1. Intro: Hey guys, this is at the hip. I am a professional
motion designer and I have been on for years of
experience in this field. In this course, you will
learn how to create this 3D robot design
and animation. All we need is Adobe. After Effects, you
will create both decided Animation,
Snapshot, self. First, we will learn
about the basics of 3D inside that perfect. Then you will design a 3D robot, and then finally we
will animate them. I will cover some of the motion graphics tricks that I use, valuing the animation. Inside this course,
I've attached necessary files with
the product segment. You can download them for a
better use of this course. By the end of the course, you will become
strong it through the animation inside
After Effects. If you are new to
the aftereffects, this course will
work for you too. So now let's jump
into the course.
2. 3d basics in After Effects: Hi guys. Welcome to the
fourth system for course, through the basic
synaptic effects. This session we will cover how 3D works inside
after effects, even create three
different 3D objects just to understand the process. As a first step,
we need to import the color palette into
the rupture effects. Come to the project
panel, double-click it, go to the resource folder
that I've provided with the course shows the square
shape color palette. Now click Import. We have imported
other color palette inside After Effects. Now we are going to create
the first 3D object. But so 3D coin, To do that, we need to
create a comp for that. Click this icon to
create a comp named the compass 3D coin.
Width and height. You can keep it as
1920 close 1080, frame rate 24, a solution, full duration, six seconds. And now click Okay. Now select the color palette and
drag it into the comp. It is the color palette size and keep it at the
top left corner. Now we need to create
a background folder. So I click it New Solid. Use the color picker and pick the first record from the
color palette. I'll click. Okay, we have created a
solid background for comp. Displays. The solid layer
under the color palette, fit the comp a 100 percentage. Now to create a 3D coin, we need to use the ellipse tool. Go to the toolbar and pick
the ellipse tool and come here and a whole shift and draw yourself code
similar to this one. Move the anchor point to
the center of the circle. You can use an anchor
point tool to do this, aligned to the
center of the comp. Now go to the fill off the ship. Pick the third color from the color palette
and click Okay. Now to convert any
shape into a 3D object, it could be ellipse or rectangle or star
polygon, whatever. That may be. Only few steps that need to be taken care of. The first one is, we
need to click this 3D. Imagine if you see the
shape layer tools, you can see a 3D icon. Just click it fellowship, then it will convert
into a 3D layer. The nice thing is we have
to change the render into Cinema 4D
render, lightened up. It might be in CDMA 2D renders. So just click the Render option. And you can see that
under option here, you can see both cinema
Trudy and cinema 4D. If you are in cinema 3D
converted to cinema 4D. And now click Okay. Once you
have converted to Cinema 4D, come to this camera view. In the camera view, just
select the custom view one that WAR in
the active camera, you have to choose
the custom view one, the customer uses 3D
planes representation. We can do the shifts
at a 3D plane. Now, I'm going to remove the B2B because it's
kind of distracting. So I'm just removing it. Look at King, this
transparent icon. Now we can see the three
handles here at the shape. Each one is what? Each plane that is x, y, z. You can try moving the
objects on three planes. You can see a
camera tool and you can pick it and
I'll just hold it. And you can move the
2D plane perfectly. And it can't do that without changing the shape
layer properties. This gamma works exactly
as a 3D software. In a 3D space, you can see the friend
back side, everything. Now, we have to give
some depth to an object, then what it looked
like a 3D object. To do that come to
the shape layer. You can see Geometry
options in this. Just to note, notice Cinema 4D. You won't see this option. If you want to see this option, it should be instead about 4D. It won't come in cinema today. In that one you can see three options or three
or depth options. But we're going to choose
the extrusion depth. We don't want that the two. So this is the important one. This option will be using
towards the course. No external the extrusion
