1. Introduction to the course: Welcome to the Power 0.2013 crash course. If you were searching for a comprehensive guide which will take you from total newcomer to an advanced Power point user, you've come to the right place. I know you are busy. You do not have 20 hours to learn a super big, comprehensive power point course, But you want to know if PowerPoint is the right to for you. And if the program can be efficient and usage well, this course will show you everything. I will go from A to Z. The most important tools, the most important steps in the shortest amount of time. I have divided discourse in tow several chapters, so the beginner users and the more sophisticated users off PowerPoint will gain something out off it. I'm completely positive that you will be happy about taking this class and learn really a bunch of useful tricks 2. Your Assignment: hello again Before we proceed to the real content, I wanted to show you how to submit your project file inside of skill. Scher. It's very simple once you have a slight designed and I have here this example presentation , which I prepared to record some off the lessons off the course. And let's say this will be my product, which I would like to submit to Skill shirt. I can make it a bit smaller or leave it. This is and I go file safe as I click browse and I select to save it to Jay Peak or PNG. Let's say PNG presentation one and I will import this file into skill shirt. I saved this life off course. I click only just this one and I go to scale shirt. Once I arrive at skill Scher, I goto start project and I'll import the image I've prepared. I can even choose it as a time. They'll all right? I see. It's their presentation. One. PNG. I'll wait until the PNG uploads to this height. It will take a while. I can make it then smaller or bigger. It's just about right. So remember, it shouldn't be too big, because else it will go beyond the canvas. Here. I'll title my project and I can't even submit it here. Hey, I write something down. I go toe upload photo. I select the same image to upload my photo and likely gonna create project. This is all you have to do to submit the project you've done for this class. 3. Why I want YOU to succeed here: hello and welcome inside One of the first lessons inside of this course I want to be 100% honest. What is this course about? Why are you here? What we are going to learn and make sure that we all stay focused. So the first thing I want to say this is a power 0.2013 crash course crash course means I will cover the essentials off this program. But I want beginners and advanced users to benefit from this class. People with a variety off skills were on the roll. Some of those people have never opened Power point and are new to the program and would like to learn a few basics. Some of the people will know a little bit about it. But some of you, I'm sure, are looking for more advanced tips and tricks. And to refresh your skills or simply to enhance a bit, you wrote full and power point and stay focused and learn a course. This course is intended for each group off those people. And I will respect each one off you. You all will be my students and you can post discussions. Which off course answer But you can also help each other by posting and answering those discussions by yourselves. I would like to ask that each student will respect each other. No question is forbidden In this course. You can ask me the simplest thing. How to say for presentation. Don't be shy. Don't be afraid off anyone or anything. There is no gold middle where everyone will be satisfied. But I want to give and share the best experience I have And the best workflow tapes I have in Power Point. I hope you can respect that. This will make our work together easier. And we will surely get along as a student and as a instructor right now, I would like to make a statement off what this course is going toe teach you and what I want you to get away from it. This course will learn you the essentials off PowerPoint 2013. I want to make sure that you will be confidently opening power point in your daily workflow . You will be able to create simple presentations and you'll be able to use animations inside of those presentations. This is not an advanced course, but it will cover the necessary basics toe work fluently in Power Point. I believe that each person enrolled has some basic understanding off the office suit off. Microsoft Word, for example, has written something in those programs, maybe even worked with Power Point, but want to refresh their skills. Are learning something new. I will not cover the very, very basics. You know that this is a box and this is text. That's obvious. I want to say all those obvious things because I believe you can learn Power Point and such software on the fly while working on it. You just need to know how, when and where. And that's what this course is all about. Thank you for your attention in this first introduction. Every lesson, I hope I cleared everything out, and I really hope you will enjoy the content inside of the source. So now I'm done talking. Let's move ahead and go to the next lesson. 4. 2 Main Purposes of Using PowerPoint: two words in this lesson. Remember that this is a crash course. I won't cover everything in the Power Point world there is to cover in this course. I wanted to say to you that Power point essentially can be used for two purposes either to create presentations or to create animations and video. I think both of these areas should be learned separately because there are a lot to learn in terms, off presenting and in terms of animation. This is it for the introduction. We will now proceed to the real content. Were really start to explore the program and finally start working. See you then. 5. PowerPoint 2003 / 2007 / 2010 / 2011 MAC / 2013 ?!?: welcome in the first lesson in the introduction to the program just to kick things off. If somebody didn't use PowerPoint in the past, I wanted to quickly explain, Why are we learning Power 0.2013 and the newest versions off the program? Back in the days when we had powerful in 2003 and previous versions, it had still the old labeled, and it was a simple presentation software. In 2000 and seven, there was quite a revolution interest off the layout of the program Microsoft introduced the ribbon system driven system is a Quicken handy way off navigating through the program. Microsoft did this for older office programs, which means forward for Axl for access and, of course, for power point. For me personally, this was a great improvement, and I love the change, and working with prior point since then was a pleasure. And it got really better. If you are using any off these versions, please try to operate to the newer versions or delete them. They are simply outdated. Power 0.2000 and seven would be okay to use, but I am teaching this course from my perspective, from my perception and point of view on the program and from my personal usage as a professional designer. And for me, it's very important to have the future off, creating a video being able to export presentations, being ableto export animations to video power. 0.2000 and 10 introduced this feature as a native option. Inside of PowerPoint toe export. Any presentation to video everyone is creating YouTube videos, animations and so on. So for me, and I believe also for you, this is an essential and important feature. So you need at least power 0.2000 and 10 to work properly now and in the future with Power Point. There is nothing more to know about those versions. Off course. There are many changes, but overall, from my experience, I would say there is not much change in terms, off layout and animations and so on between PowerPoint 2007 10 Entertain, especially between 2010 11 and 13. Those versions are very similar, just minor upgrades and adjustments, so if you can get the latest version and we will work from there, these are the most important changes between those programs, which you need to know. Thanks for your attention. In the first lesson off the introduction section, let us proceed with the next lecture. 6. Learn Things "on the fly": I wanted to inform you that most of the time in Power point you can't go wrong. I want you toe learn while you will be working Because PowerPoint is a pretty straightforward toe. Most of the time it's dragon drop. So I really don't have to overthink everything and worried that you make something wrong while you're working, you're figuring everything out. And you can, for example, watch as I populate this slight a little bit. I go to insert and I choose a text box. I answered that textbooks and I wanted to write here, learn on the fly, learn on the fly. There are off course, several ways of making this. I could, for example, post separate text boxes for the learned text on the text and for the fly. But for now, let me make it bigger with this little icon. I believe this front doesn't quite work with this bird. So I go to the home tab to the fund selection and I select another fund, for example, something more bold. Or maybe that's too big. Um, I don't quite like this. Maybe the Kozuka phoned. Yeah, this one should work, and I double click on the first text, I go to the color selection. I choose the eyedropper and they dropped my eye on the little bird. As you can notice instantly, we are getting a simple design, and it's getting better and better just by working on the fly, not overthinking it. Maybe I select the second text, go again to the colors to the eyedropper and maybe select a lighter blue. And maybe for the flight text one last time, eyedropper And this car. Well, maybe this doesn't look perfect, but we have a simple design made out of a few words F you callers. That's the only thing I want to have on this slide. Maybe I select the first word. I make it italic and just a tiny bit bigger. Maybe 105 so it will be intact with the on the text. All right. I don't quite like this fund. I should change it. But for now, that's all right. I just wanted to show you a few simple principles off working in PowerPoint we have populated are slight with a nice Bert in a nice text. And that's the only thing I wanted to share with you. in this lesson, you will learn everything while working on a certain presentation or animation. I myself also learn each time I work in PowerPoint, and even now, if I'm teaching you something, I tend to look at the program differently from from another angle, because I know people must understand completely what I'm talking about and what I'm explaining. So it's also informative for me personally. Thank you for staying tuned in this lesson and let us move forward now toe a overview about the program. 