Your class project is to take one of your old artworks and paint over it in Photoshop! (Or another digital painting program.)

This class assumes a basic working knowledge of Photoshop. If you don't have that yet, you can pick it up in a little over a half hour in Photoshop Demystified: A Beginner's Guide to Digital Painting. :)

Old Drawing

For this class you'll need a piece of art you've made in the past. I'll be using one of my past portraits. But feel free to use a still life or figure drawing too if you wish. If you don't have anything, make something in this class or this one, and then join in here! :)

Tablet and Pen

I love Wacom tablets, but there are many great tablets on the market. Here are some of my Wacom recommendations:

Good Beginner Tablet: Intuos Draw

Great Trusty Tablet (I've been using it for years): Intuos 3

The upgrade: Wacom Intuos Pro

(If you're serious about digital painting, get the bigger tablet. It's easier to draw with it. But the Intuos Draw is great if you're just starting out!) :)