depth like this till it looks like it's
going to give that much. This looks fine to me
since the depth and the shape or the same color are not able to see the depth. That's why we are going to
give us this one stroke, a standard stroke will also act toward itself
along with the ship. Then we can say a different
color for the depth. If you give a different
clip to the stroke. For that gives us
stroke color to the final color from
the color palette. Click Okay and increase
the stroke to 1. Now go to the custom view. Here you can see what
shape in 3D nicely. You can use a camera
tool to move on sale or object looks
into the plane. You can even try increasing
the extrusion depth just to see how the
object changes its form. It looks like a
cylinder right now. No, I'm just keeping
it back to 35. Go to the active camera. Whatever visible in
the active camera is the one that is
the final output. Whatever we are seeing
in custom view is actually is to view
object in 3D plane. That, that's not
the final output. Now I want to write
letters on them, like I wanted to write five on the one side and dollar
on the other side. Like a $5 coin. For that, just click
the text tool. The text five like this, and keep it in the
center of the coin. I'll change the color
to the last kind of the Cloud Pilot
could have you have to change it into a 3D shape
by clicking this 3D icon. Duplicate the same text by pressing the control
plus D. Now, just change the text
into our dollars. Now we have two letters, $500, go to the custom view. You can see both one, but both out all at
the top of the coin. But I want a dollar to be on the friend and five
to be at the back. We can keep the dollar the same place in
citizen, a friend. But I'm going to
move the file to the back of the coin
using the xy-plane. That plane is basically
to move back and friend. I'm going to use that
and I'm going to move the file to the back like this. Now take the camera tool and
rotate the plane like this, just to hold it under date. You can just drag it. You will see the difference. This hold and drag. Now that you can see five game
backwards daily, the very far back. I don't want five to
go up to this much because we can see a gap
in between two objects. There should not be any gap
in bringing two layers. Then only it will make sense. So I want the F5 to be exactly
at the back of the coin. So again, move it forward
using that seems at plane. Now we have done. But
there's a problem that five is reflected
the score to the layer transform flip horizontal.
Now it's done. Got a five at the back on the
dollar, wanted the front. That's it. And we want to place any objects on the top of the 3D object. You have to convert that into 3D and you have to use
planes as we did here. Then I'll just bad
at both $1.5 to the other shape layer and change the shape
player named to coin. Now just select that
coin and increase the size until it's
really visible volume. You're going to do some
animation for the 3D coin. The coin rotates. So press R for rotation
at the 0th frame, set a keyframe on
the Y rotation. Now come up to three seconds. Chain the Y Rotation to one. I want to close the work area up to three seconds so that
it will be like a loop while playing the animation comp trees that gains and press Enter
to close the work area. Now play it and see how the coined or dates
is nice and good. Make sure that you've placed the anchor point to the
center of the coin. Otherwise you might see a
different kind of animation. So don't forget that
if you're doing this kind of 3D animation, you have to use
semaphore D random. Make sure that you
are in Cinema 4D. Also make to the 2D icon is on, is really simple concept, but we can do amazing
things with this concept. You can go to the next
2D object, this 3D cube. So let's create a column
by clicking this icon with the same setting as the
previous one and click Okay. Now drag the color palette from the previous project panel to this comp for the background, Right-click it, new solid. But the color use this dark colors from
the color palette. Place the cleft palate
at the top of the BG, the mood, the color palette
to the top left corner. To create a cube, just select
the rectangular tool from the toolbar and create
the shape like this, the center of the comp. Make sure the fill has a second color from
the color palette. Centered anchor point. Now click the 3D icon to make it a 3D layer anchored
the custom view command. The geometry options extend the extrusion depth like this, and then look at
