1. Introduction to Wordpress: One thing I can
assure is you is if you follow the exact steps
that I told you, you are going to
build your website. But the next 30 minutes, Yes. You heard it, right, Within next 30 minutes,
you're going to build your First website. Before we begin the
course let me tell you, This would be the fastest
website that you can ever make. Scope of this course is to
make a website that is super fast and there after a little
bit of designing stuff, how do you connect your
way with your hosting of you install WordPress and
how to start a basic theme. Hello. My name is Subhajit I am Tech enthusiastic and
Performance Marketer my life is all about traffic,
understanding sales behavior, creating websites, creating
landing pages, hacking, social medias and anything
back gets him to save. I'm super excited for data analytics and today
I'm going to share with you the easiest
way to make a website. I've been living
digital nomadic life, for almost 12 years now. Two things which has helped me are, number one is the
Internet, of course, and number two are the websites
without any further ado, let us begin this
course and let us make this beautiful website
within 30 minutes. Let's get onto it. See you inside.
2. Registering Your First Domain & DNS: Thank you very much for
taking this course, how to build your website
like in 30 minutes. I'm so much excited and thrilled. You'd get started. Let's
get onto our first topic. That is how to register
our desired domain name. You can go to any name registrars
like GoDaddy name cheap, namesillo. However, I am
going to go through namecheap. Let's get in here. Firstly, I prefer name heap over GoDaddy is because
it has privacy. Letting as name cheap gives you one-year of
domain privacy, free of cost, free stuffs. So let's get in here and
search our domain name. So let me make out
a domain name, maybe demo, Skill Share. So let's do a quick search .com is available. However, I'm not
going to take that. I am going to take
a cheaper one. Maybe this one, maybe XYZ, you can take an ER TLD or domain.com.co.core dot
n dot code dot UK. You can take anything.
Let me go with this one. The moment. This is just for the sake of this demonstration. Then you go to checkout. As I've told you, named
tube hasn't domain privacy. And I've been using name2 for almost 78 years now.
It's top-notch. I have, I believe more than a 100 domains with the
name cheap at the moment. And I have several accounts like such, very
self-explanatory. I need not even tell you. I got some mount here, so I'm going to use
account funds. Continue. Boom. Your domain. Now, you own this domain. Once you get this order number, this is your domain as of now, for the next one, yeah, alright. So the next step is you can directly go to click
on this Manage. Here. Let me just click it
and let me show you how to go to manage as well. So let me copy it
as domain name. You can directly go to your dashboard and can
search for your domain name. And you can directly
go to Manage. Here, what do you want to do
is under the name servers, you have to change too. Custom DNS. Now, don't get confused. What do you have
to do is you have to login to your cPanel, that is your hosting
and you have to check for your name cell was. So how does that look like? Let me just show you. Here. I have vapor host. What do you have to do
is you have to just go to the client area and you'll have to select
the name servers here. So here's the name servers, and let's go to Name Cheap and add these
name servers here. Easy-peasy, no rocket
science, right? And then put it here. And we click this
little green tech, which is the Save. And that's it. That is what do you need to
do with your domain name? And that's how you update
your name servers go to domain called leaf DNS. You can check if your domain
got propagated or not. Once it gets propagated, will go for next step. Easy-peasy. No rocket science, just
weight plus the process.
3. Hosting & Installing Wordpress: I'm hosting is important. Why do we use holistic posting
is nothing but the place where the fires and the
scripts are going to stink. That is called a hosting space. It's just like your room. They're all your

anything, we can just pull that fight that rule. You can take any
hosting personally, I use Bupa horse, I'm most I also

name without spaces. And it will take a
sub-domain. That's fine. Just do add domain. That's it. Your domain has been added here. And then we have wanted to go to cPanel again by
clicking the logo. And then you'll have to
search for WordPress. Easy-peasy, and you will get WordPress
here. There you go. Click onto it. Just follow the steps that I'm telling you. So before this, let
me just show you what the mindmaps tell you. You can install
WordPress in two ways. Either you can download it
from WordPress dot ORG, which is out of the
scope of this tutorial. We are going to use a
soft Julius WordPress. So we're going to do that. That's a Cron job. Thereafter
we will add the theme. Here we are. And then you want to
click on Install. Make sure that you are selecting just the domain are
not a sub-domain. This is a sub-domain
and this is a domain. So pro tip or else the
sub-domain will get it. Those files are stored
in the sub-domain. So you don't want do that. You want to install
in the root domain. So there you go. And we wanted to install 5.9. And you can add an
admin username. You can change it.
At the moment. Let me just put Skill Share. Go three. Good enough. And here you'll want
to add your e-mail ID. I'm just going to
leave it this way. They'd goes limit if it is also asking you if you wanted
to add any other plugins. No, I don't. How Weber, I definitely want to add this
light speed cache. This helps a lot to
speed up your website. You want to install this also. I like to work in classic editor so that as rather, there you go. At the moment, let me go
ahead and let me just take simple team, which

