1. Trailer: I always feel confused whenever I bought my new sketchbook. And I know you also feel confused whenever you see your new sketchbook and don't know what to draw. Problem is we don't have any sort of approach when it's come to, you know, using our sketch book. And that leads to having things. One way. That leads to boredom means the state of feeling bored. And that leaves to having no ideas. So you know what I do to with my previous sketch book, 15, simple ways to go about using my sketchbook when I don't have any idea to draw. And heirarchy. 2. 0 Set Goals: Now remember your sketchbook is a place to explore, to experiment, and to have fun. Now there is no right or wrong way to fill a sketchbook, but I'll be sharing ways that have helped me, which I hope will help you to. Before you even start. I really like to set some goals and asked myself, do I want to improve some drawing skills? Maybe I want to experiment with new medium or even just start a new challenge. Think about what works best for you and go for it. 3. 1 drawing from life or photograph: Here they are. Number one, draw from life or photograph. Drawing from life is one of the best ways to improve your drawing skills. I know I used to hate that thing, but trust me, it's a lot useful than you think it develops your I2C in the real time and opportunity to do something other than what it usually does, speak and object placed in front of you and start to drive. Anything that is easily available in your house. Like you have oranges, apples, or any kitchen item placed in front of you and start to drive. And if you can't draw from life on a consistent basis, just draw from photograph is totally fine. Select a photograph and start to dry it. And the best way, which is also my favorite, draw a cartoon from a photograph. Select a photo and convert into a character. 4. 2 midless scrible: Number two is mindless scribble. Some time. I just don't draw anything and make random scribble. Yes, I just make random scribble in my sketchbook. And Trust me man, a lot of it is weird. But filling a page of mindless scribble without any pressure of perfection of shape or anything is a good way to fill your page and practice some drying. And sometime I go to say it's very therapeutic. Yes. Like I don't go for therapy anymore. My therapists hates me, but I don't go for therapy. You can also make myelin scribble whenever you feel bored and don't know what to draw, you can also try it. 5. 3 doodle away: Now speaking of another way that is super beneficial is to simply do the away. Doodling is a great way to loosen up and also a great way to spark. Here are a few tricks you can keep up your sleeves for the best. Doodle, start with a blank piece of paper. Doodling is a great way to let your mind vendor and explore your creative impulses. Everyone doodle differently, but I really enjoy with a blank piece of paper and letting my pen flow wherever it wants to go. You can also start with a blank page or clean surface so that you don't feel constrained by any existing line or shape. Don't worry about perfection. Doodling is not about creating the perfect masterpiece. It's about letting your thought flow and capturing them in visual form. So don't worry about making mistakes or creating something that is not aesthetically pleasing. Just have fun and enjoy the process. Experiment with different drying materials. There are many drying materials you can use for doodling, such as pencils, pens, markers, or even crayons. Try experiment with different drying materials to find the ones that work best for you and for your style. Here I am using just simple pencils and black pointer, but at the end, I will use a color to highlight the thing. Draw what you see around zoo. Sometimes the best inspiration for the doodling is the world around you. Look around and draw what you see, e.g. object on your desk. Patterns in a carpet or even clouds on the sky, mix and match different patterns. Doodling is a great way to experiment with different patterns and shapes. So try to mix and match different patterns and shapes to create a unique design and composition. Practice regularly like any skill, doodle, take practice to improve. So try to set aside some time each day to doodle, even if it's just for a few minute. The more you practice, the more your skill in through, the more confident you will become in your abilities. 6. 4 test your ideas: Number four tests your ideas. You know, your sketchbook is like and development department for your brain. This is actually the place where you go cry and test all the things that comes to your head. So how I use my sketchbook whenever I am going to make a project for a client or working on a big drying. Most of my illustration first start in my sketchbook. Start with an idea where I scribble it out and figure out a way to execute it before me, actually going through with it. You can see these drying behind me. This drawing. First I scribble out in my sketchbook. Then I make these sketches. 7. 5 copy other artists: Number five, copy other artists store. Just copying is not cool, man. I am not going to be well, my friend, let me tell you something. If you are copying other artists to pass their work as your own, coping in that case is completely wrong. But when you are copying to learn from them and to improve your art skills as an artist, coping in that case is completely okay. And you can go for it because that is one of the biggest ways artists learn is by coping tear masters, mentors and teachers. Even old masters like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael, copied from their masters to learn art. So copy to learn. And that is completely okay. I strongly recommend doing research and finding different artists that you like. Personally. I have found a great group of artists from Instagram like Kim Jong-un, who I follow and sturdy all the time. Honestly, this is the main method that I use to learn draw by using other pupil arts as source of inspiration, I am able to find different that I like and do not like. By noticing that artists line quality or another artist use of colors, I can get a better understanding of what I like along with my personal style in drying. Use other people inspiring art to help build up your own artistic ability. Now, enjoy the video and see how I copy other artists. But one thing that I want to tell that is do not copy 100 per cent. You also add things from yourself. This will boot your creative t, make rules like 80 per cent copy and 20 per cent from yourself. 