the cube structure. We can take a camera
tool and just rotate the plane to see the structure
in different planes. You can see the side,
you can see the top, you can even rotate
to see the bottom. We have created this cube, and this is similar
to what you have done to create 3D coin. Both have the same process, but what we are going to learn
here is how to intersect two 3D objects that
just duplicate the layer we're plotting
the control plus D and change the stroke color. Because if both are in same
credit will be confusing. A little bit
difficult to follow. We have to change
the stroke color to one of the colors from
the color palette. Since the color palette is, it's not 3D, so it's
not visible here. Go to the active camera, change the stroke color to the second color from
the color palette. Again, come to the custom view. Select the second shape will be to talk by just using
the y-direction. Now with a Z, we
can move it back. We can see the shape
is moving back. But you don't have to move it back because we're going
to do only intersect. Just skip it in between
somewhere like this. You can't just, shapes are
getting in perspective. We have to just reduce the
full shape so that you can see the intersection
mode or first shape up to this extent and make it look like it's
under Section short. Clearly. You can use a camera tool and
see other object positions. I want to adjust the
first two cubes end and the second shapes and
placed at the same point. If you go to the act to camera, you can't see the heights
are not the same level. I'm just moving into the top. Parenting the ship to ship one. Press R for rotation
for the shape one, and set a keyframe
for y rotation, come to 26 and keeping
the wire rotation as one. Close the work area
by pressing E and make sure the anchor
point that's central to play the animation. Fine. Which is learning both
the intersection. The next is, we're
going to create onto the 3D shape to learn
another concept. So create a comp and the name of the compass, 3D irregular shape. Drag the color pallet
inside the comp. Create a new solid layer. For the last two comps, use the first hair color
from the color palette. Place the solid laid under the color palette with the color palette to
the top left corner. Go to the toolbar
and pick the star, two star shape at the center like this,
centered anchor point. Change the fill color to the third color from
the color palette. And Stalker to the fourth
Eclair to the cleft palate. Make the layer to
double-click in this 3D icon, give Extrusion Depth 50. Come to the custom view. You're going to create a hole
in the middle of the ship. That's what we're going
to do with the shape. Select the layer, go to
the active camera again, the Ellipse tool
from the toolbar, hold Shift and draw an ellipse in-between the shape
in the same layer. You have to draw
on the same layer. Once you've created this
opened the shape layer, highlight the contents
and add most part. The most part give more
to exclude intersections. We got the hole in the ship. The concept is excluding the water that we're drawing
on the top of the object. You can try and play with the Merge Path option to
create complex shapes. If you go to the customer, you can see how the ship looks. Now, try using the camera
and see how the shape looks. Again, come to the
act. Two cameras set a keyframe for y rotation. At the 0th frame. Come to this external rotate
the wire rotation like this. Move the keyframe now, play until animation.
Nice as usual. This is important.
Create a comp, a name it has a 3D comp. Place the irregular 3D
shape comp inside this one. This is basically
telling you how to hide a 3D shape from another com. Click this 3D icon. Since there is a 3D shape, click this, go to our
star comp height. The BGN color palette
costs, they're not trivial. So we are not going
to bother with that. Tried to rotate the comp. You can see the shape is not
exactly as it should be. Wide. This video click the star
icon, a disaster declaration. Once it is on the three-level,
be shown perfectly. At the same time, even if
we selected ratios icon, you should click the 3D icon
to get the 3D properties. Both are reported. That's it. So finally, don't forget to own the cinema 4D render option. That's important. That's it. I've covered the basics of 3D
naturalists here. I hope you practice the
concepts learned here. Now we will move to
the next video that is creating an actual 3D robot
inside After Effects. Let's just go for it.
