. And what are the golden circles and how you can make them. The first, I will go over here and select the Rectangle tool. And over here, I will make a simple square. Let's put some stroke on it so that we could see it. After that, I will copy it. Then select all of this end rotated. Then select the rectangle tool again. And I will make another square root over here. And it will be the same size as these two are. The selection tool that all of this and rotate. Let's put this over here. The square or the rectangle tool again and create a square root over here. And let's do it one or two more times. Created. Let's make it a little smaller, like the Rectangle tool. And let's make a square over here. And I guess this is alright. Let's bring all of this to the middle. But this is basically known as Fibonacci series. Basically eat a next square is the sum of previous one. But this one is the sum of these two. Similarly, this one is the sum of these two. And similarly this is the sum of all of this. But since this is a design tutorial, I'm not going to explain it to you in detail. You can search it up on internet. So after making these squares, I will go over here and select the ellipse tool. Basically I will make circles inside them. So I will come over here and you can see the center over here, basically the center of the whole square. You can see that lens over here when I hover over it and simply written in the middle. So if you want to make a circle or a square or any shear from the middle, all you have to do is while making it redshift and oiled and format it would be option. So I will press Shift and Alt and then make a circle over here. And it will automatically get snap to the school year. Similarly over here, make a circle from the very center, over here. And over here to basically now we have made the golden circles. So now we want to get all the circles. You already know how to do it. I will simply click on one of them and then go to select him and shape the law. I have collected all the shapes here. It is also flipped it this one. So I will move all of this over here. This was just for the color reference I will put over here. And I will delete all of this. So basically I have the Golden circles over here. Now. Let's bring them here and I'll zoom in, let all of them, and align them vertically and horizontally. Let me delete this one because there is a copy. Basically we have these golden circles now. Let me zoom out and I will go to layers and turn on this lock layer. So basically I have already made a sketch over here and I'm going to trace it. And you have to make sure that your golden circles are the same size as the outermost circle. So I guess this is all right, let me make it a little smaller. So this is the golden circles we are going to use. Okay, so there is a rule for these. When you start using them, you cannot resize them. Ledger say I want to use this circle over here. So I cannot resize it or transform it in any way. Didn't press Control or Command Z. With this latest locked, I cannot move this. Let me make the golden circles are little boulder, lush press control or commodity 0 to zoom in. Let me turn on this clear. And let's move it to the side a little. Or we could refer to the golden circles properly. Yes, this is alright. Let's make all of this a little smaller. Don't add day would be inside the canvas. Let me log declared though I cannot move this. So basically what you will do is you will start copying circles from here. I will grab the circle, I will copy it and bring it over here and simply place it over here. Perfect. Let's see if this circle fits this curve. I will make a copy of it and place it over here. And this looks all right. Similarly over here. This is also all right. It doesn't have to be perfect because the drawing below it is just a sketch. It is just for reference. Let's make a copy over here. I guess this is not all right. I will delete it. And let's grab this circle and put this one over here. Because we are not allowed to resize the circles alerts like this one and make a copy and put it over here. This seems alright. Lets move all of these to the side. Ok, so I have to use one over here. Let's use this one. Not this one. Let us try this one. So I guess this is all right. And similarly make a copy of it. You'll make the neck. This doesn't seem alright. I will use this one for the neck. And I guess we are done. So let's select all of this. And I will go to the ship builder tool over here. And let's remove all the extra videos. We don't need this press R-dot option and drag over them. You also don't need this one. Don't need this alert. Zoom in. We don't need all of this, although not this and this. Let's combine all of this. But this was the neck and the head. Let's combine all of this. We don't need this. And we also don't need all of this. That is delete all of this to the alerts, combine all of this, and let's combine all of this. I guess we are done. The obviously there are some extra shifts over here. Let me try to remove them. Now, let's hide this first so that we could see the sheer properly. Let's highlight that. And I will remove these extra ships. Whenever you make something like this, you will end up with some extra shapes and you have to remove them. This is all right. Okay. So we messed up a little over here, but non-problem. The ship didn't come out, right. So I will simply zoom in over here. And with the data collection tool, I can click on it and I can move it like this. This is going to mess up the Sherpa Little Bird. You'll get the idea and we are just doing this for practice. So we have this basic shrapnel. Let me zoom out. So I have done this before and you can see that there are some extra, we have Stewart, It looks like feathers. So how did they do that? Basically, you can select one of the circles and copy them. Let's zoom in and put them over here like this. This seems alright. And release the bigger one, like the bigger one and bring it over here like this. You can arrange them using the arrow keys. And I guess this is all great. And let's do one over here like this. Now select all of these, like the builder tool and delete all of this and this. Let's come over here. Let's combine all of this. Let's combine this and all of this. And I guess restless, alright. Again, there are some extra shapes you can write, do remove them. But later on when you are making it from scratch, you can be more careful. But this is an extra ship lurched deleted and put this back over here. Alright. I due to a very sloppy job, but you get the idea. And basically I have discoloured over here for reference. And what I can do is select a shape, then press on the keyboard and click over here. I copied this color, like I slipped all of these, press ion the keyboard click over here. And look at this. How beautiful is this? I messed it up a little over here. So I can bring it over here and try to adjust it. It is a little weird from here. I can select it and maybe slept the move tool and try to adapt it a little. And I guess this is alright. Or let me put all of this overhear. Their spring it in the middle. Mirrors make it a little bigger. If you want, you can make a little eye over here to know I will select the ellipse tool. Let's zoom in and make this weight and put it over here. Rotated like this. And using the curvature tool, we can double click on this and this. And now we have a very sharp looking I. Basically, this is how you can make amazing logos using golden ratio, an illustrator. I hope you guys like this. See you guys in the next tutorial. 