7. Brief Program Overview: Welcome to the brief program overview here. I want to show you the most important things you need to know while navigating around the Power Point program. As you remember from the previous lesson, Microsoft introduced the ribbon system. We have quick access to the most important tools sorted in groups here on the ribbon. The first type is the file tap. This is the place where either safe your presentation or you exported to a pdf file or a video. This is important to remember because normally if you are saving a PowerPoint file, you just go to say for safe as and you browse where you want to save it. But if you are intending to post a PdF or a video, you go to this position later on. When you work often in Power Point, you could make shortcuts for yourself here on the quick access to over There was a reason why we made a few slides in the previous lessons. So it's now easier to explain. Power Point essentially is a presentation software. Right now we have four slides Insight off this presentation, this light we used previous to explain a few lessons I can freely rearrange its light to be above each other or in any place I want. I can also click on any slide and simply hit the delete button to delete it. I hit Control Z or commands thee on Mac. I think everything here is pretty self explanatory. On the top, we have our navigation toolbar on the left side, we have our slides, and in the middle we have our working area, which I'll explain a little bit more. Indeed, a later, important thing to know that you can always resize those areas. For example, if you want the slight, bigger or just light smaller. If you, for example, have only one slight, you don't need it. You just make it small and it will not bother you. This is useful because later on, we will work with animations will open up the animation pain we'll work with the background , will open the former background top, and right now I am not seeing very much of my slight. There is a nice button in PowerPoint 2013 which may help. It's here for on the bottom side, the last icon fits like to current window, so we don't have always to work With the size here and the zoom option, we can simply click it, and it will adjust a slight perfectly to fit the current window. I will make the animation paint smaller and, of course, close everything fit this light to the window. I'll make this light of its smaller because I myself don't like if it covers the entire screen and I don't see if I didn't left anything around it. All right, we know something about the navigations. Another important thing to know that you can always preview what you're currently doing here on the far bottom side who have the slideshow button. You can also activate it by hitting F five on the keyboard by hitting a five. I'm starting the preview off the entire presentation by pressing the arrow keys or the mouse button, I navigate to the next light. I hit the escape button, and I believe these were the most important things. When it comes to navigating through the program through the course, I will teach you a few things about the navigation. Now, I would like to give you an assignment. Please open up our point. Go to the slides here on the left side at the new slide, or a few more of new slides. Maybe delete everything in the middle and populate this light with anything you could find in PowerPoint. For example, go to the home type or to the insert tab and insert a shape. Answer the textbooks. Just play a bit around with Power Point. Won't you answer the textbooks right in anything? As you can notice, a new tab has appeared. This applies to everything you at in power Point. Want you at a shape or text or a photo. A specific former top appears, which applies only to the object you have currently selected. If you don't have time editing text, you can use word art styles, which are pre defined teams for the text. Let me select, for example, of blue on. Go to the home, make the text bigger, and I have instantly a design a quick tip about the former top, which is appearing. This is only a convenience off Microsoft toe at things. Once something is selected, you can off course change the text in the home tab just the same way as by going to the drawing tools and changing the text color here. It doesn't matter. It is only that on the home type, you have the front tools, and on this tab you are working on this particular object. So when it comes to the front change, it doesn't matter if I change the color here or I go to drawing tools and then change the text for here. But if I would like to fill the object the color of the object, I need to work here here because I have the shapes styles not only the phone styles but also the shapes, because PowerPoint is treating text phones and text boxes as shapes as well, so you can always fill them or added them or at some designed to it. Even if you think that it's only a fund, let me hit control or command Z to make it as before. So these were the really basics and an overview off the program. I really hope you will open the power point and half a few minutes of fun inside of it, making anything, and once you already please it over to the next lesson where we'll continue explaining the program and slowly start working on a more serious product. That's it for now. See you in the next lesson 9. Adding Anything Anywhere: for some of you. The last lesson. Maybe it was a bit overwhelming, but do not worry. As we were talking before, you will learn everything on the fly. Let me delete this ugly slight here and yeah, about some of the options, although intell detail later. But it is good that you already saw them, and I already have a little off understanding about them. The last thing I wanted to inquiry for before closing up the first section of the scores is in Power Point. You can drag and drop inside the presentation nearly anything as I was showing you before. I can, For example, press a chart just hit OK, and I have a chart inside of my presentation. Well, right now, it's pretty ugly, and overall, I don't like working with those charts here, but you get the idea. You can click on anything, for example, on the shape and edit into a slight. If you don't like it, you simply remove it by hitting the delete key. I told you before to have a few minutes of fun of Empire Point. If you didn't do this, please do that now because in the next lesson, I will start talking in a more structured way and we'll go one by one certain aspects of the program right now. I just wanted you to get fired up about the work. Congratulations on sitting through the first section. I hope I'm not annoying to you as a teacher. And I want to continue to learn with you and simply show you more of PowerPoint for now. Take care. See you then. 10. Working Area in PowerPoint: look at the bird. No, it obviously is. Off course Power point. Let us open up the next section where I will introduce you to some beginner, workflow and useful tips around Power Point. I've opened up PowerPoint and I can either click to add a new slide, or I can go to file you and choose a blank presentation to create my presentation from scratch. I do not recommend those templates because people have used them one million times. They are often used, they don't look professional, and at this point, I think they are all audit dated. So let me start with a blank presentation and talk a little bit about our working area. The area with the white background is exactly our slight. Once I hit a five to preview it, this is what is visible. Once the presentation or the video is life, everything around it will be not visible in the presentation, but can be used as a, for example, store room or to place items you want to use for later. Each slightly ad has its own area, so if you leave something here, you would need to click on it, copy it over if you want to use the same item on the next flight, okay, I'll go into the first slide. I will insert any given shape, maybe a rectangle by holding the shift key. I'll make it a perfect square, and now I have a rectangle. I'll press control C and Control V and copied is rectangle here, so health of direct angle is visible half off. The rectangle is invisible when I hit a five to preview the presentation. As you can notice, you have half off the rectangle insight off our real area. The health, which is outside, can stand out as much as we want. It won't be visible sometimes if you want to be precise. Sometimes if you want to be precise, you can cut down items to fit this light. Exactly. Why am I even talking about the working area when it's obvious that this is our slight and everything replace here will be visible. This is because this area around it can be very useful to edit objects. Let me get the control key or the command key on Mac and scroll out a little bit. As you see, we have plenty of room if you would like to use it. The only problem when you have much items outside of the slide is that part of point, its overall power point has a great feature because each thing we added, it's snapping automatically to be in the middle to be placed perfectly. If we have, for example, let me copy it a few times, A few objects, they will snap to each other. We see those little red lines appearing, and it makes the editing really easier. But want we have some items outside of the normal working area. They are also snapping to them. Often they are standing in the way. So the less items you have here, the better try toe work inside of the working area and place here things only that will be necessary or try to avoid snapping to them. Eventually, you can turn it into your advantage. You can place them perfectly on the top, and you will have some sort off automatic guides between them. You'll know when you did hit the bottom and when you did hit the top well, that's just a random trick you can use inside of the working area. I do not want to drag this lesson out too much. This is it for now. Let us head over to the next lesson. 