2. 06 SEO Basics: Alright, so let's get
to the SEO basics. Come here, open this page, click on as your basics and under next part,
on the next page. I have written down 13
easy rules about SEO. There were simple, you can
just learn them quickly. But anyway, here
are the 13 rules. But before we begin
with the rules, we need to make
some preparation, especially if you are
going to use WordPress. We need a plugin to be
able to work on the SEO. Now, for those of you who
are not using WordPress, for example, you may use Vicks. I have lots of
different students that use different platforms. They use Squarespace
or even HTML5. So what you can do to know where you can make
some changes for SEO, all you have to do is to
just go on Google how to edit SEO setting on v6, for example, it will
tell you the steps. Or for example, how to edit
SEO settings for squares, Squarespace page, web page. It will tell you the settings and what we're looking for here is the places that
we can add keywords. Let's come down page title, URL, which is the prime
link, or a meta-description. We need a place to
add this information. Our main focus here
is to learn more about WordPress and how we
can do it on WordPress. But the structure that
I'm going to tell you and these 13 rules, you can apply them on all
other platform for k, whatever you are
using out there. The first thing that you should do if you are using WordPress is to install the
Rank Math plugin. And all you have
to do is to go to the WordPress dashboard as
I put down the images here, go to plug-ins,
search for Rank Math. And you will see something
like this by Rank Math. And click on Install and then make sure to
activate the plugin. When you activate the plugin, as you can see on the left side, let me see if I can
make it bigger. As you can see on the left side, the Rank Math will be added. And there are lots of
different settings here, but we don't need
them right now. What will happen after
unit slow Rank Math? On the page setting? This is the SEO
basics for beginners. The page that we are
in right now here. So it is a settings
of this page. So the Edit part. And when you come down afternoon and slow
Rank Math plugin, this section will be
added Rank Math SEO, which under it we
have general tab and Mann's schema and social. As you can see,
there are lots of different keyboards that
I'm trying to rank in, but all of them are
green and I got the scored 96 out of 100. But I will tell you
what you can do, what you must do to get
the same result, okay? We have a preview of what our web page may look on Google
or other search engines. And under it we have
some suggestions which some of these suggestions
include in these 13 rules, which we'll get to
them in a moment. Okay, so right now, pause the video and go to
your WordPress Dashboard. Let me just switch the
screen, pause the video. Go to your WordPress dashboard. Go to Plugins. Go to Add New in the
search bar, right down, Rank Math in a solid activated, and create a page. Or if you have a page, go to the edit
part of that page. And let's prepare everything for the next part where we are
going to talk about keyboard, what is it, what is
the focus keyword? And how we should do
a keyword search. So I tried to make it
short and to the point. So you have the best
learning experience. So let's go for the next part.
3. Keyword Research: So the first rule
that we need to learn is connected to focus keyword and how we can do a
successful keyword research. So let's learn more about it. Here we are on our documents. And after you install the
plug-in on your WordPress, or if you're using other
platforms like Wix, squarespace or HTML file, when you learn how you
can add the keywords your file or how
to add the title. Stay there and let's learn
more about the structure. So here it is, the
focus keyword. First of all, if you don't
know what is keyword, again, I have written it
down for you here, keyboard, and here
is the description. It is called to award
or group of words that a user rights in search
engine to look for a topic. So now that we know
what is keyword, we need to make a research to find the best possible
choice for our webpage. Now, it is not so easy
to just start a website. And I want to rank
in this keyword, for example, SCO course
or SEO training. And I want to get to the first page is
going to tell me 13 rules and I'm going
to use this 13 rule two. And finally, after these rules, I will get to the first page. That's not that's
not how it works. There are a lot of different
factors that matters. But one of them is the traffic. If your website is new, it means that you
have low traffic. When you have low traffic, it is harder to rank higher for keywords that are
competitive game. For example, if I
come here on Google than just search
for something and SEO, for example, basics. If I come here and
search for SEO basics, as you can see, there are
different ads for it. K12, there are lots of
different ads for it. And you see, for example,
in United States, the Muslim, they estimators search volume monthly
is 1600 times. Okay? Now I will tell you how
you can get these numbers. But if the keyword, the keyword itself,
it is competitive. It is way more difficult
for you to ranking based on the stage that you're in right now, your website, the traffic that you have, you should select
the easy keywords or phrases to Rankin to
make your work much easier. For example, instead
of going after. For example, if I write now
just insulin for SEO search. As your basic search for SEO, you see the number is 135 thousand searches
only on United States. Meaning, if I want
to rank for SEO, it's way more difficult
comparing two as your basics. So I targeted as your basics, which is much easier for me. Now we need to, I want to teach you how you
can do this keyword research faster to find the best
possible choices. To do that. There are different tools
that I have suggested here. Keyword Planner, which is
a tool for Google ads. It is completely free. Key search, which is paid. And keyword surfer extension. This is also free keyword
surfer extension. It was this tool that
I just showed you. And on the right side
there are lots of other things which we'll
get to it in a moment. So the first one is it Keyword
Planner, which is free. All you need to do is
to just come here, click on Keyword Planner. It will take you to the
keyword planner page. And click on this button here, go to Keyword Planner. Then it will ask, if you don't have a
Google Ad account, you must create a
Google Ad account. It is completely free. I'm not sure how
it is right now, but after some time, google force people to create an ad when they
create a Google Ad account. So if you're trying to create
your Google Ads account, and Google is telling
you okay, to do that, you must create an add and add your credit
card, for example. It's okay, you can do it. But after we created your ad, you can turn off or remove
your ad from your account. This way. First of all, it takes
time for Google or other platform like Facebook to review your ad and
make it active. So you won't be charged. But anyway, you get
your account running and you will have access
to Keyword Planner. So when you created your
menu, created your account. Come to Keyword Planner. You can have access to it
from the tools as well. Keyword Planner. I have written down all of the information here
we come to the Tools, then click on discovering new keywords as we have it here, discovering
new keywords. And when I click on
it, it will ask me to write down the keywords
that I have in my mind. Okay, So for
example, SEO basics. This is one of the key words and you can separate them with pressing comma k and whatever. It's now a CEO
signing for example, SCO course k and so on. I can write down different
examples and also make sure to select
the right location. Right now it is in Armenia. I can change it, for example, to United States. Save it. And that would be all. Then click on Get Results. And on the next page there are a couple of things
that matters most. For example, I've searched
for as your basics, it will tell me that. What is the average monthly
search, for example, for SEO basis basics, it is 1 thousand to 10 thousand, but the competition, It's low. So I have a chance here, right? But here, for example,
on SEO training, it has a little bit
more difficult, but it has more or
less the same traffic. So let's go back and try again. This time I'm going to write
down, for example, SEO, SEO itself, and let's
run and see the result. It also, when you search
for one or less keywords, it gives you more idea. For example, for
SEO, the average, the average monthly searches is 100 thousand to
1 million searches. But one thing you need
to pay attention. Most people don't say this
here on the competition. As you can see
here, you may say, Okay, this is very
competitive, but it is low. It is difficult ranking. Remember that this
is Google ads. And the competition here is
for getting the ads, okay? So for example,
when we are here, you see there is no edge here. If I want to run
ads on SEO keyword, easily can get the first
place at the top here. The competition for
us is not much, but what we need is not the
competition to run ads, but the competition to get
higher in the search engine to drive organic traffic. How we can understand that? Well, when the estimator
search volume is high, it is more likely that
it would be difficult. But there are some other tools that can help you
figure that out. For example, here. Here we have key
search, which is paid. It's the same tool.
This is the tool. And for example, here, if I wrote down SEO to
search for this keyboard, you can see here it is giving me the volume and the score. Now, this difficulty is to getting high in
the search engine, the search page,
okay, so this is 68. For example, there are
some other SEO consultant. It is much easier, for example, it is 39, components is 68 for me, if I want to rank in a keyword, I would select SEO consultant, which also the traffic
is good, 27 thousand, but it is much easier
compared to SEO itself, okay? So this way more or
less you can understand on which keywords
you can Rankin. Alright, also on the
left side we have some additional
information which we will not talk
about it right now, because I don't want
to make you confused. All you need to learn right now is to select keywords that have high volume search
but low competition. Now, on Keyword Planner, we cannot use the
competition part. We cannot understand if
a keyword is competitive to rank in organically, but we can find out
about the traffic. You can use some other tools. There are SEM rush. There are lots of other
tools that you can use to understand to do
the keyword research. But I prefer this one. He searched. It is as I said, it has paid, but you can use
it for one month for free. Okay? So all you can do right now, you can just join this tool, create an account, and start using it to do a good analysis. There is another tool which is free keyword server extension. Just come here and click on it. It's a Chrome extension. Come here and just
click and install. It's from surfer,
keyword surfer tool, but it's just a free
extension and you can use it. It gives you some additional information when you install it, you will see the search
volume and how much. Approximately it will cost to
run an ad on this keyword. Under there are lots
of other stuff. For example, some keyword ideas, you can get some
inspiration that alright, maybe I should go
for, for example, YouTube SEO, full form
SEO, Google YouTube. There are other suggestions
here that you can use. There's another tool
which gives you some, which gives you some other
ideas to select keywords. Keywords, keywords everywhere. It's again a Chrome
extension just right down here in
Google, right down. Keyword. I think Keywords
Everywhere it was. Yeah. Here it is, the Chrome extension
and just install it. It is a paid tool. When you pay for it, it'll give you more information. But the information
that you see here, these are all free because
they didn't pay for it. You see, for example, when I
searched, for example, for, let's say keywords, let's see what suggestions it has for me. For example, keywords meaning keyboard generator,
Google keyboards. So it gives you some idea for what keywords
you can rank in. And also here at the bottom
of the search page on Google. Google search will give you some other ideas to
select Keyboard. This was the first step. To do the keyword research. You can select some of
these keyboards that you have a better
chance to ranking. Then let's come down
and see what we have. Here. We have some explanation
about the Keyword Planner, about the key search. Also, you can come here, click and visit the tool
here and see the key search. And that would be all
when you figure it out, the keywords that
you want to rank in. The next step is to write them in the focus
keyword section. So here I am in the edit post edit page of my
WordPress dashboard. And this is the part that I
can write the focus keywords. So you see we have SEO basics
as your basis for beginner. 13 is your basic rules. On-page SEO, web pages, SEO, keyword research,
organic traffic. So all the topics that I have
talked about in this page, I've put them here, so I have a chance to ranking. So that was all
for the first row. And the next part we're going
to talk about the title. So what I want you to do as a practice right
now before we go to the next part is to take a look at the
tools we talked about. Two of them are free and
you can use them right now. And let's think about
a topic, for example, let's whatever you like, whatever you have in your mind. I want us some
t-shirts and let's make a research about t-shirt. Let's find out what
keywords I can use, how much is the traffic. So sometimes people
try to rank for keywords that have very
low amount of traffic. You may rank first, but there's no traffic. And they wonder
why their website, even though that they are
ranking high for some keywords, they are not receiving
a lot of traffic. That the reason is
because they're ranking for low traffic keyboards. So the key is, keyword
research is very important. Just play with the stuff
that we talked about. This way it will
sit in your mind much better and you will be
prepared for the next part.
