About This Class

Welcome to Rendering AutoCAD Drawings in Photoshop.

Where you will learn how to convert a CAD floor plan into a beautiful colored one.

My name is Youssef Zidan, Graphic designer and I will be leading you through the course,

I graduated from the Faculty of Fine arts as an Interior Designer but soon transitioned to Graphic Design where I found my passion.

I worked as a Graphic Designer for more than 5 Years, then I started teaching in local institutes, after that I thought it will be great to share my knowledge online, Where I found my second passion which is Teaching.

I designed this course to teach you how to convert a CAD floor plan drawing to a beautiful colored layout.

By the end of the course, you will be able to render ANY kind of CAD drawings, not just floor plans.

We will start our journey in AutoCAD, I will teach you how to export your drawing with the right scale and extension in order to open it inside Photoshop, where the fun begins.

We will start by learning the tools and options we are going to use, then we will learn some useful techniques like how to make a seamless pattern, using gradients, blending modes and much more, after that, we will use what we have learned to make our final Design.

The ideal students for this course are Graphic Designers who want to learn a new skill, or of course Interior Designers and Architects.

You need to have a light background in Photoshop if you have a background in AutoCAD that will be great but not necessary because in our course we will be focusing inside Photoshop.

Feel free to watch the free lectures, and I will look forward to seeing you inside.

Learning and Teaching is what I do and it’s what I’m good at.

During life journey, I was struggling to find my talent, I didn't really know what I am best with.

So what I did is learning a lot of skills in many different fields.

I started with Graphic Applications, I learned Photoshop and Illustrator then I felt I need to learn Photography and I transitioned to music, I learned how to play the Guitar and I found Web Development will be such a great skill to learn, and much more, I learned all that during my University study as an Interior Designer.

But I didn't really find something to fulfill my passion.

Then I found out that what satisfies me is not a particular skill, it’s learning itself, and teach... See full profile