3. Eyes: This is our first video
on 3D robot animation. Let's do people
design the 3D report. Then we will do the animation. But for that now,
opened After Effects, create a compact
within this icon, name the compass 3D report. With the night same
1920 cluster and AD. You can keep the frame rate
as 24 frames per second. At a solution full duration, you can keep it around ten seconds. That's it. Just click. Okay. Now we need to import
the color pallet inside the tropics. Come to the project panel
and double-click it. Go to the resource
folders that I have provided with the course. You can see this color palette, This click it and select input. Now we have imported the
product inside the app shop. It's just drag the color
pallet inside the camp, scale down the color palette
and keep it to the top. To create a BG layer comp
that is background layer. Right-click it New Solid. Use the color picker and pick the second color from
the color palette. Now we need to draw
a rectangular shape. This go to the toolbar and bigger rectangle shape
tool and come to the compound drawing a
rectangle shape like this. According to the Shape Layer
one, open the content. You can see rectangular
one, that is our ship. Open, that Daimler
one. You can see. Now we have to convert
this part to Bezier path because it weekend change over rectangle shape and
do an ice sheet. Because once you change
that to observe, but you will get notes. When you get notes,
you can easily multi-part them and convert
them into desired shape. I click that tangled path, select Convert to the buzzer. Once you have done it,
you will get a path, select the path, go
to the Pen tool, select Delete vertex
tool and come out the rectangle shape is
click it on the last part. That means you are deleting
OneNote. Now hold it. Make sure that you are
still in pen tool. Hold Alt and click the top node. You'll get an editable
node like this. Now we have to adjust it. I don't want the top
to be a bent one, so I want the top to
be a striped one. Disclosing the top one. Bend the bottom one like this. Once you have done it,
change the fill color to the first yellow color
from the color palette. And change the stroke
color to white color. And make sure that stroke
with this one pixel. To get an eye shape, we're going to add
rounded corners to select the ship
at round corners. If I increase the radius
of the round corner, we'll get a round eye shape. Just increase like this. I'm keeping up to
we're not seven. I like this one is fine. Now close the shape one to make the shape one asset 3D layer
by clicking the truly icon. Make sure that the anchor point, the center of the shape,
come to the custom view. Come to the geometry options. Also make sure that
you are in Cinema 4D or density mouth 3D. Gentleman two options
for not appear, not increase the extrusion
depth like this. This is fine. Come back
to the active camera. Close the ship one. I want to reduce the
ship size a little because we have to
design a robot. I want to reduce it.
Duplicate the shape one by pressing Control plus T. Change the stroke
to black color. Shape size a little. I'm increasing the scale from a 183 and increases stroke
with up to three pixels. The same shape lay to the full to none because we
don't want the fill. We will only want the highlights
to emphasize the head. Since a gap but didn't ship 100 shape tools really visible. I'm reducing the
shape size a little. I'm changing the
scale from 83 to 80 to the scale down to 1. Now it's not very much
visible and it's quite good. So I'm keeping as it as it is. Now we have to draw the
eyeball in the shape one. Make sure that you have
selected the ship one and go to the Ellipse tool and
come here that I center, hold Shift and create
a slow collectors. Make sure that you have selected the ellipse shape and change
the fill color to black. Coordinate selection tool. Keep it in the center. You can increase the size of
the eyeball because a lot of gaps I don't die ball is
scale it up the eyeball. Satisfied with the size
and the placement. Let's duplicate the ellipse
one vector, control plus D. Change the ellipse filled
to a gray color like this. Ca, we just reduce the size of the ellipse tool. Like this. Keep it in the
center, just lay a little bit down
exactly like this. Duplicate the ellipse tool
and again, reduce the size. That means scale it down. I'm keeping it up
to like this and change the fill color
to white color. Now again, duplicate ellipse. Scale it down. Keep the
desktop side corner. Select a leap forward and
ellipse three and place them at the center of the parent, the shape layer to do shape one. Select the shape, what
reserved for the patient. You can see all the
rotation properties. I'm going to just rotate
them using Y rotation. Increase the wider
addition like this. And you can see a shape in 3D. I believe we can still, Inc. is a size of ellipse
three to make it look better. Just keep it like this one, and keep it in the center. Now select both the layers, right-click it,
select pre-compose, name the precompose that I rationalize it and press
it 3D icon to the dual, act as a 3D shape and set up an anchor
point to the center. Reduce the size of die
because I feel like this is still a big shift
for the whole body. I'm going to reduce the
scale up to this much. Now we need to duplicate the
guy with the control plus D plus B fall position
and move to the light. Go to the layer, chance
form to the photos. This move it like this. Keep a small gap in between
ISIL exactly like this. Now go to the custom view. You can see both eyes and draw a stick in bilirubin dice
something that connects spot. For that go to the toolbar, select the rectangle tool, draw a rectangle shape
in Britain, I like this. During the fill color to second locally from
the color palette. Make sure that layer is in 3D. The anchor point to the center
and go to the custom view. Now come to the geometry
options for ship one and increased
extrusion depth like this. We are going to intersect
with the ice in the middle. Don't do it too much, just keep it like this
plane and move it inside. Make sure that it will look
like it's guarding both 12. Use a camera tool. This rotate the plane
and you can see exactly how the
ship fits inside. We can see the ship was
little bit outside. We don't want that it
should be in between them. So again, uses that
plate and mood friend because we will just
stick it right in the center. This is good, is essential. The two eyes, it's kind of a connection that
connects both eyes. Now come to the active camera. It is fine to create a null object as a controller
to control both of dyes. For that right-click it, new null object named. And unless I know parent, both ileus should icon to move the anchor point to the
mid of the I will animate, it will animate from that point. You have completed the design. After this, let's cut
to the next video. And don't forget
to save the file.
