Hello All, I am Dhritikana Nath an artist, instructor, educator & entrepreneur from Delhi, India.

I am the founder of VibrantParcels where we make hand bound sketchbooks, brush-roll, pouches etc. This is a fairly new initiative as I was searching for good sketchbooks and it was not available readily in the market so just thought to make something of my own. Then wanted to cater to the greater needs of creatives and added brush-roll & Pouches.

I have a monthly membership on Patreon where I teach more about light & shade, landscapes, urban sketching, travelling etc.

I am a strong believer of the idea that anyone can paint if you put an honest effort and for excelling in painting there are only 2 rules practice and frequency of painting. I did start my journey... See full profile

1. Introduction: If you could say it and once there would be no recent oil paint drive, he said by Edward Hopper, Hey guys, welcome back. Today we hope the lot in six easy what to call a landscape kind of 15 minutes in case you haven't taken my ordeal class pockets for ISI watercolor landscape in 15 minutes. It would be of great help to start off with Ben MOOC one total current plus, yes, many of you might already know me as do the bananas, but I am 2 right now. I am off to a newborn of 19 eighties. Ibm has, among other thumb and I am an artist instructor, still share detail as well as a brand educator for of insulin Newton High and fulfilling has many doors as possible. Painting small and easy is the way to go for me right now because I don't have an entire day to work out things. And therefore, this whole idea of the glass came from there. We will start by understanding all the materials required, their techniques like return rate, we're gone dry lading and much more. That's one of the section which is the longest deal, not the last, but are basically six TZ landscape, which would be helpful if you can actually get the decking swim. What does explain things are chosen pick Ross different diets for, for d, that is the money. Then the evening, the northern lights, as well as look cloudy days. Those are the ones which I've always loved Toby. And hopefully you will also enjoy painting along with me. So come and join. Hamlet's the six hazy landscapes. 2. Materials required: Let us discuss on the materials that we will need to complete this painting, starting with the paper that we will be using. The Foster's, the colors. I am taking open Sudan Newton color palette that I already have. I have used certain many of my other paintings. You can go for any 24 shades status available with you. We will not be using all the credit for sheets. There would be only a few sheets that we will be using. Before each of these paintings. You will actually have all the stop colors which you can go ahead and use as well as I would be suggesting new ordinate colors. While we keep on thinking, we will use a whitewash, and this is a pencil monograph. You are as an eraser, I will be using for different kind of pressures. One is applied brush, the other one is my silver Blackwell websites for size a Prussian has caught us I6 brush. This is flat brush from Princeton bridges half an inch. That's all I will be using from the brush point of view, you can go for any brushes data's available with you. Then. Now we will just discuss the exact people. I have no size of paper that I will be using. The one is 18026 centimeter, that is seven into ten hinge. I would be painting two of these paintings and one of this papal. Therefore, we will have six paintings in three people. Then next is to use my A4 size paper. This is for the technique section that we would be using. I will divide this paypal into eight equal halves. And in each of these eight halves we will be painting, hand, practicing each of these techniques like blending water ripples, then some of our pines they bring, etc. We will have us anomic ballot. You can go for any ceramic palette of your choice. I would be using a variety of ceramic powder to complete this painting. So do not think much while you use any kind of palette of your choice, keep do jars of water Handy, had one masking tape. I would actually explain, knew how we should organize our palette and paper while we paint. I'm a right-handed person and I will start by organizing everything on my right. The people would be in the middle, just the way you are seeing right now. Do Joseph water will be on the right, on the top. You can have the pilot orbitals. You can even exchange the water towards the top and the ballot towards the right. I would leave it up to you how you want to organize it on my brushes will be on my right because it's very easy for me to pick up the brushes and start painting from there. Then I will go ahead and pick up my tissue. Tissue you can place in the water medial or you can even place in the right-hand side area. And depending upon the requirement that you have, I have specifically included this part because I just wanted you guys to understand how we should always please the colors than the palate and the shoes, et cetera. If you are a right-handed person, if you are a left-handed person, everything will go on the left. That we, it would be really handy for you to take care of your painting as well as it would be easier for you to handle all the colors. 3. Technique: So the colors are Prussian blue, cobalt green. You can also use compost blue then is your bright yellow green. And you can also experiment with Payne's gray as well as buoyancy. And so these are the colors that you can always go ahead and experiment with. Okay, so this is the most important aspect of a painting. If you can get the techniques well, you will be in a position to meet all your paintings. We start by applying hopefully your wash. How do we apply a clear wash? Take any Prussian blue on your palate and start applying single wash. You can go for a small area. I would always ask you to try with small alea and any draft paper you can select though I'm using my arches 300 GSM paper to show this wash because it helps me to keep the people wait for a longer period of time. You can go ahead with any of your 300 GSM gotten people. If you are going ahead with handmade paper, try to go for article or people like for 40 years or more. I'm taking two colours. One is the compost blue and another one is still proof. I'm going by simple rule that is, I need to actually blend two of my toddlers. They're blending should be smooth and there should not be any batches while I keep blending the colors. The first technique is blending and it's going to be really simple one, you will see that 50% of the area is crescendo and 50% of the area is compost blue. The second one would be all about doing oh, variegated wash. Yes, validated Washington would be doing wet on wet. You can also go for wet and dry as you want to dry it. Bart for me, I'm bought bluff to go with and experiment. Wet on wet. There should be a light sheet that you see on the people just the way I have shown over here. And then you need to start applying the colours. We will go with the lighter values. In this case post which is majorly or compost boo, or you'll go viral, dream, whatever is available with you. You can also go for any other Dogecoin's based Carlo, If you have in your ballot, I am going ahead with some of my cobol green and then apply some Prussian blue. And towards the bottom, variegated Wash means there should be Aussie English wash between two different colors. And there is no hard and fast rule that you have to apply the colors in a blending. We are in a blending technique. They can be applied anywhere, but there should be a smooth finish. That's the most important aspect of doing a variegated wash. You will see that the blend of colors that you will get would be seamless and they will look absolutely organic in nature compared to if you are doing all wet and dry, there might be a possibility that we might not get this kind of a particular wash. Once this is done, we will go ahead with the next set of techniques. And before you move ahead, always tried to just experiment a bit. If you are unable to do it in this by Nova small area, tried to go ahead with a larger area and dry it out. Absolutely. Up to your wish, how you want to go ahead? I will clean the edges are some intervals because I do not want any of my colors to move into any of the other blocks, as I would be doing about eight techniques together. And a lot of the techniques are absolutely different from each other. Let's move where the third technique, which is majorly water control, again, water control would be or where Don wet technique that we would be doing. What are control is nothing but a variegated wash. But we have to control though Watteau over control the colors. Now. No one can control the water and no one can control the colors in all water color medium. But what we can do is we can always understand that how much we're though we should apply on our paper. Again, the rulers to see that we have a clear pushing on though people. You will always observe that I am tilting my people and showing you how these washes are done. I absolutely want you to see that there is a shine that appears on the people and targets there shine that you also need for doing this particular Warsh. This collar looks more of compiled Green Bank on both will because I think I have added some amount of green in it. And you can also go ahead and apply these kinds of colors. And you will see that this water control will come into effect when you are doing multiple lights. Now, multiple lights is the technique that we would be using in our northern lights ending part, which we will be actually attempting over your these Northern Lights Bourdon organ lines. I'm going to be very simple, one with the technique. Then I've already shown you that is a variegated Bosch and another with this water control technique, what are the unrolled technique is also very simple. You do not need to actually think much while you are working on the water control. Go ahead with the lighter value first and then add the darker value. That's the only thing you need to keep in mind. Your water should not be too much flowing. If there is lot of water on the people, your colors will flow a lot. And because of which you might not be in a position to see individually each of these lights, which we really want to avoid. While you paint any kind of Northern Lights painting. There's one more aspect that I want to show you while you actually attempt any kind of painting, supposedly you have a place where you have handed the colors and you want to pick up the colors from there. Always