1. 1 Introduction: hello and welcome to rendering or against drawings in for a shop where you will learn how to convert this Cape Lord land into this beautiful one. My name is uses. Then graphic designer and I will be leaving you through the course I graduated. Profit Kulti point ours as an intern designer, but soon transition to graphic design. When I found my passion, I work as a graphic designer for more than five years. Then I thought it would be great to share my knowledge online. By the end of this course, you will be able to render any kind of care, Jones, not just your plans. We will start our journey in for okay. I will teach you how to export our drawings with the right scale and extension in order to open it inside for a shop where the fun begins, we will start by learning the tools and options we're going to use. Then we will learn some useful techniques like helped make it seem this better. He was ingredients bending moods and much more. After that, we will use what we have learned to make our final design. The idea of students for discourse are graphic designers who wants to learn a new skill or off course. Interior designers and architects. You need to have a light background in for a show if you have a background in Okay, that would be great but not necessary, because in our course we will be focusing inside Barbershop being free to watch the three lectures, and I will look forward to see you inside. 2. 1 Connecting Lines: our journey begins inside or oh, kids, In this video, we are going to prepare the Oracle file in order to prevent any problems after importing it inside for a shop. What you need to do before plotting the file is to make sure that there are no gaps. What I mean by that is when we zoom right there, we will find this line is not connecting with that line which leaving a gap and believe me , that will cause an issue inside for a shop. When we try to cull, arise this area. So I need to extend this line like so. However our breast control Z toe undo in order to show you how to fix this problem inside for a shop, if you missed a gap or two 3. 2 AutoCAD Unites: before we blow our plan, we need first to talk about units in. Okay, when we make a line and pipe that dimension three for example, Are we making here three meters? Three inches For what? Exactly? Actually, you are making a line with three units and inside the auto cad file, you need toe. Identify the unit you wish to work with. If you click on the arrow can I couldn't hear and went toe drawing utilities. Then units you will find here the units I am working with, which is meters you can find here. Of course, in the unit you wish to work with. I want Greece cancel. So now we know that this line is three meters. However, I didn't define the units in the previous menu. Isn't that important in our case? Because you're ahead will ask us again about the unit we are using. When we press control be for plotting you will find here in the plot scale section or get asking us about the unit. You are maybe wondering right now. Why then drawing units menu It exists. The answer is in many cases, we need to import it Can't file into another software, like three DS max, for example. So in this case, you need to identify the unit you are using. 4. 3 Plot: Now it's time to plant our plan. Toe a. Pdf file in order to import it inside for Russia, our press control p and in the printer name here I will choose TWC two BDF and in the paper size, I will choose a landscape A to paper, then in the port area. Let's choose Window Angela a rectangle around, drawing like so. Then take center upload to center it on the paper. And now let's choose the scale un chick fit to paper and his help to choose the scale. I need to infer a rocket that one meter equals one unit. And in the drop down menu, there is no meters option Onley millimeters and inches. We all know that one meter equals 100 centimeters equal 1000 millimeters. So I will type here 1000 millimeters, which means one meter that equals one unit. But in this case, I will put the file with scale. Want one and this is too big for our current paper size. So I will type here in the in section 25 to put the plan with scale 1 to 25 and click preview. Now I need to make all the lines in plague, since it's hard to see these colors on a white paper. So our escape and click that arrow. If it's minimized like that and choose from here monochrome and he'll you can change the drawing orientation if you need to. But in my case, I don't click preview again. That's perfect. And now our press right click and choose float. Choose a name and a destination, then click See. 5. 1 Importing the PDF File: Now it's time to import the BDF file inside photo shop Goto file open and locate the Billy A file that you have floated. Then click open change crop to to Media Box to prevent any cropping the resolution. I will make it 120 pixels per inch and the color mood. I will make it C M y que because they finally out will be printed. Then click OK, you will find one layer double click on its name and rename it to CAD and right click and choose any color to make it easy to be found among the layers our choose red. Now hold control and click right here to make a new layer. The reason why I held control is to make the new layer below the active layer. Now I will fill the new layer with white in order to see the plan better. And the easiest and quickest way to do that is to use the shortcut, which is controlled backspace, to fill it with background color or outback space to fill it with foreground color. In my case, I would place control backspace to fill it with white. Now I will rename it to white background and I will lock it and now our file is ready 6. 2 The three Main Options: when it comes to render or colorize an or a get file inside. For a shop, you're going to you with three main options. Those options are solid color, brilliant and patron. Solid color is to make just a solid color. Obviously, ingredient is to make a transition between two or more colors, for example, from red to blue or from dark red to bright red. And also you can make a transition from color to transparency that's helpful for breast texture effect by talking about textures. Better is to make texture. For example, would tiles fabric it Sentra, and after that, we're going to add shows, highlight styles, etcetera to make them. 7. 