Website #1: one of my favorite platforms for creating Social Media Graphics on the Internet is with Can Va. Campbell makes it really easy and simple to create some stunning looking images for all your social media platforms, e books, presentations, marketing material, and we'll go ahead and take a look at that real quick. So if you go to www dot com the dot com, you can see that you can sign up with Facebook with Google or set it up with an email. It's free to create an account. However, They do offer a paid subscription to their business account, which offers some extra tools and features. But you won't need that at all. Now most of the stuff in here is for free. However, they do charge a dollar if you get some of their other photographs and graphic design elements or templates. But there's plenty of free stuff on here that you can use to make some killer looking artwork, so once you log in, you'll be taken to their main dashboard, and here you can pick a different type of design. These are templates that can va has provided for all kinds of different things that you would need graphics. Four such a social media post presentations, posters, different type of social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, different types of documents, stuff for blog's and e books, marketing material, social media and email headers, events and adds. And what they do is they are constantly adding and updating these templates so that you can die right in and start creating immediately. And you don't have to be a really great graphic design artist. That's the beauty of this program. They make it very simple for you. They're also constantly updating the pixel resolution of these templates. So Facebook goes in and changes the resolution of their Facebook cover. Campbell will automatically update this for us, and it just makes it really easy because we don't have toe always be checking to see what the new resolution is. So let's go ahead and click on the Social Media graphic, which is 800 pixels by 800 pixels, and when we do, it will open up their design dashboard. And one of the most powerful things in this program is that they have templates on the left hand side pre made for you to start using immediately. Now, with these templates, you're going to see that they're either for free or they have, ah, dollar sign in them. If there's a dollar sign, it means that template cost $1. However, $1 is very cheap, and I've used quite a few of these designs, but you don't need to. You can pick some of these awesome free designs that they have, and they have quite a few of them. So once you find one that you like, you can just left click on it and it will automatically drop it into the design area for you. Here. You can go ahead and click on the text and start making edits. You can change out the background image if I zoom out here to see this a little better. You can also apply different photo filters to the image. If you want to change out the look, you also have advanced options where you can completely change out each parameter individually, and it's just very intuitive and very easy to use. If we go to the Elements section, you're going to see all kinds of both free and paid for elements that you can use including photos, grids, frames, shapes, lines, illustrations, Icahn's charts and more. So if we click on free photos, you'll see a large database of free photos that you can use here, and all you have to do is left click and drag it into the design element, and it'll pop it in right. Therefore, you nice and easily. So they just have made this so easy and great to use. And it's applying the filter that we chose earlier. There's also a bunch of different text options. If you want to change out the text, you can see all these options here and at the top. They're going to show you all the freed ones, and then later on, you can see some of the paid ones at the bottom. We can also change out our background image. If we don't want to use photograph, we can use some of these patterns or solid colors, and also we can upload our own images directly into camera. Once we're done, we can go ahead and click the download button and export this out as a low resolution J. P G file, ah, high resolution PNG file or even a PdF so If you're creating an e book, you can actually use canvas to create multiple pages and have the same graphic design elements on all your pages. Design your E book and then go ahead and export that out as a PdF once you export. If you have any type of things in your design that costs money, a pop up box will show up and ask you input your credit card information and they do offer credit. So if you buy in bulk 10 or 50 or 100 credits, you can actually save some money that way. So camera is very awesome. I love the program, and they have a wide range of templates that you can use to get started in creating social media graphics today. 3. Website #2: one platform that makes it really easy to edit your photos is the PIC monkey platform, and this gives us a whole ton of really great tools that we can use to even add text, edit our photos, do filters and touch up tools and a whole lot. So this is the PIC Monkey website. If you go to www dot pic monkey dot com, and if I scroll down to the bottom here, I can check out the pricing. So there is a ah, pricing under the support buttons here, and I click on that and I'll show me the pricing plans. So the great thing about this website is that you can try the basic no subscription free software, and you don't even need a set up an account, and we'll take a look at that here in a minute. But you can pay to get some extra features. If you pay annually, you save a little bit of money, and you can also pay monthly for a little bit of more. But basically, with the basic features, you get all the tools, features, effects, textures, frames and overlays. They are going to show some advertisements and, um branding and different things of that nature. And then if you pay for the monthly or annual for, you just get Ah, bunch more tools, overlays, effects, premium fonts and you can make collages and, of course, not have any ads. But if we go ahead and we click on the try a button, it's going to take us over to their editor. And, of course, we can see the ads on the page. But that doesn't bother me at all. They do have their branding here that is going to be on these photos, but basically I can come in here and start editing my photos really easily, and this is a great program for it. So if I click on Open and I go to my computer, I can go ahead and open up a new image under my downloads section. I'll just pick this architecture image that I have here, and I'll go ahead and bring that in, and I have a whole slew of different things that I can do so I can crop it, change the canvas color, rotate exposure, colors, sharpen and more. So let's just pick, say, the exposure for a moment and I can come in here and just start messing around with some of the settings and getting some cool, different features that I would like. Um, it's asking me if I want to keep that I discarded that. So then, um, I can also come in here, and I have a lot more tools that I can use. So there's some photo enhancement tools