11. Adding & Rearranging Slides: Hello. Welcome back. Let me jump to the next important topic. And what can be more important in the presentation software than its slides? We've took already an overview before about the program in about a navigation. And if you remember, the slight section is on the left side of the program. Here. We can freely work with the slight. We can rearrange them. We can add new slight. Or we can click on a slight it control or comments. See control V to paste an insert, a slight, and it'll copy with the same object and preferences. A useful thing to remember is, once you copy something, you have this little cycle which tells you that you can either paced using the destination team. They keep source formatting option, which is very useful. I will show it to you in a moment because it will copy the entire slide and keep its preferences in. The last option is to copy this light as a picture. As you see, we now have a picture of this light. Now let me show you what happens if I press control C and control V on the slide. It is copied. And what happens when I right click on it, go to format background and, for example, true's any grading for the background. I select this slide. I hit once again control C Control V and right now power point by default. And I guess all Microsoft Office programs used the same options. Copy using the destination team. If I would like to copy the blue background over, I would need to hit keep source for mounting while clicking on it. It'll keep all the options for marketing and preferences the previous light hat. So this is important to remember if you have a really big movie or presentation, you have hundreds off slights and you don't know where you were and what you are doing, actually, and would like to quickly rearrange them while it may help. If you make it a bit smaller, this left area You have also a special option for that On the bottom side, which is this light sorter. Once you click on the sorter, the entire screen is covered only by slight. I consumed them out a little bit by pressing on the zoom sign or, as before, fit them to screen. And now all the slides at one moment and I can free rearrange them. You want to shuffle the slide, something has changed. Now, if you want to go back, go to the normal view and the slights are rearranged. Okay, I'll delete most off the slights by pressing on the 1st 1 holding the shift key. Okay, it snapped away. Once again, the lead and I have my two previous lights as before, letting make it bigger. So I see the time nails, and this is it when it comes to inserting slight, shuffling them around and working with new slides. If you are done with the lesson action item for you is opening power point, adding a few slides and rearranging them in the slight sorter moat. Go to the slight sorter, work a bit around with it, go back to the normal view and then proceed to the next lecture. 12. The Selection Pane: hater. Welcome. In this next lesson where I want to show you the selection pain inside of Power Point, let me grab those ugly rectangles. Maybe I even get rid off the middle, Go to dry ankles, shape Phil and change a few callers of them. Okay, now I have different colors. You can instantly notice that one is above the another. Let's say I would like to rearrange this. If I click on any rectangle, there is the arrange button I can go to arrange and bring it to front. Bring it to bag, which will make it one level down or bring it forward or bring it backward. Clicking one of these will move it to the last position or to the first position. All these can be also achieved by opening up the selection pain. The selection pain is very useful in Power Point because it represents layers which are used on a particular slide. Let's say I will add also a shape, maybe a circle shape. Now the shape would cover up everything. I can move it around by clicking on those buttons, bringing it to fort or sending it backward or by opening this panel and sending it completely to back, sending it back boards. One time will move it in the selection pain by one position. So now we have the blue rectangle as I click on it several times each time I click, it goes one position below the previous object. If I would like to make it first again to cover up all of them, I could either click several times to bring forward are open up this panel. Gently bring toe front, bring it The front makes it the first item in the selection paint. You can either use this panel and click a few times here, or simply take the oval and drag it to the far bottom side. Now I see it's rectangle four. But if I'd like to grab the orange one, I'm not sure if it's rectangle eight or rectangle seven. This is why I can go inside the selection pain. Click on an object, just double click here and rename it to, for example, rectangle orange. This will be very useful later on if he moved to the advanced section, because once we will start working with the animations, let me quickly had to animations open of the animation pain, which is just the same as the selection pain. Only the selection pain is for objects, and the animation pain is for animations. Do not worry about this now. I'm just showing you a few principles that make it a fate animation the simplest off all animations. And once you are editing this animation, it has the name rectangle orange. If I had animate those objects, they would have rectangle four, and it's difficult to remember which animation goes to which object and where the object is . So always try to rename the object inside of the selection pain. All right, this is getting a bit too heavy for a beginner lesson, so let me quickly repeat the list. The selection pain, just like layers and photo shop, is showing you each layer that is visible inside of a slight. You can open up the selection pain either by going toe home, select selection pain or by clicking on an object, going to the drawing tools and clicking here also on the selection pain. I will open up the selection pain, and this is the all five object which I can fight on this slide are here in the selection pain If there are, for example, bothering you because you made an animation and the oval is first and now I can't edit anything. Remember that you have a little I I can hear You can simply select and be selected Sometimes if the names are too long, the I icon disappears. Just like now that's just something power point does. And you have to remember it. If you don't see it, do not worry. Just make this selection paint a bit bigger. So you see the little eyes Now you can to select everything you need and you can work on the existing object. Once you are done editing, you opened them up again and they will be again visible. Let me delete the Oval because it's really ugly. Okay, I have the most important things in the middle now, and this is it when it comes to selection pain. If you are not following a long, do not worry. These are the basics I need to explain to you now because later on, if you will work in Power Point, you'll already remember our This was the selection pain he has selected. He was clicking around and objects were disappearing. I get it. If I wouldn't tell anything about the selection pain and simply use it later, you wouldn't know where it came from and how it's used. So do not be mad, but continue with the lessons. Thank you for your attention in this extensive lesson about the selection pain. I hope it will be very useful for you now and in the future and see you in the next lesson . 13. Guides & Rulers: there is the possibility to use guides and rules inside of Power Point. If you want to even everything out and have a perfect graphical balance inside of a composition, There is a quick solution, which helps a lot. Let's say I want to arrange those objects on the left and right side. I see there are snapping properly, but are they evenly distributed on the left and right side? I don't want to be 100% precise with At least I would like to see if I'm close to middle or far away from it. You can let Power Point help you in two ways on the navigation type, head over to view and open up the guides instantly. Two guides appear a vertical one and a horizontal one. You can also open up the ruler if it helps you to work and measure anything on the slight. Well, the guide basically are perfectly in the middle, making the cross, but you can always select the guides and move them around party. I just helping us with a little number. How far are we going? Let's say I will go while here. I'll right click on the guide at another horizontal one and go Want to the bottom. Now I have a few guides which could help me to arrange those objects inside of this slight . The left wants will snap here. The right ones will snap here and I see approximately I'm away the same amount to the left and to the right. The best thing about those guides in Power point is that you can hide them really quickly only to select the strike box and they disappear. You can continue your work. Don't being distracted by them. If you need them again, just head over to view and open up guys again. If you want to go really in depth and make a perfect professional balance and even squares everywhere you can right click on the guides, select great and guides and check display Great on screen Here you can select how strong degree it is. For example, making the spacing one centimeter from each other, clicking OK and you have a detailed guide across the entire sleight. Personally, I'm not often using the great lines. You can get rid of them here. The guides are quicker to use, their simpler and they're not as distracting. So this is it. When it comes to guide, remember about them and know that you can use them to position everything properly onto a slide. 