3 Selecetion Tool: In order to make anyone off those option we discussed in the previous lecture, you need to select the area we wish to render. Cornershop provides many tools off selecting, but in this course, we're going to use mainly the Magic 12 It's located right here and hit his Healthworks. It's tool of those as it's going. Options here in the Options bar and Magic Oneto is no difference. Make sure that the continuous option is turn it on and simple on layers is turning off. I will show you why select the layer that has the closed best, which in our case will be the cat here and click right here to make a selection. Now our press control, the to de select and I will turn off the contiguous option. Now when I click, it will select everything that is similar to the point I clicked on, which is transparency. So it's elected old layer except the black lines, and you can see which, of course not what we want. Our base control D and turned it back on same thing with sample all layers because in this face, while I'm selecting the lift shape in the layers panel. When I click on the right shape, it will select it because it will look for all the layers. Not only the selected one, and I don't recommend that, although it looks a good option to work with, because we are going to deal with a lot of players, and that would make unwanted or distorted selections. So again contiguous on and sample all layers is our. 8. 4 Solid Color: in this video, I will show you how to use the solid color option. First, I was like the walls with magic One tool. Make sure to select a cat layer contiguous on and sample all layers is off. Now let me zoom. Click right here and as you can see photo shop with. Select the transparent area continuously, so I need to hold shipped. Notice the plus sign and click on the rest off the walls. Now press on that icon and choose solid color and choose any color for me. I would choose black. Now, notice that for a shop has made a solid color layer with a layer mask. And this method is really flexible not only for changing the color by double clicking on it , but also if you want to fix some issues like this world that I didn't select intentionally to show you how to use a layer mask. So here is the concept off the layer mask, black conceals or hide and white reveals or on hide. I would hold, shift and click on the mask to this cable. It temporary Now, as you can see, the solid color layer is actually covering the whole document. But with mask, it's only revealing the walls that we made by selection. I will hold ship and click on the mask a gain. Let me hold out and click on the mask to see it individually to get the idea. Can you see black is hiding the color and white, revealing it. I'm sure you got the idea, our results, and click again on the mask. Now, with this concept, we don't need to make a new selection with a new select color layer to fill the missing. All. We just need to select the missing part and to let the layer mask, then fill it with white toe on hide the color. And since the white is in my foreground color, so our press old backspace and then controlled the to de select. And that's it. Our results to show you the update off the mask. I will continue coloring the furniture with the same steps. I didn't make everything by select color because we are rendering furniture throw so we will need textures more than just solid colors 9. 5 Easy Modifications: In some cases, you need to modify a layer, but it's hard to find it among the layers, so the best way to do that is using the move tool with are a select option. Turn it on, then click on the layer here in the canvas to selected in the layers panel, and then you can easily adjust it. And in many other cases, you need to sample a current color toe, make a darker or lighter version of it. So let me make a selection first and then just make a solid color layer, and when you move the cursor outside the color parks, the cursor will change. Toe the eyedropper tool just clicked. Assemble the color you like, then make it darker or lighter. Now I need more space here in the layers. PanAm. So our click right there and choose an option. Then our reduced the layer size 10. 6 Pattern: in this video, I will jump toe better and discuss Grady Int later. Before we start, I recognized that I missed this world, so let's fix it. And also I will make a solid color layer for the toilet thing and bridge. Nothing new. And now the technique we used with solid color is almost the same. With better, we have to start by selecting the area we want to render, Then choose better. I'll select the main floor and make and better layer, and it's expend this menu you can find here. Some pictures worship provides, and if you click on that gear icon, you will find more fixtures for example, color paper, and when you click on it, Photoshopped will ask you whether remove the current textures and replace it with the new ones. So you have to pick OK or if you want to keep both of them so you will have to click append . I will press OK, but in our case, partnership people batters are not going to help us in our project, so we will make our own custom fixtures from images you can find online. However, I would provide the textures we are going to use in the exercise files? Well, free to use your own if you wish to, of course. And in the next video, I will show you how to make modify and choose textures to make custom patterns. 11. 7 Making a Custom Pattern: Now let's make a custom better. You can find the texture holder in the exercise file with this lecture inside it. Some images we are going to use to make our patterns. Let's start with wood stairs Duck J big to make a bedroom, simply goto edit. Define better. But before making the battle, we need to prepare the image first toe, make a seamless better and prevent any repetition. And what I mean by repetition is this. As you can see, the image is re beating in an annoying way, So we need to fix this problem as much as we can. To do that, I will use a filter called Offset. But first we need to define the image size. So I will goto image, image size and remember that number 340 pixels because we are going to use it later. Now go toe, shelter, other and absent. And here is how it works. First I was elect set toe background to get the idea and I will move this image up right, Like so Now everything went to the right side will come back from let side and everything went to upside will come back from downside. And, of course, everything went to that corner will come back from the opposite corner. Using this concept, let me choose Wraparound on. Type the hair off the image size, which is 170 pixels in both vertical and horizontal to center the ages like that and click OK now I will try to remove these edges toe. Blend everything together, using spot healing brush to or any tool you find suitable for the image and brush. Like so, let's define it as it better. And let's make a new big document and apply the better. The result is absolutely better than this one. You're maybe wondering right now. What if I want to make more complicated, seamless pattern like those? The answer will be in the next lecture. 