1. Welcome Back + Sneak Peek into the Class!: Hi, Ambuja. Um, a watercolor artist and an ardent fluency on our educator. I started my watercolor journey about 3.5 years ago, and since then have been practicing my craft every single day. I lost my work on my instagram account, known by the name by the League Side Art Studio. I absolutely love bending watercolor, Florence and leaves. And I have a lot of skin share classes covering these topics. But into these class, we're going to paint something different. We are going to explore and being a collection off mushrooms, not two or three bad. 10 are different types of what they're gonna mushrooms found in nature. To be honest, when I started painting mushrooms, I was really confused about which wants to paint and how to paint them because they're so many different types of mushrooms that are found in nature. So I decided to do my research, and I came up with a list of 10 mushrooms which I think will be absolutely fun to paint together and explore. This class is suitable for beginners as well as artists off all levels on. We're just going to explore the stopping in depth. I'm going to demystify the stopping of mushrooms, and all you have to do is just join and being along with me, So let's begin.
2. Supplies: Let's look at the art supplies that people be needing for today's class. I will be using this eight by eight watercolor Bad by art philosophy. This paper has beautiful picture, and I really like using it for subjects that need a lot of texture and the effect to show through. So I'm definitely going to use this paper pile to paint some off the mushrooms. I'm also going to use the Stonehenge a quirk. Cold press watercolor paper by lesion. Ah, this is £140.100 percent Corton people. The stew has a beautiful texture, and I really like the way the color blends on this paper. So this is my most often used paper. So I highly recommend using 100% Gordon people. These two are well off my paper. It's so this is the people. Let's move on to the brushes. Now I'll be using a couple of Russia's today. Thes two are size six. This is the Neptune Series by Princeton, and the sister Heritage Cities are both. These brushes are equally good, but at places where I want to have a lot off water on my brush, I tend to use this brush and for all other purposes. I use this number six by heritage and in the smaller size brushes. I have a size for size two and size one, but honestly, it's not necessary to have so many brushes for today's class. All you need is around six and a small size brush like two or one. So having just two brushes or even one brush, which has a beautiful point is more than enough. So these are the brushes. Now let's look at the pains for today's class. We're going to be needing a lot off brown color. So having about two or three different sheets of brown gonna is really going to help for this class, or you can always makes your own Brown's to stop it. I will be using ah bond number. This one is my artfully Sophie. I will also be using a shoot sepia from Holden and on my palette I have raw on birth. This is also a beautiful brown, So these are the three browns that I will be using most off the times, so having two shades as I think, just about enough and I'm going to makes gray and black or in my brown to make these various shades. So that's for the brown. But and for grace I have. I also have this light color gray by Holbein. It's called Agree off Gray, but having one shade of gray is also enough. You can just water it down a lot to make a lighter shade, so I'm going to use some great. We will also need some yellow ocher and fine particulate going to use a couple off appreciates from the decadent Bice palette from art philosophy, so I'll be using these two. Also, there's not much difference between these three shades, but I just thought of exploring all the different shades that I had and that that's the only reason why I'm using so many multiple brands and multiple palettes. But having just one shade off yellow ocher is more than enough, and then we're also going to need some white wash. This will be very useful to add texture on the surface off the mushrooms, so I'm going to use white cautious well, but other than that, I'm also going to use some white water color. I'm not really sure if you're going to be needing this. But having ah bit off white color in the yellow ocher to make your beach and cream color is going to be really easy going to use this. And other than that, we're going to need a pencil and then the result for sketching. We're going to do some sketching in today's class, but it's very easy and don't stress too much about it. We're going to need a jar of clean water and some tissue paper to Dad the condo.
3. Sketching: Part 1: Okay, lets start sketching our and mushrooms. We are going to make sure that the sketches are very easy and quick. So let's first try to sketch the fly or garlic mushroom, which is Ben shipped or cap. Shoot has a nice stem, which is quite fibrous. So I'm going to use one off my paintings or fly a garrick to draw this shape so you can also draw along with me looking at that shape. So I'm going to start by drawing a gap shape, which is not very perfect, but just a dry England with circular hedges. I'm going to keep it broader from one side and narrow from the other one and then just lift the bottom portion of it and add Akhil to show the inner side of the mushroom. And then I'm going to just a Dutch a stem. Do it. I'm drawing these lines or strokes, which is the fiber part off the stem, extending the stem of it down and then adding a ground level. The height of this mushroom is roughly about 8 to 9 sentimental, including the soil level. So this is the reference point for you to draw your mushrooms all of my mushrooms are going to be between 8 to 9 centimeters, which is roughly about three inches. So ah, no people bad off eight by eight inches, you should be able to Fred about four mushrooms. I'm just defining the sheep spreading ground level, and all other details were going toe ad when we're painting the X Show on the surface and all the greenery on the ground level, so all we need right now is a basic shape to fill in the pain. We're going to paint it in a very loose style, so we don't want to add too many details. Let's move on to the next sketch. The next mission is a bullet is mushroom, which is quite big and resembles the shape often umbrella. Now the stem off this mushroom is quite bulky and fact, So I'm drawing a really broad stem has come back to the 1st 1 So that's pretty much the shape that I want for. The bullet is mushroom, and I'm going to keep the edges slightly group here and then add a small little Corp to show the inner side off the mushroom and add some dimension to it. Okay, so that's all this is. The bullet is mushroom very quick and easy with a broad stem, which I think is the highlight off this mushroom. Now let's pain to the next one, which is the blusher mushroom? No blushing mushrooms also look quite big, and some off them called up like the middle one in my reference picture, and some of them grow like bells or caps, so we will try to draw to such varieties. The post one will be accorded up Mushroom blusher mushrooms have a lot of picture on their surface, so we're going to try and the big that when we try to painted. For now, we will just sketch it out loosely. The stem office is similar to the fly. Agree? Now let's draw. I know the one that resembles the shape of a bell or had destroying it a bit slanting to add some variety and interest to the sketch. Both of these mushrooms are going to have a lot of picture on them when we start to paint, but for now, all we need is a lose sketch. If you think that your pencil lines are coming out to dog, don't worry about it. We will just try to erase them before we paint. So that's the blusher mushroom. Now the next one is the portobello mushroom. Portobello mushrooms are quite large and dark brown in color. They haven't opened cap like shape, with visible deep brown gills on the underside. The inside that show off this mushroom is quite intense, and that's why I'm going to try and draw introversion off this mushroom so we will be able to paint some details off the underside. So this is my rough cap like shape that I've drawn and let's add a stemmed word. This mushroom is also quite big, so we have enough details to fill in for this mushroom as well. Again, The height of this mushroom is roughly between age 29 centimeters. I'm just going to extend the stem a bit further, just defining my lines, making the edges a bit crooked, or Ralph so it looks more natural and interesting. Similarly, the top cap pollution I don't want it to be round and smooth, adding some details on the stem, which we will Fidan when we are painting on denying a ground level. I'm just raising out the extra lines, which I don't need while painting, just to keep my sketch very clean and easy to follow along. Why be ending? Just lightning all the lines a bit. Okay, let's move on to the next batch of mushrooms. The next one is the white button mushroom. White button mushrooms are quite small. They don't have very large stems. They have bulky heads, and they're pretty much cream or white in color. And the first shape that I'm trying to draw is the sliced version off this mushroom. So I thought that the shape is the most common when we chop them assumes. So we will try to include the shape toe pain, so I'm just drawing but the shape and working on the corpse once a loose sketches, ready, fighting very few details right now, just a semi circle and extending the stem with it. Just think of drawing Accord VTB Capital D shape. So this is the sliced wash in off the white button mushroom. Let's try to draw a fuller version. Alfred with a very small short stem, and I'm just going toe ad the neck portion with a double ring and then a big fat or will shape on the dog. That's a sketching. The mushrooms is quite easy. It's not going to take too much time if you sit down to sketch all off them in one go if you want. You can also sketched them one by one as you bean each one. But I prefer to have my sketches ready, so it's less stressful when I start painting and I have them already with me. Let's try to draw an unwarranted face down version off the weight but in mushroom. So first I drew the stem and then just attached a big circle around it. That's it. So these are our three. Where I things off the white button mushroom. Very easy to sketch.