8. 6 Try new medium: Number six, try new mediums. If you are used to one medium of art, try another one, test things out and play with it because you may discover something new and unexpected that will completely change your art or even evolve into something amazing. Like I am used to with pen and ink. But now I trying watercolor to learn new and some innovation in my art skill. The benefits to try a new mediums are many, and some even solve common arteries. Boost like creative look, whether the medium is painting or piano, you want to get something positive out of expedience. Here're some reason to try a new medium. Expand your knowledge as an artist. Knowledge is power. The more you know about the art world, the better you'll understand our taste of different mediums. Learning new things. Keep your mind chart and help you to become a better and more educated artist. You may just find a hidden talent. You never know if you're good at something until you have tried it. Being the creative type, you most likely have a natural crack for more than one type of medium. Even if you don't discover it right away, you are still unsure to have some fun trying. If they are. One thing an artist knows. The practice makes perfect new way of looking at things. New medium work as an exercise in creativity by challenging your mind to think in different ways. Exposing yourself to new things is a great way to inspire new ideas, especially when you are having a creative block. It may work well for the long run as well. You may discover a new trick that can be reworked to feed to what you normally do, helping your personal style to evolve. 9. 7 stick stuff: Numbers are one stick stuff. Yes. In your sketchbook and draw your own sticker and place into your sketchbook. Keep them simple and easy to draw with 23 colors. You can choose size according to your need. Cut them carefully and they are ready to decorate your sketchbook. This is fairly new to me, but I go to say is pretty **** fun. Find the right place for your stickers and just tick them into your sketch book and make it cool. Or you can stick some usual stickers like the rest of human do on this planet. This is a great way to fill your sketchbook. And also with these, you can decorate your sketchbook with these new amazing creative ideas. 10. 8 Challenge for yourself: Now another way to fill your sketchbook is to start a challenge for yourself. Take a look at what you think you need to work on. Andhra it over and over. And I know it sounds crazy guys, but hear me out. I used to wear any struggle with drawing eyes so I could get a challenge for myself to draw a bunch of them until I got it right. As you are practicing to grow your subject, you will see detail that you haven't noticed before, and that helps you drive even better. You can do these weird things that you love to draw or even things that you feel that you need to work on. I recently sat challenge for myself that I felt really helped was the 50 EIS challenge in one day. And going back to my goals, my goals was to figure out different ways that I can experiment with different mediums and actually improve my proportion and my eyes. I play around with style, color, shape, and try to push myself in as many directions as possible. And I was really pleased with the White created at the end. And I thought it was a great way to fill up your sketch book. And no matter how difficult it may be to draw something over and over, it's super beneficial in the end, the result are in front of you. I really don't have a specific plan and for the placement of each eye in this paid. So I was really focusing on an interesting composition and play around with different sizes of the eyes as well. Soy kind of the head, the center big guy in the middle. And then I have formed are some smaller eyes around and play around with some little design technique as well. So challenge yourself with the things you struggling on. It will help you to improve that skill and also fill your sketchbook quickly. 11. 9 Create character from object : Another way you can fill your sketchbook is to create a character out of n object that you have. We can object that we want to change into character, like I choose pencil. You can take a second and see what you can visualize as character from the object that you choose. I think this is a great way to fill your sketchbook because you are using something and bringing into life and giving it some characters. It is a great exercise for creativity. It is very fun. You are mono surprise yourself on that character that you create. I find it helpful way to spark some ideas and some variety to your sketchbook. And if you are ever feeling stuck, this is a great way to get your gears moving. High 2s, band sale or different objects. These vegetable and now this round bottom flask could just did this drawing on the sport. Why filming for you guys? And I thought it would be funny to literally have these object, have body and have face expression. So in your own drawing, think about how you can push your concept to match your object. You will see where your mind and creativity takes to Africa, you'll have a fanpage of fun character in your sketch book. Don't think about mistakes in the start. You will take time for such things, but practicing it over and over you will see growth and creativity. One thing that I recommend to my students start with simple objects like copper, loss vegetables, and everything that you see in your environment and can work into character that you want. 12. 