Module Number 2

This module is all about how to open a document and the options you have to save a document. However you may download the project files that I use to create the simple edit in this module if you are feeling adventurous and have a go. Purely optional.

Module Number 3

In This module I would like you to create the tabletop image and position all the items on individual layers
You should complete the following:

Open multiple documents
Drag or duplicate layers between documents
Name Layers
Change the order of layers
Group Layers
Link Layers
Save finished design as a JPEG

Module Number 4

In this Module I would like you to apply a layer mask to the black and white image to reveal the colour in the layer below in selected areas as demonstrated.
You should complete the following:

Open both black & white and colour documents
Drag or duplicate the black and white document above the colour document
Apply a layer mask to the black & white layer
Use the mask to reveal the items on the table
Add an adjustment layer
Apply a layer mask to the adjustment layer and lighten the background
Save completed edit as a JPEG

Module Number 5

In this module you will use the selection tools to make selections and create new layers. Also use the select object and content aware fill to remove the gun and the path tool to select and copy the Superman badge to place on the brick wall document.
You should complete the following:

Use the rectangular marquee tool to make a selection
Use the elliptical marquee tool to make a selection
Use the polygonal lasso tool to make a selection
Use the object selection tool
Remove the gun with content-aware fill
Use the pen tool to create a path
Select and copy the Superman badge and place on brick background

Module Number 6

In this module you will use select and mask to replace the background in two separate images. Try the skull design first and then move on to the model photograph.
You should complete the following:

Use the select object tool
Use the select and mask option and refine the selections
Replace the background in both examples
Optionally add text to the skull image
Use adjustment layers as shown in the tutorial

Module Number 7

In this module you will use the transform tools to reshape various items in the image. Have some fun and try out all the different adjustments you can achieve.

Transform and use distort
Transform and use warp
Transform and rotate
Transform using puppet warp

Module Number 8

In this module you will use adjustment layers to change the look of two photographs. Follow along and perhaps choose alternative adjustment layers to create something different.
You should complete the following:

Apply adjustment layers to two photographs
Try different LUT adjustment layers
Vary adjustments and experiment
Use a layer mask for selective edits
Create a stamp layer
Apply film grain using the camera raw filter

Module Number 9

This module is all about the 'blend if' option - an awesome way to selectively blend layers together.
You should complete the following:

Optionally use the pen tool to select the robot or use file provided
Use blend if to apply rust to the robot
Use blend if to reveal flames where required

Module Number 10

Open up both the RAW file and JPEG files and discover the power of the camera RAW filter. Follow the suggestions in the tutorial or go on to create your own edit.
You should complete the following:

Open the RAW(DNG) files and use the camera RAW window to create an edit
Open the JPEG image and select the camera RAW filter
Compare the edits made to the RAW and JPEG files

Module Number 11

Changing colours is pretty simple to achieve using a hue saturation adjustment layer. Changing to a specific colour is more of a challenge. Try changing the Lamborghini to the colour of your choice.
You should complete the following:

Change the colour of the Lamborghini using a hue saturation adjustment layer
Change the car colour to the specific green colour
Use a layer mask to adjust the colour of the driver
Perhaps change to a colour of your choice

Module Number 12

Download the project files and use the suggested methods to remove unwanted items from the photographs. It really is like being a magician.

Module Number 14

Fun with the blur filter. In this module you will create depth and movement by using various blur filters. It is a little tricky so strap yourself in for a bumpy ride.
You should complete the following:

Create the illusion of movement using motion and spin blur
Add depth of field using the tilt shift blur
Use the path blur to adjust the speed of movement

Module Number 15

Cropping and resizing is a fundamental part of Photoshop and can really help to improve your composition as well as allowing you to resize for social media etc.
You should complete the following:

Use the crop tool to resize an image
Use the crop tool to extend and add more information
Use image - 'image size' and canvas size to resize and add a border

Module Number 16

Adding text is relatively simple but what about adding text effects? or adding text on a curved path? creating logos...etc This module dives deep into how to achieve fabulous text based work.
You should complete the following:

Understand the character and paragraph boxes
Add text choosing a font - font size - leading etc.
Apply a clipping mask to your text
Type text on a path
Create a logo design
Complete a magazine cover

Skin retouching, face sculpting and overall enhancement of a portrait is covered in this module. Edit this beautiful photo of Sophie and maybe apply your own editing style.

Skin smoothing using frequency separation
Enhance eyes and add detail
Shape the face using an adjustment layer
Adjust and change the colour of the lips

Module Number 18

Using the completed edit from the previous module you will make a selection of Sophie to allow you to replace the background. You will also learn how to add additional hair with a brush....no pun intended.
You should complete the following:

Use the select subject feature to select Sophie
Use select and mask to refine the selection
Add in the new background
Download and install the custom hair brushes
Paint in additional hair where needed