14. Working with Images: welcome in this. Begin our lesson where I want to show you how to insert an edit Images inside of PowerPoint . You may already know this, but if no, please take a look. I have here three product files, which are photographs. Let me drag them inside of the presentation. And right now I have the entire slide covered with big images. First, what I want to do is to make them smaller. All right? Like that 12 and three. Well, it appears they are still too big. Let's make them even smaller, something like that, and start working with pictures. Well, they are all even in size. It's invisible because here's white. But let me go quickly to picture tools and Justus any object. I can select a border for them. Let's select a red one. So you see what's going on? Okay, I have one picture on the left. One picture on the right. And how could I distribute them equally? I will select all three of them and by going toe picture tools, I can, for example, work with the Align panel. The Align panel can be used toe every single object in power 30.2 text boxes to normal shapes. Two pictures. It doesn't really matter, because these are simple optics. I will hit a line and distribute them horizontally. All right now, I have equal spaces between them. But on the first photo, I don't like the sky. I would like only the trees to be visible so I can select this photograph, go to picture tools and on the picture tool, something very important that this often used. We have the crop tool by clicking on the crop tool. I can work with the photo without changing the layout of the photograph. So let me extend this photo since it was big. Anyway, by holding the shift key to remain on the same proportions. And now I can select only the trees. All right, click once again on the crop to apply it. And we have applied a crop. We change the layout off the photograph. Next important thing. You can change the object by going here and clicking crop to shape. I can, for example, select a shape like that, and I have something interesting done with this photograph. If you want to take a shortcut and not mess around, if you have many photos. One is big, one is small and you don't have time to adjust everything. The photographs look like that you can select All of the photographs go once again to the picture tools here in the former type and select picture layout. Those layouts are basically not so useful, and they don't look as professional. But they're great to make all the pictures we have selected off equal size and then let us work from there. Let's, for example, select a layout like that. I have now a smart aren't created because the smart art is annoying. And if I recites this, the other ones will be smaller. But you can always do. You can right click on a smart art, go to Group on Group, and right now we have those images separated as equal objects, letting un group it once again. And I'm ready. I delete the boxes because I don't need them and in a few mouse clicks, by making a smart art out of it and unwrapping them, I have equal images Now I could select them. Go to the former type on the left side, go to edit shape, change shape. Let's maybe make a circle. And I have equal circle pictures in my presentation, which could be instantly used to present my work portfolio or anything. As you see, this picture has reset so we can go always to crop change. Anything you need. Crop again and you're ready with the photos. Remember this little trick and see you in the next lesson. 15. Adding & Working with Text: Hello. Welcome back. And our beautiful presentation with those rectangles. This will be most likely the most important lesson off this section. You may think what can be important in text boxes. There are just simple text boxes. You enter them, you change the fund and that's everything. This would be everything, but part of point has a specific way off dealing and using them. So leverage, shoreline, Explain the most important things you will need to know now and in the future. Why you're working in power Point. Let me go ahead and create in your slide. We will need someplace. So I delete the basic boxes. So I show you how to make them from scratch from beginning. You already saw that text can be inserted here with the textbooks. Let me get here. Enter the first text box. I place it here and right. This is a cool text. Really amazing. I'll instantly go and make it a big bigger so we will see what we are editing. As you see, Power Point is enlarging the textbooks as you make it bigger, but only to a certain point. So you can always take it and drag it out. The downside here is that we can't make it bigger on the bottom. Only when you press enter and address a new line it will go bigger. Let me explain all the options to change things up on the left side. Off the home tab, we have the found panel in the front panel. We change everything like the front itself, its size and making it bold, making it bigger, making it more narrow or more loose. I think this is pretty self explanatory. You need to click around to view all those options. On the right side, we have to drawing options which apply to shapes. This rectangle is a text box, but PowerPoint is also treating it as a object. Yes, I go to home select selection pain. You see, we have textbooks tree here, so it's also an object I can click here to make it filled. I can click here to make an outline here, and you can always go down to the options and make it bigger and, for example, changed the dashes to adopt one, and you're achieving some simple design around here. You can always get rid off NFL by going here to the property and choosing no feel. So now I have this ugly textbooks with an ugly text fund and with some ugly outline. Okay, the same options, like the front and the drawing options, are here in the former tap. So you may ask, why old this while you can make those things in two places, these are specific options, as I told before to the box, which is currently selected. So it's good that this is here. Because you have all options at once is just a coincidence that defense options and drawing options are here, and you can use them. Edit this box. Okay, let me go to the drink tools and show you what I usually do when working inside of PowerPoint and making some presentations. Most likely, you'll use all these, but it is just a tiny bit easier when you right click on it and go toe format shape. Inside the former shape type, you have all the necessary tools and options insight off one place. You must get familiar with this place I have here on the left side, the shape options and, on the right side, the text options. It is obvious that these will apply to this shape, and those will apply only to the text. Let me show you a few examples. The format shaped up is good because here will have all the options here. We only have a snippet. Let me show you an example. We have their fill options and the line options justice. Here you have to fill options and the outline options. But when I click on the outline options, for example, the weight I have only three points. Four points, six points and that's it. What if you would like to make 10 points or 20 points? A really big outline around some tax. This is why you need to click more lines, and the former shape type would appear anyway. So if you are going for very basic editing off this text, you can always go here, change the text Phil, change the outline. But if you need something a little bit more advanced, you always go here, for example, to the weight or the dishes, and go toe more lines where the appropriate option will appear and you have more control over it. For example, the transparency, for example, the transparency option which is very often used in graphic design. But it's not available. We had this panel okay, but this lesson was toe talk about text. Let me get rid off the outline. No, I would like not the text. No outline on the shape. Okay. I have the text plain and simple. I go to home, I make it bold, so it's even better visible. I align it in the middle, I make it even bigger. So it's really greatly visible. Let me extend this box because off course, the text is not too big. I come closer and we see everything inside of the text options in the firm. It shaped up. We have three instances and these are just as I have shown. You hear the text fill their text outline and the text effect. Only the turtle on here is different because it's about the positioning. But we won't me that we are positioning it automatically here as we see it. So the first step has the text Phil options and the text outline options and the 2nd 1 are the effect. I won't go through the effects. These are very simple effects. You can open up each effect and use the presets to see how they look and what they do. A really important thing to remember when it comes to editing text. If I select a certain text and I do a change to it for example, making it blue, it will apply only to the word I've selected. But if I click on the text and I go here and I select the entire box so it's not dashed, it's selected and likely here. It applies to the entire box. Okay, let me go. Control Z Control Z. I will split up this lesson and continue the fill in line options in the next one. But for now, if you never opened Power point and this is a little bit overwhelming for you now, please go inside of power Point goto Insert, Insert a text box just like I did. Write some text here. Right Click on it, go to format shape and by clicking on the text options here having the first a selected or the second where the text effects are, go and click around with each option. This will take you only a few minutes and you'll have a deeper understanding it will be easier for you to watch this lesson and you will already know what's happening. So see you in a moment when I get to the details about text filling an outline. 