4. Sketching: Part 2: the next one is the Trumpet royale Mushroom trump. Federal mushrooms are quite Corby. They don't have any sharp edges. The heads off these mushrooms are quite small compared do the land off their stems, so try to keep in mind that feature. They also have slightly broader stems. So I'm going to draw a little longer stem compared to the head off the mushroom. And then I'm going to branch out another stem and draw a little mushroom. Like so trumpet Royals usually grow and groups they're attached to each other by the stem. That's the reason why I'm going to draw to mushrooms like so just small heads, long stems and rounded edges. OK, so that's our Trumpet Royale sketch. The next one is the easiest. It's the umbrella mushroom. Well, I'm going to draw is a triangle spread out triangle, like so with a broad base and just draw a long pin stem. These mushrooms grow slightly Donald compared to the other ones, and they have really fragile and pin stems, and they're very soft and airy to look at. I'm just drawing a slightly dented wash in off this mushroom. These mushrooms also grow together, so I'm just going to draw a couple off them to balance the look offered just to try on, you know, cap and a thin long stem with each mushroom. I'm trying to capture the mean a sense or mean feature off each one off them. That way it's easy to identify a mushroom and you look at it and that's my only motive. Is too loosely interpret each mushroom. Now that's the umbrella mushroom sketch, very easy to follow. That small won't do the next one now. The next one is a bit unique. It's called the chandelier and mushroom. Shandra and mushrooms are mutually yellow in color, their bright yellow to look at and some of them are even golden yellow to yellow ocher, but primarily the main condo that we're going to use for this mushroom is prominent yellow deep and Crume, so they have really broad, flared up, flower like shape, which have or dip in the center. And then the stem just goes out. It resembles a shape off a gramophone if I have to compare it with something, so I'm just trying to loosely draw oh, she that resembles it. The stop portion is quite fled up and curvy. So I'm going to make sure that I don't draw a perfect oval, she justo abstract flower like shape with our dip in the center and all the other details we will add when we're painting it, just adding do so they look balanced, one small, one that's just sprouting up and a big, fully grown chanterelle mushroom next to it. And then there's this lying extra on the stand, which we bill God when we're painting it like so. So that's Shandra and mushroom. The next one is my cinema shoe. My senior mushrooms are also very delicate, just like the umbrella mushrooms. They have this typical bell elongated bend ship. They're very tiny and 10 to look at, very dedicated. So going to make sure that the stems and the structure of these mushrooms is very fragile and delicate, drawing a 10 stem again. These mushrooms grow in groups as well, so I'm going to draw a couple of them, just a freely bottom edge and a Ben shape on the dog like so it's OK. I think I'm going to try and draw one more, just so it looks more balanced over the edge hand a bell shape on the top. That's it. Like so. So this is the my scene. A mushroom. The last one is the oyster mushrooms. Why still mushrooms have abroad fun or Oyston shaped cap, which is quite broad. Oyster mushrooms range from white to green, or sometimes even from 10 to dark brown. The lower stem part is beige or cream and culo, and they have a strike. Be extra all over the stems. These grow in a cascaded form on top off each other. That's what I'm trying to draw through your four such oyster mushrooms on top of each shadow. You sure they're mean highlight, which is the way they grew together in a cascaded form. So that's exactly what I'm trying to draw. All right, so that's the oyster mushrooms. We will look at all the other details when we beamed all these mushrooms together. Okay, so these are the sketches off the 10 mushrooms that were going toe change today. Oh, once the sketch is already it's very, very easy to quickly approach each one off them and start painting. So keep your sketches ready in advance so you can paint along with me, and you don't have to take pauses to work on your sketch. So let's proceed for though, and start painting all of these mushrooms.
5. Fly Agaric Mushroom: Part 1: in this section, we are going to paint the fly a garlic mushrooms, arguably the most iconic fungi species. The flyer garlic is a large, white stemmed, white spotted, usually red mushroom. It is one off the most recognizable and widely encountered in pictures and artworks. So let's being this. I will start by applying a layer off water on the head off the mushroom. I'm going to apply an even coat, making sure that the surface off the mushroom is dumb. I'm not going to wet the inner side off the mushroom as yet. We will be in that lead to run just a top surface portion with a clean, moist rush dipped in clean water, making sure that our no dry patches. Okay, now I'm going to makes a nice bright red on my ballot and apply a light quote off it on the top portion off the head, just a lighter value. And then, using a darker value, I'm going to drop in the color from the bottom edge off the mushroom and let it bleed into the first clear. This mushroom is quite right, so I'm not thinking twice before adding this Red Carlo and once it dries up, it's going to look slightly less brighter as compared to how it looks right now. And then. I'm just merging this red color with a clean brush, trying to create a nice gradation off. Hello, keeping the top portion light, which will be our source off light. And then I have a slightly darko and people wreck alone my palate. So I'm just going to use that and dropping again from the bottom a little bit on the top, letting it more into the previous red value. And then I'm just merging it nicely. And now I'm just going to makes Adar kosher by adding a bit off either black or maroon and then just applying it on the surface and letting it bleed. Okay, let's take a closer look. It's quite Y brand and bright, just taking that extra little effort to march on the colors nicely like so let's create a darker value which more or less looks like maroon, and I'm going to drop this color from the age of the mushroom. And now let's go ahead and paint the stem off the mushroom, and for that I'm going to makes a nice beach or cream. Callow using the two year low occurs from the decadent bias palette and a bit off white just going to make a very nice light cream color to paint the stem off this mushroom. I will start by applying a layer off water on the bottom section off the mushroom and then just drop in the cream condo that we've mixed on the palate from the sides of the stem. The color is very light, so there are chances that you may not be able to see on the camera. But, um, it's a very light clicking Carlo that I'm applying on the stem on both the top and the bottom section. And now I'm going to drop in some yellow ochre from the sites and with a clean brush. I'm just going to margin nicely. Okay, let's take a closer look. And now I'm going to take some roll number, just like the value off it and dropping from the sides again. So, as you can see in the picture, which is trying to add some details with a negotiate off brown, I'm just making these strokes to show that picture on the stem. The mushroom is quite small, so it's very difficult for me to keep my hand off the from it. While painting. It's quite smaller than my hands, so I'll keep showing you a closer look off her one painting it and also a reference picture on the side so you can follow that along with my instructions. And then I also painted the inner surface off the mushroom with the same cream color. I just want these layers to dry the stem and the inner surface, and then we will go back and add more details to it. In the meanwhile, let's paint the soil or the ground underneath the mushroom. I applied a layer off water first and then mixed a darker shade of brown and green and just blocking some callow on the layer of water and allowing it to bleed to represent the soil. This step off adding the soil extra and some greenery around the mushroom is going to be common for pretty much all the mushrooms that were going to paint going ahead, adding that green elementary looks pretty around the mushroom. So let's do that and see how instantly the mushroom looks natural and it starts to blend in the little landscape or off frame that we're trying to create for it by adding some greenery