12. 8 Making Complicated Pattern: In this video, I will show you how to make a complicated, seamless pattern like this one. The procedure of doing it is really simple. We will use the same filter faucet, so let's get started. Choose any PNG image you like and open it inside for a shop. Make sure that they can. This is a perfect rectangle. Then center the shape. To do that, I will make a new layer below the shape layer and I will fill it with any color. It doesn't matter. Then I would select both of them and aligned them toe the center vertically and horizontally, using the move two options. Now I would lead this layer. I don't need it anymore. And I would select the shape layer and duplicated by pressing control J and hide the bottom one for now. So, like the up a run and scale it down a bit. Now I will goto image emphasize to define the campus size by 100 pixels, and I would go toe filter other opposite and type behalf off the size as usual. As you can see, we filled the four corners now on hide the first layer and maybe scale it up a little bit and maybe rotated as well toe make diversity. Great. Now we need to make the background color. I will use a simple, select color layer. Then I would go toe edit, define better, give it the name and Chris. Ok? And there were done. Let me show you what we have made. Awesome. 13. 9 Fixing a Complicated Pattern: Another example of fixing complicating pattern is this one. As usual, I will goto image Amos size 324 Texans all right, and I will goto filter officer and I half off the number and that was base. OK, now, in this case, I can just use spot healing brush to it will make it worse. Instead, I will lose another technique. I would go to view new guide layout. I would make two rows and two columns with zero gutter to define this center off the image . And I was select the rectangular murky too, and I will select this quarter then our best control J W. Kate it. After that, I would go toe in it, transform, let horizontal and move it in the other side. Great. I will do the same thing in the upper half. And now let's merge all the layers by selecting them. Been pressing control e awesome. Now let's check that everything is OK. Instead of going again Toe filter. Other offset. We can repeat the last filter we applied here. It's saying offset! I think this line need to be removed. It's moved again with spot healing barstool. Great. Let's check again. Perfect. Now our pattern is ready. Let's go toe edit. Define batter 14. 10 Rendering Textures: Now let's give our drawing some fixtures. I will start with this bed over here. If you remember in an earlier lecture, I left this gap to show you help to fix this in for a shop. I believe you know now why gaps are bad things. Because if I want to select this triangle area, for example, the selection will go through this gap to select that area. And to fix this, simply select the pressure to choose a hard brush. Let's zoom a bit, then scaled the brush down, using the opening bracket to make the weight off the brush as the weight. As the ROK headlines, make sure to select the kid there. That's really important. Then click and hold shift and click here to make ST Fine. What holding ship does is making straight strokes. Great. Now I will select this area and click on that like oh, and choose better. I have already made all the images I provided as batters. I would choose this. Then I can adjust the scale by clicking here. Then using the scroll wheel, I will meet these steps to the rest off the drone. As you can see, sometimes I miss a part or two and I simply fix this, using the mask off the better layer as we learn it. 15. 11 Fixing Issues Manually: in this video, I will fix these two areas manually using subtract option with the selection tools to make it clear. I will make a rectangular selection here using the rectangular marquee tool. And when I press and hold old noticed this minus sign. When I click and drag like this, it will subtract this area that I selected. But in our case, I will use the same technique here in the layers panel. However, I will use a slightly different shortcut. Then out. Let's start with the easy one here. I will select this area using the Magic one tool. Then I will select the rectangle marquee tool. After that, I will hold hold a click and drag like so Now I want to fill this area with the floor layer . So I was like the move to, but the select is on. Then I will click here to located in the layers panel as we learn it and simply select the mask and fill it with white. Let's make it again. Here in this area. Select. They cared layer, then select this area, and now I want to subtract the floor layer so I will locate it and here in the layers panel instead, off pressing Just old here in the mask I will hold with the old big control key Because old Onley want work here in the layers panel, it will show me the mask. Now let's go to this part. I will use the same technique. I will carefully make a rectangle like this. Now I want to subtract big kid lines again Out. Only want to work here so I will hold control with it. Notice the mind A sign. Now we have subtracted the headlines, but we didn't subtract the empty inner area For this. I will simply use the magic one tool and holding old. Notice the minus and click right here. So now basically I am selecting this area and this area I will locate the restroom layer and fillets mask with why if for some reason this result doesn't happen to you, make sure in the restroom layer is above the floor layer. Because if the floor in the top pace would happen this video maybe a bit tricky, especially for beginners. You may want to watch it again. That's fine. But as a conclusion, I just used the subtract option with old when I am selecting the tool and control with old when I am working here in the layers panel. 