For your class project, you will draw a realistic face portrait!

Why is that? Some beginners are afraid to draw face portraits because they think it’s too difficult. The truth is that it isn’t! And I believe you will feel more confident about your drawing skills and feel inspired to draw more, once you’ve completed this project.

During the project you must cover the following points:

Print the reference picture that I provide;
Use an A4 sized paper;
Outline using the grid technique;
Apply dark tones;
Create blended transitions between shadow and light;
Draw hair and eyebrows;
Cover large areas;
Apply textures and light spots;
Apply finishing touches.