4. Body: In this video, we will
create a body for a report. So first we needed to create
a rectangular box as body. So just go to the
toolbar and pick a rectangular tool and draw
a rectangle shape like to center the anchor point. Now hide all the layers just
to get the clear workspace. Now, just move that a
tango ship to the mid of the comp and make
the layer 3D by clicking this 3D icon and change the fill color to the first yellow color from
the color palette. Go to the custom view, come to the geometry options. Increase tax to shoot up. Increase it until we get a
proper rectangular shape. I'm doing it up to 218. Let's see what we can do next. Now, at the top of the box, I'm going to divide this area. I did two square root
divide this on one side. I'm going to build the
same rectangular shape. But on the friend side I'm going to keep a rectangular box, but only in the middle area. I want just leave both sides
fleet that just duplicate the shape to layer and move the shape of puts
using the y-direction, displaced the box at the
top of the shape like this. Don't leave any gap in-between
the two of the reader. You can't see the line yours because of the black
stroke that is given. Since both are in black, it's quite difficult to
follow the instructions, so just do to change
the stroke color first. Then we can adjust it later
that go to the stroke color, shade, something like this. I'm changing it already. You can choose whatever
color you want. Now we can see the exact places. That's fine. I wanted to reduce the
height of this box. I don't want this much height. I just wanted to reduce it. Keep the anchor
point at the bottom. Unlock the scale, and reduce
the height like this. We have some gap in-between, so we have to remove
that by using the box downwards
with the same white. We feel moved back to
the active camera. You can see exactly
how it looks. Come back to the custom view. You can use a
camera tool and you can see how the books placed. It fits perfectly. But I don't want it
for the full area. I only want for
the Alpha failure. Just keep the anchor
point at the back side. You can rotate the box using the camera tool and keep the
anchor point, the backlight. This. Now again, move it like this. Reduce the scale with a
thought scale option. Just keep it up to half. This makes sure that you
fill off of the books. Now, rotate the shape
with the camera tool. Back to cancer, there is a gap. We have to remove it
by moving the ship backwards using the xy-plane. It's done. Just use a
camera tool and will reflect this duplicate ship. Unmoved that trip friend
using the xy-plane. Go to the active camera, change the shape color to the foster color from
the Cloud palette. Then you have to
reduce the scale. Keep the anchor point the same, and just reduce it like this using the faster scaling option. The second C, We are
leaving both sides gap. Now move the share
for a little bit. Friend is don't leave any gaps. Come to the active camera. Select Shape Layer three. Change the fill to the second yellow from the color palette. We have to change
the stroke color, come to the custom view, select both Shape Layer
three and cheaper food, and change the stroke
color to black. This is fine. I wanted to make sure there is no gap
in between the ships. You can just use a
camera tool and you can just move it to
the top like this. Here you can see the shape is didn't move forward to a little. It's very simple here. All select the shape
and just move it a little bit backward,
useless at plane. We can even draw it and
see how the object looks. You can check for
gaps. This is fine. Now we need to add some
details to the body shift. Select the Shape Layer to
pick the rectangular tool, draw a small vertical
rectangular shape like this. Just duplicate the
rectangle and move to the right somewhere here
in the middle of the body. Again, duplicate that
and move to the right. Select the same layer and
go to the Ellipse Tool. Draw ellipse shape at the
same layer like this. I don't want the size
to be this much. Open the ellipse transform
properties and reduced to duplicate the ellipse one and move that to the
right corner of the board, the ship vineyard to
change the shape color. Who select all the
rectangle ellipse ships? Change the stroke color to the last glad from the cold palette. This is good but
not very visible. I were to set up all the
shapes and the chain, the striker blood
darker value of the same color. This is fine. Silt. All the three body layers and pre-computation body after the
cardiac to the next video. So let's just go for it.