16. 12 Gradient: in this video, I will talk about brilliant, to be honest with you. I don't use glue radiant very often in projects like that. But I won't be doing my job if I didn't teach you how radiant works, because you may find it useful in your own projects. So let's get started. Let's consider a situation like that. As usual, we will select the area that we want to render and click on that icon, then choose radiant and click right here, just like the pattern. Further Shop provides some greedy INTs here. If you want more, click on that gear icon and choose any one of those. Let's say pastels and also the same message will appear okay to remove the current ones, and a pent is to merge them together our breast up in this time, then choose integrated you like. And in this line you can modified it. If you wish to, like reposition these slides, you can do that by numbers here, or even delete them by clicking and jack out like that, or to select the slide and click. Delete here and you can end and you slide by just clicking right here and If you wish to change the color, simply click on the slide toe, activate it and choose the color you like from here. Some ingredients has transparency like this one. You can control it from these other slides, and, of course, you can add transparency. Slide also by clicking right here in the upper area. Let's elect one of those right now and now. You can mentally change the position by clicking and dragging. Like so while this menu is still active and you can adjust the angle, the scale and the style. Usually in project like that you will stick with the linear style. And if you want to reverse the ingredient, you can use this option. And now this is really important. When you work with radiant and want to render this area, for example, we learn it before that. We doesn't need to make a new grading player. We can use the mask right. Let's do it and notice. Now the difference. The ingredient will spend through this area to cover the two areas. If you remember, it starts with this color and ends with that color. When I deactivate the mask, you will see it better so when you work with brilliant, you will need to make a new, radiant layer for each area. But make sure that this option is on toe align the greedy int just with the selected area. 17. 13 Using Gradient: Now let's render some areas using radiant Before we start. I want to say that I have rendered the rest of the walls and the doors as well with black using the mask off this layer. I don't know why I didn't do that earlier, but this is how it works with barbershop in general, you keep updating and changing. And Phil, what you have missed. All right, I will zoom right here. I would work with these two areas, select the cared Layer and the Magic 12 and select this area on Lee because I don't want the greedy int to spend between these two areas. Then as usual, click here and choose Grady int and click right here. The 1st 2 auctions is associate ID with the background and the foreground colors. Currently they are black and white. So this ingredient is from black to white. And this one is associate ID with the foreground color only. If I changed it, you will see the difference. But anyway, I will change the colors. Choose this one, then click here and choose in medium gray color. And it's changed the other one to a dark gray color change the angle if you need to. And also I will reverse it and maybe click and drag here to reposition it. That's it. I will click OK, and for these circles I will make a dark grey solid color layer. Let's complete. Also, I will use light, angry colors, but I will play with slide here. First, I would change the location off that 1 to 50% and change this one toe dark gray and then I will hold out, then click and drag to duplicate it. After that, I will change the color off that white to light gray color. Then click OK and let's change the angle toe 45 degrees. And for those two areas, I will make a medium grey solid color layer setting up for this. Listen and see you in the next video. 18. 14 Making Reflection with Gradient: In this video, I would use grainy int to give this marble some reflection. I was elect Big Kid layer and select the marble area. Then I will click here and choose radiant. You won't see anything because the layer is below the marble Better layer. So I will click OK for now. Then click and drag this layer above these pattern layers like so and then the like here and click here I will use his Grady int as a starting point. First, I would move this handle to 50% and I will make the opacity here 0%. Then I will make a new opacity controller here also in 50%. But I will make its capacity to 100%. So now I have a greedy int from 0% to 100%. And then back to 0% on I was the white Toby narrower. So I will reposition these controllers like so then click ok and change the angle toe 45 degrees. Just the position. If you need to click ok again and then I will reduce the opacity off the whole layer toe. Maybe 40%. That's it. Starting from the next video, we will talk about giving our plan some depth 19. 15 Blending Modes: before we start talking about giving our plan some depth, I would like to talk about blending moods first. Why? Because we're going to use blending moods with shadows and highlight eventually to give our joining some depth. I have here some transitional layer from 100% white toe, 50% gray and finally 100% leg and a simple shape. You can find the blending mood menu here. When you click, you will find many blending modes, blending moods. It just a computer algorithms used to blend the colors among layers. In this particular course, I will talk about the 1st 3 sections. Specifically, multiply screen and overlay. Normal off course, which is the default, has no effect. Let's choose, multiply oy and move it above. It is shaped as you can see it, eliminated in the full white and kept before black, and the shades of grey are darkening the layer beneath it. So basically this mood is perfect with shading. Of course, the rest of the section does the same thing, but with slightly different effects. Let's choose this time scream. As you can see, it's basically the opposite. It kept the full 100% white and got rid off full 100% plank, and the shades of grey are frightening the layer beneath it. So this mood is perfect with highlights. Also, the rest of the section does the same thing, but with slightly different effects. Finally, let's choose overly and overlay is basically a combination off, multiply and screen more to black is targeting the layer beneath it and more. Dwight is frightening also the layer beneath it. This moon is perfect, with both shading and highlighting, especially with colors rather than pure black and pure white. As we will see, one final thing about overlay is perfect. 