and different types of effects. So this is really cool. You can punch these in and get some different effects here, like Process dusk and Trepp it. I like a lot of these and then they also give you the ability to kind of a just sees as you see fit, which is great. So you see that intrepid is actually for the paid paid one, and then they have some touch up effects. So ah, blemish airbrushing, wrinkle removers, spray tan teeth, whitener, lip tent. So this allows us to edit our photos, especially if you're dealing with any type of people, which is really cool. We have text options here that we can go ahead and add text so we actually can use this for social media platforms if we want to make any type of advertisements or inspirational quote images. We have some overlays that we can add, which is pretty cool. It just gives us a chance to pop in some graphic design elements. Of course, Cesaire afford the paid version. We have frames that we can add so we can put in some different frames here. We have textures that we can put in, and then we can actually set up some different themes if we want to. So this is another way to come in here and take your photos and do some really cool effects with them. So this is a really, really neat program to use. And then, once you have it all finished, ready to go, how you like it. You can just go ahead and click on that save button here, and then you can tell what type of file Low resolution J. P. G. Or high resolution PNG. You can go ahead and set the quality and their dimensions that you want and hit save to computer and go ahead and export that photo out for your social media platform, your business or your brand 4. Website #3: Adobe has recently launched a new product called Adobe Sparked, and this application is a lot of fun and lets you do a lot of really great things with social media. So let's go ahead and take a look at that. If you go to spark dot adobe dot com here, you can sign up for a free adobe. Creative Clouds accounts and go ahead and log in. So this is free to use. If we scroll down here, you can see a couple of the things that you can make with Adobe Spark. The 1st 1 is Social Media Graphics, which will be taking a look at today. You can also make Web stories, which is really cool. It's a neat little way to make some interactive Web pages, and then you can also make animated videos. So this is also a very powerful tool for Sarah sharing on social media, and it just makes it really simple to go ahead and create these graphics. And so let's go ahead and take a look at that Now, once you log in, this is going to be the main design page that you're going to see and we can go ahead and click the plus sign to create a new graphic. And it's going to ask you, What would you like? A post a page or a video? We'll go ahead and do a post for now. And the cool thing about this application is it just kind of walks you through the process . It's very easy to use because it's showing you step by step, what to do. So here it's going to say what you want to say, and we're going to say, Um, check out this awesome course, okay? And then we can pick what we want the graphic size to be. So do we want it to be for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, a poster, a slide and so on. I'll just choose Facebook and hit. Continue. So now it's going to go ahead and make this graphic to the Facebook dimensions that automatically work with that platform. And then once we choose the continue button, it's gonna take a moment and go ahead and load up the design dashboard here and on the right. We have some different themes that we can use so that they have all these different types of themes that look really great. And we can just go ahead and pick one of these. And then once we have our theme selected, we can change out the text or we can replace the image so I can choose an image here and I can go ahead and pick one either through creative Cloud light room. If I have any on Dropbox or Google photos, I can also upload my own photos. So if I go to the download section of my drive, I can go ahead and upload that here. So there we go. We've changed out the background image to something that I want. I can resize that I can change the theme. I can select a palette of colors. So this is great if you have a bunch of different graphic design elements in in your layout and you want to kind of go through and change out this for different colors. This is great for branding also, and then we can go to the photo section and make modifications to our photo weaken. Do edits scale, resize it. We can replace our photo and then we can also give it some custom filters here, too. And then same with the text. We can go in the text and we can change things such as the A pass ity, the font color, the alignment and so on. And then once we're done, all we have to do is hit that share button and share this on out, and we can either download it or we can share it to adobes Creative Cloud suite. Um and we can create a link that we can upload this to the sweet and share with that way. So this is an awesome program that makes it really simple to create some stunning graphics . And you can use this with a combination of other programs and you can come in here and make some different variations of some great looking graphic design images for your social media posts. 5. Website #4: one platform that is great for creating infographics for free on the Internet is easily so . If you go to easel dot l y, it will take you to this website, and here you can create a whole bunch of difference different types of infographics. And though they have a lot of pre made templates, you are going to have to spend a little more time editing some of the information if you don't have the exact infographic that you're looking for. But you can go ahead and sign up for a free account here, and when you do, it's going to take you into the main dashboard, and this looks very similar to the home page, and basically, these are already made out templates that you can use to come in and start editing. Now. Some of these templates are going to have design ah, different design graphics that are just images by themselves. For instance, this map here, though you see the different colored regions, that's all one image. But all these individuals circles are edible on their own, so some of the things in here are going to be single images. Some of them are going to be creditable, but they have a lot of different types of design layouts that you can use and start editing on your own. And there's also some graphs that you can end it, which makes it very simple. So I'm just gonna go ahead and pick one of these basic ones like this Venn diagram here and show you what it looks like. So we come into the design area and basically I can go in. I can adjust the text. I can adjust the background, the logos and the lines and different things that you see here. I can also click on these circles and I can change out their color. So I do have control and this specific one to move these around, change them, I can scale them, rotate them, and then you see all the individual text elements that is making up this infographic. Now I can also show you a couple of the other