6. Fly Agaric Mushroom: Part 2: Now we're mixing some raw amber on the bandage and using my small size brush. I'm just going to start working on the texture. As you see in the reference picture. I'm just adding some brown strokes around the stem off the mushroom, the strokes in the middle section. Just making these quick strokes like so and then doing it on the lower part of the stem the same week, strokes from up to down and down to up like so and making sure to show you closer shorts the moment I remove my hand off the mushroom. So I hope this is helping you to paint along with me by looking at the reference picture. There is a closer short off the stem for you to riffle. We just drawing these lines from the side off the stem. I'm making sure that my brush is not too wet because I wonder strokes to be dry and strong , like so and now just merging it, trying to shore shadow on the top portion of the stem. Okay, let's take a closer look. So that's the next show we were trying to add and now using the same grown by adding very little water. I'm just going to darken the same strokes again, which is going to layer them with the darkest value off road number. Laying off the strokes will really enhance the look and feel off the mushroom. And now let's are details on the inner side off the mushroom. I'm just drawing these called lines like queens in that section like So let's take a closer look. Okay, now I'm going back to the soil and adding some that show over there some gravel and stones but not doing it in too much detail. Just very loose and abstract, just to add some interest and enhanced the look off the mushroom. When all the other layers air drying, let's add some greenery around the mushroom. I'm also waiting for the top red surface to dry completely on. Then we're going to add the extra on the surface, which is the mean a sense off how this mushroom the fly Bagaric looks like, so we will have to be patient till the top surface dries completely. It's very important before we are the big show, so let's finish all the other elements and then we can move on to the surface texture. I'm just going to add some strokes to represent Ross. Just making these really quick strokes. Quick, sharp strokes, which represents grass or weeds. Okay, Riding a few more strands. Okay, so now I see that the top fortune has completely dried up. So let's work on the texture. And to do that, I'm going to use whitewash by Winsor and Newton. I'm just going to take something on my pilot, make it nice and creamy. Make sure it's take. We don't want a runny layer. Otherwise, the texture will be very difficult to work with, so just mixed. But take paint off white wash and do that. I'm going to add some yellow local to create a creamy texture. We don't want the picture to look white, because if it looks strikingly white, it's not going to look very realistic. But it will look more artificial. So I just mixed a bit off yellow ocher and I'm making these brush marks which are not exactly dogs, but in perfect blotches. Okay, so they just added a lot of tech show on the surface. Let's work on some more details, so I I did a bit more off your New Yorker and just intensifying the takes show around the bottom edge of the mushroom and a bit sparse on the top ocean. Okay, the mushroom. I think it's already taking the form. It's looking quite nice now, and to enhance the tech show were slightly going to add a shadow effect under the white greeny surface that we were just working on. So it will look as if the tech show is protruding upward from the surface off the mushroom , and it's not just flat or one dimensional. So I'm just going toe. Add these really 10 brown rings from the bottom portion off some off the greeny white flecks. - I'm just adding it on the bottom surface off those flex so it looks like a shadow, so make sure you don't paint a complete drink around it. Speaking nice and slow, adding tech show is something that's going to take the most time, as compared toa painting the first or second layers. But we are still going toe try and make it look lose and effortless, but wherever necessary, we will be adding some sort of texture, toe all the mushrooms, but we're certainly going to paint it and a loose style. I'm making the extra more dense on the bottom edge off the surface, adding some brown dots or brown brush marks, making sure that I'm not drawing complete perfect circles. Okay, I'm taking some cream Carlo mixed with White Gorge and just walking on the tech show to add some final details. I think it's really coming to life now, and it's starting to look. But he attractive on the combination off Fred and Beach is strikingly vibrant. Reading a doctor go grown on the site of the stem just a final few strokes before we call it complete. And here we are. This is our first mushroom, the fly a gari or the a minute Thomas ski area. And let's proceed further. You're pained the next mushroom.
7. Boletus Mushroom: Part 1: or this politics mushroom I'm going to use Ah, a couple off yellow walkers a couple off brown's from two or three off my balance, but are too pain This I think overall you need just two shades off brown and one shade off your Loker is good enough. So just try finding out sheets that are similar to these two, like the yellow occurs and a few off the brown. So that's what we're going to need for this one. I will start by a blind, a court of Porto on the top portion off the mushroom. I'm just making sure that the surface is nice and damn, I am going to leave this inner side off the mushroom as off. Now, I'm not going to apply water over there. And now I'm just going to take this your locker shade and mix it on my palette and just release the culo from the bottom edge a bit from the sides to, and I'm just going to let it bleed. Naturally, I warned us texture to be seen on this mushroom. So I'm not going to march my color so much just going toe, let it settle on the people and bleed on its own at the lower part off the mushroom. I'm going to apply a deep okelo a deeper value off the same Carlo like soul and then just let it bleed naturally. Look if and now from the top, I'm just going to release a darker brown. So I'm thinking off using There's brown here, a mix of this and this. So let's try and make some color. This is the wooden spattered from art philosophy, but honestly, I'm just using so many ballots because I have the options off using so many browns. But I think all these shades are no super easy to makes on your own. Just, you know, need to see the exact shade what you need when you look at a picture and then you can make your own shade. So if even if you have just one brown and one yellow ocher, it's completely enough. You can add some great to your brown or you can add black. Or you can agree to your you know, yellow ocher, and you can have a lot of shades to use by mixing colors into each other. So I'm just going to released this Darko Brown from the head, the top portion off the machine and then just let it bleed in the year Loca at different polices. Simply going to tell my page of bed, okay, just and then with a clean brush. I'm just going to help it flow, but not mixed the color too much. Just moving my brush very lightly. So that's the taco part of the door. Just going to bring this brown slightly known would. And now I'm going to take a Darko brown and then just add some more on the top near the core top curve off the mushroom like so I'm just going to make it a bit patchy, okay? And I'm just going to wait for the Carlo to bleed on this phone, instilled in my people and making the gala run in different directions so that start off portion off the most room. And now let's do our the stem part, which is going to be Beijing or Cream and Karloff. So I'm going to use the same mix off beach that we used for this measurable. So I'm going to makes light, you know? Oh, Khurshid And a bit off white and then Okay, just make a nice beach, and I'm going to start by applying a bit on the sides with a clean, wet brush can, I know, wanted to bleed into the skin color as yet. I'm just going to control that. And then I'm just going to apply. Some were turned the other side off the stem. I'm just adding yellow ocher from the sites. I'm going to keep the stem very light mortgaging the yellow ocher with beach or cream condo . Okay, so that's pretty much how I want to layer the stem. I'm not going to act too many details till the colored rights up. And in the Meanwhile, I just pleased some agree and brown and added some picture on the ground like how we did for the earlier mushroom. And then I've mixed a bit off yellow ocher and I'm drawing this big show on the stem off the mushroom. Let's take a closer look. I'm just making these brush marks at certain places on the stem. The stems are not blame or smooth, but all off the stems off mushrooms I saw had some kind off texture or some fiber. So I'm just trying to add some details, but not too many or I'm not going to me. The mushroom look very realistic. I just want to add details that make an impression that this is a bullet, this mushroom. But I'm not going to pain this in a realistic botanical style. I still want to keep my mushrooms really lose and a footless. So just making these brush marks around the two sides off the stem. Just mixing some values off yellow, ochre and brown and making these strokes using a small size brush. This one is around one. - I'm just trying to make the X Show dense around the sites, using a darker value and just filling up the sides of the stem.
