Hosting a simple website doesn't have to be hard or expensive.  In this class, we'll cover:

- A brief overview of cloud computing and Amazon's unique micro, 'pay as you go' pricing.

- How to create an AWS account and use the 'Free Tier' for one full year.

- A hands on example where you'll setup a simple, static website using the Simple Storage Service (S3), and share it with the world, for free.

- How to create and edit basic HTML files using free software and upload them to your web site.

- BONUS: Have a domain?  Learn how to create a sub-domain and point it to your new S3 website to make it easy for others to find.

This was an excellent and very professional presentation. I am a complete novice in this arena and you made me feel very comfortable navigating through the entire process. Well done!

Technologist, Teacher, Entrepreneur

I am a husband, a father, an entrepreneur, a technologist, a baker and a voracious learner. I am the co-founder of an online retailer of gourmet cookies and brownies serving customers throughout the United States and military bases around the world.

In addition to founding companies in the software, ecommerce, food, and furniture spaces, my corporate experience ranges from large Fortune companies to dot-com era (boom and bust) startups.  In addition to the gourmet baking business, I’m currently working on software solution to enhance Google Hangouts using Wordpress, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Mulesoft.  I’ve documented everything along the way and am creating online courses for InsideTheCloud.com.

I enjoy giving back to the community and sharing what I’ve learned with other entrepreneurs.  When I’m not in the kitchen or in front of a screen, you’ll find me puttering around the house or tinkering in the garage, usually looking for a project that involves something I’ve never done before.