4. Page Title: Alright, now that we have learned how to do a
keyword research, and we have selected our
keywords for our page. It's time to go
to the next step, which is about a page title. So here we are on our documents. Number two is the page
title and its rules. First of all, where you
can add the page title. Here we are in the edit
page part, as you can see. And if we go up here
at the beginning, we can add the page title. Here is the page title. And what are the rules that we need to pay
attention and follow a sub one is that our page title must include our focus keyword. Now there's one
other thing here. As you can see, we have a lot of different
keywords here, right? So when we're talking
about the focus keyword, we are talking about
the first one, which is the most important one, the one that you really
want to rank in. But yeah, we add others other keywords to our page so we can rank in
other keywords. But for the first one, there are a lot of
different other rules that we need to follow, right? That's why when we are
talking about focus keyword, we're talking about
the first one because the rules that
you need to follow for the first one is a little bit different comparing
to the others. So the page title must
include the focus keyword. As an example, let's say if our focus keyword is SEO basics, which is in this page
title will be SEO basics. For beginner. We have the SEO
basics in the title. Now, step two is that
the focus keyword must be in the first four
words of your page title. Now, first four or five board. I put four to be sure but
don't cross the fifth for the bad examples that 13 easy rules for on-page SEO and SEO
basics for beginner, which you can see it's
at the end of our title. But here in a good example,
it says at the beginning, SEO basics for beginners, 13 easy rules for on-page SEO. Now, the third step is to
increase the readability. How we can do that, to improve the readability. Off your page title, it is better to use a number and empower board in
your title as well. So as you can see here, for example, we have 13. Now I put this 13 for a reason. One of them was this. Even though that we have 13
rules to follow for SEO here, and this is your basic part. But putting mentioning it in the title was to increase
the readability. Also, it is more attractive
for people that alright, oh, there's only certain rules that I need to learn, right? So it's more clear
for people with that, what we are going to offer. Beside that, we
need a Power Award. Now, you can read more
about power boards. Here. You can just click on it. It will go to the Rank Math blog and they explained very well. But the power of
words or the one that brings some emotion, or they're defining something. For example, here we
have easy rules, okay? Seo basics. The basic, easy. These are the power board
and you can think about it, for example, five
important tips. The important is the Powerball. A lot of power wars out
there that you can use. All you need to do
is to take a look at this blog post to learn
more about what they are. So that was all about
the page title. Let's have a quick summary. All you need to do is to include the focus
keyword in the title. The focus keyword must be
at the beginning and try to use a number and
a power or decay. That's all you need
to do. Come here. And I did part of your posts or your page right here at the top k. That's all you need to do. On the next part, we're
going to talk about the URL, the link of your page,
what you should do, and where you can write or edit this URL. Let's go
for the next one.
5. URL: The next one, URL or permalink. So how you should, first of all, vary the place that you can edit the URL of your web page, and also what rules
you need to follow. Here we are in our document. So the first thing that I
need to mention is that try not to pass the 75 character. Yeah, you can go
further than that. But in order to
be better at SEO, do not cross that 75 characters. Now, you need to mention the focus keyword in our case
as your basics in your URL. So the best example is, for example, SEO for beginners. The good one is SEO
basics for beginner. And remember that you cannot
use the space in your URL. Instead of a space, you must use a dash, as you can see here, right? And the place that you
can edit the URL is here. You see permalink,
and here it is. For example, in my case, my domain name polarity.com. The part that I can edit is the rest of it is your
basics for beginners. This is a place that
you can edit your URL. But one thing when
you come down here, we see under Rank Math, we see the way our page may
look on search engines. If you click here or
click on Edit snippet, a pop-up will appear. Now here you see title,
permalink and description. Now you see here it is
written title, SAP site name. Okay, So the way my website
will look like on Google, it will write down the name. Now, it's a little
bit long the title, but at the end of it, it will write down the name
of my website as well. With the separation,
then my website name. You can change that as well. If you don't want to have your website name at the end of your page title on
search engines like Google, the place that you must
edit them is here. Also for the link. You can edit it
from here as well. You can see the 75
characters here too. So that was all about the URL. Under next part, we're going to talk about the description.
6. Meta Description: The rule number four on our SEO basics is the
Meta Description. Now the meta-description is
an additional information about your webpage that will
be visible uncertainties. So let's take a look at it. Here we are on our documents. And let's go to the edit
part of our webpage. Under our page title, there is a short description. Now you have seen it a lot on, for example, on Google. Here we have the page
title and underneath we have the description, as you can see here. This is the description.
This is the description. Now why do we need to
have a description? First of all, it will provide more information to the visitors that what this page is about. For example, here we have
searched about keywords. And the first page here is that choose the right keywords with our research tool now, okay, What is your
research tool? If I want to have
more information, I can read more about it. Our keyword research tool gives
you insight into half and certain boards are
searched and how those searches have
changed over time. Okay. So this is a
complete description that what these
two-level is about, what this page is about, and what more or less, what am I going
to get out of it? So when you are wanting to
write your description, your meta-description,
first of all, the place that you should
write it is to come here, either click This
part or edit snippet. At the bottom of
the pop-up page, you can see it is
written description. You can see the number of maximum number of characters that you can use, which is 160. As you can see. The first important
thing that you should do when you are writing
the description is to use the focus keyword. In our case, it is your basics. So we have 13 rules of
SEO basics for beginners to improve on page
SEO of your website. Now I can add more information
so people more or less can understand what they are going to get out
of this web page. So I'm going to write down, okay, As you can see, I added these certain rules will improve the ranking of your
page on Google. Okay, so what are these
certain rules about it? It will help me to
rank higher on Google. So I'm more or less giving
the audience a reverse that, alright, if you come here, if you visit this page and read more about it and
learn these things, you can rank higher in. You can rank higher
on Google, okay, so try to give them a reason why they
should visit your page. This is another thing
that you need to have. Another step that you
need to follow when you're writing it
in the description. So to summarize it, the first important thing is
to use the focus keyword. Then provide more information
in a short way and also provide a reason why people should click on your
link and visit your page. Okay, so that was all till now. On the next part we are going
to have a quick assignment together so we can practice
and get better at this stuff.
7. Assignment question: Welcome to the first assignment
on our SEO training. Now in this part,
I want you to get better at this stuff that we learned until now
in this assignment, I will give you a focus keyword. And based on that focus keyword, you must write a title. Page title must then
you must write a URL, and finally, a meta-description. Now of course, for every
single one of you, it will be different. But you can practice. And by the end of
the assignment, I will show you the example that I wrote myself for
this focus keyword. So you can compare and
see where you could improve your example or
if you did a great job. So the focus keyword
is water filters. The water filters are these. And let's say you
want to write the, you want to build a webpage
about water filters. You have five water
filters to sell. Either if you are
selling it yourself or you are just referring
other products. And you want to talk about the five water filters
on your web-page. Use the focus keyword
water filters to complete the page title, URL, and meta-description,
but pay attention, the focus keyword
is water filters, as you can see on the screen. So let's get started.
8. Assignment answer: Alright, so I hope
you have completed the assignment and let's
take a look at my answer and let's talk about the
important tips in this practice. So I'm going to write
my examples here. So the title that
I'm going to write, the first thing that I must follow is to use
the focus keyword. So I'm going to write five
best water filters to buy. Hello, I think I need
to capitalize, right? So five best water filters
to buy for your home. Now, the thing is that
here we have a number, we have the focus keyword
and our focus keyword are in the first four words
of our page title. Also, we are providing
more information. You can buy this water
filter for your home. Again, these are the
five top water filters. Now, let's talk about the URL. So the URL, we must of course
use the water filters. But if I want to add
another word to it, I'm going to use the
word test as well. So best water, I'm
sorry, filters. So you see there
is no space here. And also I wrote down all of
it with the short letters, not capital letters,
but here in the title, the first letter of every word, except to easily ten
with capital letter. So these are some side
notes that he can fall. Now let's talk about
the description. Remember that we must use
the focus keyword and also we should give a reason, okay, provide more
information and also why people should click
on this web page, right? So let's write, alright, so I wrote down, learn more about the five
deaths water filters that gives you the best taste
and healthier water. So in general, this part is
the reason the last part, first of all, we have
the water filters as our focus keyword. But the last part is
the reason that gives you the best taste
and healthier water. So the thing is that when
people buy a water filter, what is the reward here? Which are what are
trying to get out of it? They're trying to
get a good taste of water and also a healthy water. So these are the two
things that I pointed out. Now, when you're writing a meta-description for any
other kind of products, you must know what
are the reverse here, why people are looking
for this tool, this product or service,
or whatever it is. Okay, so that was our first
assignment on our SEO basics. On the next part, we will continue with the
rest of the rules, which I think the next one will be keyword in ten per cent.
9. Keyword in 10%: The rule number five, It's very simple but effective on SEO. So the title is keyword
in the ten per cent, when you're writing the
content of your page, you must make sure to
use the focus keyword in the first ten per
cent of your content. Meaning, if you
have, for example, 1 thousand words on your page, the focus keyword must be
in the first 100 words. If you mentioned the focus
keyword, after that, you will have lower chance
rank in that keyword. And the reason is
that search engines, we will analyze your webpage. And if they don't see the focus keyword right
at the beginning, they think, okay, it's not maybe connected or maybe this
page is not very good. So we show it to our audience. That's why it is very
important to put it at the first ten per
cent of your content.
10. 600 Words: The next rule to follow
is to write at least, at least 600 words on your page. The reason is because
you must have enough content to
provide to the audience, okay, less than 600 words. Search engines will not look
at it as a complete content. So that's why you must at
least cross that number. But if you look at the
pages on the surf, the web sites on the surface, and the SERP for those of you
who don't know is the short for search engine results page, the first page, for example
here, this is the setup. When you look at some of
these pages that they are ranking high in
their own keywords. You may find that, right. They wrote more than 600 words. In some cases two thousand, four thousand, ten
thousand words. If you want to compete with
them or even rank higher, you can write more, but the minimum number is 600. Okay, so let's go
for the next part.