5. Neck Line: In this video, we
will be creating a neckline connection between the eye under the board surfers. So you can just open
all the layers. Move the body
downward like this. You can move your eyes at the
top using dice controller. Keep it somewhere like
this. This is fine. To create a connection to the toolbar and pick
the rectangle tool. Come here and draw a
vertical shift like this. Centered anchor point showing the fill color to the first yellow card
from the Cloud Pilot. And change the stroke
color to black color. Select the Shape Layer and place the shape layer and
all the layers. Come to the custom view. Press it truly icon to
make it visible here. Let me increase the
extrusion depth by opening the geometry options. In-between the ice center line should not be bigger than that. I'm keeping it up to 36. Rectangle shape backward to
fit inside the datacenter. The camera to not rotate the
plane and see how it fits. On the backside. It's fine. It exactly fits inside the eye. They have come to the side view. I didn't come with
the active camera. Here we're going to pick a
rectangular tool and draw a cube shape at the end of
this vertical ship, like this. Shape, the color to
the first two color from the color palette
for the fill option, make the stroke black itself, and make it as a 3D layer and keep it under
the eye layers. Now come to the custom view. Increase the extrusion depth. I'm increasingly tapped
to 47, the void back. Make sure the top
layer inside the swap. I just sit like that. Use the camera tool and
see the back of the ship. Since fine, the top ship fits inside the
coupon perfectly. It's kind of a connection here. Again, come to the
active camera. Now we are going to duplicate the top vertical shape and
place it here at the bottom. Duplicate the top
shape and press P for position and bring
it down like this. Shade the field to the top, a local better to bring this cube shape
to the little top. Somewhere like this. Bring this bottom shift, whether it is a
bit top position. I'm bringing the body
too little bit top. I feel like we can still bring the cube shape a little bit top. So I'm doing so.
This looks good. So now we'll create your
neckline connection, that x is the final one,
that is the wiggles. So go for it.
6. Wheels: In this video, we will create
the wheels photo rowboat. Let's start. First, pick a
pen tool from the toolbar. Come here and draw your
triangle ship like this. Make sure that all the
lines are straight. Now just select the
layer of the triangle. Just click, add rounded corners. Not we increase the radius
of the round corners. I'm giving up to 66. Select the layer
and I'm increasing the length like this to
get the appropriate ship. This is fine. Now
select the layer and change the fill color
to a dark gray color. Something like this. Now select the layer
and pre-computation. Not just make it a
3D layer by clicking this 3D icon and rasterize it. Now go inside the
comp and just move the wheel to the
center of the comp. Going to give some
details inside the will now make the layer of
3D, the custom view. Go to the geometry options and increase the extrusion
depth like this. I'm giving up to 36. Now go to the contents and the ship one in the stroke one. Click this Plus for the dashes. As soon as you press the plus, you can't see the villi lines. Now we're going to go to
the actual camera again, select the same layer and duplicate it and
reduce the size by 98. Initially it is 100, so I'm reducing it took
98 for the same layer. Remove the stroke and change the fill color to
a lighter green. Again, I'm reducing the
scale and Adelbert up to 97. The toolbox, pick
the Ellipse tool, come here and draw
an ellipse shape here, centered anchor point. Now sharing the color
to a dark gray. Just duplicate the ellipse
in the same layer. There it is, scale by using transform ellipsoid properties. Sharing this shape fill
to something similar to a white color, a light color. Again, duplicate
the Ellipse tool. Under the style if
three scalar little. Up to this much, change the color to the
background. Gay culture. Change the layer to a 3D layer and change the stroke to 1. Go to the custom view. We're going to bring
that trip friend using the xy-plane to increase
the extrusion depth, to see the 3D depth. Just increase the
extrusion depth. You don't have to move
this much friend. Just enough logger
that to camera. Duplicate this whole layer and over to the left using
the position control. Duplicate again and move it
to the center, to the top. And increase the
scale as a whole. Make sure that this
one is in the center. Now again, go to
the 3D robot comp. Here we're going to connect
this bill with the robot. For that, bring it down below
on the bottom like this. Go to the rotation
property by pressing Alt and make the
white rotation 90. Because of the wide rotation
