My names is Becky and I a professional Hand Embroiderer, Tutor, Conservator/Restorer. I spent three years completing the Royal School of Needlework's Future Tutor Programme, graduating in 2015.

I grew up in the UK on the Hampshire / Surrey border where I spent most of my childhood indulging in Cross Stitch, which became my first experience (and for a long time my only experience) of hand embroidery. I am no longer updating my course to this site, viewed minutes have been deleted from my running total by staff with no explanation. This hobby followed me through my education and into working life as a form of stress relief and an outlet for creativity. I worked for many years in Administration for various companies in different departments, unwittingly learning a variety of skills that would be necessary for freelance work.

I joined the Future Tutor Programme in 2012 and after three very intensive years studying different aspects of hand embroidery I graduated with Distinction. I have been working freelance ever since. The last few years have been exciting and challenging in equal measure. In March 2020 I published my first book on Crewelwork.