wash your brush and clean water and ten, dab off the extra water under tissue. Once that is done, you can actually pick up some of the colors the exact way I'm doing right now. Finally, let's add some of the colors onto the next part. And it is going to be a layering technique that we will be doing. Guess each of the techniques are different from each other and you will find me. Actually adding different kinds of colors or using different kinds of colors to paint each one of them. Mostly, the prevailing Kahlo is Prussian blue that I'm using to complete all the techniques. You can go ahead and use any of the other colors, whatever is available with you. We are going for the layering technique. Layering technique means that will be o seamless wash of the first layer. And it is going to be our layer of mountains, not this is a very common technique that you might have also moved in many of the other paintings. We will be using it very commonly in our first painting. On the third technique is same. We are going from o value to the Doppler value. That's it we are doing. We will go with the lightest value for the first layer. And once done, the lead paper dry completely. Go ahead with the second layer. While you are going ahead with the second layer, makes sure that you have much more defined mountains. While I see that you're mountains needs to be more defined because status, according to the rule of perspective, as we see subjects which are closer to us, they become more defined as well as more detailed. And hence, this needs to be again, a seamless wash, but it has to be more defined in terms of the subject that you are painting. You can also go for any other subject of your choice. I wanted to go ahead with something which is very simple and easy to explain. That's one of the reason I did select monuments for explaining the learning technique. This would look come back long as for less tedious, but it is proving to be very simple when you start the painting because layering is really simple. It's just a Mountains where you need to define a bit. That's tougher but dressed us, you have to apply a seamless wash. Go ahead and add some more colors for your todd layer. Just finish it off. Then we will go where can I adored layout purposes for clear. In your fought bled though layer could be much more defined and terms upto three stack Naval Sea from closer. You need to remember only one thing while you actually think. This landscape is. Though layering technique needs to be tried once you apply the force there, then it has to be second layer. It needs to be dry off completely. Then the top layer and the fourth layer, that's how you have to go ahead and add the colors. I will be teaching you how to paint the waters in two different ways. Go for one single wash data's your flight wash for your, the idea that you are watching right now. And then we will go ahead and add the ripples onto this Eliau. Once this is done, we will even teach you how to add the ripples on hard dry area. This would be mode of wet on wet that we would be working with and the next would be wrecked Andre. Okay. So I'm applying across fashion right now with the help of my flat brush, you can go ahead with a round brush and blending the colors from top towards the bottom. It is again of life mush, it can be done using all ground blush or it can be even done with using offline crash. Land pressure would be easy. And then I will start applying the ripples. I will use the tip of my brush to paint or reports It's being repulsed. Now, these ripples are going to be very thin. If you want the ripples to be ten, you must have saturated version in your brush. Now what do you mean by saturated version of your colors on your brush? That your colors should not be flowing. That is, the water content that you have on the brush should not be very high. And that's the way you can actually mean these thinner lines. Use the tip of your brush mostly widely, all being third oppose thermocouples which are closer to you. Datas towards the bottom will be ticker and they will be close to each other. Where does the ripples which are towards the top? They will be thinner and they will be far away from each other. And that's how you have to manage the rule of perspective, I would say. And try to just take off the extra Kahlo on your ballot before applying it to your people. Let's add one more beer as you see me doing right now, it is one more saturated version than I'm learning. As well as my people has dried up a bit compared to the last time I ended the, the sort of bulls. Once done. We will go ahead and add the bolts onto makes painting. Now, this part of the next painting would be on weight on dry. This is though where Don Read that we did. I have another class on absolute gaping waters and that is watercolour, water scape or watercolor ocean waves. Those are the two classes you can refer if you really want to understand water in a better way. You already are doing very quick. Guards base about how you can paint waters, which is important for our 15 minutes painting. Let's go onto the next one here we are again, going ahead and adding A-flat wash. This flat portion is going to be really simple. You can always do across watch, grow swatches really necessary so that you can get an even coat of water or even coat of colors on paper. The flag Wash means that every Please, wherever you are applying the colors should have equal consistency. You can have one pool of colors ready for it. And then go ahead and add from there onto your Paypal or roads. You can also warhead with the way I'm doing right now as the people as really small. And we can of course control the consistency of the colors if we even directly applied on the people that should not be initial. Latino people dry after this, once you are done with the cross match. And then we will start our day though. Ripples onto it. The ripples will be in, are very, very easy and simple way that we are going to pink. It would be starting from the bottom area. And we will paint one small line. Then again in dialoguing with the next line. That's all we will keep painting The Rebels. If you want to go ahead and interlock it. If you do not want to go head and interlocking. We can also do it another way. Just apply pressure on few of the areas and release pressure on some of the areas where you paint these ripples in just the way I'm doing right now. There will be tunneled lines at few places and tickle lights at few places. Let's keep painting some more ripples while you go towards the top. Again, the rule of perspective remains the same. You are ripples will become a bit more distant from each other, as well as they will not be interlocking any further because they are far away from us and we will not be in a position to see it absolutely. The way we absorbed or ripples while they are close to us. So I'll start making it a bit far away from each other. And they would be shorter in the terms of lines. And you have to make it a bit distant from each other rather than interlocking any photo. When you go towards the top, you will see that the ripples will be at a spot smart distance, and they will just appear as small, small dots and hit small, small lines. They will be not much that we want to paint any further. I think I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Let's go head and paint some binds now, not binds are three ways that I will be showing you. Some of the findings that we would be painting are going to be really ten and they will not have lot of leaves, whereas some of the banks will have lot of leaves. You will start. From the top and then you will, in a zigzag manner, always made the top more tenor. And this one doesn't have a lot of leads towards the top ad the more or less are having their leaves moving upwards. Whereas there at binds which have leaves moving downwards. So those are the things that you need to observe. There are so many different kinds of plants and binds available in nature. Or you can say that occurs in nature. So you can always go ahead and take reference from the pictures and then painted angles. My inside native to Northern Hemisphere and few parts of the tropics and the southern hemisphere. That's one of the reasons you always see a lot of minds while weeping into any of the northern lights as well as in the northern hemisphere, you will find it in to the office or in places which are really, really cold. And even usually you find a lot of snow and mountains. Those are the areas where these lights are absorbed a lot. That's one of the reasons you would see that blew off my paintings involved mountains as well as the second one involved pines. Some of the pines that I'm painting is taller as well as they do not have a lot of leaves. So you have to actually go painting these kinds of subjects. Just go with the flow. Understand that few of our binds will be not exactly the same as the other ones. It is nature and it has to be random. So those are the points that you have to observe while you paint. As well as you can see that in photographs. Photographs are a good way that we can understand in case you can't watch it all, go live and see these binds. Just understand that from different kinds of photos of solved them. And you can always go ahead and paint it. Now we would be learning how to be in the Clouds. This is the last part that I would be actually teaching you because we will be using clouds in our painting. And there are grouping things which are dependent on the clouds. I am taking. Again, Prussian blue. You can go for any other color of your choice. There is not a particular color that I'm thinking about them using this bush and low I'm applying and few places, some of the ideas are more saturated better, some of the areas are less saturated, do not apply the Prussian blue and all their ideas, as well as once you are done with the pollution low, we have to go ahead and prepare their darker mix. How do we prepare it? Alchemists and go ahead and add some burnt sienna in Dojo blue. And then you will get this dirty dark color, which we will add between these clouds. Now, since my first washers of blue, I would ask you to not do that. Just go ahead with our clear wash as we will be doing in our working day. And then these smaller clouds grow with the size for oocytes to brush, whichever you are more comfortable with. Once we are done bled us, we make all these areas dry off completely. And then we will remove the deep and actually very down all the techniques that we have learned their date. I have used more low, deep as well as this is our A4 size paper which I have used, do practice