What will students do for the class project?

You can start your own podcast! Think of your favorite people who you would absolutely love to interview based on what your passions are and invite them to be guests on your show.

I would love to see students making and sharing their podcasts, so please upload your work in progress! That way, we can all follow your exciting podcasting adventure. We can also give you encouragement and important feedback.

Project Deliverables:

20 sec promotional trailer that explains what your podcast is about
20 min interview with a guest of your choice - you will have to upload it online so we can all listen to it and give feedback

Some ideas for interview content might be be:

An individual you admire
A field expert
A thought leader
Someone interesting you connect with via social media who you think would make for exciting conversation (obviously mention your skillshare class please!)
Someone who has an interesting tale to tale
Actors, musicians, or artists talking about their latest work.
Popular or knowledgeable bloggers
Strong community influences
Anyone looking to promote a book, website, app, business, etc.
Sports stars
Celebrities

Additional ideas:

Create a comedy / short story
Produce your own drama like a murder mystery or soap opera
If you're into mountain biking, then do a podcast on mountain biking
If you want to do a podcast on relationships, productivity, calligraphy, or diabetes (it could be anything!), then please do it

You don’t have to be the expert because you will be interviewing the experts. You just have to show some passion about your topic.