64. Compound Path & Its Uses: Hello everyone. Today we are going to learn about compound paths and all of its uses. And its first use is their ability to apply gradient across the whole compound part. So what is basically meant by data? So I have three polygons over here. And I have applied a gradient on all of them. So if I select all of them, and over here, if I go to object, come down over here, alerts come down. There is this compound part option. Let me click on it and click on Make. What just happened. Basically, all of these are acting as just one. So if I select one of them, obviously I can move all of them because they are also grouped. But if I click on the direct selection tool, and if I click on the anchor point of this one, I guess, and if I move it in, and let's put this one over here. And let's put this one over here. So what is happening over here? Basically the whole gradient is applied across all of this. They are acting as one. So I can click on this one direct selection tool and I can move it over here. Similarly over here. And you can see that they're all acting as one. And if I move one of them, let's just say there is also a thing called isolation mode in Illustrator. So if I double-click on anything, it becomes isolated. So I can select one of them and I can move them. And as you can see, as I move this away from the rest of them, you will see the gradient is also moving. I can click on this one. Since all of this is in isolation mode. And if I bring this one over here, since this is the middle, it is blue. And if I bring all of these over here, like this, and this one over here, for the center of all of this is this. And there it is via the blue is inside and the rest is magenta. Let me press Control or Command Z. Basically this is how you can use gradients on compound parts. If I want to move out of isolation mode, I have to double-click anywhere and I am out of it. No. Let me zoom out. Handlers come over here. So the huge number two of compound path is editable cutouts. So if I slipped all of this, then I select the shareholder dual. And if I click over here, and similarly over here, basically I have cut these out and I cannot edit them in any way possible. Let me put these back over here. So this is a squred over here. Similarly, this is another one. And if I select all of them, go to object compound part and make. We again have a cutout over here, but it is editable. What I mean by dead. So now if I click on this and if I click on the direct selection tool, I can click on the center over here. Sorry, let me click over here. And now if I click on the center over here, I can move this would basically this cutout is editable. I can click on this one, move it over here. And even if I click on all of it or do object, compound part, and click on release. Basically I have my shifts back. Their colors are changed. Let me change the color. But the shifts are still Lear. So basically using the compound parts, you can make editable cutouts. Let's zoom out. Let's come over here. So here is the US number three, which is outline texts, adults. Let me show you what I mean by dead. If I click on this text and if I make outlines out of it, if I press Control or Command Shift O. So basically this outline now. And if I select all of this right-click and my clipping mask, it becomes something like this. It is not making a clipping mask. Let me press Control or Command Z to basically undo it. Making the outline, I will click on it, then go to object component part and make. So basically this is a compound part. Now, let me click on the color. And now if I select all of this, then go to object, clipping mask or maybe just right-click and make Libin mask. So as you can see that we can edit outline text to null. So let me zoom out. And basically these were the three main uses, APA compound part. You might not understand it properly right now. But when you will start working with them, you will start to understand their use. I hope you guys are learning a lot. See you guys in the next tutorial. 65. Difference Between Raster & Vector: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn the difference between a vector and a raster. So this is the logo I made using the golden ratio. And there is a copy of it. But you might be able to see that this is a little different. Why is that? So let me delete it and let's make a copy of it. Basically, whenever you make something in Illustrator, it is in vector. But you can also rasterize it. So if I select all of this, then go to Effect and click on Rasterize. Simply hit OK. You don't have to know about the settings for now. Something changed over here. Let's zoom into C. So if I zoom in over here, you will see that everything is really smoothed over here, right? And left. A zoom-in over here. Now, you will see that everything is broken apart. It is not smooth. So a difference between a vector and a Russia is dead. A vector is a mathematical base calculation and a ship. While a raster only sees the pixel size. So if I use this one, if I make it extremely big or maybe extremely small, I can even use it on a billboard. But if I do the same for this one, it won't work the same. It will be extremely bloody. And it will have all of these rigid edges. And I won't be able to use it. So debt is by an illustrator. We never worked in rosters. We always use vectors. Let me delete this. Let me select this one. Let's make it smaller. This was actually a very beginner level, a clinician of raster versus vector. And I guess this is enough for you for now, but just remembered in Illustrator, you have to always work in vectors. I hope to see you guys in the next tutorial. 