11. Headings: Alright, in this
part we're going to talk about headlines. Now, this is a little
bit important, so pay more attention. When we're building
our web-page. We can use different headlines
with different sizes. Now the headlines as
far from H1 to H6. So to learn more about the
sizes and the differences, you can come here, click
on headlines sizes. And here I have explained
everything about headlines. And here you can see the
difference between H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, and H6. You see it gets smaller, but it's not just
about the size. The code is different. So when search engines
look at your webpage, when they see H1, they think that alright, this is very important. When they CH4, they see that
they think that, alright, this is not that important, but it is more important
comparing to a paragraph, right? So to see that better, here there is a Chrome
extension SEO metadata. In one click. You can just click on it in a
solid on your Chrome, you will see this
icon at the top. Just click on it. And when
you click on this icon, a pop-up will appear and it will analyze the pages
that you are in. For example, here in this case, it is telling me that my
title is 68 characters, the description
is 80 characters. The keyword, while
the keyword exists, but the tool is not finding it and there are
soft information. For example, I have
only one, H1, H2, H3, H3, H4, H5, and H6 j. If you want to go deeper, you can come here to header. And you see these
are the headlines, the headings that I have. And this is the
part that matters. It's not just about the size, it's these tags that Google or other search engines
will find them. So when they see that,
alright, here it is H1. So this must be very important. When they say, Okay, this is H2, it is important, but it will be less
important comparing to one. Now the thing that you
must pay attention is that every page must have
only and only one H1, not 0, not 21 H1. The thing that the rule
that we have here right now is that you must use the focus keyword at
least one time in H2 to h six in one
of them, not in all. For example, here
we have SEO basics. If I take a look at
the headlines that we have, somewhere from H22, h five, I can find
a super basics, as you can see here on H12, I have SEO basics, okay? So you just need to use it once on x2 up to H6, only once, not one in a one-to-one
in H3 and H4, only one in any one off these headlines that
you prefer, okay, So to summarize it, you must have only one edge, one in every page. And you must use
the focus keyword in headings from
edge to edge six.
12. Alt text: The next rule, which
is rule number eight, it is alt texts. So first of all, what
is alt text? Now? All it takes is a short
form of alternative texts. And we use this
takes for images. It's somehow explain what
this image is about. Okay? So here we have a lot of images. We have lots of images. And each of these images have a specific text that explain
what this image is about. So if I come here on this, the tool that we downloaded
on the Chrome extension, SEO metal in one-click. And if I click on it, here we have images. If I come down, for example, this one, you see, you can see the
images itself and under it you can
see the alt text. For example, this one. It was about the snippet, how to write the description
and the alt-text is saying description a snippet on
Rank Math for a sub basics. Now the important
thing is that all of your images on your webpage
must have alt text. Search engines. They won't see what
is inside your image, but they pay attention to the alt text,
whatever you writer. If I write down this
as, for example, wedding cake, search engines will think that this
is a wedding cake. Now they're more
smarter than that. But I'm trying to
make it simple. If I write down it as a red car, may think that this image
is about the red car. But when I write down, this is the description
and snippet on Rank Math, SEO basics. Google will understand
that this image is about SEO and
Rank Math and etc. So all of your images
must have alt texts. But beside that, you must
at least have one image on your webpage with the focus
keyword in the alt text. Here, as you can see, I have a SEO basics. So that's the rule that
you need to follow. Use the focus keyword in at least one image on your
page in the alt text. So that was all about
this part already. Let's go for rule number nine.
13. Keyword density: This rule is keyword density. How many times we
should use the keyword, the focus keyword, or other
keywords in our contents. So the thing is that there
is no exact number for this. But based on my
experience and based on the suggestions of SEO tools, it's usually something
between one to 2.5%. So when we come here, I'm under Edit page. So all of these
are our keyboard. So if I use, for example, two of these, two of these and two of these, it will all count as a keyword, meaning I have used the
focus keyword in my content, for example, six times, but not the first 12 times from the first 12 times around the second 12 times
from the third one. Now the thing is that
year when you're writing, when you're building your
web page, rank mass itself, it will suggest to
you what you should do or how it is
going on right now, for example, here
on the additional, the third one is
keyword density j. Right now for this
page, it is 2.44. The focus keyword and
combination appears 41 times how many
words they have. 1683. So this is okay. The reason that
we're talking about the keyword density is
because if you use a lot, search engines don't like it. They think that alright,
you're pushing it. And you are just trying to
tell them that, alright, this website is about this keyword and
they don't like it. So it should be between a
number that sound reasonable. Good content is not just about repeating
the same keyword, but Providing or delivering
value to the customer, right? So this is what search
engines trying to get out of your content when you don't use the
focus keyword and the combinations
more than 2.5, 2%. They think that alright,
this is normal. But more than that, for example, you have 100 words and you use the focus
keyword ten times, so that is ten per cent, right? So search engines will say that, alright, you're just pushing it. This is probably not
a good contents, so we will not show
it to our audience. So as I said, there is not
an exact number for this, but this is what Rank
Math is suggesting. And another thing
that you can do, you can analyze the top pages in syrup search
engine results page. We can analyze them
and say for example, let's go back here. On this page, you can analyse
the first page and see that how many times they
have used the keyword, how many words they have, okay, you can analyze
them or you can use the tools like surfer SEO. They will do this for you. Alright, so that was all
about the keyword density. If you're ready, let's
go for the next row.
14. External links: Rule number ten, external
do follow links. Now, every page that you
create on your website must have one external links, which is do follow. Let's go deeper and let's
see what is, first of all, what is external link and then what do we
mean by do follow? So external links are the links on your webpage
toward other websites. For example, here
we have a link, but it is not external. It is internal rate, which we will talk about
it in the next part. But this one here, Google. If you pay attention to
the bottom of the screen, it will direct us to google.com from my website
to another website. This link here is
called external links. Now, what do we
mean by do follow? Links have a setting that it is called do follow or not follow. Generally it is for search engines when they
analyze your website. If your links are on, do follow. It means they can track traffic from your webpage
to other websites. And they consider this as a
credit for the other website. Meaning if you put an external do follow a link
on your webpage, it will be considered, search engines will
consider it as a credit as a good point
for the other side. Okay? So later we will talk about, later we will go
deeper into this and link building section. But right now, I just want you to have an idea what it is. So here I explained, you can come here and
click on do follow. And when you create a
link to another website, which will be external links, search engines will follow
those links and it will be considered as inbound or
backlinks for the other website. Unless when you create the link market as
nofollow in the settings. So let me show you
what does this mean. I'm in the edit part, in the element or the edit part of this page is super basics. Here we have a text which
includes two links, legs. Let's take a look
at the first one, for example, this one. If I select it and
click on Edit. Here there is a setting. Now this settings, this setting exists
on other platforms. It may look different, but you can find setting settings for links
on all other platforms. So I'm going to click on it
and here you see there is an option and rail
equal to nofollow. It means that if I turn this on, search engines will not consider this as a credit for
another website. Search engines will stop
following j to be precise, they will stop following that. Alright, there's a link
here to another website, but we're not going
to look into it. But if I let it be, normally it is undo follow. Unless you mark this. Or if it is a code, you add this to your code. Address equals nofollow. If you add this to your
code or if it turn it on in the option in the
settings of your link, search engines will
stop following. Now the thing is that when
you are creating a web page, you must have at least
11 external link, which is do follow. Meaning you must have a link to another website,
give them a credit. Doing this has a positive
effect on your webpage. Seo, ranking higher.
15. Internal links: The next rule is about internal links and
why it matters a lot. So let's first of all, I pointed out in the previous part That's what internal links,
but let's go deeper. Internal links are the
links that they exist on your webpage and they
drive traffic from your page to another
page on your website. For example, here,
as you can see, I have the word
internal links is linking to another article on my own website about
internal links. So if I open it, it will open my website. It's another page. So I'm driving traffic from this page on my own website
to another web page. So here it is. And all of these links
on the right side, as you can see, these
are all internal links. It is happening
inside my website. Now why they matter so much? First of all, when
you have a lot of internal links
inside a web page, which those links are connected to the
topic that you have. For example, here on this page I'm talking
about SEO basics. And here we have internal links, bounce rate, external link to follow and stuff
like that, headings. So all of these topics are
connected to this topic. Somehow we can say all of these pages are
giving more credit to, credit, this one to SEO basics. And they will help to push
this page to rank higher. And also search
engines like Google, they will consider that a
good thing that, alright, this website is
really talking about SEO and really providing value. They're delivering
value to people. So let's bring them
higher in assertions of. The great example about
internal links is Wikipedia. Now, let's take a look at here. This is the Wikipedia
page about internal link. And you have seen it a lot, that they have a lot of
different internal links. And you see it's a short page, couple of paragraphs, but they have a lot of internal links. Let's take a look at
how many internal links they have here. Become on links, and they
have 85 internal links. Okay, now let's take a look
at the page that we are in, SEO basics here. And links. On this page, I have
211 internal links. 211 links that are connected to my to other other pages
on my own website. Again, this is creating value. This is creating credit
for this space j. So this is really useful,
really effective. And you can follow
this strategy. You can create different
pages connected to your page. Later we have a lecture, which the name is
topic relevancy. I think during the next 1015
lectures, we will get to it. We will talk just about this and how effective this can be. For your pages rank
higher in Google.
16. First time to use focus keyword: Rule number 12, the first
time to use focus keyword. Let's take a look at the
page that we have here. The edit park. You see I have different
keywords here right? Now, for example, the main
one here is as your basis. If I have another page with
the same keyword SEO basics, it means that I use this keyword to times
on my website with two different pages
and trying to rank for this this keyword. This is not a good thing, this is a bad thing. It, this will hurt your
ranking on search engines. So you must always make sure that every keyword that
you use on your web page, it is only used once. If you, you can use
it several times, but it will decrease your
chance in ranking higher. So if you use, for example, if you are using WordPress
and using Rank Math, Solve, it will tell you that if you use this keyword before or not, we can come here under
additional part. As you can see, the last
item is that you haven't used this focus keyword before. When we say focus keyword, we are talking about
the first keyword of course k. So I haven't used the SEO basics keyword anywhere else
on my website before. This is a good thing. This will help me rank
higher in search engine. So do not forget to check it. Make sure it is your first time to use
that focus keyboard.
17. Short paragraphs: The last rule on SEO basics
is short paragraphs. Now, this has different effects. It has a similar effect, but it also have some readability effect
on your audience. So let's say you as
an audience come to my web page and instead of
this three-line paragraph, I write down 1020 lines. It's something huge. Now the first thing
that happens as an audience, people
stop reading. Why should they read
this line paragraph? If you pay attention, all of my texts here are very short. All of the paragraphs
I just write down maximum four lines more
than that. I don't write. The first reason is that when it gets long, people stop reading. And when people stop reading, they will close your pace. So you will have lower
session time, okay? Session time is called to the time that people
come to your website. They are there, for example, for a couple of minutes
on your webpage and then they close it
or they leave it j. So when you have
shorter session time, it considered as a
negative thing for SEO. If you have longer session time, search engines will
evaluate more, so you will have
higher chance to rank In the keywords
that you want ranking. So the suggestion that
I have for you is to try to minimize your paragraphs, remove the useless more, to remove the useless topics that people don't care about. Sometimes we are writing and we just started speaking about different things that we only care if people don't care
about it and it's smallest, useless, they don't read it. Okay? Sometimes we start
talking about ourselves that no one even care
to read about it. So generally try to keep
your paragraphs short. It will help you to rank higher.