50% gray will be eliminated. 20. 16 Global Shading: Now let's start given our plan some death. We will start when shading in this video, we will make the global shading Here in the floor. I was select the crush too, with a soft brush and a dark gray color. Locate the floor layer with moved to go to select, then create a new empty layer above the floor layer and maybe shadows to be organized. And I will hold old and click here in between to clip this new layer to the floor layer in order to make everything I paint here in this layer to be applied only here in the floor layer. Let me show you what I mean when I brush like so the effect will only be visible in the floor layer. Let me remove the clipping by also holding old and click here in between to see the result without it. I'm sure you got the idea. I will clip it again. And then I reduced the opacity off the brush toe about 30%. Now everything is ready. So let's start here in this area. Let's imagine that this area has a light source here in the center, so the main shadows will be in a circular direction here, here and here, and a bit of shadows will be in the opposite direction. But also there is a light source coming from here, so we have to consider that Let's start here with these chairs just the size of the brush by pressing, opening and closing bracket keys and let's brush like so the result is a bit ugly, so let's change the blending mood to multiply. Oy much better. Let's complete. The reason why I made the shadows in a separate layer is to have the flexibility to We defied it later. If I want to, you can use the razor to and play with its capacity to modify the shadows. Or you can adjust the opacity off the shadows layer individually. Here, let's make some shadows in this area as well. Same thing. The light source would be also here in the center, so the main shadows will be here, and that's one. Shadows will be here. As you noticed. I keep increasing and decreasing the size of the pressure, depending on the area and the result I'm looking for in general. The bigger the brush, the smoother results. You will have. I will continue painting the shadows to the rest off our plane. As you can see, the restroom area and the outdoor area. I made a new shadows layer above these layers and also clipped it and change it. The planting moved to multiply. 21. 17 Local Shading: In this video, we will make the local shadows with furniture. The process is a bit identical, like we did in global shadows, but we will select each part manually, using the cared layer. Let's also start here with this chairs. I will use the move tool with auto select toe. Locate the chairs layer, and then I will duplicate the kid layer by pressing and holding old and drag it like so and what it here below that year's layer. The reason why I did that is to make it easy for me to select the areas I want to render instead of scrolling every time toe approach that, as usual, I would make a new layer above the chairs layer and they meet shadows, and it's okay to clip it as well. Let's start with this area, so let the kid layer and the magic one tool and click here. Now select the shadows layer and the brush with soaked brush and under gray color. If you are looking for better results, you can always choose a darker vision off the area you are working with by clicking here. Then make it darker. But I will tell you a trick that I used to get more purse ice results. I would choose a dark gray color for now and make my shading like so. Of course, you have to consider the light direction toe. Make it national as much as you can, then double click on the shadows, layer itself and choose color overly and pick the color you like. This way, you have an extreme flexibility. The shadows is on its separate layer. You can modified it with capacity or deleting using the razor and little if you were to adjust the color. You can do it easily by double clicking again and pick the color you like. Let's continue shading the chair and lead to mount Great. I will continue shooting the rest of the furniture with the same. 22. 18 Global Highlight: in this video, we will make the global highlight. The process is identical to the global shading, but we will change the blending mood. Let's start with the main floor here, his usual. Let them move to with auto. Select on to find the floor layer among the other layers and make a new layer above it and name it highlights. Then select the brush tool with a soft brush and just the opacity. I will make it 50%. Then click here and like hell in the floor and choose a proper version like so. Of course, it is a light coming from here, so let's make it also hear from that window here and here as well. Now changed the plant mood. This time I found that overlay is perfect for that color and this particular floor ground image. Let's make the highlight here in the restroom as well, and that's it really simple. In the next video, we will make the local highlight 23. 