A Beginner's Guide to Creating a Simple Header and Adding it to Your WordPress Website is actually the 5th part of the Writer Platform series, which is aimed at Authors, Creatives & Other Content Creators, who are looking to build an online presence, in order to sell more books and/or other digital products.

In this particular class, you will learn:

  • How to Create a Simple Header for your Website
  • How to Add the Header to a WordPress Website

The class is an important part of the Writer Platform series (see a full list of the classes below), which follows the creation of an author website from scratch.

Please note that the design application used in this class is Pixelmator, but this simple technique can also be achieved in Photoshop or even in a free graphics editor.

Meanwhile, the premium theme used for the Slovakia - Heart of Europe website is the Thesis Framework, but again the principles used in the class can be applied in most themes.

So go ahead and enrol in my class and I look forward to seeing you on the inside.

Currently, on the How To Publish An eBook website, I am giving away a FREE online course for anyone who is interested in making a living (or at least a part-time income) from self-publishing.

I also teach classes about course creation, online learning platforms and teaching, and recently, I launched the Writer Teacher Facebook Group as a place where self-published authors and online teachers can hang out to discuss how to make a significant income from your writing through the repurposing of content that you have already written in the form of online courses.

A Little Bit More About Me

My name is David James Ault and I am a British ex-pat living in Slovakia, in the heart of Europe, with my wonderful Slovak wife, our three children and our English Bullterrier, Shaggy.

Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) Degree in European Business, the first part of my career was spent in marketing, especially in the tourism industry, and during that time, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, at the CIM.

In 2001, I moved from the UK to Slovakia, where I set up a tourism portal about Slovakia and wrote travel related articles and books. I also began writing my first novel.

During the last 15 years, I have written non-fiction books in a variety of niches and set up a number of successful websites to promote my various interests. More recently, I have also been writing fiction and non-fiction books for teenagers and young adults and, in 2015, I set myself the goal of becoming a full-time Writer Teacher within the next couple of years.

I have an eclectic range of interests, including languages, writing, history, online marketing, design and travel. I also have a passion for cooking and eating healthy food, as well as the traditional Slovak dishes I have discovered, whilst living in the heart of Europe.

I have created a number of online courses for many of my niches and I have set up both the How To Publish An eBook and the Teach Someone A Lesson websites to impart some of the knowledge I have learned over the years to my students.
