This is a protest campaign regarding the ongoing online trend of utopian, cute, positive, feel good aesthetics in flat styles

As pleasant and inspirational this trend could be for the teenager demographic, I always gravitated towards the provocation as a way of being inspired and create a spark in the brain.

Concept: Provocation/contra-culture

Idea: Negativism via vintage lettering

Vintage lettering is has been one of vehicle for all these self-help statements. In order to create jarring or at least discomfort the colours are saturated.

In order to push back from flatness of colour and stylisation, over decorated lettering and ornaments have been applied to the negative message.