8. Boletus Mushroom: Part 2: and now with the seam cream color that we mixed earlier, I'm going to paint the inner side off the mushroom and then I'm just adding some brown near the edge is to make the edge prominent. And now that the top surface has dried, I'm just using some ground Carlo and adding some texture on the surface of the mushroom because it's certainly not clean or smooth. It's got this bumpy texture on the top is when and some cracks and lines on the surface. So I'm just trying to add some details and make it look more interesting, adding that extra is going to take some time to bring out that effect. So it's very important that we do this step very patiently, just like how we did it for the order mushroom. So take your time to do all the details. Let's take a closer look and that's pretty much how I want the mushroom to look like just adding some more details to the ground surface. Adding some darko values, adding some details on the ground and adding some greenery is certainly going to help popped a mushroom. So let's work on those minor details, - okay , Now let's add some greenery around the mushrooms. I'm just going to add a couple of stems on both the sites, just adding these really delicate stems or bushes, not adding too many details purchased. These random brushstrokes, which looked like grass or weeds, start, are growing around the machine, adding a dark over you to make it look a bit more prominent, which will also enhance the look off the mushroom. I feel just adding some yellow dots to show some yellow wildflowers, and that's it. That's how we could pained. The bullet is mushroom in Bluestein, and now let's proceed to being the next one.
9. Blusher Mushroom: Part 1: Okay, so the blusher mushroom is also quite big. Some off them have flat heads like these and the kind of call up. And there are also some blusher mushrooms which looked like this. They have really dark brown to light brown or heads, and they have this forest lecture on the top. I'm not really able to describe the extra, but it's kind of creamy. White takes show on the surface, off the mushroom heads just similar to this one. So we're going to try and at that are sexual. So let's start painting our blusher mature. So I'm going to keep the top portion light, and this portion will be Dhakal. So I will start by applying a layer off yellow ocher on the top portion and then more rigid with brown as it comes down. So I'm just taking the Cielo Auker shade. But before that, I'm going to apply a layer off water on the surface off the mushroom. Okay, Now, let's put in some yellow joker on the top portion. Okay? Now I'm going to use a slightly darker shade and just applied on the lighter code and later in March, and then I'm going to had a bit of grown, - and I'm simply going to let the colors march. And in the meanwhile, let's start painting the other more sure, process is quite simple. We are drinking pretty much all the mushrooms, using the wet on wet technique to give the mushrooms are beautiful, extra and feel. So this one is also covered with a layer off water and start with a light. Share off your local, put it on the top portion, let it blend and then go for a dark Koshi like so let it blend and then adding the Rome the dark brown that I'm using is from the woodland. Span it, but you can just add a change of black or great to your brown to make a really nice, chocolatey brown toe added the bottom. Now I'm just rinsing my brush, that being it dry and just moving the color around to avoid any patches. I want a slight darko contras, so I'm just loading my brush without ground and just pleasing it near the surface, like so letting it bleed. Okay, and now, with a clean, soft Russian is going to march This a little, just a little not too much to avoid any batches. Okay, so going to let this dry And in the meanwhile, we could will start painting the stems, just going to series some lines before we do that. And now I'm going to make some cream color to paint the stems. Just making two shades off cream, one lighter and one slightly darker. The plane, a layer of water. And I'm doing the top portion off the stem first. Okay, Taking some cream, cutting a bit of brown. Stay close to re condo. So I'm he's going through, right the skull. Stop my brush clean. Just mortgaging it. - And why in the stems air drying Just going to do the bottom portion. I am going to use the small see green to paint the grass around the mushrooms. - And now I'm going to pay in the inner side off the mushrooms. I'm just going to make a lighter shade off yellow ocher by adding lots of water to it and just applied on the inner sides. - And now I'm just mixing a lighter shade of brown two applied on the outer edge off the side. So I'm just going to add Oh, very 10 Bordeaux on the outer edges, off the inner sites and just going to let it bleed. Okay, and now let's do the lower part off the stem. I'm again applying a layer of water on board the stems and then just repeating the same procedure that we used for the top portion of the stem, applying a light, a mix of brown, which is very close to agree. So I'm just adding very my new details, like placing a dark okelo on dodo top portion off the stem so they looked like shadows and just merging the condo. I'm just going to make some brown and a bit of gray.
10. Blusher Mushroom: Part 2: So I'm mixing a bit of ground and green to add some sexual on the stems off the mushrooms. So I'm just going to make these really fine lines, which looked like the fibers off the mushrooms. I'm making some strokes. Pointed strokes. I go middle section off the do stems, you can see a closer shot in the image. And I'm just being ready random about these strokes. These are more like shadows and texture. So I'm just darkening some media. Where the stems have this so fiber that is slightly coming out are coming over the surface off the mushroom. And then I'm just using the slam did angle off the people withdraw some more lines. I just want this mushroom toe have a very crude and rough deck shoe. Okay, so now on the cold part of the mushroom, I'm just going to draw some lines. Slant lines that are coming in woods. I'm using the same brown to draw this, not being very mindful off the distance between the two lines, but just making these random strokes and slightly darkening the lower edge at the point where the stem starts. Okay? I think that extra is instantly lifting the mood off the mushroom. I'm darkening the lower part, and I'm using a size one round brush. Okay, now let's add some lines on the intersection of the other. Mushroom is well, Imagine them coming from the center and then going or blowing out in the outward direction is darkening the portion around the stem to add an effect of shadow and then marching it all nicely. Okay, so now let's work on the heads off the mushrooms. Looks like they have dried nicely. Soto Act Attack. Sure. On the surface, I've mixed white wash with ah, hint off yellow ocher. So if you use whitewash directly, it's going to look strikingly white, and we definitely don't want that. So make sure you add a tinge of brown or any all yellow or yellow ocher to bring down the whiteness off the pained. Now, the picture on the blusher mushroom is more concentrating on the top portion on the top or surfaces off the mushroom heads, so we will add more extra on the jobs I want to start by making these really intense and close to each other Brush marts. I'm making sure that I'm Lord drawing or fact circles, but, uh, just these clumsy shapes that don't look perfect. I'm going to draw some competitively bigger and some small, but all concentrated in the dark portion. - That's God on the other one also. Now I'm for this one. I'm going to add some texture on the sides as well. - Okay , now I'm going to take a dark comic soft brown and just try to bring out the text shock by adding a lying around it or just feel off a shadow to bring out the texture. So I'm simply going to go around these spots and I'd like a ring around it just so that the extra is really you're shooting out wrong the surface after my show, and it instantly lifts up the look and feel the way you mushroom looks. Okay, so that's for the picture. I'm just going to bring it closer and show you how it looks. Okay, so now let's just fill up some area. The bushes around the mushroom I'm just going to use in a size four brush. - Now , I'm being very thoughtful by adding these bushes around the mushrooms, um, the green elements and hands to look off the mushroom. But I don't wanna add so many that the mushrooms are sidelined. - I think some picture on the ground and that's it. Our blushes. Mushrooms in two different shapes are now ready.