18. The Voice Search: Alright, so we have
completed the first part, the first chapter of
this SEO training. On this section,
on this chapter, we will go little
bit deeper into some advanced stuff
about SEO learning. Couple of tools or more
powerful keeps about SEL. So let's take a look at them. Here we are in our documents and we are done with SEO basics. And right now, you are
here pro on-page SEO. Let's take a look at it. So this chapter, we're going to talk about
three important tips, or three important, I
can say, field of SEO. The first one is
the voice search, which matters a lot
as we go forward. The next one is LSI keywords, which we'll talk about
it on the next lecture. And finally, the server SEO
and what it has to offer. We will talk about
all the tools, all the features that
exist on this platform. So if you're ready, let's
talk about the voice search. Now the thing is that
as we go forward, people tend to use the
voice search more and more. But here there is a difference
in using keyboards. For example, let's say if
I want to search for good, for good fast foods
and Los Angeles, when I'm using my
computer or my phone, what would I write comparing to? What I want to search for? The same thing when I'm using
a voice, the voice search. So let's take a
look at an example. Here is the writing version, best fast foods in
Los Angeles again, so we're on your computer
or on your phone. You want to know
what are the list of top faster than Los
Angeles or any other city? You just write it down. This, blah, blah. But when we're using
the voice search, it's completely another story. Now here, the keywords will
be more like a conversation. And when you think about this, before you build your page and plan for these
keywords as well, key phrases as well. In the future. As we go forward, you will have higher chance to grab more attention to
drive more traffic. So the voice search, it can be something like this. What are the best fast
foods in Los Angeles? So it's more like
a conversation, more like a complete question. The thing that matters here when you are building your page, you must think about these
kind of key phrases. So how we can benefit from this? When you're building
your web page, you must try to use
these kind of phrases or questions or keywords
in your webpage. Now here, for this question, what are the best fast
foods in Los Angeles? You can have it as a question, as a heading, right? For example, heading
for or heading three. Boom, right in your page, what are the best fast foods
and Los Angeles, right? So this way when someone
says for the same question, using voice search, you
will have a higher chance. Now of course, you can have the normal key phrases
as we had before, but you can think about
the voice search as well. Plan for it and have
it in your page. A structure. That was all for this part. The next part we are
going to talk about LSI keywords which are very
important and effective.
19. The LSI Keyword: The next thing that we
are going to learn on the advanced SEO chapter
is the LSI keywords. Let's take a look at it. So here we are on our documents. And LSI keyword is
called to the words or phrases which have a connection
to the focus keyword. For example, if our page focus
keyword is electric car, then we can consider the
list below as LSI keywords. So generally we have, let's say a focus
keyword, focus, key phrase, and there will be some keywords are some
phrases connected to this. Let's take a look at
the example here. Electric car is
our focus keyword. Now the LSI keywords
can be tire, range, battery,
combustion engine, green energy, and so on. Now what I'm going with this, why LSI keywords matter? When you are talking about
the topic, for example, electric cars on your webpage, you must sound where Tom mentioned these
LSI keywords, right? Because you are talking
about, for example, electric cars, the
battery matter, right? At some point, maybe you point out to combustion engine, right? The range that the car
can go from matter. Okay? So these are the
things that matter and are very important to
the focus keyword. This way, when you use
the LSI keywords on your I'm article or
blog or whatever it is. Search engines like Google will more or less
understand that, alright, You're on the right
path to deliver value to the audiences, right? So let's show this web
page in a higher rank. This is why it matters. So every time that you want to talk about
something, for example, here we have, let's say,
SEO training, right? So what will be there? Lsi keywords so that you can pause the video, think about it, and then we can continue
and take a look at what can be the LSI keywords for
the keyword SEO training. Alright, so I assume you
have paused the video and let's go further
and find out. So here there is a tool. I have mentioned this
key search tool before. I told you it is paid. But the thing is
that research has another what can I say? Its side tool, that it
is free and you can use it to find LSI keywords. And you can come
here and click on this link LSI
keywords generator, and then open it
in a new window. Which I didn't hear it as like keyword generator,
it just completely free. You can use it. Also if
you have the paid version, I will show you
in a moment where you can find the LSI keywords. So you can come
here and write down whatever you have
in your mind and it will analyze and tell you
what are the results. So SEO frame, right? Let's assertions see
what order is also. Okay, so there are
three columns here. One word, two
words, three words. So here we have the
one word section. We have training course, for example, course
is an LSI keywords. Land certification
is another circular. So when we have a training
or when we have a course, of course, people will look
for a certification, right? So this is a war, this is a phrase
that is connected to our main focus keyword, we have engine optimization,
online marketing, Google, Yoast, WordPress,
advanced beginners, yours and WordPress for example. These are connected tools. Use a plugin for WordPress. Keyword Udemy. Right? Now, let's look at
what we have under towards column SEO training, which is our focus keyword and SEO certification
as your course, free SEO learn SEO
training courses. Marketing training,
Complete SEO link building. J link building is one of
the important tasks in SEO. And we have it here
as analysts IQR. Let's go to the next column. It should training course as your WordPress plugin,
search engine optimization. So if I want to rank
higher in SEO training, if I have all of these
stuff on my list, then on my website, then I have a higher
chance ranking in Google. So you can come here and search for other
stuff that you have in your mind to practice
more and get better at this LSI keywords. And on the next part, we're going to talk
about surfer SEO. I'm going to, since it is big, it has couple of great
and powerful tools in it. I'm going to divide
it into couple of lectures to get to each one, each of them, and learn
them deeper, right? So let's go for next part.
20. Content Editor: The next thing that you
are going to talk about here is the surfer SEO website, which incited, it includes
four or five tools. And you're going to
take a look at it. But before that, let's have a quick look at the LSI
keywords, the t-shirts tool. I mentioned that I will tell you if you have the pro version, how you can find
the LSI keywords. Let's take a look at that
and then go for surfer SEO. So here we are in the key
search and where you are here on the keyword
research when you're searching for a
phrase or keyword. And when it is done
here you see it is written deep analysis. And yellow, just click on it. It usually takes a
couple of seconds. And when you come down here
you have LSI keywords. You can get it from here. Or you can use the tool that we mentioned
on the previous lecture. So there we are. Okay, let's go to surfer SEO. Now Server SQL has four a
major tools that you can use. The first one is Content Editor, which more or less
give you the ability to edit alright,
content from scratch. Then we have content planner
who will take a look at it, how it is that will help
you to manage your website, the contents that you have, their page audit to analyze your page connected to the top pages on
the search engine. And finally, self audit, which we will analyze the top pages on the
search results themselves. And later we can compare
it to any other page that you like or you can
just learn from them, right? So come here, click
on visit the tool. As I mentioned before, the tool is paid, but it is a really good tool and suggestions are
really helpful. I use it for myself and
the projects that I have. So let's jump into pro version. And they have an update, right? So here we are. And the first thing
that we're going to talk about is the
Content Editor. Now the Content Editor
here is here to improve the SEO of the pages
that you already have. Or you want to order pages that you want to start
from the beginning. You can solve writing all
of the content there. So how you can use the tool. Let me just zoom
in a little bit. Right? So here we are in the homepage and you have audit content
and content editor. I'm going to click
on Content Editor. You'll see I have
two pages here. You have a limit, mostly
one of the pages here. As a practice, we are
going to work on it and I will improve it here. And later I will show you the results in the
search engine, but all you have to do here, write down the keyword
that you want to rank in, or the list of the keywords and the country that
you want to rank in and click on create content. Okay, So I already
done that here. And I have added the keyword. And I just went to my page and just
copy paste all of them. Let me open the page
if I can find it. So I don't know where it is a porcelain going
to search for it. Instagram post template. Alright, let's do a search
for it and see where this page is. Think
it's this one. Now, I made this page about
one year, two years ago. And I wanted to, I was using a template
for my Instagram post. I built myself on
Photoshop and I wanted just to give this
template to my students. So I didn't work on the
SEO or anything else. And here's the page you see
it has some comments here. Couple of images,
maybe less than Fifty, less than 30 words here. So this page is not very
good for ranking on Google. But how we can use the Keyword Planner Content
Editor to improve this page. I all I did, I just went to my page there and copy paste
everything selected, all copied them
and pasting here. So that's why you see it's
not very understandable. And I've done some stuff here
that it's not very clear. But anyway, our main
point is the content. I'm going to remove
part of this stuff. And I'm just going to keep the content, remove everything. So here we are. The content
that I have right now. The score is the score is 52. So all I can do, I can come here. These are the phrases
that I can use. So you can take a
look at how many. For example, I have 77 boards. So you can more than
what I thought. And I can reach. Want to make it better, I
should reach to one thousand, eight hundred, one thousand
six hundred words. Okay, I have three majors. I can push myself to
reach at least 25 majors. I have four paragraphs. 67 paragraph is the
minimum here for me. Headings I have to I need at least 47 headings to be able to compete with others
under syrup, right? So how I can do that here or
there are some suggestions. If one wants to write
down content here, I can talk about font, I can talk about style, photo, Photoshop,
download, editable, icons, smart and
stuff like that. All of these are
LSI keywords, okay, but here in the Content Editor you can have access to
diesel stuff much easier. Oh, sorry, you see,
don't see part of it. So let me just move myself here. Let me just move myself
out of this or I'm gonna put myself here so you
don't miss me much. Okay. So on the right side you see the staff and display when you're writing here on the left side,
you can take a look. Okay, I need to use, for example, design
world five more times. I can use the social world
three more times, at least. This way, you can write
a better contents. But that's not all
here. At the top. Here we have headings. So there are a
couple of headings, but for example,
Instagram templates, I don't have it as a heading. Instagram stories, I
don't have to have it, have them as a heading. And also if you
want to find them, you can just
highlight them to see where they are on your page. So here was the heading. If you pay attention
the top here there's a customized,
you can click on it. And there are a lot
of other things. For example, here we
have competitors. You can come here, see who are your competitors. For example, the first, the number one page on Google. It has 3 thousand words. So you can use this stuff. You can think about them while you're creating
the content. This will make it
more useful, right? We have the content
and structure here. And you can edit this stuff. This is, this is a suggestion, but you can change it. For example, you don't
want to afford a seven, you want to have
27, you can change it and click on, let's go. So the program will
suggest you 27, but I will keep it as
the number that it was. Right. And you can go on with
the rest of the stuff, add some other
stuff for example. So these are the suggested
words and phrases. I can add more to
them if I want to. And there are some topics,
topics and questions. For example, what
is Instagram PhD? I can answer to this
question on this page, I can create a heading
with this title. For example, heading
for heading three. How do I create an Instagram
post in Photoshop? I can add all of these
stuff on this page, answers to this question. So when people are
asking these questions, I can offer the
answers of my page, we'll get there and I
will drive more traffic. So it is a very amazing tool. But that's not all. At the top. You see
there's a tab named beef. Now, right now, this
is an better version. But what it does is that
it will suggest topics. It will suggest content to you. For example, you want
to write topics on H1, for example, it
will give you some. They use AI to create
a form topics. So all you have to
do if you are not even a good writer
or if you don't want to spend so much
time on this page, but anyway, you want
to make it better. All you can do is just come
here and copy and paste it. Now I suggest you to
read it at least once so you know what
you're showing people. But these are eating. Or sometimes when you
are writing, it's tough. You have to think
about some ideas. Nothing comes to your mind
is difficult this way. You can come here and easily, um, get some
inspirations, right? It's really useful in that case. So more or less that was all
about the content editor. On the next part we are going to talk about content planner. So that was all. If you have the tool, go ahead and take a look at
the stuff there and practice. Also, I'm gonna make
some changes on the page that I just showed you. And later on as we go
forward in the course, I will show you the result.