16. Finishing Our Text Journey: okay. The last lesson was really extensive and difficult. Let's go to something simpler and work a bit around with the textbooks. There is something important I want to show you between attacks box and the shape. I will make it smaller once I go toe insert answered shapes and entered a similar shape just as the textbooks I can start and right inside of the shape. So why do we have text boxes and why do we have shapes? Because they react differently to text. Once I write text in the shape, it appears completely in the middle. I can, for example, make no outline. No Phil, go to home, make the text. I'll use the eyedropper and make the text just the same way. I'll make it bigger. And you could say that you have two of the same objects here. I will even hit control be to make it bold, and now it's really similar. Well, a text box can't be direct out, but the object box can be make bigger like that. This is one difference. I would personally even say that I prefer to use shapes for text than text boxes because I have more freedom off, expanding it and editing it. But this is a topic for later. Right now I will delete it. Let's make this takes a bit more prettier. Well, this fund looks very plain and simple. Let's go toe Arani. And this color is also so ugly. Let me quickly change it. All right? Ed Green One would be okay. I have this text box. I go to my drawing tools. So I'm closer to the options I need. And I can decide whether I want to work here or work here inside of the text options. I know that I want to achieve some transparency, so I need to work here because transparency wouldn't be available here. Okay, let me just for fun. Make this text transparent. Now I can copy it over. If you have any trouble shifting it around, just use the arrow keys. Maybe go a bit closer. I have the arrow keys and we are achieving already an interesting effect just by cupping one text over the first text. The one behind was transparent. And this one I want to reduce the transparency because I just wanted to make a back line for it. Maybe I copy it one more time over just to see how it looks and I change up the color. I go to text Phil and I would like to select one more time a green one or maybe a yell, because the yellow has a great contrast and I just move it in another direction. Right now, we've achieved somewhat, often unique style inside of PowerPoint. Such a style would not be possible with those styles. But I also like to do. If you have several items which are the same, you can select all of them. You can write the condom, select group and group. Now we treat this object as one. You can always click your insight and find a certain group. But they are so similar that it would be difficult. But as I told you before, there is always the selection pain. If you need help selecting anything, let me scroll it out. I go to select selection pain and you see we have groups seven and old pretax boxes. Maybe I d select the ones now I can edit the green one. I'm done editing and I opened them up again. All right, I go back to the style, and I have everything back here on this light. What else options do we have off course if you click around, you already know this, but you can use the grade and fill the picture or texted feel that's not off news for the text. I use it more for backgrounds or for filling object and the pattern feel. Sometimes it has a cool feeling. For example, here, So grainy text with appear well, now it's a bit too invisible. I wanted a stronger yellow. What can we do about it? I guess. Nothing. Maybe making that orange Well, because now, inside of the pattern on Lee, the pattern is colored, so you need to select a decent pattern or make one on your own with the picture or textile full. Also integrated infill in the great infill. We have some specific transparency options because each color we used in the Grady INT has its own transparency. This can be used to achieve a cool effect, for example, that the first part would be invisible and the last part would be blue. Let me de select the scholar, just delete it and hit 100% transparency. Look, now what happens? The middle is invisible and the sites are blue. You can always change the type to linear the direction Maybe from left to right. Just like that. Okay. Sorry. I am jumping around on those options. But as you see, it all depends on what project you are actually creating. If you need to insert some pictures, you are working a bit differently. So it all depends on what your currency designing. I just want to show you an overview off possibilities. Personally, what I did like to do. I did like to watch certain designs over the Internet and figure out on my own. If this design is possibly to achieve in parchment most often it waas. If it wasn't, I learned some cool techniques on my own and figured out how to design something just by watching another design. So this is a good idea off. So this is a good idea Off practicing power point. I will end this lesson about the test because I think for a crash course we covered enough to make you start working with text, make you edit it, make some great aunt over it, make some calls and it changes. And you remember that you can work with the fund with the paragraph inside off the former type. And, of course, most importantly in the format shape, tap. Let me finish this lesson here. Thank you for your attention and head over to the next one once you're ready. 17. Adding & Working With Objects: all right, We've covered really much about the text, and we know how to work with text boxes. Shapes are very similar, so we will not have to go through everything again. But I want to show you a few important things about them, letting me quickly and you slide as always, get rid off everything and go to the Inter Tap. On the insert tab, we can insert pictures. We can insert Screenshots the most important thing, which is mostly used in power point shapes, smart, our charts and many more like audio video. Let me show you the shapes. I'll go to shapes and I will select any given rectangle. For example, around one like this. You place it inside the presentation just by clicking and dragging around. Depending on what shape are you currently editing. It can have a little yellow icon here, which is an indicator off any options that can be changed here inside of the shape. This time, we have a rounded rectangle, and we can change the amount off the roundness inside of the rectangle. If I will cook on the rotation by holding the shift key, it will rotate every 15% just as we had previously that we could wreck, tick on it and go to form it shape. We have more rotation options here, inside of the drawing tool in the former type in the rotate options. Once I click on them, I go more rotation options, and here the third tap appears, and we have everything here. We can change its position. We can change the rotation and the size of the box, for example, going to the amount off six degrees. That's it when it comes to size, rotating and working with any shape, an important thing. If you have a design, for example, we make those rectangles there, but rounded. Once we are doing a presentation, we see those objects and you see the text inside doesn't look good, and we would like to have circles instead off them. This is absolutely no problem. Just select any shape you need to change. Go to the former tab, and in the insert shapes tab, you have added shape. Go to edit shape, change shape, and you can change it to any shape you like. For example, as I was talking the circle, the circle right now is a bit in perfect. You could either go through the circle and by holding the shift, keep make a new proper one. Or click here and just adjust the hate and wit. If I will make the same amounts here, for example, nine and nine, I have now at perfect rounded circle, which is properly distributed. Not like this bowl, as if somebody would sit on it. The last nice feature I want to show you to not overall mute informations again, with working with shapes that you can achieve any custom shape you like in PowerPoint. Let me go to a rectangle. I'll place the rectangle here, and this requires some advanced editing. But it's important to know that there is the possibility to achieve that. In PowerPoint, I go once again to edit shape and instead off changing toe any shape. From here, I goto edit points. Now, as I come closer, I see I can edit the points off this vector object. I can write it, for example, here at point and have some fun with it. I can even use the best year handles to adjust the round ings on the corners. Well, as you see this is pretty advanced and you do not need to use this normally. But I just want to make you aware that there is the possibility to use it. Why would you, for example, need this? For example? I'm using a shape like a triangle. I want to cover this part with the triangle, but I do not want it to stand out as much as it does now. So I could go toe, edit, shape, edit point and edit the points a little bit like that. Maybe here, maybe going here, adding a point and it was covered this place and not stand out as much as before. So these are the essentials, really. The crash overview about adding objects, editing objects and working with objects. Always remember as before you can select each object. You can group them in one group and now you have one big object is especially useful If you would like, for example, to use the smart art. The smarts are look great, but they are really hard to use. If I have a smart art which looks really amazing and I make one object bigger, it automatically shifts all other objects and makes them smaller. I do not like this. So what I do when I'm working in apartment And if I use those smart arts, I could hear I