I added a couple of curve layers to Vianney's photo to bring out more detail in the central mountain peak which seems to be the focus of the image.

This is the curve I used for the central peak. The mask is shown as well.

I then added another curve layer using a slight 'S' curve to increase the overall intensity and contrast. Remember, I'm not using the original files so I'm very limited as to how much can be modified. Even so, you can see quite a difference. Again, really nice shot and composition.

For the darker photo I added a curve layer to open up the dark areas to bring out some detail. You can see the effect pretty dramatically in the sky. Again, using the original files will enable much greater results.