21. Content Planner: So the next tool that
we're going to talk about is content planner. But right now that
I'm recording, it's a better version. So it might have some issues. But in general,
it's very useful. So let's go back. And here we are in
the content planner. And all you have to
do is to come here, write down your domain, select the country
that you want, Rankin, and that's all. Create. Click on create
content planner. But also we can come here, click on Google
Search Console here. And this way you can connect Google Search Console
to surfer SEO. So surface you get the information directly from
your Google search console. And this way, the result, the analysis that
they will show you here will be more accurate. So I have done this before. Let's take a look at the result. So what content planner does is that it will
analyze your websites, almost most part of it. And it will tell you that what are your weaknesses are very, you can improve the web
pages that you have. For example, you see, these are some of my top pages. And if I, for
example, click on it. It will tell me on what
words I'm ranking in, what is my position, how much traffic I'm
receiving, and so on K. So you can go
through the list and take a look at the ones that are weaker example here I have a page about books suggestions. I didn't work on the SEO. I just wanted to provide some good suggestions to
people who are on my website. That's why I didn't
work on the SEO. But anyway, the suggestions are here and all you have to
do is to improve them, is to just come here, click on this Edit, and then it will be linked
to your content editor. When you come to
content editor here, you will have the
page. So here it is. You can have the page, you can come here and
the content editor. And you see it itself. It will bring all this stuff, all the documents here so you don't even need to
copy and paste stuff. And so we have the
suggestions that stuff that I have to work on
to make this page better. So as you saw, it is very easy. All you need to do. So just
come here to ligand as sign and it will be ready and prepared on your
content editor section. More or less, That's all
the content planner do. It will help you to get better results on pages that
are weak on your website. Under next part. The next part we're going
to talk about page audit, which is important and
really helpful and a tail. Now, if you have any question, you can write it down for me. Also. If you have the tool, go ahead and practice a little. These are really interesting
tools that can help you easily improve a
website ranking on SEO. So I will see you
on the next part.
22. Page Audit: The next tool that we
are going to learn is the page audit, which is one of my favorites. So let's have a look
at what we have here. So generally what
page are the dust? The way to use this tool
is to provide one of your webpages with
the focus keyword that you want to rank in. And then it will
analyze the SERP, the first page of Google
search engine results page. We'll analyze the first
five or ten pages there. And then it will compare them
to the page that you have. And it will tell you, okay,
what weaknesses that you have and what you should improve on your
page rank higher. So let's take a look
at it together. Here we are on audit,
and here it is. Here I should write
down the keywords, keywords or keywords that
you want to rank in. Then I paste my URL of my
web page selected country, and click on Run audit. I have here, for example, for SEO basics, I
have the audits, so let's take a look at it. Now you saw that on the first part on the
SEO basic section, I improved everything
that I possibly could improve on my webpage based on the suggestions
of Rank Math. But yet when we come here and compare my page to the best
pages on the search engine, the search result page. I have a lot of weaknesses. So you see my score
from 100 is 62, okay? Now, there are lots of places that I can improve
my web page there. That's why I'm telling that this is a little bit more advanced compared to the first
part because on the first part on
SEO basics topic, we learned the basics of
everything connected to SEO. But here we will go
one step further. Now, it's a great strategy that I have done this a lot on, not just on SEO, on doing anything
regarding business. What I wanted to do something. I will go ahead and take a
look at the best people, the best in the market, the best pages based
companies based products. I will take a look at
what they have done. I will start learning from them. This is a great strategy
to improve anything. Whatever you want to do, just take a look
at the best five, best ten, and learn
what they did. Right? Now, here this tool is the same. On this tool, we will learn what the top pages on search engine did and how we can do the same. So the first thing
that we have here is missing common backlinks. So let's take a look at it. You can click on the right button to
see more information. For exam. Most of these pages
have backlinks from these websites from Reddit Get up queerer medium, and so on. When I see, when I come
here and see this, I can go on these
websites and try to create some backlinks
if I can do it myself. If not, I somehow contact the website owner and touch about having the
backlinks now in the future. Lectures somewhere inside. If I'm not mistaken, yeah, in the link building chapter, we'll talk more about how we
can create backlinks, right? So this is one of
the paths that is my weaknesses on this
topic, internal links. Let's take a look at them. Now. The suggestion is that five internal links
opportunities found on this URL. So I can go on some
of these pages. You see here, I have a lot, some internal links
as you can see. But the first five are the
parts that I can have. What I don't. I can
take a look at them. For example, the free
keyword research tool, I can have a bike lanes. They Instagram marketing
course, Gro page. I can have a backlink there. Some of them I can solve them. For example,
categories, assertions, log page, and maybe I
can, maybe I can not. So, but anyway, I can use this information to improve
my page term of use. There are a lot of stuff here. I can go through them
and take a look at them. The next one, word count. For example, I have 2
thousand words on this page, but the top pages
uncertainty and they have 5 thousand to 60 thousand words. And click on show details and learn more about
if you see here I am the first page which
is wore the same.com. They have 8 thousand, the next 1, four thousand, four thousand, four thousand, the next 16, almost 16 thousand. So you can take a look at
this map and more or less, you get an idea that
where you should be. So when I looked at
this 8 thousand words, is the part that
I can get there. For example, how many headings
H2 to H6 I must have. I have 91, as you can see. But here, more or less
they're on 200283206. You see there is one patient that they have lots of content. So of course when you
have 60 thousand words, you will have a lot of
like 900 headings as well. We have exact keywords. I have smallest good. There's a part that
I can improve here. Then we have partial keywords. I have lots of room to
grow pages structure. I can take a look at them. For example, here, add
at least 148 paragraphs. Again, you come here. You see I have 4078 paragraphs, 120th for the page number one on Google 711800152
and so on, right? So in general, you can go
through the suggestions on this page, improve your page, make it better compared to
the top pages on Google, and you will get the result. So again, I will work on this suggestions for the
Instagram template page, and I will show you the result
in the upcoming lectures. Okay, so that was
all for this part. And then next part we
are going to talk about the last tool on
syrup on surfer SEO, which is served analyzer. So that was all. If you're ready, let's
go for the next part.
23. SERP Analyzer: Alright, the next tool
that we're going to learn is served analyzer. I'm going to repeat myself. Serve is a short form of
search engine results page, the first page of Google, searching for any keyword. Now, the next tool we'll
analyze the keyboard, the first page of the
keywords that we asked two. So let's take a look at it. Here is the server analyzer. You come here, you write down the keyword selected country
and run the server analyzer. So here I have a seal
training that I've done this, I've done this search before. Let's take a look at the
result that we have here. On the left side. We have the, somehow the
categories that topics that we can take a look at
and see the information. And on the right side we have
more in-depth information. So here we are right now on
buddy on the wards topic. But you see here, for example, this is the average that exists. So from the, from the page
one to ten on Google, they more or less have
about 1900 words, 11 to 22 thousand words, 21 to 3900 words. So you get a pattern
of how it's going on. But I can turn off
this average ten. We can, I can make
it less average, for example, five or whatever. I can turn it off as well
to see every single page, the result on the search engine and see how
they are doing. For example, page one has 980, the next one has 1 thousand, the next one has eight
hundred, two thousand, six hundred, one hundred, one thousand, three
hundred and so on. So this is the word count. Now I can go, I can
try other stuff. For example, here
it can come in, take a look at the characters, 5 thousand characters,
6 thousand. Again, I can take a look at
exact keywords that they use. For example, here the keyword, exact keywords issued framing. Let's see how many times
they have used it. For example, the
first patient is at 0 time, which is interesting. The next 15 times three. So when this is on average, you get more or less some idea that how many times
you should use it. Here is a place that
I told you before that while using
the focus keyword, how many times there's not
a great answer for that. But here you can take
a look that alright, the average 12, for example, this, for this five, the average one to
five page, five pages, they use more or less
about one to two times, then eight times, almost
eight to five day. So you get a better idea, that's what you should do. But here, this is
just about the buddy. Let's turn it off and
look for the rest of it. For example, here we have title. Now let's take a look at
the titles that they have. Divorce. For example, how many titles
that they have characters? You can go very deep
on this search. And for example,
the image Alt J. Let's compare the image alt
boards in every one of them. For example, the first
one is 16 words for page alt-text maximum five. Now again, this is an
average, right? 1255. Images have very long
alt texts, right? So you can take a
look at them and learn more about
these information. The pages speed, for example, on pages speed
what we can check, the load time, right? Let me turn off the words here. You can compare two things together if you
turn them on right? Both of them are
here on the pages. Read the first page, take almost nine
seconds to load. Next 1.82, next 146. Okay, so here was the result of the search of the topics that we
have on the left side. But let's come down here. Here we have search results,
different tabs here. The first one, search result. Here you can add your own website or the web pages that
you want to compare. You can take a look at them, goes through it, and
check each one of them. You can go on other topics. For example, let's
click on questions. And on questions. Let's see, for example, the questions that they answered
most on these top pages. What is SEO course? So what is the shooter training? Learn how to SEO. These are the
questions that most of these pages answer to them. Popular words on this page is, it will take a large and so
you see SCO course land. So these are, you see some
of them are highlighted. These are the ones
that are used as well. It will tell you okay, that you have used this,
but you don't use, for example, online, use
Google marketing and so on. This way, again, you
can compare your page, but the top pages, popular phrases and
you get the idea. This way. You can just compare
the top ones, see what they have done better, and how you can do the same. Alright, so that was all
about server analyzer. It's more or less similar
to the rest of the tools, but with more debt for k, You could see everything, even the HTML sizes on each
of these little pages, on each of these pages. And so that was
all for this part. And for the second
chapter that we have an x on the SEO part. The next chapter we're going to talk about the link building. So see you on the next one.
24. Introduction to link building: The next chapter that we have
here is the link building. So let's take a look at
what is link feeling and generally what we will have on the next
upcoming lectures. So here we are on the documents. Number three is link building. You can click on it and you
will come to this page. First of all, what
is link building? Link building is called to the
process of adding links to your content or from other
websites to your page. Now, we will get, get
deeper into these topics, but what we're going to learn during the
upcoming lectures, we will learn more
about topic relevancy and the effect of
it on our website. Internal links, we
talked about it before. We will take a look
at it again here. Inbound link or backlinks. And how we can create or
achieved them, right? So that's all the topics
that we have here. And if you're ready, let's start with the next topic, which is topic relevancy.