11. Portobello Mushroom: in this section, we are going to paint the portobello mushroom. Portobello mushrooms are usually dark brown in color, so I'm going to makes about two or three different shades of brown to paint this mushroom. And I'm starting by applying a layer off water on the top surface off the mushroom, making sure that my surface is nice. And dan, I am going to take a doctor makes off chocolate brown color. So to make this color, I have mixed sepia with a danger off black. Hello, and I'm just going to apply this on the lower edge off the mushroom, and, as you can see, the callable instantly start bleeding. So try and create a nice dark brown to paint this mushroom. I'm just dragging some color towards the top surface and then applying some color on the sites, placing a slightly like Tomic soft brown color on the top surface off the mushroom. I have mixed a bit off raw number, and I do did it a bit and just placing it randomly on the top head portion. After that, I am taking a darker mix off sepia and black and just applying more culo on the bottom edge to create a nice contrast. If you notice the Browns that we used for the earlier mushrooms, the bullet is and the blushing mushroom, this one is quite different. And, ah, it's intense compared toa previous Brown's that we mixed. So use those Brown's as a reference point. We want to mix Darko sheets off brown this time that are leaning towards sepia and chocolate brown. I'm just spreading the culo ever so lightly around the surface, and I want that extra to be seen at the end when the mushroom dries up. So I'm not really going toe Marge Tokelo, but just let it spread on its own. Let's take a closer look. Okay, so now let's proceed to the stem. Now again, the stem is divided into two sections because off the fiber towards the center of the stem . So I'm going to do the lower part first, and then the up abad just applying a thin layer off cream or beach culo and then just applying a doctor mix of brown on the sides and the ground level, adding some texture as well. And with a clean, soft brush, I'm just going to soft in all the ages. Portabello mushrooms also have a very light colored stem, heading some more brown and then merging it using a clean brush. Now, while the top portion and the stem are drying, let's do the ground part. I'll apply a layer of water just like our we did for the earlier mushrooms. Just please some brown or Greek alot. Now I will get back to pain, the inner side off the mushroom. I have mixed a very light shared off yellow joker and applying it on the inner side off the mushroom just a plain layer, making sure that it's very light. So the contrast between the outer surface and the inner surface is easily seen, and then from the lower edge, I'm going to release some brown condo. It's the same brown that I used to paint the top portion off the mushroom, just applying it on the ages like so and then merging it all with a clean brush. I'm going back to finish the details off the ground, mixing a couple off green shades and then using a fresh sap green, just going to add a couple of leaves around it. I am allowing a few leaves to overlap the mushroom, adding some more leaves on the other side, adding bushes around the mushrooms. I think it's my favorite part because it instantly adds the charm toe the mushroom, and it really looks of as if it's placed in a forest. So I really like that feel. So small. Touch ups like these can really lift up your painting. And now I'm mixing great Carlo on the bandit and doing the inner extra off the mushroom. It's got these really fine lines or I don't know Wayne's which you call. So I'm just trying to make an impression off that picture. Not going to add too many details, but just a couple of lines, as if they're emerging from the center inner side off the mushroom, coming out from one center point. Like so, just making the lines a bit more dense. Okay, adding some more takes show on the stem. - Let's take a closer look. So that's our portobello mushroom painted in the loos style
12. White Button Mushroom: Part 1: Okay, so the next mushroom that we're going to try and paint, it's the white button mushroom. So I've drawn three different angle's off the same mushrooms, so this is a sideway angle, so the mushroom is pleased horizontally. This one is an in voted position. The mushroom is pleased head down. So this is one type that we're going to paint. And this is the sliced mushroom, the same white button sliced mushroom and these other internal, um to your drop like shapes, which are which we're going to paint with some details. I have taken the schedule very close to the camera so you can see the light pencil lines that I have for kept. I just erased out the darker lines because most off this part off the mushroom is going to be white or cream in color, so I don't want my pencil lines to be seen through, so make sure your pencil lines are lightened before you begin painting this particular mushroom. So let's take off. Look at the sketch. So when I start painting, you would have an idea off the areas that I'm covering, because once I placed the sketchbook down, you won't be able to see that clearly so. But I'm going to try and lift the people every once in a while so you'll be able to see how I'm progressing. I will start by applying a layer off water on the top portion off this measure. Make sure your brush and the water both are clean. Okay, so now I have extremely light shade of gray on my palette. This is the light grey shade from the whole Bain set. So the system share that I'm using. It's called a gray off gray. It's quite light in itself. So I'm not going to add anything else to this great. So I'm just using a lot of water. Do don't this great down almost white and I have a bit of yellow ocher on the side, so I'm just mixing it slightly to give it a yellow base so it looks a bit more warm, and I'm just adding lots of water to disagree. So it's already very light, and I'm lighting lightning ITF order. So if you have a darker green, your palate make sure you add Lord supporter to it and very, very less pigment, So I'm going to keep this portion most off it quite. I'm just going to apply a thin layer off condo on the lower side, off the mushroom, like so. So the only two colors that we will be using for this mushroom are a light shade of gray and alighted off your loco. And once these two shades are applied, we will use some brown to add the finishing duchess. But for now, we're just going to use thes really light watery Mix this off green here, law, just adding a hint of great. And then I'm using a bit off yellow ocher, just a light wash of walker just going to add more water in it. What did it down a lot? I am going to apply yellow hawker on the site of the mushroom on top off the great layer that maybe did ordeal and just going to let the two colors mix into each other, making sure that I keep a white highlight in the center to show around surface. And now, with a clean brush, I'm just going toe, Marge, all these colors, we're going to keep everything really light, okay? And now going to take a bit of brown and then using a small brush, I'm switching to a small size brush to do some details. And I'm just goingto add these daunts to show the tech show in the most wrong. Okay, and now I'm going toe wait for the doctor version to dry before I had any more details. But in the meanwhile, we can pained the stem off the mushroom over here. Just what I do use the same two Carlos that we used earlier. The light here, Loker and light cream. I'm just going to leave a lot off white spaces in between. Let's have a closer look. Just leaving some white gaps in between cleaning my brush and then just slightly make single color, keeping most of it white. Okay, and then we're going to add a hint off locker, okay? And then with a clean brush, Dismore chip. So at this point, I'm not going to add details, because so finding details I want to add the mushroom is drying up, starting a hint of brown. Okay, so let's take a closer look. I'm going to add most of the details at the end, so right now it's going to look really flat a Don't fire you off it. That's being this ring in between. I'm just going to apply a layer of water. Okay, The most of that part is white. So I'm simply going to take some brown on my brush, okay? And then add some color from the outer edge off the two rings. I think so. And now let's start doing that. The details? No, I have a mix of brown pull my brush, just going to add some textual. - Just adding some markings on the surface. No, adding some details on the stem padding this head like texture on the neck off the mushrooms. Right soul. And that's it. So this is the white button mushroom.
