Sketch your own still life!

There are a few ways to follow along and improve your composition skills during this class.

If you just want to sketch along with Lisk, you can find the image she is drawing from in the class resources. You’re invited to draw your own version with whatever materials you prefer, practicing your rendering skills and adjusting the composition as you see fit to make a final image you’re excited about.

If you want to take your composition practice a step further, find some objects that you’d like to draw from around your home and arrange them into your own still life scene. Try different arrangements and angles, taking photographs to quickly compare different compositions and decide what works best. Then, pick one to sketch into your final masterpiece.

Whatever you create, we’d love to see your work in the project gallery. Share your final sketch, your photographs of different composition experiments, or anything you learned along the way.