25. Topic relevancy: Topic relevancy, what it is, how we can use it, what is the effect of topic
relevancy on our website? Let's take a look at it. The topics that
you are trying to rank for must be
connected to each other. For example, my website
is mostly about marketing, business,
and self-development. On this website, Venice
is about marketing. I can go ahead and
talk about SEO. I can go ahead and
talk about how to build a website that
is good for marketing, how to design ads, social media marketing,
email marketing. All of these topics are
connected to each other, right? I can go ahead and
talk about business. Starting your company is starting and marketing
agency, right? All of these topics
are connected. This way. I'm trying to tell the
search engines that, hey, I am focused
on this, right? I am working on this
topic from all angles on different topics that are connected to each other, right? And suddenly leave
in the middle of all of these marketing
and business or soft. If I come and talk to you about chocolate or cooking,
for example, it's not connected and well, Google won't understand, or other search engines
won't understand that. Am I really delivering
value here? Or it's just something
random, right? So what I'm trying to
tell you is that when you want to create new pages, try to make them connected to what you have
on your website. If in case that you want to start a new topic
on your website, for example, let's say I don't have anything about
cooking on my website, right? But I want to have it. I can create different
pages on the same subject. For example, I want to rank for a specific food
in cooking, right? I can create different
pages connected to the cooking or connected
to this topic in general, maybe cooking other
recipes or other slough or I'm doing other things that
it's connected to cooking. I can create different
pages to support the one that I want
to try to rank. For example, here on my website. When I was working on
this SEO training, I built this five chapters. But to support it more, I made about 26 other
pages here you can see to support my main SEO
training pages, right? So even though that I'm using
these as internal links, for example, here
we have keyword. You see it will drive
traffic to Number 16. You can see it right
here it is number 16. What is keyword? Here? I have internal link,
internal length. It will drive the traffic
to somewhere here. Here it is, number
14, internal links. You see. So this is all
connected to each other and all of these pages are
supporting each other. So I will have higher
chance to range. So it is very important that when you want to
focus on a topic, the top of the rest of the
pages should be connected. If you don't have those
pages, start building that.
26. Backlinks: The next topic is internal links and inbound link or backlinks. I'm going to talk
about both of them in the same lecture
about internal links. We already talked about it at the beginning of
this SEO training, but I'm going to point
out to eat very fast. So you see there are
some links here. We have two links. One of them is with the word internal links and
the other one Wikipedia. Now, to this link,
as you can see, it is driving traffic to my
other page on my own website, which is this one,
internal links. It will drive
traffic to that page which is hosted on
my own website. Because the movement
is inside my website, we call this internal,
internal links, right? But this one is pointing
out to Wikipedia, right? So it is external and driving traffic from my website
to another website. So it is external. But what is inbound
links or backlinks? So here we have external links. I'm driving traffic from
my website to Wikipedia. Now, this link here
on my website, for Wikipedia, it
will be a back link. Back link that is
driving traffic from another website
to our website. So if you create a website
and on your website, you create a link which connects your
website to my website. For example, you will
put a takes their PIT.com and it is clickable. People can click on it and
they come to my website. That link on your
website is a backlink for me or is an inbound
link for me, right? So that is the
meaning of backlinks. But the thing, the hard
part about it is that We cannot just go ahead and
create them ourselves, right? Creating backlinks is
happening on other websites. So that's the tough part. That's the difficult part that we need to
learn more about. How we can connect other pages, how we can convince them to
put a link to our website. Let's take a look at
what we have here. We have four steps, right? We'll go ahead and take a look at each of
them one by one. So generally the process is that we want to convince
someone who has a website to create
a link on one of the articles that drives
traffic to our website. So the first step is to
find relevant blog posts. So the first step
is that, right, I have a page about
SEO, for example. And I want other website
to use this link, drive traffic to my page here to this SEO training pace, right? So I must go ahead
and find topics, find blog posts that more
or less are connected. So I can go on
Google search about connected keywords
or LSI keywords. For example, here I'm
talking about SCO. Wordpress can be
connected, Rank, Math, Yoast, all of these plugins
can be connected to my topic. There are a lot
of things, right? Codings, linked buildings. All of the strategies
that we learned on SEO training till
now can be helpful, okay, All I need is to
find different blog posts. So I can go ahead and Google, for example, and make it bigger. For example, what is
Rank Math, right? So the first page
that appear here, the first flip side is it's
an article on LinkedIn. I'm gonna go ahead and
try to find an article which can be more
or less edited on the LinkedIn one I
think they can edit, but I'm not sure. We can go ahead. For example here, side Care.com, a beginner's guide to Rank Math. So if I open it, here is their article, right? You see it's an
educational article. Of course they have,
maybe they have a product or service about SEO. They made an article
and a ranking in it. So the next step when
I found some examples. Now this is one example
you can find, for example, 10205100 blog posts that
are connected to your page. The next step is to
analyze the page. What are we looking for here? The second step is to
analyze each page, each blog post, and to find the top choices
for your website. You should select
blog posts with a good amount of traffic, but have a few external links. Now, the fact that for example, this website side Care.com is ranking here number
four or five. On the Rank Math, it shows us that it must have a good amount
of traffic, right? But if you want to make sure
you can use other tools like SEM rush or you can search. There's a website, for
example, websites worth. Use this a lot. You can take a look
at their value. The value that
this website shows is based on the traffic
at websites has. For example, here we are on. I'm going to just copy
paste the whole link here. Let me remove this adds. So it is telling us $46
thousand more or less. If you come down, it will show you how much it should be daily. The money that they can
make somewhere here. Estimated visited visits per
day is about 9 thousand. This website increase the
numbers a little bit. So I guess the estimated
visits per day should be between one thousand, five hundred, two
thousand visitors. So it's not bad. It can be helpful for us, okay? So this is, this can
be a good website, a good choice for us, but let's take a look at
the links that they have. So we want a website
with low external links. Let's take a look at the
links that they have here. When I'm hovering my mouse, you see at the bottom
of the screen, it is showing the links, but it's very small. Probably you won't see it. But what I see here, these are all internal links, so they are referring to other topics connected
on their own website. So I don't guess that they
have a lot of external links. As I see here.
Generally, this website can be a good option for us. Alright, so let's say we
selected this website, this blog post Rod
for ourselves. And you can go ahead and
analyze, for example, 304050 other blog posts as well. And when you select,
we only found the top ones for your page. The next step is to
get connected, right? You have to get in touch with the website owner or the admin there and offer them
something valuable. So first of all, this is not just about SEO. Whenever you want to
get in touch with someone and you have a
request in your mind, do not start with the request. You have to create
a connection first. Every time I receive
tons of messages on different platforms that I
cannot respond to all of them. Okay. There are too many. There are hundreds or even thousands of offerings
in the middle of them. Now when I receive a message that someone wrote, for example, five paragraphs that I have to spend ten
minutes reading them. When someone sent me
something like this, that is a hay, for example, we saw your content on this platform
that's flat platform. And then tell you about what
we do our services to this. We want to do this. My request is this. So when they start to
talk about these things, they request they're talking
about what they want. I immediately ignore them. Okay. Come on. I don't have
a time for this. Right? But when someone
comes to me and write just a short message that
hey, I want to thank you. For example, your
content is like this. You can do the same. I have read your blog posts, it was really good. You're really delivering value. I just wanted to thank you. By the way, for
example, I'm Pooja and it's nice to be connected, for example, just try
to create a connection. Usually when you come friendly, let me make myself bigger. When you come
friendly and you're just trying to
connect with people. Usually people will respond. Some people are always busy. It doesn't matter how
you message them. You won't be able to reach
them, they won't respond. But for example, when you
are trying 100 admins, 100 messages to 100 people, when you are trying this, in the middle of
this 100 people, at least maybe 30% will respond. So 30% is a good number. So when you try six people, if two of them respond
back, it's a good number. So try to be friendly, get in touch with them. Try to have a small chat. Maybe it takes, for example, a couple of days
or even weeks for you to get in touch with
these people so they respond. Once people are busy, right? Then little by little, you can start talking
about your request. So when they responded, you and you have a conversation
you've got connected. You can go ahead
and ask them, Hey, I saw that you have a
great life posterior. It is really interesting. I think I may be able to add more value to your article by just adding couple of links. Are you interested or not? So the thing is that
out of those 30%, maybe more softer,
maybe 60% dropout. Because people do not. Just want to deliver, drive traffic to other websites. And they don't want
to make some changes. They don't want to spend
time on this thing. So this process is not very easy or simple that you sit down and I'm going to
spend ten minutes. I'm going to create
three backlinks, okay? It's not like that,
but it will worth it. It will help you. For example, maybe you
spend two to three weeks creating backlinks
for just one page. But it will worth that
time because then your page will rank high in the keywords that
you want to ranking. Then you can drive that
traffic to buy some products or services and make a
lot more money, right? One other thing that I want
to mention before we go to the next step is that the reason that we are selecting the articles that
have been written already. Not going after
some, for example, I get some messages that
people told me, Hey, I haven't great article that is a great fit for your website. Okay, can you just post it? So they prepared everything, all the tastes and
all all the images. Everything is ready. They just give it to me and
they asked me to post it. There isn't that
we don't go after these options to
start from scratch. Instead we go after articles
that are already written, is because those articles are
already ranking in Google. They already have
traffic and that can deliver more
value to your page. That's completely
different story. So the next step is to when they accept
your offer that help, Yeah, if you really have a good idea that can deliver
more value to my audience, will be open to death
when they say that. For the step number four, the edited texts now your task is to just select part of
the article that is a great, great fit for your website. And try to deliver value, right? One or two line, add one or two line, and in the middle of them, add your website
link to it as well. So for example, I
brought a practice here. In a step to analyze the page. We talked about it
couple of minutes ago. We have a paragraph. Let's practice on that. So here it is. The second step is
to analyze the page. Let's come down here. So this is before editing. The second step is
to analyze each page and to find the top
choices for your website. You should select the blog post with a good amount of traffic, but have few external links. Now after I added my text to it, you see here the ball takes
is the one that I added. So let's take a look at it to
complete this task easier. You can read more about it
here and find out about the three tools that help you analyze each page,
each article faster. So the main point here
is that I'm trying to deliver value to those audiences who are reading this text. I'm talking about and tasks in SEO that you should do this. Now here are three tools
that can help you. Now, where I wrote about this treatise on an
article on my own website. And then I will put my link here that you can
click on this link. You will find out what those
three tools are, right? Then sloughing. So all you need to do is to create something
like this that hey, I edited this text,
take a look at it. If you are happy with it, you can just add it the
way it is to your website. When you prepare everything, it will be easier for them. And again, it will be harder for them to
reject your offer. And well, it will it is easy to take us a couple of minutes for them to drag and drop the
text on there, the picture. So that was all about
internal links and backlinks. And on the next part, we're going to talk about
another important thing, which I didn't write it here, but we have it in
our SEO dictionary. And debt is anchor text.