13. White Button Mushroom: Part 2: we can to the next slice now. So the cut slices also white and Carlo going to start by blind a layer off water After the first mushroom dries up, we can always see how it looks and go back to it if we want to add any more details. But for now, I don't want to add too many details and overdo it because I usually have a tendency to not being satisfied in the beginning and then just keep on adding details on Do you know it's too late to realize that I should probably stop toe stop over doing it. So it's mired wise that when you start toe be in doubt, just stop spending that bees right every just shy away from it. Come back to it later and then decide if you want to still play around and at any more details. Okay, so I have my laid off water. You just waved your head a mix of flight grain with a hint of your local Do it just please it on the inches off the mushroom going to try and keep most of the part white just starting some color along the sites off the mushroom, keeping them agree. Abortion, white. Just going to try and keep more white Space Hill. So I have least Gallo on the top handle. Martin borders off the mushroom. There's the slight dealership potion that were drawn on Leo. I'm going to leave those two sections and being around it, Mr Slightly Dark Okelo, just like Ning it and similarly doing the other side also. Okay. And now we're going to switch to a spot the size brush and had a handoff. Rome along the ranges and let it bleed. I'm just going to Marsters round on the dog abortion. I went off brown. I think so. Not going to act, Emily. The only tears. Okay. And then I'm just going toe had some texture. So that kind of bleeds. Okay. And then the mature to shames. Let's try to bring them. I'm going to bring them a bit more, Doctor. It's okay for marches and the that's after slicing. You see that dark portion? - Okay , so that's the sliced mushroom. If needed, we can add some details later on, but for now I think it looks good enough. Let's move on to the next one. Let's start by a blind or layer off water on the third in voted mushroom. The process off painting this mushroom is going to be exactly the same. After applying the court off water evenly on the surface off the mushroom, we are going to drop in the same mix off light grey and yellow ocher. We will apply the condo on the center portion off the surface and also drop in some color from the edges off the mushroom. Remember to keep most of the space is white, and I'm just worked to add some kind of near the neck off the mushroom. It's just a very light wash off yellow, awkward and green. And then I'm just dropping in some brown condo on the round surface just to show the roundness off the mushroom, a little bit of Kano on the ages and a darker value off brown. There, the neck off the mushrooms where the stem starts. I'm just making these random brushstrokes to make the Harry small tech show like so, and I'm just moving my brush around to march all the colors evenly. I'm just adding some picture on the surface, just how we added for though first to mushrooms. Let's take a closer look. So not many details. It's still falling in place, but that's how we add all the layers. Now let's do the stem while the head portion is drawing, just painting the bottom cocked portion off the stand or the base off the mushroom, using a very night shoot off round. - Okay , let's take a closer look. I think the mushroom is coming to life as we add more details and more layers to it. And now let's work on the final details. A mad in some dense hair like extra around the neck off the mushroom because these mushrooms are really small toe pain. I'm trying my best that my hand does not come in the way, but I'm sure you're able to catch snippets off it on the side. I hope those images are helping you to paint along with me. Now I'm adding some tech show on the head portion off the mushroom, just making these random brush marks. Now let's go back to the first mushroom and add some more details around the neck portion. I'm just adding more invents extra around it. It is always a good idea to go back to your pieces after some time when you think that there's still some work to do around it. But like I said before, it's very important to stop at the right time before you overdo your picture or you're being thing. So now that I have finished all the three mushrooms, it gives me a fuller picture off, how they're looking in comparison to each other. And then I'm going back and adding the details, whatever, it isn't necessary, adding. My new details and finishing touches can really and hands the way you're painting looks. So don't forget to take one final look at your peas before you call. It's done, and I think I am good with the way these mushrooms are looking and I'm going to stop your So these are our white button mushrooms in three different positions. Let's move on to the next mushroom and see how we can paint it
14. Trumpet Royale Mushroom: Part 1: So the next mushroom that we're going to paint is the trumpet royal. It's slightly longer, and it has really small heads compared to the other mushrooms. The heads are or sepia brown in color, there more on the based inside off brown color. So let's try to get that she'd right for that, a mixing a bit of bond gumbo and agree on my palette. So that's one share that we're going to try and use. So I'm just mixing a Molly Brown like so a mix of muddy brown, and I'm also going to use a bit of sepia, slightly darko. Let's start by applying a court off water. I think the mushrooms that come or grow in the form of groups, it's always better to pain to ward three such mushrooms together. So I found that trumpet Royals usually grow in the group's, so that's the reason I have included two mushrooms that are tied to each other at the bottom. So wherever you see multiple mushrooms off same multiple mushrooms, so I found that they usually go together. Oh, and that's the reason that are some mushrooms in which I have added to Ward three. Um different, but I these off the same mushroom off course. This mushroom is not very dark in Carlo. It's quite light, but it does have a tinge of brown to it. I'm just adding brown at some certain portions and then just marching it all together. Okay, let's do without the one. I'm just going to keep it very light. Okay, so these are the mushroom heads. I really like the texture on this side off the mushroom and some picture on this site. And now let's do the stem. Now the stem off the trumpet royale mushroom is almost white, but we're going to add a tinge off beach color to it. So I'm starting by painting with layer off clean water. I don't want the heads to merge into the stems. I'm leaving a small gap and I'm going to fill up that cap Nieto. And then I'm just going to take oh, some white Hello And just placing it on the site of the mushroom and then I'm going to take make sure off green a very like make sure great And apply this on the sites. It may look a bit better or bake because off the white color, but I don't mind that look. It's starting a bit more off light gray and keeping more stuff it light and wide like So. Okay, so I'm just going toe ad a hint of brown on the stems from the sites, just letting it bleed into the gray color and use marching it all together. Just taking a DACA mix of cream Mr Cutting up in the Lane, right?
15. Trumpet Royale Mushroom: Part 2: Now let's work on the other stem. I am quickly going to apply a layer off water just like how we did for the earlier one. - So on the layer of water, I'm applying some yellow car and agree from the site. Just keeping it ready. Ready, light. This one, I feel, is the simplest of all. There's not much to do other than the intention off keeping this mushroom very light. So you just have to take care of that factor. It's looking slightly more later on the screen, as compared to what I see in real. So yes, the camera is making it at least 10% more later than what it is in real. Adding some brown color from the site and just belodeau head merging it all together, adding a dock over you near the bees. Okay, so now before I add the final texture on the body off the machine, I'm just quickly going toe pain. The base just adding a hint off agree and dark brown and letting it spread just like how we did for the earlier machines. In the last section off this class, you will see that I eventually added up oh, greenery around these mushrooms. But for now, um, I'm just keeping it, but yes, we are going to add some greenery at the end. So if you want, you could do it right now or add with me in the end. And now with the round one brush, I'm just going to add some texture on the mushroom heads, just making these really small dots on the surface using a dark brown color to draw the next show. - Okay , let's take a closer look. Looks much better off riding the picture Now. I saw that the Trump atrial mushroom has the statue on the stem just below the head. There are some lines or veins, as you may call it near the neck portion off the stem. So I'm just adding that tech show not going to go and too many details. But just an impression off how it looks. So we're tryingto are these unique dextrose and features for each of the mushrooms in a way that it's easy to identify the type off the mushroom. But we're not delving deep into the realistic aspect off it, and that's exactly how I have attempted to paint all the mushrooms in this class. If you think your mushroom is turning out to be quite light, you can use a shade darker to add the texture so it will instantly bring out the way your mushroom looks. So I probably go back to this one later and just darken the wings if needed. Probably the time, and I'm adding greenery around it. But for now, this is how we can paint an impression off the Trump Atrial Mushu, and now we will proceed on to being the next one.