all these eight techniques. You can go for any other small paper or any other rough paper of your choice. I have used arches 300 years and Paypal, it's the same people that we would be using for our building. Because that actually helps me to understand how much water I should apply while I am doing my techniques. And then it is o apples to apples, kind awful comparison that I can do. I can help you out with a small suggestion. No. If you are actually doing or commission work or are fine whooping Deng on an archer spatial or any other good paper. And it did not turn out the way you want it. Never to obey that paper. Always keep the paper. Use the backside of the people for these kind of practice sessions. It can actually come handy for you in many of the cases because both sides of the people can be used. So let's just understand what all you techniques we did learn that it now, the first one was about blending. We did playing two different colors. The second was about wash. That was more about batting gated wash. Now validated wash can't be with two colors, three colors for colors, five colors, how many colors you want? The talk was about water control. Now what accountable you cannot always do, and I do understand that. So let it flow. But along with that, you have to make sure that you are not applying a lot of water because of which all the colors will mix into each other, might not get the required effect. The fourth one was all about learning. Learning means we have gone ahead and demonstrated with the help of one of the mountains and it doesn't monochrome that we have done. Though. Fifth one is all about water ripples, though we won that be have explained, we got red. And the second one was again about water ripples. Do with the last two parts, no one has stopped binds that we have learned three, race and tennis, the clouds that again, we will be using in our painting. 4. Project 1 Rise: So let's just go through all the colors that people need for completing both of these paintings. The Faustus, yellow ochre than yellow, red, Carmine, Windsor, orange, beans, gray, white, quash. But do not only go by the colors that I'm using, you can always use alternatives that are available on your palate. The most important aspect is to learn these simple paintings, which will actually give you an inner satisfaction of completing one painting whenever you even have 15 or 20 minutes of time in a day. We are now onto our first building right now. And you will observe that I have picked up some amount of yellow ocher on my brush and started painting my sky. The sky is going to be simple, easy. People make it more brighter as we progress. It's time to start adding some yellow. You can go with any yellow of your choice. I would always like you to go with a yellow lakes Aemilia yellow or you can go with men, say they are low, you can go even with lemon yellow, but Lemon yellow has some amount of capacity, I always feel. But it again depends on the kind of brand that you are using. Ufo more transparent colors when you are actually painting this particular sky. Further, I'm going ahead and adding some of my husband said orange towards the bottom. And while our progress, you have to actually keep on adding this Windsor orange, then some amount of rain and keep blending it with the background. This background is very important. We have started from the top handling Yoko till the bottom area. Keeping in mind that it is a sunrise. And sunrises are always beautiful and interesting. So go ahead, add reds, and then you will go ahead and make it a bit more brighter in value, values are always lighter when you go for a force layer of wash or when you are adding some colors. When you are a bit more confident And you know that you can actually go forward or darker value, go ahead and add some amount of red or dark mine. I'm going towards the bottom and using something watered, I am just extending it to Woodstock and octal painting area. Pandora, some amount of Carmine now to jar background. And it would be only with the help off my brush that I would be adding guide. You'll have seen me painting more with the flag brush for the bag down rather than. Using our round brush buddy, I will leave it up to you what you want to use for painting these areas. When I paint the background of the sky, you will observe that there will be some of the areas where I keep on adding Mike on mine and it will be slowly that I would extended towards the top. I'm not going to rush in this process. Finally, I'm getting some more yellow towards the top area, as well as I will now ask you to add some yellow ochre. Yellow ochre is Paul very beautiful color and it has got four very light effect rather than going for or very vibrant sheet. That would help you do even true the beauty of the morning, Monica, and not as bright as the evening sunsets. And that's one of the reasons you will see me using more of ochre color for my morning, sunrise. Now we will go far somewhere around hearing of the mountains clearing of the mountains have to be in our very simple and easy way. How you daughters just warhead antique or light value of your Payne's gray and using pins, great, you can use black or any other color that is available with you. There is no hard and fast rule of using this particular shade in comments. So don't worry, do not stick to the sheets that I am telling you or do not think about. Okay. This is the only sheet that we need to walk around with. That's never the case. Whatever is available with you on your ballot, go head and use it. Add some old eigenvalue mountain towards the outlet. Again, why you see these mountains? They're all lighter and values because they appear at a distance. And because of the rule of perspective, you will see that the colors are pretty light rather than it being dark. Okay? Once this is done, let your area dry completely. I am adding some clean water even while I am going towards the bottom. Why am I meaningless? Mean water is only so that the colours can flow on its own. The next step is to take one more sheet, darker and then add the mountains. But before you go ahead and do that, try to make this set of mountain of big modeller darker towards the right hand, towards their debt. If you want, you can even leave it up till here. It's up to you. I want to just meet the Peace Corps bit more darker and values. And as I have told you that your standard right and on the left I'm adding some things. Click. Once done, add some more water and they geared towards the bottom area. That's it. Now, I think I had Some amount of yellow on my brush bites, that's absolutely fine. It is yellow ochre and it will not react with the pains Chri. If your beans Green has some amount of blue, you need to be a bit more shore oral set might give you all green color shade. Let this CALEA dry, and then go ahead and add the second layer of mountains. Again, I have told you that this whole painting would be a very, very simple and easy exercise to relax your mind and to enjoy during this holiday season, because we are not going to go ahead and make it all difficult. And we're not going to actually go ahead and make it look like, oh my god, indices are very, very difficult painting and I will not be in a position to attempt it. It is completely focused on beginners and warping nurse, it is important to only attempt the paintings where you gain a lot of confidence. Confidence is very important while you actually do a watercolor painting. Finally, we are going for glaring of the mountains, you on loan debt, how Boolean mountains. But only one thing that I, also, while I layer these mountains as though all of the painting becomes really easy, but learning requires lot of patients. One of the layer gold dry off and then only you can apply another layer. I'm going ahead with my size six. It's quite optimal brush you can go ahead with any other branch of your choice and keep a blending brush rating with you. Blaming brush will help you to actually blend the colors with the bank ramp and using some clean motto and silver black velvet size cake brush to work out the blending areas. Let's further blended toe with the bank account. And I would go ahead with the one more layer of mountains or might be two molar of mountains, depending on how I want to place my mountains. You will just store lettuce area dry off completely before adding anything else. In case you want to add any colors in any of the areas which is touch on those areas. And IT you would be really good to have that. Let's go with the toddler or no, sorry, this is the fourth layer that we are going ahead with. Again, this is one shade darker down what we did apply earlier. So just keep on applying the colors. It is means gravy are going with different values of Payne's gray. You can always check the values on a separate piece of paper before you apply it directly on your final painting. Once you have applied the Docker value of Payne's gray, again, the processes similar to go ahead with your blending brush, use some clean water. Every time. I have always told you to use some clean water while you apply the colors or you blend it basically with the above-ground. I'll clean water is a basic requirement and that's always important to keep two jaws handy, pious side. You will see it in most of the painting process that it would come as a real good help for you. Extend the colors till the bottom, and then we will go ahead and paint the sun. Once we are done with this set of mountain, Again, I would tell you that you can go for another dark earlier of mountain if you want to add it, corals even leave it here. For blending. The best brush is your flat brush. If you are adding any colors or blending it with the background. I am using a small campus to just make a so-called, you might not even user campus just go head and make a circle with a coin. Not any other thing that is available with you, which is circular in nature. I am using my whitewash to add this white son. It is basically the dawn in the morning and the sun is rising from the mountains. If you have ever gone to any of the places in the amount and alter hilly areas, you would observe these kind of phenomena. And they are one of the lifetime or beautiful experiences. I have u thickness to it while I was in a nanny towel is one of the hill stations in India. And now it's time to add some small and QQ plots. Just go ahead with the tip of your brush. If you do not have a tip like this, go with Tim, brush off your choice size, one size, CDO, mini ni de la brush, anything that is available with you. And make these smaller birds, they will look very pretty. Once you complete the painting we are doing to painting spatially. One is the dawn and the other one is the nightfall. I wanted to show the contrast and that's one of the reasons I have chosen both of these painting together. 