OK, so here is the ruby outline with the resist. I'm quite happy with it: <img src="https://static.skillshare.com/uploads/parentClasses/6939eda804cdc915bb01fab05f835847/595363ea" alt="595363ea" /> Here I was playing with the various red watercolours I have. Most feel too pink. <img src="https://static.skillshare.com/uploads/parentClasses/6939eda804cdc915bb01fab05f835847/fe7e681e" alt="fe7e681e" /> The blotch above the black one is Crimson and I'll likely go with it. For the darker sections I mix in black, and for the brighter sections, they look sort of orange so that's what I'd mix with Crimson? Guess I just have to try... Jane

I can't even believe I painted these! I already have plans for where I'm going to hang them. Someone challenged me to make one with reds - the rubies came to mind but I'm not quite sure where to start.

I used the image you had linked as inspiration and am so happy with how it turned out! I still can't believe I painted it. I never quite know when to stop - would you have added anything more? Thank you!&nbsp;
