Über diesen Kurs
Are you an Administrator or a developer new to Oracle Database? This course is the perfect starting point. Designed specifically for beginners, you'll learn what Oracle is, how to install and use Oracle XE, and how to write and run SQL queries using Oracle SQL Developer. We’ll cover key concepts like users, schemas, data types, tables, constraints, relationships, joins, views, aggregate functions, indexes, transactions, triggers, and more. You’ll even practice inserting and querying dates and working with real-world examples. No prior experience with Oracle is required—just basic programming or database knowledge. By the end of this course, you’ll feel confident using Oracle as a developer and ready to dive deeper into PL/SQL or advanced topics.

Hey! I'm Soren, a Database Administrator by day, and a passionate teacher by night (and sometimes by day too, because who needs sleep when there are databases to explore?). With six years of wrangling data under my belt, I've learned that databases, much like houseplants, thrive on a little bit of structure, a lot of care, and the occasional debugging when things get... well, tangled.
When I'm not knee-deep in SQL queries or making peace with Oracle (yes, even databases have moods), you'll find me sharing my love for all things data with anyone willing to listen--or at least pretend to. My mission? To make the mysterious world of Database Technology as clear as a well-executed SELECT statement.
I'm here to demystify, de-stress, and (hopefully) delight you with the wonders of d... Vollständiges Profil ansehen
Praxisnahes Kursprojekt
This hands-on project helps you practice creating tables, using constraints, inserting and updating data, writing queries, working with views, indexes, and even triggers. You’ll build a basic product management system for a fictional shop and perform various operations on it.
This project is optional, but I strongly recommend giving it a try. It’s a great way to test your understanding and gain real-world practice.
Once you’re done, send me your solutions and I'll check it and send you a review on it.