go to right click. I go to group and on group them now I have a simple group like before I can resize the object and it wont mess around with all the other objects. That's it, for now about the shapes. Thank you very much for attention in this lesson about shapes and let's meet again in the next one. 18. Fun Bonus. TURTLE ATTACK!: this looks almost like a turtle. So why not use the knowledge we have until now and make something out of these? I will copy one object once more to fill out this space. Since I can't with this shape, I go quickly to drawing tools, edit shape, change shape. And I search for a shape which would work here. I instantly see that a trap is Oh, it obviously would be a good choice. I make it smaller. I position it here. Of course. That way longer. Smaller. Okay. Like that. We have the object here. Let's call the back off our turtle really quickly. I select the entire bag. I go to drawing tools shape Phil and I select a brownish color. Once I have the color selected, I go once again here to the Grady in tools. And we have here some light variations and some dark variations which PowerPoint has created for us. Let me choose the dark one. I think this is pretty solid, and our turtle is nearly ready. I won't also that our turtle has a nice I hear cycle toe insert shapes. I click a man, I maybe a little mount would be also useful. But right now I only want I I select the first object which is in the back. I select a new I I go to merge, shapes, subtract and we have the I cut out inside of this object. All right, The last thing I want to make us a little tail. I goto effort shapes once again. Maybe this one should be a good one. Well, again, I don't like the shapes I goto added shape At eight point I added this point. I could delete it but I think right now it's OK. We have my stale just changed to fill again to a similar color Like the back one is Well, the color is in perfect. I need to get rid off the outline. I make it smaller. We still should work with the colors. But what you can also do without worrying about everything I click on this shape I go to home former painter. I click on the former painter and I click on this object and this is everything. I just wanted to show you a quick workflow in power point that you can have much fun, create custom animations, custom objects. And until now, you've learned enough tools to create something like that on your own. Please continue with the course to learn more cool stuff like that. I hope you will have much fun learning because I'm enjoying to teach you this content, and I see you in the next upcoming lessons. 19. Let's Do A Nice Slide! (Part 1): welcome back in the course. Now I want to show you a real world example. Let's go together and create a good looking professional business light onto our presentation. Let's not waste and the time Go ahead and create a new slide. I will rightly here, as I have in my habit to eat everything all right, and we can start working to have some objects. Well, at under the slide, I've downloaded a few icons, a photo and a pattern for the background. Let us start with the slide. I right click on it. I will go to form a background, and I will select the picture or texter field. Since the original texture for empowerment is so beautiful, I had to download another pattern. So I goto file and show PowerPoint the pattern I've selected. I double click on it. At this point. The little pattern I've downloaded it stretched across the entire slide. What do you need to do when this happens? Is take this check box tile picture, ask texture. Now we have a nice texture. All right, let's answer the photograph. I want the photo just to cover a little bit off this design. I go once again to my project fights. And I dropped the photo right inside of PowerPoint. All right, now the photo is too big. I just wanted to have and nice shape. So I go toe picture tools. And by the way, you will learn how to work with pictures, and I'll use the crop to cropping. Allows us, of course, to crop and work with the picture. But what I want to do is to crop it to a certain object. I will click on this icon. I'll go crop to shape. I will go to Crop to shape and Crawford to this object or right? Right now, it's of course too big. I wanted it to be smaller. So once I have the object ready, I click on crop. I crop it by really much click again on the crop. All right. I think that crop is okay. You can always adjust the object, but basically, I think this looks neat. And since we already prepared such a good looking slight, why not use the text me prepared before? Let's take this text control C control V. Until this slide. Well, of course, we have to change the text, so I'll go manually and put here Title slide title slide titles light. All right, I've changed the text. Maybe I should also change the font. Maybe a lot of phoned, but not hairline. This is a custom fund. I downloaded it. I will go upper case. So each of the text is uppercase and we have some title here. Maybe it's too big, making it smaller. All right, this is interesting. I will divide this lesson into two because the slight is getting a bit advanced and I want you to follow along Why I work. So go last time to insert and let's insert a textbooks for some basic text. I have quickly copied some Lottum. If some text from the Internet, I will use the Leto hair line and adjust its size to about this amount, not making it too big. Maybe it should line up with the Title five like that. I will also hit the justify button, and I believe we already with this part off the slide 20. Let's Do A Nice Slide! (Part 2): Welcome back again. Let us continue the work with our slide. Right now, the photograph doesn't look as cohesively with the title as we have here the colors But we will try to adjust it a little bit later. We also wanted to use icons onto the slide. So let's try and do this. I have three big Aikens. Firstly, I will make them rather small because I just want them to indicate some informations in tow . Our slide. Okay, let's put this is the 1st 1 This is the second and this is deferred. They are still too big. I'm holding the 50 selecting everything, making it a bit smaller. All right, this my work Perhaps there in terms off the balance, I'll use the same icons for some background into this slight Let's go to shapes and once again used a parallelogram. It's hard to pronounce for me and I hope I got it a bit. Right. Okay. The shape Phil should be similar as those collars. So at first I will remove the outline. Then I'll go to the format shape once again for Mitt shape and used the great infill suddenly. Now we have two great and you're using before. So let's create a new one. Delete one color used eyedropper for the green one and the eyedropper for the blue collar off course. We need to change it to linear. And I wanted to go from left to right just as the green color here. So let us use this one, okay? And of course, as we learned also previously sent back word and send completely to back, I come a bit closer. Make it smaller, a bit more narrow. All right. It's looking pretty decent, and I will work with the transparency. Let me see how this all looks right now. I'm working with the transparency on the blue color. I also want to work with the transparency on the green one. Okay, this would be nice. I want more off the blue. So less transparency here and a bit of transparency and degree. I think I will stick to that right now. Control C control V two times to also make backgrounds for those icons. Select boat drawing tools backward, backward, backward until they're in the back. And we have some nice design prepared what we should do. I would like to make those icons stand out more, and Power Point has a tool for that which is in the former type, which is color. We can work with the coloristic off this icons, but only to a certain amount. For example, you have something light here. I think this would be nice, but it doesn't make quite those I can't stand out. So what else can we do? We can, for example, go to the glow options. Let me close down everything on the effects panel. We have the glow options. Let's maybe make a white glow around them. This glow is right now to intensive, but it makes those like unserviceable. I will make less amount of the glow, maybe five points, and make it transparent just so the icons are visible. That's OK now. And what else can I do to make this design a bit more consistent with this photograph? Because right now it shoots out of the blue and has nothing in common with those colors. First, I want to make it a little bit bigger. I go to crop once again. I make it a big, bigger Oh, a little mistake because the entire photo ends here so I can just grab the photo and shifted around. Maybe also, I don't want those yellow Carlos, because they really don't go along with this. Maybe this worst out color will be a bit better. I enlarge the photo because it's a pretty heavy and big one. I think this position would be okay. What? I also do I take this design control C control V two times and let's get creative and made position it here and here just to see how everything looks. Now, let's maybe make something like that. Narrow it a bit right now. I don't have the angles. Right. So I need to work on that. This will take me a little bit of time, but stay patient. Okay? This one, I'll delete the previous one. I just take this control C Control V and I turned it around. Even the colors can be turned. I do not mind. I went too far and okay, off course. This is wrong Now. I selected the wrong one and large the photo bid Let me hit Shift a five to preview the current slight. I think this is going in the right direction. Well, it isn't perfect. The color choices terrible here. The green doesn't really go with a professional business look, but I want to show you the principles off. Slight design. Let's, for example, also make some small text here. I'll make it smaller, delete a little bit, make it smaller just to fill out the composition and try to make some team out of this. Right now it's a bit difficult, but I think control C control V a few times, maybe working with the positioning. I like how this is all cut down. So I'll take the first I come and with the arrow keys, I'll move them here. No, I think this. I'll move it here. Yeah, it's OK. I will work with the last text and the right. I believe we are done with this slight. Although the photograph doesn't perfectly fit in here into this green blue composition, I believe that such slights are really more pleasant to the eye and more fun to view than the simple power point designs we see over and over again. I really can't watch them any more. People are using them in every presentation and it doesn't look good. Try to create something on your own, I hope this little slight talk to you a real war design where you were sitting down, making a slight and using all the informations I shared with you previously in this course Tell me what you think about it until then, see you in the next lecture. 