Recreate your favorite fashion scenes with Katie Rodgers, the artist behind the colorful and whimsical pieces from Paper Fashion. Rodgers began painting in watercolors at the age of seven and has turned her love for fashion illustration into a full-time career. The fashion illustrator has been commissioned by the likes of Cartier, Swarovski, Clé de Peau, Jaeger LeCoultre, Coach, Alicia Keys, Saks Fifth Avenue, L'Oreal Paris, Lacoste, Target, and Elle Magazine among others.
In her new class, Paper Fashion: Telling a Story through Fashion Illustration, Rodgers will take you through the process of illustrating fashion figures within a scene. The fashion illustrator pro will cover concepts like how to find inspiration, sketching the background, and setting/coloring your illustration piece. For the final project, students will create a fashionable composition of figures within a scene.