5. Project 2 Night Fall: So we are starting with our project number two. And this is again going to be a very, very simple exercise. Whatever we have learnt in our techniques section will be applied over here. And we will be painting or simple postcard signs landscape. I have already told you the kind of people that I am using, as well as the size of the papal. Next, I am going to apply colors on my Paypal. How I go ahead and apply these colors as you go with a very, very light shade of red orbitals, you can even take orange, how you datas oranges. You can mix some amount of your Windsor orange with a bit of red and then apply it on the people, then acts and crimson towards the bottom. While you come towards the horizon line. And some amount of pins, Greek beings grateful, blanked vey beautifully with the Chrome sit and you will get a beautiful effect. This is wet and dry technique which I am using. You can also go for wet on wet if you are not very comfortable with the wet and dry. And now I am applying some amount of water towards the top area. It is suggested to clean water. That's one of the reasons I have always told you that we need to Joseph water ready with ourselves because at any point in time, you might need one more set of clean water. We are really working on the skylight area as well as the water area. To first painting was all about layering, whereas the second painting is mostly about how you bank badly, both these areas. You do not need to think much while you are applying colors because it is wet on dry. But if you are using wet on wet, the water might flow more. And that's one of the reasons you will need to keep a watch on how you want to apply the colors. You might go ahead with this guy for Stan, then only with the water area for the sine. Now I am going ahead and hyperlinks some pollution has relies beans grey. It is a very, very simple process that I'm going ahead width, there is some amount of water that is already there and I am just blending the colors of the pollution and the pains gree with my ED, Windsor orange. Now Windsor orange will not give you the green that you might think always covered the painting towards your left with the white people quarrels. You can go for any other tissue to cover this area. We have to always keep in mind that we do not get a green color. That's the thing we want to avoid. Once you are done with this area and go ahead and add some more deeper tones towards the top. This is either you can save the prev values, not value's always have whole Very, very important. Impact on your any kind of painting that you are doing. You might feel that no ion can go with a darker value or more of a saturated version. But it's a good habit to go head with or lighter version first and then only add any darker values towards the top. One important aspect that I want to always tell you is trust your instincts. Trust yourself while you are doing a watercolor painting. Because there are times where we do feel, but you would be in a position to understand why the failure is happening and to understand that why is the most important aspect of a watercolor painting? Rest, everything will fall in place while you are adding some darker values towards the horizon area, you will see that there is a beautiful blend of colors that has already made those kind Lydia look very, very appealing to the eyes of the spectator. The colors are very bright and vibrant. So there is no point that you can actually go wrong in EBIT. Just supply some amount of clouds and you will use some beans, great to do that. One thing that I have repeatedly told in all my watercolor sessions are an all throughout my classes is that whenever you are applying any colors and watercolor, they will actually turn one should lie DO once it dries up, or sometimes even two or three shades lighter depending on the quality of the watercolor that you were using. If you're using rpois greed watercolor paints, then it will be only one shade lighter. Whereas if you are going ahead and using any student read means it would be to shade ought to issued libel because the filler content in our student grade paint is way higher compared to model. Our discrete things. Now, go ahead and apply some more colors towards the bottom area. Because it is like, really like in value and I want one more darker value. You will see that the color of the sky do gets reflected in my water area. So I am using the same shade of colors which I did use for my sky, for even paintings is water. After the water area dries up, it's important to add the ripples. Now, this ripples and this technique I have or be actually explained in way more detail in the watercolor water escapes class. It is detailed in terms of how we bring these ripples are not still, I would go head and make you understand in a simple way over here. This is not a class which is focused on the reports. So if you really want to understand water and its movements, I would ask you to detect class. And it would be really helpful for you to paint any kind of water. For your future lessons or your future projects. This is very simple process. Go ahead and add some lines. While you're adding the lines. Some of the areas we'd be bit more taco, whereas some of the areas would be thinner. Some of the areas you will love clothes and some of the areas where we will leave it open, it is applying a bit more pressure MTU of the areas. And applying this pressure on some of the ideas. While you move from the bottom towards the top, you will find that the, mostly the ripples are these smaller lines that we are a headache readdress. And if you are towards the bottom, the ripples will be broader and ticket, they will become very, very small lines while you go towards the top, as it is the rule of perspective, when you move, the object that you are observing will become smaller in size. Whereas while you are closer, though object will be larger in size. Why I reach towards the bottom area? You will also see me doing on dry brush technique. Dry brush technique is very simple. Just go head and pick up some colors on your brush it off under tissue, and then go ahead and add this dry brush technique onto your paper files. I have been adding this dry brush technique. One thing that I want to actually explain that this dry brush technique I have only applied towards the horizon line. I am not hiding it in any other places. The reason is that when the subject is far away from you, they will look closer to each other. And you might not even now actually see lines or ripples at that point in time. They will just get your something like or dry brush or some kind of ripples which appear together. So we have to actually consider that fact and then added onto though water area. This is another aspect that I am actually explaining it to you. You can use it or you might not call. So depending upon the subject that you were painting. Now, this is the sweetest part of the painting where we are adding some of the birds in the sky. All these words are returning to their homes and the sister evening sky, of course, where the sun has or the sect and is night which is falling, you will observe a few stars. This star that I want to add is towards the top of the sky. I'm not going to add a lot of stars in the S1, only of few urine there as you'll see. But I'm tapping my brush very lightly to get these smaller stars. One auto picker starts, you can have with the tip of your brush. That's all we are going to do. And I will go ahead and leave it. Hard displays. And small and beautiful moon, half-moon towards third DOP, this looks really nice. And then you have to always observe that if you are adding any kind of object and your sky, the reflection will also come in the bottom area or into the water area. You can also use a Jelly Roll pen to antes stars. It's up to you how you want to go ahead and add it. I have given you different options and that's one of the reasons you observe me using the brush, using the pen, whichever you're more comfortable with it, go ahead and use that for adding these stars. Finally, we are done with the first two paintings. Let everything dry off properly. This is very important, as I always give the drying time that painting requires. If you're painting doesn't dry off properly, you will be not an opposition to get the best of the effects that you need for your project completion. Remove the tape at an angle, and the angle is always very, very important. Do not try to hurry up or rush. At this point in time. You have two beautiful paintings and we do not want to actually touch any of the areas or make your paper rip off. Just remove the tape slowly and steadily. You will be in a position to get these nice crisp edges and then have a final look at your painting. I am very happy with these two small and sweet postcard size paintings. Again, my suggestion is go ahead and send it to any of your loved ones oils. You can also put it up in your art space. 