Food Sketching: Nigiri Sushi [class 2]

1. Intro: Hello there. Many Miss Francesca and I'm in Italian surface and textile designer with the great passion for sketching and watercolors. Ruling in the last period have been a lot into sketching food and food related subjects. So I thought it will be nice to share what I've learned about it with you. Everyone has at least once took a picture of a nice meal cooked by yourself or off offensive plates and restaurant to put on social media or just to remember it. I love food, and I think that it is you draw in our lives and drawing It is a nice way to celebrate it, but also to include ourselves in that memory. Our experiences and emotions related to that food and sketching can be a funny way to do. It is the second class of a six classes Siri's all about food sketching that is releasing over six weeks. Now I lightly sketch with pencil the areas that I want to live white, so it's easier to see where I don't want to apply color. The first color layer is a very light wash off Salman that I intensify a little bit at the ends off the Salman. Then I proceed, adding the light red and using a clean brush with just water, I blend the color to be lighter as I go from the top to the bottom. I also apply a second and 1/3 layer off the same color, focusing on the top and blending towards the bottom. Next, I had something permanent orange to warm up and reach more orangutan to speed up the drying process. I'm using an author gun, but you can also use the inner dryer. Just be careful with the temperature and the distance. I proceed, applying a wash off Salman caller and another off light red. I tend to draw a line off color where I want the corner to be more intense and then a blend to obtain ingredient effect.
