About This Class

In this class we will explore what the phrase 'stream of consciousness' means in terms of literature and creativity. Then, we will write and apply this technique to three different topics. You are allowed to your own topics, if you want.

Fantastic job to the instructor! The presentation gave historical background on the topic of stream of consciousness. As with all education and self development, the instructor is really only supposed to provide a guideline and examples for the student to be inspired to do personal research and practice on their own time, which I felt she did effectively with the references to literature as well as psychology. This allowed for a deeper perspective on this form of writing instead of if the instructor had just given us literary examples alone. Great job overall! Really felt it helped me get out of my writing slump and will be posting one of my pieces within the coming days. Hope this review helped anyone interested in the class! :D
Clear. Direct and to the point. Examples are relevant and historical. Enjoyable presentation and informative.
Very compelling and inspiring class. I would recommend this to anyone with a taste for psychology just as much as they have a taste for writing, experimental writing, writing with constraint(s), and of course, stream of consciousness, which is a complex constraint in its own right, as well as a window to the potentiality of language.

Hello! My name is Ana and I love art. I have been drawing and painting for over 7 years. I have worked as a full-time designer (and writer) for 3 years, but as of September 2016 returned to school to pursue my Master's degree. In order to stay involved in the design and arts world, I aim to regularly post classes on SkillShare and help fellow designers and artists in any way possible.