16. Umbrella Mushroom: in this section, we are going to paint the umbrella mushroom and just like the trumpet Royale mushroom. This one also grows in groups. And like I said before, I could not really find the scientific name off this mushroom. But, um, you know, I came across a lot of mushrooms that had this umbrella kind of shape, and that's why we're going to call it umbrella mushroom, which also go together. I'm starting by placing a layer of water, as always on the top ocean off the machine gun. And on that layer off water, I'm just releasing a very light shade of orange from the top and the sites. The orange that I'm using is not very bold or striking, but it's just a nice shade somewhere between orange and golden yellow. So I'm just applying a layer off that, and then from the bottom edge off the mushroom head, I'm just releasing some brown Carlo and letting the two colors march. This mushroom is very simple to pain, and the matter that we are going to use is exactly the same. Like before, you're going to start with the weight surface off water and then drop in the Carlos we need and then blend everything together. So I'm going to paint the other two mushrooms in the exact same way, dropping a dark comics of orange from the side to create shadows and highlight. And in the end, we will add some texture on the heads off the mushroom. So after painting all the three heads, I will go and beamed the stems. I'm going to paint the stems and the inner side off the mushrooms, cream or Bijan Carlo, and after that I will proceed to paint the ground on which I will are the usual or wetter red texture, using agree brown and some shades in between and then at some greenery around the mushrooms . So the sequence of painting the mushrooms is exactly the same. I'm just going to let you paint along with me, and you can just follow along. Now let's being the told mushroom. I'm using the exact same method on the layer of water, dropping in some orange, some brown, bringing it all together by merging the colors and as the colors air drying. I see that the first mushroom is looking slightly pale, so I'm going to are some hints of color to it, as I've been told one. So when you mushrooms air drying, keep an eye on all of them to see if you want to add any more details before you call it a finish. So I'm just going back to the 1st 1 and adding a darker value of brown to lift the feeling texture off the mushroom. I'm just painting it simultaneously along with the toward mushroom. So it's a good idea to give one final look at everything and then just hired some finishing touches of necessary. Just more jing, some brown color on the edge. Let's take a closer look. I really like how the bleeds are turning out. The orange in the brown are bringing out a beautiful texture Together. I have mixed a light shed off Beijing and Rome, and I'm just going to paint the stems. And then they turned on at a hint of around from the sides. Now let's student inside portion off the mushroom. This mushroom is slightly addicted so we can see not in abortion. I'm just adding these Wayne's or lines that are coming from the center and emerging out. So just adding of a lose extra, which will be seen when the mushroom head tilts slightly. This using a DACA mix of round to work on this tech show and now going ahead and adding some greenery around it, using my size to round brush. I'm just going to add a few strands off grass and keep it very simple. This mushroom is very delicate, so I'm not going to add too many bushes or big leaves around it, but just thes fuse trends. Okay, now let's add some texture on the surface off the mushrooms. I'm just using a small size brunch and adding these dots along the surface. I'm using a dark comic so brown just a few off them, not too many keeping the size of the dots land even and wearing it. Okay, that's pretty much how the umbrella mushroom looks like. It's very delicate and small, and the picture is really bringing out the feel off the mushroom. Okay, so let's proceed and see what comes next
17. Chanterelle Mushroom: Part 1: in this section off the class we're going toe paint the chanterelle mushroom. Now this mushroom is one off the most unique ones that I came across. And, um, these air bright yellow in color, somewhere between grow me a lot of golden yellow. The entire mushroom is yellow that I know other shades like brown or grey or green that are involved in this mushroom. So we're going to need a lot of shades Sofia blue and yellow ocher. If you can't see the exact sketch that I'm trying to paint, I would request you to go in the sketching section off this class and which you will be able to see all the pencil lines. Clearly, I just raised the pencil lines just to make sure that they're not seen through. So you can have a look at the original sketch in the earlier sketching section. I'm going to start by painting the top oval shape after mushroom by applying a layer off water and then embers easing one minute yellow deep from the sites off this over shape. And once the color starts bleeding, I'm going to drop in some joker around the ring off the open and then watch it all together . There is a slight dip in the same proportion. So we're going toe ad those details in the end, as off now, I'm keeping the center very light and darko values around the edges. Just using two condos right now for military duty on your local. I've been watching it all together. Similarly, I'm going to go ahead and paint the other chanterelle mushroom, which is slightly smaller than the 1st 1 So just painting both the mushrooms simultaneously , dropping a hint off yellow from the sites, keeping the center portion light, adding some here local from the sides. Okay, while the color is right, you can still live Tokelo from a particular place if you think that it's turned out to dark , making sure to leave a white highlight in the center off both the mushrooms. Now a mixing some roll number on my planet and adding a hint of brown from the out the most Bordeaux. I'm using a size six wrong brush, which has a beautiful point, so it allows me to do some detail work as well. - Okay , now, mind the mushroom heads are drying up. We've been forced. Go ahead and paint the ground level or the soil and then come back to the stems off the mushrooms, just applying a layer off water and then just dropping in. Ah, fresh shade of green. I think the green and yellow will look really nice together, so I'm just going toe ag. Lots of green condo around these mushrooms just marching the color. I'm not going to play with those natural bleeds too much because I really like that effect of grass. So just going do let it be after I drop in the condo dropping in some brown. Okay, so now let's go back and paint the two stems. What the stems. I'm just directly applying some Portman jello deep from the left hand side off the stems and then just using water, I'm going to spread the color around, just keeping a lighter value on the right hand side, riding some yellow ocher. Basically, we're going to paint the stems in the exact same way, like how we did the oval Dobbs. Similarly, I'm going to paint the other mushroom. If your sketches are ready, these mushrooms won't take more than 10 to 12 minutes off each. Do pain. So it's quite a quick process if you know how the mushroom looks like and what condos you're supposed to use. So once on that research old study is done, painting mushrooms can really be fun. And that's exactly what I wanted to achieve in this class is to let you enjoy the process off sketching and painting the mushrooms and not waste your time and researching about it.
18. Chanterelle Mushroom: Part 2: Now let's work on the sent abortion to add a dip in the centre. I'm just using on nine a called line that I'm drawing in the center, using a light shade of brown and just marching it slightly, marching it out with the edges and that instantly creates are feeling off dead in the center because of the white highlight that we left in the beginning, just adding a darko value on the lower side off the court and then merging it. I'm making sure that I don't touch the white highlight in the center. Okay, similarly, let's draw assented it for the other mushroom, drawing a small court and then watching it. - I'm just slightly extending the court on the sides to enhance the with the dip looks, mixing some more brown, and then using my size to round brush, I'm going to add some detail work now. Okay, now the Shandra and mushrooms have thes Wayne's that are right below the head potion. So on the broader part off the stems, there are these lines on Wayne's that already tense and close to each other. So I'm just going to draw these lines and kind off, get them all together as they start coming down again. They're trying to make an impression off how this mushroom looks, so don't delve deeper into seeing how the winds look and how the lines floor. But just try toe effortlessly. And we did how the real mushroom looks. So I'm just trying to evoke ah, feeling off how the shot drill mushroom looks like by drawing these brown wings, which I think are one off the highlights off the way this mushroom looks darkening some off the lights, making them dense around the broader bush in off the stem. Similarly, let's add some nights on the other mushroom, - going back to the 1st 1 and working on some extra, just adding a darker value off your Yorker right below the head portion to show the shadow effect. Let's take a closer look. Let's go ahead and on some greenery around the mushrooms, just going to add a couple of stems and twigs and grass leasing a few strands around the do mushrooms and a couple of them in between. - All right, I think we're done adding all the green elements around it, and if needed, I will come back to it later to add more texture or any other details. But for now I'm going to call it complete. Let's take a closer look. The This is the Shangri Mushroom and now let's proceed further and being the next one.
