So you have a little bit of time on your hands, and you’re looking to laugh until you cry—where should you start? Obviously, the answer is with YouTube funny videos, for the simple reasons that they’re A. absolutely hilarious and B. free. 

As a comedian myself, I continue to be as baffled as I am appreciative of all the creators of funny YouTube videos who pour their blood, sweat, and tears into making my day for just the love of the game. (And presumably some ad revenue.) 

But I’m not here to look a gift horse in the mouth. Like you, I’m here to submerge myself in a steaming tub of funny videos on YouTube, whether they’re people falling down, newscasters cracking up, professional comedians being hilarious, or that old reliable: YouTube funny cat videos.

No matter what you’re jonesing for, here are the best funny videos YouTube has to offer. 

Obviously the top-ranked choice is going to range widely from person to person—not to mention change over time. And real talk? Videos get added and taken down all the time, so there’s no guarantee your fave will be up forever. It’s part of the magic of the whole thing.

But a lot of these have been my favorites since day one, and I can’t wait to share them with all of you. I’ll be honest—a whole lot of them are going to be bloopers and live TV accidents, because those are what I personally live for. But if you don’t like them, I won’t be offended. It’s just a matter of learning how to find funny videos on YouTube that please you. Humor is subjective, after all.

If I could snap my fingers and suddenly know how to make funny YouTube videos to amuse my own self, I would obviously do it. But for the moment, these are the ones that get me every time. 

Someone give this family one million dollars, because their comedic timing could not be more perfect. The first daughter marching in all proud of herself? The baby on wheels? This video should always be your answer to the question, “What are some super funny YouTube videos?”

You know that thing where you’re stomping grapes and you fall, but you’re still mic-ed up, so everyone hears your guttural wails of pain? Grape Lady does.

The hard tone change as everyone starts to realize what was actually going on in that Home Depot bathroom is complete gold. But the fact that he keeps presenting the news even though he cannot stop laughing is platinum.

If there was a course on how to be funny in YouTube videos, this would be the shining example. The only thing funnier than the comical fart that dog squeaked out is the fact that it instantly made the cat vomit. We don’t deserve animals.

I miss Vine every day, and this video is exactly why. (It’s also why you don’t walk up and scare people who are doing the dishes.)

All I have to say is that we need to protect this couple at all costs.

Graham Norton is another Brit who consistently delights, and he’s rewarded with completely bonkers situations happening on his show. Like that time Chris O’Dowd chewed the biggest fly Kristen Wiig had ever seen.

This may have been my first ever favorite funny YouTube video. Will it be everyone’s cup of tea? Absolutely not. But for some reason, all the little sounds dubbed into this already bizarre scene tickles me right in the funny bone.

I don’t even watch Seinfeld—I know, you can yell at me later—but Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s laugh is pure joy, I’m addicted.

Best known for the series Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, the channel has plenty of other hilarious content as well.

In case you don’t catch the full show, you always have the opportunity to watch your favorite sketches the next day. Although good luck ever topping Kate McKinnon as the woman who ruined the portrait of Jesus.
