1. Introduction: Hi friends, My name is Jino and welcome to a String Art project. This project is all about making your own String Art design. In the following lessons, I will be explaining about how to create a String Art design, and make your own String Art project. This project is mainly for beginners. So if you'd like to learn about String Art, then this class may give you a good inspiration for getting started. I have been doing String Art since 2015. To me String Art is a Hobby and it also keeps me to be calm and patient. I will guide you through all the step-by-step process in this String Art project. And I can promise you that there are more projects on the way. In the following lessons, I will share with you a lot of tips and tricks which are going to be useful when you make your own String Art project. Hopefully you will show me your string art along the way. And I will surely give you a genuine feedback for the same. Once you have completed this project, you will end up with your beautiful piece of string art and the skills and confidence to start up your next String Art project. In the following lessons, I will be explaining about the following steps for creating String Art design. I will explain about the tools and materials used to make the String Art. Making platform ready for doing String Art. And finally, the step-by-step process to make String Art design. 2. Tools and Materials: Hello friends. In this session, I will be explaining about the tools and materials which I have used for this project. I will be also showing some other materials which I'm using for my string art projects. In this project, I here mainly used silk thread, plywood, hammer, nails and rexine and some other materials. In this session, you will see all the tools and materials which I have used for this project. For each string art, I will be selecting the thread based on the design only. If the design has lot of connections between the nails and there are only less number of nails, then I will be using very narrow silk thread as I have used for this project, for the background of the string art I may use different colors if I need to give a different color background. In this project, I have used blue color silk thread for creating this beautiful string art for drawing the design diagram. I have used pencil, paper, protector, divider and a scale. I have used 20 millimeter nails for this project. And I have used a normal size hammer for hammering the nails. And it is also good to have a pliers to adjust to the nails into the exact position. I have used rexine to cover the playwood to give a uniform background and scissors is used to cut the rexine and also to cut the thread. Using rexine to cover the wood is an optional step. You don't need to do the same. You can directly place the nails on the wood and start the string art. And I have used, a square plywood piece, with a dimension of 380 millimeters, and the thickness is almost 20 millimeters. These are the main tools and materials which I have used for completing this string art project. In the next session, I will be showing how to make a platform ready for doing String art. 3. Create Platform ready for String art: Hi friends. In this session, I will be explaining how to create a platform really for doing String Art. I will be showing a step-by-step process for the same. First step is coloring the wooden board or covering the wooden board. This is an optional step because you can also directly do the string art on the wooden board. In this project, I have used a piece of rexine to cover the background because it will give a uniform color. Follow these steps to do the same. First step is completed. Now we have a background with a uniform color. Second step is drawing the string art diagram for your project. For drawing the design diagram, Draw 2 perpendicular lines at the center of the paper. And using a protractor, divide the same with 45 degree angle, as you can see now. Mark the nail-points on the diagonal lines. The distance between each point should be five millimeters. mark the numbers at each points as you can see now. the starting point will be marked as four points away from the center. The ending point will be 16 points away from the starting point. The second starting point will be eight points away from the previous endpoint. And the final endpoint will be 16 points away from the second starting point as you can see now. Draw a perpendicular line at the center of this diagonal. And mark the nail-points as you can see now. Repeat the same process on every diagonal lines. Once you've marked all the numbers and all the starting points, hammer the nails into every nail-points between the start point and the endpoint. Basically there should be four points gap before the starting point and also four point gap after the end point. And the distance between the starting point and ending point will be 16 points. Repeat the same process on every diagonal lines and you will get the result as you can see now. You can use a pliers to adjust the nails as straight as possible to get a perfect and beautiful result. Remove the paper diagram once all the nails are placed. Now the platform is ready for String Art. In the next session, I will be showing the graphical representation of the String Art design for your better understanding. 4. Graphical Representation: Hi friends. In this session, I will be showing the graphical representation of this String Art. This graphical representation will give you a good understanding of the design and the step-by-step process to complete this project. Choose the dimensions based on the size of the wooden platform. As we have seen in the previous session, I took 380 millimeters of square platform for doing this String Art. The first step is drawing a square. And divide the square, as you can see now. mark the points on each diagonal lines. There are mainly four steps to complete this String Art. For the first step, do the String Art as you can see now. You will clearly understood how to do this String Art. in the next session. For the second step, do the string art as you can see now. For the third step, you can do the string art as you can see now. The fourth and final step, just complete the string art at the center area only. I hope now you have a very good understanding about this String Art design. In the next session, I will be showing how to complete the string art design using thread. 5. String Art Instructions: Hi friends. In the previous sessions, you have learned about the tools and materials used for this project and also have learned how to create a platform ready for doing String Art And you have also learned how to draw a design diagram and the step-by-step process to complete the string art design. With all these knowledge, we can start this session. Tie the string onto the nail-point and start doing the String Art as you can see now. You don't need to tie the string onto every nail-points. Just wrap around the nails and continue with the next nail-points as you can see now. complete this step by repeating the same process on other area also. Now the first cycle is completed. Repeat the same process on every other sections and you will get the result as you are seeing now. I will be showing some completed stages from my project as you can see now. For the next step, you need to connect the string as you are seeing now. Complete this step by repeating the same process on other area also. I will be showing some completed stages from my project as you can see now. Now the second circle is also completed. For the third step, you need to connect the string as you can see now. Complete this step by repeating the same process on other area also. I will be showing some completed stages from my project as you can see now. for the final step, do this String Art at the center of the design as you are seeing now. Repeat the same on the other three sections at the center to complete this String Art. Once you have completed all the steps, you will get the final result as you are seeing now. This string art is very simple and has a very simple steps. but it is very time-consuming. Take your time and complete the full process so that you will get a beautiful piece of string art. All the best... 6. Final Words: Hi friends. I'm really excited to see your project. Feel free to upload the photos of your project from any stages.