21. Transitions and Their Timing: All right, Welcome back. Let me touch on the transitions. Now inside of Power point, transitions are waste to fade in and fade out are slight. When you start a presentation and shift between slight without any transitions, they're going really abruptly between each other, So that's not a good way of making a nice presentation. So let me show you how to use transitions on the transition. Stab inside of the ribbon. We have a number of transitions which prior point offers. You can go inside of power point and provide them quickly by clicking on them. As I click on a transition, for example, the white transition a little star appears here. Nervous light. This means that this slight is being introduced with a transition. Right now, when I hit the five, this light is being revealed with the transition I selected. Once we have selected the given transition, we have a few options in the timing section and in the effect option. The Effect option panel most often only changes the way in which, from the animation is playing, for example, from left from right. This all depends on the transition. But certain transitions doesn't even have those options. So what we need to focus on is the timing section. That's a very important section, because if you are working with videos, you want to time everything properly, so you make advanced light after a certain amount of seconds. But if you're holding a presentation and do not know how long, it will take you to explain this light, you make after mouth click right now this transition well, for example, take two seconds. You can make it as long as you want. At this moment, the transition will take two seconds to play, and once I click the mouse, it will fade to the next light. So let us preview that 12 The flesh has appeared a slightest online, and won't I click with the mouse? The next light appears. The second way is making toe advance the slide after a certain amount of seconds and instead off mouse click. I go after three seconds. Right now, the entire slight will take five seconds to play because at first it will fate in for two seconds. Let's maybe select another on, for example, the push animation, so the two seconds will be better visible and afterwards. Once three seconds passed, this light will go away. Let us previewed this. Now it has appeared. Three seconds are passing and the next light arrives. If animations would be used, Animations are more important than transitions. So if I have 10 seconds off animations, even if I will have selected after three seconds at first, old animation must play, and then it will proceed to the next light. So that's an important thing to remember. You can use transitions between all slight if you have no time making transitions between slight at least select all slight and person fate or make a transition on one slide empress apply to all. As I click this button, you see, a little star appears next to each slide. This means that each slight off the slight has a transition. If there is one slight, which you don't want to have to a transition, you just go to the transition step. Select none, and you see this little star disappears in my kinetic typography and local intra reveal courses in Power Point. I'm teaching how to prepare your own custom transitions and not use the basic power point ones. If you are interested in making this. You can take a look there later on. That's all you need to know about transitions. Please use them in presentations and in videos because it makes them look a bit nicer and have a softer feeling for the viewer. 22. Animating Objects: Welcome to the lesson about animations. For me, this is the most interesting feature in Power Point, which allows it to get close to emotion. Graphic software. Let's head over to the next light because we have more objects here to work with and start working around with the animations. Once you arrive at the animation tab, please open up the animation pain. So we see everything just as the transitions before, as we saw here are animations want we click on an object are also here. There is no place to display all the animations there are in power point. So if you want to see them all, you need to cook here more entrance effect, more emphasis effect and more exit effect. I will use the entrance effect. And won't you open this panel? You can click on them and preview. How do they look on the actual object you have clicked on? So you have basic animations, settle animations and moderate animations. Oh, and also exciting animations. But they aren't as exciting as they promise. You can have a bit of fun and preview a few of them. Let's, for example, choose the peak in animation just as previously in the transitions. We have the effect options here, where we can change the site, which from the peak is going in. Let's room let us Jews from left and the animation in Peaks from left. Right now on the animation pain, the first animation has appeared, and I want to explain you how to work with those animation in the animation pain. Each animation has three states. As I right click on it, I have start on Click start with previous and start after previous. Each has its own usage. For example, let me select all of the object and press the fate animation. Now we have four animations that are starting together. Want to click the mouth? If I right click on them and press start on Clegg, each animation won't start until I click the mouse. I would, for example, want to achieve, in effect, where the 1st 2 animation will come in as I click the mouse. Then the next comes in one second later in the last one, I don't know. Maybe also a second late. I select the first to object, so I see them in the animation pain. Now the renaming would be useful. Let me take this turd animation and drag it over here. Just so I remember what's going on here. Okay. The first intimation should start after click. The next animation should start with the previous one because I wanted to click and have both to appear. The next one should appear automatically one second after the play. So I take it here. I make it after previous and I delayed by one second. You can notice you're a little line. This line appears when an animation is made after the previous animations. If I would select with previous, I could move it freely around without having this line here. Okay, This time I want to use the line because I wanted to fate in one second after the previous ones and the next one, maybe also after previous. And here you will see how the previous line is used. If I extend the previous innovation, I make the fate in longer. I make it this long. For example, the last animation is automatically shifting further because it should play after previews . If I will make it with previous and delayed maybe two seconds. Watch now What happens You can always preview what you did here. Inside off the animation pain press on the first animation and hit play from All right. This one is slowly introducing but the green one sneak in quicker and is revealed before this one is revealed. The play all button is very useful because you do not have to preview over and over again. The presentation to see What did you have, Chief? These are the necessary basics about the animations. And in the next lesson, let's, for example, animate. This light s a real world example. See you soon in this lesson. 23. Example. Why not practice on our slide?: since we already designed this light previously, why not use the knowledge we have until now and animated? Let me select every object I have here. Okay, I see. I should group together those icons. It will be easier to animate because they will be treated as one object. I can also group the picture and I think we are prepared. Let's open up the animation pane off course. At the beginning, that title slide should roll in. So I'll go fly in and make it fly in from left. So it appears all right. Afterwards I want the text automatically to start play slowly from top to bottom. So, for example, people could read it. I'll go for an animation called Wipe, but not from down, but from the top, of course, from top. Right now, it's too quick for a select the animation I was started after mouth click because I will present this light and I will make this duration five seconds long. Let me preview what happens now that title slide appears and the text is going to slide down in the same manner. I would like those boxes and those text to appear one after another. As I clicked a month one to treat. Let us hit the title slight and to not waste any time. I will goto animation painter and paint this animation over. I'll paint it over also here and here. Okay, they're sliding in in the text. It could faith in. I have the first object and the first animation I will go with previous and I'll connect them the same for the next object and animation. Place it here. All right, What would happen now if I click play? Once I click with the mouse, the title appears as I click the next time that tax