Ballpoint Pen : 3 Techniques for Beginners

1. Intro: drawing with a ballpoint pen and seem really intimidating if you've never done it before. But with just a little practice of pen and some paper, you can create stunning pieces of art and gain confidence in your drawing skills. In this class, I'll show you three simple techniques. The starters in Baldwin bends clear drawings, so let's get started. 2. Hatching Technique - Layers: What exactly is a ballpoint pen? Well, the tip of a ballpoint pen contends, a small metal bowl that is constantly refreshed with ink. It's one of the most widely used types of pen. In fact, you probably already have a few ballpoint pens at home. It's very easy to create a greedy int simply by applying more or less spend pressure. The only problem is that the ink immediately dries. So if you've made a mistake, it's impossible to raise it or to touch up the drawing. That's why it's better to use layers of ink applied with very light ben pressure. And now I'll show you how to do it. I use the same amount of pressure for rich layer, so it really is the number of layers that create a darker shades. You might still be thinking, but why not simply add more pressure? So it's not the best, especially if you're trying to achieve a realistic effect. So now that we've talked about layers of ink, I'll show you how to use them to create the illusion of volume. That's a delight is coming from here. From the front, I used the hatching technique to call it the three sides of the Cube. Delayer should be enough, but the drawing steel looks very flat, so I'm going to keep adding layers of hatching to create shadows and those delusion of volume. 3. Hatching Technique - Exercise: And now let's put what we've learned into practice. Choose a still life object something with a simple shape, like any fruits, a ball, a mug, something really simple. So you can focus on creating different shades of ink with the hatching technique. My first layer of ink, we'll cover everything. My whole drawing. I liked duty. So the white paper is invisible under the drawing. I think it makes the drawing looks more realistic. After that, I stopped building the layers of hatching. Since I'm basically drawing a sphere, I'm drawing curved lines instead of the straight lines in the previous exercise. That way, it's easier to create the illusion of volume. The light is coming from the left, so the darkest parts of the apple are on the right and a little bit in the middle. So in my drawing these parts will have the more layers. At this point, the drawing is starting to look really sick. I can live it like this, or keep adding as many layers as I want until I'm happy with the amount of detail I combined, hatching and cross hatching to make it look even more like a sphere. And I keep adding shadows 4. Scribbling Technique - Layers: random scribbles can also create the illusion of volume in drawing. This time I'm drawing a sphere with delight. Coming from a buff again, I start with the first layer of ink and then several layers on top of it for the shadows. This technique is very similar to the hatching technique in its execution, but creates a very different visual result, and it's mostly used to give tech chair to the drawing. 5. Scribbling Technique - Exercise: and now I'll put this technique into practice by drawing a treat. The scribbles will create a nice texture for the trunk and leaves. I encourage you to try it out as they can be reading, relaxing to draw lines in such a lose manner. But beware of ink blots and regularly wipe your pen. - This technique is a great way to draw hair.