10 Draw animal: Number ten, pick an animal and draw. Anymore. Drying is a great way to express creativity, learn about animal and promote and appreciation for nature. Animal drawing can be used to illustrate stories, explored the nature world, and to create beautiful art. By engaging in animal trying learners gain and understanding of an animal and not mean behavior and habitat. Animal drawing also spark curiosity, which leads to further exploration and discovery. Furthermore, animal drying can bring our attention to endanger species and inspire people to take action to protect them. In addition, animal drying can be used to educate people on, on the importance of conserving wildlife and preserving their habitats with the right technique and material. And anyone can create stunning animal drying. Just pick an animal, a random animal, and draw with your style and put it on Instagram and get some likes or something. Because they're historically cool way to fill your sketchbook. Learning how to draw characters which are combination of human and animal feature is a lot of fun because this type of cartooning rarely restroom on your imagination more than your Grande drying level skills. You can draw with simple pencil. But if you have color, no matter oil, acrylic, watercolor, or pencil, if you have any of them, use and play with colors. We add color in painting because they give meaning to them and help in expressing and artists emotion and inspiration. 13. 11 Draw birds: Number 11 of our series of how to fill your sketchbook is droppers. The process of drying these creature is such a calming experience if you let go of the worries of messing up your drying ideas and just embraced the shaky lines and happy mistakes as the master. Bob Rose would suggest, you will find a lot of calm and joy while giving life to these colorful animals. You might even get the feeling of being there in the nature, contemplating them. Birds are creature of full of many different texture and details. Therefore, to portray all their beauty, you should take the time to observe them. Contemplative hair feeders, there be no color of their eyes. Their personality is because they have personalities, jazz, just as us, and they can be searched hilarious means in any case, you'll need a bit patients while capturing them. In your detailed trying and more birds you create, the more you'll learn about these wonderful skill. 14. 12 Draw flowers: And the next is drying floors. Drying Florida is one of my all-time favorite subject. It doesn't matter what type of loyalties or whether I create them in color or black and white, drawing flowers simply makes me happy. Because when it's come to fill your sketchbook. So r can make your sketch book super beautiful. Because when you connect something with nature, you give them live and everything with life in it make it beautiful. So what make good Florida drying composition and how the subject is placed on the page. I know this may sound difficult, but practice, practice and practice more makes you perfect in everything. Not just in Florida, but in everything. So focus on practicing over and over again. Practicing is the only way you can make your desires are designed. Practicing is like your best friend. Practice helps you with focus better on your skill. It unable you to understand your art better and give you, give you time to reflect upon your shortcoming, to improve them with timing. 15. 13 Thumbnail sketching: Number 13 is Thumbnail Sketching. Terminal sketching is a quick and easy way to brainstorm ideas for a project or trying. It involves drawing very rough, smart caching, orphan image or idea with the minimal detail. The purpose is to quickly explore various ideas before settling on a more detailed finished drying. Terminates catching are often used by architects and other visual artists as part of the design process. Thumbnail sketching is a quick and easy way to create our design, allowing the designer to quickly explore multiple ideas. It is a powerful tool for creative thinking and problem-solving. As it allows for quick experimentation with composition forms and colors. It also allows the designer to quickly get feedback from others and refine the design accordingly. It is a great way to bring a fresh perspective to our project and generate new ideas. Thumbnails, sketching should be used when our and our taste feel they need a more concrete plan of what their artwork will look like before starting. Whether that is a full piece or dust or certain section. This can be especially helpful when the artist is working with difficult shapes or trying to convey a specific mood or feeling with your work. 16. 14 Decorate your art: Number 14, and decorating your art, regulating your art is an important part of the creative process. It allows you to bring your vision to live and create something that is unique and meaningful to you. It also has to draw attention to your work and can be used to communicate a message to your audience. When it's come to decorating your art, there are many different approaches that you can take. One approach is to use a combination of color, shape, and texture to create a mood or atmosphere. This can be done through the use of paint, textile, wallpaper, and other materials. You can also use objects like books, sculpture, and furniture to add a personal touch to your art. When it's come to decorating your art, it is also important to think about how the artwork will be displayed. You may want to hang it on a wall or place you to own a stand. If you are displaying it outdoor, you need to consider how the wetter will affect it. 17. 15 Do finished drawings: Last but not the least, do finished drawings. This is a personal advice for me because I have problem finishing, drying in my sketchbook. Or at least I used to. I haven't gotten a lot better at it, but still it needs work. Your sketchbook can be used as a practice down to learn syncing something, because finishing something is probably one of the hardest for more artists, including me. And practicing that act of finishing something in miniscule level allows you to take that skill and use that on another big projects that you have shoved under the rock. And now stopped watching this and go draw something. Alright, cool, Bye, bye.