6. Project 3 Single Light: The colors for this composition is compost blue, Prussian blue, and Payne's gray. For the last one, there is only one edition that is bright yellow, green. That's all we would be hiding in terms of one extra Kahlo and breast. Everything remains the same. Ok guys, so we are onto unthought project and this is going to be Northern Lights, where we will be doing a single light. And it is not going to be a very tough act, says You just need to keep your calm patients and people just sail through this. We're going to do the mountains. I usually like to actually just deep on top of it and then outline the outside area. Once the outline has done, go ahead and mark on top of these tape. Then now cut out these areas easily. Once you have cut out these areas, you will be in a position to actually just tape it down to the people back again. And both stat, we will be starting off with the bingeing part. Why I like to always secure these whitespaces. Because these whitespaces actually give me a better outcome when I paint over them rather than using any other medium like white cosh, or you can say any other white post to color or white opaque watercolors. So those are the things I like to do and I always see them as the best practice. You will observe that I did cut out the area and with the help of my scissors, as well as I am now cutting out some more areas from the Cape Town parts because those are also places where we need to paint. Just go ahead and paste this tape and then we are done. Once you are done, just take out all the colors the way I have actually done it on the right side of my palate. Now, how do you organize your palate is very important. I usually like to add the colors from my lighter to darker values. Like the value would be my cobol Cree and then would be my Prussian blue, and the last would be my Payne's gray. That's how I like to put the colors in the increasing order of their values. I have taken a jar of water for adding the colors are due my sky, while I add the colors onto my sky, I would be doing a wet on wet. This is again a 10-minute sex size. We are not going to actually make it longer than ten minutes. It is best to go with the smaller exercises when you are very tired or when you want to still paint, just like the way I now do because I'm a new mom and I can't snap out more than 10-15 minutes or 20 minutes during their day. Still, this orange of painting is very strong. And me, and hence, the whole classes actually made around the same theme. Many of you always have this concern that how much water should be applying on the people so that we get this kind of an effect. I always tell you this is the question which each and every big node will have. And it is only trial and error that you can go ahead and work it out. But according to me, if you go, you should always add the water and see that there is xin of your water on top of the people and that's how you keep on adding. I go ahead and add some amount of compost blue. Now this compost blue is the color from Magellan Mission Gold. You can go with any other colour, like twice at a bit of opaque white watercolor in it and get a color that is similar to this one. Offered your painting. There is no hard and fast rule of using this particular shade or particular colour from Magellan Mission wall for painting this northern lights. The, that is one of the observations which I have actually done throughout my watercolor painting till now, that there is no hard and fast rule of using a particular color or particular sheet from a particular company, whatever is available with you on your pilot, always go ahead and use that for making any kind of northern lights or any kind of painting that you urge to paint. Finally, I'm going from again, lighter to darker values. What do I mean by lighter to darker values? I started with my cobalt green or compost blue, whatever is available with you. And then just add some amount of Prussian blue. Ones, pollution, Lewis Tan. You have to add pane screen. Those are the colors that you go ahead and keep on adding for your own lights. I'm quite happy with the blending part right now and do it, let's not do anything more for this area. Let it dry completely. And then I will take some wide quash on one of my brushes and start with my splattering of stars. It's going to be easy and simple. Do not worry again, the role of the painting process, whatever we will be doing today's going to be seriously very, very simple. You can always do it. Start by adding these splattered onto your sky. And once the slackers are done, if you take a lot of water on your brush, you will get larger and bigger stars. So be very short about the water content that you have in your brush. For the white wash or any other white postal Kahlo, whichever you are using for painting the stars. And the next part that I want you to be more careful about is that use the tip of the branch while you are adding anytime of stars. Do not try to use. Very take brush, brush which is loaded with a lot of for water and less of paints. Just dirty golf the extra beans status there on the brush. By dabbing it off on the tissue or rules, you can even pick it off while you are using the saturated version of your raw white beans. Always uses saturated version because that would really help you to get the consistency that is required to paint these beautiful, small and easy moving stars. Now do not get overboard with the stars again, that's one of the things which I've also heard we all do. Go ahead and remove the tape. You will see that the whitespaces which you wanted to preserve as dead. And now we will go ahead and ping these mountains. Now I have an exceptional class, or you can say, or dedicated class for painting mountains. You can always go ahead and check them out. And this one is going to be simple. I have loaded my brush with some amount of Payne's gray. You can also use Prussian blue or a mix of Prussian blue champagne screen. And start adding these smaller antenna lines. And using my size for brush to add these lines. I have used a variegated wash technique while we were actually on our techniques section. You can see it very well how beautifully or variegated wash can be done using three different colors. Now, again, there is no particular way of using variegated bush or else you might call it by different name. Those things are common. But while you do these kind of washes all day, so be sure that the colour should lend naturally at this natural blending will only happen if your paper will remain wet for a longer period of time. How you can keep your people wait for a longer period of time. Use a 100% cotton paper if you are using less than 300 years and people, you have to always test it before using it. Go for handmade paper and for handmade paper, which is a 100% cotton, I think that you have to use or JSON, which is more than 300, that is 440 GSM or so. And even after that, unique to test the tape by i always say tester tape. Because if you do not do yesterday, what happens is sometimes this table actually make the paper report for from few of the areas. And hence, again, we will face so one or the other problem. Keep on adding these lines as I am doing. And then in few of the areas I have even added some dry brush technique if you do want to add it, go head and added. If you are more comfortable with the way I am adding smaller and smaller lines as well as the dots. You can also do that. There is, again, no best way of painting mountains. Whatever you are more comfortable with, use that as your go-to method. Now, the background mountain you need to paint, again, use Payne's gray value. Paint the background mountain, the small dots, et cetera, that we would be adding. Now let's just complete this area. And I guess I'm pretty satisfied with what I have on my people right now. We will be doing multiple lights in the next project, that is our project four. And it's going to be even more interesting. According to me. I hope you will also enjoy in the similar way. I do always painting these northern lights. 7. Project 4 Multiple Lights: Okay, so guys, so we are going to actually paint or smaller painting now, as you have already absorbed that I did divide, might be four into two halves, though people is 18 centimeter into 26 centimeter, which is seven into damaged people. And you can go for any other size of your choice. Right now, what I'm doing is I'm applying an even caught off wash on my people. This is basically how to work with the water control. Guess waterless, One thing that we cannot control and I understand it completely, but still, there are a few hacks, tips, and tricks that I can let you know, which will actually help you a bit while you paint your northern lights. This is our multiple northern lights that we would be painting and we are starting with bright yellow green color. While being designed Northern Lights. I'm going from a lighter values. And then again, I will go to the doctor values. You will observe that there is no particular way that I'm thinking. It's just that few of the colors I am applying in few of the places. And there will be other sheets like Prussian blue and being scree has villas compost blue, which I will be applying. First, I did apply my lightest value, which is the bright yellow, green, and one status stamp. I'm going ahead and having my compost flu. Yes. We were talking about the water control. The water will flow related flow. We are not your do change the flow of the water as well as this is a wetland read technique to more your colors flow, the better will be the output. Along with it. And just keep in mind that we are not going to get overboard with the water flow now because that's what we do not want. But there should be o moles of colors which do happen on its own. Blending is the most important concept that we'll be exploring over here along with it. While you apply these colors just to make sure that you are applying bit by bit. They are not going to get overboard and start adding all the galleries in each and every, please. If you have added some colors which you do not like or what it is more than required, just kick it off with the help of your wet brush and then just pick it off corner where tissue. That would be very easy for you to get the required effects which you are observing right now on the people. I'm going ahead now with the Prussian blue. Blue. Blue looks very beautiful with these colors that I'm using right now on my people. And I'm applying this Prussian blue on few of the white areas. Rich client did leave earlier. Between the scarf horse flu, as well as the bright yellow green. Okay. I think that I am quite satisfied with what I have, but make sure that your water is not flowing through one of the paintings to another. Because we are done with the first part and I do not want to spoil the first part. Adding some more pain screen now TO few of the areas where I feel that I need on darker values and blending of few areas with my compost blue. This is again up to you how you want to paint. See many people have many different ways of painting Northern Lights. Some love to do a tunnel variegated wash technique and some love to do it. Other techniques like this, water control or any other method of your choice. I have justice or two in my mind, which is the variegated wash technique. And the other one is a kind of order control where you can do. But seriously, there is not much that we can actually control even in water. It will only come with practice. And the practice with only show you where exactly you campaigned or apply the colors and till when you can apply the colors. The colors can be applied only when your people is wet. If you apply your colors on dry paper, you will not get us mood blending partners mode finish. You will observe that my Paypal is still wet and because of which there will be flow of pigments. Or if you apply some more colors on it, they will flow easily. You see this beautiful sheen of water on the people. And that's one of the reasons I'm still working with it to