will slowly fade in from top. The next time I click the mouse, the icons and the text will appear one after another. Do I want some animation with the photo? Well, I guess why not? Since we have the photo, Maybe once the text is playing, the photo can come in from the left side. Maybe also with the wipe or from down. This also looked very interesting, but I had the idea to come from left from right. I'm sorry. So let it make it like that. Okay? I have this animation from Group five here, and the text is here. So what can I do? I can go with Previous I shifted to be here and I delayed a little bit. I want to say you also something important here. It is possible to connect several animations. If I click on the object you need to goto at animation. If I click here on another animation, it will just replace the previous animation. But if I click and press on at animation, for example, the post animation, it can be added to the previous one, so I'll make it here. So once the photo appears, it also poses up a little bit. And this is our fringed animation. You also need to remember that you need to go to transition and D Select after track books , because if after a zero seconds is selected, Power Point will try to finish the slight as fast as he can, and he will not wait for us until we click the mouth. Once I previewed this animation with shift and a five. You see, PowerPoint is automatically playing those animations, but I wanted to be in charge of this presentation, so I go to transitions, interest on mouse click and the select after and right now, when I hit Shift F five, everything is under control. Once I click, the title side appears as I click the second time, the text is starting to appear from top. The photo has already flight in, and with each next click, I have a nice animation on the bottom with the icons and with the text boxes. This is it when it comes to animating a slight. We've made a unique, slight, unique animations, and you have a finished design to use in a real world product. 24. Recording Speech - Autopilot Online Videos: I want to show you an important feature in Power Point, which you can use to create online videos, online courses, YouTube videos or simply to present the presentation you are currently running without you even being there, you can find the future I'm talking about in the slideshow tab, which is record Select show. Let me show you an example off recording boat off the slight. I will click down here and press start recording from current slide. I will leave the slight and animation timings if the first box is checked. Power Point will record timings for us and put them here to be exactly as we recorded them . OK, let me head to the slideshow select start recording from current slide, and I also want to have Narrations Inc and the laser pointer recorded. You can choose to select or de selectors. Let's start the recording, and I have the first animation off the turtle we made before. On the bottom side and power point. You can select depend the laser pointer or the highlighter. If you want to use them to explain something inside of the presentation. Let's, for example, use the pen I can circle around, I would depend. This is the head. And I would normally explain this light and move forward. Power Point has already recorded what I did, and I can now continue with the presentation. I'll press my arrow button to reveal all the things I had before. I'm explaining this slide. This is my title slide. That tax is fading in and I want to finish this presentation with 12 entry explanations. Okay, I would be done by press escape and watch what has happened. Inside of the transitions, we have the timings. It took a bit long. Half a minute. The next slide 25 seconds. Power point has automatically added the ink which I was drawing, and the audio file recording. And I have the first animation off the turtle we made before. So we made on online video. We could export this as a ready to use video and upload it straight to you to part of, for example, an online course. The same goes for the next light, so you can record voice overs over slight. But this cool feature 25. Add Music Across Everything: hater. Let me show you how you can infer it. Music into our presentation toe play across all slides. I have a music file here prepared. I will simply drag it onto the presentation. And this is This is just a simple June. I want to play across all flights now how to do to make music, playing across all slides. I will open up the animation so you see that because the music file is also an object inside of PowerPoint, I go once again to play back, and I need to hit, start, automatically, play across life and high during show, so I don't see the little speaker I can. I can also loop it until it stopped because it's not a too long song. For example, if the presentation is going very long and right now, as I was could play, the music would start playing. Let's preview the presentation. It started to play. Well, what else can I do? I only want it to play in the background, so I make the volume of it down to this amount. Okay, this sounds nice. Also, I want the music to start in the middle. That's why I go to play back and I press on trim audio as I trim it. I go for example to this point because this is the point in the music which I particularly like and I wanted to start from there. Okay, now I'm ready. And I feel that this presentation could carry on with this music. There is also a shortcut to make all I did in one step I will delete this music. I would inside the project file once again which power 0.2013 has it is playing in background. Won't you click that all the options we made previously are automatically selected? This is just like a script which automate is the work. It makes it start automatically. It plays across slides, it is looped and it is hidden during the show. So right now let's preview the entries old and previewed entire presentation. We only have toe reduce the volume again. Goto playback, trim it a bit again as before, all right, and maybe make a faith in just to make it start in a smoother fashion. Let's preview the animation, the music place settle in the background. And as we recorded the voice over the animation starts. Now I will stop talking, and I have the first animation after turtles we made before On the bottom side and power form. You can select the pen later. All right. As you remember, we had the recordings from before and they're playing automatically inside of this presentation. This is how you can insert music in the power point. Please go download any music file inserted into PowerPoint and want you click on the music . You have the former type and the playback time. The play but type is very important because here you can trim, you can fade and you can use the options to like the music. Play automatically before each animation. If many animations would be here, remember that the music has to start first. If you wanted to start since the beginning, that's it for this lesson. Thank you for hearing me out, and I hope you did learn something 26. Exporting a Ready Video: hater. Welcome in this lesson where I want to show you how to export a file ready presentation to a video. We have our beautiful presentation prepared. We have our turtle, our music. The timings are ready to export the presentation to video. You only have to go to file export, create a video and hit, create a video. Please make sure that you choose the highest quality. Currently, it's 7 20 p for pyre point And to use the recorder timing generations, you can click on the video and you can save an MP four or W M. V. File. One little thing I also did since I'm exporting to video very often. If you want to add some shortcuts here, you press on this little button and go toe more command. I did that, for example. They create a very often right here. I just made all comment and I went down to find the creative video option. It was somewhere around here. Yet once you insert it, you get the exporting with one mouse click. So that's it. When it comes to exporting a presentation to video. Really simple right 27. Now You Know Something: I have to say that now you know something about Power point? You know, the essential tools to create presentations. A slight just like that To create some simple objects or artwork in Power Point. We've talked a little bit about animations, about transitions and about the recording sounding voice and exporting everything to a video. At this point, I would like to ask you for a review for this course. This would really help me. I'd be really glad to hear what you have to say about this course, and I would very much appreciate that. Thank you for considering it and a special big shout out to those people who will write the review. Thank you. 28. Thank You For Taking The Time!: Hello. In this last lecture off this course, I am arriving here with great pleasure, and I hope you did have fun. Why it's taken this course. I'm trying to make my lessons as interesting as possible while sharing as much knowledge as I have in power point to make your workflow quick, easy and, of course, efficient. We've talked about a lot of things, and the knowledge you gained doesn't apply only to Power Point. Once you get familiar with the program like that, it's a great benefit for yourself in a great investment in yourself, because in the future you may easily transition toe other advance programs without any troubles. Thank you very much. First thing to until the end. You are one of the few students who start a course and really finish it. I really appreciate this, and if you enjoy this course, I would also ask you to write me a review about this course because it will make other students aware that discourses off good quality. And I really hope you think so. If you would like to see something else in this course, please leave me a message and I'll consider adding a lesson or explaining you the topic in person. My name is Andrea, and this was a complete power 0.2013 crash course.