27. Anchor text: The next topic that we are
going to talk about in this chapter is anchor takes. Now, let's take a look at
the documents that we have. Here. We are in the third chapter, but on the right side, under SEO terms, the
second one is anchor tags. Click on it and you
will come to this page. First of all, what
is anchor text? Anchor tags is called
to the text of a link. So here you see we have
a link to this text. The text itself, it is written
a t, that's anchor text. Here, YouTube channel. The text of the YouTube
channel is the anchor text. The SEO training takes
is the anchor text. So why we need to learn this
when we are creating links, we use different texts,
different words. Right? Now, these anchor tags
have different types. To be more effective, you should use different type of anchor tags toward a page. For example, you create
backlinks for yourself. You can use different
anchor text types to drive that traffic from
other fled to overpays. You can do the same on venue or linking when you're creating
internal links, right? So let's take a look at the different types
of anchor text. So the first type
is exact match, partial match, branded, naked
link, generic and image. Click on the first one. Here it is the exact match. So what is exact match? Anchor text. The exact match is when the
anchor text is exactly the same as the main key phrase
of the page will link to. For example, here, this, the main key phrase of
this page is anchor text. If you, for example, here I used anchor text. This is exact match. This is exact. This wall is exactly the same as the main difference that key phrase that
they have here. Partial match is
part of the text, is a match, right? So for example, my, let's say my main key
phrase is anchor phrase. But here, when I want to create a link or use this text
anchor text types, okay? So part of it, anchor and anchor are the same, the rest of it is different, so we call this partial match. The next one is branded. Branded is when you
use a brand name as an anchor text to a website or a webpage,
for example, here. This page is about anchor text. The link is created.com
slash anchor text. But instead of that, I used the brand of my website. I can refer to a tool on Google Keyword Planner,
but instead of, I write the name of the product or the
rest of the things, I use Google brand instead. The next one is naked link. Well, it's obvious you use the exact URL as
the anchor text. For example, presented.com,
google.com, Udemy.com, right? The next one is generate some
random words that we use. For example, click here, landmark, view the
product for k. These are generic. And the last one is image
that you put an image, that image is clickable. When you click on it, you
will go to a web page. So these are the
different types of anchor text that you can
use when you are creating internal links or when you are trying to create
backlinks on other platforms, you can be aware of this
and on different places and different locations use
different types of anchor text. That was all about this chapter. On the next part, we're going to talk
about the Rank Math, WordPress, SEO plugin
and some other tools. For example, how you can create all this
other stuff on this. Or if you are just writing
the code yourself, how you can create
the same stuff, the same settings for
SEO on those platforms. Okay, So if you're
ready, let's go for it.
28. Rank math seo plugin for wordpress: Alright, if you're ready,
let's go for the next chapter, which is about the SEO settings, the plugins, or
different platforms, how we can set up the SEO for every page and different
platforms like WordPress, like weeks, or
even an HTML file. So let's take a look at it. Alright, so here we are in the chapter for
WordPress SEO plugin. As you can see here. I have written down all the information
that you may need, but I'm going to show you myself every step that is very important and you
must know about them. So the SEO, first of all, let's take a look
at what we have. We have SEO plugin
for WordPress, which we are going to talk
to you about Rank Math. And we'll go through all the settings and
all this stuff that Rank Math has that you can
use and improve your SEO. After that, we have the
SEO settings for weeks, which is another
common platform. I'm just going to point out, we're not going to
go very deep in it, but I'm going to point out
to some important software. And finally, SEO for HTML file. So let's begin with
the Rank Math SEO. So we talked about it at
the beginning of this. It should training.
It's a great. I have used different SEO
plugin for WordPress. This one til now was
the best of them. So in order to install this, you must go to dashboard, to your WordPress dashboard. Go to Plugins, and
then go to Add New. And in the search bar, write down the name, The Rank Math, and it will come and all you need to
do is to install it. So the rest of the way, I'm going to show you on
my WordPress dashboard. Let's go there. Here we are. This isn't
the WordPress dashboard. Let's go to Rank Math. And the first part that we have here is the general
dashboard of range mask. There are different tools or different features here
that you can enable them. For example, on the Pro
version of Rank Math, we can monitor 404 error page. There are different features and tools here that
you can take a look. For example, the
analytics that we're going to talk about for the Google Search Console
is afforded pro version. There are different features
that you can work on, but most of them that
really useful are free. For example, if you
want to work on SEO for local area or local shops. This one, this tool here
can come very handy. So you can go
through these tools. The sitemap is very important. We need it, we'll talk about it and it's on the free version. And more or less, that's all for the dashboard. Let's go for the next
part, the analytic part. Now, when you install Rank Math, you can connect a plugin with your Google Analytics
and it will receive some of the information
and show it to you more or less in a better
way here, right? So these are some keywords
that I'm ranking in. These are some pages that
I got a better position. For example, what is page title? I got at position 22 and I
had a 78 jump in my rankings. It will show you a lot of good things that
you can just take a look and find out good stuff, good information about how
you're doing very fast. At the top, you see we have
the NLTK, the dashboard part. The next part we have each part, each of these windows
that you just saw, but very deep, we have
it here, for example, we have the site analytics, the pages that can be improved, the pages that are good
and can be improved. We have SEO performance, we have keyboards
and rank tracker. Rank tracker is really useful. We had it on key
search tool as well. You can add some of the
keywords that you have a page for and you want to
rank in those keywords, you can add them and track the rank that
you have on them. I explain everything also
on the documents as well. Let's go to the general setting. The next part. Here. As the title is obvious, we have the general
settings for some of the tools that are
important for, for example, on the master tool, you can connect your rank mass to Google Search Console
to being Webmaster Tools, to other search engines,
search engines platform. This way, there will be a connection between
those search engines and your website and
they can receive the information instead
bit better and easier. Okay. I'm not going to go
very deep into the settings. Most often you don't need. But this last part
and I'll takes, is the part that you
connect your website to Google Search Console
and to Google Analytics. Okay? So the next one
is title and Meta. Titles and Meta,
you can come here and edit preferences for. The title and metaphor
your pages for example, here we have, let's come down for example,
here we have posts. Okay? I can change this. I can say, for
example, for my posts, for all of them,
follow this strategy. For example, use a
title, then a space, then use another name
instead of my website name. Use this name. You can
change the stuff here. This will help you
that every time that you are creating something new. For example, for categories, for tags, for
portfolio categories, four pages, landing pages, campaigns, and so on. You will have a
pre-organized preferences for those stuff, right? The next part is a
sitemap settings. It's very important for
those of you who are not who don't know
what a sitemap. Sitemap. The name is obvious. It's a map of your
website that you give this map to certain
genes so they know, what do you have
on your website? The list of the categories, the list of the post, the list of the pages, that list of a lot of other
stuff which is inside it. Now, these SEO tools, what they do is that they update the site map
every day, okay? So search engines can have access to the final
site map of your website, for example, today I may sit and create two posts on my website, and I can repeat this
for a week or a month. And every time that I
create something new, search engines will
know about it, right? This is why sitemap
is very important. So under settings here right
now we are on general. We can go deeper. For example, what do
you want to include in our sitemap images inside metal? How many links do we want to
include in our sitemap or j? For example, if
your website has, for example, 2 thousand pages, you can increase that
number according to the links or pages or posts that you have
on your website. So here is the setting
for the sitemap. You can go through it, you can take a look
at this stuff here. And if you want to include
or exclude something, for example, you may
say that, alright, I don't want to include
categories on my site map. You can come here and remove it. But the place of the sitemap, because you need to provide this sitemap to search engines. Like for example, if you have an account on Google
Search Console, you need to copy and
paste this link. But for yourself,
this is for me. We can see that the top
in the general part. You can also introduce you just copy and paste this link in the sitemap tab of Google Search Console
or other platforms. And then they will keep reading your website and
have access to this file. The next part is
instant indexing. I explained they'll
tell about it on the documents and
just write down, just going to point out two important things
that you may meet. Schema templates. It's, I think it's
in the pro version, but it's useful, but
you don't need it, it's not something essential. The next one after that
is the SEO analytics, which it will analyze. You can run, start analyzing your website and it will
run an audit and tell you, okay, this part's good,
This part is bad. You need to work on this
part and that part. Okay, So you can go through this list and improve
your website to. The next part is a
status and tools. And after that we have
help and support. It's not really
important for you to know about these. More or less. That would be all for
the Rank Math that you may need them to
improve your website SEO. The next part, we are going
to point out two weeks and how we can access to some of these settings
that we talked about.
29. SEO settings for WIX: The next part that we have is the SEO settings for
another platform, which name is weeks? Weeks is some other platform that will help you
to create a website. It's not like WordPress
is a little bit easier. Wordpress is a bit more complex. And it's for people who are not very good
with creating websites. They don't know coding, they
don't know, for example, some complicated
platform like WordPress. So they need something
really fast, really quick to create
their website on, right? So weeks is a platform for
these types of people. I'm not going to spend
lots of time here. But for some of you know that you may have
a question that alright, these things that you
talked about doing this you're training,
where can I find them? How can I edit the page title? How can I add keywords? In weeks when you are
in the edit page, edit part of your page. At the top right side there is a menu that you can click on. On the side, as you can see in this image, you
can click on that. And here you see that there is an option get found on Google. You can click on that and the
next time it will give you, it will provide some steps
that you need to follow. For example, set the homepages
title for search result, and you follow the step. And last one, for example, is to connect your website
to Google Search Console. This way, Google will find out about your website and
what you have under. Here in this place, you can find some of the
tools that we talked about. I'm not sure if they have everything that we talked
about because, well, as I said, is a easy platform
for beginners, okay? Of course they won't have some advanced stuff that
we've talked about, right? But you can find a lot
of different things. They may charge you for
some of it. I'm not sure. I don't use this at all, but to let you know, I made the research
and wrote down more documents about
it if you want to have access and if you
want to learn more. So that was all I
wanted to share with you about weak base, your settings and weeks. And on the next part, Let's take a look at the HTML5.
30. SEO for html: Alright, the next part is
SEO settings for HTML. I'm going to keep it short
because it's really simple. It's doesn't have
Marshall touch about. So for those of you who
understand it, an HTML code. At the top of every HTML
code code days the head tag. That inside that head tag we add some information about
that web page, right? Like the title, like what files
it should use, and so on. There are many things. The settings for SEO is there. You have to add the information between the two head tags. You see here, these
are the head tags. And for example, here in this code we have
the type of our file. Here we have the title. This is the page
title that we talked about earlier in the SEO basics, how to add metadata
to a web page. This is the title part. The next line, as
you can see here, is for the meta-description, this is a metadata file. The name of it is
the description and the content is all
of your, blah, blah. Okay, So this is the
part that Google will show in the search result
under the link and the title. Okay? And for example here
we have another metafile. These metal tags
include the information about the page that we
are creating using HTML5. Now, the name is keywords. Now here are our
keyboards, the k, the same way that we
had on Rank Math. We can write it like this and separate them with a
comma here. Right? Now, more or less, that was
all the settings that you can have access on an HTML file. Of course, on WordPress, we had a lot of other settings, but this will do the work for SEO when you
want to set a title, when you want to write a
description or keyboards, this will do the job. So that was all for this part. On the next part we're going
to talk about pages speed, which is very important. Actually, I'm not an expert on the next chapter,
so let's go for it.