and tones to this side. But we need the circles
to be on the other side, will enter give minus
92, the Y rotation. It done that way. That's good. This move it
back and keep nears robot. Don't make any intersections. Let's keep it on until
you don't see any gaps. That's it. I will go to custom view. Use the camera to
check the other sites. Make the rotation
something like this. And you can see the sites, please the wheels at
the center like this. Now if you see here, the width of the
wheel feels very small compared to the robot. Submit it, increase it. It's a complex of real comp. The bottom shape layer
in geometry option. Increase the tuition
much with this fine. Come back to the 3D robot com. Now I'm going to move
to the right until we see no gap and intersections. Increase the size of
the video. Like this. Mortgage, right? Make sure
there is no intersection between the body and the
wheel. This is fine. Just go to the custom view, make it a rotation and
see if there's any gap. Can see here that the
veil is not the center. So just moving it
in a way that it is fixed at the center of the body. Just duplicate the wheel speed for the position and
move to the left side. Place it until you see there
is no gap and intersections. Not be return the site. Press R for rotation and
keep the rotation 90. Now again, move to the
left using the position. Go to the custom view one or check for the
center position. Since the mode
stride to the left, there won't be any change in the position. We can check it. I feel like we can still move to the right to make it center. That's it. You have completed the over-designed
optimal board. Set up proper Rick followed 3D robots so that we
can animate properly. Later. For that is
panicked both wheels to the body controller to
control the whole row board. So we're going to create
a null object voltage. Right-click it. New object. Name the null object S. Robot control. We need this control to control
the overall robot. No pattern the body
to the robot control. Parent that I
control to the body. And parent all layers of
the neck to the body. Now changed the robot
controller to the 3D layer. Now that we've just changed the control to the
robot control, we can see that little board. I will just rotate the x
rotation and you can see the robot also rotates
the same week. I'm just rotating the Y
rotation up to 45 degree. You can see the robot
itself or the 45-degree. This is awesome. Now we have 3D robot perfectly
for the animation. The next video we will do the
animation will call how we can animate the wheels
on the load board body. And we can do some
head movements. We can make belt rotate. So let's go for it.
7. Animation: In this video, we will do
the 3D robot animation. First, we need to duplicate
the 2D robot comp because we don't want it to stop or design suggested protected. I'm going to duplicate it. Then I'm going to rename
it as 2D robot animation. Open the comp and let's see how we are going to
do the animation. I want the robot to be
at the very far back. Then should come friend, and then should go
across the middle point. Once it goes away from the
middle point, it should stop. Then it should move back, and then should come
to the middle point than it does have
a friend posts. Then it should make
complete or not and moment after it can leave the
screen completely. That's what you're
going to do right now. First select a robot control
layer and press P for position and shift
our photo rotation. Come to the 0th frame, the keyframe for position and
increases that plane value. That it can actually move back. Just make it look
like it goes back. And also move to the right side. Should come from that
right car to the front. I'm increasing up to thousand
for full set position. Change the Y Rotation do 33. The slope gives us that
it's coming from the back. It's fine. Now come up to two seconds, bring the robot back with a friend by making
the zip position 0. Also moved to the left, like it should cross
the middle point. Somewhere like this. It should stop for a bit, then it moved back to
go up to six frames. Four, that means 26. Set a keyframe for the position. It's like giving some paths. Competent 3 second, move the
position to the right side, the middle of the screen. The robot should turn friend. So set a keyframe at y. Rotation goal
pretend frames like 310 changes a wider
addition to 0. Now the robot has not in
the middle of the screen. So go to the previous place. That is three saccade. Move the board a little right. When it turns, we can see
the load board ID number that final column 2310, go to the ice controller. Press R for rotation. Uncertain keyframe
photos that rotation. Go up to 321, just makes them a rotation
like it. Tilt the head. Now go up to 414 and set the
keyframe, like some space, the Gulf to five
seconds and copy the initial keyframe