19. Mycena Mushroom: in this section, we are going to paint the my scene a mushroom. My senior mushrooms are rarely more than a few centimetres in birds. They're characterized by small, conical or been shaped cat and a very 10 fragile stem. Most of them are gray or brown, but a few species have brighter condos. The color of chosen is a beautiful crimson maroon ish Cano. So let's start painting it by first applying a layer of water. And now I'm going to drop in the color from the stop off the mushroom. The exact year that I'm using as NAFTA might maroon from Daniel Smith, and I'm just hurting my paper so the color starts to run down, and then I'm just going to spread it lightly on the sites off the machine and then with a clean brush. I'm just going toe, spread the candle and pull the color downward, just marching it all together to have a nice, greedy int. And no, I'm applying. Ah, very 10 crooked, not so perfect border on the bottom edge of the mushroom and letting the color bleed into the white portion or the water surface, adding some more color on the top and just softly merging all the color using the tip of my branch. I want these mushrooms to look really soft and airy, just making the bottom edge prominent by applying secondly, to the edge. Let's move on to the next motion. We are going to paint it in the exact same bree a layer of water followed by dropping off the color from door and then merging it little bit on the side and darkening the bottom edge. So let's go ahead and finish both the mushroom heads. Okay, so our mushroom heads already, let's take a closer look. Now I'm going to let the mushroom heads dry before we add the finding extra on the surface . And now I'm proceeding to paint the fragile and the thin stems. I'm going to use the same maroon condo. Just a doctor makes off the same kind of, and I'm going toe pained the stems all the three stems using this color with a clean brush . I'm just trying toe. Add a lighter value on the right hand side, just merging the condo into the white portion. You can lift off the excess color with a clean, damp brush, citing some darko value from the sites again. Give it some nice texture. Oando. Similarly, let's paint stems for the other two mushrooms. - All right, so we have finished the first part off painting these my cinemas rooms. Now let's paint the soil underneath just a hint of being alone exactly like how we did for the rest of the mushrooms. So no secrets there. And now I'm going to act some green elements around the mushrooms. - Okay , so that's for the green bushes. And now let's go ahead and paint the extra on the surface off the mushrooms. Now I'm going to draw very 10 lines, which are all coming together towards the tape, or you can say the emerging out from the dip towards the edge. So I'm just going to draw or being to thes called lines. Using a small size brush, I'm using a size one. Similarly, l pained these lines on the other two mushrooms, and you will see that the mushroom instantly starts to look extra order. And I really like the final look off this mushroom. I think it's got to do with the bell, she, which looks very pretty and adorable now. Why drawing thes golf lines and making sure that some lines are 10 and some lines are take to give it a natural look. And that said, our my seen a mushroom is now ready. Let's go ahead and paint the oyster mushroom now, so I will see you in the next section.
20. Oyster Mushroom: in this section, we are going to paint oyster mushrooms. Oyster mushrooms have a broad fan or oyster shaped cap, which is quite broad. Nice to mushrooms. Range from white, gray or tan to dark brown and the lower stem like part isb age or cream in color with a stripe tech show all over it. So let's try to paint this mushroom and see how we can interpreted. I. Still mushrooms also grow in groups, and that is the reason why I have drawn a couple of them stacked together. And first we're going to paint the broad caps or the fan shaped shapes on the dog. I'm going to start by applying a layer of water and then apply a darker mix off raw number and black and just more jered nicely. It's a very simple and easy masoum. There's not much to it, so I'm going to keep it very simple. Just march the brown little bit using a soft, damp brush so the caps are slightly darko comfort to those stems. I'm just trying to usar color, which is between 10 and dark brown, and this is the closest I could get when I saw pictures of oysterman shoe. Similarly, I'm going to paint the remaining stop motion off the other mushrooms. I'm going to paint it in the exact same way, like the 1st 1 Okay, so now I'm going Toe makes a darker value, some raw amber and black. I'm just going to make this value darker than the previous one and just drop in Carlo from the edges. And while the color is still wet, it's going to slightly plead into the first layer. Let's take a closer look. Okay, so now let's go ahead and paint the stems off the mushrooms. I have mixed a nice beach color on my palette, a very light cream color, and I'm simply going toe applied from the sides off the stems off each of the mushrooms and then just mortgage it with water. I'm also leaving some white spaces in between to add lighter values on the surface and then with a clean brush. I just more shit very lightly. Similarly, I'll go ahead and paint all the other stems using the same page or cream color. I think by sketching this mushroom, we have already captured a sense of how this kind of mushroom looks, so I'm not going to stress too much while painting it. I'm just going to keep it very simple. Just given impression off how the oyster mushroom looks like and just adding some really easy details. Not going to fret too much about the texture, but just go with the flow and make an impression off oyster mushrooms. I added a little bit off brown from the size and just merging it all together. Let's finish the other mushrooms as well. - And the last one. I saw a lot of pictures off oyster mushrooms in which they were mostly, um, seen in this cascaded or stacked for mission. And that's why I thought of sketching the oyster mushrooms in this way. Okay, so that's pretty much our forced layer. And now let's wait for this to dry before we can add the X show on the stems. Okay, so now, using a small size round brush, I am going to draw The wings are the line tech show on the stems. I'm using a size one round brush, and I'm going to keep wearing with off the lines, just drawing or painting these not so perfect lines on the surface. Similarly, let's do it for the other mushrooms as well. Okay, so we have finished drawing their texture on all the mushrooms, and I'm just going to makes a slightly darko value and add some thicker lines, placing them randomly on the surface. Okay, so now let's move on and do the soil or the grass underneath a machine, using a bit off gray and green, pained the ground surface and then just adding some wild grass and weeds around it. - Let's take a closer look. That's pretty much about the oyster mushrooms.
21. Quick Finishing Touches: Let's go ahead and in some finishing touches for the other mushrooms. So I'm going to start with the trumpet royal on the top, and I feel it's looking quite barren. So I'm going toe ad a couple off green leaves around it. If you remember, we had decided to do the final touch ups later on. I was just not sure off, you know whether I should leave this mushroom as it is with without any background or wishes around it. But now, when I think again, I think the greenery element is really helping the mushroom pop out. So I'm just going to add a couple off stems around it. Okay, I think it looks much better now. It does not look barren and dry. I'm mixing Sadako grown and green and then just adding some extra on the soil, just to give it a nice effect in the end night. So similarly adding some next show to the soil 40 umbrella mature. Just taking one final look at all the mushrooms and just thinking if I need to add anything to enhance the with love, adding some techs shown the grass underneath the chanter in mushroom as well. Okay, that's it