31. Page speed elements: Welcome to the next
chapter where we are going to talk
about the pages. Pages is extremely
important because if you have a great website with a great SEO settings,
everything perfect. But it takes 15 seconds
to load your webpage. Well, first of all, people want weight that line
and search engines will decrease the value of your website because it
is just the slope, right? Having a fast website will have a very good positive
effect on search engines. So when you website is
loading really fast. So citizens will
say that, alright, this page, this website is okay. We are going to show
it to our audiences. So on this part, this lecture, I'm going to introduce
three plugins that will help you to improve the
speed of your website. Many are using WordPress. But before that, first of all, here we are in the page speed
chapter, as you can see. But before we go to, we talked about the plugins. I want to talk about what
we have on a web page that can take some time to load and what are the different types for them and how
we can find them, how we can minimize
them or make them lighter for our
website loads faster. So the first step is to analyze your website on Google
com and search for tool. Which name is? You can go on Google, just search for
Google PageSpeed. And Google has a tool that
will analyze your website. And the first link is that on PageSpeed Insights dash Google Developers
just click on that. A page like this will appear. Let me make it bigger. And as you can see, all you have to do at the top, just write down the URL of your website or your web
pages and click on Analyze. Now it will analyze your website on two different devices. Device types,
mobile and desktop. And it will tell you, it will give you
the information, it will show you the
problems and so on. Now, the score between
50 to 89 is okay, but it's not the best. The best is between 9100%. If you are less than 50, you need to work
on your website. Let's come down here. I'm going to just point out to the important things
that you must consider. The first thing here you see, first contents will paint. This is the first content
that appear on your website. You can see that the way it looks here, you
see, for example, on this one, I
don't have most of my elements and the next
one it appears and so on. So on my website, it takes about 2.8
seconds to load the first content that
users can see right now, my suggestion to you is that under three seconds, it is good. If you can do it
better, it's perfect. But not always. It is possible sometimes
there are a lot of stuff to load depending on the
type of your website, depending on what you are doing. And 2.8 seconds squared, less than three, it's good. Let's compare this. This is on mobile and let's
compare it to the desktop. Now, as you can see, my
desktop of scores 95, and it takes 0.7 seconds
to load the first content. So it is May faster,
less than one. Certain people can see
something on my website. Let's go back on mobile. And under this part, the upper two on the
opportunities section, there are some suggestions, okay, So for example, it is telling me to reduce
unused JavaScript files. So I can click on it. It will give me some
information and it will tell me what plugins are, what files are very heavy on my website as a JavaScript code that are making
it tough to load. For example, here I have a file for auto
optimized plugin. I'm going to talk about
it in a moment that it is 400 kilobytes. So maybe I can make it smaller. I can if I don't use
it on this page, I can remove it,
but I'm using it, so I have no other choice. And this is for the first
part for my website, the first thing was
the JavaScript files, depending on your website
and what you have, it may show you something, Yes. The next item that we have here for my website is the images. Now as you can see,
there's only one image. I compress all of the images
that I had on my website. This one I also did compress, but since I needed some
high-quality image here, I made it bigger so it's a little bit
heavy, but it's okay. Sometimes if you really need a high-quality
image on your website, it's okay, but compress it. I'm going to introduce
a website too, which is really useful. The name is tiny. I'm Kenji. Searches on Google tiny
PNG is this upside. And it's a really great website. It's free, you can use
it as much as you want. And all you need to do
is to just drag and drop your images here. It
will compress it. For example, your image have, for example, 200 kilobytes. It may, after compression,
it may give you, for example, 60
kilobytes or even less. So it's a really good website. Tiny PNG, as you can see
somewhere in the screen. It's really good platform
that you can use. So the next thing that we
had our different files, as you can see here, based on
what you have, for example, this one for my other
logo is another images my logo it takes and
it is telling us how many seconds or
milliseconds it takes to load. So it can go through
this list on for your own website and find out the things
that you can remove. Find out the things that you can compress to make your
website work faster. Now on the next part, I'm going to tell you about those three SEO plugins for those three pages with
plugins for WordPress. So if you're ready, let's
go for the next part.
32. Page speed plugins for WordPress: Alright, and this part we
are going to talk to you about three useful plugins that will help you to improve the
page speed of your website, your pages on your
website and so on. So let's take a look at them. Here we are on Chapter five. And the first one, I have been using these plugins for some of them for
a couple of years, some of them for a
couple of months. And they're really good, very easy to use. They are free. And there is
a really big difference. Before I use these two plug-ins. I'm using all of them
at the same time. Before I use them. My pages speed, I think it was something around on website, something around six
or seven seconds. On mobile it was 1415 seconds. So you see here the number
that you see, for example, for desktop it is 0.7 seconds
before these ligands, it was something like
78 seconds, right? So the first one
is auto optimized. Okay, it's a really
simple and easy plugin. Just install it and there
are some settings for it. Let me see if I can show you. On the left side, you
can see, for example, this is one of them I'm going
to mention in a moment, asset cleanup, It's really good. The auto optimized settings, it will appear
here, for example, this is for the cash
and various settings. It should be somewhere
around here, right here it is auto
optimized, okay? So I'm not going to go very deep into the settings
of these plugins. But for example, here on the
first part it is giving you the option to compress the JavaScript and
CSS and HTML file. So if you want to, you can just turn some of them
on and make some changes. For example, optimized
HTML code, yes, market. So there are lots
of things here. When you're done, you can
save changes and impure cash. But before using any of these, have a backup of your website. It's really important
because some of these changes may
damage your website, may change something that your website don't load anymore. So it is really
important for you to have a backup before
running this stuff on it. Then you have
images, for example, it can compress your images, but because I compress
my image as myself, I'm not going to use it because, um, I didn't feel
very good about it, wasn't really my thing, right? So the next the next tool
is WP dash optimize. This one is also really good. Use it a lot. Let me just show
you where is it. Here it is. This tool also. It will optimize your database. Okay? You see it will
optimize your database again before running anything
using these plugins, I strongly recommend
to have a backup. It will also compress
your images. It will. For example, this, if I
just turn this off looking show you page cache, this will, what this part does is that it will load some of the
information or images on my website once and
keep it as a cash next time that I or any
other people in my area use the one
to load my page. It won't load everything. It will show them what
they have load before, so it will be faster. So you saw the pages
feed right now, if I just turn this
off and save it. Alright, if we go
back, where is it? If we go back to the Pages
field and run the test again, you see the desktop
is 95 are scored, the mobile is 55, and it takes 0.7 or eight seconds to load. This one is 2.8. So let's run this test. I want you to see how it will affect my website and what
will be the difference. Again, it will take usually
between ten to 20 seconds for the pay Google
PageSpeed Insights to analyze every website. And after that it will be ready. I'm going to pause
it until it's ready. Okay, it's ready. Alright,
so this is the result. As you can see, there
isn't big difference. But if we come
down, for example, on mobile, the
timings are similar. But you see, this is the timestamp of showing some content you see
before it was here. And you see there are
some options here that some additional things
we have here to decrease. We have also the
same thing here. You see it takes much longer
to load the first content. So I'm going to turn it back on because I want
my website to be faster. And for example,
we have preload J. There are lots of
different things here. You can go through it, minify, you can compress
the, for example, JavaScript files, css,
fonts, and so on. Okay. The next tool that
we're going to talk about is, where is it? The next plugin is acetylene. Acetylene knob is a
little bit more complex. It will give you the access. Let me explain here. On every page, for example, on your website you are
using different lichens. And maybe some of
these plugins will be loaded on some of the pages
that you don't need them. So it will show you a list
of everything that will be loading for that web page in
the edit page setting part. Okay. So you can go there in the edit page part
and turn them off. I'm not using this plug-in
at all on this webpage. So turn it off. It makes your page loads faster. Before I use this plugin. This plugin alone, I
saved something between three to four seconds
on my website loading. So it was really amazing. Jake. So that was all I wanted to
mention in this lecture. And the next part. I'm going to talk a little about traffic because it's important. And we will end
this SEO training.
33. Traffic: Alright, this is almost our final lecture
on this training. And I want to talk
about traffic. Traffic is really important. Even if you create the best structure for
SEO for your pages, you do everything grade. You create a lot of
different backlinks. You have a lot of
internal links, all the structures perfect. If you don't have traffic, you will not rank anywhere. So start the pages to
make them running, to make them noticeable on Google or other
search engines, you need to derive some traffic. For example, right now that
I'm recording this video, I have created a lot
of different pages and documents on my own
website about SEO, but they didn't share
it with people. So it means that you don't
have traffic on those pages. They are not ranking. The ranking much
higher than 100, meaning after the tenth page of Google may be paid
1520, I don't know. But when I drive traffic
towards these pages, little by little, they
will start getting higher in the search engines because the structure is good. Now we have traffic. And these two work together to boost your page in Google
and rank much higher. Okay, So the traffic is, it is very important. Now what you can do about it, it's not something that alright, download this plugin and
you will have more traffic. You need to come
up with solutions. Generally on marketing, we have two solutions for traffic. First one, you can build a page, you can go on Facebook,
create an app. You can go on Google and
create an ad for it. Drive traffic, spend some money. I know it will be
expensive some time depending on where you
want to target people. And, but since it is important, you should choose
one of these ways. The second way is to drive
traffic organically. How you can do that? Well, you may say, alright, One of the organic ways that we can drive traffic
is SEO itself. Yes, but there are
other ways as well. For example, there are a lot of Facebook groups that what you are creating or
providing or offering. They may like it. They may
need it on those groups. You may find, for example,
50 thousand people. For example, my brothers,
sometime ago he was creating some YouTube videos
about cooking. And he had he was
struggling with traffic. And I told him that, for
example, on Facebook, you can find a lot of groups
about cooking, right? Go there and share your videos. Now this is the same that
was your YouTube video. This is a webpage that want
to rank in Google, right? So when you share these, you can receive traffic. Now, I have an email list. You may have an email list. You can email your friends. You can share it on
your social media. If you have an Instagram, if you have Facebook,
if you have Twitter, you can share these pages
that you want to rank in, in different platform,
different places. This way, you can
drive more traffic. Now. Some of you may have
more audiences right now, and some of you may have less. But this is a great advantage. As you go forward in
the marketing area. You need to create
a bigger audience. I have different groups, I have different email list, I have different places that
I keep my audiences there. For example, on facebook, I have a group of 10 thousand
people right now. Okay? That just connected about
marketing and the stuff. Of course, there were
trying to delivering value. But for example, if
I write something, if I create a page about
marketing or business, something like that,
I can share it there. Yes. Not all those 10 thousand
will come and visit, but maybe 500 of them come and visit my
pace, I have an email list. I can email them
and ask them, Hey, I have created a webpage about this topic
and you can use it. So if you want, just
click on this link. So what I'm trying to tell you
here is that you must find different ways to drive
traffic toward the pages. It can be using influencers, it can be using adds
organic traffic. There are a lot of
different places that people are hanging out. They need your content and you can easily share it with them and receive those traffics. All you need to do
is to search for it, look for it, and
you will find it. Okay? So that was all I wanted to share with you
during this lecture. And I hope you have
enjoyed this SEO training. I hope you have
learned new things. I hope that you have
done the assignments, quizzes that we had, and I hope to see you soon.
