I'm starting to see how the figure emerges from gesture lines and oval shapes.

I'm going 'great guns' with this figure drawing course.  It has become simple to draw then scan the drawings for posting.  Really enjoying doing these assignments.

I decided to do these using a Strathmore 5.5 in x 8.5 in sketchpad.  I then scanned each page, rather than take a snapshot of them.  That's why the images appear so washed out. My AT&T goPhone camera shows images but won't appear onscreen, when i connect the phone to my Mac Pro tower.