66. Difference Between RGB & CMYK: And our guys. So now we're going to learn about RGB versus CMYK. So you might have heard these terms, RGB and CMYK. So basically what are these? Well, again, I'm not going to give you a very high fire kind of explanation over here. I'm just going to tell you where to need to know for now. But whenever you are making a design for web, basically Facebook, Instagram, website or anything like that, which basically involves a screen. You design in RGB. And wherever you are making something which is going to be printed, like a t-shirt design, or a pamphlet, or a mug design or append design. You design it in CMYK. So if I come over here, you will see that the document says it is RGB. You can see if your file as in RGB or CMYK. Let me save it. I will go to File exporters sport as. And let's save it over here. Okay. After that I will go to file again. And over here I will set the document color more to CMYK. But something changed over here. You can see the colors are a little dull. Now, if I press Control or Command Z to undo it, you will see these colors. And if I redo it, you will see the dot and a doodle. So why is it so basically these are then CMYK, NO. And now if I go to File Export, Export as, let's give it a design file, design file one and hit export. Okay, and let's see the difference. So I have two files over here, but this was the original and this was the CMYK. And as you can clearly see that verb platforms or can Buddha platforms, can restraints, cannot support CMYK. You only use this footprint media. So in short, you are never supposed to use CMYK when you are making designed for web. Anything which involves a screen. And you always use CMYK when you are making print media. So I will simply deleted for norm because this has no use for me. So basically this is the difference between RGB and CMYK. We're right at the end of the course. See you guys in the next tutorial. 67. How To Get Templates For Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now I'm going to show you how you can get templates for illustrator. So since you saw the whole course and you have learned a lot, this is liquid Award for you. So as you can see that I have a design over here, which I didn't make myself. Okay. There's also a designer word here. I didn't make it either. But they are in front of me and I can read them and I can use them. Pretty of course. Well, how is that possible? The basically there are a lot of website which provide you illustrations. And one of them is free pick. So let me come over here. Let me write three.com. So basically on this website you can find vectors for free. If I scroll down over here, you can see a lot of factors over here. They are all vector, some of them are paid and some of them are free. But let us just say I want a design for Valentine's. I can simply open this. And over here I can download it and I can use it. You can use it for free, but there is a condition. You always have to attribute their creator. Here are all the details and you have to attribute decorator entry pig basically. So if I come over here, I have these two designs over here. And I already know how I can edit them. So let's just say I want to make all of these blue. I can select on this color. This is already honest separately, or how good is this? For the people who make designs for these flipside? They make sure that they are easier to use. So I can select this color and let's make it blue. Let's make the color of text Bluetooth. And just like debt, I have this amazing design. Similarly over here. And you can see that they are in CMYK. So you can do this on a t-shirt, but again, you can only use it if you have a license. Similarly over here, you have this design. You can use it for a very nice pamphlet. You can change the color if you want. So basically this is how you can download free templates for illustrator data, a lot of other websites to, you can simply search them up on Google. Just a few more dollars to go. And then we are done with the course. We'll see you guys in the next tutorial. 68. How To Export Files For Digital Use In Illustrator: Hello guys. So now we're going to learn how you can export files for digital use. So if you want to put your design on Instagram, Facebook, our website, or anything digital, basically, which involves a screen. You will export it in one of their digital formats. So what are they? Well, let me go over here and click on File and click on export and save as to overhear, you can use either JPEG, P&G, or even SVG. These are the three most common formats. But let's export in PNG. It export. Okay? If I come back over here, you will see that I have this logo. This badge basically, and it is without the background. So whenever you want something which is without the background, you export it in P&G. Let me close it. Let's come back over here. Basically, this is how you can export files for digital use. We are just about to wrap up the course. See you guys in the next tutorial. 69. How To Export Files For Print In Illustrator: Welcome back guys. So now we're going to learn how you can export files footprinting. Basically, I have this bag over here, which we made in one of the peevish tutorials. And let's just say I want to use it on a t-shirt. So how I can do it, if I go to pile over here and export and export as. And if this isn't CMYK, First of all, I will have to convert it into CMYK. And now if I go to File Export, Save As, and export as JPEG over here, you know, it is going to be ruined. Let me open it up over here. This is the one and you can see that it is completely ruined. Let me delete it. I have also see written RGB destine case. But let me come back over here. So whenever you are exporting files for printing, first you have to go to file. And instead of export as, you will go to Save As. And there are a lot of options over here. So the file which you will give to the printing company debt would be either a PDF or EPS. But the most common one is PDF. So you can select this one, then click on save. There are a lot of other options over here. Again, you don't need to know about them for now, click on save PDF. And let's come over here. And now if I click over here, you can see, even though it isn't CMYK, I can even see the design properly and they're printing happening and also printed easily. So again, if you want to give something for printing, always go to File, Save As, and either give them a PDF or EPS. I would recommend there to give them all three of these littered cancel. But this is how you can export files footprinting in Illustrator. See you guys in the next tutorial.