things in here. So if we go ahead and let's clear out this canvas and it's so we're just starting from new and basically we can click on the what they call beams here and these air the different styles that you can choose that we saw on the main page. There's objects so you can go ahead and start looking for different objects that you can add, Um, and you can choose them by category. So there's business and data and construction and different things that you see here so I can click on maps, and you can see that there there will be some maps that will populate that. I can go ahead and start adding in by clicking, dragging them in here like this. You can bring in photos if you want. You can change out the backgrounds you can draw, um, some arrows and diagrams, these air pretty common for infographic. So here you can see that I can come in here and easily make some connecting lines. There's different shapes that we can choose from. We can add in our text, and then we also have the ability to make charts, and I think this is really cool that you can go ahead and drop in a chart here. Let's make this a little bigger, and if we double click on this chart, it gives us the ability to go ahead and edit this data so This is a great way to do any type of statistics or anything of that nature. And then once you're done, all you have to do is you can go up to the top. You can actually save this out to your account, Um, or you can go ahead and click on the download button, and you can download this out as a low quality image, high quality image, a pdf or exported out. So if I just click on the low quality button, it will go ahead and say that to my computer, and that's all it really takes. So this is a very great program to have the ability to easily create infographics, especially since they do have a lot of the pre made templates. However, some of those templates are complex, and you might need to spend a little bit of time editing them to your liking. But this is great for social media and sharing different types of visual information 6. Website #5: pick slur is one of the more advanced applications on the Internet, and it is very feature rich. It rivals some programs, such as Adobe Photoshopped. So if you've ever used a program such as Adobe Photoshopped before, this application is going to make a lot of sense to you. It's not as easy and single click as some of the other applications, but it is going to give you a lot more control over your graphics or social media graphics and your photos. You can create a free account with this program, and one great thing about them is that they both have a Web application that you can use straight from a browser. And they also have a desktop version and a mobile version so you can download this, and if you download it, you're gonna have ah, little easier thymus, faras, CPU and memory speeds. If you are using the Web application, I do recommend you probably want to close everything else out, such as any videos or extra tabs or browsers that you have running just so it runs a little smoother so we can go ahead and click on the launch Web app and just give it a second, and it will go ahead and open up the design dashboard. And like I said, if you've ever used Adobe Photoshopped before, this is going to look very similar, so we can just go ahead and click open image from computer. I can select this image here, and as you can see, it looks just very similar to some of these more advanced programs. I have layers over here. I can create multiple layers. I have my standard tools on the less selection lasso magic wand. I can draw a painting race, create Grady INTs, smudge, smear red eye. So all these different things add text at the top. I have all the normal controls that you would see, such as the image size, canvas size things you can do with the different layers, adjustments that you can make brightness, contrast color, balanced levels, some different effects that you can use, such as old photo and and some of these other things all the filters that you would normally see, such as blurring and sharpening annoys, half tone picks, elation and a bunch of other really cool effects that you can also use. Um, in this application. So it's very powerful. It's awesome that it's Web based and that it's free so you can come in here and easily make some really, really cool graphics. And again, you can also download the desktop version and the mobile version and start using those right away. Awesome. And then when you're ready to save, you can go ahead. And you can say this image out so we can say how we want to say that whether be a J p g formats PNG bmp t i f f p x t so definitely many ways that you can save these images out and export them. And again, it's a very powerful program that you can use. Like I said, it's not so easily, Ah, single click one click templates, like some of the other software, but you can do a lot of great things with this application. Once you get to know it a little better 7. Bonus: I wanted to go ahead and show you one website that I use for getting some of my images for my social, media, graphics and different things that I produce online. And that website is called Picks obey dot com. This is a royalty free website that allows you to download all kinds of photos, illustrations and even some videos for free to use in your projects. So if you take a look here, they've just got some really amazing looking graphics and artwork that you can use in your own design, work and images. And basically, all you have to do is just find a picture that you like and click on it, and it will show you the attribution and the Creative Commons license on the right hand side. So here you see it says cco. Public domain free for commercial use no attribution required. That means that you can use this commercially four products, and you don't have to reference who made it or anything of that nature. And then you can just click on the free download button. And if you're doing one of these small, medium or large sizes, it's a free download. You just have to put in a capture. And if you want to do the original full sides resolution, you'll will need to sign up for a free account. But all it is is a free account that you can use. And this is a great website. They've got thousands and thousands of images that you can use. You can see some of the details down at the bottom, and then every now and then you will see some images. Ah, that will link out to maybe, ah, website like shutter stock. Um, so if you go in here and you search for maybe, let's say beach, you will see Ah, down here below a ton of beach images and at the top they have some beach images, but they are through shutter stock. So if you click on these top images, it's going to take you to the Shutter stock website where you will need to pay for those images. So that's, I guess, the way that they make money off of this website by advertising or partnering with shutter stock. But I've hardly ever gone to shutter stock to buy an image, because I can usually find what I need within this website, so definitely check it out. I think you're really going to enjoy it, and you can find some great things to make with your graphic design projects.
