About Me

Hi! My name is Ridhi Rajpal, and I'm a film-maker and a multi-disciplinary artist from India. I am the Owner of my creative brand TheColorBirdie, via which I create original paintings, surface pattern designs and handmade home decor items. I'm also a Certified Zentangle Teacher & a Certified Russian Sculpture Painting Artist.

My acrylic pour paintings is what made me a professional artist. I started posting pictures of my painting on Instagram, and the next thing I knew, I was selling a dozen of these every month, all while managing busy shooting schedules for the films and TV commercials I was working on. I always knew that I am going to end up pursuing a career in film and art, both, but never did I imagine that it would fast-track all because of my acrylic pour paintings! :) Needless to say, even though I have expanded my portfolio and services so much over the years offering a variety of art and design services, acrylic pouring will always have a soft corner in my heart! :)