define that actually there is no end to working on this northern lights. And I have been carried away to be frank, with the 2pi that actually works or the beauty that you see while you're paying these northern lights every time, whenever I painted, I just wait. So see where I can add the values. The colors need to be of course, different as Northern Lights and do keep changing. And these are one of the major colors that I have observed while I have seen so many photos of northern lights. And yes, that's one of my dream destination. I wonder see them life. Back till then, we can always go head painted and finger happiness from inside. For the I'm adding somewhat Payne's gray. I think that we have kind of done. You can now leave it up to here. And then the lattice area dry completely. Once this ADI is dry, then you have to make some fines. This is going to be a very simple exercise. Again, while we pay the fines, before we begin the binds, you cannot discharge or after you paint the bytes, you can go ahead and add the stars. It's up to you how you want to go ahead and add these stars. The smallest as of course, you know how I added now, as well as if you want to add the biggest tells that sought to up to you how you want to go ahead and add it. Okay, now it's time to paint the Pines. You will have seen that how the colors are flowing and how beautifully it has blended binds. Thanks again. Now very, very simple and easy subject. What I have done is I've taken a very thin brush. Data's my SCADA optimal brush. It has got a nice step. You can go ahead with any size 0, size one, size two brush. I have made one single line in the middle. Now on DADT or B, I would be painting pipelines. Now there will be binds which are really filled with leaves. There will be binds bridge are not having so many beeps. As well as there can be binds rich are towards the top or they are moving down. It's up to you what kind of binds you want to paint. There is several different varieties of fines which appear in nature, and you can select any one of them for this purpose. For me, I have taken very simple and easy kind of binds because I do not want to complicate the subject much as we are currently doing. All the paintings are under 15 minutes. That is not much time that we want to spend on each and every aspect. But along with that, we have to keep in mind that the painting reached, choose a finish line where the eye very satisfied. While I paint my binds, you will observe that I go from the top. The top is very thin and then I actually put some dots towards the left. Towards the right, I will keep painting it. And along with it, we have to make sure that they arrived era. More and more glyphs that we keep adding it to our binds while they appeal towards the bottom of the painting because that's where most of the leaves appeal. And why I have selected sites. Again, this is a window landscape. And in winter landscape minds are very common. Just like mountains are very common. You will observe these northern lights or lean another hemisphere. And it is in the Iceland or in Norway, you will get Josephus, these different kinds of phenomena happening. Just the way I have told you that fueled the pines will have mod, leave some fuel that binds will have less leaves. You have to also see Danton height of the pines are not similar. Because again, it is nature and in nature there will be a different set of binds or leaves or anything that appears. We are not going to have similar leaves or similar kind of fines or similar kind of or even similar kinds of trees. Any kind of tree, if you see, they will not be same. They are natured and introduce absolutely random. You have to always keep this in mind. Value go towards the edge. I will just spin dope one side of my plight, but the other side I will keep it on the tape. You can always go ahead and paint more decides on the tape that would actually give you a better balance and understanding of this subject. Go ahead and add some more towards the left. I am quite satisfied the width, my height, cotton right now. And that's one of the reasons I believe that reside now over here itself, though, hole of doping and then start adding the stars just to govern your bytes. If you are not very confident that you might go over that add stars on top of your binds. It's always a good habit part. Right now my banks are not completely dry. That's the reason I haven't actually gone ahead. And the governor did have to add those models does onto my sky. And there are only two tricks that I follow while I add these smaller stars or domain sky. One is first taking a very saturated version of your wash, or opaque white watercolor, opposed to color whatever is available with you while you are the stars. And the second is go head width of police Malte brush that will always help you to add very small, small stars wherever it is necessary. Finally, I'm done and I think I will go ahead and remove the dip at an angle. Always remove the day Patton angle because that could help you do not tear off your paper and it would give you a nice edge that what we want, the clean edges. But if there is some leaking dormant ready, again, these are only practice exercises that we are doing. So adding any kind of colors or any kind of leaking of colors on the edges is absolutely ok. Remove the tape and you will see how beautiful both the paintings have turned out. There is a nice contrast that I see. While I observe both of the paintings together. They can go as postcards. They can go as something. You want to send it across to your loved ones, as your Christmas painting, as your Christmas cards, whatever you feel like sending across. 8. Project 5 Reflection: Let us discuss all the colors that you will need for the fifth time, the sixth painting status, the plateau blue or the cobalt blue, French ultramarine. Then your IDO, Payne's gray, You can use Arles. You have to go ahead with bonds. Sienna, yellow ocher, bright yellow, green, and some of you are now green. Ok, So V R onto our fifth painting and it's all about reflection. What is reflection fosters that reflection will only happen in water and we are going to paint or deflections of the sky in total water area. Okay, now, let's just start painting some of the lined area. If you have two pink the land area you need to sketch. And now how do you sketch? Go ahead and use your pencil and start marking a small area just the way I did right now. We are not going to extend our Lord on the line part. Also. It would be a very, very simple excise. Now, this exercise can of course help you in any of your future projects. I always told us in most off my glasses because the glasses are really simple, easy. One important aspect of watercolor that I can tell you is to, when we have patients. If you have patients, the rest is not at all. Everything will fall in place. Go ahead and read your sky the way I am doing right now. You can use your flat brush, you can use your round brush, whatever is available with you. Now the colors that I'm using, again, I have always told in all my classes that colors do matter, but they are not everything. While you paint. You can use black or blue orbitals. You can also go for cobalt blue. You can go for any other blue that is available on your ballot. You do not need to use the exact colors that I'm using for painting this guy area. If you see highlighting all the colors very slowly into this guy, here and there, I am not making much movements. I've selected the areas where I need to keep the White because those are the areas where I will meet some amount of bond CNO with my blue color, either plateau blue orbitals, you can even go for cobalt blue, as I told you. Mix it and then understand how you will get that deeper tones and they have to fill up those spaces with those smaller clouds. This is a little cloudy sky, you known, though it's kind of a ringing date that I can tell you. But still the cloud survey much seen individually. You will also see some of those clouds that are bigger and they will be towards the top. Whereas when you are going towards the bottom, there would be smaller. As I have told you that I have mixed some amount of burnt sienna with my cobalt blue are you can say it is even plateau below which you can use, but try to avoid the armed robbery. French alchemy and one of my favorite colors, but right now I'm avoiding it because it has got a bit of granulation, Annette. And because of the granulation, sometimes the column and you mix it up with burnt sienna might not give you the great results that which you will get with cobalt blue. Now it's time to paint the smaller plots towards the bottom, you have seen how AMB things, some of the whitespaces in that. And using the tip of my brush to make these models smaller lines and smaller clouds, do make sure that you don't have a lot of paint on your brush models. The clouds will not be formed in this small, small re, and this should be less saturated compared to the colors that you're using in the top area. But again, the Dhabi yes. Also smallholder Azuela's area which you're using and the bottom is also small and therefore you don't need to worry much, but you can only work on the cloud still they are wet. Once your Clouds are no more bread or to be produced normal rate, I would say. You cannot pin these clouds any further. Do just work on web people. Never work on righ people. You will get badges and those badges you can never actually changed. I would ask you to stop immediately, led the paper dry off completely, and then again apply one layer of water. Once you have applied that layer of water, start painting over it. You have seen that I have added some of the bushes towards the top area and the odd with the help of BAD CNR, then I'm using my yellow or go to add some more colors for the online area. And the yellow or go to the entire gland area. And once you have added the yellow Oracle, you will observe that that so very, very small ADI, use a new off your size for our sites do our size three brush, whatever is available. But due to govern this area, mostly you will observe me working with the colors like the yellow OCO orders, the colours like burnt sienna or red brown. And these are all the odd colors that we would be using for the line for the water area. Again, if you go head, we have to go with the colors that are for this guy. Because this guy will have that absolute reflection in the water. Water is still, Whenever a waterless still, then only you will have the reflection. If the water is not calm enough and it is moving. And then the reflections will not be c, the same way it appears on