19 Local Highlight: In this video, we will make the local highlights. As usual. I will locate the layer that I will work with using the move tool and make a new layer and name. It highlights. It will be automatically clipped because there was a clip layer, which is this shadow layer. Select the brush and bacon orange color like so, change the layer mood to overlay. I found this mood is perfect for that color and its background color, which is this yellowish color off course. If you have rendered another color for the chairs, you can pick any color you like. But maybe overlay mood would be perfect. So you will use any other mood like scream, for example, and just the opacity of the brush and brush legs. So and now I will repeat the process here in that area with off course, a different color. Most of the time, you will work with a pricier or more saturated color off the furniture color, like in these chairs, big that color and make it brighter rush like so and changed of living mood this time to scream. It's a slightly better ben overly mood for this color. Now I will repeat the process for each window and, of course, the outdoor area. You just didn't stick with a particular blending mood for whether shadows or highlights. It's totally depending on the color itself and the color beneath it, which will blend with it. After all, Sometimes I didn't use lending mood at all like here in the local shading, because I like it the effect. Without it, it's all up to you. Of course. Feel free to pick your own colors, try different moods, then we used and have fun. 24. 20 Another Depth Effect Technique: in this video, I will show you another technique off making adept effect, and I will use it with this area. Let's look it the layer we want work with and double click on it to open the layer style panel. Or you can right click and choose blending options. The first effect I want to talk about is inner shadow, as you can see. Once I activated it, it made the inner shadow eventually to make a depth effect off course, you have the flexibility to adjust the shadow as you like by assembly, clicking and dragging like so. Or you can adjust the direction in more precise way by numbers using the slights. Let's make the angle 30. Assuming the light coming from that direction the distance I will make it seven for the choke. I will make it 15 and lastly, I will make the size eight off course. You will change these values depending on the effect you are looking for and the size off the layer itself, and you can just the opacity off the shadow using this opacity slider. Let's make it 35. One more thing I want to talk about is the blending mood. As you can see, it's default is multiply because, as we discussed before, multiply, most of the time is a good mood for shadows. But of course you can change it, and also you can change the color from here. I will click OK for now, select this layer and also double click. And this time I will choose Babel and impulse tow. Make it bump a bit off course. We need to adjust the values for this particular layer. I will choose for the style M bus technique. Just hard direction up. Of course. For the size, I will make it three Exel's and softness. I will make it zero pixels for shading. I recommend using the default values. Also, if you notice here, the highlight is screened by default and the shadows is multiplied also by default and he you can adjust the colors and that's it, for now, that zoom out perfect 25. 21 Mixing and Matching: you can mix the two techniques I showed you to get more, better results, and in this video I will show you how I want to make this pillow bum. But as you can see, the pillow and this area off the blanket are in the same layer, so it is what I am going to do. I will look for the kid layer, which has the read mark, so it's easy to be found among these layers. And with magic warm tool, I will select the pillow area. Then I will use the move tool to locate this purple solid color layer, and I will make a new silicon layer above it. It can be any color. It doesn't matter. I will name it bump and clip it. Then I will double click on it. And here, in the main blending options, I reduced the fill opacity to 0%. What is different about Philo Busty and the regular reversed E is Phil. Oversee hides the content itself but doesn't hide the effects applied to it. So when I make PayPal and embossed to it, it will be visible. I will choose pillow in parts. Of course, The technique our choose Smooth. The depth 200% is good sized in pixels also is good and softness. I wanted to be self, so I would make it 15 pixels. Now the shadow direction isn't correct. The light source is supposed to be here in the center and from the window. Right? So if I change the angle to, let's say 170 degrees with this option is on use light, it will change the light source globally. You can notice this part changes as well, so I would bring it back to 30 and then turn it off. After that, I will make it 170 again. Then press OK, You can leave it like that. But for me, I'm not happy with the results. 100%. So I will use the other technique off shading much better. I will do the same thing with that bet 26. 22 Final Retouching: in this video, we will make the final retouching to our plan. I will use an image off a plant. I just Googled blanked top view, and I found this image is bidding good to be used. Let's open it inside for a shop. I need to remove the white background so I will unlock the layer first. Then I will select the magic. Razor Contiguous is off to remove all the white pixels. Perfect Now, before clicking and dragon with the move tool, I recommend to select the first layer, whatever it is, then click and drag with the move to em, but it here so it will be the first layer here to prevent any accidental clipping or any other issues. Now I need to scale it down. So our press control T and I will hold shift to prevent any distortion. Been click and drag like so great press. Enter now I will use the blending options to make a drop shadow. Let's name it first. Jews drop shadow Opacity, 40% angle. 20 degrees distance. 15 pixels spread zero fixers and size. I guess 15 is good. It's OK now List duplicated by holding old, then click and drag like so and that's it. 27. 23 Goodbye: congratulations. You have made it to the end of this course. I hope you have enjoyed the course and learning something new. Now you have the skills to render any kind of cared projects. Whatever. It's a floor plan or vertical section like this one. For example. As you can see, almost all the techniques we learn it have been made to this project. You can do this here is a better. Here is a Grady int, and here is a solid color. And here is in a shadow effect. And of course, some images like this state you the furniture and chandeliers. One thing we didn't use in our floor blend, which is these light sources. This is called I E s, and it's commonly used in sections. Van plans. And that's it. Thank you for taking this course. My name is users then and I hope to see you soon.
