Get out there and practice shooting! There are a many different types of photos you can capture from this class. Dawn or dusk, or shoot in the weather for a dramatic affect. You may also bring a subject for some cool adventurer type photography or try capturing an animal you see on your trip. Or try capturing a new perspective!
Bring a tripod or use a higher shutter speed to reduce any movement and get the sharpest photos!
When you want to level up your photography game, try shooting with the rule of thirds using the grid feature in your camera, or use leading lines in the landscape to draw your eye to a particular area in the photo. Try shooting the scene from different locations and find some creative perspectives!
To add a dramatic affect to your photos, shoot in the weather! Get prepared and venture out when others would stay in missing those shots! Shoot in the rain, snow, or on a foggy day to add movement and give your photos a more moody feel.
Another way to make your photos tell a story to the viewer is by adding depth to them. This is done by finding objects in the foreground and in the distance that add layers in the photo. Then by adjusting your aperture to a lower f/stop and focusing on one area in the photo you will get that bokeh blur and add depth and create a visual journey to the viewer.
Be sure to upload a picture you have captured using the tips in this class to the Projects & Resources section of this class so you can receive feedback and connect with other students! Also, feel free to share photos of your learning process! I look forward to seeing what you capture!