of ice and paste. The same FISA again, go to the robot control, set a keyframe for the rotation. Would asked to move complete
Donald on rotation. So go up to seven seconds and change
the Y Rotation to one. Now go up to eight set gains chain the wider patient
who wanted to three. This has been living. The screen comes now
go to ten against. Here we have to
finish the animation so the robot to the left completely just make
them lieu of the screen. Literal port leaving the
screen should start after. Covered twice against copy the previous keyframe
and paste with actually the robot
should start after the side glute rotation
doesn't make sense. I'm keeping this keyframe
up to eight seconds. Before we preview the animation. You have to make a small
change that you can see a keyframe at the Y rotation at 8 second mortgage right
in between the 89. Now we can play into the
animation Harvard costs. This is good, but we have a
small correction that is, before completing the fluid
tunnel rotation that leaves the screen that is not making good Push
well and animation. I'm going to move this
position keyframe from 7 second to second. This will do good. Let's
play the animation. This is fine. Okay,
The timing is set now, we have to select all
the key frames and press the F9 to easy ease it. Select dice controller
layer keyframes. Come to the graph editor. I did the graph like this. The final thing is we need to
give a motion to the belt. The belt also should move
whenever the robot moves. So far that go to the welcome, select the layer for
which we use the dashes. The final one. Here you can see the
opposite option. Just hold Alt and click
the stopwatch icon. You will see something like this where we can
enter the code, just enter time into 100. What it does this, it will move the stroke path continuously. The score to the custom view. Use the camera stone and
see the belt rotation. This is fine. This is worth
exactly what we wanted. Now again, come to the 3D
report animation composition. If you can't see the bed
moves along with the robot. But there are some
things to be considered. The first thing is
if you see here at the wheelbarrow and the
reward is coming forward, the belt is going back. This is the short happened. I shouldn't be taken
care off the belt, should come forward when the robot actually
comes forward. And the next thing is at some places to report
does not moving. It is taking buses, but at the time to
the belt is moving. So that should be taken
care off to another, I would say still. The states to see here to celebrate the one that
we have to shade the data. For identification purpose, I'm going to show you the
Laker to copper color. Now it's easy to identify. So basically not
what you're going to do is we're going to
split the layers. Once they speak the Layers
wherever we want a post, they can just pass the
timing of the video. It's a very simple concept, but helper, the Lord of
places for our animation. Now, come here at two seconds. We have a small break. So two seconds select both
layers and press control plus shift plus b gets spread. Place the new split
layer to the top. Now comma three seconds. Split both layers by pressing
Control plus C plus D, placed the new
layers at the top. Gamma three, then press Control Shift plus D
and split the layers. Place that you split
later the top. Now come with a 2 second. Select both split layers. Right-click it. Freeze-frame. This is a freeze frame from
where the keyframe starts. Comma the three seconds. Select this boot layers, like liquid, time, freeze-frame. Now come what, 5 second. Split the layers. Again, a 310. Right-click it type freeze-frame course at this point to
our robot on the movie. So we have to change the
direction of the population. We can do the two using
the time control. The concept is nothing but
reversing the later time it, so that the data should go
to the first population. And this selected,
right-click it. Time, we will Slayer. That's it, will reverse
the directions. Are the same thing for all
the remaining population, where the wheels should move. Play and see the animation. It's coming out really good. And it's exactly what we needed. Again, That's it. We have converted our
3D robot animation. Congrats on finishing
this course, guys, if you have come up to the spot between, That's really great. I hope you understood
all the code spoke 3D animation inside
the actual effects. Start practicing it. You can even put some more
awesome than this checkout, the class project
in the next video.
8. class project : For the class project, you can actually do the same 2D, the boot animation,
and it can publish it. But if you are a very
beginner anymore, try something very small, then I suggest you do create this camera in 3D
and you can publish. You can just either one, the whole board, one
other camera, one. Wish just to have fun.
And thank you guys.
