Dilly Green Beans, Of Course! - student project

I got green and yellow green beans from a local farm, but if I had been doing the project later in the season, the beans would have been from my own garden. I got a huge bouquet of dill from the Saturday Farmers' Market.

It's always a challenge to get the beans packed into the jars tightly. Maybe one year I will try keeping them full length and carefully lining them up in the jar. Of course I am using the recipe published for class, but I also enjoy making pickled beets and pickle relish.

Finished product coming out of the canner. Now to let them cool and listen for the jars to seal.