at a later stage. Then you want to click on

4. Decking up the Theme: Always go for a bit teams, however, on this course, I just wanted to make up, help you with creating a brand new website

plug-ins that do require? Once you come here? Classic editor Editor is

two tanks, however, Kismet anti-spam is really good, but I'm not going
to use it for this. We're going to delete it. For SEO. You can
use Yoast plugin. You can just go here, Add New, and click for Yoast. Does good fragment as
good, Both are good. Yoast SEO. There you go. Perfect. Used and stored. We will activate it. The adult form that you would require of the other plug-in that you require

plugin that WordPress has. We are going to
activate this as well. This will help you for
your contact forms. These are the two tanks to make your site on the first go and then you
want to go to settings. And you want to go to general. Here you can change it. My demo, Skillshare. You can add a tagline. My first website. That is the URL that you want to keep administratively male. Yep. Pretty much. These are the settings that
you do in the general. And then we want
to go to writing. If it is a block kind of thing. If you have categorized, if you have categories
and your website, you can add those categories. Still it is not
popping up because we have not added any data here. However, if you have a big team, you can just directly pull all the data from their database itself very fast, very handy. Then you want to go
to reading and you can change to lead latest
post or static posts. So we'll just leave it
there at the moment. How do you change teams? You can just come here. You can do a quick live preview. And you can change
team like this. If you like this team, you can just put in this team. That is all you wanted to do. The menu item looks
good, that looks good. The Search button looks good. I can just go ahead
and again, just added. But activ activated and publish. This team would get published. Let me show you in a second. So here's our live one. And this is how it looks like. Boom. And that is the power
of WordPress that within seconds you can change the complete look and
feel of your website. There's a block state website. So let us create some tanks. Let's say if I were

dark logo of my company. Goes, perfect. It looks beautiful, isn't it? It looks mesmerizing. As far as logos are concerned. You can always go for logos. You can always go to Canada. Trello adopts bar. You can take a gig from fever. There it goes. That is how our first
website looks like. Clean and trending.
5. Creating Wordpress Posts & Basic SEO: Both serve specifically timely
updates like blog posts, and where you want to keep
updating your viewers. Are your followers in a timely fashion or
regular interval? Let me put it this way, posts helps you in their CEO, that is search
engine optimization. Your rank on Google,
stuff like that. Whereas pages with
pages are more like your static content of which
are just one time update, like our Homepage Contact
Us page About Us page. Those are pages. Let us see how we create a posts and pages
and it's element. Let's get started
with both seal. Once you come here on the left, you can see the posts. Then we can go to all posts. You can click here on the
add new here, add new. Here. I want to put my first Most. Here. You can put
any information, like I want to pull
up some Lorem Ipsum. Let me put it here. Guys who are into HTML, they can also go
here and paste it. However, I'm going

word, press host. I'm just going to copy it. If you want, you

version, so I won't get it. Here under the title. If you notice that news will automatically pull up the title, the page separate
and site title. However, I'm not going
to do that if you want, you can just leave it like that. Wherever I'm going to

in a second day. And I want to update
a picture here. And for that, what I have to do, I'll just come here and I
can set a featured image. Maybe I want to use this image. Again. I can write the heart
featured image as the text. I don't want to entitle and I'll just set as feature image. Now what happens is if I click the preview again

6. Creating Wordpress Pages: Now let's make the pages, as I've said, pages
or your content, which is static in nature, like your homepage or your contact us page,
something like that. If I want to make something, let's say again, I want
to add a new page. It's almost like post, but then your static content, Let's make a team page. Why not? My first team page? I'll come here, I'll add data. This is my team. Then I want to add a
picture of my team. I have the picture already. You can download your picture. Perfect. I didn't ask them beautifully, and I want to add a little
bit more lorem ipsum. Maybe till here. There you go. It looks decent. Again. That's it. And that's what you
do on on your pages. Since I have taken initially, I've taken my first page. It has taken my first

forest or Kenyan. Again, these are paid, however limited you didn't, you get lifetime update a
few buy from these guys. I'll add the links below in the description and somewhere. I'm not sure the description. And you can get it
from there. For logos. You can definitely go to canva cranial Canvas. Absolutely free. You can go ahead and
you can play with the free ones and they have
some beautiful templates, logo templates that you can use. Then you can go to
Trello, adopts bark, or you can take a gig from
fever or febrile gang. For stock. For those, you can always go to free
pick that as my first choice. However, I do use Shutterstock, a dog. I spelled it wrong. It's a DOB and images. And also you can
go the elements. Also, I'm sorry, I'll do
you can go with elements. Elements is also good. And that's what that's like