the sky. On the edges of their land areas just apply some more burnt sienna. And this would actually give the effect that your life is ending. And that point, you would need to apply some more bonds. Sienna Hinckley walked the other areas. You can use, red brown also. It depends on what color you are more specific or you like more. And then just apply some more water onto the reflection for the water area. I am applying water with the help of my flat brush. You can use even you around brush to apply this amount of water. Once it's done, we will start painting this guy, absolutely the same baby have painted the top area. We would add the reflection in dodo water, alien. How the reflection boxes eight is a mirror image. Let's add the blue column. The blue color will be on the water area. How do we aren't a blue collar takeover type wash. And you can take, again plateau blue or that is cobalt blue, anything of your choice or whatever colour is available on your palette. There is no hard and fast rule of actually going ahead with any particular kind of blue and just add the colors in the way that I'm showing you right now. Once you have added the blue, there will be some whitespaces are due that whitespaces adds some of your Docker values of one Sina and blue as we have mixed during those sky area. And then we will go for a final finishing touches. I'm pretty happy with the way this part has turned out. It's only some of the areas on the line where I want to improvise a bit and you will absolve me using toothbrushes at a single point in time. It is nothing but I am going ahead and adding some of the darker values and then blending it with the bank round with the help of my plaid crush. Then take a very ten brush and start adding one or two lines. These lines will actually, and the effect of the grasses. You can use science to science one, I'm using my SCADA optimal brush. And you have been often seen this brush in many of my classes, yes, it's has made one of my go-to brushes till date. But you do not need any kind of expensive brushes to actually go head and paid. This. Do not worry, whatever is available with you, the resources, use them because this is the time that we are learning. We are not here to actually go ahead with all the expensive brushes are expensive colors. You can go ahead with student great watercolors, the omitting the GI have seen in student rainwater Carlos's, that it does not give exactly the same effect as an artist grade watercolor because they have a lot of filler in it. And because of that filler, your colors will appear paid after you dried your paper or after you have, like, you are done with the post or the second Bush. Whereas in your artist grade watercolors, you will not observe that kind of change happening. Yes, there will be one shade by DOE, but in student grade watercolor they are one ought to shape for the right. Now. Go ahead and add some ripples. Ripples that very, very light one or two. Because I have told you that this is a gone water and we are just going ahead and adding one or two lines. That's it. And we are done. 9. Project 6 Daytime: Okay guys, we are onto our next painting. And again, this is a daytime. We are not going ahead butter reflection back here and we will be doing and working only with the cloud spot. And the cloud spot is going to be simple, easy, just that we will be using two colours. Like earlier we were using only cobalt blue here, we will be using French or trauma as well as cobalt blue. Do I have told you to a white French art harmony because they give some granular nations. But these thoughts will be larger compared to the ones that we did paint audio. And B will be mixing up some of the colors of cobalt blue as well as French are committing. Do not worry, I'm here to guide you through the entire process. It's always important to experiment and understand if we can get the required effects. So let's start by applying the rationing of water on the paper and it is in the sky area. I am adding some amount of chromatin that is venture from many that I'm going ahead and adding. Again, I did tell you that there is a certain amount of granulation and fragile from me. But it's always good to experiment as I always say. So let's just try to even work with this color. And let's see if it can give me the exact effects which I want. And just to extend it from the side towards the bottom. And you have to just keep painting the way I am doing from the top you will be adding some darker values and why have you come towards the bottom, it will turn into lighter values. Go ahead and use some plateaus, blue or cobalt blue, whatever is available with you to add for the colors into the sky area, I am just adding some more darker values to Woodstock dog, often cloud area. Okay, now that had some Waldrop, cobalt blue towards the bottom area. Once I am adding this cobalt blue towards the bottom area, do check the colors high. They actually go ahead and take the car I sometimes on my tissue because I want some lighter values and you will see me using size four crush for doing this clouds painting. Again, the sky is a really small area. We're doing smaller paintings and that's one of the reasons. Always go ahead and add some smaller clouds. Keep lending the colors so a bit more and just extend or fuel parts here and there. If you have more colors on your brush, it's good to always take that extra Carlo and wiped off on your tissue, just, uh, we are doing right now. You will see this trick to be always very handy in any of your brain thinks that you are doing. Just go ahead and add some more darker values onto your clouds next. It's going to be really simple and easy painting again, as I've told you, it is a battle to the one that we have painted the reflection because that is also during their data and that we are capturing this guy into the water area. And here we are capturing this guy while we are painting their land area with some greens. You will observe is also of me that I do wait a bit before I applied my colors onto the sky, patients as always Turkey as I have told you, go ahead and add some burnt sienna into your blue and you will get all dirty black, kinda full-color, or you can say in this particular color for your sky area. Add this onto your sky and you will have smallest fires while you come towards the bottom. Smaller, I mean clouds when you are coming towards the motor. Whereas you will have larger clouds while you are on to the top areas and new will leave more whitespaces over there. Compared talk while you are painting the bottom area. Now it's time to actually work on the detail part of this guy. There will be some of the areas which would be darker in values where we are painting our sky. And it would be towards the bottom we will go over the cobalt blue that we have already applied, or Charles the plateau DO coils that you have applied. I think the plateau blue that you have applied. Rest. Go ahead and wait, watch. Do you want to actually paint for ordered or you want to leave it over there. If you want to add any darker values, go ahead and add those darker values. You want to pick up some of the colors. Go ahead and pick up those colors. It is all up to you how you want to manage this whole of the painting. These are a few tips and tricks that you can use in any of your future projects, as well as go ahead and add these smaller clouds while you are coming towards the bottom area. Once the bottom area is done, then you need two legged SKD or dry completely. They are not willing to overlook in any of these areas. Some of the areas needs to be white. So be very sure while you are actually leaving those bytes without the whites that lousy run, not look so beautiful. Pick up some of the green color. This is the bright yellow green that I'm applying. This bright yellow green needs to be applied on the bottom area. You can even go for on any other colors of your choice. For me, I have taken green because it is a bright summer afternoon and for the right summer I've known this green can actually lit up the day altogether. And some model of greens now, the greens aren't going to be very beautiful aspect that you can add onto any paintings. The process again is the same the way you have applied the other colors. All your data's, your buoyancy. And I'm wildly vivid painting our first part of this reflection and add some water green onto the bottom area. The bottom area while you are coming towards the Absolut bottle would be more ductile compared to the area when you are towards the horizon. That's all we will be doing over here. You can go ahead and add some more darker values towards the horizon. Finally, time to add somewhat details onto the grounds and the grasses. The grounds and the grasses are going to be very, very simple. We will just add one or two lines with the darker values. You will observe that sometimes I do even clean the area with the help of my flag brush. Again, this is one small trick that you can use. Once this paper is dry, then only add these glasses because we do not want these glasses to spread through. I'm using my SCADA optimal brush to add these follow lines. You can also go ahead and use any of your thin brushes so to get these kind of lines. And that's it. You can keep on adding them on the left and on the right. That's all we will be doing or we will be painting. Once done with this, I will even try to add some more or white into these grass area. The other highlights that I want to show and it is I told you it says on my date, but then you do have these clouds because sometimes the grasses do have some highlights and those are the highlights I would love to always show further as the details of my painting because we're not going to go for much of difficult. Things are difficult aspects that we want to cover it as a simple landscape of glass where you are doing very small, small landscape, easy landscapes just to satisfy yourself. And in less than 15 minutes, it has always been my target because there are days where we aren't really busy. And as a mom, I know that I cannot stop out more than ten to 15 minutes doping. And to actually satisfy myself, I am using my whitewash now. You can go ahead and use of fentanyl job Ben, which is white in color or you can go for any other white pen. To add these lines. Let us remove the Deepak and I know, and then Harpo find, look at the painting. It is one of the best paths because it has been really simple and easy till now, according to me. But if you are unable to get the desired effects, just try once more. I'm pretty sure about it. You will be more than happy to actually get the exact