Hi Niya,Thanks for sharing these photos, I really enjoyed looking at your project!  Just wanted to give you some feedback -1st Photo:  I really love how you use the shadows as part of the composition.  The shapes of the shadows are so beautiful and it really adds an artistic element.  Also, the diagonal line of the man's shadow draws us into the image and straight to the reaction/expressions of the crowd.2:  You captured a cool moment in the performace, but I would like to see the subject pop out a bit more from the background - maybe try getting closer and shooting with a shallower depth of field?3.  This photo really made me stop and look at the details.  It's interesting, for me, because I think about how everyone is performing the same action but they all look different while doing it.  In a crowded city, it's easy to lose sight of people as individuals.  This photo makes me reflect on how everyone is different, even in the slightest action or movement.  I also like the blur of the person on the right moving into the frame - it would be fun to experiment with a little longer exposure to capture even more blur.4.  I like the direction you are heading here - geometric / architectural shots are my favorite!  These types of photos are most effective when all of the lines are straight - seems like you should be standing just a few more steps to the left to make sure that you are photographing the scene straight on.  I'd also be interested to see this photo in B&amp;W.5.  This is a really great capture!  The light is beautiful and the man has an interesting stance and expression on this face.  I also like how you can faintly see the words in the background - it provides us with a sense of place and time.6.  This is another interesting subject and moment.  The contrast between the man's appearance/clothing and the contemporary American city is what really makes me stop and linger on this image.  I'd really like to see more of the background environment - maybe a horizontal frame shifted a bit up and to the right?7.  Another awesome 'people' shot.  The statues provide an interesting point of contrast to the women's faces.8.  This is a good documentary/slice of life shot showing everyday life on the streets9.  The smoke around the man's face is great.  I also find the reflection really interesting.  I'd love to see this shot closer to fill most of the frame with the smoke and reflection - I think it could be a cool, surreal image.10.  Good scouting of your scene here - I'd just get a bit closer and wait for some action.  You are on your way, though!11.  I have the same advice for this shot as for the 4th image - try for more symmetry in the geometric/architectual shots.  Here, I would stand directly in the center of the sidewalk.  Would also be cool in black and white..12.  Love the graffiti!  Would be even more awesome if you had caught someone going up or down the stairs - possibly a long enough exposure to get some motion blur?All in all, amazing work!  Can't believe it's your first experience with street photography.  I think your people shots are the strongest, and it also seems like you are quite comfortable photographing strangers on the street.  Have you heard of the Humans of New York project?  It might be good inspiration for you -<a class="url" href="http://www.humansofnewyork.com/" rel="external nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.humansofnewyork.com/</a>Hope this helps a bit, excited to see what else you come up with!xKait

This is the first time I have ever tried street photography. I was a little apprehensive about taking photos of people and things on the street. My goal was to try and translate my view of the city into a series of pictures. There were street performers on the corner doing some incredible moves.This is one of my favorite shots.
