Announcing a two-week Photography workshop on Skillshare from April 16th-30th, exclusively for Annual Members!

Looking to get more out of your camera? Master your DSLR through a two-week photography workshop coming soon on Skillshare. With a schedule of hand-picked classes featuring NYC photographer and Skillshare teacher Justin Bridges, along with reminders to keep you on track, you’ll learn the essentials of DSLR photography and create your own photos to share with the community. In just two weeks, you’ll take control of your camera settings and start creating the pro-level photos you’ve always imagined.

What You’ll Learn

• We’ll kick off the workshop with Justin's popular class on the fundamentals of DSLR photography. With easy-to-follow lessons and tactical tips, Justin will demystify your DSLR and teach you how to manually balance shutter speed, aperture, and ISO to achieve perfect exposure.
• From there, we’ll take it a step further with a follow-up class from Justin coming to Skillshare this April on the basics of using lenses. You’ll learn the ins and outs of focal length and depth of field to improve your decisions and create even better photos.
• Next, we’ll dive into a third class on using natural light to add drama to your photos. You’ll learn how to prep your location, subject and settings to develop your skills in composition, exposure, and styling.
• Finally, you’ll head out into your own city or grab a friend to put your new skills into practice and share back your work with the community!

How it Works

• This workshop takes place online and runs from April 16th through April 30th.
• Throughout the workshop, Skillshare will send you email reminders to keep you on track and let you know what step to complete next.
• Share the photos you create throughout the workshop in a special project gallery. Give and get feedback from others to accelerate your progress!
• Upload your work by April 30th, and you’ll be entered to win a photo prize package valued at $500!

How to Join

• This workshop is available exclusively for Skillshare annual Members with active membership accounts, at no additional charge.
• Sign-up begins on April 16th - the start date of the workshop. We’ll be emailing all Annual Members on April 16th at 9am EST with a special link to sign up and get started in the workshop.