painting that I have done. I'm pretty sure about it. All those gaps are easy to follow and you wouldn't be in a position to nail it? Absolutely. Go ahead and remove the tape at an angle. And once you have removed the tape at an angle, I will find look at your painting. Since there are two paintings on one page, I always love to see the contrast that it brings in. 10. Bonus Lesson: There are various colors that we will be using for completing both of these paintings. He does Windsor orange for Obama and Cato deep copyright Rrose, Prussian blue, cobalt blue, right, valid means gray or black. Just speed up. The video is 2x. You can always go ahead and adjust the speed if you want to lower down the speed. Now, since this is a bonus lesson, I just wanted to show you how you can actually do some of the paintings which are really simple. I mean Z under 15 minutes. We are starting with the cobalt blue on the top, and then in the bottom I'm adding my Windsor orange. Once I have added my Windsor orange, I will again start from the top and move towards the bottom. I'm using the colors from Vincent on Newton. You can go for any other colors of your brands or off the choice that is available with you. There is no hard and fast rule of using any particular color or particular shake. I started off with a cobalt blue. Then I'm going ahead and adding some amount of crushing blow to get their darker values of this guy. Who weighs, keep all blending brush ready with you to blend the colors when I'm using around brush. So for black velvet to blend my colors. Now, you might have observed that my horizon line is just not in the middle. It is towards the top of the area, which is 40% of the ADA is my sky and the rest 60% is the water area. I'm going ahead and adding some colors to my water area, which is my been said orange, but it is all the more lighter shade compared to the one that I have added for this guy. Then go ahead and add some mix of pollution blue and go back and you can also go for cobalt blue and then add some pollution, will enjoy it. Keep adding the colors so towards the bottom and then no blended well with the help of your blaming brush. Take something in water while loop lender colors, you will observe that we are printing the waters and this would be the wet on wet technique that I did show you earlier. Now we're done with means that though on the web people, people faint with our red colors. Before we go ahead and do it, just make sure that we are getting the reflection of the mountains that we have, what the hills which you see on the horizon line. And I'm just going ahead and making some small lines on the web people. This is how you have to adding these lines. And then finally, we will add the mountains. Before we go ahead and add the mountains, I will just highlight some of the lines now my people is named me dry. It's not completely drivers are not completely wreck. You can go forward on red also completely. I have gone for more of where Don try kind of technique. Though, experimenting or no smaller people would actually make it difficult to add these kind of lines if he going ahead with the Wet on wet technique because we don't wet technique means that your water would be flowing. And because your water would be flowing, therefore, it would be difficult to actually get these lines that you see in the painting right now. I am making some more ripples. Now. At the bottom, lydia, Again, these are basically the ripples that we wanted to show. And once we're done with the repulse, we will go ahead and act on mountains. Now, the mom nuns would be again in Payne's gray. You have to make one small outlined pose with the mountains and then we will go ahead. And I had the mountains. Finally, it's time though, had these mountains as either tell you. I'm going ahead with my pencil type test monograph. You can go for any pencil that is available with you. As I've told you, there's no need to buy any kind of pencil or brushes, as well as colors that you see over here. Always go head whether colours that is available with you. Though, they transcend premium brushes, which you all might actually help though, ease out the paintings sessions. But overall, we are right now learning. And learning is the process where you are more interested in understanding the techniques and how you work it out to devote the entire painting rather than focusing on what other colors, what are the brushes? Okay. How is the exact pencil look like, look and feel, and all of it, that is all secondary. We have to write now look at the primary aspect and that is just painting or small 15 minutes painting that we will be doing now, as I did already tell you, this painting is under 15 minutes. Hours will answer. 2x speed. So remember to adjust the speed if you want to actually go head and painted in real time. Finally, I will just add those some more dollars. And this is going to be my then said orange on top of the oven, sir. Orange, I'm just adding some more opera. Watercolors are from again, Windsor and Newton. You can go ahead with any hybrid color that is available with you. Many of you have been asking me, is there any organic DevOps opera. To be frank, I still, I haven't discovered much of qualitative of Opera backed. You can use car mine or any other pink that is available with you. This is the brightest paint which I see, and it is really vibrant when you paint any kind of skies with this color. Therefore, alternating it with car might, might not actually serve the purpose. Still, it can give something more closer to it. Go ahead and keep blending the colors. I'm using my flat brush for gaining the colors well, and then add some more bright violet. I actually blending my bride valid with some of the opera that I have. As well as you can always go ahead and mix the bright violet with opera, which will give you actually some color that is in-between. The operand, bright violet. It can be a red violet color. And hence, just keep adding it has this guy looks more beautiful. And to add more gradient, what you do is just add some clouds in as very simple and easy manner as you are observing me doing it right now on the painting. Once you are done with this guy idea, then I would ask you to just let this whole of the ADR drywall before adding the stars and then go ahead and add some stars. Little white goulash argue, can use any other Jelly Roll pen or your row white, opaque watercolors to work out the same. And then you will observe that earlier I did add some vigorous doesn't waste guy. And then I'm going ahead and adding some smaller stars. I would leave it up to you how you want to paint the stars? If you want smarter stars, of course, you need to have less water on your brush. If you want bigger starts, you can have more water on your brush to get those bigger stars. Have some CALEA author land when I'm using my pains great to do it. You can even use some flack to add this hand. Then Viva had one palm tree. And then keep painting the palm trees, right? No. But first to do sketch, get just a single line that you can add. And then I'm using my SCADA optimal brush. I'm adding more pressure while I'm painting their tree trunk. Let us, I am adding less special B1. I'm going towards the top. Finally, you can absolve me painting this palm tree. And you can very well see that they are almost going to finish off this painting in very less time. This is the longest part of the painting because you have to paint the leaves. You have to paint a tree trunk. And there is more detailing that we are adding over here, whereas there was really less amount of time required when you were painting the sky. That's the way I loved to go for paintings which are less than 15 minutes. Now, you can always choose and select your subject that you'll want to pin. Because with the busy lives, I know it's very difficult to take out time for your hobby or in case you have these kinds of interests. It becomes really difficult with the studies or any kind of other activity that you have had for me, I have always be inclined towards painting small, yet impressive, because I do have coffee. Small daughter, I need to take care of her, but along with it, I need to also pay because that is something which gives me a lot of Troy from within. Therefore, it is really important for all of us to keep painting and following the passion that we have. I'm really passionate about painting with watercolors. It gives me immense pleasure. I hope that you too, that like the last six paintings which we did, of course there were way more detail and they vary more difficult in terms of when we were increasing the difficulty level, starting with easier paintings and then moving on to more difficult paintings. Whereas the last two paintings are really simple, which I've added in the bonus lesson. Whatever you feel more comfortable work, you can always go start with that and then even try these techniques on your own projects. I'm pretty sure you would be able to actually figured out projects more easily once you develop a lot better on your techniques. I would love to either move now to the final painting on the right because that would help me to see this painting near completion rest. I feel that I'm pretty happy with the outcome, except that one small area where there is white on the palm tree. I will go ahead and let the paper drive rather than actually changing anything right now. And then on top of the white washer will go had with my pains grey or black colour. To act, the boundary leaves. I am painting the moon right now. It is a half-moon hand. You can go for even so-called, Or you can go for a semicircular moon, whatever URL or richer book kind of moon you like. Go ahead with it. And now I'm adding this black and then go ahead and remove the tape. Have a look at the final painting. I'm pretty sure about it. You would actually love to paint something which is so bio-film burnt aswell as beautiful. Do not forget to upload your projects in the project gantry, as well as if you are there on Instagram, Go ahead and just share your projects with me. My Instagram handlers, watercolor dot illustration got later. I would love to share it back on my stories, as well as lead me or feedback if possible. That really helps me to understand what are the improvements that I need to make as well as what are though, high points not yielded find in this particular painting has always remove the tape at an angle and then we will have a final look at a painting. Hope to see you soon in the next class. And happy painting guys. Sometime status for my own satisfaction. That's the only thing I'm doing right now.
